The project involves designing a clothing line called "The Label" and creating a magazine cover, two-page spread, and website to advertise the brand. Jessica will focus on graphic design, photography, and digital editing skills to design layouts and include product photos. Her research will include surveys of audiences, analyzing existing fashion magazines and websites, and practicing skills in Photoshop. Over 9 weeks, she will complete research, pre-production planning, photo shoots, and use Photoshop to design her outcomes for evaluation.
In the first week of their FMP project, the student completed their pre-proposal, proposal, and context. They gained clarity on their product, a clothing brand, and how they will achieve their goals. Their skills in Photoshop, design, and social media will help with creating logos, designs, and promoting the brand. While confident in these skills, they aim to improve in Photoshop by trying new techniques.
The document provides an evaluation of Jessica Crosland's fashion brand project. It discusses the themes and research behind the project, including exploring audience demographics, website design trends, and the impacts of social media and the fashion industry. It summarizes the outcomes as a website promoting the brand and an Instagram page. It also discusses Jessica's feelings and development process, including undertaking research, using a photoshoot contributor, and refining ideas based on feedback. Challenges around image sizing and editing as well as time management are noted.
The researcher analyzed existing fashion and streetwear brands to inform the development of their own products. Common features included being popular brands that use social media, particularly Instagram, to advertise. The researcher will include creative photo editing styles and simple but effective magazine layouts in their work. Audience research found that streetwear shoppers prefer buying in stores but are increasingly using Instagram to shop and find inspiration from celebrities. Affordability and exclusivity are important to the target audience.
- The document analyzes existing fashion and lifestyle magazines and websites to gather ideas for a new magazine concept.
- Key aspects noted include using celebrities on covers to attract readers, balancing images and text on pages, creative photography using different angles, and consistent branding elements like fonts and color schemes.
- Inspiration is drawn from layouts, photo styles, and how brands engage audiences on social media. The analysis will help inform the planning and design of the new magazine.

The document discusses a magazine product created by the author. They developed conventions from other magazines like headers and titles but also challenged conventions through unique backgrounds and text boxes. The target audience is described as 14-21 year olds interested in indie, punk and rock music. Digital distribution is suggested as the best format given the subject matter and uniqueness of the music featured. The author learned skills with software like Photoshop and gaining feedback from testers to create a product that effectively targeted their audience.
This document summarizes the learning process of creating a music magazine as a media coursework project. It discusses improvements made from the initial rough draft to the final version, including higher quality photos taken with better lighting in the studio. The document also reflects on learning new technologies like Photoshop and InDesign, and tools for editing photos and designing page layouts. Overall, the creator learned that lighting, software skills, and iterative improvements are important for constructing a polished media product.

The document discusses two presentation methods used for a fashion marketing project (FMP): Instagram and a website.
Instagram was chosen because it is known as the best form of fashion advertisement in 2022, allowing photos of clothing pieces to be shared. The author was already familiar with Instagram from personal use and following competitors.
A website was also beneficial as it allowed all images and more detailed brand information to be displayed. Websites are commonly used by fashion brands for selling and promoting new lines. The website builder Wix was used due to its popularity and the author's experience using it for previous projects.
The document provides information about audience research and existing fashion brands. It analyzes the demographics, interests and behaviors of Instagram users. It also examines the website and Instagram of the brand ASOS. Some key points:
- Instagram's largest audiences are aged 25-34, followed by 18-24. Females make up 51% of users. Top interests are travel, music and food.
- ASOS targets a similar demographic to the author's (ages 18-25). Its website uses large images and features sales to attract customers. Its Instagram uses influencers, celebrity content and varied creative images.
- Examining existing successful brands provides inspiration for styles, techniques and strategies to engage the target
Jessica Crosland is proposing a fashion brand project focused on print and photography. She has gained experience creating magazines, websites and using tools like Photoshop. Her concept is to create a fashion brand promoting body confidence through a website, Instagram page and model photography. Research will include analyzing other brands and the fashion industry. She will evaluate her work through reflection and feedback to improve her skills for university studies. A schedule outlines tasks from pre-production research, experiments, production of the website and social media, to evaluation and presentation.
1) The author has a passion for fashion design and media. Their photoshop and illustration skills have improved over time through projects. Organization is also a strength which helps with time management and meeting deadlines.
2) The author wants to use their strengths and address past weaknesses in their final project. They enjoy the creative and theoretical aspects of fashion and want to explore how social media impacts how women are portrayed.
3) Previous projects include magazines, websites, and posters related to fashion. This experience will help with creating a website and social media platform for their final project advertisement. The author hopes to gain skills relevant to their future career goals.
The document discusses the author's passion for fashion promotion and their choice to study fashion promotion at university. The author loves fashion and has always been interested in trends. They have skills in areas like photography, design, and social media marketing that they feel will help them in a career promoting fashion brands. While the author originally considered fashion design, they realized a degree in fashion promotion would better allow them to utilize their technical and branding skills. Previous projects in college focused on fashion and helped the author envision having their own fashion brand one day. They are motivated to learn more about promoting fashion through media and are eager to gain experience through placements and working with others interested in the industry.
The student proposes a fashion media project centered around creating their own clothing brand and photography. They are passionate about fashion and have always enjoyed the design aspects of media like websites and magazines. The main part of the project that is important is establishing their own fashion brand, which has been a goal of theirs after university. They want to get practice with this project. Influences for the project include successful Instagram fashion brands that began with media and progressed to having their own lines. The student wants their audience to feel confident and surprised by the clothes, which will have a streetwear yet classy style using on-trend colors. They have chosen this project style as it represents themselves and their passion for the fashion industry.
This document provides an evaluation template for a Year Two creative media production project. It includes sections for an overview of the project, what attracted the student to the theme, research conducted and how it informed the project, the project outcome, personal reflections on the experience, collaboration, feelings upon completion, evaluation of good and bad points, challenges faced, rating the final piece, successful elements, and how it appeals to the target audience.
In Week 1, the author began their project by researching statistics about their target demographic of 16-24 year olds using various websites. They looked at popular social media platforms and audience interests to help design an appealing product. They created an audience profile using the research.
In Week 2, the author continued researching existing products and found information on color schemes, fonts, and logos that would appeal to their target demographic. They were happy with the logo they created.
In Week 3, the author began creating assets for their website and social media account, including a background image and first Instagram post. They reflected on areas they still wanted to improve or add more research to.
This proposal outlines Jessica Crosland's project focusing on creating a website for a swipe match app targeting 16-24 year olds. She will focus on print design and production. Her tasks include researching the target audience, exploring interests and existing apps, developing content and a logo in Photoshop, building the website using Wix, tracking progress in a reflective diary, and evaluating the final project. She aims to understand how to attract and understand her target demographic through audience research and an engaging design.
The document provides research on audience interests and existing social media platforms and products that are popular among the 16-24 age demographic. It analyzes the audiences, content topics, and design features of Twitter, TikTok, Instagram, Squid Game, Love Island, and Spider-Man to understand what resonates with the target age group. Colour schemes, fonts, logos, and a proof of concept Instagram profile are developed based on the research. A mood board is also created with ideas for including social media links, events calendar, and forum discussions on the planned website.
The document discusses how the male gaze theory, which views women as objects for male pleasure, is relevant when analyzing women depicted in Playboy magazines. It describes how Playboy magazines presented women in a highly sexualized manner focused on their physical appearance. The male gaze relegates women to a subordinate status and can negatively impact women's self-esteem. Playboy founder Hugh Hefner exerted strict control over the magazine's models, dictating their hair, dress, and behavior to conform to his preferences and priorities of objectifying and commodifying women. Analyzing Playboy through the lens of the male gaze theory provides insights into how women have historically been portrayed in media primarily for male audiences.
This document discusses several key concepts related to media analysis, including auteur theory, reception theory, and the male gaze.
Auteur theory suggests that a film director's style and themes across their body of work identifies them as the "author" of their films. Reception theory examines how audiences interpret and make meaning from media texts in different, negotiated ways based on their own experiences and identities.
The male gaze theory proposes that visual media, especially films, are often constructed from the perspective of the heterosexual male viewer. This frames women as passive sexual objects to be looked at, prioritizing their appearance and the male viewer's desire over women's own subjectivity or agency. Studies link the influence of the male

The male gaze frames women as passive objects for male pleasure rather than full subjects. Hugh Hefner exerted control over his girlfriends' appearances to fit his brand's stereotypical image. Analyzing Playboy helped inform the document writer's own fashion project, which aims to portray women with confidence and self-expression rather than for the male gaze.
This document discusses how the male gaze theory is relevant to analyzing women in Playboy magazines. It explores how Playboy magazines and TV shows objectify women to attract a male audience. The male gaze reduces women to passive objects for male pleasure and consumption. By analyzing magazine covers, photos, and TV episodes, the document finds that Playboy portrayed women through a male lens, controlling their appearance and empowering men over women.

- The document is a reflective diary of a student's 4-week process of creating a fanzine in Photoshop.
- In week 1, the student designed the front and back covers, struggling with layout and fonts but improving with practice.
- In week 2, the student created hashtag pages and continued improving speed and layout skills.
- In week 3, the student added interview pages and illustrations, struggling with fitting text but making progress.
- In the 4th and final week, the student completed the fanzine by adding final articles and pages, then compiling it online.
- Overall the student was pleased with completing the fanzine but noted areas for further improvement and practice.
Jessica Crosland created a mood board and style sheet to plan her fanzine focused on fashion, social media, and mental health. She included inspirational quotes, illustration art, and photos related to her themes and audience of women. For content, she plans to conduct an interview and include pages on social media effects, the fashion industry, and a hashtag for audience involvement. Her 12-page fanzine will have a basic front cover, content page, interview, and sectioned information. She has planned a 4-week production schedule to research, design, and finish the fanzine.
The document describes experiments conducted by Jessica Crosland using Photoshop to learn new techniques for her project. In her first experiment, she used tools like the rectangle and warp tools to transform an image of a strawberry into a new shape. While she struggled with some aspects, she was able to learn new skills. For her second experiment, she replicated the technique with a watermelon image and also used the drawing tool, gaining more experience. She then created proof of concept pages for her fanzine, transforming images and incorporating colors, fonts, and elements to prototype layout ideas. The experiments helped her progress her skills and ideas for her final project.
Jessica Crosland proposes creating a 12-page fanzine about the fashion industry and social media's impact on women aged 16-24. She will research existing fanzines and online sources to find relevant facts. The fanzine will raise awareness of how the industry objectifies women through social media and its effects on mental health, while providing ways to enact change. Jessica will evaluate her work through a production diary and presentation reflecting on her process and areas for improvement in future projects.

LAND USE LAND COVER AND NDVI OF MIRZAPUR DISTRICT, UPRAHUL
This Dissertation explores the particular circumstances of Mirzapur, a region located in the
core of India. Mirzapur, with its varied terrains and abundant biodiversity, offers an optimal
environment for investigating the changes in vegetation cover dynamics. Our study utilizes
advanced technologies such as GIS (Geographic Information Systems) and Remote sensing to
analyze the transformations that have taken place over the course of a decade.
The complex relationship between human activities and the environment has been the focus
of extensive research and worry. As the global community grapples with swift urbanization,
population expansion, and economic progress, the effects on natural ecosystems are becoming
more evident. A crucial element of this impact is the alteration of vegetation cover, which plays a
significant role in maintaining the ecological equilibrium of our planet.Land serves as the foundation for all human activities and provides the necessary materials for
these activities. As the most crucial natural resource, its utilization by humans results in different
'Land uses,' which are determined by both human activities and the physical characteristics of the
land.
The utilization of land is impacted by human needs and environmental factors. In countries
like India, rapid population growth and the emphasis on extensive resource exploitation can lead
to significant land degradation, adversely affecting the region's land cover.
Therefore, human intervention has significantly influenced land use patterns over many
centuries, evolving its structure over time and space. In the present era, these changes have
accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.
Accurate understanding of land use and cover is imperative for the development planning
of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land
and water managers, and urban planners, are interested in obtaining data on land use and cover
changes, conversion trends, and other related patterns. The spatial dimensions of land use and
cover support policymakers and scientists in making well-informed decisions, as alterations in
these patterns indicate shifts in economic and social conditions. Monitoring such changes with the
help of Advanced technologies like Remote Sensing and Geographic Information Systems is
crucial for coordinated efforts across different administrative levels. Advanced technologies like

3. Colour Scheme Palette:
Included in my development and planning I created a mood board and style sheet for my mood board I
gathered together a few inspirational quotes which are related to my chosen ideas for my fanzine I
decided on including quotes because this will inspire my audience as they are positive and uplifting
words and it will push my audience to believe theses words. I will also have these larger on single pages
on my fanzine to really stand out to my audience and put the points across. I chose a mix of quotes some
which give out facts on fashion but also some quotes which tell the audience what they want to hear to
make them feel better and uplift them I did this because when I, myself look at quotes and read through
them it gives you’re a reality check for example ‘Instagram is not real life’ it makes you question that it
isn’t therefore my audience will think this and feel a lot better and raise this awareness which I aim to
achieve. Another selection of images I included in my mood board is illustration art (top right images)
this was something I did an experiment with included in my proof of concept and I liked how this had
turned out and I would like to look into more detail on how I can included this in parts of my fanzine
using Photoshop, I mainly gathered pictures relating to my audience (women + clothing).I love these
images because a few of these are basic but look very detailed which I like and will match in well with the
themes and colour schemes I am using.
The next range of images I found where also illustration ones but related with social media because this
is a subject which I am also focusing on and these style of images I can create myself ands include on the
social media pages I also liked the images of the 3 heads and the images included with phones I think this
is creative and with a saturated colour scheme this can stand out a lot to my audience. I decided o
including a couple images which are photography ones of my themes this is because I may struggle with
creating my other images using photoshop and therefore I have a backup in case I decide to take images
instead as it is good to include this in my planning.it also gives me a variety to chose from and I can
decide this on the first day of my production. Moving onto my style sheet I gathered the main font styles
I am looking to use script and serif fonts because these fonts are the ones which caught my eye especially
the script ones because these look mostly like they would be included in a fanzine. The last bit which I
focused on was my colour scheme palette I did chose a couple colours which matched with my mood
board images and I also chose pastel bright colours because this is the type of colour theme I want to
keep throughout my whole fanzine because it brings my pages together nicely and looks a lot more
appealing.
4. I picked out a few magazines for inspiration to my
fanzine (covers) and looked into a few of these to find
out a bit more within the fashion industry and beauty
as vogue holds a huge platform in this subject.

INTERVIEW:
I am looking to create an interview based on my chosen subjects of fashion, social media and mental health. My interview will be conducted either over the
phone or in person as this will depend on who I find to interview as I will be reaching out to a range of fashion brands which I know through email and social
media this will also include certain influencers I can give a message or email the brands in my planning and wait to see if I get an response. However if I do not
hear back from anyone I will chose my plan B this will be one of my friends who likes fashion and also uses social media a lot and I will ask her in case I need to
use this option which could be most likely if I do not hear back from brands. I want to ask the person who I will be interviewing a range of questions therefore I
can reflect with good feedback and more than just one response answers therefore I have more information to conduct to my audience and in my fanzine. I will
only be interviewing one person because I personally prefer this over a group of people because I get to know that person and my audience will specifically
know that all the responses are from this exact person which makes more sense rather than different answers which don’t add up. The two options I have
chosen on how I will conduct the interview will either be that I write down the responses or by recording the interview to then going back and typing up each
responses so I don’t miss any important bits or write down the wrong response. Once I get the responses to my interview I am wanting this to cover over at
least two pages to my fanzine mainly because I don’t want my fanzine to just focus on the interview I want to include more pages on other information.
FANZINE:
• 12 pages
For my fanzine the content which I will be including will be split into different sections therefore I will included a content page this will have each part and what
is on which pages I decide to have this because it makes it a lot easier for my audience to find the page which they want to look on or find specific information.
This will be after my front cover page which I want to keep quite basic and not over crowd this page because this will be the page my audience first see when
picking up the fanzine and will sort of predict whether they want to look inside (if it interests them or not) after both of these pages I want to include a couple
pages which focuses on the effects of social media and mental health and also generally about social media as a whole I will produce this by researching on
information using google mainly to put together a few paragraphs for each page and find the specific quote images which will match up with the subjects for
the other side of my pages as I don’t want to add too much text because my audience may be put off if there is to much information to read through. The next
couple of pages will be based around fashion and women I will still continue throughout the same theme of having quotes on one side and also include either
illustration images or photography images to make my pages look more detailed and creative I want to categories my fanzine so all the bits of information are in
the correct order and are easy to find. Once I have all my fashion information which will be based upon the secrets behind the fashion industry and specific
parts of a day in the life of models etc how they see the fashion industry or general facts about effects on fashion and waste I will then include a hashtag which
will inform my audience and help my audience get involved as they can use this hashtag on their social media to spread the word across to the rest of the world
this hashtag will either take up the whole of the pages or I will add in the hashtag with a link or QR code. Therefore they can click this to find a subject message
where they can write their opinion and get involved or write to a brand on how they can get involved and help make a change. These will be all my pages
included in my fanzine.
6. Planning:
Included in my planning I decided to focus on finding someone who I will be in interviewing as I am still unsure at this point, I messaged a range of brands and
influencers as shown a few above which I had sent, so far, I haven’t gotten any responses which I have a plan b of using one of mu friends who is interested in my
subject, but I could also ask my manager who I work with because she ,manages a brand which does included clothing and female fashion related products. I chose
to ask these people before using my plan b as I would be great to use someone with a platform who has a lot of experience within the social media lifestyle or
someone who owns their own brand but if I don’t get a response within a week, I then have a plan which I can fall back on and won't be stuck on who to interview.
I found these people through social media (mainly Instagram) and picked a few which I did know and a few which I haven’t heard of before therefore I had a range
of people if any would contact back. Below on the next slide I also began to write out my interview questions because I will then already have them ready for my
interview and will be less time consuming for me when it comes to the interview however these questions could change overtime, as I could ask more detailed
questions which appeal only towards the person, I am interviewing which I don’t 100% know of yet, I have just put together a few which fit well together and
related towards my subject. To help me find my interview questions I used the internet for a bit of inspiration and looked at other peoples interviews online which
related towards either social media or fashion branding/industry as I was struggling with finding questions and how I should word them because I want them to
make sense towards the person I will interview. I have also planned out that I will audio record the interview and then listen back on this and write up the
interview this is because in my experiments I just wrote up the interview and it wasn’t as accurate and very time consuming.
7. INTERVIEW QUESTIONS:
(these may change)
1. Does social media negatively impact wellbeing?
2. How do companies and brands use social media?
3. Why do brands use social media?
4. Does social media influence the fashion industry?
5. What social media do you use the most and why is this?
6. How does social media affect mental health?
7. Do you ever get jealous of other peoples seemingly extravagant lives on social media?
8. How does the fashion industry affect body image?
9. Does the fashion industry objectify women?
10. is fashion responsible for body image issues?
11. What is fashion to you?
8. LAYOUT PLAN:

Include my fanzines

Another focus was my layout plans for my planning because before I go into making my
production, I want a plan to know what will be on each page or how many pages I will include
together therefore I made a table below which is explain what's on my pages. I also made two
layout plans of my front and back cover because both pages are important for my fanzine as they
need to appeal towards my audience but also stand out and grab the attention therefore, I
chose feminine colour schemes and added images which relate in with my theme which I have
chosen (illustration) and for these to only have eyebrows and lips instead of other parts of the
face because this looks very minimalistic which I like. I have also added the minimum on both
pages because I don't want these to be overcrowded and look messy. My front cover also
includes social media apps to reveal to the audience that this isn’t just focused on one subject I
have then linked in social media into my back cover by adding my fanzine brand social media
which the audience can look onto. This was a good thing to put this on the back cover because it
is what my audience will look at the end therefore, they will then remember the social media
link and type this in to investigate more if they are interested. Overall, this has helped me to
have a better understanding and idea to what will be included within my pages.

9. Production Schedule:
Number Of Weeks: production process:
WEEK 1 Included in my first week of production I will be collecting together context
which is going to be included in my fanzine I chose this first because if I
gather together the information for each page it will be easier for me in the
long run as once I have my information I will then know how I will design
each page to link together. I will gather the information by look on the
internet making a lot of notes and turning these notes into paragraphs to
include. I will also begin my interview which will take over one day and then I
can start to add these in my fanzine as I have pre planned my questions out.
WEEK 2 I will finish off the interview and then take pictures as a back up in case I need
a few to include in my fanzine, however they may not be used. I will also
begin the creation of my fanzine by looking at my layout plans included in my
planning and start with one page at a time using photoshop.
WEEK 3 Next, I can focus on the design part and test out my colour schemes that I've
chosen add the fonts in and also test out my illustration idea which I included
on my mood board to see if this works out and see my outcomes (I may
decided to just use images which I have taken instead).I shall get to the end
of the week and have almost finished the fanzine.
WEEK 4 For my last week of production I will continue with finish off my fanzine and
making any slight improvements that I can find or things which could look
better and make sure I am happy with my outcome. I will also look back
through every page to make sure I haven’t made any errors or make sure I've
included the most I possibly can so I can then submit the fanzine and finish
my project.
Editor's Notes
You could create a mood board of images related to your product. They could be inspirational or visually interesting. Analyse what you have gathered.
Decide on content and think about how you will structure your piece – consider the conventions of your chosen style/genre, think about the best methods to appeal to your audience.
Planning will vary depending on if you are doing a web series, podcast or a fanzine.
Web-series: A script, storyboard, organisational docs and clearance forms for your contributors/sources.
Fanzine: Content outline, visual style, pagination, organisational documents.
Podcast: Script, organisational docs, clearance forms for your contributors/sources.
Finally work out a production schedule for the project. Once you have a final proposal, begin to plan how you intend to realise your project and what you will need to create/collect.
