whilst saving the generals daughter Dryaa Xuto sacrifice himself so that Dryaa and Wyrm can escape, he does this by imploding his club leading to Thrax’s forces being weakened.
Dryaa flies both her and Wyrm out of Thrax’s fortress but she is very weak after being kept prisoner so Wyrm must carry her and he carries her to the Sharman she is left to be
healed by the Sharman for 14 days during these 14 days Thrax’s army starts there march towards the kingdom of Xilo by the time that Dryaa awakes the battle has began she flies
her and Wyrm over to Xilo where Thrax’s army had broken into the kingdom Dryaa needed to gat to the watch tower to destroy the army after fighting off Thrax’s troops in the
guard tower the general and other high ranking members of Xilo had been killed in a last attempted to defend the watch tower Dryaa defeats Thrax’s army and she becomes the
new leader of Xilo

along with Ethan. They move on towards their destination whilst will is collecting water he is lured into the lake by a siren and is drowned
and eaten. they move onwards and are attacked by a pack of wolfs everyone, but Thomas survives. They then climb a mountain which
James falls off and dies. Dan and Millie make it to the location and realise that it is an abandoned base after this Millie attacks dan forcing
him to kill her, but she badly damaged him which leads dan to so come to his injuries

Who Mac Javier and Charlie
What 3 bandits must survive in the old west after robbing multiple banks this leads to them becoming outlaws. There is Mac an
Irish immigrant Javier a Mexican gun slinger and Charlie a freed slave. The gang move around not staying in the same place
for longer than a month. After a big bank robbery Mac wants to leave after thinking that he has enough this angers Javier
as he wants to keep going Charlie eventually joins Javier side. Javier threatens to kill Mac if he leaves this leads to a gun
fight to break out between them attracting the attention of the law after Mac and Javier run out if bullets, they both
charge at each other and have a fist fight Charlie is fighting the law. Javier wins the fight and grabs a nearby knife and is
about to stab Mac then Javier falls to the ground dead Charlie had shot him in order to save Mac. Mac tells Charlie to run
and Mac will hold off the closing in law this leads to Mac dying and Charlie buying a ranch with the money.

The battle of the black egg
Opening fight destruction, they are fighting on
an old ancient mound which is called the black
egg in this battle Dryaa was taken by Thrax since
she is the only person who can defeat Thrax but
Dryaa cannot be destroyed unless she's in the
watcher's tower which is the only place, she can
destroy Thrax so instead Thrax puts her into a
stasis type sleep and keeps her in his throne
room.
Wyrm and his friend Xuto hear about a big
payment to the people who bring back
Dryaa Wyrm had been in the battle of the
black egg he watched from the back with his
father and saw what happed to Dryaa he
says to his father that he going to find Dryaa
and his father gifted him his sword that he
used in the military and with that him and
Xuto set off to find Dryaa
Wyrm and Xuto walked over the Black egg
seeing the devastation of the battle on the
surrounding areas from standing on the
black egg they figured out the direction
that they needed to go in once going
down off the other side of the black egg
they went through a very marshy and
foggy forest after a while they heard a big
whoosh sound they turned around and
saw a giant sliver serpent they began to
run but the snake spat a liquid at them
which made them fall asleep.
They woke in shelly the shaman's
shack; she had saved both Wyrm
and Xuto and gave powers of the
serpent's bite for Wyrm and the
Manis heart for Xuto

• What have you learned from your research?
That trailer can be high or low quality but there must be a change in pace throughout the
whole video and it should be left on a cliff hanger or a massive reveal of loads of
information.
With magazines I've learnt to keep the cover and look simple as to not overwhelm the
reader but keep a running theme throughout the whole magazine with font and font sizes.
• What aspects of the research will you include within your own work?
I will keep the music of hollow knight and the intensity I will also us the pace of the
fellowship of the ring and keeping on beat with the music.
From the empire hobbit magazine cover I learnt that you need one high quality image and
to make that image the soul focus of your magazine. With the play monster world
magazine, I learnt that you should keep a consistent them of font size and colour and not
to crowd over the cover with loads of text since it make it overwhelming for the reader

32. Research
The strengths of my research were that it helped me find the target
audience and also inspired ideas for different parts of the project like
the magazine design is similar to the empire magazine. My research
also helped me stay away from things that I didn’t like and include
things that I did like, for example the “play” magazine which had too
many words on it for a magazine and it was overwhelming to look at
unlike the “empire” magazine which had a lot less information but it
looked more appealing and a lot less overwhelming with its
information giving it a lot more orderly approach. The empire magazine
was what directly inspired my magazine cover.

The weaknesses of my research was that it had too much influence
over the earlier work like my magazine which I had to redo multiple
times. I also didn’t pay as much attention to other aspects of my
research by deciding that one magazine was fundamentally bad and
the other one wasn’t this lead to me ignoring most o the good features
of the “play” magazine, like the running colour scheme. The research
also set a standard for all my work which was very high and this would
lead to a lot of designs being removed and me setting a very high
standard for the magazine cover meaning I wasted a lot of time on
different versions of the cover.

The planning helped my products because it organised what I need to
get done in the timeframe. As well as plans on how to create different
things like sounds and different software that would be used in creating
my products. As well as the way I want the game to look like colour
schemes character designs.

The weaknesses of my planning were they were very unorganised and
some things were not planned for like the lockdown where I would be
working from home but luckily I have adobe creative cloud so I had
access to photoshop and premier pro. But I didn’t prepare for this to
happen and if I didn’t already have it, I would have been left in a bad
situation and had to use other software which would have meant the
work that I had started at college would have been wasted since they
would have all been in photoshop files.

I think I managed my time well on the most part and kept on schedule,
I finished on time even though some of my work could of improved if I
had extra time but they are all round good pieces of work. At the end
of the production I felt like I was having to rush more work out which
could of lead to a decline in the quality of the work.

If I had more time I would improve the animations and add more
frames to make the walking look more natural, I would also refine my
posters and create more diverse designs for them. I would also add
more asset designs.

My work compared to shovel knight is similar but also different. There
similarities is the style that they are both video games following a
similar narrative of finding someone important. They are different
because shovel knight had a team of people work on it, also it has been
heavily refined with a bigger time scale to make it and more sprites and
assets for different areas.

My work is technical qualities are not very complicated but it takes a lot of
patience and skill to do them for example the cut scene animation and demo
level which took a week to make the cut scene animation and a whole day to
make the demo level I made the animation in photoshop which took some
time to get used to the way it works in photoshop. After animating them I
used the Foley technique by adding sound like walking hit sounds. I created
them with things around my house for example the walking was done on a
wooden floor since it sounds louder I then wore shoes and walked next to
my phone on the spot.
Making my posters in photoshop I used small canverse usually 120x80 pixels
as to make different objects then I would resize them to make them fit
usually 1080x360 pixels I used this to create everything in the production.
40. Aesthetic Qualities
Comparing my products to the video game owl boy there are a lot of
aesthetic similarities like the way that the world and characters are
designed in the art form of pixel art, owl boy also uses a similar way
that levels are designed in my products with take a level detail for
example a tree and then copy and pasting it and then flipping the
image to make it look different then placing it somewhere else.
The advertising for the game is different to my game because of the
art style its done in with it being drawn whilst mine is in a pixel art
style.
41. Aesthetic Qualities
Comparing my products to the game owl boy there are a lot of
aesthetic differences for example like the style of our characters. the
design of owl boys characters are completely different to the style of
my games characters there characters outlines don’t stand out too
much whilst mine do especially with our main characters this is
because of the choice of colour that make owl boy and the video game
surroundings. Also the health assets are completely different on what
they appear as, they appear as fruit whistle in the kingdom of xilo its
hearts which is what restores health.
42. Aesthetic qualities
I think that my product is aesthetically pleasing enough because the
character in the game look unique to most other pixel art video game
as the designs of the characters are very abnormal with them having
pale white faces and big mouths and small eyes in comparison to there
mouths. But the style of characters changes through but they all retain
a similar body and shape this is because of the body template that I
made to keep all characters consistent and then I could adjust there
hight depending on the character for example Wyrm is the normal size
of a character in the kingdom of Xilo and shelly the Sharman was
shortened since she is a witch and it fits her character when people
think of a witch
43. Aural Qualities
I think that my work sounds good I have been using the Foley
technique in my videogame demo and cut scene I created these
sounds around my house. For example the opening and closing of
the door was just the sound of a door shutting or the level up sound
is hitting scissors against my metal bed frame. My favourite aspect of
the audio was the music that I made on beep box since it was the
theme tune and went along well with the menu screen animation.
The strengths of my audio is the consistence of the audio through
the videos and the simplicity of get the clips.
44. Aural Qualities
If I could improve my audio I would maybe do a few more takes of the
sound effects just to improve the quality on some of them. I would
also redo the audio which has my voice in it so that it sounds better.
The weaknesses of my audio are the clearness of the audio, how
rushed the audio was to get, and I wasted time for people to leave so I
could record the footstep audio.

The target audience that I set was 14-18 years old males, the game
would appeal to this group because of the time that they were brought
up in. during the time that this group grew up fantasy style media was
very big with the lord of the rings coming out around the time they
were born to the hobbit coming out when they were older, the game
would appeal to them because of the fantasy's element of the game
and it could remind them of those films. I think the story would appeal
to the target audience since it is simple and easy to follow but still has
complex layer's underneath that.
46. Overall strengths of the final package.
Overall I think that my strength are with this project my increased
confidence with using photoshop and creating pixel art. Items that I
have made with pixel art are my magazine posters character designs,
making each one of these made me more confident in my ability in
photoshop.
Another one of my strengths is the menu screen, all the parts that
went into it went well, making the background adding the kingdom
of xilo logo, then animating it moving 5 pixels at a time then adding
in the theme music.
47. Overall weaknesses of the final package
My overall weaknesses were organising all my work, cut scene
animation and level audio. The organising of my work was bad because
I put it all into a folder and the only things that were separated were
my animation documents I eventually organised them after I was
finished but it made it hard to navigate what I needed. I didn’t do my
cut scene animation well because it was my first time properly
animating and I made a lot of mistakes. My level audio wasn’t good
because I almost lost it all by accident and it took me a while to get the
audio just right.
