It will be a video documentary series.
Target Audience 16–24-year-olds football fans
Rationale:
Last years end project I worked a lot with postproduction and focused on making small
edits and cuts look clean, this is something that will certainly help me to produce a good
video. I now have practice in overlaying videos and having them overlap in custom sections
and shapes. I worked a bit with cutting and making t seem smooth so again this will help
while I’m working with two cameras. I focused a lot on my framing of shots too, this is
something that I think is very important especially whilst filming interviews and how they
are set out.
Project Concept:.
My idea for my project is to have two intervieweesdebate as to who is the greatest premier
league striker of all time. The goal for them is to convince me (I’ll be playing the role of the
host of the overall documentary and do any potential narration.) who will be taking the spot
of the striker role and why they deserve to be there. It will focus on the players stats (goals,
assists.) and how they compare to each other in the amount of games they played and who
it was for and in which competition and what age. Ill be overlaying clips and archive footage
over the top, the footage will be of the players they are discussing and of certain points and
highlights of their career when they are brought up. Ill overlay a vintage style yellowy mask
over the top of the footage ( if not already needed) to make it seem more aged and like its
been pulled from an archive. Another part of the piece will be a quick short interview style
introduction to each interviewee and why they are suited to be talking about this ( based on
the teams they support and how it fits in with who they chose) they will be described as a
specialist fan or a general fan to the club they support or the league there teamsin.
How will the project be evaluated and reviewed:.
Once I start production, I plan on keeping a diary style journal on a PowerPoint where I will keep it
updated on what I did that day, what challengers there were and how I overcame them. The
evaluation will be based on how well I think the piece fits my topic and how much I like it as a piece
as it is something I would like to properly create in the future.
