It was observed that our population is growing; per capita availability of arable land and irrigation water is shrinking. The frequent suggestion for food import ignores the fact that agriculture is not food producing machine, but is the backbone of the livelihood security system for over 60 per cent population. Development in science and technology in general as well as information and communication technology in particular endorses with ways of facilitating a wide range of communication, information and advisory services in process of technology transformation. Actually extension official are grappling with the question of how best to harness information and communication technology to improve rural livelihood wit sustainability. Sustainability emerges out of shared human resources objectives, knowledge, decision, technology and organization. Kisan Mobile Advisory Services (KMAS), which is a part of the ICT tools is employed by the most of the Krishi Vigyan Kendras in Orissa. In the programme the mobile numbers of progressive farmers, Krishak Sathis (Farmers’ friend), extension officials, and input dealers were registered and grouping is done as per the enterprise/activity basis for facility of filtering purpose. Till April, 2014 about 15000 numbers were registered. The usual messages are being serving twice a week and timely information/advices are communicating as per the need of the situation. From the list of progressive farmers, seventy five farmers were selected for the study with the objective to know their preferences and utility in their field situation. Majority of the farmers opined that time specific advisories are most important followed by weather forecasting and marketing information. The messages on agronomic practices are most suitable followed by management of disease & pests are found to be most suited as per the result. They suggested to serve the message on local language.

Rural Areas are deprived of basic amenities such as access to drinking water, electricity, toilets and sewage systems giving rise to unhygienic conditions in the rural areas. Lack of healthcare facility in terms of infrastructure and staff has aggravated problems of health leading to infant mortality, death of pregnant mothers, decreased average life span in rural areas. Poor quality of teaching fraternity and non availability of infrastructure are major reason for illiteracy and unemployment. Non-agricultural income such as animal husbandry, sericulture and vocational trainings that supplement the agricultural income that needs to be focused. Mechanization should be the priority in enhancing agricultural yield followed by storage and transportation facility to the market in raising agricultural income. Excessive use of fertilizers and pesticides due to lack of knowledge among farmers contribute to water as well as air pollution deteriorating the environment. The disposable income spent on cultural aspects needs to be taken into consideration in assessing the status of the rural area. There is a need to assess rural areas from five dimensions such as economic, education, health, environment and disposable income in understanding present level of development in rural areas. Cause and effect diagram is established contributing to the development of specified domains. The conceptual index is a composition of Result Index and Cause Index. This distinction aids in examining the result index to measure the current level of rural development and cause index to evaluate the process of rural development for policy makers in identifying the areas of improvement in the overall development of the rural area.

Abstract: Assessment of the agricultural information systems and communication arrangement used by extension workers provided a framework to identify the strength and weaknesses of the current systems and led to recommendations to improve their performance. Structured interviews were used to collect data from a randomly selected twenty eight extension workers of the Sidama zone of SNNPRs. The data analysis was performed using SPSS. The responses indicated that Woreda agricultural office top rated (77.8%), followed by mass media (55.6%), news paper (51.9%) and mobile (37%) by delivering agricultural information regularly. The result of the study shows that all of the respondents (100%) have got agricultural information in the form of training and extension meeting. Similarly, 96.3% have got from local radio program and 88.9% from field visit, manual and national radio program. In addition to this, national television program, leaflets, and regional television program serves as source of agricultural information for 74.1, 74.1, and 70.4% of the respondents respectively whereas reports and websites provide agricultural information for 3.7 and7.4% respectively. Among the respondents, the majority (59.3%) have used notebook to file agricultural information obtained from different sources through different means. However, 3.7 and 29.6% of them have been used farmers training centers (FTC) and kept the original document to file the available agricultural information. Based on the result of the study most (74.04%) of the respondents were highly motivated on their work. However 22.2 and 3.7% of them were low and medium motivated on their work respectively. The study revealed that extension agents in the study area had adequate job autonomy. However the extension workers did not have an appropriate information management system. The finding of this research revealed that the governments need to frame sensitive policies to address the problem of the extension workers loyalty to their organization in order to increase their commitment in which they play vital roles in agricultural development.

Abstract
Due to rapid advancement in information technology, digital revolution creates a new era & scope in technology based learning system (TBLS). Considering the scenario a place which is extremely poor in every aspect of human development index (HDI) so called TRAI region of eastern Uttar Pradesh. New portable and electronic devices take place of old text books in this region. In this study we introduced some key questions with novel emerging e-Smart based learning environment. Smart based learning simply means that learning and teaching by electronic devices. Our study also established some key findings especially in human quality based development (HQBD) in this region such as thinking ability, living standered, human value, future based life planning etc. We also observe during our study, living standered are significantly improve and also this things create a new space to eradicate the poverty allevation in trai region. For our study we take data of 800 hundred students from different colleges of this region as well as concerned demographic data of rural areas. Stakeholder’s Participation in Watershed Programme for Sustainable Livelihood...inventionjournals
Stakeholders have significant contribution in effective implementation of the Watershed Development Programme. A study conducted with 192 watershed people in tribal areas from four blocks in Nuapara and Kalahandi districts of Odisha revealed for the poor participation of the stakeholders in implementation of the programme. Professional attitude, assuming responsibility for success, accountability, sincerity, interest and interpersonal relationships were lacking with the officials. Sufficient attempts were not given for community organisation particularly leadership development, good harmony, cooperation and coordination among people. Adequate supports were not extended for credit, input supply and infrastructure developments. Technical guidance particularly immediate action on field problems, close monitoring and supervision, training, exposure and diagnostic visits were lacking. The Watershed Mission Director and the Collector and District Magistrate as the chairman of the district advisory committee have to take all attempt for active participation of the stakeholders and organise watershed community properly for successful implementation of the programme towards upliftment of tribal people

This document summarizes a study on rural development strategies in Biak District, Papua, Indonesia. The study used quantitative methods to analyze rural infrastructure development programs. It found that capacity building for local institutions, integrated agricultural systems, and sustainable development were key strategic concepts. Factor analysis identified five important factors: processing and marketing, seed and planting techniques, farm factors, upstream factors, and irrigation environment. This paper analyzes the spatial pattern of rural growth centers in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, India using nearest neighbor analysis. Rural growth centers provide goods, services, and facilities for surrounding populations. The study identifies 38 rural growth centers based on a composite score of socio-economic amenities. Nearest neighbor analysis finds the Rn value is 0.151, indicating rural growth centers are clustered. There is disparity in distribution of rural growth centers across blocks, so new centers are needed in underserved areas to decentralize services and slow rural-to-urban migration.

This study examines the effect of response reduction factors (R factors) on reinforced concrete (RC) framed structures through nonlinear dynamic analysis. Three RC frame models with varying heights (4, 8, and 12 stories) were analyzed in ETABS software under different R factors ranging from 1 to 5. The results showed that displacement increased as the R factor decreased, indicating less linear behavior for lower R factors. Drift also decreased proportionally with increasing R factors from 1 to 5. Shear forces in the frames decreased with higher R factors. In general, R factors of 3 to 5 produced more satisfactory performance with less displacement and drift. Abstract: Assessment of the agricultural information systems and communication arrangement used by extension workers provided a framework to identify the strength and weaknesses of the current systems and led to recommendations to improve their performance. Structured interviews were used to collect data from a randomly selected twenty eight extension workers of the Sidama zone of SNNPRs. The data analysis was performed using SPSS. The responses indicated that Woreda agricultural office top rated (77.8%), followed by mass media (55.6%), news paper (51.9%) and mobile (37%) by delivering agricultural information regularly. The result of the study shows that all of the respondents (100%) have got agricultural information in the form of training and extension meeting. Similarly, 96.3% have got from local radio program and 88.9% from field visit, manual and national radio program. In addition to this, national television program, leaflets, and regional television program serves as source of agricultural information for 74.1, 74.1, and 70.4% of the respondents respectively whereas reports and websites provide agricultural information for 3.7 and7.4% respectively. Among the respondents, the majority (59.3%) have used notebook to file agricultural information obtained from different sources through different means. However, 3.7 and 29.6% of them have been used farmers training centers (FTC) and kept the original document to file the available agricultural information. Based on the result of the study most (74.04%) of the respondents were highly motivated on their work. However 22.2 and 3.7% of them were low and medium motivated on their work respectively. The study revealed that extension agents in the study area had adequate job autonomy. However the extension workers did not have an appropriate information management system. The finding of this research revealed that the governments need to frame sensitive policies to address the problem of the extension workers loyalty to their organization in order to increase their commitment in which they play vital roles in agricultural development.

New portable and electronic devices take place of old text books in this region. In this study we introduced some key questions with novel emerging e-Smart based learning environment. Smart based learning simply means that learning and teaching by electronic devices. Our study also established some key findings especially in human quality based development (HQBD) in this region such as thinking ability, living standered, human value, future based life planning etc. We also observe during our study, living standered are significantly improve and also this things create a new space to eradicate the poverty allevation in trai region. For our study we take data of 800 hundred students from different colleges of this region as well as concerned demographic data of rural areas. During study we also focus & delineate to ask people about what are the changes they observe or found when they adopt new way of learning.

Stakeholders have significant contribution in effective implementation of the Watershed Development Programme. A study conducted with 192 watershed people in tribal areas from four blocks in Nuapara and Kalahandi districts of Odisha revealed for the poor participation of the stakeholders in implementation of the programme. Professional attitude, assuming responsibility for success, accountability, sincerity, interest and interpersonal relationships were lacking with the officials. Sufficient attempts were not given for community organisation particularly leadership development, good harmony, cooperation and coordination among people. Adequate supports were not extended for credit, input supply and infrastructure developments. Technical guidance particularly immediate action on field problems, close monitoring and supervision, training, exposure and diagnostic visits were lacking. The Watershed Mission Director and the Collector and District Magistrate as the chairman of the district advisory committee have to take all attempt for active participation of the stakeholders and organise watershed community properly for successful implementation of the programme towards upliftment of tribal people

This document summarizes a study on rural development strategies in Biak District, Papua, Indonesia. The study used quantitative methods to analyze rural infrastructure development programs. It found that capacity building for local institutions, integrated agricultural systems, and sustainable development were key strategic concepts. Factor analysis identified five important factors: processing and marketing, seed and planting techniques, farm factors, upstream factors, and irrigation environment. The conclusion discusses policies needed to encourage integrated agriculture, empower the rural poor, and improve access to resources, technologies, education, capital and markets.

This paper analyzes the spatial pattern of rural growth centers in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh, India using nearest neighbor analysis. Rural growth centers provide goods, services, and facilities for surrounding populations. The study identifies 38 rural growth centers based on a composite score of socio-economic amenities. Nearest neighbor analysis finds the Rn value is 0.151, indicating rural growth centers are clustered. There is disparity in distribution of rural growth centers across blocks, so new centers are needed in underserved areas to decentralize services and slow rural-to-urban migration.

This study examines the effect of response reduction factors (R factors) on reinforced concrete (RC) framed structures through nonlinear dynamic analysis. Three RC frame models with varying heights (4, 8, and 12 stories) were analyzed in ETABS software under different R factors ranging from 1 to 5. The results showed that displacement increased as the R factor decreased, indicating less linear behavior for lower R factors. Drift also decreased proportionally with increasing R factors from 1 to 5. Shear forces in the frames decreased with higher R factors. In general, R factors of 3 to 5 produced more satisfactory performance with less displacement and drift. The advantages go beyond sustainability to reach financial support and stability. The work in this paper introduces the hybrid system between PV and EV to support industrial and commercial plants. This paper covers the theoretical framework of the proposed hybrid system including the required equation to complete the cost analysis when PV and EV are present. In addition, the proposed design diagram which sets the priorities and requirements of the system is presented. The proposed approach allows setup to advance their power stability, especially during power outages. The presented information supports researchers and plant owners to complete the necessary analysis while promoting the deployment of clean energy. The result of a case study that represents a dairy milk farmer supports the theoretical works and highlights its advanced benefits to existing plants. The short return on investment of the proposed approach supports the paper's novelty approach for the sustainable electrical system. This paper describes a speed control device for generating electrical energy on an electricity network based on the doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) used for wind power conversion systems. At first, a double-fed induction generator model was constructed. A control law is formulated to govern the flow of energy between the stator of a DFIG and the energy network using three types of controllers: proportional integral (PI), sliding mode controller (SMC) and second order sliding mode controller (SOSMC). Their different results in terms of power reference tracking, reaction to unexpected speed fluctuations, sensitivity to perturbations, and resilience against machine parameter alterations are compared. MATLAB/Simulink was used to conduct the simulations for the preceding study. Multiple simulations have shown very satisfying results, and the investigations demonstrate the efficacy and power-enhancing capabilities of the suggested control system.

Embedded machine learning-based road conditions and driving behavior monitoringIJECEIAES
Car accident rates have increased in recent years, resulting in losses in human lives, properties, and other financial costs. An embedded machine learning-based system is developed to address this critical issue. The system can monitor road conditions, detect driving patterns, and identify aggressive driving behaviors. The system is based on neural networks trained on a comprehensive dataset of driving events, driving styles, and road conditions. The system effectively detects potential risks and helps mitigate the frequency and impact of accidents. The primary goal is to ensure the safety of drivers and vehicles. Collecting data involved gathering information on three key road events: normal street and normal drive, speed bumps, circular yellow speed bumps, and three aggressive driving actions: sudden start, sudden stop, and sudden entry. The gathered data is processed and analyzed using a machine learning system designed for limited power and memory devices. The developed system resulted in 91.9% accuracy, 93.6% precision, and 92% recall. The achieved inference time on an Arduino Nano 33 BLE Sense with a 32-bit CPU running at 64 MHz is 34 ms and requires 2.6 kB peak RAM and 139.9 kB program flash memory, making it suitable for resource-constrained embedded systems.
