Supervisor Role- key
Effective Supervisors are the key to successful IPS services!
Supervisor functions:
- Link to the labour and welfare organization
- Link to the leaders of both organizations
- Organizer/participant of the steering group
- Spokesperson for work-related services in the organizations
- Responsible for quality improvement for IPS services (performance-
based management)
- Co-responsible for implementing IPS and operating the service
- Supervisor of the Job Specialists
- Co-responsible for recruiting new Job Specialists

What does the fidelity scale say regarding the

What does the fidelity scale say regarding the
Supervisor role?
Supervisor:
1. is responsible for no more than 10 employment specialists.
2. conducts weekly supervision
3. communicates with mental health team leaders to ensure that services
are integrated
4. accompanies employment specialists, who are new or having difficulty
with job development in the field
5. reviews current client outcomes with employment specialists and sets
goals to improve program performance at least quarterly.

  • 6. 6 Supervisor Role- key Supervisor Role- key Effective Supervisors are the key to successful IPS services! Supervisor functions: - Link to the labour and welfare organization - Link to the leaders of both organizations - Organizer/participant of the steering group - Spokesperson for work-related services in the organizations - Responsible for quality improvement for IPS services (performance- based management) - Co-responsible for implementing IPS and operating the service - Supervisor of the Job Specialists - Co-responsible for recruiting new Job Specialists
  • 7. 7 What does the fidelity scale say regarding the Supervisor role? What does the fidelity scale say regarding the Supervisor role? Supervisor: 1. is responsible for no more than 10 employment specialists. 2. conducts weekly supervision 3. communicates with mental health team leaders to ensure that services are integrated 4. accompanies employment specialists, who are new or having difficulty with job development in the field 5. reviews current client outcomes with employment specialists and sets goals to improve program performance at least quarterly.

  • 9. 9 Implementing IPS Implementing IPS Outcomes: - people gets jobs! - work becomes a treatment focus in treatment (integrated services) - integration in society and reduction of symptoms - health and labour services are able to work together in other areas However, it takes hard, dedicated and continuous work:-)
