Federalist Paper No. 51, by James Madison
In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies
in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place
oblige it to control itself, are words written by James Madison in The Federalist Papers No. 51. The
Federalist Paper No. 51 is one of several documents that compose the Federalist Papers, a series of
essays written by James Madison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamiltonpromoting the ratification of
the Constitution. In this particular paper, several principles are used as arguments for ratification.
Specifically, a main argument discussed is the means this government would have to self regulate
itself. Following the sentence quoted above is, A dependence... Show more content on

The bill itself seems harmless, but attorneys argued that the bill would make it difficult to
challenge the validity of foreclosure records when reports of improperly foreclosed homes were
increasing. To ensure that the unintended effects of the bill wouldn t harm consumers, President
Obama vetoed it and sent it back to Congress. This is where the system of checks and balances is
used. When the president disagrees with a legislation passed by Congress, he has the right to veto
the bill as the executive branches check and balance against the power of the legislative branch.
President Obama s actions showed how the executive branch can check the legislative branch by
vetoing bills that could potentially harm the public welfare of the nation.
Of course, Congress could have overturned President Obama s veto with a 2/3 vote in both houses.
While the executive branch can veto legislations passed by the legislative branch, the legislative
branch can also check the executive branch by overriding the presidential veto. Ambition must be
made to counteract ambition. The system of checks and balances is one branch counteracting the
influences of another, creating a stalemate as exemplified above. None of the three branches can
exert any source of power over the others without being counterbalanced by the powers of another
branch. For example, President Obama nominated Elena Kagan for the Supreme Court

Great Candies Research Paper
Breathtaking Experience: Qualities of Great Candies
The average american consumes about twenty two pounds of candy each year. That is a lot of
candy. For people to consume so much, there really must be something special in them. The unique
quality of every candy is what makes the candy delicious. Similar qualities can be found in all great
candies. First, candies with nuts make them seem a whole lot more desirable. Crunch has a brilliant
nutty and crunchy taste. The nuts add some flavor to the boring chocolate taste. The nuts also
provide the actual crunch. Another candy with nuts is Snickers. Snickers have peanuts to make its
chocolate bar more flavourful. It becomes a great combination with the added caramel. Lastly,
Payday covers its whole surface with nuts. It is most likely the nuttiest treat out there. Payday mixes
its nuts and caramel in every bite you take. Nuts provide candy with a more stunning taste. ... Show

Skittles are known for their colorful bite size treats. The assorted colors make the candy more
exciting to look at and eat. The colors hint on what flavor you are about to consume. M Ms are
another treat that have color. Most chocolates are the same boring brown, but M Ms are a rare
chocolate candy that has color. They allow the consumer to experience chocolate in a rainbow
delight. Although the colors do not indicate a special flavor, they do create a more enjoyable
experience. Finally, Sour Patch Kids. These are a unique sour and sweet treat with assorted
colors. They also provide different flavors associated with different colors. Thanks to the assorted
colors, Sour Patch Kids can also be a fun color learning tool for small kids. The quality of having

After Fidel Castro overthrew Cuban strongman Fulgencio Batista, expropriated American economic

Should the Canadian Senate be left alone, reformed or abolished?
By: Shakir M. Lakhani SECTION 4
Final Civics Essay

Shakir M. Lakhani
Topic: Senate Reform
Do you feel your government is fair? Does it manage the issues properly, with careful thought,
and an open, objective mind? Is it effective? Do you feel that the Senate is a sober chamber of
second thought? Do you feel that the best interests of the Canadian public are always preserved in
the current model of our governance? If so, you re mistaken. Under our present governance, we
have two houses, the House of Commons, and the Senate, the reform to the latter being the main
topic of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In terms of the reform option, as a country, we absolutely cannot afford to abolish the Senate, as
it serves as, and is meant to be, a body of un biased economic and social Г©lite , who are capable
of making/approving decisions to benefit the citizens of Canada, rather than the House of
Commons, which makes decisions by majority, and in their own interest. The Senate is meant to
play a neutral role, to be the final judge to make the un biased, informed decisions. Sometimes, the
Senate has taken on other roles, which it performs and works with very effectively. In fairness to
them, these often do not receive much media coverage, increasing the public perception that
Senators do very little. For example, the Senate Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Science, and
Tech released a report on the Health Care system, a month before the Romanow Report on Human
Health Resources Planning.
They have also researched issues such as poverty in Canada, and legalizing Marijuana.
No matter which angle one looks at this from, the effective existence of the Senate is necessary to
stabilize the government, as it is near to impossible to have an ideal House of Commons, as
confirmed by an English political journalist Walter Bagehot.
He wrote about the British parliamentary System (which our system is based off), and was quoted
saying, If we had an ideal House of Commons...

How Did The Great Leap Forward Have An Impact On Chinese...
The Communist fervor that gripped mainland China under Mao Zedong s rule had lasting effects
on the economy and culture. In particular, the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution
devastated rural and peasant populations, leading to fatal consequences for a large portion of the
chinese demographic. The Great Leap Forwardwas an attempt at socializing the chinese economy
almost ten years after the People s Republic of Chinawas established in 1949. Property and
businesses were stripped from private owners by the government and given to community leaders to
run with the help of community members. Unfortunately, revolutionary passion blinded community
leaders and the government. The former over reported food production while the latter continued to
support a failing economic structure and policy. This lead to the Great Chinese Famine, and a
decline in economic productivity and revolutionary zeal. The Great Cultural Revolutionwas meant
to reinvigorate the revolutionary spirit. Launched several years after the failure of the Great Leap
Forward, the Cultural Revolution targeted the youth. A successful propaganda campaign mobilized
groups of mostly disadvantaged youth (red guards) and the working class to purge those antithetical
to the movement. Millions were killed in the resulting class warfare which targeted capitalists,
rightists, and landlords. The effects of these influential events are still explored in modern chinese
cinema many years after their occurrence. An

Reality Vs. Illusion
For those in love with an illusion often refuse to accept the reality by Sanal Edamaruku. Illusions
make the reality almost impossible to see, the theme of illusion vs. reality occurs many times in
Fitzgerald s novel. In the novel, The Great Gatsby, by F. Scott Fitzgerald, the reader observes many
of the characters living in an illusionary world, however, through one character, the reader can
discern authenticity.
Throughout the novel, the reader perceive Jay Gatsby, as a main and one of the many characters,
who are living in an imaginary world, far away from the the reality. Gatsby, who could not even

and stay honest and true to himself. He is surrounded by all the riches and still he does not
relinquish his veracity, in attempt to become affluent. Nick says, I am one of few honest people
I have ever known, (Fitzgerald 59), the reader observes Nick as one of the most honest person
throughout the novel. At the end of the novel, the reader visually perceives how Nick leaves the
East after Gatsby s death, Nick states After Gatsby s death, East was hunted for me, ( Fitzgerald

dark place, full of evil and corruption, where happiness does not exist unless one is living in an
illusionary world. All people want is success without caring how to get that money and success.

Vera Barantsov s Disillusionment In Russia
During the 1860 s and 1870 s Russia had a growing underground movement of young, intelligent
people growing discontent with the social and political disadvantages that the country was going
through. Many in the government, especially the Tsar Alexander II was trying to curve
revolutionary sentiment by reforming the government and introducing new measures to improve
Russian society. To many young Russians that grew disaffected they saw the reforms as being to
little too late and that further radical action was needed. The writings of the Nihilist Girl show a
profound disillusionment in young people during the reign of Alexander II and his reforms that also
affected high class society. This disillusionment would manifest itself in young people... Show more

The Russians that felt disaffected in their lives began to see this revolution taking shape as
something that they could join and find meaning in their lives. Her ignorance of the real
conditions of life was so great that in her imagination the nihilist were some thing like a well
organized secret society working according to a definite plan to achieve clearly articulated goals.
She had no doubt that once she arrived to St. Petersburg, that cradle of nihilist agitation, she
would immediately enlisted into the great underground army and take up a specific post in it,
however modest it might be. The imagination that Vera and many others had about the revolution
and the cause were those of people trying to find meaning in their life and do something
productive to help the cause or whatever that may be. This goes to show the far reaching effect
many in Russian society felt. There are many people during this time especially young Russians
that don t see themselves part of this society due to the wrongs they see in society or bitterness
they feel in their hearts. There seems to be a great disconnect with the old generation of people
that grew up with old values and when new ones are introduced and they feel dull inside because
they have no purpose or it s been taken out of them. These young people feel dissatisfied and they

Ethical Issues In Gun Control

The Revolving Dilemma of Ethics in Gun Control
The topic of gun control laws has risen to become one of the most controversial ethical issues of
the twenty first century in the United States of America. The US is world leading in terms of gun
ownership, according to a 2012 Congressional Research Service report, per 100 residents there are
112.6, meaning there is more than one gun for each American citizen (Krouse). This means that
there are more guns in the US than in any other country, with over double and even triple what the
next closest countries have. There are two perspectives to this ethical issue, those for and against
stricter government gun control laws. Activists who support stricter ... Show more content on

The first facet of ethical significance is that gun control threatens to take away citizens rights to
bear arms which was provided in the Second Amendment of the US Constitution, discriminating
against those with mental illness, diminishing our ability for self defense and taking away
culturally accepted ethical and moral standards. The Second Amendment, according to the Cornell
Law definition, reads: A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the
right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed (Cornell Law). Because the
majority believe they have the right to gun ownership, taking away this deemed right by tightening
gun control laws may be deemed unethical as it is rescinding a right that has been held as an

Stanley Milgram s In The Perils Of Obedience
According to the Oxford dictionary Obedience is defined as a compliance with an order, request,
or law or submission to another s authority. In many situations authority demonstrates the ability
to control man to go against their beliefs in what is morally right. Due to fear and the insecurities
of man, authority may push the limits of society to a point where the individual may temporarily
give up their identity. This is proven by The Stanford Prison experiment The combination of
realism and symbolism in this experiment had fused to create a vivid illusion of imprisonment.
The illusion merged inextricably with reality for at least some of the time for every individual in
the situation. It was remarkable how readily we all slipped into our roles, temporarily gave up our
identities, and allowed these assigned roles and social forces in the situation to guide, shape, and

The Establishment Of The European Union ( Eu )
How significant has been the development of the EU s policies concerning the protection of the
natural environmental and climate change? What problems have confronted policy makers in
framing and delivering such policies?
Introduction
The establishment of the European Union (EU) enabled them to handle transnational activities
among the member states, including environmental policy. Its significance situates within its
powers which can manage any other organisations among the member states by virtue of the laws
within the European Union (Baker, 1996, p.215). As a result, it is broadly perceived that there is an
increasing impact from the EU on policy making in the member states. This tendency is particularly
recognised in environmental policy makings, because national standards in law needed to be
questioned and harmonised and policy developments at the European level influences the national
aims, content and settings of environmental policy within the member states (Heinelt et al., 2001).
The area of environmental policy was not established until the first Environmental Action
Programme in 1973 as the major aim for the European Economic Community s agenda was to build
a common institutional framework for mostly economic issues (Jorgensen, 2012). In the next
decades, the development of the area of environmental policy making was accelerated by the the
Single European Act and by the support from the public who tends to have an increasing concern
towards environmental

French Revolution Constitutional Church
Immediately, a proposal was made to halt the taking of solemn vows. This development associated
the Church with the scheming and corruption that had been featured in anticlerical literature of the

departure of their inhabitants. The Assembly hoped that the sale of monasteries and their contents
would help to stabilize the nation s finances. Thousands of letters of protest met the

for the destruction of anything associated with the ancien rГ©gime. Thus, the Assembly suppressed
all remaining religious orders, even those staffing schools and hospitals, and ordered that the

The Doctrine Of Utilitarianism Essays
The Doctrine of Utilitarianism Utilitarianism is a doctrine that revolves around two concepts:
happiness and consequentialism. It follows the Greatest Happiness Principle which is, The
creed which accepts as the foundation of morals, Utility, or the Greatest Happiness Principle,
holds that actions are right in proportion as they tend to promote happiness, wrong as they tend
to produce the reverse of happiness (Mill 239). Utilitarianists most vast idea is creating the
greatest happiness for the greatest number of people and to end pain and suffering with this
principle by using Utilitarian Calculus. In Utilitarian Calculus, one would analyze the situation
and as long as the action has a greater positive effect (more happiness) overall than a negative
effect (pain and suffering) then the act is moral. Singer had many arguments when it comes to
animal rights and speciesism. Singer defines speciesists as individuals who give greater weight
to the interests of members of their own species when there is a clash between their interests and
the interests of those of other species. Human speciesists do not accept that pain is as bad when
it is felt by pigs or mice as when it is felt by humans (Singer Equality). Singer s main point when
explaining animal rights is that equality does not require equal rights. Singer believes it is
unrealistic and irrational to compare a dying mouse to a dying person because they do not have
equal rights and situations in life. He states, It

The Big Short Is A Financial Crisis Movie Directed By...
The big short is a financial crisis movie directed by Adam McKay and released in 2015. It bases
on a truth story that some smart investors bet against the United State mortgage market in 2006 to
2008. Michael Burry, an eccentric hedge fund manager, discovered with his own research that the
United State housing market was a bubble about to burst within in a couple years. He started to bet
against the United State mortgagebacked securities market by convincing some large banks to
create a credit default swapmarket, which was kind of a bond insurance police, and he invested
about $1,3 billion in the credit default swap market. If he was right about the market collapse, his
fund would bust up very high and make a hug profit. On the other hand, his fund would be gone if
the market stay stable.
Through Michael Burry s idea and action, the banker Jared Vennett who worked at Deutschebank
quickly learned and understood that Burry s predictions was likely true, and he made himself an
opportunity of earning fees on selling those credit default swap to the firms, which the firms could
earn profit when the underlying mortgage bonds fail. He came to Mark Baum office and tried to
convince him to buy credit default swaps. His explanation about the market collapse would being
more perpetuated by the packaging of subprime loans into collateralized debt obligations (CDOs).

housing market. He first

challenges that Peekay overcomes. Showing the Judge that he will not cry takes guts and

Software Testing For Software Development Lifecycle
Abstract At the end of 20th century software industry started booming. From then, not only it has
never looked back, but it s continuously growing at a very high rate. Customers always prefer
quality software products and hence software quality is at the heart of any successful business that
develops software. Software testingenables once to quantify the software quality and hence testing
has become an integral and very important part of the software development life cycle. There s this
saying that humans make mistakes all the time which should enough to conclude that the software
developed by humans needs to be tested of bugs and intended functionality to ensure a high quality
product and hence Software Testing plays an important role... Show more content on

A software tester s job is to attempt to break the system in every possible way so that all faults
will be detected, which will therefore increase the likelihood of delivering fault free software to the
customer.
This coursework familiarizes students with software testing tools and techniques such as unit
testing frameworks, Design of Experiments, Regression Testing, Code Coverage analysis, Static
code analysis and reliability testing.
II.PROBLEM STATEMENT
To provide an overview of the various tools and techniques available for software testing, the
coursework comprised of five assignments. Each assignment was to study, how to use an existing
testing tool or technique to aid the process of verification and validation of the software.
The first assignment was based on Software Unit Testing Framework. To ease the process of
writing tests most of the programming languages have their unit testing frameworks. For instance
Junit, a go to the unit testing framework for Java, allows developers to write repeatable tests in
Java. Junit is by far the most famous Unit testing framework and has become de facto standard
format. Moreover it has been an inspiration for other relatively new programming languages such as
PyUnit for Python. The unit testing frameworks

An Analysis Of Katherine Anne Porter s The Grave
An intriguing setting is crucial to a successful story. When a book or story does not have a
proper setting the reader is going to be uninterested and unimpressed. Usually when a reader is
uninterested or unimpressed with the reading, they will put in down and not finishing reading.
The goal of any writer should be to make the reader visually picture their story or book. When a
reader can visualize the story, they tend to be entertained with the reading and finish to the end.
Writers have to bring the book to life with the details of the surrounding atmosphere. The reader
wants to be able to see the green pasture or taste the homemade apple pie just from the description.
I enjoy reading and I will not finish reading a storyif the setting is not detailed. One more
important aspect of a great story is symbolism. As a reader, I m always searching to find a deeper
meaning. The Grave by Katherine Anne Porter, she does a stellar job at bringing the reader in and
making them feel as if they were apart of the story. Even though, every story or book has a setting,
characters, and symbolism, it needs to be great setting, relatable characters, and deep symbolism for
the reader to interpret and also captured the immediate attention of the reader.
When thinking of a gravesite or cemetery most people s minds automatically think dark, haunted
and scary. A cemetery does not have a reputation of being very fun to go to, it will always have a
gloomy or scary reputation. The description of

Authoritarian Styles Of Parenting Styles
Tyler who s now 5 was told to pick up his toys before dinner, he has not done so and is throwing a
tantrum because he said it too much work.
An Authoritarian style parent would yell at Tyler making him pick up the toys by himself. If Tyler
persisted his tantrum a spanking would ensue and Tyler would still have to pick up the toys.
Grounding would be the next step with more yelling for not doing what he told when he is told to
do so. Authoritarian style parents believe in bending the will of the child to that of the authority that
including church, teacher, or parent. An example of an authoritarian parent is a military family,
because of the external standard set by the military on the parent serving they often bring that same
structure and discipline home with them by setting the same or similar standards at home.
An Authoritative style parent would listen to Tyler when he says cleaning up his toys is too hard.

An authoritative parent operates on the belief that both the child and the parent have certain rights
and that the needs of both are important. The parent is sure that she is in control and doesn t need

they must be followed .

Hydrogen Power and Energy
Most of the energy we produce causes waste and pollution. Water allows us to cut some of this out
of the equation. In 1874, a French author named Jules Verne wrote that hydrogen has the potential
to be our next fuel source long before its potential was even discovered. And above all else, its
abundant! Not only is the earth covered in 70% of water, but 90% of all matter contains hydrogen
in it. Hydrogen itself produces miniscule amounts of pollution when burned. The problem that
stands is that hydrogen is only found as a compound, and not by itself. Water contains a good
amount of hydrogen, but also contains oxygen. However, we can extract the hydrogen atoms
through a process called electrolysis. Electrolysis separates the hydrogen atoms from the oxygen
atom to create HHO gas.
The problem with this however is that electrolysis requires electricity to decompose the compound.
The more current that is passed through the water the more chemical change it will undergo.
Electrolysis is carried out in an electrolytic cell which don t contain a membrane. These cells
contains two electrodes which separates the oxygen and the hydrogen.
Now when most people think of converting water into energy, they usually think of water powered
cars. Even though this is not entirely what electrolysis does, it isnt too far off. Fuel cell technology,
even though it is still being developed, works with electrolysis to make this possible. An obstacle
with making fuel cell technology possible is

The Understanding Of Reading Comprehension
Abstract Reading is the process of constructing meaning through the self motivated interaction
among the reader s knowledge and the material proposed by the written language and the context
of the reading situation. The understanding of reading comprehension is to teach reading to
students acquire reading skills to become independent learners. The strategies of teaching will be
used to help students achieve their reading goals. In areas such as mathematics, developing teacher
content knowledge has been a major concern because it is generally accepted that teachers who
know these subjects are better able to teach them. As teachers, we need to research strategies that
can be used to teach students how to read in every content area. Our focus in this literature review
will be on mathematics and how teachers can find different strategies and activities to use to help
students learn to read and also to use prior knowledge as they implement these strategies.
Keywords: Knowledge Content, comprehension, mathematics Introduction Reading is a natural life
skill, and students must be able to read in order to function in society. Even in our everyday
responsibilities such as working, grocery shopping, driving, banking, and reading the newspaper,
we are required to do some sort of reading. One of the ways in which teachers can help students
improve their reading skills is through strategy instruction (Duke Pearson, 2002). Strategy

Negative Consequences Of Odysseus s Journey
Homer s The Odyssey is an epic tale that delves us into the world of Odysseus, a hero of the
Trojan war who must make his way home from battle. Throughout his journey, he encounters
countless gods, creatures and catastrophes that hinder his progress. Many of these events depicted
in the story have gone on to become modern day metaphors for human conflicts, as readers begin to
draw parallels between their lives and the struggles Odysseusencounters while on his journey. As a
reader of the Odyssey, I began to realize that I could often relate to Odysseus problems, despite not
being a Greek war hero countless miles away from their homeland. Perhaps the best example of
this is when Odysseus is confronted with a decision in which he cannot win; whatever the choice he
makes, it will have negative consequences. Recently, I have experienced a situation similar to this
in nature, in which no matter what I decided, I would face negative consequences.
The event that I am referring to in the Odyssey is when Odysseus must choose between an
immortal monster by the name of Scylla that will kill six of Odysseus men and the whirlpool
Charybdis that is almost certain to destroy the entire ship. Before he actually encounters these two
mythical beings, he is warned of them by the goddess Circe who suggests, No, hug Scylla s crag
sail on past her top speed! / Better by far to lose six men and keep your ship / than lose your entire
crew (12.119 121). In other words, she suggests that he is

Signs and Symptoms
The signs and symptoms of ALL can present chronically or acutely, they are normally found during
a routine blood count of an asymptomatic child or during a life threatening hemorrhage, infection,
or episode of respiratory distress. Although ALL is a disease primarily of the bone marrow and
peripheral blood, any organ or tissue may be infiltrated by the abnormal cells. The symptoms in
children can have a much longer duration due to ALL has varies amounts of onset which may last
from days to months.
The first symptoms are usually non specific and include anorexia, irritability and lethargy. Fever is

Patients with ALL generally have a higher than normal white blood count and lower than normal
red blood cell and platelet counts. Blood tests are also performed to evaluate liver, kidney, and
blood clotting status. The physician will also check the levels of certain minerals and proteins
for an accurate diagnosis. The next step will be to perform a bone marrow biopsy, pending the
blood test results. If the results are abnormal or the doctor suspects leukemia despite normal cell
counts, a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy are the next steps. These are very common and
safe procedures. Then, if bone marrow examination confirms ALL, a spinal tap will be the next
step, which means a needle will be inserted into the spinal canal and cerebrospinal fluid with
leukemia cells will be collected and will be analyzed for signs that the disease has spread to the
central nervous system. In most cases of childhood ALL, leukemia cells are not found in the
cerebrospinal fluid.
Disease Progression
There are two main types of ALL acute and chronic. Acute leukemia develops very quickly, while
chronic leukemia tends to develop slowly, usually over a period of months or years without
causing many symptoms. In ALL it mainly affects the lymphoid cells, as to in the chronic
lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) state, it affects the lymphoid cells. For ALL, staging does not occur in
the same way normal cancer cells do because the disease originates

Competitive Intensity And Government Regulations
Firm s international experience, that is, the number of years a firm has been operating in the
international markets plays a vital role to determine the pricing process followed by the firm
(Katsikeas and Morgan, 1994). They found out that for less experienced firms, pricing issue
creates less problem, whereas more experienced firms perceive pricingto be a difficult issue,
although both type of firms consider pricing very important for making exportdecision.
Cavusgil and Zou (1994) considered two aspects of industry characteristics competitive intensity
and government regulations. The result of their study perceives a positive relation between
technology orientation of the industry and export price competitiveness. A market is characterized
by the competition among local and international suppliers, the threat of new entrants and the
bargaining power of customers (Obadia, 2013). The author concludes that for certain aspects of
exporting, specifically, volume discount, credit term, and special circumstances for new product
launch, exporter manipulate export prices to cope with competitive intensity and favor the
importers, although they do not manipulate the price with fluctuating exchange rates. Other studies
established the relation between technology and standardization. The higher the frequency of
technological changes associated with an industry, the more likely the firms to use standardized
products (Samiee and Roth, 1992). This is in line of the argument that in

This is where you analyze the evaluation results and see how the students did. If many of the
students did not pass the way, the teacher wanted them to then the teacher must take the time to
modify the activity even more so that it will suite the students better. This model is extremely
important when the teacher is trying to figure out their students. It helps the teachers have a plan
for the class so they aren t stuck when it comes time to teach. For teachers to teach this class they
are going to have to develop other skills then their basic physical education teacher. There are six
standards for an APE teacher. These standards include human development, motor behavior,
exercise science, curriculum development, teaching, and communication. Human development is
the basic understanding of how skills develop and progress and how they apply to those with
disabilities. This is important to know due to the fact there are both disabled and non disabled
students in this class. The Motor behavior standard, is having the knowledge to monitor how motor
skills develop and being able to keep in mind the influence of development delay for those that are
disabled. This also goes along with the next standard which is curriculum development. This is the
understanding of how each student has a different goal depending on their disability. Teachers must

A Visit To A Restaurant
While it may seem a little strange that I have never been to an authentic Mexican restaurant in
my life, there is a perfectly good reason why. Chipotle and On The Border, two restaurants on the
list as frequently visited for me just are simply just Americanized Mexican restaurants and
definitely do not qualify as places that stay true to the Mexican culture. Therefore, for this
global experience, I decided to make a visit to an authentic Mexican restaurant named Taqueria
Marias and it honestly was worth the wait. Deciding to share this experience, I took two of my
friends along with me and we shared a lunch at the small restaurant. Almost immediately after
entering we noticed that the restaurant was incredibly lively, the tables were full, everyone was
talking and laughing loudly, and the waiters never stopped smiling as they ran from table to
table at breakneck speed. The energy was amazing, unlike any other restaurant I have ever been
to which is really saying something. Once we got seated, we ordered a guacamole and chips along
with a rice and beans for the table and I ordered a vegetarian El Mixteco Burrito for myself. The
foodshowed up in record time despite there being a ton of people and it was nothing short of
delicious. Additionally, it was quite interesting to see that the waiters were having conversations
with guests at almost every table and even the chef came out to greet everyone and ask about the
food. It was a very interactive opportunity.

Cons And Disadvantages Of Social Media
Social Media Social media are technologies or networks that allow people, nowadays, to share
informations and connect with each other. There are different types of social media, but the most
used are Facebook, YouTube, Gmail, Yahoo, Twitter, WhatsApp, etc. With the advancement in
technology, today these social mediaare an everyday part of life in most part of the world. They are
used for different reason and the outcome is always different. Because everything has both
advantages and disadvantages or inconveniences, social media too affect the user in both
positives and negatives ways. Like it is stated above, social media can be used for
communication. The new technologies have made it easier to connect the world in just a
glimpse. With a network like WhatsApp or Facebook, a person here in the United States is able
to talk and see at the same time his friends and family members who are in different part of the
world. Social media are another way to make friends too. For instance, if a person is too shy or
just too quiet to speak, social media can help that person have friends and communicate with them.
In other words, technology and social media work together to link the world. Other than connecting
people, social media can also be used for advertising. Today, about all businesses market their
products through advertisements. If not for the advertisements, nearly every businesses would not
be able to sell their latest products. People learn about their country or other countries in the world
through news, which are given through social media like YouTubechannel. They also can learn
about new products or weather conditions in their areas; they are able now to learn about
everything that is happening either where they live or in other places. Social media are sources of
publicity of new products; they help people stay informed about everything. Just as they have
advantages, social media also have disadvantages such as being addictive. They evolves together
with new technologies and renders people, especially young people, lazy and sometimes lonely. Dr.

Using Facial Recognition Is An Invasion Of Privacy
Many people are raising the question whether using facial recognition is an invasion of privacy.
The leveraging of smart phones, tablets or a computers built in cameras, facial recognition

According to Dave Aitel There s no real way to conceal this data from the world . Another
problem with the use of biometrics is one of the most important one, one a person s biometrics
have been compromised, and they will always be compromised . (Aitel, 2013) Take the popular

2015) If today if your account were to get hacked, you would just change the password. If were
to use biometrics, you would be stuck with the same hacked biometric password for the rest of

Better Business Bureau Research Paper
For many years I had very high standards and respect for the Better Business Bureau. When many
people used the words Better Business Bureau it was a safe guard for many consumer interest and
helped resolve their grievances against erring companies. When the adult reader looks at Better
Business Bureau logo it states Start With Trust . And it is the word trust that stays in many
consumers mind. I really think that Better BusinessBureau sometimes caters to the paying
customers only. For example, if I have a company X I pay a membership fee to the BBB to be on
their list and keep up my rating. Which means if someone like yourself goes to the BBB website
and see how I handle my complaints and keep up my rating; it tells the customer

Building A Resort On Great Lake
Goals and Communication Objectives: The goal of this project is to obtain city approval to
build a resort on Great Lake, located in Great Lake City, Wisconsin. The project will bring in a
large annual revenue and also create jobs for the city, unfortunately the project will effect a rare
waterfowls habitat who lives in a slough on the lake. In order to obtain city approval Great
Northern will have to address the residents and solve the issue of possibly enraged
environmentalists about building the resort. Great Northern will communicate to the residents with
three objectives in mind. First, to create awareness that the land has been sold to them to at least
70% of residents. Second, to create a positive company image to the more than half of the residents
within one to two months. Last, to change the attitude of those who are against construction
because it could hurt the waterfowl and sway people beliefs that the resort will be beneficial to
Great Lake Cities economy.
Key Publics: The primary figures that Great Northern will be concerned with while trying to win
approval for the resort is the 5 member zoning commission and the separate 9 member city council.
These organizations will be the main source Great Northern needs in order to gain approval, and it
is ultimately their decision. Although, both groups will most likely want to hear public input on the
project. This makes environmental groups a secondary public that Great Northern will need to win
over as they are

The Industries Experiment On The Planet
The Industries Experiment on the Planet
Data was collected in several locations: a natural forest, a clear cut, and a plantation. Within these
spaces, the five bodily senses sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste helped to identify how each
location felt overall. In addition to the raw data collected, further analysis was undertaken using
information obtained in class. Ideas within the course were applied to the three locations, and an
analysis of the course content was applied to everyday problems concerning environmental issues
that stem from greenhouse gas emissions caused by mega industries. The world s largest and most
polluting industries are playing a dangerous game, lining their pockets at the expense of the planet

Greed is the main driving force behind industries that profit from deforestation, damage to the
natural world and climate are the collateral damage. The clear cut area lacked both fauna and
flora. In the distance, the chirping of birds could be heard, but it was quite faint. The smell of
trees and fresh dirt lingered slightly; it was dry on the ground, and the area felt as though it was
barely hanging on to any semblance of its former life. There was a great feeling of emptiness and
sadness. The point of herbicides is to kill off the broad leaf trees, so that the needle trees would not
be required to fight for space and survival. (Davies, 2016)
Plantation UNB Woodlot The plantation was difficult to spot amongst the many other trees. A
search throughout a thin trail system was needed in order to locate one. Whilst stepping into the
plantation, there was a great probability of overlooking it as simply another section of natural
forest. Although there were many trees that resembled one another, it was surrounded by
natural forest, so it blended in. The three ways to tell that an area has been converted into a
plantation are: (a) if the trees are quite evenly spaced, (b) if there are more of one species of tree
than others, and (c) if there are no broadleaf trees or they are sparse and very small. One could
hear the sounds of birds chirping and woodpeckers nearby, and the smell was strong of pine, as it
was a pine plantation. The general

Strengths-Based Practices
Introduction At the point when a person s mental wellbeing is tested, holding on to hope and self
conviction can be exceptionally troublesome. Care scaffold around strength and recovery approach
is crucial, and this is the theme for this essay. This paper examines the part of strengths in recovery
and strengths based practice. Strengths based practice is a paradigm shift in mental health and has

I practiced competency 3.1 (establishes, maintains and concludes therapeutic inter personal
relationships with client) and 3.2 (Practices nursing in a negotiated partnership with the client
where and when possible) by introducing myself to Mrs Brown, gaining informed consent with the
help of my WINTEC preceptor and maintaining her privacy by using pseudonyms throughout the
essay. I involved the careful use of therapeutic communication by maintaining an open dialogue to
help Mrs Brown overcome stress and adjust to unalterable. By using therapeutic communication
skills I helped clearly identify Mrs Brown s triggers to challenging behaviours and helped distract
her from agitation and anxiety. From the moment I met Mrs Brown we clicked immediately. Our
love for travel became the mutual topic of conversation building a relationship of trust and
friendship maintaining therapeutic relationship. I reflected upon my own feelings and beliefs to
develop self awareness (Dogra, Parkin, Gale, Frake, 2009: Webb, 2011). To structure and guide my
interactions I used the principles of communication AIDET (Acknowledge Introduce Duration

Analysis Of The Jungle By Upton Sinclair
The Jungle by Upton Sinclair
In the book The Jungle , Upton Sinclair writes about the life of a young couple and their family,
Jurgis Rudkus and Ona Lukoszaite having to move to America after Ona s father passed away
which left them with little money, Jurgis decided to move his and Ona s family to Chicago from
Lithuania to pursue the American dream. Soon after, they learned that their idea of an American
dream was not what they had pictured to be. The story entails the unlucky events that the family
goes through and the unexpected outcome of it all.
The story opens up with Jurgis and Ona at their wedding feast in an area of Chicago known as
Packingtown, Chicago s meatpacking district. The place is filled with music, food, and drinks.
Guests are invited from the streets to come join in on the celebration. Ona starts to get worried
because after their veselija, or what we know it as a wedding feast, she noticed people were leaving
without contributing money to the newlyweds as Lithuanian tradition follows. Some people snuck
away and some people left without any shame knowing that they took advantage of the family,
freeloading from the food and beer that was provided. Trying to free Ona of her worries of how
they will pay back the saloonkeeper, Jurgis assured her, I will earn more money I will work harder.
Vowing that he will work harder and earn more money to pay back the debt of their wedding.
Jurgis ends up finding a job fairly quickly at a meatpacking company and it s not the best but he s
content because he s bringing in money and so does the rest of the family, Jonas, the brother of
Ona s stepmother, Teta Elzbieta and as do Marija Berczynskas, Ona s cousin. At this point, Jurgis
positive about his future in the Americas, and denies Teta, Ona, and the younger children to work.
They ve decided that they needed to move on up in the world and find a house since they now make
enough money, the family signs an agreement to purchase a house but finds out that it is a rented
house. Adding onto this swindle, they had an interest rate to pay including the rent which resulted

Joan Of Arc Monologue
As I walked among the frozen souls, the silence that surrounded them was deafening. My guide,
Joan of Arc fell silent for once in her life, for it was her inspiring words that led to victories for
France in the Hundred Years War. Though now honored among the archangels, Joan chose to lead
souls through the depths of the Inferno to reach Paradiso and continue her life s work to inspire
others. And now she lead me through the 9th circle of hell, into the farthest edges of the cavern
where I could no longer seeing front of me. Before I could turn to Joan and ask her where we were
going, she shoved me from behind and I plunged headfirst, falling down, down, into the darkness,
eventually landing at the bottom of a pit. Silence, and then, Joan materialized... Show more content

Who lies on the other sides? I asked. Those are the priests who defiled the name of God replied
Joan. Those who raped those who they taught and took funds from the poor for their own selfish
greed, who turned away the starving and yet adorned their churches in gold. They are eternally
frozen, naked and ashamed, and constantly taunted by Belial, the demon of guilt. Their regret
overwhelms them and eats them alive literally. But no matter. and my Guide grabbed my hand
and brought me to the doors of the cathedral, where the heat was almost unbearable. Inside?! I
asked, with a surprise as she flung open the doors with a wave of her hand. Inside, fires raged
with even more passion and I saw, to my surprise, thousands upon thousands of pyres, and damned
souls tied to stakes above them, naked and beaten to almost beyond recognition. But what truly
struck me was the noise there had been such silence for so long, and now, the cries of anguish and
pain nearly broke my heart. I turned away, and Joan led me to a twisting staircase, and we began
climbing and climbing, up and up the spire.

A Brief Note On The Twisted Pair Cables
2.3.3 Twisted Pair
There are two types of Twisted Pair Cables, Shielded Twisted Pair (STP), and Unshielded
Twisted Pair (UTP). Shielded Twisted Pair Cables have a very thin wire mesh that shield and
protect the transmission. STP cables are used for the older phone networks, as well as data and
network communications which are clearer and have less interference with the outside. Whereas
Unshielded Twisted Pair Cables have no wire mesh and are therefore not protecting the
transmission in the wiring. UTPs are mainly used for Local Area Networks (LAN) as well as
telephone connections, however these are more vulnerable than STPs (Shielded Twisted Pair).
3. Backing Storage
3.1 Types 3.1.1 Disks
You can back up your storage on a separate Hard Disk and on other forms of Disks such as a
Floppy Disk. Using another Hard Disk to back up your storage is useful because it means that
you can back up everything that is stored on the Hard Disk you want to back up. However it all
depends on the size of Hard Disk you get. If it s much smaller than your current Disk, then you
will only be able to back up the more important stuff that is stored on the Disk. Whereas if you
got a Hard Disk that is bigger than your current Disk, then you will have room to back up the whole
Disk, as well as add extras when you need to back up more recent data.
3.1.2 Pen Drives
Pen drives can be used to back up data by putting them into the USB port of the device you wish to

Improvements As A Writer And Thinker
Improvements as a Writer and Thinker Reflecting as a writer and thinker I have noticed
tremendous improvements in my work. My whole thought process and way of viewing topics has
changed, giving me a better understanding when I write. In the beginning of the term I ran into
many problems in College Writing I for instance, I was not too familiar with writingin MLA format
and struggled reaching the page count. I found myself to procrastinate when papers were assigned
making my anxiety levels increase. Despite my struggles as a writer and thinker, I learned how to
overcome these obstacles. I learned to be open minded and looking at topics from another
perspective. In the beginning of the term I was assigned an essaythat described me as a writer and
thinker. With this essay being my first assignment, I was quite stressed with the feeling of failure.
After this assignment I learned the importance of the drafting system. After my paper was graded
I received it back and noticed multiple mistakes. This was the first step I practiced improving.
Writing multiple drafts helped me analysis the material I wrote from another point of view. For
example, I was able to eliminate sections that were unrelated from the main point. Building my
vocabulary up another step I had focus as a writer and thinker. I used a combination between the
dictionary and thesaurus to help me increase my vocabulary. Overtime with experience, I saw
improvements in all of these categories that I was struggling

  • 2. Federalist Paper No. 51, by James Madison In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty lies in this: you must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place oblige it to control itself, are words written by James Madison in The Federalist Papers No. 51. The Federalist Paper No. 51 is one of several documents that compose the Federalist Papers, a series of essays written by James Madison, John Jay, and Alexander Hamiltonpromoting the ratification of the Constitution. In this particular paper, several principles are used as arguments for ratification. Specifically, a main argument discussed is the means this government would have to self regulate itself. The bill itself seems harmless, but attorneys argued that the bill would make it difficult to challenge the validity of foreclosure records when reports of improperly foreclosed homes were increasing. To ensure that the unintended effects of the bill wouldn t harm consumers, President Obama vetoed it and sent it back to Congress. This is where the system of checks and balances is used. When the president disagrees with a legislation passed by Congress, he has the right to veto the bill as the executive branches check and balance against the power of the legislative branch. President Obama s actions showed how the executive branch can check the legislative branch by vetoing bills that could potentially harm the public welfare of the nation. Of course, Congress could have overturned President Obama s veto with a 2/3 vote in both houses. While the executive branch can veto legislations passed by the legislative branch, the legislative branch can also check the executive branch by overriding the presidential veto. Ambition must be made to counteract ambition. The system of checks and balances is one branch counteracting the influences of another, creating a stalemate as exemplified above. None of the three branches can exert any source of power over the others without being counterbalanced by the powers of another branch. For example, President Obama nominated Elena Kagan for the Supreme Court ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Lakhani SECTION 4 Final Civics Essay June 6th, 2011 Shakir M. Lakhani Topic: Senate Reform Do you feel your government is fair? Does it manage the issues properly, with careful thought, and an open, objective mind? Is it effective? Do you feel that the Senate is a sober chamber of second thought? Do you feel that the best interests of the Canadian public are always preserved in the current model of our governance? If so, you re mistaken. In terms of the reform option, as a country, we absolutely cannot afford to abolish the Senate, as it serves as, and is meant to be, a body of un biased economic and social Г©lite , who are capable of making/approving decisions to benefit the citizens of Canada, rather than the House of Commons, which makes decisions by majority, and in their own interest. The Senate is meant to play a neutral role, to be the final judge to make the un biased, informed decisions. Sometimes, the Senate has taken on other roles, which it performs and works with very effectively. In fairness to them, these often do not receive much media coverage, increasing the public perception that Senators do very little. For example, the Senate Standing Committee on Social Affairs, Science, and Tech released a report on the Health Care system, a month before the Romanow Report on Human Health Resources Planning. They have also researched issues such as poverty in Canada, and legalizing Marijuana. No matter which angle one looks at this from, the effective existence of the Senate is necessary to stabilize the government, as it is near to impossible to have an ideal House of Commons, as confirmed by an English political journalist Walter Bagehot. He wrote about the British parliamentary System (which our system is based off), and was quoted saying, If we had an ideal House of Commons... ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 6. How Did The Great Leap Forward Have An Impact On Chinese... The Communist fervor that gripped mainland China under Mao Zedong s rule had lasting effects on the economy and culture. In particular, the Great Leap Forward and the Cultural Revolution devastated rural and peasant populations, leading to fatal consequences for a large portion of the chinese demographic. The Great Leap Forwardwas an attempt at socializing the chinese economy almost ten years after the People s Republic of Chinawas established in 1949. Property and businesses were stripped from private owners by the government and given to community leaders to run with the help of community members. Unfortunately, revolutionary passion blinded community leaders and the government. The former over reported food production while the latter continued to support a failing economic structure and policy. This lead to the Great Chinese Famine, and a decline in economic productivity and revolutionary zeal. The Great Cultural Revolutionwas meant to reinvigorate the revolutionary spirit. Launched several years after the failure of the Great Leap Forward, the Cultural Revolution targeted the youth. A successful propaganda campaign mobilized groups of mostly disadvantaged youth (red guards) and the working class to purge those antithetical to the movement. Millions were killed in the resulting class warfare which targeted capitalists, rightists, and landlords. The effects of these influential events are still explored in modern chinese cinema many years after their occurrence. An ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 16. Stanley Milgram s In The Perils Of Obedience According to the Oxford dictionary Obedience is defined as a compliance with an order, request, or law or submission to another s authority. In many situations authority demonstrates the ability to control man to go against their beliefs in what is morally right. Due to fear and the insecurities of man, authority may push the limits of society to a point where the individual may temporarily give up their identity. This is proven by The Stanford Prison experiment The combination of realism and symbolism in this experiment had fused to create a vivid illusion of imprisonment. The illusion merged inextricably with reality for at least some of the time for every individual in the situation. It was remarkable how readily we all slipped into our roles, temporarily gave up our identities, and allowed these assigned roles and social forces in the situation to guide, shape, and eventually... • 17. The Establishment Of The European Union ( Eu ) How significant has been the development of the EU s policies concerning the protection of the natural environmental and climate change? What problems have confronted policy makers in framing and delivering such policies? Introduction The establishment of the European Union (EU) enabled them to handle transnational activities among the member states, including environmental policy. Its significance situates within its powers which can manage any other organisations among the member states by virtue of the laws within the European Union (Baker, 1996, p.215). As a result, it is broadly perceived that there is an increasing impact from the EU on policy making in the member states. This tendency is particularly recognised in environmental policy makings, because national standards in law needed to be questioned and harmonised and policy developments at the European level influences the national aims, content and settings of environmental policy within the member states (Heinelt et al., 2001). The area of environmental policy was not established until the first Environmental Action Programme in 1973 as the major aim for the European Economic Community s agenda was to build a common institutional framework for mostly economic issues (Jorgensen, 2012). In the next decades, the development of the area of environmental policy making was accelerated by the the Single European Act and by the support from the public who tends to have an increasing concern towards environmental ... It follows the Greatest Happiness Principle which is, The creed which accepts as the foundation of morals, Utility, or the Greatest Happiness Principle, holds that actions are right in proportion as they tend to promote happiness, wrong as they tend to produce the reverse of happiness (Mill 239). Utilitarianists most vast idea is creating the greatest happiness for the greatest number of people and to end pain and suffering with this principle by using Utilitarian Calculus. In Utilitarian Calculus, one would analyze the situation and as long as the action has a greater positive effect (more happiness) overall than a negative effect (pain and suffering) then the act is moral. Singer had many arguments when it comes to animal rights and speciesism. Singer defines speciesists as individuals who give greater weight to the interests of members of their own species when there is a clash between their interests and the interests of those of other species. Human speciesists do not accept that pain is as bad when it is felt by pigs or mice as when it is felt by humans (Singer Equality). Singer s main point when explaining animal rights is that equality does not require equal rights. Singer believes it is unrealistic and irrational to compare a dying mouse to a dying person because they do not have equal rights and situations in life. He states, It ... It bases on a truth story that some smart investors bet against the United State mortgage market in 2006 to 2008. Michael Burry, an eccentric hedge fund manager, discovered with his own research that the United State housing market was a bubble about to burst within in a couple years. He started to bet against the United State mortgagebacked securities market by convincing some large banks to create a credit default swapmarket, which was kind of a bond insurance police, and he invested about $1,3 billion in the credit default swap market. If he was right about the market collapse, his fund would bust up very high and make a hug profit. On the other hand, his fund would be gone if the market stay stable. Through Michael Burry s idea and action, the banker Jared Vennett who worked at Deutschebank quickly learned and understood that Burry s predictions was likely true, and he made himself an opportunity of earning fees on selling those credit default swap to the firms, which the firms could earn profit when the underlying mortgage bonds fail. • 24. An Analysis Of Katherine Anne Porter s The Grave An intriguing setting is crucial to a successful story. When a book or story does not have a proper setting the reader is going to be uninterested and unimpressed. Usually when a reader is uninterested or unimpressed with the reading, they will put in down and not finishing reading. The goal of any writer should be to make the reader visually picture their story or book. When a reader can visualize the story, they tend to be entertained with the reading and finish to the end. Writers have to bring the book to life with the details of the surrounding atmosphere. The reader wants to be able to see the green pasture or taste the homemade apple pie just from the description. I enjoy reading and I will not finish reading a storyif the setting is not detailed. One more important aspect of a great story is symbolism. As a reader, I m always searching to find a deeper meaning. The Grave by Katherine Anne Porter, she does a stellar job at bringing the reader in and making them feel as if they were apart of the story. • 27. Hydrogen Power and Energy Most of the energy we produce causes waste and pollution. Water allows us to cut some of this out of the equation. In 1874, a French author named Jules Verne wrote that hydrogen has the potential to be our next fuel source long before its potential was even discovered. And above all else, its abundant! Not only is the earth covered in 70% of water, but 90% of all matter contains hydrogen in it. Hydrogen itself produces miniscule amounts of pollution when burned. The problem that stands is that hydrogen is only found as a compound, and not by itself. Water contains a good amount of hydrogen, but also contains oxygen. However, we can extract the hydrogen atoms through a process called electrolysis. Electrolysis separates the hydrogen atoms from the oxygen atom to create HHO gas. The problem with this however is that electrolysis requires electricity to decompose the compound. The more current that is passed through the water the more chemical change it will undergo. Electrolysis is carried out in an electrolytic cell which don t contain a membrane. These cells contains two electrodes which separates the oxygen and the hydrogen. Now when most people think of converting water into energy, they usually think of water powered cars. Even though this is not entirely what electrolysis does, it isnt too far off. Fuel cell technology, even though it is still being developed, works with electrolysis to make this possible. An obstacle with making fuel cell technology possible is ... The strategies of teaching will be used to help students achieve their reading goals. In areas such as mathematics, developing teacher content knowledge has been a major concern because it is generally accepted that teachers who know these subjects are better able to teach them. As teachers, we need to research strategies that can be used to teach students how to read in every content area. Throughout his journey, he encounters countless gods, creatures and catastrophes that hinder his progress. Many of these events depicted in the story have gone on to become modern day metaphors for human conflicts, as readers begin to draw parallels between their lives and the struggles Odysseusencounters while on his journey. As a reader of the Odyssey, I began to realize that I could often relate to Odysseus problems, despite not being a Greek war hero countless miles away from their homeland. Perhaps the best example of this is when Odysseus is confronted with a decision in which he cannot win; whatever the choice he makes, it will have negative consequences. Recently, I have experienced a situation similar to this in nature, in which no matter what I decided, I would face negative consequences. The event that I am referring to in the Odyssey is when Odysseus must choose between an immortal monster by the name of Scylla that will kill six of Odysseus men and the whirlpool Charybdis that is almost certain to destroy the entire ship. Before he actually encounters these two mythical beings, he is warned of them by the goddess Circe who suggests, No, hug Scylla s crag sail on past her top speed! / Better by far to lose six men and keep your ship / than lose your entire crew (12.119 121). The next step will be to perform a bone marrow biopsy, pending the blood test results. If the results are abnormal or the doctor suspects leukemia despite normal cell counts, a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy are the next steps. These are very common and safe procedures. Then, if bone marrow examination confirms ALL, a spinal tap will be the next step, which means a needle will be inserted into the spinal canal and cerebrospinal fluid with leukemia cells will be collected and will be analyzed for signs that the disease has spread to the central nervous system. • 43. Better Business Bureau Research Paper For many years I had very high standards and respect for the Better Business Bureau. When many people used the words Better Business Bureau it was a safe guard for many consumer interest and helped resolve their grievances against erring companies. When the adult reader looks at Better Business Bureau logo it states Start With Trust . And it is the word trust that stays in many consumers mind. I really think that Better BusinessBureau sometimes caters to the paying customers only. For example, if I have a company X I pay a membership fee to the BBB to be on their list and keep up my rating. Which means if someone like yourself goes to the BBB website and see how I handle my complaints and keep up my rating; it tells the customer ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The project will bring in a large annual revenue and also create jobs for the city, unfortunately the project will effect a rare waterfowls habitat who lives in a slough on the lake. In order to obtain city approval Great Northern will have to address the residents and solve the issue of possibly enraged environmentalists about building the resort. Great Northern will communicate to the residents with three objectives in mind. First, to create awareness that the land has been sold to them to at least 70% of residents. Second, to create a positive company image to the more than half of the residents within one to two months. Last, to change the attitude of those who are against construction because it could hurt the waterfowl and sway people beliefs that the resort will be beneficial to Great Lake Cities economy. Key Publics: The primary figures that Great Northern will be concerned with while trying to win approval for the resort is the 5 member zoning commission and the separate 9 member city council. These organizations will be the main source Great Northern needs in order to gain approval, and it is ultimately their decision. Although, both groups will most likely want to hear public input on the project. This makes environmental groups a secondary public that Great Northern will need to win over as they are ... • 45. The Industries Experiment On The Planet The Industries Experiment on the Planet Data was collected in several locations: a natural forest, a clear cut, and a plantation. Within these spaces, the five bodily senses sight, smell, hearing, touch, and taste helped to identify how each location felt overall. In addition to the raw data collected, further analysis was undertaken using information obtained in class. Ideas within the course were applied to the three locations, and an analysis of the course content was applied to everyday problems concerning environmental issues that stem from greenhouse gas emissions caused by mega industries. Greed is the main driving force behind industries that profit from deforestation, damage to the natural world and climate are the collateral damage. The clear cut area lacked both fauna and flora. In the distance, the chirping of birds could be heard, but it was quite faint. The smell of trees and fresh dirt lingered slightly; it was dry on the ground, and the area felt as though it was barely hanging on to any semblance of its former life. There was a great feeling of emptiness and sadness. The point of herbicides is to kill off the broad leaf trees, so that the needle trees would not be required to fight for space and survival. (Davies, 2016) Plantation UNB Woodlot The plantation was difficult to spot amongst the many other trees. A search throughout a thin trail system was needed in order to locate one. Whilst stepping into the plantation, there was a great probability of overlooking it as simply another section of natural forest. Although there were many trees that resembled one another, it was surrounded by natural forest, so it blended in. The three ways to tell that an area has been converted into a plantation are: (a) if the trees are quite evenly spaced, (b) if there are more of one species of tree than others, and (c) if there are no broadleaf trees or they are sparse and very small. One could hear the sounds of birds chirping and woodpeckers nearby, and the smell was strong of pine, as it was a pine plantation. The general ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

My guide, Joan of Arc fell silent for once in her life, for it was her inspiring words that led to victories for France in the Hundred Years War. Though now honored among the archangels, Joan chose to lead souls through the depths of the Inferno to reach Paradiso and continue her life s work to inspire others. And now she lead me through the 9th circle of hell, into the farthest edges of the cavern where I could no longer seeing front of me. • 49. A Brief Note On The Twisted Pair Cables 2.3.3 Twisted Pair There are two types of Twisted Pair Cables, Shielded Twisted Pair (STP), and Unshielded Twisted Pair (UTP). Shielded Twisted Pair Cables have a very thin wire mesh that shield and protect the transmission. STP cables are used for the older phone networks, as well as data and network communications which are clearer and have less interference with the outside. Whereas Unshielded Twisted Pair Cables have no wire mesh and are therefore not protecting the transmission in the wiring. UTPs are mainly used for Local Area Networks (LAN) as well as telephone connections, however these are more vulnerable than STPs (Shielded Twisted Pair). 3. Backing Storage 3.1 Types 3.1.1 Disks You can back up your storage on a separate Hard Disk and on other forms of Disks such as a Floppy Disk. Using another Hard Disk to back up your storage is useful because it means that you can back up everything that is stored on the Hard Disk you want to back up. However it all depends on the size of Hard Disk you get. If it s much smaller than your current Disk, then you will only be able to back up the more important stuff that is stored on the Disk. Whereas if you got a Hard Disk that is bigger than your current Disk, then you will have room to back up the whole Disk, as well as add extras when you need to back up more recent data. 3.1.2 Pen Drives Pen drives can be used to back up data by putting them into the USB port of the device you wish to ... • 50. Improvements As A Writer And Thinker Improvements as a Writer and Thinker Reflecting as a writer and thinker I have noticed tremendous improvements in my work. My whole thought process and way of viewing topics has changed, giving me a better understanding when I write. In the beginning of the term I ran into many problems in College Writing I for instance, I was not too familiar with writingin MLA format and struggled reaching the page count. I found myself to procrastinate when papers were assigned making my anxiety levels increase. Despite my struggles as a writer and thinker, I learned how to overcome these obstacles. I learned to be open minded and looking at topics from another perspective. In the beginning of the term I was assigned an essaythat described me as a writer and thinker. With this essay being my first assignment, I was quite stressed with the feeling of failure. After this assignment I learned the importance of the drafting system. After my paper was graded I received it back and noticed multiple mistakes. This was the first step I practiced improving. Writing multiple drafts helped me analysis the material I wrote from another point of view. For example, I was able to eliminate sections that were unrelated from the main point. Building my vocabulary up another step I had focus as a writer and thinker. I used a combination between the dictionary and thesaurus to help me increase my vocabulary. Overtime with experience, I saw improvements in all of these categories that I was struggling ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
