Baby Ballerinas Research Paper
Baby Ballerina I saw it hanging on the knob the closet door. There it was a beautiful pink tutu,a
pink leotard and matching pink leggings. I squealed. Finally, my mom had put me into ballet
classes. Finally, I am already in first grade and if I hadn t started this year, I would never become a
true ballerina. I had dreamed of being a ballerina since I was 3. Only because ballerinas were so
flexible and beautiful, and they danced so effortlessly. I never stopped trying to learn the ways of
ballerinas. I would go into my room and play smooth music and practice on my tippy toes, as if I

just kept fluffing my tut looking at my bedroom door, blow drying my hair, waiting. My recital
was at 6:30, at that moment the small hand on the clock was in between the 5 and the 6 and the
long handle was on the 2. Of course, I had not learned that in school yet. I was so confused and
soon enough I finished blow drying my hair. Still, I waited, I waited for my mom to come in and
do my hair so that I can view myself for the very first time, as a ballerina. Slowly but surely, I
turned my head away from the t.v and there my mom was. Now, the small handle of the clock

Dangers Of Food Poisoning
Each year there are 76 million cases of food poisoning in the US and most go unreported. Food
poisoning and foodborne illnesses are more of a threat than many people think. The CDC
reports that about 325 thousand people are hospitalized each year due to food poisoning and
5,000 people die every year. For many people they do not even know that they are eating tainted
or contaminated food. The biggest thing that people can do is to wash their foods thoroughly and
cook foods all the way through. Harmful microbes can only be correctly killed using heat, whether
it is washing your foods correctly of cook them all the way. Food borne illnesses are on the rise
and they need to be stopped so that people can eat food without the worry of whether what they are
putting in their mouths is tainted or contaminated (Food Poisoning).
One dangerous and common foodborne illness that many in the US are affected by each year is E.
Coli. E.coli or Escherichia coli is a bacterium that is found in the intestines of mammals and birds.
About .1 percent of all bacteria in the intestines is E. coli, most E. coli help with digestion and
producing vitamins B and K. The pathogenic and dangerous types of E. coli are known to cause
pneumonia, blood diseases, meningitis and urinary tract infections. To have a harmful E. coli is
very unpleasant for the host and causes vomiting, diarrhea and abdominal pain. One of the most
common pathogenic strains is E. coli O157:H7. This strain is said to cause

Speech Before Congress By Carrie Chapman Catt
Three Years after Speech before Congress was delivered by Carrie Chapman Catt, a well known
leader of the women s suffragist movement were women granted the right to vote and receive all
rights as citizens. Catt s speech was a major stepping stone for Congress to pass the 19th
amendment. She was able to deliver her speech in a manner, which was persuasive to congress
because it encompassed all the rhetorical appeals. Not only did she describe benefits to
enfranchising women, she also spoke to the patriotism of her audience to further her cause. Catt
crafted her argument by presenting herself with authority and knowledge, she also used
undeniable logic by referring historical precedence, and she evoked sympathy in her audience by
describing the trials of disenfranchised women to create a powerful argument. While speaking
before Congress Catt knew her audience would be men that felt an immense pride in their country,
therefore she spoke to their patriotism. We women will be free to support loyally the party of our
choice, and we shall be far prouder of our history. (Catt 66) With that statement, Catt wanted her
audience to know, that women also felt great pride in their country. However, to truly be a part of
this great nation and be considered citizens would be an honor far greater. There wasn t anything
that would make women prouder than to be part of the decisions that impact growth and
development of this country. Catt wanted to reassure the men in Congress that women

Product Description Of Rat And Monkey Based Experiments Essay
Adipotide: Product Description
Adipotide is a synthetic peptide that possesses anti obesity properties. this peptide particularly
targets and destroys specific proteins that constitute the surface of blood vessels that support
white fat (adipose) tissue hence interfering with the supply of blood to the fat cells and resulting
in their adoptosis (reabsorption and metabolization). Adipotide was initially referred to as
Prohibitin TP01 (Prohibitin Targeting Peptide 1). It is a peptidomimetic that was synthesized by
American scientists as a potential therapeutic drug for obesity and its amino acid sequence is
CKGGRAKDC GG D(KLAKLAK)2. Adipotide has a molecular formula of
C111H204N36O28S2. Peptidomimetics are tiny protein like chains that imitate peptides. It is an
experimental drug for weight loss. It was developed in a way that enables it to bind to two
receptors, prohibitin and ANXA2 which are found in blood vessels that support white adipose tissue
. In rat and monkey based experiments, Adipotide has been shown to bring about rapid weight loss
in both mice and rhesus monkeys. In general, Adipotide has been observed to bring about weight
loss by reducing fat tissue especially in the abdominal region), rapid metabolic changes, and
decreased food intake. Product History
Adipotide was first synthesized by Dr.Wadih Arap and Renata Pasqualini in their efforts to develop
a drug with therapeutic properties in the treatment of cancer. The researchers specifically designed

Heteronormativity Research Paper
Heteronormativity is known as the belief that heterosexuality is the only normal and natural
expression of sexuality (Merriam Webster). While homosexuality is becoming more accepted in
today s society, heteronormativity is still a prominent issue in the media and life at home. There are
various opinions on heteronormativity, some believing that it is not an issue and others believing it
is alienating gay individuals. Although it does not affect the majority of households and individuals
in the U.S, a solution to heteronormativity would benefit LGBTQ individuals who feel isolated
from the rest of society. The concept of heteronormativity is one that few people actually take the
time to think about. Generally, the automatic assumed sexuality

Impacts Of Anthropogenic Activities And Land Use Changes...
Impacts on the forests are increasing as a result of the fantastic growth of human populations and
the global spread of pollutants leading to loss of biodiversity which is one of the most severe
threats to sustainability.
Land use changes have transformed land cover to farmlands, grazing lands, human settlements and
urban centers at the expense of natural vegetation particularly in West Africa. These changes are
associated with deforestation, biodiversity loss and land degradation. The relationships between land
use and biodiversity are fundamental to understanding the links between people and their
environment
The aim of this work is to provide a holistic view of the impacts of anthropogenic activities and
land use changes on biodiversity conservation by synthesizing works and facts across a range of
different related research works.
1.0INTRODUCTION
Biodiversity is the variety of life on Earth. It includes diversity at the genetic level, such as that
between individuals in a population or between plant varieties, the diversity of species, and the
diversity of ecosystems and habitats. (Assefa et al.,2007 )
Biodiversity provides the basis for ecosystems and the services they provide, upon which all people
fundamentally depend. People rely on biodiversity in their daily lives, often without realizing it.
Biodiversity has evolved over the last 3.8 billion years or so of the planet s approximately 5 billion
year history. Although five major extinction events have

David s Greatest Sin
David, the second king of Israel, was the youngest of Jesse s eight sons. History celebrates him as
a skilled musician. Scholars credit him with writing much of the Book of Psalms. David, an
ancestor of Jesus (a.k.a. Son of David), also prophesied about the coming Messiah, won fame and
renown for defeating Israel s enemies, and built the temple in Jerusalem. But despite these
distinctions, Davidoccasionally committed several disgraceful acts of great sinfulness.
Christians commonly think of David s greatest sin as his plot to murder Uriah and then marry
Uriah s wife Bathsheba. By far, a far greater sin was David;s unauthorized census of Israel. This
command was also evil in the sight of God, so he punished Israel. (1 Chronicles 21: 7).

aims and importance of learning provision for numeracy development are to ensure all students
understand that maths is a vital part of everyday life and will continue to be used throughout their
life. Primary schools will teach students to learn various methods and techniques to be able to
reach the correct answer. The end goal means more students will be able to solve a mathematical
problem, independently, using a method that suits them. They can then develop their learning to
improve their knowledge and apply it to real life situations; such as counting in groups of numbers

The Phases from One Heartbeat to the Next Essay
The cardiac events that take place from the beginning of the heart beat to the beginning of the next
one are called as the Cardiac Cycle. There are three main phases in the cycle that we will discuss
below:
1.Ventricular filling: Mid to late Diastole:
During the diastole phase, the atria and ventricles are relaxed and therefore the atrioventricular
valves are open, the ventricles are the primary pumps of the heart, therefor the term diastole
typically refers to the relaxation of the ventricles. Now when the heart is in the state of relaxation
and the pressure within the heart is low, this is when the blood is passively flowing through the atria
and in to the ventricles. De oxygenated blood from the superior and inferior vena cava ... Show
more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Therefore rights after ventricular systole occurs the pressure is passed along and start rising in
these arteries. It does not matter how strong the ventricles contract there will always be some blood
left in to the ventricles after contraction. The amount of blood remaining in to the ventricles after
contraction is known as End Systolic volume
3.Isovolumetric Relaxation: Early Diastole:
After ventricular systole phase, the ventricle begins to relax; the pressure in the ventricle begins
to decline. The pressure in the artery is now greater than that in the ventricle. Blood is now
closing the semi lunar valve as it tries to go from the artery into the ventricle preventing
backflow. After the aortic valve closes aortic pressure rises due to back flow known as the dicrotic
notch. Although the pressure in the ventricle is declining, but it is still greater than in the atria so
the atrioventricular (AV) valves are still closed. As the ventricle is relaxing the volume of blood in
the ventricle is not changing, so this stage will continue to do so until the ventricular pressure
becomes lower than the atrial pressure and after that the filling stage starts all over again by
opening AV valves.
So when our atria contracts it pushes blood in to the ventricles and there is something that
separates our atrium from our ventricles and it s called atrial ventricular or AV valve, so the AV
valves will open and the atria will

The Civil Rights Movement from 1954 to 1968 Essay
It was a hard time, and for many black persons, it seemed as if all the broken promises of
Reconstruction were epitomized in the actions of the Supreme Court of the United States. Ever
since the 1870 s, the Court had been eviscerating the congressional legislation and constitutional
amendments that had been established at the height of Reconstruction to protect some of the basic
citizenship rights of black people. 1954 was a new time and more than tears and words were
needed. Just about everyone that was black and alive at the time realized that the long, hard
struggles, led by the NAACP, had forced the Supreme Court to take a major stand on the side of

an intrusion of the federal government into their way of life. Southerner s pointed out that the

in what has to be known as Brown II were summarized in the phrase with all deliberate speed,
many black people were disappointed and felt that the government would not support desegregation.

The Pros And Cons Of Secessionism
Secession is the withdrawal of territory from a state in order to transform it into an independent
state or join it to another state (McGarry, 2016). It is commonly associated with negativity because
of its unpeaceable characteristics and often bloody aftermaths. The movement is believed and
known to lead to war (The Economist, 2000), as it has previously done so during the seventeen
hundreds when American colonies rebelled against Great Britain (HistoryNet, 2016). Particularly

Fall Of Atari
From 1972 to 1983, the video game giant Atari rose and fell. It fell due to a combination of
factors, including bad tradeoffs, a surplus issue, and a deficiency in entrepreneurial ability. The
Founder Nolan Bushnell sold Atari to the wrong company, administrators tended to overestimate
their game and console demand, and finally Atari lost its founder and best programmers. With all
these factors, Atari closed it s door for the final time in 1983. When Atari was created, it started off
with success in merely arcade games, but the founder wanted more. The founder, Nolan Bushnell,
along with his programmer Al Alcorn, created the hit Ponghis Atari arcade games on June 28th,

Man, a popular arcade game, was to be released in 1982 for their VCS console. It was highly

made 12 million cartridges, but only 7 million were bought. The game that truly buried Atari

Ford Pinto Case Study Essay

Pinto Case Study
February 6, 2012
1. Put yourself in the role of the recall coordinator for Ford Motor CO. It s 1973, and field reports
have been coming in about rear end collisions, fires, and fatalities. You must decide whether to
recall the automobile.
A. Identify the relevant facts.
In August of 1978 three teenage girls were driving a Ford Pinto and were struck from behind. The
three girls died because the Ford Pinto s fuel tank ruptured from the collision and burst into
flames. There was a big debate about the safety of the Ford Pinto to its proneness to its fuel tank
catching on fire in low speed rear end ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Ford convinced NHTSA that cost/benefit analysis would be appropriate for determining not to
change the fuel tank. The costs were eleven dollars per fuel tank to change which ended up
equaling 137.5 million dollars. This number is very large and much bigger than the benefit if they
would have not changed it, which was 49.5 million dollars.
B. Identify the pertinent ethical issues and points of ethical conflict.
All of the relevant facts discussed above lead to many ethical issues. Ford was aware of the
problem with the gas tank leaking and could have changed it before others died from their
mistakes. Putting a price value on a life to beat the Japanese in the small car market is unethical.
Safety should be a company s number one priority, not beating the completion. There was a legal
issue of NHTSA and Ford. Ford was aware that the fuel tanks were not working correctly but did
nothing to change it because the NHTSA, at the time, had no laws against it.
C. Identify the relevant affected parties.
a. Customers (Ford s victims)
b. Drivers of Pinto
c. Ford Employees
d. Manufactures of Ford
e. Suppliers of Ford
f. Dealers of Ford
g. Stockholders
h. NHTSA
The customers (drivers of Ford) are the number one stakeholders that lost the most. They might not
have lost much money or reputations, but they lost the one thing that you can never get back, their
life.

Monetary Policy And Analysis Of Nash Equilibria
Recently, the president of European Central Bank (ECB), Mr Mario Draghi, announced that he is
thinking of applying Quantitative Easing (QE) within the Eurozone. Assume that you are a member
of the ECB board of governors.
Introduction:
This essay deals with the economic and financial aspects, why Mr Mario Draghi is willing to make
use of Quantitative Easing, as well as pointing out the potential advantages and disadvantages of
this monetary policy and analysis of Nash Equilibria.
A1) In your view, what could be the reasons behind this decision?
Recently, the president of European Central Bank (ECB), Mr Mario Draghi, announced that he is
thinking of applying Quantitative Easing (QE) within the Eurozone. Quantitative Easing is a
monetary ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main objective of Mario Draghi is to inject money directly into the euro zone economy;
hopefully this will boost the economies in the Eurozone if the target of 2% inflation is met.
Essentially, if the inflation rate is above 2%, then the Bank will have to reduce the pace of
spending and decrease the inflation in order to maintain the 2% criteria. In comparison, if the
inflation is below the minimum percentage, it decreases the bank rate to the extent of boost of
inflation and spending.
Conversely, on behalf of a member of the ECB board of governors, applying quantitative easing
within the Eurozone is seen as a very unbalanced approach, unbalanced approach in terms of
effecting financial activities and may be beneficial for some countries in the Eurozone.
Nevertheless, the Germans may see Quantitative Easing as an ineffective monetary policy
regarding that, if the European Central Bank (ECB) purchase governments or corporate bonds
from high debt countries then the German taxpayers will face a risk of having to foot the bill.
This occurs if one or more of these countries default on their debt. Also, it will create a loss on the
balance sheet of the ECB. The other member countries in the euro zone, especially Germany, will
then have to step in to cover the loss (De Grauwe, 2015). Mario Draghi believes that the programme
of bond buying is an important financial approach to circumvent the Eurozone from a deflationary
situation. Whereas, the Germans fear

Comparison Between Group D And Group C
What is seen in the data is that there is not a steady decline in the reaction time when you
compare each column to the previous or next respectively. The time increases when comparing
Group A to Group B, but not Group B to Group C. The same also applies to Group C to Group D
and then a decrease from Group D to Group E. Figure 1 shows a clearer picture of the RT when
compared to all of the reaction time. Even though the time decreases in some areas, there is clear
increase or RT when looking from the youngest to olderst. When looking at the graph, there is
statistical significancein some of the areas and not in others. All data was calculated at a 95%
confidence level. The difference from Group Ato Group B is only 0.2538 seconds, but when the
data is compared to each other, the probability (P Value) is 0.000287. This is a significant
difference between the two. From Group B to Group C, there is a 0.01 second decrease in time,
which has a P Value of 0.4698. This is not a statistical difference and leaves room for this time to
not be a normal outcome. Group C and Group D has a 0.2289 seconds increase, but when
calculated with the raw data, there is no significant difference with a P Value of 0.0833. Group D

In his short story A Clean, Well Lighted Place, Ernest Hemingway, uses his usual style of elegant,
yet unembellished, prose to depict one late night interaction between an old man, a young waiter,
and an older waiter. The story takes place at a cafГ© in Madrid, during the era following the Lost
Generation and is apparent, given the contrasting perspectives of the characters. The part of the
story where the young waiter refills the old man s brandy with an agitated demeanor and the old
man desires nothing more than to drink continuously, as he does on a nightly basis, illuminates the
broader concerns of the of the story. This passage, although centered around the story s supporting
characters, unveils the idea of nothingness before the reader s introduction to the word nada.
Hemingway s A Clean, Well Lighted Place, is a revelation to the elaborate complexity of emotional
fulfillment versus the existential crisis of spiritual and emotional emptiness, between the young and
the old, throughout this particular generational gap. Throughout the passage, we see the young
waiter go through a wide range of emotions, beginning with him feeling irritated, which becomes
perceivable after his initial statement: a terse What do you want? directed at the old man (153). He
then becomes condescending, telling the old man that he will be drunk if he continues drinking,
knowing that he cannot hear him and that getting drunk is, evidently, the old man s intentions
(154). Next, he tells

The Korean Art Exhibition At The Los Angeles County Museum...
Korea has met many religious ideas and practices throughout the nation s history. Other than the
more indigenous ideologies like shamanism, Confucianism and Buddhism have been most
influential in ancient Korea prior to the onset of Japanese colonialism. The Korean Art Exhibition at
the Los Angeles County Museum of Art showed multiple ritual objects such as incense burners and
ritual bottles (kundika) used in Buddhist practices during the KoryЕЏ period, suggesting that the
religion was prevalent during that time. The museum also displayed a wooden tablet (wonpae) used
in the ChosЕЏn period for Buddhist rituals; however, the exhibit did not forget to mention that
Confucianism was the official ideology of the ChosЕЏn. The relationship between the two set of
beliefs has been dynamic throughout Korean history. Buddhism dominated religious practices in
the KoryЕЏ period, but during the transition from the KoryЕЏ to the ChosЕЏn period, Neo
Confucian scholars overpowered its counterpart by calling for anti Buddhism reforms. The
bringing of new ideas by Neo Confucians was necessary in replacing the rich and overpowered
Buddhism religion and attaining a new order of virtuous and meritorious leadership. Buddhism, for
most of Koreas history, was the prominent religion that exerted influence over the Korean people,
both elites and commoners. It reached its peak in the KoryЕЏ period, during which many Buddhist
monasteries were built. The Buddhist community grew extensively along with the

The Jordan Brand
It is safe to say that everywhere we look, some form of the Jordan brand can be seen. From 1985
to present day, the Jordan label has filled the world with its products. So what is it about an
insignia of a miniature man with his arm outstretched that has millions of people clamoring for
more? Some would argue that the brand is so successful due to the popular sport and the man
himself, Michael Jordan. Some will also argue that the brand is not beneficial to the
impressionable adolescents of today. Does the Jordan symbol represent the greatness of a sport or

Every year newer versions of the tennis shoe are put on the shelves. Sensibly, each new pairs are
just as expensive as the last, or even more so. Regardless of the prices, the little man with his ball

pricey tennis shoes? The answer can be found in the argument for the Jordan brand, greatness. If
people see others who are wearing these sought after tennis shoes receive good responses and
praises, it would only make sense for them to want to buy them. Unfortunately, a target for this
marketing strategy also includes young children and susceptible teens. Most of them are at the age
where they are craving attention and acceptance from their peers. And what better way to receive

To finish, whether or not the Jordan symbol is positive or negative, it is still influential and here
to stay. A small crest of man has the power to motivate people all around the world. He also has
the power to hinder people from being themselves. If either sides wanted to put their debates to

State Fidelity In The Odyssey
Odysseus, the main character of The Odyssey, is a man of great courage who is married to
Penelope, Queen of Ithaca. Even though it is clear that Odysseus is married to Penelope, he is
involved in intimate relations with a few goddesses on his journey home to Ithaca from the Trojan
War. For example, regardless of Odysseuslonging to return home, he is tempted first by Calypso,
spending eight years imprisoned on her island, and ultimately remaining true to Penelope in his
heart. Also, he spends a year with Circe, a seductress, in order to liberate his men from living as
swine. Furthermore, Odysseus faithfulness to Penelope is almost compromised when he and his
men pass the Sirens women who entice men to their death utilizing their beautiful voices.
Additionally, Greek and Christian marriagestandards are distinctly different. Christians believe that
marriage is a sacrament, or union between one man and one woman that is blessed by the church,
while pagans hold to a belief of self uniting marriage known as handfasting a historical term for a
betrothal or wedding that is sometimes acknowledged as a temporary engagement. This paper will

Justice In The Oresteia
In Aeschylus tragic trilogy The Oresteia, Aeschylus writes about a fundamental question in
philosophy. What is the nature of justice? In his plays, starting with Agamemnon, the Achaeans
slowly emerge and evolve from an older, more primitive autocratic form of justice, to a new concept
of justice devised by Athena. The trilogy culminates in hung jurytrial, and eventually Orestes
absolution. The jury trial at the end of The Furies implies that justiceis arbitrary, must include
deliberation, and is more than an eye for an eye.
In ancient Greece law of retaliation was similar to the eye for an eye concept. Because
Clytemnestra killed their father, it was only fair for Orestes to kill her. This is idea is imposed in

The problem with revenge is that it never ends. Instead, revenge leads to more revenge, and it is
mentioned, towards the end of The Furies, as especially dangerous for civic order. The Furies
represent a more primordial sense of justice, which Athena is intent on changing. Aeschylus is
asserting that the cycle of violence and vindictive acts of justice is characteristic of a primitive
society and that some other way must be found to resolve the conflict of moral questions. The
establishment of the courts at the end of the trilogy directly concept of justice.
The establishment of the courts provides a place for the citizens to decide about what is moral
and to debate the details of specific cases. The emergence of the jury trial also suggests that justice
is not just unless it involves deliberation. In the earlier plays Orestes and Clytemnestra took justice
into their own hands by acting impulsively and Aeschylus implies in his tragedy that When a
person seeks justice they must be careful not to pursue it in a vindictive way because revenge will
inevitably transgress into suffering for the person seeking reprisal. the law needs to be concerned

Justification We Are Saved From The Guilt Of God
By justification we are saved from the guilt of sin and restored to the favour of God. But how
can one be assured their faith has been justified? Assurance was a heated debate during the
reformation period. It is apparent that Wesley wrestled with how to verbalize this piece of
salvation puzzle as his critics found his ideas to be contradictory at times. For sake of clarity,
only the explicable attributes for assurance will be brought forth. First and foremost, God is the
source of assurance and not the individual. Secondly, the fruits of the Spirit are testimony or
evidence of justified faith. The Spirit of God does give a believer such a testimony of his
adoption that while it is present to the soul he can no more doubt the reality of his sonship than
he can doubt of the shining of the sun while he stands in the full blaze of his beams. In other
words, a person is assured that their faith has justified them from being a servant of God to being
a child of God because of the witnessed fruits or signs of the Holy Spiritworking within their heart.
A third attribute is that assurance is self evident. Even though he spoke in absolute tones, Wesley
contemplated assurance for many years as he reconciled the experience of others. This eventually
led him to acknowledge the idea that assurance could vary for certain people, in extreme
circumstance at most. He also conceded from personal experience that the intensity of assurance
can change over time. How, then, does

How can Art be Defined
The search for a definition of Art has been subject of a complex philosophical reflection

Etymologically, the word Aesthetics derives from the Greek Гisthesis, which means perception by

discover the complexity of perceptive knowledge.

Faced with the difficulties encountered by the circularity of the Institutional theory, some
theoreticians have tried to develop some definitions based on the relational properties of art,
changing the terms of the essential relationships between its properties.
On this terms, a very interesting approach has been suggested by Levinson (1979), who is
committed to the development of a definition in which the Art is identified through the relationship
with history.
Levinson (1979) argues that an object is a work of art if it has been created to be perceived and
evaluated in the same way that previous and recognized works of art have been received and
evaluated. In other words, what is art today resembles the continuing relationship which justifies the
attribution of the status of Artwork.
His theory, known as the Historical Intentional, is halfway between the Institutional and the other
traditional Aesthetics definitions.
Levinson s proposal differs significantly from that of Dickie (1974), and the difference lies in the
recovery of a real contact with our relationship with history and with the Artworks.
Even though I truly appreciate the effort of philosophers in trying to identify a generic definition, I
assume that there is not a unique definition of Art, this word is far too complex and matter of
subjectivity, and I believe that it is not necessary to incorporate the universal in the particular.
Art is generally the perception of beauty, but

Football And Football
I do not think football has become an essential lens for American history, culture, or society. I do
not think football has been around, and popular that long for it to have a tremendous impact,
however I do think that it did have a big impact not an essential one. An abundant amount recent
history was affected football, and football has affected it. This is especially true in recent history I
will do my best to explain below.
When we look at American history we see who won the battles, and what sides won wars, and see
all of the big things, but the small things we do not see. Sports or football in this case helps us see
just that. Football helped us see the culture of people the way people interacted with people, and
see why they did what they did it gives us their rationale in situations throughout American
history. Football also allowed us to overcome obstacles we might not have overcome as quickly
such as high tensions in race relations in the 1960 s. Football made integration in schools in the
long run better by the relationships players, and coaches had to develop in order to succeed, and
after they forged these forced relationships they became real friends, like in Remember the titans
with Gary, and Julius. Football also helps us see the past from other people s perspective. My

3.S.183 states, a Director of a corporation must not improperly use the information to gain an
advantage for themselves or someone else (slides). In this case of Vidler, the courts found there
was a breach of s.183 as Vidler had used company information gained as a director to invest in
shares to make profit for himself. Similar but different to this case, Patricia has breached s.183
of the CA as she has improperly used company information to gain advantage for someone else

The Between The Mountains Of Two Eternities
Society has manifested itself as a vale between the mountains of two eternities: one of unfazed
certainty and one of perilous doubt. Sometimes people s mountainous certainty overshadows their
intentions, dreams, and actions. Even though such thought can bring about positive confidence, it
also misleads one s thought process. According to Murphy s Quantum Law, no matter how certain
one is, no hypothesis can purely be certain. There exists no predetermination which one can use to
prove things certain. With this in mind, the corresponding doubt that arises with uncertaintyhelp
alleviate our thoughts. Doubt provides a seed for skepticismwhich allows us to deduce what we
blindly see as certain into logical conclusions. All while the... Show more content on

Critics of the Wright Brothers sometimes attribute their discovery to luck rather than doubt, even
in the 21st century! The only thing the critics fail to realize is that whether or not the discovery
was caused by luck is beside the point; the discovery simply would not have happened without
the Wright Brothers doubts. The innovation of the Wright Brothers and the culture of doubt laid
down the path to future greats, such as NASA. NASA reached the impossible by landing on the
moon. But unlike the Martian fanfictions, they did it through trial and error. NASA astronauts go
through years of simulation before they ever set foot in an actual spaceship. But when they did,
they took one small step for man and a giant leap for mankind. Without doubt, neither the Wright
Brothers nor NASA would have ever done what they did to change the course of history because
they would never have been motivated to challenge the olden beliefs. In addition to paving the
way to greatness, doubt has also kept us safe. This thought is clearly displayed when behind the
wheel. Every year, people who text, drink, or refuse to wear their seatbelt while driving step into
their vehicles with the belief that they would certainly be able to multitask. Sadly, in many cases,
they leave their vehicles in ambulance stretchers. Every year, millions around the world become a
fatal statistic due to their false sense of

Harmful microbes can only be correctly killed using heat, whether it is washing your foods correctly of cook them all the way. Speech Before Congress By Carrie Chapman Catt Three Years after Speech before Congress was delivered by Carrie Chapman Catt, a well known leader of the women s suffragist movement were women granted the right to vote and receive all rights as citizens. Catt s speech was a major stepping stone for Congress to pass the 19th amendment. She was able to deliver her speech in a manner, which was persuasive to congress because it encompassed all the rhetorical appeals. Not only did she describe benefits to enfranchising women, she also spoke to the patriotism of her audience to further her cause. Catt crafted her argument by presenting herself with authority and knowledge, she also used undeniable logic by referring historical precedence, and she evoked sympathy in her audience by describing the trials of disenfranchised women to create a powerful argument. While speaking before Congress Catt knew her audience would be men that felt an immense pride in their country, therefore she spoke to their patriotism. We women will be free to support loyally the party of our choice, and we shall be far prouder of our history. (Catt 66) With that statement, Catt wanted her audience to know, that women also felt great pride in their country. However, to truly be a part of this great nation and be considered citizens would be an honor far greater. • 7. Product Description Of Rat And Monkey Based Experiments Essay Adipotide: Product Description Adipotide is a synthetic peptide that possesses anti obesity properties. this peptide particularly targets and destroys specific proteins that constitute the surface of blood vessels that support white fat (adipose) tissue hence interfering with the supply of blood to the fat cells and resulting in their adoptosis (reabsorption and metabolization). Adipotide was initially referred to as Prohibitin TP01 (Prohibitin Targeting Peptide 1). It is a peptidomimetic that was synthesized by American scientists as a potential therapeutic drug for obesity and its amino acid sequence is CKGGRAKDC GG D(KLAKLAK)2. Adipotide has a molecular formula of C111H204N36O28S2. Peptidomimetics are tiny protein like chains that imitate peptides. It is an experimental drug for weight loss. It was developed in a way that enables it to bind to two receptors, prohibitin and ANXA2 which are found in blood vessels that support white adipose tissue . In rat and monkey based experiments, Adipotide has been shown to bring about rapid weight loss in both mice and rhesus monkeys. In general, Adipotide has been observed to bring about weight loss by reducing fat tissue especially in the abdominal region), rapid metabolic changes, and decreased food intake. • 9. Impacts Of Anthropogenic Activities And Land Use Changes... Impacts on the forests are increasing as a result of the fantastic growth of human populations and the global spread of pollutants leading to loss of biodiversity which is one of the most severe threats to sustainability. Land use changes have transformed land cover to farmlands, grazing lands, human settlements and urban centers at the expense of natural vegetation particularly in West Africa. These changes are associated with deforestation, biodiversity loss and land degradation. The relationships between land use and biodiversity are fundamental to understanding the links between people and their environment The aim of this work is to provide a holistic view of the impacts of anthropogenic activities and land use changes on biodiversity conservation by synthesizing works and facts across a range of different related research works. 1.0INTRODUCTION Biodiversity is the variety of life on Earth. But despite these distinctions, Davidoccasionally committed several disgraceful acts of great sinfulness. Christians commonly think of David s greatest sin as his plot to murder Uriah and then marry Uriah s wife Bathsheba. By far, a far greater sin was David;s unauthorized census of Israel. This command was also evil in the sight of God, so he punished Israel. (1 Chronicles 21: 7). ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 13. The Phases from One Heartbeat to the Next Essay The cardiac events that take place from the beginning of the heart beat to the beginning of the next one are called as the Cardiac Cycle. There are three main phases in the cycle that we will discuss below: 1.Ventricular filling: Mid to late Diastole: During the diastole phase, the atria and ventricles are relaxed and therefore the atrioventricular valves are open, the ventricles are the primary pumps of the heart, therefor the term diastole typically refers to the relaxation of the ventricles. Now when the heart is in the state of relaxation and the pressure within the heart is low, this is when the blood is passively flowing through the atria and in to the ventricles. De oxygenated blood from the superior and inferior vena cava ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Therefore rights after ventricular systole occurs the pressure is passed along and start rising in these arteries. It does not matter how strong the ventricles contract there will always be some blood left in to the ventricles after contraction. The amount of blood remaining in to the ventricles after contraction is known as End Systolic volume 3.Isovolumetric Relaxation: Early Diastole: After ventricular systole phase, the ventricle begins to relax; the pressure in the ventricle begins to decline. The pressure in the artery is now greater than that in the ventricle. Blood is now closing the semi lunar valve as it tries to go from the artery into the ventricle preventing backflow. After the aortic valve closes aortic pressure rises due to back flow known as the dicrotic notch. Although the pressure in the ventricle is declining, but it is still greater than in the atria so the atrioventricular (AV) valves are still closed. As the ventricle is relaxing the volume of blood in the ventricle is not changing, so this stage will continue to do so until the ventricular pressure becomes lower than the atrial pressure and after that the filling stage starts all over again by opening AV valves. So when our atria contracts it pushes blood in to the ventricles and there is something that separates our atrium from our ventricles and it s called atrial ventricular or AV valve, so the AV valves will open and the atria will ... In comparison, if the inflation is below the minimum percentage, it decreases the bank rate to the extent of boost of inflation and spending. Shades range from a light brown to dark brown. Though the shades of black are the same in both countries, there is one major difference. In the United States if you possess any percentage of African blood you are considered as black, but in Brazilit depends on the color of your skin. In class we were shown twin brothers that applied to attend a public university in Brazil. One of the brothers was accepted, but other was denied because the person reviewing their application deemed the first brother as black and the other brother as white. • 33. Justification We Are Saved From The Guilt Of God By justification we are saved from the guilt of sin and restored to the favour of God. But how can one be assured their faith has been justified? Assurance was a heated debate during the reformation period. It is apparent that Wesley wrestled with how to verbalize this piece of salvation puzzle as his critics found his ideas to be contradictory at times. For sake of clarity, only the explicable attributes for assurance will be brought forth. First and foremost, God is the source of assurance and not the individual. Secondly, the fruits of the Spirit are testimony or evidence of justified faith. The Spirit of God does give a believer such a testimony of his adoption that while it is present to the soul he can no more doubt the reality of his sonship than he can doubt of the shining of the sun while he stands in the full blaze of his beams. In other words, a person is assured that their faith has justified them from being a servant of God to being a child of God because of the witnessed fruits or signs of the Holy Spiritworking within their heart. A third attribute is that assurance is self evident. Even though he spoke in absolute tones, Wesley contemplated assurance for many years as he reconciled the experience of others. This eventually led him to acknowledge the idea that assurance could vary for certain people, in extreme circumstance at most. He also conceded from personal experience that the intensity of assurance can change over time. How, then, does ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

How can Art be Defined The search for a definition of Art has been subject of a complex philosophical reflection incorporated; however, within different thematics because the very idea of Art is changeable as it relies on the culture and the tradition of a particular epoch. Etymologically, the word Aesthetics derives from the Greek Гisthesis, which means perception by the senses. Faced with the difficulties encountered by the circularity of the Institutional theory, some theoreticians have tried to develop some definitions based on the relational properties of art, changing the terms of the essential relationships between its properties. On this terms, a very interesting approach has been suggested by Levinson (1979), who is committed to the development of a definition in which the Art is identified through the relationship with history. Levinson (1979) argues that an object is a work of art if it has been created to be perceived and evaluated in the same way that previous and recognized works of art have been received and evaluated. In other words, what is art today resembles the continuing relationship which justifies the attribution of the status of Artwork. His theory, known as the Historical Intentional, is halfway between the Institutional and the other traditional Aesthetics definitions. Levinson s proposal differs significantly from that of Dickie (1974), and the difference lies in the recovery of a real contact with our relationship with history and with the Artworks. Even though I truly appreciate the effort of philosophers in trying to identify a generic definition, I assume that there is not a unique definition of Art, this word is far too complex and matter of subjectivity, and I believe that it is not necessary to incorporate the universal in the particular. Art is generally the perception of beauty, but ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Maybe if there were more answers to the questions people have, just maybe then polyamory wouldn t be such a scary thing. For instance, many people question whether polyamory is all about physical attention. The answer is yes and no. No because the center attraction to polyamory tends to be the love or the amor and the focus is mostly on relationships; yes because there are always physical attention properties in almost every relationship. Another question that is commonly asked is whether polyamory and adultery are similar or go hand in hand. This is not true, polyamory is about a consensual love that is equal amongst all three members ( Polyterms Aphroweb). The last question, that is asked quite often, is if someone supports or is in a polyamorous relationship, are they considered anti monogamy ( The Downside of Polyamory Deborah Anapol Ph.D). • 41. Football And Football I do not think football has become an essential lens for American history, culture, or society. I do not think football has been around, and popular that long for it to have a tremendous impact, however I do think that it did have a big impact not an essential one. An abundant amount recent history was affected football, and football has affected it. This is especially true in recent history I will do my best to explain below. When we look at American history we see who won the battles, and what sides won wars, and see all of the big things, but the small things we do not see. Sports or football in this case helps us see just that. Football helped us see the culture of people the way people interacted with people, and see why they did what they did it gives us their rationale in situations throughout American history. Football also allowed us to overcome obstacles we might not have overcome as quickly such as high tensions in race relations in the 1960 s. Football made integration in schools in the long run better by the relationships players, and coaches had to develop in order to succeed, and after they forged these forced relationships they became real friends, like in Remember the titans with Gary, and Julius. Football also helps us see the past from other people s perspective. Sometimes people s mountainous certainty overshadows their intentions, dreams, and actions. Even though such thought can bring about positive confidence, it also misleads one s thought process. According to Murphy s Quantum Law, no matter how certain one is, no hypothesis can purely be certain. There exists no predetermination which one can use to prove things certain. With this in mind, the corresponding doubt that arises with uncertaintyhelp alleviate our thoughts. Doubt provides a seed for skepticismwhich allows us to deduce what we blindly see as certain into logical conclusions. All while the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Critics of the Wright Brothers sometimes attribute their discovery to luck rather than doubt, even in the 21st century! The only thing the critics fail to realize is that whether or not the discovery was caused by luck is beside the point; the discovery simply would not have happened without the Wright Brothers doubts. The innovation of the Wright Brothers and the culture of doubt laid down the path to future greats, such as NASA. NASA reached the impossible by landing on the moon. But unlike the Martian fanfictions, they did it through trial and error. NASA astronauts go through years of simulation before they ever set foot in an actual spaceship. But when they did, they took one small step for man and a giant leap for mankind. Without doubt, neither the Wright Brothers nor NASA would have ever done what they did to change the course of history because they would never have been motivated to challenge the olden beliefs. In addition to paving the way to greatness, doubt has also kept us safe. This thought is clearly displayed when behind the wheel. Every year, people who text, drink, or refuse to wear their seatbelt while driving step into their vehicles with the belief that they would certainly be able to multitask.
