I went to go see 2 Pianos 4 Hands at Neptune Theatre on March 6th; I have attached
the ticket and the program. I was impressed overall with the vocal performance but
there were a few things that I noticed. The breath support was diaphragmatic for the
most of the play but I did notice some upper chest breathing in Richard Todd
Adams, who played Ted. I only noticed this when he was downstage and delivering
his speech. Bryce Kulak, who played Richard, seemed to be breathing
diaphragmatically the whole time. The sound quality was all over the place with
both actors but it was clearly a characterchoice. When the actors were switching
between different characters they added glottal attacks to show the harshness of
their character. When there was a particularly strict teacher, extra glottal attacks
were added and when they were playing children their voice seemed to have more
of a soft quality. One of the things I really admired about this show was how the
