New media technologies were used extensively during the research, planning, production, and evaluation stages of the project. During research, websites like Pearl and Dean, Mahara, YouTube, Prezi and Slideshare were used to gather secondary information and organize findings. OneDrive was particularly helpful for planning by allowing the sharing of documents like shot lists, storyboards, and equipment lists. Production utilized software like Photoshop, Illustrator, and Final Cut Pro on an iMac to edit footage recorded using Canon 80D cameras and an iPad voice recorder. Distribution was done through YouTube and Mahara by uploading the teaser trailer, poster, and magazine cover. Evaluations were presented using Prezi and PowerPoint.

3. • Pearl and Dean – We used this to found out our secondary information about our chosen target
audience.
• Mahara – This was our way of recording all of our research down. It shows the development of our skills,
ideas all the way up until our evaluation. We were able to upload documents, presentations, videos to
give as much detail as possible.
• Youtube – One way we were able to develop our knowledge on teaser trailer was by watching real media
products, and past students products. We could use these videos to carry out textual analysis' to enable
us to have as much information about teaser trailers so we could create our own.
• Prezi / Slideshare / Presentation – These were the main websites in which I used to record the research I
had carried out. It helped to organize my research in a way I could look back on t for future reference.

4. • One Drive was the most helpful website when it came to our marketing
campaign and especially in research and planning.
• On this website my group and I created a shared film which we could
add on our planning documents. We uploaded things like:
• Shot List
• Storyboard
• Screenplay
• Location Recce
• Prop and costume lists
This enabled us to be reading for filming day with all the
correct equipment and documents we needed.

6. We created our edit on an iMac
computer, this was downloaded with
all the most recent software such as;
Photoshop and Illustrator.
We needed to use a voice
recorder to record our voice
overs. We use an iPad to record
and then uploaded it onto
Soundcloud. This then meant that
is was then available for us to
download onto our computer and
add it to our edit on Final Cut Pro
X.
Before the production I
hadn't had any practice in
using the Cannon 80D.
These cameras were a lot
more advanced than the
cameras we used in AS.
There were features such;
• Auto-focus and
manual focus – This
was helpful as we
were able to keep a
fixed focus in some
shorts and change the
depth of field in other
shots.
• Exposure Locking – it
keeps the lighting the
same and helps when
editing.
We used photoshop to remove the background of the
poster and magazine cover images. We then exported
the images to Illustrator where we created our actual
Poste and Magazine cover.

8. • We used YouTube to upload our final teaser trailer. We also used Mahara to
upload our Poster and Magazine cover.
• In the evaluation stages I used Prezi and Microsoft presentation to share
my ideas.
