2. Range of shots
• I wanted to know how the range of shots would affect the audiences perception
of the characters.
• In production of the film, I had more understanding of the variety of shots you
can use in film. As well as understanding the effect it has on the audience.
• When the conversation is occurring we used a low-angle shot when Zara is talking
to emphasise that Zara has authority over Sam. This is why we used a high-angle
shot when Sam is talking to show that Zara is looking down at Sam.
• I learned that this can have an affect on the audience. Zara in the picture, on the
right, seems a lot bigger than she actually is. This emphasises that she has
authority. I took this on board and decided to use it in my film because the
character Big Jon needs to be shown to have authority over Matt Don and

4. Editing
• I wanted to learn how to edit.
• In post-production, I learned to use Premiere Pro for editing the
Preliminary Sequence.
• Editing the Preliminary Sequence gave me experience of what choices
the editor can make. For example, once Zara comes down the stairs,
we have a information edit of Sam sitting on the stairs to inform the
audience he is there. It could also emphasise that Zara is coming
down the stairs to meet Sam.
• Editing is a very important skill when it comes to making the film.
