Research and Planning • Research and planning was much more important in a longer film, for the main task • I had to do more research into target audiences so I knew what would be best, and more popular, to involve in my media product • I did research into thrillers and opening sequences, so I knew the conventions and what is expected/effective to be present in a thriller opening sequence • Planning allows development of conventions and ideas, so not only is the film likeable as it includes conventions, those conventions are developed into more interesting ideas through the planning process • I found that research and planning is essential to make the best, and most popular/likeable, content for the thriller genre

If I were to do it again • I would organise filming times better, so that it is all done on the same day, and so that I am not missing any planned shots when I edit • Leave myself more time for editing • Add a larger variety of shots, improving the aesthetics of the film • Possibly add more dialogue
