We have collected feedback on our products
constantly throughout the construction
process.
We have done this through:
Verbal feedback from our teachers and
peers
Focus groups – feedback from our target
audience
Twitter – feedback from our chief examiner
Rough-Cut Feedback
Once we had created some ‘Rough-Cuts’ of our 3
products (Video, Website, Digipak) we asked our
target audience in a focus group, and additionally
gained feedback from our teachers, peers and our
chief examiner Pete Fraser.
We then reflected on this feedback and amended our
products in light it.
Teacher Feedback
Teacher Feedback
From collecting feedback from our teachers we summarized it
into the following points:
The editing was good and well paced.
A good variety of shots and angles.
Genre is consistent and apparent in all products.
A good range of interactive features on the website.
From the feedback we received we also came up with points
for improvement:
Include more close-ups of the singer.
Add more tracks to the Digipak and make the font slightly
smaller.
Delete the Forum Page. (website)
Make a twitter account and Instagram for the live social
feed.

Peer Feedback
From the feedback we received from our peers we noticed that overall, they
were very impressed with the products we have made and they thought they
looked very professional. However, there were some improvements to be
made:
For the video many people found that the colours were quite light and did
not suit the style of music.
Our peers also found that the video was a little slow in some places. To
improve from this we intended to increase the editing pace to make it
more dramatic and build the tension.
The main problem encountered about the digipak was that there was not
enough tracks placed on the back of the digipak. To improve from this we
intended to add more tracks and also change the names, as they were
not original.
Website - From the feedback we noticed that the main problem with the
website was the menu bar. We also found that we needed to add more
pictures to the website in general, including shots of the band. To
improve we removed the 'Forum' page as we felt it isn't necessary.
Rough Cut Amendments
From the feedback we received on our Rough-Cuts we came up with
the following amendments that we intended to make on our video,
website and digipak:
Video:
Make the video look
more grungy and
darker - using the
desaturate and the
brightness and contrast
tool.
Decrease the
brightness of the
cutaways
Make some of the cuts
quicker, build up the
tension towards the
end of the video
Digipak:
Add more tracks
to the back of the
digipak and make
the text smaller
Make the text a bit
bigger on the
lyrics page.
Website:
Possibly add an
'Enter Page' before
the homepage
Remove the
'FORUM' page

  • 5. Teacher Feedback From collecting feedback from our teachers we summarized it into the following points: The editing was good and well paced. A good variety of shots and angles. Genre is consistent and apparent in all products. A good range of interactive features on the website. From the feedback we received we also came up with points for improvement: Include more close-ups of the singer. Add more tracks to the Digipak and make the font slightly smaller. Delete the Forum Page. (website) Make a twitter account and Instagram for the live social feed.
  • 8. Peer Feedback From the feedback we received from our peers we noticed that overall, they were very impressed with the products we have made and they thought they looked very professional. However, there were some improvements to be made: For the video many people found that the colours were quite light and did not suit the style of music. Our peers also found that the video was a little slow in some places. To improve from this we intended to increase the editing pace to make it more dramatic and build the tension. The main problem encountered about the digipak was that there was not enough tracks placed on the back of the digipak. To improve from this we intended to add more tracks and also change the names, as they were not original. Website - From the feedback we noticed that the main problem with the website was the menu bar. We also found that we needed to add more pictures to the website in general, including shots of the band. To improve we removed the 'Forum' page as we felt it isn't necessary.

Rough Cut Amendments From the feedback we received on our Rough-Cuts we came up with the following amendments that we intended to make on our video, website and digipak: Video: Make the video look more grungy and darker - using the desaturate and the brightness and contrast tool. Decrease the brightness of the cutaways Make some of the cuts quicker, build up the tension towards the end of the video Digipak: Add more tracks to the back of the digipak and make the text smaller Make the text a bit bigger on the lyrics page. Website: Possibly add an 'Enter Page' before the homepage Remove the 'FORUM' page
