question 3
What have you learnt from your
audience feedback ?
Target audience research – TA Interviews
• To discover what my target audience really wanted from a music video I decided
to interview members of my TA.
• I asked them the following questions –
• The questions were presented to three
Members of my TA the sample which was
Made up of 1 female and two males all of which were from different ethnicities
These questions gave me a good under-
Standing of what my TA want and why.
•
Feedback given
• https://youtu.be/UIG2XgFzgoI
• They want something different and interesting (enigma).
• They like narrative based videos.
• Personality translated from the artist into the video – but don’t want to
see the artist – its not a must.
• The video fanatically represent the song.
• Show a meaning.
• Characters should be authentic.
• Lyrics are not required.
Did I follow the feedback ?
• I attempted to do something different with my music video by visually making
the video interesting. Adding filters over my footage so I have succeeded in
making my music video “different and Interesting”
• I followed the advice of not including the artist and made my music video
entirely narrative based.
• I did not attempt to translate the artists personality into the video as I do not
know the artist personally so it would be futile attempting to do so
• I showed meaning through props such as alcohol presenting the meaning of
being rebellious.
• My characters were as authentic as possible by being the exact age I was
looking for (17).
• I did not include lyric in my video as my TA said they were not needed.
The Pitch
• I pitched my idea to class mates answering their questions after, this was
a really good experience as it allowed me to discover any flaws with the
plan for my music video as 10 brains work a lot faster than one.
• It also gave me a chance to gain am opinion of my video from people who
aren’t necessarily from my target audience but are from the same age
range.

• Digital clock idea
Did I follow the feedback ?
• Overall I did not follow the original plan I presented in my pitch but I did
learn from the advice given to me during the pitch.
• The idea is original
• digital clock idea – I was originally going to use this idea but decided not
too as it looked too abnormal.
• Overall what I learnt from the pitch feedback was that the general public
like my idea.
Digipak Feedback sessions
Did I follow the feedback ? (draft)
Feedback given
• My A2 class all contributed in a group feedback session, going around the table everyone looked at each
others ideas. Telling the designer, What they like and how they can improve.
(3 arrows were given to each class member, 1 for font, 2 for our favourite panel)
- Everyone liked the 3D effect seen top right as well as the outline.
- Everyone liked the Pink titles as they though it stands out especially the vertical one. They also said
that I should try blue and red on the titles.
- They said as the band is very indie I should literally write on the CD the bands name like I did on the
draft (bottom right).
- Overall everyone said they would like it if I combined both ideas.
How am I going to use the feedback I've been given ?
Using the feedback I've been given I am going to create a hybrid of my two ideas, using the 3D effect
and most likely the Pink on Poplar std (Most popular font). I am also going t use the marker pen idea on
the CD as I think its a unique idea.
Did I follow the feedback given
Overall I did follow the feedback given.
I included the sideways “The Vaccines”.
I also included the 3d effect which everyone liked.
The end.
