       Question 3
• At first we thought that our target audience
for this song would be peoplebetwen the ages
of 30 – 40 as they would be alive during the
golden era of both Paul McCartney’s and
Micheal Jackson’s carreer and also when it
  was released (1983)
• We also thought people of this age would be
our target audience as they are the type of
people to listen to the stations which would
play our song. Such as ‘Magic’ or ‘Heart’
• Our target audience would also be lovers of
  the rock/ pop genres
• As we made more research into our target
audience through research groups and target
audience questionnaires we found that this song
is liked by a much wider audience than first
  anticipated
• We found that people of much younger ages than
we thought are fans of both the rock/ pop genre
but also lovers of Jackson’s and McCartney’s
  music
• So we concluded that are target age is pretty
much people of any age who are fans of pop
music this is understandable as the music that
these two artist created is loved around the globe
• Both our focus group and our questionnaire
proved to be worth while as it made us realise
that we have a much wider audience for our
  song than first anticipated
• We handed out our questionnaire to teachers
and pupils at our school and also to people in
  the street
• We organised our focus group out of students
  at our school
• As we found out that we have a much younger
target audience we decided to stage our video
  in a school environment
• we also decided for the video to be quite light
hearted and funso it fits with the feel of the
  song
• We staged one scene in the chapel of our
school so that the mise en scene is linked with
the lyrics “I pray, pray, pray”
• From the first viewing of our completed video
we found that we had accomplished exactly
what we set out to do. To make a light hearted
  and fun video
• Everyone who viewed the video has said that
it is very funny and worth a watch
• To reach out to our target audience we would
market the video in different mediums such as
television, posters and ads in popular
  magazines
