Female questionnaire results!
Question 2 – How old are you?
16: 3
17: 3
18: 1
19: 1
Other: 2 (both 20)

Analysis: This question was really just to ensure
that the people we were asking were our target
 audience age.
Question 3 – Any music videos you
think are particularly memorable?
 Katy Perry – TGIF
 LMFAO – sexy and I know it
 Ed Sheeran – A team
 Jason Mraz – I won’t give up
 Beyonce – single ladies

 Analysis: As these are memorable videos of our
target audience, I think I will watch all of them and
take notes of anything I think makes them
memorable that we could add into our video!
Question 4 – How would you
 describe your fashion sense?
 ‘dresses and skirts’
 ‘anything cute or preppy’
 ‘casual’
 ‘quirky, dresses, bare legs’
 ‘bright cute clothes, skirts and dresses’
 ‘smart casual, pumps or boots’
 ‘Asos, lovedress, anything bright and girly’

 Analysis: I found these answers really helpful as I have
the job role of costumes and I wasn’t too sure what to
dress the female in, but with these answers I have an
idea of what my target audience wear and so will relate
  too!
Question 5 – Which of these do you
look for in a music video?
 Romance: 2
 Dancing: 7
 Bright colours: 5
 Lip syncing: 5
 Interesting narrative: 4
 Mood matches the song: 6
 Fashionable clothing: 3
 Instruments: 0
 People your age: 4

 Analysis: Again I think this is a really helpful question, the
results assure us that we have added the correct aspects
into our music video. Although some of the results were
surprising for example I thought more people would prefer to
    see people their age.
Question 6 – What music do you
prefer listening too?
 Upbeat
 Pop
 Happy
 A mixture – mostly happy
 Rock
 Any music

 Analysis: Although we have already picked the song
we’re going to creat4e a music video for, I thought this
would be interesting to see if our target audience liked
the sort of music that we’ve picked – and they do!
Pretty much all of these answers apply to the song
    we’ve picked!
Question 7 – Have you heard ‘we intertwined –
the hush sound’? If yes do you like it?
  Yes: 1
  No: 9
  If yes do you like it;
  Yes: 1
  No:

 Analysis: Again this was just to see if our target audience
have heard our song and if they like it or not, it doesn’t
have an effect on any decisions we make as I don’t think it
matters if people have heard of the song or not. But it was
interesting to see that we’ve picked a song that lots of
   people haven’t heard of.
Question 8 – Do you prefer fast or slow
editing for upbeat, happy songs?
   Fast: 8
   Slow: 2

 Analysis: We’ve already decided that we want our
music video to be edited with a fast pace,
however there is still time to change the pace of
editing but from these results I don’t think we
   really need too!
Question 9 – Do you prefer if all the characters in music
videos are your age? Do you think you’re more likely to
relate and enjoy a video if they are your age?
 ‘Doesn’t really matter. If it’s a sad song (ie Avril Lavigne – when
you’re gone) the saddest part is seeing the old man crying.
 ‘Not really fussed with any age’
 ‘I prefer characters our age’
 ‘Its difficult to relate to people younger than us’
 ‘Probably more easy to relate to people our age’
 ‘There aren’t many videos with different ages so this should be
    done in yours’
 ‘Doesn’t bother me – it’s the video that counts’

 Analysis: There are such a huge range of answers for this, but it
seems people don’t really mind what age the characters are.

Question 2 – how old are you?
 16: 2
 17: 4
 18: 3
 19:
 Other: 1 (20)

 Analysis: Again this is just to check we are asking
 the correct target audience
Question 3 – Are there any music
videos you think are memorable?
 ‘butterfly caught – massive attack’
 ‘learn to fly – foo fighters’
 ‘King Charles – Mississippi Isabel’

 Analysis: I’ll also watch these videos and take a
few notes as to why they may be so memorable
Question 4 – How would you
describe your fashion sense?
 ‘Leather jacket’
 ‘Indie, casual’
 ‘T-shirts or polo shirts’
 ‘vans’
 ‘mainstream’
 ‘smart shirts and jeans’

 Analysis: Once again this is extremely useful to
me as it can help me decide what to ask the male
  character wear.
Question 5 – Which of these do you
look for and enjoy in a music video?
 Romance: 2
 Dancing: 3
 Bright colours: 4
 Lip syncing: 3
 Interesting narrative: 6
 Mood matches the song: 4
 Fashionable clothing: 3
 Instruments: 2
 People your age: 4

 Analysis: This is quite different to the results I got for the
females, however some are the same which is reassuring
for us as to what we’ve decided to put in our music video
Question 6 – What music do you
prefer listening too?
 ‘upbeat’
 ‘anything – rock to dubstep’
 ‘rock, alternative’
 ‘happy’

 Analysis: Like the other results this question was
just to see if our target audience liked the genre
  of music we’ve chosen!
Question 7 – Have you heard ‘we intertwined –
the hush sound’ if so do you like it?
    Yes:
    No: 10
    If yes do you like it;
    Yes:
    No:

 Analysis: Like I said this question was just out of
interest to see if our target audience had listened
     to the song before!
Question 8 – Do you prefer fast or
slow editing for happy songs?
 Fast: 9
 Slow: 1

 Analysis: This really reassures us that we’ve
made the right decision to choose fast editing for
 our music video
Question 9 – In music videos do you prefer it if the
characters are your age? Do you think you’re more
likely to relate and enjoy it if they are?
    ‘prefer people my age’
 ‘they don’t have to be exactly my age but it’s nice to be a
       similar age’
 ‘if you aim it at a particular age they might be the only
       people who buy the song’
    ‘I don’t really mind’
 ‘I don’t pay attention to the ages’
    ‘prefer characters my age’
    ‘yes or slightly older’

 Analysis: This is quite a niche answer compared the the
females, this seems as though the boys prefer to see
characters there own age – which is good as it’s what
       we’ve picked.
