• What have you learnt from your audience
feedback
Ideas from my focus group
• The image place to the left was the advertisement
page I was aiming to create. I showed my focus group
both provisional images and asked for their feedback
on which they preferred. Most people from my focus
group established that it would be better to have a
double page advert so I could fit more information on
the page, making it more spacious and not looking over
crowded. Also, by having a double page spread it meant
that I could advertise an image on one whole page. I
also had positive feedback about the image layout and
structure of the page for the second image.
• Due to the changes I was making on my advert page I
decided to make changes to all of my other products. I
made diverse changes on my font and the volume of
the text. Doing so allowed me to fit more images onto
my page. This left my product to resemble real media
products.
Further key changes
• Below, is my mock up for my contents page. I showed it to my focus group and
they didn't’t think it was at a great standard like it could be. They said it
didn't’t conform to the other pieces of production I had created. Therefore I
changed the font and the structure of the page. One reason I changed the
structure of the page was because the text was in the middle of the page
which wouldn't occur on a double page magazine
• Knowing the key factors I needed to fix upon then lead me to making sure my
production was up to standard. I knew what I needed to change to create a
good product. I then presented my final mock up to my focus group and the
feedback I was given was positive. Thus, showing the outcome was successful.
Front Cover
• At first I was told by multiple people from my focus group that it was
rather difficult to read the masthead due to the background colour of my
front cover. This lead me to changing the colour of my masthead. This
allowed it to be a lot more visible and allowed it to stand out. I made many
front page mock ups as I couldn’t decide which was best to conform to my
house style of production.
Overall
• Audience feedback has played and extremely
important role in all stages of my research,
planning, production and evaluation. This is
because their ideas and thoughts were extremely
useful and they considered for the crucial factors
of my magazine such as the layout, colour scheme,
photography etc. By having a focus group, it
allowed me to appeal to my target audience, as my
focus group was full of individuals within the range
of my target audience, it allowed me to gather
their views on what they wanted to see, and
create.

  • 2. Question 3 • What have you learnt from your audience feedback
  • 3. Ideas from my focus group • The image place to the left was the advertisement page I was aiming to create. I showed my focus group both provisional images and asked for their feedback on which they preferred. Most people from my focus group established that it would be better to have a double page advert so I could fit more information on the page, making it more spacious and not looking over crowded. Also, by having a double page spread it meant that I could advertise an image on one whole page. I also had positive feedback about the image layout and structure of the page for the second image. • Due to the changes I was making on my advert page I decided to make changes to all of my other products. I made diverse changes on my font and the volume of the text. Doing so allowed me to fit more images onto my page. This left my product to resemble real media products.
  • 4. Further key changes • Below, is my mock up for my contents page. I showed it to my focus group and they didn't’t think it was at a great standard like it could be. They said it didn't’t conform to the other pieces of production I had created. Therefore I changed the font and the structure of the page. One reason I changed the structure of the page was because the text was in the middle of the page which wouldn't occur on a double page magazine • Knowing the key factors I needed to fix upon then lead me to making sure my production was up to standard. I knew what I needed to change to create a good product. I then presented my final mock up to my focus group and the feedback I was given was positive. Thus, showing the outcome was successful.
  • 5. Front Cover • At first I was told by multiple people from my focus group that it was rather difficult to read the masthead due to the background colour of my front cover. This lead me to changing the colour of my masthead. This allowed it to be a lot more visible and allowed it to stand out. I made many front page mock ups as I couldn’t decide which was best to conform to my house style of production.
  • 6. Overall • Audience feedback has played and extremely important role in all stages of my research, planning, production and evaluation. This is because their ideas and thoughts were extremely useful and they considered for the crucial factors of my magazine such as the layout, colour scheme, photography etc. By having a focus group, it allowed me to appeal to my target audience, as my focus group was full of individuals within the range of my target audience, it allowed me to gather their views on what they wanted to see, and create.
