2. Research & Planning
To be able to conduct my Research i used Apple Macs
as both in school and home I was to access one. The
internet was my main source to be able to conduct my
research as researching from existing music videos to
exiting music labels/ The internet is a tool very useful as its
very easy and quick to access it . Without the internet i
would have not been able to produce such detailed
and presentable work such as on Blogger as if i would
have done it by paper. The common engine i used was
Google, letting me access sites such as Youtube. With
Google i was able to save time rather than wasting time
searching in different sites and be able to use a variety
of sources. Google allowed me to access information on
existing artist and allowed me n their official websites.
Using this made me successful in able to portray my artist
for my target audience.

For me the use of social networking sites which are
relatively a new source of media, contributed in my
research and planning. I used sites like Instagram to look at
how existing dance artists present themselves and their
everyday doings, clothing and props, inspirational pictures.
I also used Twitter to be able to get an idea of how artists
communicate with audience but also to look at their
lifestyles. Blogger was a main media source that I used to
be able to display all my findings but also be able to
analyse around my pictures, videos etc, I was also able to
visit past blogs from past media students blogs this helped
me a lot. To be able to do test shots for our music videos
and try out different editing shots we used Cannon DSLR
camera and Cannon HD video camera this meant we
were able to create a rich quality but we could easily
access Apple Macs to be to save the footage and edit it
using Final Pro X.

4. Construction
One of our tasks was to create an animatic using
sketches on storyboard, we took shots of it using Cannon
DSL camera and uploaded the images onto Final CutPro
to be able to sync the music with the different scenes of
our story board, creating a sequence. Final Cut Pro was
very useful, easy and efficient to use. To be able to edit
our final music video we also repeated this process using
Final Cute Pro, the software was perfect to edit, allowed
us to upload footage from different places, mix footage,
leave gaps for future footage, we were able to produce
transitions, fast pace, slow pace the footage. With all
theses pros we were able to create a professional music
video without it we wouldn’t have been able to do it.

Another stage of construction. Was to create the website for our artist,
For this I used Wix, this site was very enjoyable and easy to create the
site, I was able to look at existing templates to gain inspirations. Wix
was free and online which made it very easy for me to carry working
on it from home, school, work. It gave me the ability to apply images,
texts, links, videos, surveys and more to the website improving the
quality of it.
For the Digi Pack, Adobe Photoshop XS was used as with this we were
able to change the colour, size but also cut out any background that we
did not want and we were able to merge images together, alter them
and apply our texts such as Album Title, Artist name and Song List.
Without using Photoshop our Digi pack would have been produced very basic
and not on the level that we are capable of – professional looking product.

During the construction phase, photographs were made of
the artist to be able to have a variety of shots of her, to
use for the website and Digi pack. We used a Cannon
DSLR camera and to edit them we used Adobe
Photshop Xs to make them professional looking,
adjusting the light making the image flawless using
Gradient Blur this was a very useful tool.

7. Evaluation
To be able to present all my work in a presentable way, I
used Wix to present my 4 questions given. To answer
these questions I used Prezi, Powerpoints to be able to
access the powerpoint I uploaded it onto Slidehshare,
Edexel to present my results in bars to be easy to find
and clear, but also I filmed my audience feedback with
a Canon HD video camera and edited it with Final Cut
Pro to be able to access my footage, I also added text
with the footage, the questions were seen in the footage
to be able to make it clear. But I also used Wiz to present
one of my questions as I could upload pictures and text
all in one spot this was very useful for me.
