2. Target Audience
• The target audience of my
magazine would be around 50%
male and 50% female. And I
would aim for the age range to
be from 16-25.
• During my research earlier on
in the year, I noticed that
magazines, such as NME, are
unisex magazines, but have
aspects of the magazine that
are gender specific.
3. Research & Planning
• When I was preparing to construct my
magazine I created a online questionnaire that
was filled out by a number of people of the
public, including people of my target market.
By doing this I was able to add in their results
and ideas about how a magazine should be,
for example, price, who’s on the front, etc.
• After reading this result, I wanted to ensure
that my model on the front was
presented in a way in which the
target audience would want him.
4. Questionnaire Results
• These graphs show what I took
on board from my research
and used in the construction of
my magazine. These include,
having my genre as indie pop,
having my magazine more
similar to NME than Q
magazine. And finally, my
audience feedback said that
they would pay £3-£3.99 for an
issue, but on the front page of
my magazine, I have a special
offer, where that issue is £2.50,
which is cheaper than what my
questionnaire results came
back as.
