1. WHO WOULD BE THE AUDIENCE
FOR YOUR MEDIA PRODUCT?
Evaluation Question 4
2. ◦ Straight away I decided that I didn’t want to aim my magazine at a specific gender and so I would
attempt to use mainly neutral colours as there is an obvious gap in the market for a magazine such
as this, in addition it will then appeal to a wider, more diverse audience.
◦ Over 75% of the candidates were between 16 and 18 the remaining 25% were aged 19-23. This
meant that I could use more professional and organised designs for my front cover, contents page
and double page spread without the audience finding it dull and unappealing.
3. From the information I gathered via my
questionnaire I saw that the majority my
target audience were in
further education and used some form of
social media on a regular basis as well
as online streaming sites to listen to
their music.
My typical audience member would
listen to indie/pop rock and have an
interest in fashion as well as wanting to
keep up to date on current affairs (eg.
World news), my questionnaire results
showed me that although most of my
audience are exceedingly focused on
their education, most audience members
enjoy going to the cinema with friends,
shopping and reading the majority have
a part time job which enables them to
buy/listen to their music online via
iTunes or Spotify.
4. From the results gained through my audience
questionnaire I was able to create an audience
profile that accurately represented the type of
person I was aiming my magazine at. From this I
was able to make my magazine and include all of
the necessary conventions needed to appeal to my
niche audience
