This document summarizes the key design choices made for a magazine media product. The target audience was identified as people interested in R&B music, based on survey responses. To appeal to this audience, the magazine was designed to have a bright, colorful style similar to other popular R&B magazines. It would be released monthly to allow for more content. Efforts were made to make the front cover and artist photos visually appealing through editing. Popular R&B artists were featured to attract readers, and exaggerated language was used in articles to generate hype and excitement around the artists. The overall goal was to create a magazine that would catch the target audience's attention through its visual presentation and coverage of trending music topics.

Targeting R&B Fans with an Exclusive Music Magazine
1. Who would be the audience for your media
product?
To attract my audience, I tried to make my magazine like other
popular R&B magazines.
This was to ensure that my product was current and trendy by
making my background contrastingly bright and sticking to some
amount of colours that suit eachother.I went with the criteria that I
got from my questionnaires, such as people wanting the price to be
£2-£3. Target audience also chose to have the magazine to have
them monthly more than weekly so I made sure that my product
Only came out monthly, therefore the magazine could pack in more
qualitative and quantitative information.
For my magazine, I made sure that the front cover I tried to make
sure that it looked attractive enough. I included interviews which
were the answer I got from my questionnaire; I also tried to make
sure that the image of my artist looked better by increasing the hue,
saturation and vibrancy. Before I edited the image, the artist looked
washed out because of the lighting. Music artists are seen to be
flawless when it comes to appearances, so I whitened the teeth and
airbrushed the skin to make it look more appealing. For my contents
page, I hoped that to make it look attractive that I put down one
image that would hopefully attract the audience.
The features that I used were popular R&B artists that would attract
the target audience, I used hefty words like 'EXCLUSIVE' to make it
seem like the interview is specifically to my magazine. Lastly for my
2. double page spread, I used a lot of exaggerated language so that the
hype of the artist would excite the reader. I used complex, long and
simple type of sentences so that this may show that the artist’s
music of being fast and give the article more smoothness. Thus I
wanted my objective to be for the target audience to be on the edge
of his seat and have good presentational features so that it would be
eye catchy.
