2. I attracted my audience by a range of features in my
magazine.
Language : I used mainly formal language to address my
audience as I believed it was the best way to grab there
attention i did this because as I was doing my research on
Front cover R&B magazines I noticed that most R&B
magazines included formal language this relates back to
the R&B genre it is classy and sophisticated they appear
serious. I used speech marks in order to grab the attention
of my readers because it would attract them to read more
about what this particular writing is saying , the speech
marks i believe emphasises the importance of the quote .
However my double page spread article includes various
punctuation example the headline "BACK TO ATTACK !”
includes a exclamation mark this attracts my audience
because it allows them to realize that this must be an
important piece of text it will make them want to read
more of the article

4. Font : I have used 4different types of font for my
music magazine .
The font I have used for my front cover masthead is
a font style call “ Sean's handwriting” I got it from
the website ‘DAFONT’ , I used this font because it
looked very appealing and feminine for my target
audience which are females and I thought that the
masthead defines the sassiness of females R&B artist
and the R&B genre itself .The reason I used this font
was so that my audience are attracted to it straight
away and that they agree that it is unique and
different . I text I used was big bold so that it stands
out and contrast against my white background. For
my contents page I used the Freestyle script
Photoshop font and Adobe gramco pro font
because I believed that it would add a bit of
creativity and that it will catch the attention of the
readers the text is also bold and bright Gold so it will
contrast against the white background well it will
stand out .The gold writing connotes the
fabulousness of the R&B Genre and the female
artists .

6. Images- The images I have used should engage the audience
because i have used models which are teenagers which is the
same age as part of my target audience 16-21 year olds. My
models are looking at the camera directly this allows the
audience to engage with her well and feel welcomed to read
more about my magazine .The image of my front cover is a mid
shot it allows the audience to analyze the models mise en
scene make up , hair and costume they will feel attracted with
my magazine because they will be able to relate to how she's
dressed because my target audiences have interest in fashion
I know this because of my audience profile data , My magazine
is about music but it includes some qualities of fashion . The
main image and contents page image allow the audience to
known what kind of genre I'm portraying and what the
magazine is about because of the mise en scene present :
specifically the makeup and costumes R&B females like to
dress flashy and glamorous which you can see form my front
cover but also they like to dress classy and sophisticated which
you can also see in my contents page image. Also my images
are big and large which will stand out and attract the audience
more.

8. Contents : The contents in my magazine is from the
feedback I got from my group of people who
answered my questions on how to improve my
magazine . I have included a exclusive interview with
a well known and loved R&B artist I have also
included make up tips and fashion wear something I
believe that my target audience will be interested in
since they are music lovers females and stylish
individuals, and also I have included a section for
females only “ LADIES BE YOU” a section were the
females can relate to well and feel engage with what
they are reading. I included this because it will attract
my target audience because they are females and
they will feel comfortable about learning something
which is only targeted out for them. In addition to this

10. I think I have been very successful at targeting my target
audience because I have referred back to my
questionnaire a multiple of times I have edited my drafts
and I’ve chosen my images carefully I've selected images
that will be suitable for my magazine and images that I'm
sure will attract the audience .I've chosen to keep my
magazine similar to my drafts because the feed back I got
was mainly about me adding or keeping things in my
magazine the same example : including 3 colours black
gold and white as a colour scheme throughout the
magazine but adding pink and red as an extra for some
bits . I decided to keep the masthead as it was,
throughout the magazine. I included my masthead on
every single page so that the readers don't forget what
magazine they are reading and that it emphasises the
exclusiveness of my magazine .

12. I kept the focus of the female magazine very consistent
throughout the process of my music magazine by looking
back at my questionnaire example my masthead the
name “ Sensation” was used because I thought that it
defines the females of R&B and also it is a very sassy and
unique name for a magazine it relates well with the
female vibe . The questionnaire allowed me to pick a
suitable font for my masthead that would be suitable and
attractive for my target audience who are females. I chose
a female model as my front cover because even though
the magazine is based generally on females a male may be
attracted to it because the model looks attractive or may
just like her a singer.

14. Layout :My magazine layout I believe attracts
the audience in different ways ,such as my banner
it is situated right across the top of the page ( front
cover ) which catches the attention of the reader
because it is written in bold black capitals letters
and contrasts well with the white background .The
large front cover image will attract the audience to
the magazine as it is loud and in your face you can
not miss it , is a close shot that reveals everything
that will allow you to guess what genre my
magazine is ( make up hair and costume) . The
article in my double page spread consists of
columns so that the page looks neat and so that the
audience have no difficulties reading around it . My
double page spread article includes two images
which are located in different places the full image
is situated right of page and the second image is
situated bottom right of the page . I have placed my
images in different places because where they are
situated links with the text and what is being said ,
this will make the audience feel at ease and make
more sense of the double page spread article.

16. My audience research helped me organise my magazine and work on it
more because the feedback I got back allowed me to make sure that my
magazine was directly aimed at females only and of people who have
interests like the ones listed in my audience profile data . Example my
questionnaire results made me use the colours Gold black and white as my
colour scheme each colour has a meaning and links back to the genre and the
females as well. I used the questionnaire to determine how I'm going to
target the audience , I noticed that the questionnaire results had a big impact
on my magazine because I was only able to included what I was sure will
attract my target audience I had to look back at my plan and limit some ideas
that were on my drafts example number of sell lines for my drafts I included
too many so I had to take some out . The feedback from those who answered
my questionnaire about the good ideas on my front cover said that the
articles included and sell lines were good and i should keep them but doing
further research on R&B magazines and other genre magazines i noticed that
there weren't too many sell lines included on the front cover so i took this
information onboard and improved my front cover .
