This document summarizes a study that evaluated two methods for estimating age at death using dental analysis: Kilian's method and Kashyap and Koteswara Rao's method. 63 teeth were histologically examined and scored based on six dental markers related to aging. Regression analysis found that Kilian's method, which uses subjective scoring, produced a more accurate age estimation with a mean error of 4.97 years compared to 8.32 years for Kashyap and Koteswara Rao's quantitative method. Identification tables were also created using Kilian's method to classify individuals into broad age categories with a mean error of 6.58 years.
