This document summarizes a GIS-based approach to identify potential areas in Tanzania to target distribution of the improved tick-borne disease vaccine, ITM. The analysis estimated the number and location of cattle that could benefit from ITM vaccination based on factors like ECF prevalence, cattle populations, and breed type. Key regions with the highest potential demand for ITM were identified as Northern, Lake, Central and Southern Highland areas of Tanzania, though demand is dispersed. The results provide initial guidance for targeting ITM vaccine distribution networks, but limitations around data availability mean the analysis could be improved over time.
