Essays On Learning Styles
Crafting an essay on the subject of "Essays on Learning Styles" can prove to be a multifaceted
task, challenging the writer to delve into various aspects of educational psychology, cognitive
science, and pedagogy. The difficulty lies not only in the extensive research required but also in
the need to present a cohesive narrative that effectively communicates the nuances of different
learning styles.
To begin with, one must explore the diverse learning modalities, such as visual, auditory,
kinesthetic, and read/write, and understand how individuals engage with information differently.
Analyzing scholarly articles, psychological studies, and educational theories becomes paramount
to substantiate arguments and provide a well-rounded perspective. The synthesis of these sources
demands a keen analytical mind and the ability to discern key insights.
Furthermore, addressing the practical implications of learning styles in various educational
settings adds an additional layer of complexity. Discussing how educators can tailor their
teaching methods to accommodate different learning preferences requires a deep understanding
of pedagogical strategies and the ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical
applications.
The challenge intensifies when attempting to strike a balance between academic rigor and
accessibility for a broader audience. The essay should be informative yet engaging, catering to
readers with varying levels of familiarity with the topic. Achieving this balance necessitates a
refined writing style and the ability to articulate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
Editing and revising also become crucial steps in the writing process. Ensuring a seamless flow
of ideas, coherence between paragraphs, and adherence to academic conventions demands
meticulous attention to detail. The writer must navigate through the intricacies of structure,
grammar, and citation styles to produce a polished and academically sound essay.
In conclusion, composing an essay on learning styles requires a comprehensive understanding of
diverse fields, ranging from psychology to education. It demands rigorous research, critical
thinking, and effective communication skills to navigate through the complexities of the topic.
While challenging, the process offers an opportunity for intellectual growth and the development
of a nuanced perspective on the intricacies of how individuals learn.

Mental Disorders Research Paper
The Importance of Mental Disorders Throughout history, those with mental
disorders have been revered as deities for their unusual mindset, or have been
viewed with revulsion and fear. Since the founding of the United Nations in October
of 1945, the concept of mental health and hygiene have gained international
acceptance. ( Mental Hygiene ) Acceptance is the key word. Though mental
disorders have become a more observed and better treated medical condition, the
public has yet to span the final gap of treating these patients as what they are, human
beings. We need to increase our understanding and alter our perception of mental
disorders so we can move towards a supportive society in which we are not afraid,
but open and accepting. Becoming comfortable... Show more content on

Many types of disorders are accurately represented, rather than one side character
that has a small stint with depression. Of course the Mad Hatter shows signs of
bipolar disorder and Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, but Alice herself shows signs
of schizophrenia, dream anxiety disorder, and psychosis. Other mental disorders
such as narcissistic personality disorder, perfectionism, and general anxiety
disorder are represented. ( The Psychology Within Alice in Wonderland ) Silver
Linings Playbook is also another work that has been recognised as a wonderful
portrayal of mental disorders. Jennifer Lawrence, one of the leads and an Academy

Why Is Fighting In Ice Hockey Essay
Why is Fighting Allowed in Ice Hockey?
The frequent fighting tradition in the armature and professional Ice Hockey has been
a part of the sport for many centuries and the fans love it when individuals or teams
fight. Contrary to popular belief, fighting is punishable in the game although
tolerated. The fines are minor, commonly five minutes out of the game. This situation
is different in other sports where fighting attracts suspension, ejection, and huge fines.
The fighting culture in Ice Hockey goes by the name the code in what officials say is
allowing the game to police itself by making somebody pay the consequences of
doing something bad. Some fights are light while others are serious and lead to
spilling of blood and harm to body parts. Since the early 1900s, fighting in the sport
has been on the decline as the game develops and more rules are put in place to
protect players.
History
From the beginning of the sport, fighting became inevitable because of its
competitive nature, player s emotions, and the equipment s they use. There are
different reasons given as to why fighting occurs, including lack of rules during the
early development of the sport and crime and poverty in Canadian neighborhoods
where the sport developed. The inclusion of the blue lines in 1918 that allowed
forward passing in the neutral zone increased physical play that further favored
fighting, in ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Other reasons may be personal like bad blood between players, revenge, or even an
enforcer s need to keep his job. Enforcers have no official role, but they play in shifts
like all the other players, however, their primary role is to prevent opposing players
not to play rough. They also deter excessive physical play from the opposing team s
pests and they also go by the name goons.

Rappaccini s Daughter, By Susanna Rowson
Literature has historically been a means of passing traditions down, providing
entertainment, inspiring creative ideas, and transferring knowledge through several
generations. In society, literature can be embraced for its innovation or condemned
for the values it intently expresses against societal, political, and even religious
views. Social criticism in literature is meant to directly or subtly call out the flaws in
the social structure in an attempt to create awareness or evoke reforms. Many literary
works invent characters who either gladly embrace gender and sexuality norms or are
predisposed to them and live unconsciously, but are ultimately ruined in the end as a
means to show the issue with definitive terms that categorize individuals. In 1791,
British American novelist Susanna Rowson published her novelCharlotte Temple in
England, and later it published in 1794 in the United... Show more content on

The story describes the life of a young woman who is engineered into romantically
falling in love with the soldier John Montraville and eloped to America with him.
Leaving behind her family and morals that she grew up on, Charlotte Temple faces
struggles and hard times as she is ultimately abandoned in a new country. American
gothic novelist Nathaniel Hawthorne created the short story Rappaccini s Daughter in
1844, and it depicts a young student, Giovanni Guasconti, and his travels to Italy for
school. Living next to a discrete scientist whose daughter tends to the garden in their
backyard, Giovanni investigates the beautiful creature to find that she had been
converted to a science experiment by her father s doing. These two works

criticize societal gender roles set for females and the hypersexualized nature that

Blood Spatter Investigation Essay
Introduction: For my Mathematics Internal Assessment, I focused on how the
diameter of a blood droplet was affected by the height in which they were shot at.
When I watch criminal shows, they always estimate a person s height by the way
blood is spread out and I wondered if the diameter of a droplet really did change
with the height where they were shot at, and if it was an effective method of
presuming the height where the victim was hit at the time they were shot. This
topic has always interested me as when I was younger, I wanted to be a forensic
scientist and the way they solved crimes always intrigued me. Specifically, the way
they conducted tests at the crime scene such as blood spatter analysis. My aim is to
find how related the height of the bullet entry is with the diameter of a blood
droplet, and by doing that I will have to conduct my own experiment as there is no
data for what I want to do. By the end I hope to... Show more content on

This is because, I did not choose a droplet at random, but rather I would choose one
that fit best with how the experiment was going. This was also because many of the
droplets that occurred were too small to get a result from and it would result in the
same diameter for them in each different height I tried. Graph 1.1 Graph to show
the list of points I obtained from my results From these results I plotted a graph,
which I expected would give me a quadratic equation, however the shape I got was
not exactly a curve. As such, I approached it a different way and used piecewise
function, which is a function defined by multiple sub functions, each sub function
applying to a certain interval of the main function s domain. To calculate a linear
equation for x values 10 to 90 cm and a quadratic equation from x values 90 to 190

Moving Out On My Own Essay
People often hear or maybe seen on the news of houses being broken into. We do
our best to protect ourselves and our families from the unenviable happening. We
have locks, we purchase alarm systems and other forms of defense to keep
strangers out and our possessions in. When I woke up on Tuesday, April 6th,
2011, I never imagined someone would come inside of my home and ramble
through my things and take from me whatever they wanted. If I could have seen
into the future, I would attempt to change the minds of the guys who broke into
my apartment. Moving out on my own was a very scary task. I finally made up my
mind to obtain a place for my daughter and myself; I was twenty five years old.
Previously, I was living with my mother and father... Show more content on

Nana s house. After packing what I felt was important and securing the backdoor
as well as we could, we left and went back to my mom s house. The next day I
called the owner and told him I was moving back home. I felt defeated and taken
advantage of. Not taken advantage of by the owner, but just in general, by life. I
asked the two neighbors closest to me if they had notice anyone around my place
the day before, but no one saw anything. The elderly man that was normally sitting
outside by his fence was at the hospital with his wife all day. The male who lived
directly next door stated he worked all night so he was sleeping the majority of the
day. So we packed what was left of our items and just like that we were back home,
back in my childhood room. We were going back to where we felt secure and
protected. It was a short experience, but it showed me how looks can be deceiving
and sometimes we don t always make the right choices at the right time. I felt so

It should be noted that public companies have more stringent disclosure and reporting
requirements than private companies. The Act plays a significant role in controlling
disclosure through remuneration report and voting on remuneration for listed
companies. Moreover, the Act also has provisions relating to the role, responsibilities
and structure of boards and termination payments. Under the Act, the managing
director is appointed by the board of directors and the composition of the managing
director s remuneration package is also decided by the board of directors. The
disclosure of executive remuneration helps in reassuring investors that the board is
negotiating with executives at arm s length which means that all documentation,
terms and other arrangements associated with the transaction are as if they would be
had an external unrelated party been involved in the transaction. The disclosure of
remuneration packages makes the investors aware about the incentives being laid
down for the executives, which in turn could assist them assess the company s
prospects and risk profile, such that the share price more accurately signals the
market s assessment of the stream of expected profits. Thus, an increase in
confidence of investors and the proper disclosure of all the relevant information
would be beneficial to the company and hence would result in greater market

Symbols In Anthony Doerr s All The Light We Cannot See
The novel All The Light We Cannot See, was written by Anthony Doerr. The novel
was set during World War Two era and features two parallel stories with characters
from opposite points of view. Doers tells the story of how both characters grow up
through adversity and how they overcome their personal struggles. Marie Laure is
one of the main characters. She goes blind and has to learn how to navigate life
alone after he father leaves her in the care of her Uncle Etienne. Werner, the second
main character, overcame being an orphan and makes a life decision based upon his
worst fear. Both characters, though living separate but parallel lives, share similar life
experiences that are connected with numerous symbolic objects. Throughout the novel
Doerr uses symbolic objects to create a connection for the reader between Werner
and Marie Laure. Doerr s use of this method to bridge the characters together is
done so with the use of several items such as the radio, shells and mollusks, 20,000
Leagues Under the Sea and the Sea of Flames.
The radio was a major symbol throughout the novel. It played a large role in
Werner and Marie Laure s lives. It was because of the radio that brought the two
together. The radio symbolizes the connection that it give to the people of the
world. In All the Lights We Cannot See, radios were illegal. They were illegal
because it gave people the ability to communicate with allies in hopes of rebelling
against the Nazis. The people saw this as a chance to
Analysis Of Edgar Allan Poe s I Became Insane, With...
As stated by Edgar Allen Poe, a prominent gothic author, I became insane, with long
intervals of horrible sanity (Poe). Gothic authors were known for writing about
insanity, but also becoming insane themselves. Poe was one of the authors that were
known for becoming insane after writing about it for so long. Gothic period authors
use terror and horror throughout novels, as well. Gothic literature was written in the
late eighteenth and early nineteenth century. American Gothicism adapted the writing
techniques and from European Gothicism. American authors adapted plots from
others and made them into their own. The movement began by writing about the
terrifying Indians of the frontier (Snodgrass 1). Gothic literature draws on a
combination of terror and romanticism as its foundation. Movement authors
incorporated more psychological aspects into the novels instead of peaceful aspects.
Edgar Allan Poe, Herman Melville and Nathaniel Hawthorne are influential authors of
the movement. The authors incorporate the unique qualities of gothic literature in
their works. In particular, Gothic period author Charles Brockden Brownincorporates
the two characteristics of insanity and an atmosphere of mystery in his novels
Wieland and Edgar Huntley.
Undoubtedly, Gothicism was meant to focus on the darker side of human nature
(Gothic Literature). This literary movement began from authors that believed the
novels in the transcendentalism movement were too optimistic. The readers became
Stress Management Paper
Stress Management
Lyndsey Brady
November 19, 2017
Stress is something that most people do not think of as something that affects their
physical health. In an anatomy class that I am taking I was able to learn about the
hormone cortisol which is the hormone that helps us handle stress. There is a
downside to cortisol though, and this is that it inhibits our immune system and
enhances our chances of getting sick. This is why when you are really stressed for
a big exam, presentation, etc. you start to feel sick because your cortisol is
working overtime to compensate for the extra stress thus leading to a less efficient
immune system. Stress can also cause other wear and tear on your body, too
(Krantz, Thorn, Kiecolt Glaser, 2013). According to the American Psychological
Association stress may cause disease, low decision making abilities, depression
and an increased risk of coronary disease (Krantz, Thorn, Kiecolt Glaser, 2013). This
is why taking a look at our lives and thinking about our stress level should be a
priority in our lives so that we can be as mentally and physically healthy as possible.
According to the Holmes and Rahe Stress Scale I have a stress level of 390. This
score is interpreted to mean that I have a high or very high risk of becoming ill in
the near future (Holmes Rahe, 1967). This correlates with what I said above about
how stress is a major factor in causing illness, whether it be a simple cold or
eventually lead to more

Online Marketing Strategies For Restaurants
Online Marketing Strategies for Restaurants
Restaurant customers search for restaurants on their phones, receive marketing
messages digitally, use the Internet for customer service and research restaurants by
reading online restaurant reviews. People place carryout and delivery orders online,
buy eCommerce products from restaurant websites and look for restaurant menus
online. If you re not engaged in online marketing, your restaurant won t be visible to
most customers, even if they re walking by your business but with their eyes glued to
their phone screens.
Eight Online Marketing Ideas
The following techniques will give you a strong working platform to launch all types
of online marketing campaigns, engage customers and prospects more effectively and
build a strong Internet presence.
1. Build a Mobile Website
Your most important step for online marketing is building a website that adjusts for
any device automatically. Responsive websites make it easier for people to find
information on their phones. Your website should be easy to navigate for customers
and easily updated by you, an administrator from your staff or a third party hosting,
designing or consulting company.
2. Post Your Menu Online
Your menu is your second most valuable Internet marketing resource. Restaurants
spent thousands of dollars to post their menus in yellow page directories in past
decades (and many still do), but you can now post your menu often for free or at
little cost where people can
Marketing Strategy For Sweet Tea, And Unsweetened Iced
Tea
There are times when I simply cannot decide between sweetened iced tea, and
unsweetened iced tea, but offering me a third option (that is most similar to one of
the sweetened levels for example, Вј sweet tea mixed with Вѕ unsweet) to aid my
decision making process has been a well documented marketing strategy for years.
Introducing a decoy (or dominated alternative) helps consumers narrow their focus on
the simpler choice. However, choosing sweet teamay involve giving up the fewer
calorie healthier for me option found in the unsweet tea, and this can cause
conflicts in my process that result in an absence of the decoy s intended benefit.
Choosing the sort of iced beverage I consume on a hot day has little significance
compared to the sort of person I deem approachable enough to get into a car with.
How does a dominated alternative fair in the world of approachability? Based on
just a photo, and knowing relatively nothing about the person you are looking at,
would a third option help you lean in favor of one or the other?
Research on the decoy effect (asymmetrical dominance, or attraction effect) has held
its own in the world of marketing for the last three decades. Huber, Payne, and Puto
(1982) demonstrated that the choices people make between a target, and a
competitive option, can be swayed toward choosing the target, when an
inconsequential third option (that is over shadowed by the target) is added to the
choice set. Huber et al., designed their study to demonstrate
Bigotry And Prejudice Similarities
Prejudice and bigotry are similar in ways of singling out a group of people and
disliking them. In history prejudice has escalated quickly into wars, most notable of
such would be, world war II (Hitler s concentration camps) and the American Civil
war (battle for slave freedom in the U.S.) Anybody is capable of being prejudice, the
battle of prejudice has been around as long as we have documentation for.
Prejudice is even found in the Bible, when the Hebrews were being held as slaves
in Egypt and Moses came in leading them to the promise land of Jerusalem.
Prejudice is caused by the stereotyping of a group of people without getting to know
them. One could link this to sociocultural psychology, because they are basing their
hatred to a certain
Early Childhood Education And Care
Early childhood education and care is defined as the educational programs and
strategies geared towards children from birth to the age of eight, these cover both
prior to school learning and the early years of primary school (Ailwood, Boyd,
Theobald 2016).
Early childhood settings are often known to be long day cares, occasional care,
family day care, preschools and kindergartens (Early Years Learning Framework
2009 page 8). These environments are safe, caring, welcoming environments that
promote learning in a child s mind by encouraging the use of real life scenarios.
Lev Vygotsky observed this in his own daughter, he once said that play is defined by
the presence of an imaginary situation, where children change the meaning of actions
and subjects to give them a new sense (Colliver and Fleer 2016).
In education pedagogy s today, there are many theories that are involved in the way
we teach children every day. Theorists such as Doctor Maria Montessori, Howard
Gardner, Erik Ericson and Burrhus Frederic (B.F) Skinner have influenced modern
day education and the standard curriculum by introducing and encouraging their
theories, theories such as operant conditioning by B.F Skinner, or Howard Gardner s
theory of the multiple intelligences. Each of these play their own roles in every
classroom in the form of teaching plans and disciplinary methods.
Focusing on the concept of cognitive development and how it relates with play based
learning, research shows that play can be
The Theory Of The Mind Body Dualism
RenГ© Descartes was a French mathematician, scientist, and philosopher of the 16th
Century, who, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica, was one of the first to
abandon scholastic Aristotelianism and created the first version of the modern mind
body dualism or emotion (Encyclopedia Britannica). Born on March 31, 1596, he
was dubbed as the Father of Modern Philosophy. His theory on the mindbody
dualism, also known as Cartesian Dualism, created a stem of the modern problem of
the relationship between the mind and body. He created the early version to further
explain the interaction of the mind and body, to create a firm foundation that can be
explained through science and to prove the existence and goodness of God, and how
the soulcould be immortal.
Along with that, he mentioned that the mind is different from the body. One of the
basic thesis of his Cartesian Dualism is that a mental substance cannot have a
physical form, and that said physical form cannot have experiences , for the mind
and body cannot function without the other (Chin Tai Kim 337). In his Cartesian
Dualism, RenГ© Descartes believes that every human being possesses a body and
mind (Nath 1). Though, there are some philosophers who might have agreed,
disagreed or criticized about his theory.
Philosophers such as Gilbert Ryle, critiqued about the Descartes Cartesian Dualism,
for he believes that the principle of Descartes Dualism theory is not valid enough
and full of problems. He called Descartes s

Wireless Communications: Explosive Growth.
Explosive growth of wireless communications technology continues as the industry
experiences new subscribers and lower prices for services. The U.S. market had
100 million wireless subscribers in year 2000, a 16.2 percent rise from 1999 of 86
million. In 1993, there were only 16 million wireless subscribers, a rise of 525
percent rise in subscribers over 7 years. Market penetration rose 33 percent in 2000.
In 1993, market penetration was only 6 percent. The explosive growth can largely be
attributed to intensive competition which forces prices down and increase cellular
phone usage. In fact, the market for wireless voice services is becoming mature.
Growth rates and heavy competition are restricting profit margins.
The U.S. telecommunications services industry will continue to expand in 2001. The
popularity of wireless phones has increased the demand for wireless cellular telephone
service and reduced the demand for in building wired phones. Approximately 50

State and Church Essay examples
Christopher Columbus and Cabeza de Vaca were two known adventurers, one being
an explorer and the other as a treasurer. Both men had great reputations, which led to
positions of high status. Cabeza de Vaca became the treasurer on an expedition to
explore the Gulf coast as a young nobleman and Christopher Columbus went on many
expeditions to explore landsof treasure and jewels of all sorts. Both men explored in
a time in which the lands were controlled by church and state and because of this,
pressure of enormous amountswere placed on the shoulders of these men. The
misfortunesthese men encountered on their expeditions led them to choose a side in
which they tried to disguise their true outcomes. Cabeza de Vaca and Christopher

Cabeza de Vaca shows that he could not have retaliated or even injured them because
they were hidden in places where they could not be seen.
As Cabeza de Vaca continues, his encounters seemingly becomes harsher and he
starts to relate these outcomes to God. Cabeza de Vaca also relates the losses to
not only the surprising attack of the Indians and their camouflage within the
surroundings but also to weaponry they used and the way they used them, The
bows they use are as thick as the arm, of eleven or twelve palms in length, which
they will discharge at two hundred paces with so great precision that they miss
nothing (pg.131). In chapter eight of Cabeza de Vaca log is where you start to see
the experiences are in the name of God. Cabeza de Vaca starts to describe the land
and the troubles of it including the harsh conditions of resources not being
available, I cease here to relate more of this, because any one may suppose what
would occur in a country so remote and malign, so destitute of all resources,
whereby either to live in it or go out of it; but most certain assistance is in God,
Distal Radius Fracture Essay
Diagnosis Fractured distal radius and ulna
Etiology:
The primary cause of a fracture is trauma from car accidents, sports injuries and falls.
The trauma may be a direct blow to the bone or an indirect force from muscle
contractions or pulling on the bone. Other factors that may contribute to fractures
include: vigorous exercise, malnutrition, genetic factors, and osteoporosis. The most
common cause of a distal radius fracture is falling onto an outstretched arm
(Ignatavicius Workman, 2013). Wrist fractures of the distal radius are common and
may present special problems for the surgeon and therapist. There are several
categories of distal radius fractures, but the Colles fracture of the distal radius is the
most common injury to the wrist and may result in limitations in wrist flexion and
extension, as well as forearm pronation and supination, resulting from the
involvement of the distal radioulnar joint (Early, p.613).
Signs and Symptoms:
The signs and symptoms of a distal radial and ulnar fracture could include: pain,
edema, contractures, deformity, protruding bone, and decreased sensation. In addition,

The Between God And God
Trinity. It is a very simple word to say, only seven letters, and three syllables, but one
of the most confusing, interesting, and controversial concepts in this world that we
live in. How can something be three separate things, with three separate missions,
helping us in three separate ways, all three being just as mysterious to us, but still be
one thing? Christianityis monotheistic, therefore we only believe in on God, but
this one God has three separate but equal parts to it? If we say that there is only the
Father, God, we are wrong, because the Father has a Son, sends his one and only son
to the earth and sends the Holy Spiritto us, but these three persons are the same? Does
this mean that the Father God has himself, sends his one... Show more content on

MacEwan describes the Trinity in a way that God can be viewed in three different
ways, viewed at through three different windows and mean something different to
everyone based on the relationship with God they have or the way they need God
to be to them at that time. The first way is how God is our Father. He is our Father
because He is the creator, the one who started everything, the one with parental
love, the one that we will end with at the end of our time on Earth in Heaven.
Although this can be difficult for some to look at God like a parent because of the
difficult relationship they have with their own, this must be looked past because
he is like the perfect, loving parent we all wish to have. The second way of viewing
God is being the Son. This is the relating aspect of the Trinity. We are able relate to
the Son because He is just like us, God was put into flesh and He went through
everything that we went through. He struggled like us and had to fight with sin,
but then conquered it. The Son is the one who loves us as a companion, as a fellow
human being, as one who shares our circumstances, who is gracious, whose love is
forgiving and healing, reconciling and peace giving. (TS) The final way of viewing
God is the Holy Spirit. God as the Holy Spirit is like the clear pane window that
helps us see God
Essay on Guns in the Cockpit
Guns in the Cockpit
On the morning of September 11, 2001, four airplanes were hijacked and two of
them, brought the collapse of the World Trade Center towers in New York City. As a
result of these attacks on the United States, airports have come to the realization that
the only way to prevent another hijacking is by strengthening the security on aircrafts
through the cockpit. In order to secure the cockpit and ensure the safety of the
passengers on board, guns were introduced as a possible solution in the event of an
emergency situation like those that took place in September of 2001.
The Transportation Security Administration head John Magaw, announced the
administrations position that they are against guns in cockpits and a pilot ... Show

When the craft was in the air, the terrorists took the initiative and stormed into the
cockpit and took over the controls, turning the aircraft into a guided missile (CBS
1). Increasing security immediately became an important aspect of airports shortly
there after. Adequate security ensures the safety of the people in the air and
citizens on the ground below. It is expected by passengers, that they are boarding a
craft that will land safely at their intended destination. An aircraft should be a safe
place for everyone and even though every person that enters the airport goes
through the required security checkpoints, there is a small fraction of error.
Someone will get by with a potential weapon and board the plane along with it;
therefore, the captains should have some form of a rear view mirror (Press 2). One
of the many proposals made since the attacks is installing video cameras in the cabin
to monitor passenger activity for any possible terrorist actions. A pilot should be
aware of what is happening to the plane and the passengers on board at all times.
In a situation where someone is trying to hijack an airplane, there are three factors
needed to be assessed. Does the terrorist have a weapon, are they attacking alone,
and is he or she a trained fighter in the case of a Federal Air Marshal interfering
(APSA 2)? In the incident of the World Trade Centerattacks, the

Abstract
Corporate social responsibility is a crucial factor for corporations to build
sustainability of their business process that will help to create shared values for
companies and society. Iraq is one of the most countries in the world that needs this
kind of sustainability to build and reform the infrastructure economically and socially.
But, unfortunately, the facts on the ground are quite the opposite, and these
corporations got affected by the corruption that has been eroding the country for
years. In this study I will try to spot the light on how these companies have been
profiting in Iraq and escaping their social responsibilities, also how can the
stakeholders influence the financial performance of these enterprises. I will explain
about (Zain Iraq) and how it is doing a good job comparing it to other big
corporations in the country. Will suggest five ways in which the primary stakeholders
can influence the financial performance of the company.
This report will also explain about one of the main controversial social concern
associated with this company.

economically culturally, as well as strengthening the unification of the empire. Sui
Yangdi also finished the construction of the Great Wall, which is one of the largest
building projects ever undertaken. During his reign, Sui Yangdi also embarked on
many military conquests in order to extend his empire. He was able to expand his
empire north into Inner Asia and south to present day Vietnam. His conquests against
Japan, though, ended disastrously with the Chinese people rebelling against him ,
and eventually he was assassinated in 618 C.E. which brought the empire to an end.
The fall of the once powerful Sui dynasty after Sui Yangdi s death further proves how

Having a baby is the most important factor of a marriage in India. A man tells the
couple the story of the God Balarama. It included an embryo being put into another
womb, just like embryo implantation today. They then take a trip to Hyderabad,
where there is an infertility clinic. The couple mention that they are going to keep
trying until someone tells them it s not possible for them to get pregnant. In India,
they are allowed to take place in embryo implantation. Nilandri explains that his
mother always did the housework, so he decided to marry with the condition that
his wife won t work so that she can do the housekeeping. Jhuma says that she
wanted to work, but once she got married, her husband wouldn t let her. She says
that if she had a child, that wouldn t be a problem because she d be busy being a
mother. Jhuma had the idea of adoption, but Nilandri doesn t want that because then
people will talk about how the child isn t theirs and then there will be more questions
and judgments. Once they get to the clinic in Hyderabad, Jhuma just wants to know
what her specific problem is on why she isn t conceiving. The doctor tells her that

Striving for Authentic Happiness Essays
Globalization and the development of technology have provided people with more
opportunities to do whatever they want. Because of the choices, people seem to be
happier to make their own choices. However, Martin E.P. Seligman, the author of
Authentic Happiness, would argue that they are not happy because that kind of
happinessdoes not last long. In his book, Seligman explains that there are two kinds
of happiness, pleasureand gratification. He says, [t]he pleasures are delights that have
clear sensory and strong emotional components, what philosophers call raw feels :
ecstasy, thrills, orgasm, delight, mirth, exuberance, and comfort. They are evanescent,
and they involve little, if any, thinking (102). As he shows, pleasure is... Show more

According to him, gratification is a key for people to have a good life. However,
Seligman explains, [g]ratification dispels self absorption, and the more one has the
flow that gratification produces, the less depressed one is (119). Although it is clear
that people need gratification more than pleasures, he points out that [t]o start the
process of eschewing easy pleasures and engaging in more gratifications is hard
(119). This difficulty of attaining gratification might make people to choose pleasure
rather than gratification. Thus, according to Seligman s definitions of happiness, it
is easier for humans to seek pleasure rather than to seek gratification. In The
Psychology of Globalization , Jeffery Jensen Arnett illustrates that young people
focus on self longer by extending adulthood. Arnett notes, in global culture, people
value on individualism, free market economics, and democracy and include freedom
of choice, individual rights, openness to change, and tolerance of differences (779).
Arnett argues that globalization, especially increasing the number of choices and
allowing people to have freedom of choices affect each individual s psychological
functioning. He points out, [w]hen people are allowed to make their own choices
about values, love, and work, the likelihood may be enhanced that they will find a
Muscular System Lab Report
Introduction:
The muscular system has important functions within the human body. This system is
responsible for the movement of limbs, food and liquid, as well as the maintenance of
body heat. Muscles are distinctly known for their extensibility, elasticity, irritability
and contractility [1].
The three main types of muscle within the human body are smooth muscle, cardiac
muscle and skeletal muscle. Skeletal muscle is the only type which is under voluntary
control, and attach to bones in order to move the skeleton [1].
The body contains many muscles, each responsible for moving a different aspect
of the skeleton. The Biceps brachii and the triceps brachii are two main muscles
located in the upper limb. Biceps brachii is responsible for flexing the upper arm;
the triceps brachii work oppositely to the biceps brachii and is responsible for
extending the elbow [2]. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This is known as electromyography (EMG) [2]. The activity of targeted muscles

Aim: The aim of this experiment is to understand the relationship between the biceps

Failure of Parliamentary System under 1956 Constitution
The Constitution of 1956 proved to be very short lived as on October 7, 1958,
Marital Law was imposed on the country and the constitution was abrogated.
Lack of Leadership played a huge role in the failure of the constitution of 1956 and
because of this, Pakistan never found its way to development of its parliamentary
system.
There was lack of political training in the country as well. Many political parties
were made without any specific political goal. Every political party was fighting
against one another and tried to gain power. No one was interested in elections. So,
under such circumstances, elections were delayed.
Unicameral legislature was intoduced in the 1956 Constitution. Through this many

Essay on Factors Contributing to Colony Collapse Disorder

when a bee buzzes past you and lands on a flower by your feet, as human nature
you don t want to be next to the bee because it could sting you... do you step on it
or simply walk away? What you may not know is that honeybees play a huge roll
in America s agriculture, whether it is pollinating alfalfa hay to feed your horse or
pollinating that apple you eat every morning for breakfast. Honeybees pollinate
about one third of crops species in the U.S. (Vanishing Bees, 2008). Bees pollinate a
lot more than you would think a few more examples are almonds, avocadoes,
cucumbers and peanuts.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The bees never seem to catch a break which is putting the bees under stress which is
a factor. Furthermore, when they are pollinating all these different plants some are
not nutritious as others, for example cucumbers aren t as healthy as some of the
other plants but there is still a demand for them, so the bees still have to work and
eventually become unhealthy if they aren t getting the right nutrients. Another factor
is pesticides, which has many different points of view but overall it has come to
decided it is not the pesticides themselves that are killing masses of bees but it is
lowering their immune system and making it easier for them to get sick, for example
with the common parasite Nosema. Nosema is a parasite in the digestive track of the
honey bee that attacks the entire hive and can eventually wipe out the whole hive.
The effects of the pesticides are ultimately never letting the hives reach their
maximum potential, which in the end could render the hives weak and lethargic.
There are so many pesticides out there it is hard to tell exactly what component in the
pesticide is hurting the bees. It is recently found that the inert ingredients used often
to boost the effectiveness of the pesticide are actually more harmful than the actual
toxic ingredients

The strength of the team includes the gifts of each player. Barcelona is entertaining
to watch because they have many good players and if you have good players that
makes you one of the best teams in the world. You may be wondering who exactly
are the good players on Barcelona? Some of the past most powerful players for
Barcelona are Neymar Jr. who was a forward and striker and Carles Puyal who was a
defender. For the 2017 2018 season Messi is the top player and had previously played
with those champions. Messi is number 10 and has been on the team since 2003. He
is a forward and striker for the team. Messi grew up in Argentina but plays for Spain
and Barcelona. Neymar Jr is one of the more recent players for Barcelona. He
originally played for Brazil then Barcelona but has moved on again for the 2017 2018
season. His father was Neymar and was a very good player, so Neymar Jr is
following his dad s footsteps. Puyal was in the defense for Barcelona. He was
reasonably familiar with the sport in general, so he always knew what to do. He was
probably one of the best defenders on the team until he recently retired. Barcelona has
twenty four amazing players, so I could not name them
Gold Price Is A Good Indicator Essay
Introduction
Gold has been controversial in recent years due to the sharp increase in gold price.
Global Economic Crisis in the year 2008 brought about uncertainty in the global
economy. Jewelry, healthcare, and industrial applications involve the use of gold.
Investment in gold by governments, institutions, private persons and households is
another use of gold. Gold became insurance in economic uncertainty. In uncertain and
fragile macroeconomic conditions, we can get protection from inflation through gold.
Gold price is a good indicator to evaluate the health of the economy. Gold price
becomes high in the unhealthy economy because the investors start assembling gold
to protect them from inflation. Drop in gold price means the economy is healthy, as
investors switch from gold to other more profitable investments like bonds, stocks,
real estate, etc. To understand the economy, therefore, it is vital to understand the
fluctuations in gold prices.
It is used as a tool in diversifying portfolios, hedging and risk mitigation. The risk in
financial market could be reduced by investing in gold, as it is a safe haven (Le
and Chang, 2011). The price of gold is directly affected by the perceptions about
the economy. Gold as an economic indicator is questioned by some researchers, but
it is still recognized as inflation and exchange rate hedge. Gold is considered as a
safe asset in turmoil, investors like to invest in it
Governments give high value to gold. Due to this reason,

Another consideration I made was challenge, the challenge was I hate when people

Attempting my goal was difficult. Right before the movie started I screamed because
it made a loud noise when someone shut the door. Throughout the movie things

Scary Mary Classical Conditioning
Classical conditioning is a type of learning theory in which one learns a new
behavior through the process of association (McLeod, S. A. 2014). For a new
behavior to be created, there first needs to be a naturally occurring stimulus
(unconditioned stimulus) that produces an automatic response (unconditioned
response). In the case of Scary Mary, the unconditioned stimulus is the midterm exam
and the unconditioned response is the stress related behavior she exhibits like:
extreme nausea, insomnia, binge eating and more. The second stage in classically
conditioning someone is to try to create a conditioned stimulus to later get your
desired behavior or conditioned response. In order to create a conditioned stimulus,
you need to pair a neutral
The Games Of Thrones By George R.r
Introduction
The Games of Thrones is a 1st book in A song of Ice and Fire . It is a fantastic
adaptation of George R.R. Martin. The story of The Games of Thrones is original
, multi layered with lots of sub plots, and is non formulaic. It is incredibly exciting
,joyful, suspenseful ,mysterious, and very unpredictable and there is no way for
you to know what is going to happen in this novel. The story is also very violent .
The characters are well developed and enjoyable whereas some characters are even
clever and secretive. Unlike most fantasy books, Martin s characters are not totally
good or evil. His characters are also very personable so we can think of them as
real people and can develop strong emotions towards them throughout the novel.
Many of the characters in the novel The Games of Thrones are killed off and new
ones appear throughout the novel. The title sequence consists of a three dimensional
map of the world, which includes the continents of Westeros and Essos, located on
the inner surface of a sphere. At the center of the sphere is a light source, a sun
surrounded by an astrolabe like arrangement of rotating rings. The Game of Thrones
is set in the SevenKingdoms of Westeros of Medieval Europe. Here in the novel The
Games of Thrones we see that brothers plots against each other.

Foreign Direct Investment And Its Impact On An Economy
Foreign Direct Investment in Ireland Introduction Foreign Direct Investment (FDI)
has been considered important for the growth of a country. When the individuals or
companies from a country invest in another country, it is regarded as FDI. FDI not
only strengthens the manufacturing base of the host country but also contributes to
the strengthening of the economic outlook. FDI can be seen as an investment that
leads directly to job creation in an economy. The unemployment rate decreases due to
FDI, which leads to stability in economic, social and political spheres. This leads to
establishing the notion that FDI is necessary for a country because it helps in
strengthening the economy of a particular country. Ireland has been benefitted by...

The investment plans would be aimed at Asian economies because of the positive
growth seen in the Asian markets. As per an estimate, four fifth of all the
investment has been flowing towards less developed countries in Asia. In 1996,
China attracted 38% of the total investment flows from all over the world (Moran,
15). But it cannot be said that only the Asian economies have the potential to
attract FDI because of their cheap labor. The capacity to attract investors relies
heavily on a country s prospects. Many of the developed countries have attracted
more FDI by improving their prospects. Ireland has been ahead of its European
counterparts in this matter. The country has been attracting a considerable amount
of FDI every year from its allies. The economic cooperation between Ireland and
the Unites States (U.S) has strengthened over the time. Ireland and FDI from the
U.S According to a report, Ireland has been kept on the priority list by the U.S
firms because of the country s favorable prospects. The U.S firms have shown an
increasing interest in Ireland because of its business friendly policies. It has been
estimated that more than $277 billion have been invested by the U.S companies in
Ireland since the early 1990s (Taylor). Such a huge figure helps in establishing that
the U.S firms have been among the major employers in the country. There are more
than 700 U.S firms operating in the region and they
Swot Analysis Of Morgan Chase Co
JP Morgan Chase Co. is currently United States biggest bank, and the 6th biggest
bank internationally with over 2.4 trillion dollars in assets. This financial
juggernaut was formed in 2000, when Chase Manhattan Corporation and JP
Morgan Co merged. Currently, Chase is well known for their credit card line in
America, and is responsible for consumer banking, while JP Morgan is well known
internationally, and responsible for investment banking. Although JPMC is one of
the world s biggest banks, senior management at JPMC has continuously referred to
the company as a technology company. Technology plays an astronomically more
important role in banking because of convenience and security. JPMC currently has
over 40,000 technologists, of which over 18,000 are software developers (Crowe).
In comparison, Google, arguably the most renowned tech company in the world, has
around 60,000 employees. With such an enormous staff of technologists and coders,
JPMC, like any big tech corporation, must be concerned with employee production
efficiency. Over my past summer as an intern, I ve noticed that there is one key area
that JPMC could improve on keyboards. Every technologist at JPMC has their own
area for their computer setup, and unsurprisingly, most technologists spend a majority
of their time in front of their computer doing one task typing. The keyboards
provided by JPMC were basic plastic membrane keyboards that did not support any
added functionality. Even as an intern, I
Minority Health
It is no coincidence that it is called poor health. What I mean is that the people who
have it hardest in this country, those with the lowest incomes, have the worst health.
It could just as easily be called minority health, rather than poor health, because the
majority of the people living in poverty are racial or ethnic minorities. Many racial
minorities in the US suffer from poor health, but not because they have worse
genetics, rather from worse educational opportunities. This is a problem of all those
in poverty, but since a disproportionate amount of those in poverty are minorities; I
am focusing my paper on how to alleviate the educational disparities within the
minority population. Studies have shown that education is the ticket... Show more

Although there are a few race related diseases, such as sickle cell anemia, the
illnesses that are killing the minority population are environment related, like
Coronary Heart Disease. In a study done by Alan Goodman, he cites four important
points about race and genetics:
1.The concept of race is based on the idea of fixed, ideal and unchanging types
Racial categories date back to the days of ancient empires, and haven t changed
significantly since then, despite the huge changes in cultures since those times. There
has obviously been a huge amount of racial mixture since those times, and the
concept of race now is just an archaic social construct.
2.Human Variation is continuous
These racial categories are completely arbitrary. There is no way a clear line can be
drawn between the races, and all races relate on a gradient today.
3.Human Variation is nonconcordant
What he means by this is that traits vary independently of other traits. Since race
only really correlates with skin, hair, and eye color, there is no basis for the claim
that certain diseases go along with a certain race. Sickle cell anemia may affect
equatorial Africans, but also Greeks and Turks. This shows how the traits vary
independently.
4.Within Group Variation is much greater than variation among races
There are many studies that show within closely related racial groups, like Hopi
Indians, there is only about
The Case Of Mandatory Vaccination
He states one man s freedom to murder his neighbor must be sacrificed to preserve the
right of another man to live (Friedman 1962, 26). This type of matter would be
unanimously agreed upon, therefore government enforcement is irrelevant, according
to Friedman. Yet, in the case of mandatory vaccines, agreement on protecting another
s life is not universal; therefore we must further justify a policy of mandatory
vaccination.
Further justification for mandatory vaccinations is logically discerned by reading
John Stuart Mill s and Arthur Okun s views on rights. In On Liberty, Mill articulates
that the only form of acceptable coercion is through the harm principle or other
regarding. This translates as no one can or should want to harm their neighbor;
therefore, society can willingly accept vaccination to protect others (Colgrove 2006,
4). Opponents argue that harm principle is not applicable because the only direct
consequence is the side effects and harm a person receives from the vaccination
(Colgrove 2006, 4), not the indirect effects such as a susceptible person obtaining the
disease from lack of herd immunity. In response, I would argue, it is impossible to
comprehend all the consequences our actions. Therefore, the government s role is to
prevent citizens from creating externalities that potentially hurt our neighbors.
Enforcing a policy of mandatory vaccinations enables the government to prevent
negative externalities, which harm our neighbors. This is a duty of

Rappaccini s Daughter, By Susanna Rowson Literature has historically been a means of passing traditions down, providing entertainment, inspiring creative ideas, and transferring knowledge through several generations. In society, literature can be embraced for its innovation or condemned for the values it intently expresses against societal, political, and even religious views. Social criticism in literature is meant to directly or subtly call out the flaws in the social structure in an attempt to create awareness or evoke reforms. Many literary works invent characters who either gladly embrace gender and sexuality norms or are predisposed to them and live unconsciously, but are ultimately ruined in the end as a means to show the issue with definitive terms that categorize individuals. When I watch criminal shows, they always estimate a person s height by the way blood is spread out and I wondered if the diameter of a droplet really did change with the height where they were shot at, and if it was an effective method of presuming the height where the victim was hit at the time they were shot. This topic has always interested me as when I was younger, I wanted to be a forensic scientist and the way they solved crimes always intrigued me. In an anatomy class that I am taking I was able to learn about the hormone cortisol which is the hormone that helps us handle stress. There is a downside to cortisol though, and this is that it inhibits our immune system and enhances our chances of getting sick. This is why when you are really stressed for a big exam, presentation, etc. you start to feel sick because your cortisol is working overtime to compensate for the extra stress thus leading to a less efficient immune system. Stress can also cause other wear and tear on your body, too (Krantz, Thorn, Kiecolt Glaser, 2013). According to the American Psychological Association stress may cause disease, low decision making abilities, depression and an increased risk of coronary disease (Krantz, Thorn, Kiecolt Glaser, 2013). This is why taking a look at our lives and thinking about our stress level should be a priority in our lives so that we can be as mentally and physically healthy as possible. According to the Holmes and Rahe Stress Scale I have a stress level of 390. This score is interpreted to mean that I have a high or very high risk of becoming ill in the near future (Holmes Rahe, 1967). This correlates with what I said above about how stress is a major factor in causing illness, whether it be a simple cold or eventually lead to more

Introducing a decoy (or dominated alternative) helps consumers narrow their focus on the simpler choice. However, choosing sweet teamay involve giving up the fewer calorie healthier for me option found in the unsweet tea, and this can cause conflicts in my process that result in an absence of the decoy s intended benefit. Choosing the sort of iced beverage I consume on a hot day has little significance compared to the sort of person I deem approachable enough to get into a car with. How does a dominated alternative fair in the world of approachability? Based on just a photo, and knowing relatively nothing about the person you are looking at, would a third option help you lean in favor of one or the other? Research on the decoy effect (asymmetrical dominance, or attraction effect) has held its own in the world of marketing for the last three decades. Huber, Payne, and Puto (1982) demonstrated that the choices people make between a target, and a competitive option, can be swayed toward choosing the target, when an inconsequential third option (that is over shadowed by the target) is added to the choice set. Early Childhood Education And Care Early childhood education and care is defined as the educational programs and strategies geared towards children from birth to the age of eight, these cover both prior to school learning and the early years of primary school (Ailwood, Boyd, Theobald 2016). Early childhood settings are often known to be long day cares, occasional care, family day care, preschools and kindergartens (Early Years Learning Framework 2009 page 8). These environments are safe, caring, welcoming environments that promote learning in a child s mind by encouraging the use of real life scenarios. Lev Vygotsky observed this in his own daughter, he once said that play is defined by the presence of an imaginary situation, where children change the meaning of actions and subjects to give them a new sense (Colliver and Fleer 2016). In education pedagogy s today, there are many theories that are involved in the way we teach children every day. Theorists such as Doctor Maria Montessori, Howard Gardner, Erik Ericson and Burrhus Frederic (B.F) Skinner have influenced modern day education and the standard curriculum by introducing and encouraging their theories, theories such as operant conditioning by B.F Skinner, or Howard Gardner s theory of the multiple intelligences. Each of these play their own roles in every classroom in the form of teaching plans and disciplinary methods. Focusing on the concept of cognitive development and how it relates with play based learning, research shows that play can be

Born on March 31, 1596, he was dubbed as the Father of Modern Philosophy. His theory on the mindbody dualism, also known as Cartesian Dualism, created a stem of the modern problem of the relationship between the mind and body. He created the early version to further explain the interaction of the mind and body, to create a firm foundation that can be explained through science and to prove the existence and goodness of God, and how the soulcould be immortal. Along with that, he mentioned that the mind is different from the body. One of the basic thesis of his Cartesian Dualism is that a mental substance cannot have a physical form, and that said physical form cannot have experiences , for the mind and body cannot function without the other (Chin Tai Kim 337). In his Cartesian Dualism, RenГ© Descartes believes that every human being possesses a body and mind (Nath 1). MacEwan describes the Trinity in a way that God can be viewed in three different ways, viewed at through three different windows and mean something different to everyone based on the relationship with God they have or the way they need God to be to them at that time. The first way is how God is our Father. He is our Father because He is the creator, the one who started everything, the one with parental love, the one that we will end with at the end of our time on Earth in Heaven. Although this can be difficult for some to look at God like a parent because of the difficult relationship they have with their own, this must be looked past because he is like the perfect, loving parent we all wish to have. The second way of viewing God is being the Son. This is the relating aspect of the Trinity. We are able relate to the Son because He is just like us, God was put into flesh and He went through everything that we went through. He struggled like us and had to fight with sin, but then conquered it. The Son is the one who loves us as a companion, as a fellow human being, as one who shares our circumstances, who is gracious, whose love is forgiving and healing, reconciling and peace giving. (TS) The final way of viewing God is the Holy Spirit. God as the Holy Spirit is like the clear pane window that helps us see God

Essay on Guns in the Cockpit Guns in the Cockpit On the morning of September 11, 2001, four airplanes were hijacked and two of them, brought the collapse of the World Trade Center towers in New York City. As a result of these attacks on the United States, airports have come to the realization that the only way to prevent another hijacking is by strengthening the security on aircrafts through the cockpit. In order to secure the cockpit and ensure the safety of the passengers on board, guns were introduced as a possible solution in the event of an emergency situation like those that took place in September of 2001. The Transportation Security Administration head John Magaw, announced the administrations position that they are against guns in cockpits and a pilot ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... When the craft was in the air, the terrorists took the initiative and stormed into the cockpit and took over the controls, turning the aircraft into a guided missile (CBS 1). Increasing security immediately became an important aspect of airports shortly there after. Adequate security ensures the safety of the people in the air and citizens on the ground below. It is expected by passengers, that they are boarding a craft that will land safely at their intended destination. An aircraft should be a safe place for everyone and even though every person that enters the airport goes through the required security checkpoints, there is a small fraction of error. Someone will get by with a potential weapon and board the plane along with it; therefore, the captains should have some form of a rear view mirror (Press 2). One of the many proposals made since the attacks is installing video cameras in the cabin to monitor passenger activity for any possible terrorist actions. A pilot should be aware of what is happening to the plane and the passengers on board at all times. In a situation where someone is trying to hijack an airplane, there are three factors needed to be assessed. Does the terrorist have a weapon, are they attacking alone, and is he or she a trained fighter in the case of a Federal Air Marshal interfering (APSA 2)? In the incident of the World Trade Centerattacks, the

In his book, Seligman explains that there are two kinds of happiness, pleasureand gratification. He says, [t]he pleasures are delights that have clear sensory and strong emotional components, what philosophers call raw feels : ecstasy, thrills, orgasm, delight, mirth, exuberance, and comfort. However, Seligman explains, [g]ratification dispels self absorption, and the more one has the flow that gratification produces, the less depressed one is (119). Although it is clear that people need gratification more than pleasures, he points out that [t]o start the process of eschewing easy pleasures and engaging in more gratifications is hard (119). This difficulty of attaining gratification might make people to choose pleasure rather than gratification. Thus, according to Seligman s definitions of happiness, it is easier for humans to seek pleasure rather than to seek gratification. Arnett notes, in global culture, people value on individualism, free market economics, and democracy and include freedom of choice, individual rights, openness to change, and tolerance of differences (779). Honeybees pollinate about one third of crops species in the U.S. (Vanishing Bees, 2008). The bees never seem to catch a break which is putting the bees under stress which is a factor. Furthermore, when they are pollinating all these different plants some are not nutritious as others, for example cucumbers aren t as healthy as some of the other plants but there is still a demand for them, so the bees still have to work and eventually become unhealthy if they aren t getting the right nutrients. Another factor is pesticides, which has many different points of view but overall it has come to decided it is not the pesticides themselves that are killing masses of bees but it is lowering their immune system and making it easier for them to get sick, for example with the common parasite Nosema. Nosema is a parasite in the digestive track of the honey bee that attacks the entire hive and can eventually wipe out the whole hive. The effects of the pesticides are ultimately never letting the hives reach their maximum potential, which in the end could render the hives weak and lethargic. There are so many pesticides out there it is hard to tell exactly what component in the pesticide is hurting the bees. It is recently found that the inert ingredients used often to boost the effectiveness of the pesticide are actually more harmful than the actual toxic ingredients

Global Economic Crisis in the year 2008 brought about uncertainty in the global economy. Jewelry, healthcare, and industrial applications involve the use of gold. Investment in gold by governments, institutions, private persons and households is another use of gold. Gold became insurance in economic uncertainty. In uncertain and fragile macroeconomic conditions, we can get protection from inflation through gold. Gold price is a good indicator to evaluate the health of the economy. Gold price becomes high in the unhealthy economy because the investors start assembling gold to protect them from inflation. Drop in gold price means the economy is healthy, as investors switch from gold to other more profitable investments like bonds, stocks, real estate, etc. To understand the economy, therefore, it is vital to understand the fluctuations in gold prices. It is used as a tool in diversifying portfolios, hedging and risk mitigation. The risk in financial market could be reduced by investing in gold, as it is a safe haven (Le and Chang, 2011). The price of gold is directly affected by the perceptions about the economy. Gold as an economic indicator is questioned by some researchers, but it is still recognized as inflation and exchange rate hedge. Gold is considered as a safe asset in turmoil, investors like to invest in it Governments give high value to gold. Due to this reason,

Although there are a few race related diseases, such as sickle cell anemia, the illnesses that are killing the minority population are environment related, like Coronary Heart Disease. In a study done by Alan Goodman, he cites four important points about race and genetics: 1.The concept of race is based on the idea of fixed, ideal and unchanging types Racial categories date back to the days of ancient empires, and haven t changed significantly since then, despite the huge changes in cultures since those times. There has obviously been a huge amount of racial mixture since those times, and the concept of race now is just an archaic social construct. 2.Human Variation is continuous These racial categories are completely arbitrary. There is no way a clear line can be drawn between the races, and all races relate on a gradient today. 3.Human Variation is nonconcordant What he means by this is that traits vary independently of other traits. Since race only really correlates with skin, hair, and eye color, there is no basis for the claim that certain diseases go along with a certain race. Sickle cell anemia may affect equatorial Africans, but also Greeks and Turks. This shows how the traits vary independently. 4.Within Group Variation is much greater than variation among races There are many studies that show within closely related racial groups, like Hopi Indians, there is only about

This type of matter would be unanimously agreed upon, therefore government enforcement is irrelevant, according to Friedman. Yet, in the case of mandatory vaccines, agreement on protecting another s life is not universal; therefore we must further justify a policy of mandatory vaccination. Further justification for mandatory vaccinations is logically discerned by reading John Stuart Mill s and Arthur Okun s views on rights. In On Liberty, Mill articulates that the only form of acceptable coercion is through the harm principle or other regarding.
