the Jamaican population. Attitudes toward deaf and disabled people in Jamaica
are often negative. Hearing people in the community sometimes refer to deaf

challenges in life. They have a harder time pursuing higher education as well as

For about twenty eight years now the Asian elephant has been struggling for
existence. They have been classified as endangered species by The International
Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). Twenty eight years is quite a large

transferred to captivity for quite some time in the North American region. The
Elephas maximus have been captured from these countries in southern Asia and

individual cannot be overemphasized. As such, the role of timely, proper and
adequate nutrition to an individual in the prevention of these risks and treatment of
any present conditions is critical (Bendich Deckelbaum, 2010). Therefore, routine
individual nutrition assessment is important in ascertaining the adequacy of a
person s diet in meeting all the physiological needs for growth or maintenance of
normal body function and consequently health (Rolfes Pinna, 2011). The summary
table below outlines my anthropometric data and dietary analysis done using
NutriSurvey software and NUTTAB (Food Standards Australia New Zealand, 2013;
Erhardt, 2007) for nutrient intake over a period of 3 days. Calculation of my BMI,

Lilacs, to me, are spring. A first person narrator takes the reader through the life of
Christie; a 13 year old girl from England, who must spend time in Sweden at her
cousins.

Learning in Leading Throughout my life I have been placed in many leadership
roles from a young age and have learned from each of these experiences. From
being a chairman of my elementary school s talent show all the way until I became
my high school s chapter of Mu Alpha Theta Vice President I have had roles of
ranging responsibilities and success. The leadershiprole that I learned the most from
was the one that I view to have been the least successful. In Mrs. Quale s history
class in eighth grade I was placed in charge of a learninggroup in which we would be
self teaching through planned activities and setting our own pace for the quarter. I
was purposefully placed in a group that needed help in the class because of both their
grades and their behavior in and outside of class. I went into this role and assignment
with a bad attitude and did not place any trust in the people working with me, making

At the time I was very young and was not as concerned with effective leadership
and helping others as I am today. Later in life I learned to be a directive leader who
is able to inspire stewardship rather than degrading my coworkers by delegating

Introduction Administrative segregation (ADSEG), security housing unit (SHU),
special housing unit, segregation housing unit, the hole , solitary confinement,
punitive segregation, and restrictive housing are all identical in relation to
corrections. As the class lectures have pointed out, top facility officials have been
reported to say that they do not have a solitary confinement unit, but since there are
so many different names for solitary confinement, most facilities do actually
contain these specialized units for their inmates. Correctional facilities have these
units for their most notorious, violent, and even mentally ill inmates to be
subjected to a confined cell alone and isolated every single day. They can be put in
these isolation cells for short term periods, an hour or a day, to long term periods,
weeks to month(s). These cells are always separate from the general inmate
population and they are diminutive in comparison to the other units in the facility.

This would be the easiest way for 3M to use the Greptile Technology; 3M has made
a name for themselves by being innovative using their technology to create out of box
products. So my suggestion for using the Greptile Technology within the Sports and
Leisure market would be to create a new and lighter running shoe that is used on
indoor and outdoor tracks for track competitions. As a former track athlete one of the
biggest concerns of track athletes is the traction that we have on the bottom of our
shoes on outdoor tracks especially during the summer track season.
The Greptile Technology if modified correctly could provide a superior traction

enter into another submarket of the Sports and Leisure market and still keep in

use the technology for a lighter track shoe with superior traction would be able to
enter into the running shoe market which is estimated to be a $13 billion per year
industry. In my estimation 3M would be able to at least capture a minimum 10%

Walmart has a large retail seafood business and it is always a challenge to reduce
cost and promote sustainability. With upward trend for the demand of sea food,
depletion of the seafood supply is inevitable unless Walmart have a deep engagement
of their supply chain. One strategy that Walmart wants to promote to their suppliers
is for all of them to take up the Marine Stewardship Council s certification program.
This process will be time consuming, expensive and complex. The depletion of some
fish poses a threat to Walmart and its seafood supply chain.

been set up to intervene in religious affairs. The Indian constitution enshrines the
