The Battles of Marathon and Salamis each play an extremely important in early
Greek History for many reasons. They were not only battles in which the Greeks
showed their military prowess, but they were both battles which if lost, the future of
Greece would most likely have been changed forever. On this day, September 11th
in the year 490 BC, off of the Eastern Coast of Greece, a fleet of ships was amassing
in the distance headed towards the beach of Marathon. A massive fleet of 600
ships filled to the brim with Persian invaders, their goal was to invade and occupy
the city of Athens, which would have given them an extremely vital mainland base
in the center of early Greece. The Persian army consisted of 30,000 highly skilled
troops from all over the Persian Empire; the Greeks had about 11,000 troops. The
Persians had horsemen from East Asia and archers from India, where the Greeks
only had their high armored foot soldiers who had seen very little battles in their
lives. At the time Athens was the most influential city because it had adopted the
early Greek way of governing called Democracy. Athens had exiled its king and

Literary and Psychological Investigation of Women s Writing, she claims marriage
leaves no space for women (79). Here, Spacks is suggesting personal space is
essentially significant as personal freedom. Consider if a woman does not feel she
has enough space in a relationship, that means her granted freedom is restricted too
because personal space is created when the other half is willing to give you liberty

is about a girl trying to fit into the new Connecticut lifestyle, and shows the changes

Shadows which can make an object seem larger than it really is and make
something scarier than it really is are a major part of this musical. Originated either
in Greece or China this now Indonesian form of puppetry is called the wayang kulit
and uses flat puppets made of wood and animal hide against a muslin screen. In The
Lion King, shadows are used to portray many animals or ones that seem frightening.
This wonderful combination of puppets masks and real people makes this a most
wonderful sight. There are certain themes that are portrayed such as listen,
remember, and learn as they teach us to be part of the Circle of Life, remember who
we are and where we came from, and learn from our mistakes.
In conclusion, this wonderful portrayal of a Disney film seeks to teach us about
our own lives and who we are using wonderful techniques of puppetry and
coordination. It is no surprise that they have won many awards and acclaims all over
the world as they show us their wonderful sets and colors which include animals
ranging from eighteen feet to 5 inches. Julie Taymor s wonderful philosophy of dual

growing. Few international contributions are found investigating the advertising
industry and no such studies focus on the Swedish market. The PR industry has been
internationally neglected. This study investigates four advertising agencies and four
PR agencies in the Swedish market. The eight case agencies confirm traditional
internationalization motives, but also new motives are found, such as the foreign ...
Lastly, these authors used quantitative research method, which generally limits the
freedom of the respondents in answering questions. The Public Relations, PR,
industry has been internationally neglected. A possible explanation to this neglect is
that this industry has been assumed to be the same as the advertising industry. The
gap in research should by now be evident! Despite a growing body of service
literature, the internationalization of the advertising industry and the Public Relations
industry in Sweden has remained unchartered territories for research. The
internationalization motives and the entry modes for the advertising industry in USA
are somewhat known, but the PR industry is neglected internationally. The link
between motives and entry modes in the advertising industry is blurry even from an

The Nations Within Our Nation
Native Americans within the United States are the aboriginal population of the land.
America was not a vacuum domicillium (empty landscape) when explorers arrived
that was just a statement tool used to justify the mass genocide and conquests that
occurred after colonization (Welch 9). There were millions of Native peoples that
populated this land with preexisting political structures and tribal relations of their
own. In today s time, the Native American people are not fully free nations, but they
maintain many sovereign rights depending on their level of federal recognition and
autonomy. In this essay, there will be an outline of the United Stateshistory and
political similarities to Native American tribes, an explanation of how sovereign
nations interact domestically with the United States, and why these governments still
exist separately within the United States.
The United States of America has a very tumultuous history with Native American
tribes. The country originally attempted to eradicate the Native American
populations, but when the attempts did not work the citizens had to learn how to
coexist with the tribes. Native American tribes are unique in the United States
because they are the only aboriginal peoples that continue to practice a form of self
government in the midst of a new and modern civilization that has come to their lands
