The infamous story of Dr. Jack Kevorkian is a unique one. Professor Hengameh M.
Hosseini wrote how he was a doctor and was one of the first notable physicians to
aid in suicide for his patients that wanted it. In 1989 Kevorkian aided in Janet
Adkins suicide, his first patient to do so. After many years of helping his patients
in this way, Kevorkian got in trouble in 1998 when he got caught administering a
lethal injection to Thomas York, a patient who was suffering from Lou Gehrig s
disease and wanted to die. Kevorkian got caught because he videotaped himself
preforming the act because he wanted it to be broadcasted on 60 Minutes. Dr.
Kevorkian was sentenced to 10 25 years in prison because of that event. He was
considered an instrument of death who is a threat to the public (203 204). Some
people see Kevorkian as a hero, but in reality, his practice of physicianassisted suicide
is immensely wrong. The use of physicians to end one s life is morally wrong and
should not be legalized.
Dr. Jack Kevorkian may have been onto something though. Today, physician
assisted suicide is legal in one state: Oregon. Medical Doctor Suzan Okie stated that
Oregon has a set of laws for assisted suicide. The patient must be 17 or older, be able
to communicate and make decisions, be terminally ill with less than six months to
live, and the request must be written and spoken orally. If the doctor is suspicious of
the decision, a psychiatrist can evaluate the patient s mental condition (1627).

Time management plays a vital role in each and every unit with the United States
Army and it affects how quickly they can respond to problems when they arise.
Time management encompasses just about everything in the Army. From Senior
Non Commissioned Officers (SNCO) making sure their soldiers are in the right
place at the right time by tracking all their soldiers appointments and duties or the
squad leaders and other Non Commissioned Officers making sure that maintenance
is being completed on time so the aircraft are ready to fly, and making sure that
soldiers are ready for their flights for the day all the way down to the lower enlisted

Theme Of Death In A Farewell To Arms
The 1932 novel, A Farewell to Arms, is the result of then years digestion of his
experiences in the First World War. The central character is Frederick Henry, a
young American who is in Italy when breaks out and who enlists with the Italian
ambulance unit. He is wounded, and his convalescence coincides with a loveaffair
between him and the British nurse, Catherine Barclay. Henry returns to the front
but he witnesses a chaotic retreat, and the insanity of such a world makes him want

is being destroyed and by the fear that the world will soon catch up with him and

The use of Oracle bones can be tracked back to the Neolithic Era (Chou 135). The
Neolithic age was quite significant and played and immense role in contributing

Entitlement for the Ages
Stigmas, judgments, and misconceptions surround the newest generation of today s
society, cleverly named the millennials, like a virus. This particular generation is
often subject to criticism and even mockery, both justified and not justified. Similarly,
the generation that is focused on in the events of the novel Lucky Jim by Kingsley
Amis has been given the title of entitled. This conception is shown through various
characters and their respective developments, such as Jim, Dixon, and Bertrand. As
Amis develops these characters, we begin to see why their reputation is both justified
and not justified, and Amis leaves most of that interpretation open to the reader.
Rather than forcing character traits by explicitly telling the audience how each
character thinks, he uses point of view to open up major character decisions to the
reader.
In order to look at the general feelings and actions of characters through the lens of
entitlement, it is important to define such a vague and often overused term. A TIME
Magazine article, titled The Me Me Me Generation, focuses on why millennials are
the most narcissistic, self centered generation in the history of western civilization.
This attitude spreads not only among the upper and middle classes but reaches as far
as those living in poverty, who are selfish but for entirely different reasons than their
counterparts. According to the study, this movement of thinking inwards began with
trying to artificially inflate the self esteem of young adults in order to prevent them
from thinking terribly about the world around them. That self esteem movement
began in the 70s, a decade of historical significance highlighted by the Cold War. The
article further states that not all of this narcissism is not the fault of millennials, but

The Long Parliament a direct result of events in Scotland, was disastrous for Charles.
