Pros And Cons Of Should War Be Televised
Should War Be Televised? In the 1940 s there was an issue about deciding whether war should be
televised or it should be kept a secret from the people who are not in the war. A famous war that
was in the 1940 s was the Vietnam War. This is the first war that was broadcasted/televised.
People were trying to decide if they wanted to put war on television. This decision is still going
on today. In the following reading we will go over these questions: What causes war? What you
will see in war? What is the rating of the war? What are the pros for war? What are the cons for
war? What did Mrs. Tyner s 3rd hour class think? How would it affect people and who would it
affect? What would happen if war won on television? What if it wasn t? Was this... Show more

Television stations will become more popular if we put war on television. Most likely, the war
would be covered on a news channel, like News Channel 3. That would boost the television s
stations views and ratings. With more ratings and reviews, this will make more people want to
watch it and see why so many people are watching it. This will cause them to become popular
more and more over time. With war on television, a chain reaction of views will occur and the
television show would become more popular. People will be curious about what is going on and
they will find themselves watching

Compare And Contrast Renaissance And Humanism
Renaissance, which means rebirth in French, might be defined as the awakening of art, literature,
architecture and learning in Europe between fourteenth and mid sixteenth centuries through the
contribution of classical sources. Despite the fact that it was originated in Italy, it started to spread
throughout Europe and contributed to the transition from the Medieval Age to the modern one.
Proponents of this movement emphatically connected themselves with the values of classical
antiquity, especially as seen in the recently rediscovered works of art of writing and history.
Additionally, they had a tendency to separate themselves from works written in the Middle Ages, a
historical period they looked upon rather negatively. According to them, the Middle Ages were set
in the center of two significantly profitable periods. In the same way, Humanism, which has an ideal
of placing human beings at the center of the universe rather than God, was the major intellectual
movement of the Renaissanceand then it became the dominant sophisticated movement in Europe in
the 16th century. Supporters of this movement asserted that humanistic studies, comprising of the
examination and imitation of the established culture of Ancient Rome and... Show more content on

was the evolution of Renaissance humanism as a method of thinking. During this period, people
actually started to think differently and change how they thought about humanity, art, science and
other fields. Therefore, due to their spread throughout the Europe with the cultural aspects by

Foreshadowing in Toni Morrison s Beloved
Foreshadowing in Beloved
In the novel Beloved, Toni Morrison addresses many broad themes and issues that are continually
reoccurring throughout the book. Morrison uses each one of the characters to aid in the
development of her novel. Sethe, Denver, and Beloved, all main characters in this book, represent
many of the large issues. One of the major themes in the novel is portrayed with the falling of
Beloved, Sethe, and Denver in the ice skating scene. In the second section of Beloved, Morrison
uses the dramatic ice skating scene to foreshadow the deterioration of the relationships with in the
family that occurs with the loss of Sethe s job.

Not long after the ice skating scene we see how Sethe begins to fall. Sethe s first major stumble
deals with the loss of her job. For many years Sethe was an extremely hard worker at a restaurant
in town and never missed a day of work in her life. However, after Beloved started becoming
more dependent upon Sethe, demanding more and more from her mother, Sethe found it nearly
impossible to maintain a job. Sethe played games all day long with Beloved and she took to
going to work later and later each day until the predictable happened: Sawyer, her boss, told her
not to come back (240). With the termination from Sethe s job resulted in a feeling of apathy.
Sethe wished to put all of her time and energy into Beloved s happiness because of the terrible
guilt she had inside. Sethe felt extremely ashamed for killing her daughter. Therefore, Sethe would
do anything for Beloved. Anything Beloved was craving, Sethe made sure her daughter received.
Beloved took advantage of her mother s behavior and drained her of everything. Hours

The Twentieth Century And The American Century Essay
To what extent was the twentieth century the American century ?
The first President of the United States of America, George Washington, dreamed of a future where
The United States would Possess the strength of a Giant and there will be none who can make [her]
afraid. More than two hundred years later the United States has achieved global power, that would
even surpass Washington s wildest imaginings. The twentieth century was greatly dominated by
The United States, being one of the two superpowers for several decades, and then the only hyper
power to see the twentieth century. Now in the Twenty first century, we can truly look back and see
the extent of how much the United States influenced the 20th century, and see why it is regarded to
as the American Century .
The twentieth century truly began to reveal itself as the American century after the end of World
War Two. To get there the United States had to get through two World Wars and the biggest
economic disaster the world has seen.
After the Spanish American War, the American government chose to adopt isolationism in order to
build up its navy and industry. When President Theodore Roosevelt came to term in 1901, speed
up the United States into a direction of foreign involvement. As he wanted to spread the influence
and reputation of the United States in the world and see the United States become a global power.

Examples Of Mayella Ewell Power In To Kill A Mockingbird
Is Mayella Ewell Powerful?
Throughout history power has been distributed among people in different forms. Three
components contribute to this and are seen over and over again. Some ways people gain power is
from their social class, their gender, and their race. In Harper Lee s novel To Kill A Mockingbird
these components are present relating to power. Mayella has power related to her race but however
she does not have power with her class and gender.
Mayella is poor;therefore, she is not powerful in regards to her social class. The Ewells live in
the dump near the negroes. When Lee writes, He thought he d be a hero (Document A) he
directly connects the idea that the Ewell s low social class affects how much power they have or
want to have. The Ewells thought that after they convicted a negro their social class would go
up but they still lived in a dump. Due to her living in a dump people look at her like trash. Lee
directly connects the idea of how white people in a higher social class think of white people in a
lower social class: White people wouldn t have anything to do with her because she lived among
pigs (Document C). She lives in a dump and so they consider her trash and ... Show more content on

Mayella is female and in most cases men have more power. Lee directly connects the idea of

therefore, he has more power over her and took advantage over her by making her keep

Case Study Of Blu-Ray
Introduction and Purpose
We are discussing two fascinating case studies in this essay. Firstly we will discuss the important
topic of Dominant Design and look at the case study of Blu Ray to demonstrate the significance of
how multidimensional a new technology value offers a customer and how it rises to dominance.
The purpose of this essay is to explain the factors behind consumers, retailers and movie producers
support towards Blu Ray versus HD DVD and discuss the criteria behind selection of the former
being a dominant design.
We then discuss the important topic of Collaboration networks between two or more companies
and the significance of business marriages for innovation purposes in order to attain more at a
faster rate as well as reduce risk. We look closely at companies such as Dyesol, a shining example
of successful collaborations and others who face challenges of growth and sustainability
irrespective of whether they are on their own or with partner/partners.
The purpose of the second part of the essay is to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of
collaborating with external partners and justifying it with the help of the Dyesol case study.
Essentially, understanding the significance of how external sources such as scientific, technical and

Government Looking At Clean Up Online Gambling Sector
Article 29 Maltese Government looking to clean up online gambling sector
It is the scandal that has rocked the online casino world, with many keeping their eyes peeled to
online casino portals in order to see the latest news. Malta has for a long time been home of some
of the world s leading online casino brands, but a corruption investigation into money laundering
has threated to bring it all crashing down. In the wake of the Malta Gambling Authority (MGA) has
spoke up to say that they wish to reform the industry on a whole later this year.
What has made Malta so appealing to online casino developers and operators is the fact that the
nation is rather relaxed when it comes to legislation. The problem is that this has gone to create
more problems than it has solutions over time. That is until now, as the MGA is looking to clean
up the nations image and modernise gambling laws. According to Jose Herrera (Maltese
Parliamentary Secretary for Competitive and Economic Growth) the gambling laws in the country
will be brought before parliament this November. This announcement comes hot on the heels of a
prior report from the MGA that said that it has been trying to push through reforms for over two
years.
In many ways it is the famous hands off approach from Malta that has led to the issues and the
need for reform. The country s low tax approach has allowed many operators to start operations
without any real background checks taking place. This move may increase the level of

Iodine Clock Reaction
Introduction:
First discovered by Hans Heinrich Landolt in the 19th century, the Iodine Clock reaction is what
is described as a chemical clock reaction, and today is one of only few known to science. It is
useful as a tool in determining the rate of a chemical reaction due to a marked change in the color
of the reacting solution when a particular reaction has been completed. The process is also practical
as an introduction to reaction rates and kinetics. A solution of hydrogen peroxide is mixed with one
containing potassium iodide, starch and sodium thiosulfate. After a varying amount of time the
colorless mixture suddenly turns dark blue which is one of a number of reactions related to the
iodine clock. The positive points of the lab would ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the lab, a stopwatch was used to measure the time of the reaction taking place. The eye
hand coordination of a human simply cannot be trusted to be entirely accurate which is why
there was uncertainty about the accuracy of the stopwatch.Although the conduction of this
experiment was straightforward, it would be better if we had access to more potassium iodide.
The concentration of potassium iodide was too low, and as a result it delayed the time that the
reaction took place. For example, in trial 2, the portion of sodium thiosulfate is higher than
potassium iodide s, so the reaction delayed. The concentration of potassium iodide would be
higher if the potassium iodide provided to us was not diluted. The potassium iodide provided
was at a concentration of 0.2 moles and if it were at a higher concentration, we would ve gotten a
quicker reaction. As an alternate method for this lab, solid potassium iodide could be used instead
of liquid potassium iodide since the amount of solid potassium iodide can alter the concentration
of the solution. In order to get solid potassium iodide, we would boil liquid potassium iodide, and
as a result, solid potassium iodide would be left in the plate due to the evaporation of

Essay On Moishe Wiesel s Night
Moishe the Beadle was a religious man reaching enlightenment before he was taken by Nazi
soldiers, tortured, and made a witness of mass murder. He lost his will to live, his care for
relationships with others, and his faith. After being dehumanized, he went from being at
enlightenment to the bottom of the hierarchy of human needs. In Night, Elie writes Moishe had
changed. There was no longer any joy in his eyes. He no longer sang. He no longer talked to me of
Godor the cabbala, but only of what he had seen (Wiesel 17). One of the few things that made
Moishe human in his poverty was his religion. Due to the events he witnessed, he was no longer

sanctify His name? The Almighty, the eternal and terrible Master of the Universe, chose to be
silent. What was there to thank Him for? (Wiesel 33). Like Moishe, one of the things that was a
large part of Elie s humanity was religion. When he and his father marched towards the
crematorium, towards certain death, Elie s father began to recite a Jewish prayer for the dead.
Upon hearing this, Elie became angry and questioned God. Elie had relied on God all of his life,
but when terrible things began to happen to him and his loved ones and He was silent, his faith
was lost. Elie s dehumanization began earlier as he was deported from his home and crammed
with other Jews in a cattle car, but it really took place as he was tortured in

What is Recidivism Recidivism is a term, applied in the Criminal Justice System for criminals
who despite having been punished for a crime go on to repeat it, only to be returned to a custodial
sentence. It is for this particular reason that the penal system need to decide whether the system is
effective in doing its job, or reforms are needed to improve the way it conducts itself.
What causes Recidivism?
Recidivism is caused by criminals who have been through the courts and prison system and still
refuse to turn away from crime; the causes of repeat crime may involve many social factors, such as
society, the economic climate, or family issues that may affect the criminal in a negative manner.

The Prosecutors Firearm Identification Testimony
The prosecutors firearm identification testimony for the case was poorly executed which allowed
Waite to reexamine the bullets from the case and what he found was the rifling markings did not
match up with the bullets that were test fired from Steielow s gun. They determined that Stielow
was not guilty due to the conclusion that his firearmwas not used in the crime. Following this case
Waite was inspired to develop a systematic process for documenting ballisticsinformation to avoid
making mistakes in later cases. After this Waite began to travel to different firearm manufacturers
to document the process of creating the firearms to study the different characteristics in each. As
firearm production began to become more advance and higher quality in the assembly process it
opened more ways for investigators to attack firearm crimes. The range of evidence that can be
recovered from a firearm involved case can be as small as a bulletfragment that holds the rifling
markings from the firearm to the firearm itself. The firearm itself is a highly anticipated form of
evidence that investigators will search for because of the information it can possess. The firearm
itself can hold many different forms of evidence such as the firearm serial number. In 1968 the
United States passed the Gun Control Act, which obligates that all guns manufactured or imported
to the USA must obtain a serial number ( Gun Control Act | ATF , 2016). If the firearm possesses a

Imagery In Anne Bradstreet s The Author To Her Book
One point or another in a person s life, he or she wonders what it would be like if an inanimate
object was alive. Anne Bradstreet does just this in her poem The Author to Her Book. She
brilliantly takes the fears and worries of publishing a book into treating it as if it was her own
child and, in many respects, that is what a book is to its author. There are many elements used to
give the reader the sense what the author sees the book as through metaphors, complete imagery to
visualize the scene, and voice to let the reader know just how difficult it is as an author but not just
an author, a female author. To emphasize, being an author is very tough, being a female author can
be even tougher in an era where wealthy male writers and critics... Show more content on

Bradstreet successfully aids readers with this with the voice she gives the Author in this poem.
Revisiting all the metaphors and visuals, it s easy to at least see that this is a motherly like
person who regrets the fact she must boot what she feels is a somewhat messy, child out the
door. It s a voice filled, once again, with worry, regret, a motherly figure hoping her child will
find its way in the world. If one wonders why somebody would have so much worry for the flaws
of their creation, it is important to note two factors. Right out the gate the reader knows this
author is poor, so she needs money. This is revealed when she says, And for thy Mother, she alas
is poor, (Line 23). Seventeenth century is not like today where poor means the government will
at least help to an extent, so the person isn t out of luck. There were efforts in the seventeenth
century to help the poor but for the most part, that person was kind of out of luck. The second
thing is just being an author in this time. In every respect, line 23 right here draws conclusion to
the voice of this poem, especially if the reader hasn t read it already. The other part of the voice
that is given out in this piece of work is this tone caring and fear mixed together. Leading off is the
fear factor which the Author has every right to be since

Discuss the Pros and Cons of Implementing a Nationwide...
Discuss the pros and cons of implementing a nationwide road pricing scheme The introduction of a
nationwide road pricing scheme has been extensively considered in the UK. Early deliberations in
the Smeed Report implemented road pricing in 1962 using a colour coding system. With
computing and telecommunications changes in recent years there is potential for the road pricing
scheme, which was a component of the labour manifesto in 2005 using satellite navigation to track
vehicle activity, to be developed and implemented. The concept of introducing a market for roads
through road pricing has become a highly discussed topic due to the complexity of the operation
and how it could revolutionise the actions of drivers in the future with a... Show more content on

People in a lower income bracket will be the ones who are hit hardest and have to change their
driving behaviour as the road pricing is independent of income, exhibiting price inelasticity. This
increase in inequality which could be a result of road pricing can be illustrated using the Lorenz
curve which shows the distribution of wealth, with increased inequality leading to a shift away
from the line of equality as shown by the arrow showing a higher proportion of income going to
a smaller proportion of people. There is a correlation between work flexibility and income so
people with less income will have to pay the peak time charges and the Lorenz curve will shift.
As the main aim of the scheme is to reduce congestion people may feel as though they are being
Priced off the roads. The Gini Co efficient shows distribution between households, it was
recorded that following the London Toll introduction, the co efficient increased from 0.2778 to
0.2785. Changes in road pricing have not been perceived well by the public in the UK. The
scheme has been viewed as an invasion of privacy due to the tracking technology. After a
referendum in Edinburgh the widespread political opposition was reflected in the vote: 74% of
people voted against the plan . An online petition against road pricing was signed by 1.8 million
people showing the depth of feeling against road pricing. However, with the highest fuel duty in

Core Concepts In Sociology
After watching Core Concepts in Sociology, the primary concern presented is that, we as human
beings are absolutely lost and unaware of different cultural standards and social norms. In my
estimation, few individuals try to fathom the culture outside of middle class white America.
Several individuals do not want a big house, with a picket white fence, or a new car every three
years. Societies fail to comprehend that the genderroles placed on men and women mostly occur in
middle class America. In my assessment, societies do not pay attention to the gender role of a poor
class black woman. One can make the argument that a misunderstanding of cultures and norms is
the leading cause of the problems in today s world. Although, some may consider that we are
moving towards a global culture, most individuals believe we are further apart. In addition to being
absolutely lost and unaware of different cultures, the organizations that are socializing us may be
corrupt.
As Americans, we are Ethnocentric, which is a major issue in my opinion. If people do not dress
like Americans or value the things we value, they are considered substandard. We are totally lost
and unaware of different culture standards and social norms. For instance, some Americans
consider that all Muslims are terrorists, when Muslims ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Americans value money over the life of a human being. That exact point shows when America is

The NBA Should Enforce a Hard Salary Cap
How many of you sports fans out there are sick of paying twenty five dollars for a lousy seat at an
NBA game? How many of you are sick of seeing the same teams in the finals every year? I m sure
there are thousands of you out there that feel this way, as do I. The way we can fix these problems
is to demand that the NBA enforce a hard salary cap. A hard salary cap would lower ticketprices,
allow for more teams to be more competitive and eliminate the possibility of any future lockouts. If
the three things listed above aren t met, it s hard to say if the NBA will survive at all. I want to see
the NBA survive, but not in the way things are being run now. A hard salary cap is the only way...

( 1 ) The players realize that they are eliminating their average fan and they don t care. We as fans
should not pay these outlandish ticket prices. A hard salary cap is the only thing that will lower
salaries and ticket prices. If ticket prices aren t lowered, I personally feel that the players can kiss
their pay checks goodbye. But what do other people think.
Some people believe that NBA arenas will fill up in spite of high ticket prices. Just last year
Michael Jordan made 33.14 million dollars while the whole Chicago Bulls salary cap was 26.9
million, and all season long seats were filled. That means to some that no matter the amount, people
will continue to attend NBA games.
To the people that believe this, I must remind them of Major League Baseball and the situation
that they faced just a few years back. First, players salaries skyrocketed to obscene levels,
alienating their average fan. Next, the players couldn t decide how to divide up their millions.
Finally, they quit playing the game and their fans quit caring about Major League Baseball.
Does any of this sound familiar? This is exactly what s happening in the NBA right now. If it
happened to the American Pastime it can, and certainly will, happen to the NBA. Yet people, in
spite of the lower ticket prices provided by a hard salary cap, aren t convinced that a hard salary
cap is a good idea. They feel that players

(accessories, mast and seven sails) will be ready for installation. After the parts are installed and
crew maintenance training is complete, the initial sail trainings effort will parallel the boat testing
effort. Finally, when all initial training is complete, there will be 8 weeks of see trials. Based on
this plan the schedule from item M to S will take 38 weeks to complete at an approximate direct cost
of $270,000. The additional indirect expense of operating the boats will cost $ 162,000 where
the old vessel cost is $60,000, and the new vessel cost is $102,000. The final effort will be the
sea trials in the new boat will take eight weeks and have a direct cost of $200,000 and indirect
cost of $48,000 for using the boat. Based on the schedules and paths lay out, the total cost of the
project is $3,200,000, this would met the budget. Unfortunately, the schedule for the design path
through sea trials will take 44 weeks, whereas the schedule time for the crew training through the
sea trials will be 46 weeks. Since the initial two weeks were invested in cost estimates, this means

The Importance Of Greed
Greed: intense and selfish desire for something, especially wealth, power, or food. Is greed
purposeful in some scenarios? Would we be hated more than usual? Would it impact our lives
for the better? Would people think of you as a less kind person? I think greed has different parts to
it. Greed could be a dangerous quality. You should not be greedy in order to maintaining a positive
friendship or if you want people or friends to like you. It would be more effective for you to be
selfless, even if it s the most challenging time for you. If you are greedy your whole life, then you
finally chose to be selfless, then your friends or people will still dislike you and nothing would
change. If you are a selfless person, people will treat you better and will tend to like you more.
A while ago when I was watching a Youtube video about a guy dressed up as a homeless person
walking around asking for money, because he wanted to test peoples generosity. The man dressed
as a homeless walked around for hours and hours asking rich and middle class people for any spare
change. Everyone ignored him and kept walking until another actual homeless person arrived and
supported him by giving fake homeless person some money. Then the fake homeless person gave
the real homeless person $100 and he thanked him for his support.
Then give to the world the best you have. And the best will come back to you. Madeline Bridges.
Despite the homeless man not having much and having very little, he still gave what he had
even though he needed it more. By giving the fake homeless man some money, the real
homeless man received $100 in return and kept his money. People should be generous and
selfless to one another in order for people to be generous and selfless to them back. As we
experience through life, we have to know that we should treat people how we want to be treated
and it shouldn t matter which situation we are in. People who show more generosity to others get
respected and people tend to like them, but the people who show selfishness and are greedy are the
ones who get disliked more often and people tend to lose their respect for them.
Not all greed is unpleasant, there could be another view on it. We know that greed is unpleasant but

Correlations and Confounding Variables
Correlations Confounding Variables Correlations are measurements on the various variables that
show a relationship among the variables (Correlations, 2013). They determine an association
between variables and how variables are associated with each other. Confounding variables are
third party variables that can show relationships among the dependent and independent variables
without presenting a viable relationship with the individual study (Spunt, 2011). The confounding
variables can show relationships that are not necessarily true and do not prove changes in
variables are caused by other variables. Correlations do not always mean that the changes in
variables cause changes in other variables and the confounding variables can cause a correlation
that is not necessarily true. Correlation measurements can show if and how variable pairs are
related (Correlation, 2012). Quantifiable, or specific amounts, of data are used to determine
statistical significance in measurements. The statistical significance determines how likely the
correlations are viable measurements or can be due to sampling errors or confounding variables
that may not show true results. Significance levels are used to determine the viability of the
measurements. Confounding variables, such as weather, type, scope, etc. can be associated with
independent and dependent variables, but not necessarily prove an association or changes between
the variables in a study. They do not prove that a dependent variable

Core Competencies Of Virgin Atlantic
In July 2017, news headlines hit the airwaves and the internet regarding Sir Richard Branson giving
up control of the 33 years old airline, Virgin Atlantic (Bkaskara, 2017). Apparently, the air carrier
industry has experienced increased competitiveness. Low cost rivals are putting pressure on
traditional transatlantic carriers, which has made Virgin Atlantic, once a trailblazing carrier, to
struggle. In 2012, Delta Air Linescame to the rescue of the carrier in a joint venture, taking up 49
percent of the company (Stothard, 2017). Even so, in the July 2017 alliance, Branson, according to
Stothard (2017) gave up his control as a part of a wide ranging disturbance of the airlinecarrier
industry that will see Delta Air Lines, Air France KLM, and China Eastern intensify their alliances.
The aim of the airline is to embrace the human spirit and let it fly (Virgin Atlantic, 2016). Its main
focus has been on services such as safety and security, for its 5.4 million customers flown in 2016
(Virgin Atlantic, 2016). To enhance its efficiency, Virgin Atlantic has implemented various strategic
management practices to achieve competitive advantage and growth.
Virgin Atlantic Analysis

Ancient Athenian Women Essay
In ancient Athens, there were different levels of courtesans: concubines, street women, hetaeras,
and music or flute girls. This trade, however, was not restricted to women men were also sold as
commodities. These women plied their trade according to their social stature, in the streets,
symposiums or brothels. The symposium played a huge role in the sexual life of the ancient
Athenians often an outlet for not just sexual desire, but all desires. The economics of prostitution in
ancient Athens was complex, most times treating women and men as commodities. Similarities and

promise of freedom (Davidson, pg. 81). Men and women even had a resale value (Davidson, pg.

controlled by pimps (Davidson, pg. 79). The street women barely made enough to make it
through a twenty four hour span, the slave girls in the brothels made profits for the brothel
keeper, and the professional party girl lived off her talents (Davidson, pg. 86). At the
symposiums, women were hired for entertainment as well as sexual pleasure by people of merit:
artists, poets and political aristocrats (Davidson, pg. 77). Women would often be paid for their
company, not just the act of sex (Davidson, pg. 77). The symposium is the most familiar face of

European Colonization In Latin America
Latin America is one of the less developed when compared to different parts of the world. The
colonization era highly affected Latin American, making Latin America less developed than
other countries. Latin America used to be rich in terms of resources, containing an abundance
of resources that made these lands valuable for other countries. Among its resources, the lands of
Latin America produced gold and silver. In the era of colonization many Europeans colonizers
were able to conquer land and make use of them by taking all of the valuable resources. They
also had more advantages, making it easier to colonize in Latin America. Latin America fell
behind in levels of developments when Europeans colonized Latin America, used force against
natives to extract resources and created extractive institutions that led to high inequality in Latin
America. The colonization of Europeans in Latin America allowed them to pull . Latin America
used to be rich in resources before many European countries inv. These lands produced gold,
silver and many other valuable resources that helped European countries developed into richer
states. During the invasion of Cajamarca, a powerful Spaniard monarchy led by Pizarro
conquered Cajamarca by capturing Atuhuallpa, an Inca emperor that had thousands of soldiers
(Diamond,73). As a strategy, he was able to use Atahuallpa captivity as a way to exchange for

British Values
In June 2014, the secretary of state for education, confirmed that schools would be required to
promote British values from September 2014. According to the guidance from the Department
for Education, the fundamental British values which schools should promote are: Democracy
The rule of law Individual liberty Mutual respect for and tolerance of those with different faiths
and beliefs and for those without faith Every school in England must promote British values in
their SMSC development, which is particularly important to Ofsted. The SMSC Quality Mark
for Primary and Secondary Schools aims to help schools recognise and review the development
of SMSC, which includes British values. SMSC stands for spiritual, moral, social and cultural
development. Every school in England must show how well the students at that school develop in
SMSC. There are a number of definitions surrounding spiritual, moral, social and cultural
development and can be outlined as follows. Social development explores beliefs and experience
and reflects upon these. It explores feelings and values, and promotes learning about yourself as
well as others and the world around us. It promotes using your imagination and creativity in
learning and the ability to reflect upon this as well as respecting different faiths. Moral
development encompasses the ability to recognise right and wrong and apply this to their own lives
and within the boundaries of the legal system thereby respecting the law and

Even though the british did many negative things in india imperialism was mostly positive
because modern technology was created in India, education increased and many new jobs were

technology. One huge part of modern technology in India is the new railways built by 1853 in
India. This helped the indians with transportation and trading all over India. They were now able
to travel to different parts of India since india is very big with out railways it would take a long

How Does Napoleon Use Power In Animal Farm
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world (Mandela).
Napoleon realizes this truth and takes full advantage of it early on in the story. In George Orwell
s allegorical novel Animal Farm, Napoleon seizes control of the now independent farm. He allows
the pigs to be educated and excludes the others. However, he personally educates some puppies,
foreseeing them as a powerful weapon to gain full authority over the animalsand to reduce distrust
that could lead to revolt. As he continues to rule, he acquires more power and he uses it to violate
and change laws so that they best benefit him and his reign. Napoleon s main focus in ruling

Fortunately for him, he already wields the power of education, enabling him to rise almost
effortlessly to power; With their superior knowledge it was natural that they should assume
leadership (pg. 21). This is a subtle infraction of the principles clearly stated in the commandments
of Animalism. Equality is supposed to apply to everyone and every situation, but the animals are
accustomed to having a leader, therefore, it is second nature for them to rely on a person higher
than them. Sadly for the majority of the naГЇve animals, the pigs ascend to power simply because
the weapon of education is pointing at them and they are found weaponless and unable to defend
themselves. Animalism is turned into an oligarchy, rule by the elite, in this case the pigs are the
elite because they are more educated than the animals. Napoleon not only wants power over the
lowly farm animals, but he seeks absolute control over the entire farm, including the remaining
pigs. To do this, he again takes advantage of the power that lies in education; He said that the
education of the young was more important than anything that could be done for those who were
already grown up (pg. 26). To be a leader, it is vital for

The Relationship between Axioms and Practical Principles of Religion
After introducing the axioms of Islam and finding faith in them, the next step in this life changing
journey is to accomplish certain commands as a result of those beliefs which will lead us to a life
of eternal satisfaction and bliss. Now one might wonder, what relates those fundamental principles
or axioms i.e. Monotheism (Tawhid) [1], Prophethood (Nubuwwah), and Afterlife (Ma ad) to
practical principles of religion? Are they even related? If yes, how is this relationship justified?
What comes next will hopefully provide an answer to these questions.

Character Analysis Of Ark Angel
Josh Kennelly
Mr. Mariano
English 9
13 November 2017
Ark Angel Book Report A complex character is a character that has a variety of traits and
different sides to their personality. In this story, the complex character I chose was Alex Rider.
This is because throughout the story, he does many intriguing, engaging, and critical actions. This
is what makes him my complex character. Over the course of the story, Alex learns how to deal
with and cope with people trying to kill him. Analytically and effectively, he interacts with the
characters in different ways as the story goes on when he learns the good and bad people.
The novel starts off with Alex Rider in a hospital recovering from an assassination attempt caused
by the terrorist organization Scorpia. He meets a teen his age named Paul Drevin son of Russian
multibillionare Nikolei Drevin and host of the Ark Angelproject and forms an alliance with him.
This action is complex because forming an alliance can be very difficult. Later, one night, a
group of four men arrive in the hospital in an attempt to kidnap Paul Drevin. Alex, in an attempt
to rescue Paul, pretends to be Paul himself and overpowers the four men, before eing knocked
out by a fifth man. This shows how complex he is. Alex is captured by the men and taken to an
abandoned apartment. The men reveal themselves to be Force Three, an eco terrorist group led
by a man named Kaspar. Alex proves that he is not Paul Drevin, but Force Three burns the tower
and leaves Alex to die anyway he escapes using a tightrope. Horowitz describes, I m not afraid of
Force Three, he blustered. I m not afraid of anyone (6). This quote shows how Rider is
intriguing. Apparently grateful for Paul being spared, Nikolei Drevin invites him to come and
stay in luxury with him for two weeks. When Alex arrives in Drevin s house, he befriends Paul,
but decides to leave him and Drevin when they arrive in New York. At the New York airport, Alex
is taken to the CIA, who tells him that Drevin is a banker for numerous criminal organizations. The
CIA recruits Alex to continue his vacation with Drevin to investigate him. When they arrive in
Flamingo Bay, Drevin s private island, Drevin discovers that Alex is

Case Study Of Chief Davis Executive Style
After carefully reading the case studies, I concluded that Chief Davis executive style is in line with
The Statesman and Chief Fortier s executive style is in line with The Administrator. The Statesman
style stresses leadership and Chief Davis had a strong subordinate leadership in which he allowed
their thoughts and ideas to be put into place (Cordner, 2016). The Statesman focuses on the
department s interests by being in constant contact with the community as well as the government
and gives them tasks in order to provide leadership within the community. Chief Davis focused on
building support from outside of the agency by becoming transparent with the community and by
allowing them to see what decisions were being made. Chief Davis had strong ties to the local
businesses and as a result, they heavily supported the Lowell PoliceDepartment. A strong indicator
that the LPD had the backing of their community was that a fundraiser led by a local businessman
to raise some $200,000 to buy the department s mobile precinct (Cordner, 2016, p. 488). Chief
Davis also had the strong support from Senator Paul Tsongas, who was a resident of Lowell and
worked well with the city government. By being involved in the local governmentas well as the
university and businesses in Lowell, Chief Davis was extremely successful in getting community
and monetary support for his department (Cordner, 2016). Chief Davis was also successful in
convincing the residents in the community to build a new precinct in the crime riddled Cambodian
neighborhood. This was largely done because he had the trust and support of the community as
well as seeking the help and advice from outside of the department in Linda Hart. Chief Davis even
was able to win over one of his non supporters by hiring Cambodian and Latino officers to help
close the communication gap between the police department and the minority communities. The
Statesman can often have a negative impact on a department because the department members feel
that he or she loses touch of who they are representing, but Chief Davis never lost the trust of his
personnel and built a supporting coalition inside as well as outside of the department. The
Administrator style of leadership

The Effects Of Serotonin On The Central Nervous System Essay
The Jolly Neurotransmitter If you have been diagnosed with depression, you most likely will be
told it is due to a deficiency of serotonin. Serotonin is regarded by many people as the basic
neurotransmitter, or chemical hormone, that regulates mood. It plays the central role in the
regulation of human mood and temperament. Serotoninis an inhibitory neurotransmitter which
works with the excitatory sympathetic systems, like adrenaline and dopamine, in the central
nervous system. Most widely researched are the effects on the central nervous system. An
oversupply of serotonin can occur, though it is not as common, and it can cause vivid
hallucinations, vascular disorders, and psychotic disorders. If you have a sustained decrease in
serotonin, the following will occur: increase in anxiety, loss of interest, and lack of concentration.
Having a decrease or imbalance in the body sounds somewhat alarming, but there are ways to cope
and restore normal balances regarding serotonin. Serotonin is created by a biochemical conversion
process which combines tryptophan, a component of proteins, with tryptophan hydroxylase, a
chemical reactor. The physiological activity of serotonin begins in the brainstem in groups of brain
cells called Raphe nucleus. Serotonin brain cells then go to various regions of the central nervous
system by branching out throughout the brain. Doesn t that sounds just like something Sheldon
Cooper would say? I thought so. Together they form, 5 hydroxytryptamine

Lucretius On Death
One of the most ancient mystery yet unsolved is the question pertaining to death and the afterlife.
This mystery is one of the fundamental studies in both field of philosophy and religion.
Comparing those who believe in a god existing religion against those who don t, we often see
many differences in the answers relating to death. In the contrary, the similar answers to theist and
atheist are evident strongly in two great thinkers and their works. The focus will be on Socrates
speech in the Apology by Platosetting in 399 BCE and De Rerum Natura by Titus Lucretius300
years later. Titus Lucretius, an atheist or agnostic Roman poet and philosopher inspired by the
works of Epicurus. Lucretius believed in the theory of atomism which lead to materialistic thinking
and how atomism affects how one should view the purpose of life especially at the end of one s
life. Lucretius has written his thoughts on death at Book III of De Rerum Natura the translation
used is by Rolfe Humphries which translates the title as The Way Things Are. In The Way Things
Are, Lucretius makes three main arguments; there is no need for the fearof death, the fear itself is
the source of human evil, and the living life is far worse than death. These arguments are towards
the general public of Romans especially those who are religious (both Roman and Greek mythical
and religious influences). Socrates, on the other hand, is quite religious evident in his holy mission
to test the wise ness of others.

Satires Used In Macfarlane Behind The Media
MacFarlane Behind the Voices Seth MacFarlane has voiced over 142 characters from 30
different titles, but he is probably most famously known for his role as Peter Griffin on Family
Guy. His love for animation began around the age of two, when he was able to draw cartoon
characters like Fred Flintstone; and around the age of nine, he published comic strips in the local
newspaper of his hometown in Kent, Connecticut. Seth went on to pursue a degree in Fine Arts at
Rhode Island School of Design, and around age 24 he became an executive producer. He then
went on to write a few hit adult television series in the 2000 s including Family Guyand American
Dad; both in which he voices characters. An ample amount of his success comes from the way
he incorporates satirical techniques into his scripts. MacFarlane demonstrates different satirical
techniques in Family Guy and American Dad, while exploring different institutionalized ideas
of race, gender, and religion. Satires used in many ways to move an audience, especially on
television. Family Guy for instance, utilizes many satirical techniques in it s episodes. An
adequate amount of MacFarlane s episodes attack sensitive topics of life, such as: racism,
women s rights and religion. In season seven, episode two of Family guy, the episode starts in a

California Psychological Inventory Essay
The California Psychological Inventory (CPI) is a sophisticated assessment developed to not
only measure personality but also to predict how people will react in different situation. It is a
more indepth version of MBTI. The purpose of this test is to provide a portrait of both personal
and work related characteristics. It is a self report inventory, and a personality assessment. It is
empirically derived by test taker s drives, motivations, interpersonal style, and ways of leading.
CPI used common factors that are easier to be understood by test takers to measure their
interpersonal skills, self management skills, motivation and thinking styles, and personal
characteristics. Your CPI report is divided into four parts, however, we will only discuss the
first, second and the last part of the result in the report. First. The first part of the CPI report
explains the reliability of the protocol. The purpose of this component is to assure you that there
is no evidence of invalidity from your CPI report because you did not input too many responses
that are atypical or random. This also show that you did not overly favorite a self portrait or
unduly criticize your self representation. Second. The second part of the CPI report provides you
a classification for type and a classification for level along with the corresponding scores. CPI
report uses T score to make sense your scores which means that CPI compares your score with
other individuals scores in the U.S. You will see raw

The first President of the United States of America, George Washington, dreamed of a future where The United States would Possess the strength of a Giant and there will be none who can make [her] afraid. More than two hundred years later the United States has achieved global power, that would even surpass Washington s wildest imaginings. Iodine Clock Reaction Introduction: First discovered by Hans Heinrich Landolt in the 19th century, the Iodine Clock reaction is what is described as a chemical clock reaction, and today is one of only few known to science. It is useful as a tool in determining the rate of a chemical reaction due to a marked change in the color of the reacting solution when a particular reaction has been completed. The process is also practical as an introduction to reaction rates and kinetics. A solution of hydrogen peroxide is mixed with one containing potassium iodide, starch and sodium thiosulfate. After a varying amount of time the colorless mixture suddenly turns dark blue which is one of a number of reactions related to the iodine clock. The positive points of the lab would ... The eye hand coordination of a human simply cannot be trusted to be entirely accurate which is why there was uncertainty about the accuracy of the stopwatch.Although the conduction of this experiment was straightforward, it would be better if we had access to more potassium iodide. The concentration of potassium iodide was too low, and as a result it delayed the time that the reaction took place. For example, in trial 2, the portion of sodium thiosulfate is higher than potassium iodide s, so the reaction delayed. The concentration of potassium iodide would be higher if the potassium iodide provided to us was not diluted. The potassium iodide provided was at a concentration of 0.2 moles and if it were at a higher concentration, we would ve gotten a quicker reaction. As an alternate method for this lab, solid potassium iodide could be used instead of liquid potassium iodide since the amount of solid potassium iodide can alter the concentration of the solution. They determined that Stielow was not guilty due to the conclusion that his firearmwas not used in the crime. Following this case Waite was inspired to develop a systematic process for documenting ballisticsinformation to avoid making mistakes in later cases. After this Waite began to travel to different firearm manufacturers to document the process of creating the firearms to study the different characteristics in each. Anne Bradstreet does just this in her poem The Author to Her Book. She brilliantly takes the fears and worries of publishing a book into treating it as if it was her own child and, in many respects, that is what a book is to its author. There are many elements used to give the reader the sense what the author sees the book as through metaphors, complete imagery to visualize the scene, and voice to let the reader know just how difficult it is as an author but not just an author, a female author. Bradstreet successfully aids readers with this with the voice she gives the Author in this poem. Revisiting all the metaphors and visuals, it s easy to at least see that this is a motherly like person who regrets the fact she must boot what she feels is a somewhat messy, child out the door. It s a voice filled, once again, with worry, regret, a motherly figure hoping her child will find its way in the world. If one wonders why somebody would have so much worry for the flaws of their creation, it is important to note two factors. Right out the gate the reader knows this author is poor, so she needs money. This is revealed when she says, And for thy Mother, she alas is poor, (Line 23). Seventeenth century is not like today where poor means the government will at least help to an extent, so the person isn t out of luck. There were efforts in the seventeenth century to help the poor but for the most part, that person was kind of out of luck. The second thing is just being an author in this time. In every respect, line 23 right here draws conclusion to the voice of this poem, especially if the reader hasn t read it already. With computing and telecommunications changes in recent years there is potential for the road pricing scheme, which was a component of the labour manifesto in 2005 using satellite navigation to track vehicle activity, to be developed and implemented. There is a correlation between work flexibility and income so people with less income will have to pay the peak time charges and the Lorenz curve will shift. Societies fail to comprehend that the genderroles placed on men and women mostly occur in middle class America. Would it impact our lives for the better? Would people think of you as a less kind person? I think greed has different parts to it. Greed could be a dangerous quality. You should not be greedy in order to maintaining a positive friendship or if you want people or friends to like you. It would be more effective for you to be selfless, even if it s the most challenging time for you. If you are greedy your whole life, then you finally chose to be selfless, then your friends or people will still dislike you and nothing would change. If you are a selfless person, people will treat you better and will tend to like you more. A while ago when I was watching a Youtube video about a guy dressed up as a homeless person walking around asking for money, because he wanted to test peoples generosity. The man dressed as a homeless walked around for hours and hours asking rich and middle class people for any spare change. Everyone ignored him and kept walking until another actual homeless person arrived and supported him by giving fake homeless person some money. Then the fake homeless person gave the real homeless person $100 and he thanked him for his support. Then give to the world the best you have. And the best will come back to you. Madeline Bridges. Despite the homeless man not having much and having very little, he still gave what he had even though he needed it more. By giving the fake homeless man some money, the real homeless man received $100 in return and kept his money. People should be generous and selfless to one another in order for people to be generous and selfless to them back. As we experience through life, we have to know that we should treat people how we want to be treated and it shouldn t matter which situation we are in. People who show more generosity to others get respected and people tend to like them, but the people who show selfishness and are greedy are the ones who get disliked more often and people tend to lose their respect for them. Correlations and Confounding Variables Correlations Confounding Variables Correlations are measurements on the various variables that show a relationship among the variables (Correlations, 2013). They determine an association between variables and how variables are associated with each other. Confounding variables are third party variables that can show relationships among the dependent and independent variables without presenting a viable relationship with the individual study (Spunt, 2011). The confounding variables can show relationships that are not necessarily true and do not prove changes in variables are caused by other variables. Correlations do not always mean that the changes in variables cause changes in other variables and the confounding variables can cause a correlation that is not necessarily true. Correlation measurements can show if and how variable pairs are related (Correlation, 2012). Quantifiable, or specific amounts, of data are used to determine statistical significance in measurements. The statistical significance determines how likely the correlations are viable measurements or can be due to sampling errors or confounding variables that may not show true results. Significance levels are used to determine the viability of the measurements. The street women barely made enough to make it through a twenty four hour span, the slave girls in the brothels made profits for the brothel keeper, and the professional party girl lived off her talents (Davidson, pg. 86). At the symposiums, women were hired for entertainment as well as sexual pleasure by people of merit: artists, poets and political aristocrats (Davidson, pg. 77). Women would often be paid for their company, not just the act of sex (Davidson, pg. 77). Napoleon realizes this truth and takes full advantage of it early on in the story. In George Orwell s allegorical novel Animal Farm, Napoleon seizes control of the now independent farm. He allows the pigs to be educated and excludes the others. However, he personally educates some puppies, foreseeing them as a powerful weapon to gain full authority over the animalsand to reduce distrust that could lead to revolt. As he continues to rule, he acquires more power and he uses it to violate and change laws so that they best benefit him and his reign. Fortunately for him, he already wields the power of education, enabling him to rise almost effortlessly to power; With their superior knowledge it was natural that they should assume leadership (pg. 21). This is a subtle infraction of the principles clearly stated in the commandments of Animalism. Equality is supposed to apply to everyone and every situation, but the animals are accustomed to having a leader, therefore, it is second nature for them to rely on a person higher than them. Sadly for the majority of the naГЇve animals, the pigs ascend to power simply because the weapon of education is pointing at them and they are found weaponless and unable to defend themselves. Animalism is turned into an oligarchy, rule by the elite, in this case the pigs are the elite because they are more educated than the animals. Napoleon not only wants power over the lowly farm animals, but he seeks absolute control over the entire farm, including the remaining pigs. To do this, he again takes advantage of the power that lies in education; He said that the education of the young was more important than anything that could be done for those who were already grown up (pg. 26). Character Analysis Of Ark Angel Josh Kennelly Mr. Mariano English 9 13 November 2017 Ark Angel Book Report A complex character is a character that has a variety of traits and different sides to their personality. In this story, the complex character I chose was Alex Rider. This is because throughout the story, he does many intriguing, engaging, and critical actions. This is what makes him my complex character. Over the course of the story, Alex learns how to deal with and cope with people trying to kill him. Analytically and effectively, he interacts with the characters in different ways as the story goes on when he learns the good and bad people. The novel starts off with Alex Rider in a hospital recovering from an assassination attempt caused by the terrorist organization Scorpia. He meets a teen his age named Paul Drevin son of Russian multibillionare Nikolei Drevin and host of the Ark Angelproject and forms an alliance with him. This action is complex because forming an alliance can be very difficult. Later, one night, a group of four men arrive in the hospital in an attempt to kidnap Paul Drevin. Alex, in an attempt to rescue Paul, pretends to be Paul himself and overpowers the four men, before eing knocked out by a fifth man. This shows how complex he is. Alex is captured by the men and taken to an abandoned apartment. The men reveal themselves to be Force Three, an eco terrorist group led by a man named Kaspar. Alex proves that he is not Paul Drevin, but Force Three burns the tower and leaves Alex to die anyway he escapes using a tightrope. Horowitz describes, I m not afraid of Force Three, he blustered. I m not afraid of anyone (6). This quote shows how Rider is intriguing. Apparently grateful for Paul being spared, Nikolei Drevin invites him to come and stay in luxury with him for two weeks. At the New York airport, Alex is taken to the CIA, who tells him that Drevin is a banker for numerous criminal organizations. • 33. Case Study Of Chief Davis Executive Style After carefully reading the case studies, I concluded that Chief Davis executive style is in line with The Statesman and Chief Fortier s executive style is in line with The Administrator. The Statesman style stresses leadership and Chief Davis had a strong subordinate leadership in which he allowed their thoughts and ideas to be put into place (Cordner, 2016). The Statesman focuses on the department s interests by being in constant contact with the community as well as the government and gives them tasks in order to provide leadership within the community. Chief Davis focused on building support from outside of the agency by becoming transparent with the community and by allowing them to see what decisions were being made. Chief Davis had strong ties to the local businesses and as a result, they heavily supported the Lowell PoliceDepartment. A strong indicator that the LPD had the backing of their community was that a fundraiser led by a local businessman to raise some $200,000 to buy the department s mobile precinct (Cordner, 2016, p. 488). Chief Davis also had the strong support from Senator Paul Tsongas, who was a resident of Lowell and worked well with the city government. By being involved in the local governmentas well as the university and businesses in Lowell, Chief Davis was extremely successful in getting community and monetary support for his department (Cordner, 2016). Chief Davis was also successful in convincing the residents in the community to build a new precinct in the crime riddled Cambodian neighborhood. This was largely done because he had the trust and support of the community as well as seeking the help and advice from outside of the department in Linda Hart. Chief Davis even was able to win over one of his non supporters by hiring Cambodian and Latino officers to help close the communication gap between the police department and the minority communities. The Statesman can often have a negative impact on a department because the department members feel that he or she loses touch of who they are representing, but Chief Davis never lost the trust of his personnel and built a supporting coalition inside as well as outside of the department. • 34. The Effects Of Serotonin On The Central Nervous System Essay The Jolly Neurotransmitter If you have been diagnosed with depression, you most likely will be told it is due to a deficiency of serotonin. Serotonin is regarded by many people as the basic neurotransmitter, or chemical hormone, that regulates mood. It plays the central role in the regulation of human mood and temperament. Serotoninis an inhibitory neurotransmitter which works with the excitatory sympathetic systems, like adrenaline and dopamine, in the central nervous system. Most widely researched are the effects on the central nervous system. An oversupply of serotonin can occur, though it is not as common, and it can cause vivid hallucinations, vascular disorders, and psychotic disorders. If you have a sustained decrease in serotonin, the following will occur: increase in anxiety, loss of interest, and lack of concentration. Having a decrease or imbalance in the body sounds somewhat alarming, but there are ways to cope and restore normal balances regarding serotonin. Serotonin is created by a biochemical conversion process which combines tryptophan, a component of proteins, with tryptophan hydroxylase, a chemical reactor. The physiological activity of serotonin begins in the brainstem in groups of brain cells called Raphe nucleus. Serotonin brain cells then go to various regions of the central nervous system by branching out throughout the brain. Doesn t that sounds just like something Sheldon Cooper would say? I thought so. • 35. Lucretius On Death One of the most ancient mystery yet unsolved is the question pertaining to death and the afterlife. This mystery is one of the fundamental studies in both field of philosophy and religion. Comparing those who believe in a god existing religion against those who don t, we often see many differences in the answers relating to death. In the contrary, the similar answers to theist and atheist are evident strongly in two great thinkers and their works. The focus will be on Socrates speech in the Apology by Platosetting in 399 BCE and De Rerum Natura by Titus Lucretius300 years later. Titus Lucretius, an atheist or agnostic Roman poet and philosopher inspired by the works of Epicurus. Lucretius believed in the theory of atomism which lead to materialistic thinking and how atomism affects how one should view the purpose of life especially at the end of one s life. Lucretius has written his thoughts on death at Book III of De Rerum Natura the translation used is by Rolfe Humphries which translates the title as The Way Things Are. In The Way Things Are, Lucretius makes three main arguments; there is no need for the fearof death, the fear itself is the source of human evil, and the living life is far worse than death. These arguments are towards the general public of Romans especially those who are religious (both Roman and Greek mythical and religious influences). Socrates, on the other hand, is quite religious evident in his holy mission to test the wise ness of others. ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Satires Used In Macfarlane Behind The Media MacFarlane Behind the Voices Seth MacFarlane has voiced over 142 characters from 30 different titles, but he is probably most famously known for his role as Peter Griffin on Family Guy. His love for animation began around the age of two, when he was able to draw cartoon characters like Fred Flintstone; and around the age of nine, he published comic strips in the local newspaper of his hometown in Kent, Connecticut. Seth went on to pursue a degree in Fine Arts at Rhode Island School of Design, and around age 24 he became an executive producer. He then went on to write a few hit adult television series in the 2000 s including Family Guyand American Dad; both in which he voices characters. An ample amount of his success comes from the way he incorporates satirical techniques into his scripts. MacFarlane demonstrates different satirical techniques in Family Guy and American Dad, while exploring different institutionalized ideas of race, gender, and religion. Satires used in many ways to move an audience, especially on television. Family Guy for instance, utilizes many satirical techniques in it s episodes. An adequate amount of MacFarlane s episodes attack sensitive topics of life, such as: racism, women s rights and religion. California Psychological Inventory Essay The California Psychological Inventory (CPI) is a sophisticated assessment developed to not only measure personality but also to predict how people will react in different situation. It is a more indepth version of MBTI. The purpose of this test is to provide a portrait of both personal and work related characteristics. It is a self report inventory, and a personality assessment. It is empirically derived by test taker s drives, motivations, interpersonal style, and ways of leading. CPI used common factors that are easier to be understood by test takers to measure their interpersonal skills, self management skills, motivation and thinking styles, and personal characteristics. Your CPI report is divided into four parts, however, we will only discuss the first, second and the last part of the result in the report. First. The first part of the CPI report explains the reliability of the protocol. The purpose of this component is to assure you that there is no evidence of invalidity from your CPI report because you did not input too many responses that are atypical or random. This also show that you did not overly favorite a self portrait or unduly criticize your self representation. Second. The second part of the CPI report provides you a classification for type and a classification for level along with the corresponding scores. CPI report uses T score to make sense your scores which means that CPI compares your score with other individuals scores in the U.S. You will see raw ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
