Sorrow And Grief In Romeo And Juliet
Romeo and Juliet, one of many Shakespeare tragedy plays, reveals that Shakespeare thinks love
brings sorrow and grief. The play tells a story about two star crossed lovers named Romeo and
Juliet, who live in two different households that hate each other. Many problems arise with
Romeo and Juliet loving each other, but being enemies in nature. The story is told by many
characters, including Romeo and Juliet. Through this, Shakespeare uses dramatic irony,
repetition of epithets, and pathos to show how love brings sorrow and grief. Dramatic irony is
seen throughout the whole play many times, but one time stands out when the main character
Romeo slays Tybalt, kinsmen to the Capulets (Juliet s Family), out of sheer anger. Consequently,
Romeo was banished. Said in the play by Paris, he stated, Immoderately she weeps for Tybalt s
death, And therefore have I little talk of love (Rom.IV.i.6/7). Paris thinks that Juliet weeps for
Tybalt being slain, but instead is weeping for Romeo who was banished from Verona. Following
the banishment incident, Juliet remained in a coma like death that she put herself into not
marry Paris, but everyone thought of Juliet being dead, even Romeo. By her tomb, Romeo
spoke, Beauty s ensign yet is crimson in thy lips and in thy cheeks (Rom.V.iii.94/95). The coma
was to end and she was to wake any minute that Romeo went to Juliet, nevertheless Romeo didn t
know of the potion that put her in the coma. Full of grief, Romeo proceeded to kill himself even
though he noticed that Juliet looked well alive. Previously, when Romeo was banished and
Juliet in the coma, many examples of repetition of epithets happened during those scenes.
Romeo and Juliet has many characters expressing their sorrow with the repeated use of
adjectives to describe their or another s state. When Tybalt was killed, many wept for their
kinsmen including the nurse of the Capulet s. The nurse exclaims, We are undone, lady, we are
undone. Alack the day, he s gone, he s killed, he s dead (Rom.III.ii.43/44). The nurse repeatedly
states about Tybalt being killed and is dead. She is so stricken by grief that she doesn t say who
was killed and Juliet gets confused about who got killed, Tybalt, Romeo, or both. Soon after,

Who Is Willa Cather s Admiration In My Antonia
Willa Cather has a strong admiration for the character Antonia in My Antonia. The introduction of
My Antonia states that the narrator and Jim were to write down all they knew of her in order to
maybe get a picture of her. I believe this strong admiration is because of the characteristics that are
shown by Antonia throughout the story. She is a hardworking girl that belongs to a Bohemian
family who has started a farm in Nebraska. Not only is she hard working but throughout the story
she shows characteristics of being strong both inside and out. Also, it is very apparent that she
wants to be independent and make her own decisions. I think Willa Catheradmires the character
Antonia because she can, in a way, reflect on her characteristics

Persuasive Essay On The Issue Of The Media
There are 7.442 billion people living on this planet as we speak. That is a very large number. Now
let me give you a couple more numbers to go along with it. 70 million people; these are the
individuals who live with an eating disorder every single day. 36.7 million; these are the people
who live with HIV/AIDS in the world. The authors of the readings for which this argument comes
from all agree that one of the main reasons that these epidemics have become so out of hand is the
media involvement. I believe that if we were more educated about the subject matter at hand, we
could find affordable working treatments that these individuals need. Media is the main problem
for creating out of proportion ideas about illnesses that are truly a problem, but no a reason for
people to divide. One side of the spectrum says that the media involvement should be limited, while
the other side of the spectrum says that the media involvement should end. I believe that the media
involvement should be both limited and ended in certain ways.
The problem that we have constantly begun to hear about is the amount of media that becomes
involved in controversial topics or in personal affairs. Media has become an outrageous way for
people to be involved in the personal matters of others lives such as, celebrities and royals, but now
the media has been used to target certain groups and torment them for their own personal gain. This
has been done during the AIDS epidemic and the sudden rise in the

What Are The Differences Between The Divergent And The...
Science fiction is a genre of literature that focuses on possible outcomes of a near future (space,
future buildings, robots, aliens). A good example of this genre are the books Divergent, published
in 2011, and The Hunger Games, published in 2008. Science fiction is presented in both stories in
how the setting takes place in a near future where society as we know it collapsed and it had to be
build from the beginning with new sets of rules. In The HungerGames, Suzanne Collinsbuilds her
story around a country named Panem which is located in some part of North America. The
country was created after a series an uprising lead to millions of deaths and destroyed most of
what was known as North America. Because of this, a treaty was created to stop the war and to stop
future uprisings, the government created the Hunger Games. A similar approach is... Show more

This is mainly due to the issue of certain levels of unfairness reflected throughout both stories. In
Divergent, the people referred as factionless must live inside abandoned building located out of
the city s control. [insert quote 2]. This representation is similar to how people without education
are forced to choose jobs no one else s wants because of the income. In this situation, the people
without factions are beggars, janitors and other works that would disrupt the balance inside
factions. The factionless represent the lower class in society while also being a representation of
the critique the author is trying to convey towards of an utopian society that outcast others. Because
Tris lives in the beginning with Abnegation, she must do community service to help the factionless
with resources and seeing how these people are living with the scraps of other factions she is
distressed at how her society forces people into a faction and if not that then homeless and shunned

Replace Traditional Components Like Diesel Generators Essay
ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to replace traditional components like diesel generators which
are used to generate power in a microgrid with renewable energy sources for an Air force field
deployable hospital (AFFDH). In this paper we assume that Air force field deployable hospital
consumes approximately 70KVA of peak power. ETAP software is used to operate for island and
grid connected mode and also load flow and short circuit analysis are performed on the system for
variety of load and fault scenarios.
INTRODUCTION
Usage of renewable energy resources in production of electricity is considered as effective
method for environment and also for future generation by saving up the fossil fuels. The
investments on the renewables in United States in 2014 is about $38.3billion [1].The renewable
energy usage is increasing in United States mainly because of the state and local governments,
utility companies and other private investors. The U. S Department of Defense is the largest
consumer of electric energy, it is about 54% of the total government use [3][4]. Generally, for the
Department of defense existing commercial power is used or diesel generators. But the cost of fuel
keeps on increasing and diesel generators are not that feasible compared to new technologies.
During natural disasters or other attacks usage of diesel generators is not that recommendable
because the cost of investment is very high and also maintain fuel supply is difficult.

Igor Stravinsky s The Rite Of Spring
As I listened to Igor Stravinsky download 70, Stravinsky s musical piece differs from that of the
romantic era by the unadorned lines, raw energy, and elemental truth in which was incorporated
into his musical piece I listened to and analyzed The Rite of Spring. During this period modern
artists such as Igor Stravinskywere determined to turn the public away from Romantic idealism
and back to harsh reality, as stated. In this particular piece it was heard to have intensifying
metallic sounds which are not expected catching the listeners as well as the dancers of this
particular art off guard. Whereas, in the romantic era calm signifying sounds are incorporated in
each musical piece. In The Rite of SpringStravinsky takes the listeners as well

The Niger Delta Region
The Niger Delta Region of Nigeria produces a significant portion of the combined oil wealth of
Nigeria. Since 1956 when oil was first struck in Oloibiri in Southern Nigeria, the Niger Delta region
has accounted for over 90 per cent of Nigeria s oil income; however, the region has continually
suffered from environmental neglect, disintegrating infrastructures, high rate of unemployment,
social deprivation, abject poverty and widespread conflict. There have been incessant calls for the
multi national corporations( MNCs ) operating in the area to demonstrate the value of their
investments to Nigeria by undertaking increased corporate social responsibility( CSR ) initiatives
that provide for environmental friendly practices as well as direct social benefits such as local
employment, new infrastructure, schools and improved health care delivery. In addition, the
Nigerian regulatory measures enforcing the adoption of codes and conduct of CSR policies by
these companies, their reporting practices and interaction with leading CSR institutions have either
been non existent or inadequately formulated and have therefore failed the entire population. The
existing legal frame work needs to be reformulated into one which is fit for purpose. The is a dire
need for an effective, independent management and enforcement of the host state s regulatory
exercise to alleviate the current perilous state of the region in particular and the country in general.

Helicopter Parenting Hypothesis
In the experiment Helping or Hovering? The Effects of Helicopter Parenting on College Students
Well Being, the researchers proposed multiple hypotheses. Their first proposed hypothesis was that
the college students perceptions of their parents engaging in helicopter parenting behaviors would
be related to higher levels of depression and anxiety (Lemoyne and Buchanan 2011) as well as
decreased satisfaction with their life (Segrin et al. 2012). In brief, that means that college students
who had helicopter parents would suffer from higher levels of anxiety and depression, as well as
showing increased dissatisfaction for their life. Their second hypothesis was that the relationship
between parentingbehaviors and psychological outcomes... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The experiment was considered qualitative due to its small sample size that focused on underlying
reasoning and motives compared to a larger sample size that would generalize based of the
number of people which had been carried out through surveys or questionnaires. The participants
would have to answer select questions about their mother that showed either helicoptering traits or
autonomy. Overall, the researchers found their hypothesis to be true. Consistent with the idea,
our data suggests that an inappropriate level of parental behavior control is associated with
negative child outcomes. Specifically, helicopter parenting behaviors were related to higher
levels of depression and decreased satisfaction with life (Schiffrin, Liss, Miles McLean, Geary,
Erchull, Tashner, 2013). Researchers gathered these findings to conclude their hypotheses correct
through a series of questions. For example, the researchers asked the audience My mother
monitors who I spend time with the answers were then represented with factor 1 and factor 2 on
their graph to display their findings. Factor one displayed a child with a helicopter parent and
factor two displayed a parent that allowed the child autonomy. Factor one stood for yes, which
would have been a helicoptering parent s child and factor two was no, which would

This study investigates the effects of high hydrostatic pressure processing (HPP) treatments (200
600 MPa) of eight different lamb cuts on lipid oxidation, fatty acid and free amino acid content. In
general, the eye of loin, flat, heel and tenderloin cuts treated between 400 and 600MPa had higher
oxidation values exceeding 0.5 mg MDA/kg. Saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids content
were lower in HPP treatment of almost all cuts (except rump and heel cuts) at all pressures.
Polyunsaturated fatty acids content was lower in HPP treated inside, knuckle, and tenderloin cuts
at 600 MPa compared to control. Nine essential and 8 non essential amino acids were identified in
the lamb cuts. HPP increased the total free amino acids composition significantly (P

Donald Trump Political Cartoon
Donald Trump has experienced a lot of things in his lifetime, including winning an award for Worst
Supporting Actor. One of the most recent of his experiences has been his presidential campaign.
Throughout his campaign many cartoonists have frantically been using each of his actions as
material for their political cartoons. These cartoons have the ability to spark debate and explain
politics, or other topics, in a light unattainable through any other medium. The political cartoon The
Donald and Cartoonists by John Cole exaggeratedly illustrates Donald Trumps presidential
campaign through the eyes of a cartoonist by combining imagery with commentary, referencing
specific events in Trump s campaign, and conveying his own message about Donald Trump. By
employing both text and imagery, exaggeration, and symbolism, the cartoonist John Cole was
able to provide a clear image of how he views Donald Trump. Within the single frame cartoon is
a large bag labelled My Self Made Fortune (From Daddy) that Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, and a
member of the KKK all sit atop of. This not only serves to call out Trump on how he truly acquired
his four and a half billion dollar net worth, but also symbolizes that the only thing his campaign
stands on... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The use of large, exaggerated wording and actions creates a comical tone which appeals to Cole
s audience and purpose. John Cole wanted to communicate to people that Donald Trump is not
fit to be president as his campaign has been more of a practical joke than an actual attempt at
presidency. Cole is trying to reach people already against Trump, but also those in favor of
Trump. He wants to affect the general public that is aware of Donald Trump by persuading them
to be against the candidate. John Cole s The Donald and Cartoonists is a clear plead to turn people
away from the Republican presidential candidate, Donald

1.Sacrament. A sacrament is a Christian site recognized as of particular importance and
significance. There are various views on the existence and meaning of such rites. Many Christians
consider the sacraments to be a visible symbol of the reality of god, as well as a means by which
God enacts his grace.
2.Pope Leo X, was pope from 9 March 1513 to his death in 1521. The second son of Lorenzo the
Magnificent, ruler of the Florentine Republic, he was elevated to the cardinalate in 1489. He is
known primarily for his papal bull against Martin Luther and subsequent failure too stern the
Protestant Reformation, which began during his reign when Martin Luther (1483 1546) published
the 95 Theses and nailed them to the door of the Castle Church in Witenburg.
3.St. Peter s Basilica is an Italian Renaissance Church in Vatican City, the papal enclave within the
city of Rome. Designed principally by Donate Bramante, Michelangelo, Carlo Maderno and Gian

All Human Beings Possess A Basic Understanding Of Love
All human beings possess a basic understanding of love and are able to express love through
verbalizations, emotions, gestures, or other acts of kindness; however, the condition of the human
heart is tainted by sin and so is love in terms of humanity. Thus, human beings are unable to
understand and comprehend love s truest form which is found in the embodiment God s being. God
s love is communicated to mankind through the covenants, the wonders of creation, the personhood
of JesusChrist, and the power of the Holy Spiritwho subsequently seals God s offer of salvation
through the atoning death of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, those whom God allows Himself to be
known can also know God s love through God s providential care and sustainment... Show more

Hence, with all the confusion and mystery that surrounds the Trinity, it becomes difficult to
understand how each member of the Trinity shares in the attribute of God s love.
Without the Trinity, human beings cannot appreciate the attribute of God s love. Thus, God
reveals His attribute of love through Jesus Christ (John 3:16) while Jesus displays the attribute
of God s love through the crucifixion (John 15:13), and the Holy Spirit makes the attribute
known through the regeneration (Titus 3:5) of the believer (Dockery, 1992). Furthermore, love
itself is in triunity; hence, there must be the lover, the love, and the loved (Conner, 1980, p. 53).
In the Godhead, the attribute of God s love finds a perfect expression (Matthew 3:16; John
14:31) in the triunity of the Father who is the lover, the Son who is the loved, and the Holy
Spirit who is love (Conner, 1980, p. 53). Thus, the Father who so loved (John 3:16) gave the Son
his love (Colossians 1:13) and the love of the Spirit (Romans 15:30; Galatians 5:22) which is
expressed to mankind not only in creation but in redemption where the invisible is made visible
(Conner, 1980).
Adding to the complexity of God s love is the fact that the attribute of God s love is not easily seen
in the Holy Spirit as the Holy Spirit never truly reveals Himself to human consciousness; hence, the

Techniques used in Alfred Hitchcock s The Rear Window
Marta
Alfred Hitchcock was an amazing director and his films have lived on and are still thriving today
due to the techniques he used in his films and the way he created them. He was known for taking
the least probable scenarios and turning them into a masterpiece just by playing with light and
form or angles. Some of these films are Psycho, Perfect Crime, The Man Who Knew Too Much
and Rear Window. At first it was quite difficult to pinpoint a particular film to choose as he used
brilliant techniques in all of them. However, I have chosen to talk about Rear Window. This is
because the fact that the whole film occurs in the same setting and still holds our interest is very
hard to do but he was able to by using diverse camera angles and ... Show more content on

At first the scene is comedic, that is until the man from across the courtyard leaves his house at 2
a.m. We see Jeff s watch as the man comes in and out of his apartment 3 times. Each time, the
audience watch as Thorwald (the man) carries a large briefcase with him. Long shots and canning
are used to mimic Jeff s gaze as he follows thethorwald s progress. This makes the audience feel
suspicious and confused as to why someone would leave their apartment so many time in one night.
Too keep them a bit distracted, there are also individual scenes going in the other apartments so
that the audience don t have time to dwell on their suspicion. All is dark except for a couple of
houses which also gives the scene as sinister twist since at the start it was colorful but now it is
dark and the camera is not quite focused. Also, the cuts and fades in this scene are very
unpredictable and unsatisfying, because, as we are looking through Jeff s eyes, he constantly falls
asleep which then prevents us from seeing any more of what happens as the scene fades to
darkness. The shots are also unsatisfying because although they are mostly wide shots, we don t
quite see every thing we want to see.
The Next key scene I will be talking about is the climax when the murder is solved. It all starts
with the sudden death of a dog that was digging around in Mr.Thorwald s (the mad from across the
courtyard) flowers. This makes Jeff suspicious and suddenly he asks

Theme Of The Carousel In Something Wicked This Way Comes
Sometimes the man who looks happiest in town, with the biggest smile, is the one carrying the
biggest load of sin. There are smiles and smiles; learn to tell the dark variety from the light.
(Bradbury 135) Written in 1962, Ray Bradbury s Something Wicked This Way Comes is a fantasy
fiction novel which depicts the mysterious experience two teenage boys encounter one October
night in Green Town, Illinois. Within Something Wicked This Way Comes, Ray Bradbury utilizes
symbolism of the carousel in order to reveal the primary theme:beware of even the most innocent
things, for they can be so nefarious.
To begin with, the author incorporates the carousel as a symbol of evil disguised as innocence. In
reality, the carousel is a distortion which represents the fears and desires wicked people feed off of
in order to acquire ultimate power. In the novel, the author often refers to the carousel since it is
almost portrayed as a vault which is constantly revolving and depending on the innocent who
succumb to the dark side when their greatest fears are put to the test. According to Bud Martin, we
are drawn in and root for children because their security is being encroached upon, and it is their
love and innocence that both can make them victims and save them, in the end. The carousel is by
far the most powerful and important symbol within and throughout the novel because it is
considered the powerhouse or main source of energy which thrives solely on the souls of the weak
and naive who

Apartheid And The System Of Apartheid In South Africa
Ever since Hitler s reign of segregating the Jews from Germans during World War ll, nobody
thought that would ever happen again because of how horrible it was and how many lives were
lost because of it. That was until 1948 when Apartheid started. Apartheid is a system of racial
segregation in South Africa enforced through legislation by the National Party and the government.
The whites wanted domination of the non whites and all the power. To do so, the government got
rid of many of their rights. The black population was not very fond of this and wanted their rights
back. In fact, the black population made up 72% of South Africaand the whites only made up 16%,
which is way less than the blacks. The reason there was not many whites was because Britain
gained control over South Africa and were controlling everything and everyone. It started out
with a numerous amount of laws and statements the government created. The Afrikaner National
Party creates the policy of apartheid, initially putting it into effect. Then came classifying the
races during the Population Registration Act. Soon enough separate public spaces were created
to make sure the blacks and whites didn t interact. Homelands were created for the blacks,
striping them of their South African Citizenship and making them carry around passports. This
relates very closely to when Hitler made the Jews wear the star of david and carry around their
papers to identify them. Like the jews, the blacks were forced out of their homes and forced to
live on the new reserves. Everything that was happening helped the white minority gain more
power because the Africans were limited to what they could do. Since many blacks did not like
the pass laws that were created, they would go against them to support their families. The
consequences for not following the pass laws were harassment, fines, and getting arrested. This
led to many blacks wanting to get their rights back and be equal with the whites. Many tried to
end apartheid, including Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela was an anti apartheid radical and
leader of the African National Congress(ANC). He was determined to help the people in South
Africa regain their rights and equality. He decided to take a handful of

Myers-Briggs Couple Analysis
The couple I had the chance to sit with and give them the assessment is an extended family
member (only the wife). They have known each other for more than five years, but they just got
recently married for less than four months. They were engaged for a year and half and they got
married last July of 2015. The husband is 28 years old and the wife is 25 years old. Both partners
have never been engaged or married before. Both partners are Christian orthodox and they are very
spiritual; they regularly go to church every week and they also follow the bible commandments.
The couple is both Egyptians who knew each other from an Egyptian church. I would say that they
are in the upper middle class as the husband s highest education is masters of Science in electrical
engineering and the wife s highest education is bachelors of Science in manufacturing engineering.

My Defining Moment Analysis
I think as doctors and nurses, most of us have had that defining moment in our lives when we
knew we were supposed to be in medicine. For me, that moment was about twenty years ago. I
was outside helping my mom in the front yard. She was pushing a lawnmower and tripped over
a root. She fell hard to the ground splitting her knee open to the bone. I ran inside the house; not
to get my dad, but to go get a towel and bandages to stop the bleeding. I begged and pleaded with
my mother to let me come with her to the ER. Reluctantly she gave in and agreed to let me come.
From the moment I walked in the door, I was fascinated with everything I saw. The doctors and
nursing scurrying around, the lights, the sounds; I couldn t soak it up fast enough. I must have

wash it out). I remember watching him, and not wanting to leave the ER that night. It was at that
point I knew that I wanted to work in medicine.
Fast forward twenty years and my love for medicine has not changed; in fact I think it has only
deepened. I started working in a high intensity medical ICU over three years ago, and have never
looked back. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to say that I truly love my job. My face

Compare And Contrast Brave New World And Invisible Man
Brave New World by Aldous Huxley and Invisible Man by H.G. Wells both have characters with
complex minds. The authors were alive at the same time, and certain events affected both authors.
Wells published Invisible Man in 1897, but Huxley published Brave New World in 1931. Since
each author published when they were in their thirties and likely had a similar mindset at the time
of writing, their characters have an interesting link between them. Brave New Worldis about life
changing to fit liberal ideas. Invisible Man is the story of a power hungry guy. Between them,
they have characters with similar roles. Huxley made a character Bernard as a runt who is
unsatisfied with life and wants to be accepted. Wells made a character Marvel as a runt who is
satisfied with life and got bullied into service by the invisible man. Bernard may have been made
to show where Huxley thought he fit in his modern world, unsatisfied with the government and
wanting to change it. Wells may have made Marvel to represent his feelings of being forced to do
something he didn t think was morally correct. Characters Helmholtz and John savage of BNW are
both similar to Dr. Kemp of IM. All three characters are cast as the good guys, trying to do the
correct thing by modern standards. John and Kemp are both outcasts among the people they live
with, while Helmholtz and Kemp are both shown as being more intelligent than the people they live
around. Since both authors created characters with those

Inter-Professional Health Care Professionals (HCP)
Professional programs educate students in their respective scopes of study so that they become
experts in a specific health area. This can lead to confined patient care due to lack of understanding
surrounding other health care professionals (HCP)1,2. The health care system is not
compartmentalized, as seen through the collaboration many HCP s engage in daily in their
practice2,3,4. This concept of teamwork is paramount in providing a more holistic, patient based
approach to high quality care1,2,3,4,5. One barrier to providing this level of care is the
development of skills, attitudes, and understanding that helps foster environments for team based

Daniel Friesen stated that she was in a situation where her professional expertise was undermined
which negatively impacted patient care, a situation that could have been avoided with mutual and

students in medical school and the physiotherapy program were asked to engage in a 10 week study
with 3 hour sessions of academic IPE including presentations on scope, case studies, and dissections
with one another1. As a result, students had gained positive insight into the scopes of other
disciplines that helped them better understand and respect the HCP s role in patient care1. This
study showed a decrease in professional bias and increase in learning and interaction with other

participants show greater understanding of other professional scopes, strengths, and skills that
results in an effective team2,3. Therefore, academic IPE allows for open communication and

The Impact Of African Culture On The Brazilian Culture
Introduction:
Throughout the years of its findings and growth in Brazil, the Brazilian culture was influenced by
different cultures. It has been swayed by the African, Portuguese, Native American, and other
culture that did not make much effect. The Brazilian culture has been influenced in various ways.
Before the abolishment, African slaves were migrated from Africa to the New World , about forty
percent of the Africans from the slave trade were migrated to Brazil, with the total of about four
million African slaves. Afro Brazilians at that time were born in Brazil but still has a connection to
the African ancestry. They were imprisoned at the fazendas (farms) and they created their own
culture that was influenced by the African culture. Throughout the centuries, the African culture
grew more and more as the plantations continued to thrive not until that African slave were found
in every economic activity in Brazil. In the year of 1888, slavery was abolished and after that, the
African culture helped the increasement of the Brazilian empire with its own different ways. The
aftermath of slavery influenced the Brazilian culture with things such as their cuisine, herbal
medication, language, music, dance, fighting skills, and much more. After slavery went into
oblivion, racism was still going around the whole country, but as years went by all of the races
came together as a whole and created a nation. The spread of slaves after abolishment increased the

Growing Professional Goals
The Student Teacher as a Growing Professional (Goals 1 5) Areas of Strength (with evidence):
One of my strengths is that I have a strong sense of a clear commitment to uphold the principles
that should govern a democratic and pluralistic community (Goal 3). In the classes I teach I have
been working on creating a classroom environment that is both safe and a positive learning
environment. I created a class constitution during my first week of full immersion, and have been
working with students to ensure that the expectations are being followed. For example, when
students use disrespectful language in the classroom, I remind them about the class constitution.
Furthermore, Juliet said that I have created a safe community where students feel ... Show more

After every lesson I take time to assess what I should change for the next time I do a lesson.
Often during post conference conversations with Reiko I am able to identify places for
improvement on my own. Juliet also said that I am increasingly proactive, and initiating in
regards of being reflective. Also, I would say that compared to short practicum, I am much more
open and responsive to feedback and constructive criticism (Goal 4); I ask questions to clarify
the feedback I receive so that I am able to apply this feedback, and make changes to my future
lessons. Furthermore, I have been adjusting my lessons to better fit the needs of the students I
teach; my curriculum is continually and consciously reshaped through my experiences with a
variety of learners in a range of socio cultural contexts (Goal 1). Where in the past, I have been
worried about timing, I have been working on slowing down, and making sure that students
understand the content of the lesson. For example, the TPCASTT analysis of poems ended up
taking almost two more extra blocks then I had thought it would take. However, I also think that
slowing down the lessons has helped more students understand the analysis process better.
Additionally, I feel like I am gaining a stronger sense of what is best for particular students in
particular situations (Goal 5). When I see a student struggling, I am able to break down the
assignment or re explain the task in a different way so that the student understands it better. I have
one student in my class who needs some direction before she is able to understand the assignment.
I often help her with her pre write, and guide her as much as I can, so that she feels comfortable

Effects Of Plastic Surgery In South Korea
As long as I can remember, I ve wanted to be someone else, (Swanson 1).
South Korea, known as the world s capital of plastic surgery, is highly image conscious. It is
known that even scoring a job sometimes depends on how attractive you are. South Korea s
major aspects on plastic surgery include how it became so popular, the impact of America s
beauty standards on Koreas, and the reason as to why plastic surgery is so looked upon by both
women and men of all ages. Plastic surgery holds a great extent of meaning to the people of South
Korea.
In 1953, after the Korean War, South Korea was one of the world s poorest nations. The average
household earned less than one hundred dollars a year, so one can only imagine how poverty
stricken the country was, (The 1). At this time, the need to eat and survive came first, appearances,
second. The economy was finally boosted after the win of The 1988 Seoul Olympics. This is when
Korea became what it is today, a high tech industrialized economy, (Forbes 1). As people began to
gain wealth, they soon were able to spend more money on health and beauty. This era became to
be known as the Korean plastic surgery boom. The Korean plastic surgery boom is correlated with
the rapid economic boom that produced present day South Korea, (The 1).
As graduation gifts from their parents, High school age kids would receive plastic surgery. This
could almost be seen as a ritual, before they head out into the real world to face its

Gender And Dress Code In Public School
Madison Dixon
Mrs. Byrd
English Comp. I
November 8, 2017
Gender and Dress Code High school dress codes are rules for clothing that is deemed either
appropriate or inappropriate to wear to school. Standard codes in public schools, that don t have
uniforms, typically require students to have sleeved garments and leg wear that is a certain length.
At some schools, the term leg wear doesn t include leggings, while other schools permit leggings as
long as your shirt or other clothing reaches the length that shorts are required to meet. After
attending five public schools, three of which during my high school career, I can verify that these
were typically the enforced rules. All schools also had rules against hats and certain headgear,
though exceptions would sometimes be made, such as in the case of spirit week. My most
recent school has, for the most part, been very relaxed about dress codes. Most of the rules are
simply to maintain a piece of decency among the students. The code basically calls for
undergarments to remain concealed, provocative skin can t be shown, shirts must have sleeves,
and leg wear must be longer than your fingertips with your hands at your sides. However, there
are some inconsistencies with dress codes that I have noticed and can t seem to understand.
There seems to be lenience for boys when it comes to the enforcement of dress codes. Of course,
boys don t have a tendency to wear track shorts or tank tops to school. However, I ve been coded for

Tex Mex Food History

Tex Mex food is fusion on American and Mexican food. This type of food is very popular,
especially in the United States. Authentic Mexican food started in Mexico. The word Tex Mex
was used to describe Mexican descendants living in Texas, also known as Tejanos. As more and
more people settled in Texas, the popularity of Mexican food grew and grew. People started
attempting to make it themselves in their own kitchens, using Texan ingredients like beef and
wheat flour. Beef and wheat flour are two things not common in Mexico. Mexican restaurants in
Texas started to use more gringo elements into their dishes, like ground beef in enchiladas. This
resulted in a new invention, a delicious invention, of Tex Mex food. Traditional Mexican food use

The Motif of Poverty Throughout Crime and Punishment by...
Poverty is an essential motif in Crime and Punishment that enables characters to expose their
isolation from society. Raskolnikov demonstrates the true effect that poverty can have on an
unemployed man in the 1860s. Razumikhin is seen as Raskolnikov s foil character that reacts to
his form of poverty in the opposite way of Raskolnikov towards society. The weight of being
desperately pour effects Marmeledov to extensive lengths that ultimately ends in his death.
Crime and Punishment revolves around Raskolnikov and his amplifying guilt after he murders the
pawnbroker, Alyona. From the beginning of the novel his poverty is displayed in his living

Raskolnikov begins to alienate himself from his ex colleague, Razumikhin, although at points it is
Razumikhin who supports Raskolnikov the most. It forces Razumikhin to replace Raskolnikov in
situations that should have been left to his authority. In a situation where Raskolnikov should have
reassured Dounia and Pulcheria of their safety he waved his hand weakly to Razumikhin to cut
short the flow of warm and incoherent consolations he was addressing to his mother and sister
(Part 3. 1). As Raskolnikov began to slowly move away from any form of comfortable socialization
and a growing poverty situation, his stubbornness to contain his pride and dignity eventually builds
up to the brutal murder of Alyona.
Razumikhin is in a similar financial situation as Raskolnikov. Razumikhin foils Raskolnikov in his
response to a desperate situation such as struggling poverty. He faced his struggles with a trial and
error personality. His view stood that you never reach any truth without making fourteen mistakes
and very likely a hundred and fourteen (Part 3. 1). It was in these positive outlooks that make
Raskolnikov realize how intense his isolation was becoming.

What Is The Theme Of Marriage In Pride And Prejudice
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be
in want of a wife. This is the first line of the 2005 Pride and Prejudice movie and is significant to
the analyzation of attitudes towards romance and marriage during the early 1800s. The
relationships described in the movie were unique from each other but all had a similar underlying
theme throughout, money. Pride and Prejudiceby Jane Austenshowcases the correlation between
marriageand financial survival in the early 1800s. Woman using auspicious relationships for
their economic gain did not seem out of the ordinary. In Mr. Collins and Charlotte s relationship
this seemed to be the only reason for their courtship. Mr. Collins was to inherit Mr. Bennet s
estate when he passed away because he only had daughters and Mr. Collins was the next male
inherent. This touches on how women were not viewed as equals and men controlled social
status in the early 1800s. He attempted to marry a daughter in the Bennet family (Elizabeth) but
was rejected so he proposed to Charlotte, Elizabeth s friend. In the movie Charlotte is explaining
to Elizabeth that she is engaged to Mr. Collins and says Not all of us can afford to be romantic. I
ve been offered a comfortable home and protection. This quote showcases Charlotte s reason for
marriage is for financial stability. Additionally, she explains how she is twenty seven and a burden

Critical Book Review of Slaughterhouse Five
In Slaughterhouse Five, Kurt Vonnegut explains his experience of the World War II bombing of
Dresden, Germany. Vonnegut s creative antiwar novel shows the audience the hardships of the life
of a soldier through his writing technique. Slaughterhouse Five is written circularly, and time travel
is ironically the only consistency throughout the book. Vonnegut outlines the life of Billy Pilgrim,
whose life and experiences are uncannily similar to those of Vonnegut. In Chapter 1, Kurt Vonnegut
non fictionally describes his intentions for writing the book. Vonnegut personally experienced the
destruction of Dresden, and explains how he continuously tried to document Dresden but was
unsuccessful for twenty three years after the war. Vonnegut let

is no plot line, and that Vonnegut is freelance writing, however his work was greatly thought out,
for twenty three years actually. Vonnegut s constant confusion about the war and circular thoughts
left few options for techniques in which he could tell his story.
To portray the story clearly would have been virtually impossible, since the author himself didn t
even know the answers to his questions, so he approached it in a unique way. This organization, or
assumed lack thereof by the audience, indicates strongly Vonneguts deep confusion about life and
death, and his juggling with ideas over the concepts.
At some points in the story Vonnegut changes from third person to first person, indicating that he

Andrea Del Castagno Analysis
During the Renaissance, a religious view of the world made a huge impact on art. The biblical
character David became an emerging popular subject among artists. Although David s story is
quite simple, artists faced challenges creating a visual representation of the young hero. The two
main obstacles were discovering how to portray the body committing the act, and also rendering the
spirit of the act itself. Among the artists who tried to recreate this story visually were Andrea del
Castagno and Andrea del Verrocchio. Castagno introduced his form of the Davidthrough painting.
The piece was entitled David with the Head of Goliath, and was originally used as a parade shield.
It differed from common parade shields, which were decorated with simple coat and arms, due to
its rare painted scene. The shield was believed to have been carried in civic or religious processions
or have... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
His David is depicted in a confident pose after the battle with Goliath is already won, while
Castagno depicts David in both the moment of fighting the giant and after defeating him. Both art
works show Goliath s head under David s feet, but Castagno tells more of the biblical story in his
imagery and action. The piece being painted upon a shield also plays a testimonial role. In the Old
Testament, David is a young shepherd; he uses the motive that if God protects his sheep than God
too will protect him before going into battle with Goliath. By painting this imagery on a shield,
one can conclude that God is David s shield (David). Verrocchio s work lacks this deeper analytical
meaning. Andrea del Castagno s David with Head of Goliath stands 45 1/2 x 30 1/8 inches wide
at the top and 45 1/2 x 16 inches wide at the bottom. The work was made of tempera on leather on
wood. Castagno painted the piece in about 1450/1455. The work was part of the Widener
Collection, at the National Gallery of Art

Longoria Character Analysis
I think Longoria s character shows a lot of discipline for doing what is enforced to do. We see
how violence has affected his life and other people s perspective of him. He started out in the
Army at a very young age and carried out the harsh tasks that he was given, no matter how cruel
they were. Longoria is a strong minded person. For him to carry out some of the assignments he
was given, it takes a different kind of person. For example, the incident with the people in the
village. He murdered a whole village of innocent people. To me, this shows that Longoria is
ruthless. In a sense, I would almost say that he has lost his mind. After years of killing like he did,
how does he not have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Most people that must go through and
witness the things like Longoria are scarred for the rest of their life. For example, my grandfather
was in the military during Vietnam. He would wake up screaming in the middle of the night,
fireworks and loud noises bothered him, among other little things that would trigger his PTSD.
Violenceeventually takes its toll and I think it got the best of Longoria. The first altercation between
Antonio and Longoria happens about half way through the book. Antonio travels to the park where
Longoria usually plays chess and sets out to killhim. He arrives and asks for Longoria but he hasn t
arrived yet. After waiting, Longoria finally arrives. Antonio, so full of hate and vengeance, attacks
Longoria with a pipe. Longoria was

Examining the RNA Interference Mechanism in the dpy 13 Gene in C. Elegans Through Feeding
Mehdi Misto

Introduction: RNA interference, or RNAi, is a biological process in which RNA molecules
reduce the gene expression of an organism. This is done typically by causing the destruction of
specific mRNA molecules. RNAs are direct products of genes, these small RNAs can bind to
other mRNA molecules to either increase or decrease their activity like in the example of
preventing an mRNA from producing a protein. There are two types of RNA molecules that are
central to RNAi, these molecules are, micro RNA (miRNA) and small interfering RNA (siRNA).
The RNAi mechanism is found in many different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

experiment we are inducing RNAi through the process of feeding. To do so, a black pen is used to

is labeled with the date and dpy 13 . A black pen is then used to label the bottom of the plate seeded

of wild type worms are then picked and moved to the OP50 seeded plate labeled wild type . Any

the plate seeded with the dpy 13 RNAi feeding strain, and once again to move five L4 dpy 13

Peace in Yugoslavia From 1919 Until 1980 Essay
Peace in Yugoslavia From 1919 Until 1980
Peace in Yugoslavia meant unity. The country was a drawing together of different groups, which
held together from 1919 to the 1980. Before the First World War the Austria ruled the individual
countries of Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia as well as other countries such as Hungary as part of
the Hapsburg Empire. The other big empire was the Turkish Ottoman Empire. All the individual
areas had different ethnic groups and religions. The Croats were Roman Catholic, people living in
Bosnia were mainly Muslim, as were people living in Kosovo. Serbia was a separate independent

him. King Alexander had a Government dominated by Serbs, which made all of the decisions. He
refused to listen to wishes of Slovenes and Croats and would not give them any say in decisions
concerning their regions. In 1929, Alexander changed the country s name from the Kingdom of
the Serbs, Croats and the Slovenes and dismissed parliament so he could run the country as a
dictatorship. He used his Serb dominated Secret Police to deal with protests in Croatia and
Slovenia. Members of other ethnic groups were angered by the Kings dictatorship (especially the
Croats who wanted more control over their regions). A Croat resistance movement (formed as a
result of the removal of parliament) murdered Alexander during a visit to France in on 9th October
1934. He had, however, been a strong King, with definite ideas about how he had wanted to run the
country. His dictatorship unpopular as it had been with some groups, did help hold Yugoslavia
together.
Following King Alexander s assassination, his brother Prince Paul ruled the country, on behalf of
his nephew, who was too young

Comparing Physicalists with Dualists
INTRODUCTION Are we just bundles of physical particles, or are we something more?
Throughout the history of the modern and ancient world, there have always been questions
about what is it that this world is made of and likewise, what we ourselves are made of. Do we
actually have this beautiful, ethereal thing called a soul, or is this some unsubstantiated claim
that we just like to believe because it makes us feel better? The philosophers questioning the
nature of the mind/ soul and posing questions regarding them as those have traditionally
articulated their into two camps of theories (or at least an overwhelming majority fall into these
camps). There are the Physicalists, and there are the Dualists. To put their ideas in the most basic
of terms is fairly easy. Physicalists believe that 1) there is one thing/substance that constitutes the
entirety of the universe (namely matter) and 2) that is all there is and therefore, knowing the
physical particles accounts for everything (Stoljar 2009, 2 3). Dualists are quite a bit more
ambiguous and flexible in regards to theories, but think of them as counter physicalists . Most
dualists subscribe to the overall belief that 1) this universe is more than solely the physical 2) no
matter what the physical particles do constitute, be it 99.9999% of the world, it will never account
for everything, and 3) the mind or soul or at the very least some of its qualities or capabilities is
one of those unaccountable things, and is

The Controversial Success of Richard Wagner
Richard Wagner remains one the most respected and controversial figures in the world of opera
and filmmaking. He was a genius of his time and his work has stood the test of time despite the
negative image of the composer due to his racist leanings. Richard Wagnerwas born in Germany on
May 22, 1813, to become one of the most popular artists of that time for his epic operas . Though
he was written off by his teachers as weak in music, he wrote his first drama when he was 11 years
of age and wrote his first musical composition when he was 16 years old proving how ambitious he
was at a young age in his career. Wagner is known to have been a witty and fun loving person who
people would enjoy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was also impressed by Mozart s Requiem and therefore started his early piano sonata.
Although in his childhood he had been dismissed as being no good at the piano his works
proved that he was indeed talented. In 1831 he enrolled at the Leipzig University becoming a
member of the Saxon student fraternity and taught by Thomas Kantor Theodor Weinlig who was
so impressed that he refused to be paid by him. Wagner started composing his symphonies the
first being in C major. His inspiration came from Beethoven especially the Ninth Symphony and
in 1834 he became the Wurzburg theater chorus master. It is at this time that he met the love of
his life singer and actress Minna Planer in 1836. They had a marriage that was complicated by
deceit and betrayal as due to his lifestyle as a womanizer making his wife run away. Though they
reconciled later, they ended up divorcing after Wagner decided to marry

Consequences Of Work Family Conflicts And Enrichment
Consequences of Work Family Conflicts and Enrichment Role accumulation and work family
enrichment
There are three ways in which participation in multiple roles often referred to as role accumulation
can produce positive outcomes for individuals. First, work experiences and family experiences can
have additive effects on well being. Research has consistently demonstrated that role accumulation
can have beneficial effects on physical and psychological well being, especially when the roles are
of high quality. In addition, satisfaction with work and satisfaction with family have been found to
have additive effects on an individual s happiness, life satisfaction, and perceived quality of life.
Such research suggests that individuals who participate in and are satisfied with work and
family roles experience greater well being than those who participate in only one of the roles or
who are dissatisfied with one or more of their roles. Second, participation in both work and
family roles can buffer individuals from distress in one of the roles. For example, research has
shown that the relationship between family stressors and impaired well being is weaker for
individuals who have more satisfying, high quality work experiences. In a similar vein, the
relationship between work stress and impaired well being is attenuated for individuals who have a
more satisfying, high quality family life. These moderator effects suggest that a diverse portfolio of
social roles buffers an individual

The Fight For African American Independence
In this episode we learned about the struggle for Africa s independence. The fight for colonial
independence was much more complex than appeared on the surface. The Africans wanted their
land back and the colonists wanted to keep their newly acquired land, but it was not that simple or
easy. Once the Africans got their independence they could not be separated from their home
countries. Intricate ties between the colonies and home countries they could not be so easily
broken. This element in my opinion is one of the reasons the fight for freedom in Africalasted so
long.
I never realized just how many hundreds of thousands of Africans were drafted during WWII. In
addition, I never realized how much hope they were filled with when the Atlantic Charter was
passed. Hope that came when hearing that within it, it said that each person has a right and the
everyone should be respected. However, when peace came, nothing seemed to be different ... Show

Portugal hung on to their rule even after other colonies began to be liberated. The liberation wars
were long and painful for both sides. Some Africans thought they would never be independent
and always be bound by the colonies. When they finally stood up and formed an army to fight
back, they insisted that they were not a political army ; instead that they were instruments for
independence, armed militants and how after they achieved their goal they would go back to
cultivating the soil. Portugal did multiple horrible acts including assassinating their leader at the
time. However, their worse act was when they wiped out an entire village during the war, and
even today only grim remains remain where the village once stood. Then after all of that they
stayed behind to help. I feel like its crazy that after such a long struggle either one of the sides
would want anything to do with each

Willy Loman Critical Analysis
An individual s ability to foresee into the future can often be regarded as a gift, but this ability
can also be a curse. One can either anticipate or fear for the future. Oftentimes, fear motivates
individuals to create and achieve a vision of what they desire for the future. In the play, Death of a
Salesman by Arthur Miller, an aging salesman, Willy Loman, struggles to earn a living as well as
struggle to maintain his relationship with his family. When an individuals feardictate how they
should think and act, this can lead to the inability of the individual to make appropriate life altering
decisions. If an individual clings on to their fears they maintain their foresight, however, when one
gambles with their fears they may lose their vision for their future and may lead to a desirable
outcome.
Initially, Willy Loman is revealed to have been abandoned by his father and later on his brother
when he first revisits the past, establishing the root of his fears. Willy s abandonment raised multiple
questions and issues that he was unable to find the answers to. This event developed his deep
insecurity about being well liked and ironically prompted him to abandon his family. Willy s
perception towards appearances led him to be unsuccessful in business as well as having
disconnected relationships with those around him. Willy has built an unattainable expectation that
is contradictory to his nature and it began with him clinging on to being a salesman knowing that

Good Afternoon Tracey Analysis
Good Afternoon Tracey, I hope you re having a great day! I wanted to reach out to say that it was
a quite overwhelming and emotional to see you last weekend. Although, I truly have love and
appreciation for you on many levels, I also have hurt feelings about our last professional
interaction. I ve cleared my conscience and apologized to folks for the role I played in our fall
out they did not (I didn t expect them to). I doubt that she s apologized to you for positioning
you to play a main role in my departure (y all might have even discussed how I should have been
gone sooner who knows?) You may never speak up about how you really feel. That takes courage
and strength. At any rate, I have always wondered and even tried to rationalize how it made sense
for you to keep the lie and not fess up to the fact that you allowed the conflict to continue and you
never told the truth about letting me leave SHIFT early which caused the questions about my
whereabouts and ultimately me being fired from DF. You never told them that

gave me permission to leave. I don t regret it because it s not in my character to sell out to save
myself. God provides. I know you were pulled into lots of mess, but you made a choice. I also
made some choices. It s life. I don t fault you alone, I just wish that you had told them the truth. I
wish that you would have stayed neutral if you couldn t risk your own lively hood. I would have
respected you had you been honest. Cause when the chips we re down, she let you sit in that room

The Process Of Learning The Rubik s Cubes
This week I am starting my final project. I have come to the conclusion that I will learn the
Rubik s cube in the next few weeks. Hopefully, I will be able to learn to complete it at the least
and memorize the solution if possible. I went out and purchased a Rubik s cube for about 15
dollars a few days ago. Of course I ve already scrambled it and threw my sad attempt at
accomplishing something without these foreign directions that come out of the box. I guess I can
relate this to the process of converting to a new religion or being introduced to a new religion. It s
very confusing and overwhelming, being careful not to misinterpret anything at face value. I feel
intimidated, but determined to learn this little three by three cube. Laziness... Show more content on

I ve already watched a few YouTube videos of beginner guides other enthusiasts have created.
Sadly, being able to complete the Rubik s cube in the future will not make me a Shaman. Hinduism
is the main focus of this week. This is also the week I committed to learning the orientations of the
Rubik s cube and the terminologies I didn t understand in the directions. I ve had somewhat of
an understanding of the direction, but still have a hard time performing the action correctly. For
example, the instruction will say to rotate this side inverted (counter clockwise) and I will
misinterpret and just rotate it regular (clockwise). This is kind of like forgetting your rights
from your lefts. This is frustrating because if one move is messed up everything you ve done
goes to waste and are forced to restart. The orientation labels and instruction are to the Rubik s
cube as the Vedas are to Hinduism. At this point I have the first two algorithms almost down, but
struggle quite a bit with anything beyond that. The algorithms jump from being four notations to
eight notations. I expect my learning progress from here out to be a little slower than how fast
and easy it was for me this week. I just need to set some time to dedicate to learn the Rubik s
cube in the coming weeks so I do not procrastinate if I want to be able to complete the Rubik s
cube completely by memory. This week we touched a little on

  • 2. Sorrow And Grief In Romeo And Juliet Romeo and Juliet, one of many Shakespeare tragedy plays, reveals that Shakespeare thinks love brings sorrow and grief. The play tells a story about two star crossed lovers named Romeo and Juliet, who live in two different households that hate each other. Many problems arise with Romeo and Juliet loving each other, but being enemies in nature. The story is told by many characters, including Romeo and Juliet. Through this, Shakespeare uses dramatic irony, repetition of epithets, and pathos to show how love brings sorrow and grief. Dramatic irony is seen throughout the whole play many times, but one time stands out when the main character Romeo slays Tybalt, kinsmen to the Capulets (Juliet s Family), out of sheer anger. Consequently, Romeo was banished. Said in the play by Paris, he stated, Immoderately she weeps for Tybalt s death, And therefore have I little talk of love (Rom.IV.i.6/7). Paris thinks that Juliet weeps for Tybalt being slain, but instead is weeping for Romeo who was banished from Verona. Following the banishment incident, Juliet remained in a coma like death that she put herself into not marry Paris, but everyone thought of Juliet being dead, even Romeo. By her tomb, Romeo spoke, Beauty s ensign yet is crimson in thy lips and in thy cheeks (Rom.V.iii.94/95). The coma was to end and she was to wake any minute that Romeo went to Juliet, nevertheless Romeo didn t know of the potion that put her in the coma. Full of grief, Romeo proceeded to kill himself even though he noticed that Juliet looked well alive. Previously, when Romeo was banished and Juliet in the coma, many examples of repetition of epithets happened during those scenes. Romeo and Juliet has many characters expressing their sorrow with the repeated use of adjectives to describe their or another s state. When Tybalt was killed, many wept for their kinsmen including the nurse of the Capulet s. The nurse exclaims, We are undone, lady, we are undone. Alack the day, he s gone, he s killed, he s dead (Rom.III.ii.43/44). The nurse repeatedly states about Tybalt being killed and is dead. She is so stricken by grief that she doesn t say who was killed and Juliet gets confused about who got killed, Tybalt, Romeo, or both. Soon after, ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The introduction of My Antonia states that the narrator and Jim were to write down all they knew of her in order to maybe get a picture of her. I believe this strong admiration is because of the characteristics that are shown by Antonia throughout the story. She is a hardworking girl that belongs to a Bohemian family who has started a farm in Nebraska. Not only is she hard working but throughout the story she shows characteristics of being strong both inside and out. Also, it is very apparent that she wants to be independent and make her own decisions. I think Willa Catheradmires the character Antonia because she can, in a way, reflect on her characteristics ... • 4. Persuasive Essay On The Issue Of The Media There are 7.442 billion people living on this planet as we speak. That is a very large number. Now let me give you a couple more numbers to go along with it. 70 million people; these are the individuals who live with an eating disorder every single day. 36.7 million; these are the people who live with HIV/AIDS in the world. The authors of the readings for which this argument comes from all agree that one of the main reasons that these epidemics have become so out of hand is the media involvement. I believe that if we were more educated about the subject matter at hand, we could find affordable working treatments that these individuals need. Media is the main problem for creating out of proportion ideas about illnesses that are truly a problem, but no a reason for people to divide. One side of the spectrum says that the media involvement should be limited, while the other side of the spectrum says that the media involvement should end. I believe that the media involvement should be both limited and ended in certain ways. The problem that we have constantly begun to hear about is the amount of media that becomes involved in controversial topics or in personal affairs. Media has become an outrageous way for people to be involved in the personal matters of others lives such as, celebrities and royals, but now the media has been used to target certain groups and torment them for their own personal gain. This has been done during the AIDS epidemic and the sudden rise in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

A good example of this genre are the books Divergent, published in 2011, and The Hunger Games, published in 2008. Science fiction is presented in both stories in how the setting takes place in a near future where society as we know it collapsed and it had to be build from the beginning with new sets of rules. In The HungerGames, Suzanne Collinsbuilds her story around a country named Panem which is located in some part of North America. The country was created after a series an uprising lead to millions of deaths and destroyed most of what was known as North America. In this situation, the people without factions are beggars, janitors and other works that would disrupt the balance inside factions. The factionless represent the lower class in society while also being a representation of the critique the author is trying to convey towards of an utopian society that outcast others. • 6. Replace Traditional Components Like Diesel Generators Essay ABSTRACT The aim of this paper is to replace traditional components like diesel generators which are used to generate power in a microgrid with renewable energy sources for an Air force field deployable hospital (AFFDH). In this paper we assume that Air force field deployable hospital consumes approximately 70KVA of peak power. ETAP software is used to operate for island and grid connected mode and also load flow and short circuit analysis are performed on the system for variety of load and fault scenarios. INTRODUCTION Usage of renewable energy resources in production of electricity is considered as effective method for environment and also for future generation by saving up the fossil fuels. The investments on the renewables in United States in 2014 is about $38.3billion [1].The renewable energy usage is increasing in United States mainly because of the state and local governments, utility companies and other private investors. The U. S Department of Defense is the largest consumer of electric energy, it is about 54% of the total government use [3][4]. Generally, for the Department of defense existing commercial power is used or diesel generators. But the cost of fuel keeps on increasing and diesel generators are not that feasible compared to new technologies. During natural disasters or other attacks usage of diesel generators is not that recommendable because the cost of investment is very high and also maintain fuel supply is difficult. Since 1956 when oil was first struck in Oloibiri in Southern Nigeria, the Niger Delta region has accounted for over 90 per cent of Nigeria s oil income; however, the region has continually suffered from environmental neglect, disintegrating infrastructures, high rate of unemployment, social deprivation, abject poverty and widespread conflict. There have been incessant calls for the multi national corporations( MNCs ) operating in the area to demonstrate the value of their investments to Nigeria by undertaking increased corporate social responsibility( CSR ) initiatives that provide for environmental friendly practices as well as direct social benefits such as local employment, new infrastructure, schools and improved health care delivery. Their first proposed hypothesis was that the college students perceptions of their parents engaging in helicopter parenting behaviors would be related to higher levels of depression and anxiety (Lemoyne and Buchanan 2011) as well as decreased satisfaction with their life (Segrin et al. 2012). Consistent with the idea, our data suggests that an inappropriate level of parental behavior control is associated with negative child outcomes. Specifically, helicopter parenting behaviors were related to higher levels of depression and decreased satisfaction with life (Schiffrin, Liss, Miles McLean, Geary, Erchull, Tashner, 2013). Researchers gathered these findings to conclude their hypotheses correct through a series of questions. • 12. Donald Trump Political Cartoon Donald Trump has experienced a lot of things in his lifetime, including winning an award for Worst Supporting Actor. One of the most recent of his experiences has been his presidential campaign. Throughout his campaign many cartoonists have frantically been using each of his actions as material for their political cartoons. These cartoons have the ability to spark debate and explain politics, or other topics, in a light unattainable through any other medium. The political cartoon The Donald and Cartoonists by John Cole exaggeratedly illustrates Donald Trumps presidential campaign through the eyes of a cartoonist by combining imagery with commentary, referencing specific events in Trump s campaign, and conveying his own message about Donald Trump. By employing both text and imagery, exaggeration, and symbolism, the cartoonist John Cole was able to provide a clear image of how he views Donald Trump. Within the single frame cartoon is a large bag labelled My Self Made Fortune (From Daddy) that Donald Trump, Sarah Palin, and a member of the KKK all sit atop of. • 14. All Human Beings Possess A Basic Understanding Of Love All human beings possess a basic understanding of love and are able to express love through verbalizations, emotions, gestures, or other acts of kindness; however, the condition of the human heart is tainted by sin and so is love in terms of humanity. Thus, human beings are unable to understand and comprehend love s truest form which is found in the embodiment God s being. God s love is communicated to mankind through the covenants, the wonders of creation, the personhood of JesusChrist, and the power of the Holy Spiritwho subsequently seals God s offer of salvation through the atoning death of Jesus Christ. Furthermore, those whom God allows Himself to be known can also know God s love through God s providential care and sustainment... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Hence, with all the confusion and mystery that surrounds the Trinity, it becomes difficult to understand how each member of the Trinity shares in the attribute of God s love. Without the Trinity, human beings cannot appreciate the attribute of God s love. Thus, God reveals His attribute of love through Jesus Christ (John 3:16) while Jesus displays the attribute of God s love through the crucifixion (John 15:13), and the Holy Spirit makes the attribute known through the regeneration (Titus 3:5) of the believer (Dockery, 1992). Furthermore, love itself is in triunity; hence, there must be the lover, the love, and the loved (Conner, 1980, p. 53). In the Godhead, the attribute of God s love finds a perfect expression (Matthew 3:16; John 14:31) in the triunity of the Father who is the lover, the Son who is the loved, and the Holy Spirit who is love (Conner, 1980, p. 53). Thus, the Father who so loved (John 3:16) gave the Son his love (Colossians 1:13) and the love of the Spirit (Romans 15:30; Galatians 5:22) which is expressed to mankind not only in creation but in redemption where the invisible is made visible (Conner, 1980). Adding to the complexity of God s love is the fact that the attribute of God s love is not easily seen in the Holy Spirit as the Holy Spirit never truly reveals Himself to human consciousness; hence, the ... He was known for taking the least probable scenarios and turning them into a masterpiece just by playing with light and form or angles. Some of these films are Psycho, Perfect Crime, The Man Who Knew Too Much and Rear Window. At first it was quite difficult to pinpoint a particular film to choose as he used brilliant techniques in all of them. However, I have chosen to talk about Rear Window. This is because the fact that the whole film occurs in the same setting and still holds our interest is very hard to do but he was able to by using diverse camera angles and ... This makes the audience feel suspicious and confused as to why someone would leave their apartment so many time in one night. Too keep them a bit distracted, there are also individual scenes going in the other apartments so that the audience don t have time to dwell on their suspicion. All is dark except for a couple of houses which also gives the scene as sinister twist since at the start it was colorful but now it is dark and the camera is not quite focused. Also, the cuts and fades in this scene are very unpredictable and unsatisfying, because, as we are looking through Jeff s eyes, he constantly falls asleep which then prevents us from seeing any more of what happens as the scene fades to darkness. The shots are also unsatisfying because although they are mostly wide shots, we don t quite see every thing we want to see. • 16. Theme Of The Carousel In Something Wicked This Way Comes Sometimes the man who looks happiest in town, with the biggest smile, is the one carrying the biggest load of sin. There are smiles and smiles; learn to tell the dark variety from the light. (Bradbury 135) Written in 1962, Ray Bradbury s Something Wicked This Way Comes is a fantasy fiction novel which depicts the mysterious experience two teenage boys encounter one October night in Green Town, Illinois. Within Something Wicked This Way Comes, Ray Bradbury utilizes symbolism of the carousel in order to reveal the primary theme:beware of even the most innocent things, for they can be so nefarious. To begin with, the author incorporates the carousel as a symbol of evil disguised as innocence. In reality, the carousel is a distortion which represents the fears and desires wicked people feed off of in order to acquire ultimate power. In the novel, the author often refers to the carousel since it is almost portrayed as a vault which is constantly revolving and depending on the innocent who succumb to the dark side when their greatest fears are put to the test. According to Bud Martin, we are drawn in and root for children because their security is being encroached upon, and it is their love and innocence that both can make them victims and save them, in the end. The carousel is by far the most powerful and important symbol within and throughout the novel because it is considered the powerhouse or main source of energy which thrives solely on the souls of the weak and naive who ... • 17. Apartheid And The System Of Apartheid In South Africa Ever since Hitler s reign of segregating the Jews from Germans during World War ll, nobody thought that would ever happen again because of how horrible it was and how many lives were lost because of it. That was until 1948 when Apartheid started. Apartheid is a system of racial segregation in South Africa enforced through legislation by the National Party and the government. The whites wanted domination of the non whites and all the power. To do so, the government got rid of many of their rights. The black population was not very fond of this and wanted their rights back. In fact, the black population made up 72% of South Africaand the whites only made up 16%, which is way less than the blacks. The reason there was not many whites was because Britain gained control over South Africa and were controlling everything and everyone. It started out with a numerous amount of laws and statements the government created. The Afrikaner National Party creates the policy of apartheid, initially putting it into effect. Then came classifying the races during the Population Registration Act. Soon enough separate public spaces were created to make sure the blacks and whites didn t interact. Homelands were created for the blacks, striping them of their South African Citizenship and making them carry around passports. This relates very closely to when Hitler made the Jews wear the star of david and carry around their papers to identify them. Like the jews, the blacks were forced out of their homes and forced to live on the new reserves. Everything that was happening helped the white minority gain more power because the Africans were limited to what they could do. Since many blacks did not like the pass laws that were created, they would go against them to support their families. The consequences for not following the pass laws were harassment, fines, and getting arrested. This led to many blacks wanting to get their rights back and be equal with the whites. Many tried to end apartheid, including Nelson Mandela. Nelson Mandela was an anti apartheid radical and leader of the African National Congress(ANC). • 19. My Defining Moment Analysis I think as doctors and nurses, most of us have had that defining moment in our lives when we knew we were supposed to be in medicine. For me, that moment was about twenty years ago. I was outside helping my mom in the front yard. She was pushing a lawnmower and tripped over a root. She fell hard to the ground splitting her knee open to the bone. I ran inside the house; not to get my dad, but to go get a towel and bandages to stop the bleeding. I begged and pleaded with my mother to let me come with her to the ER. Reluctantly she gave in and agreed to let me come. From the moment I walked in the door, I was fascinated with everything I saw. The doctors and nursing scurrying around, the lights, the sounds; I couldn t soak it up fast enough. I must have asked that poor ER... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I remember watching him, and not wanting to leave the ER that night. It was at that point I knew that I wanted to work in medicine. Fast forward twenty years and my love for medicine has not changed; in fact I think it has only deepened. I started working in a high intensity medical ICU over three years ago, and have never looked back. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to say that I truly love my job. Lasell College Graduation Analysis Please provide an account of what you have been doing since leaving Lasell and a clear explanation of why you wish to return: The last four years have led me to realize just how big of a mistake I had made by leaving Lasell College in 2012. As it had happened, I was put on academic suspension my first semester and at the time, I was immature, unmotivated and indecisive unable to come to terms with the rapidly shifting dynamics of my life. I was not at all prepared for adulthood; and my adolescent mentality did not cope well with my newly founded independence. I did not know what I wanted to do with my life and career and looking back now, I am ashamed to say that I did not care. With the mistakes of my past decisions, however, comes determination that is, my determination to undo my mistakes and rewrite my future. Following my dismissal from Lasell College, I rushed ... The authors were alive at the same time, and certain events affected both authors. Wells published Invisible Man in 1897, but Huxley published Brave New World in 1931. Since each author published when they were in their thirties and likely had a similar mindset at the time of writing, their characters have an interesting link between them. Brave New Worldis about life changing to fit liberal ideas. Invisible Man is the story of a power hungry guy. Between them, they have characters with similar roles. Huxley made a character Bernard as a runt who is unsatisfied with life and wants to be accepted. Wells made a character Marvel as a runt who is satisfied with life and got bullied into service by the invisible man. Bernard may have been made to show where Huxley thought he fit in his modern world, unsatisfied with the government and wanting to change it. Wells may have made Marvel to represent his feelings of being forced to do something he didn t think was morally correct. Characters Helmholtz and John savage of BNW are both similar to Dr. Kemp of IM. All three characters are cast as the good guys, trying to do the correct thing by modern standards. • 23. The Impact Of African Culture On The Brazilian Culture Introduction: Throughout the years of its findings and growth in Brazil, the Brazilian culture was influenced by different cultures. It has been swayed by the African, Portuguese, Native American, and other culture that did not make much effect. The Brazilian culture has been influenced in various ways. Before the abolishment, African slaves were migrated from Africa to the New World , about forty percent of the Africans from the slave trade were migrated to Brazil, with the total of about four million African slaves. Afro Brazilians at that time were born in Brazil but still has a connection to the African ancestry. They were imprisoned at the fazendas (farms) and they created their own culture that was influenced by the African culture. Throughout the centuries, the African culture grew more and more as the plantations continued to thrive not until that African slave were found in every economic activity in Brazil. In the year of 1888, slavery was abolished and after that, the African culture helped the increasement of the Brazilian empire with its own different ways. The aftermath of slavery influenced the Brazilian culture with things such as their cuisine, herbal medication, language, music, dance, fighting skills, and much more. • 26. Gender And Dress Code In Public School Madison Dixon Mrs. Byrd English Comp. I November 8, 2017 Gender and Dress Code High school dress codes are rules for clothing that is deemed either appropriate or inappropriate to wear to school. Standard codes in public schools, that don t have uniforms, typically require students to have sleeved garments and leg wear that is a certain length. At some schools, the term leg wear doesn t include leggings, while other schools permit leggings as long as your shirt or other clothing reaches the length that shorts are required to meet. After attending five public schools, three of which during my high school career, I can verify that these were typically the enforced rules. All schools also had rules against hats and certain headgear, though exceptions would sometimes be made, such as in the case of spirit week. My most recent school has, for the most part, been very relaxed about dress codes. Most of the rules are simply to maintain a piece of decency among the students. The code basically calls for undergarments to remain concealed, provocative skin can t be shown, shirts must have sleeves, and leg wear must be longer than your fingertips with your hands at your sides. However, there are some inconsistencies with dress codes that I have noticed and can t seem to understand. There seems to be lenience for boys when it comes to the enforcement of dress codes. Of course, boys don t have a tendency to wear track shorts or tank tops to school. However, I ve been coded for ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 32. What Is The Theme Of Marriage In Pride And Prejudice It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of a wife. This is the first line of the 2005 Pride and Prejudice movie and is significant to the analyzation of attitudes towards romance and marriage during the early 1800s. The relationships described in the movie were unique from each other but all had a similar underlying theme throughout, money. Pride and Prejudiceby Jane Austenshowcases the correlation between marriageand financial survival in the early 1800s. Woman using auspicious relationships for their economic gain did not seem out of the ordinary. In Mr. Collins and Charlotte s relationship this seemed to be the only reason for their courtship. Mr. Collins was to inherit Mr. Bennet s estate when he passed away because he only had daughters and Mr. Collins was the next male inherent. This touches on how women were not viewed as equals and men controlled social status in the early 1800s. He attempted to marry a daughter in the Bennet family (Elizabeth) but was rejected so he proposed to Charlotte, Elizabeth s friend. In the movie Charlotte is explaining to Elizabeth that she is engaged to Mr. Collins and says Not all of us can afford to be romantic. I ve been offered a comfortable home and protection. Vonnegut s creative antiwar novel shows the audience the hardships of the life of a soldier through his writing technique. Although David s story is quite simple, artists faced challenges creating a visual representation of the young hero. The two main obstacles were discovering how to portray the body committing the act, and also rendering the spirit of the act itself. Among the artists who tried to recreate this story visually were Andrea del Castagno and Andrea del Verrocchio. Castagno introduced his form of the Davidthrough painting. The piece was entitled David with the Head of Goliath, and was originally used as a parade shield. It differed from common parade shields, which were decorated with simple coat and arms, due to its rare painted scene. The shield was believed to have been carried in civic or religious processions or have... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... His David is depicted in a confident pose after the battle with Goliath is already won, while Castagno depicts David in both the moment of fighting the giant and after defeating him. Both art works show Goliath s head under David s feet, but Castagno tells more of the biblical story in his imagery and action. The piece being painted upon a shield also plays a testimonial role. In the Old Testament, David is a young shepherd; he uses the motive that if God protects his sheep than God too will protect him before going into battle with Goliath. By painting this imagery on a shield, one can conclude that God is David s shield (David). Verrocchio s work lacks this deeper analytical meaning. Andrea del Castagno s David with Head of Goliath stands 45 1/2 x 30 1/8 inches wide at the top and 45 1/2 x 16 inches wide at the bottom. The work was made of tempera on leather on wood. We see how violence has affected his life and other people s perspective of him. He started out in the Army at a very young age and carried out the harsh tasks that he was given, no matter how cruel they were. Longoria is a strong minded person. For him to carry out some of the assignments he was given, it takes a different kind of person. For example, the incident with the people in the village. He murdered a whole village of innocent people. To me, this shows that Longoria is ruthless. In a sense, I would almost say that he has lost his mind. After years of killing like he did, how does he not have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder? Most people that must go through and witness the things like Longoria are scarred for the rest of their life. For example, my grandfather was in the military during Vietnam. He would wake up screaming in the middle of the night, fireworks and loud noises bothered him, among other little things that would trigger his PTSD. Violenceeventually takes its toll and I think it got the best of Longoria. The first altercation between Antonio and Longoria happens about half way through the book. This is done typically by causing the destruction of specific mRNA molecules. RNAs are direct products of genes, these small RNAs can bind to other mRNA molecules to either increase or decrease their activity like in the example of preventing an mRNA from producing a protein. There are two types of RNA molecules that are central to RNAi, these molecules are, micro RNA (miRNA) and small interfering RNA (siRNA). The RNAi mechanism is found in many different ... • 39. Peace in Yugoslavia From 1919 Until 1980 Essay Peace in Yugoslavia From 1919 Until 1980 Peace in Yugoslavia meant unity. The country was a drawing together of different groups, which held together from 1919 to the 1980. Before the First World War the Austria ruled the individual countries of Slovenia, Croatia and Bosnia as well as other countries such as Hungary as part of the Hapsburg Empire. The other big empire was the Turkish Ottoman Empire. All the individual areas had different ethnic groups and religions. The Croats were Roman Catholic, people living in Bosnia were mainly Muslim, as were people living in Kosovo. Serbia was a separate independent country, ruled by its own King. The Serb religion was Christian Orthodox. The Treaty ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... King Peter ruled until his death in 1921, when his son, who became King Alexander I, replaced him. King Alexander had a Government dominated by Serbs, which made all of the decisions. He refused to listen to wishes of Slovenes and Croats and would not give them any say in decisions concerning their regions. In 1929, Alexander changed the country s name from the Kingdom of the Serbs, Croats and the Slovenes and dismissed parliament so he could run the country as a dictatorship. He used his Serb dominated Secret Police to deal with protests in Croatia and Slovenia. Members of other ethnic groups were angered by the Kings dictatorship (especially the Croats who wanted more control over their regions). A Croat resistance movement (formed as a result of the removal of parliament) murdered Alexander during a visit to France in on 9th October 1934. He had, however, been a strong King, with definite ideas about how he had wanted to run the country. His dictatorship unpopular as it had been with some groups, did help hold Yugoslavia together. • 40. Comparing Physicalists with Dualists INTRODUCTION Are we just bundles of physical particles, or are we something more? Throughout the history of the modern and ancient world, there have always been questions about what is it that this world is made of and likewise, what we ourselves are made of. Do we actually have this beautiful, ethereal thing called a soul, or is this some unsubstantiated claim that we just like to believe because it makes us feel better? The philosophers questioning the nature of the mind/ soul and posing questions regarding them as those have traditionally articulated their into two camps of theories (or at least an overwhelming majority fall into these camps). There are the Physicalists, and there are the Dualists. To put their ideas in the most basic of terms is fairly easy. Physicalists believe that 1) there is one thing/substance that constitutes the entirety of the universe (namely matter) and 2) that is all there is and therefore, knowing the physical particles accounts for everything (Stoljar 2009, 2 3). Dualists are quite a bit more ambiguous and flexible in regards to theories, but think of them as counter physicalists . Most dualists subscribe to the overall belief that 1) this universe is more than solely the physical 2) no matter what the physical particles do constitute, be it 99.9999% of the world, it will never account for everything, and 3) the mind or soul or at the very least some of its qualities or capabilities is one of those unaccountable things, and is ... • 41. The Controversial Success Of Richard Wagner The Controversial Success of Richard Wagner Name: Department: Course: Date: The Controversial Success of Richard Wagner Richard Wagner remains one the most respected and controversial figures in the world of opera and filmmaking. He was a genius of his time and his work has stood the test of time despite the negative image of the composer due to his racist leanings. Richard Wagnerwas born in Germany on May 22, 1813, to become one of the most popular artists of that time for his epic operas . Though he was written off by his teachers as weak in music, he wrote his first drama when he was 11 years of age and wrote his first musical composition when he was 16 years old proving how ambitious he was at a young age in his career. He was also impressed by Mozart s Requiem and therefore started his early piano sonata. Although in his childhood he had been dismissed as being no good at the piano his works proved that he was indeed talented. In 1831 he enrolled at the Leipzig University becoming a member of the Saxon student fraternity and taught by Thomas Kantor Theodor Weinlig who was so impressed that he refused to be paid by him. Wagner started composing his symphonies the first being in C major. His inspiration came from Beethoven especially the Ninth Symphony and in 1834 he became the Wurzburg theater chorus master. It is at this time that he met the love of his life singer and actress Minna Planer in 1836. They had a marriage that was complicated by deceit and betrayal as due to his lifestyle as a womanizer making his wife run away. • 42. Consequences Of Work Family Conflicts And Enrichment Consequences of Work Family Conflicts and Enrichment Role accumulation and work family enrichment There are three ways in which participation in multiple roles often referred to as role accumulation can produce positive outcomes for individuals. First, work experiences and family experiences can have additive effects on well being. Research has consistently demonstrated that role accumulation can have beneficial effects on physical and psychological well being, especially when the roles are of high quality. In addition, satisfaction with work and satisfaction with family have been found to have additive effects on an individual s happiness, life satisfaction, and perceived quality of life. Such research suggests that individuals who participate in and are satisfied with work and family roles experience greater well being than those who participate in only one of the roles or who are dissatisfied with one or more of their roles. Second, participation in both work and family roles can buffer individuals from distress in one of the roles. For example, research has shown that the relationship between family stressors and impaired well being is weaker for individuals who have more satisfying, high quality work experiences. In a similar vein, the relationship between work stress and impaired well being is attenuated for individuals who have a more satisfying, high quality family life. These moderator effects suggest that a diverse portfolio of social roles buffers an individual ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 43. The Fight For African American Independence In this episode we learned about the struggle for Africa s independence. The fight for colonial independence was much more complex than appeared on the surface. The Africans wanted their land back and the colonists wanted to keep their newly acquired land, but it was not that simple or easy. Once the Africans got their independence they could not be separated from their home countries. Intricate ties between the colonies and home countries they could not be so easily broken. This element in my opinion is one of the reasons the fight for freedom in Africalasted so long. I never realized just how many hundreds of thousands of Africans were drafted during WWII. In addition, I never realized how much hope they were filled with when the Atlantic Charter was passed. Hope that came when hearing that within it, it said that each person has a right and the everyone should be respected. However, when peace came, nothing seemed to be different ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Portugal hung on to their rule even after other colonies began to be liberated. The liberation wars were long and painful for both sides. Some Africans thought they would never be independent and always be bound by the colonies. When they finally stood up and formed an army to fight back, they insisted that they were not a political army ; instead that they were instruments for independence, armed militants and how after they achieved their goal they would go back to cultivating the soil. Portugal did multiple horrible acts including assassinating their leader at the time. However, their worse act was when they wiped out an entire village during the war, and even today only grim remains remain where the village once stood. Then after all of that they stayed behind to help. I feel like its crazy that after such a long struggle either one of the sides would want anything to do with each ... • 44. Willy Loman Critical Analysis An individual s ability to foresee into the future can often be regarded as a gift, but this ability can also be a curse. One can either anticipate or fear for the future. Oftentimes, fear motivates individuals to create and achieve a vision of what they desire for the future. In the play, Death of a Salesman by Arthur Miller, an aging salesman, Willy Loman, struggles to earn a living as well as struggle to maintain his relationship with his family. When an individuals feardictate how they should think and act, this can lead to the inability of the individual to make appropriate life altering decisions. If an individual clings on to their fears they maintain their foresight, however, when one gambles with their fears they may lose their vision for their future and may lead to a desirable outcome. Initially, Willy Loman is revealed to have been abandoned by his father and later on his brother when he first revisits the past, establishing the root of his fears. Willy s abandonment raised multiple questions and issues that he was unable to find the answers to. This event developed his deep insecurity about being well liked and ironically prompted him to abandon his family. Willy s perception towards appearances led him to be unsuccessful in business as well as having disconnected relationships with those around him. Willy has built an unattainable expectation that is contradictory to his nature and it began with him clinging on to being a salesman knowing that deep down ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 45. Good Afternoon Tracey Analysis Good Afternoon Tracey, I hope you re having a great day! I wanted to reach out to say that it was a quite overwhelming and emotional to see you last weekend. Although, I truly have love and appreciation for you on many levels, I also have hurt feelings about our last professional interaction. I ve cleared my conscience and apologized to folks for the role I played in our fall out they did not (I didn t expect them to). I doubt that she s apologized to you for positioning you to play a main role in my departure (y all might have even discussed how I should have been gone sooner who knows?) You may never speak up about how you really feel. That takes courage and strength. At any rate, I have always wondered and even tried to rationalize how it made sense for you to keep the lie and not fess up to the fact that you allowed the conflict to continue and you never told the truth about letting me leave SHIFT early which caused the questions about my whereabouts and ultimately me being fired from DF. • 46. The Process Of Learning The Rubik s Cubes This week I am starting my final project. I have come to the conclusion that I will learn the Rubik s cube in the next few weeks. Hopefully, I will be able to learn to complete it at the least and memorize the solution if possible. I went out and purchased a Rubik s cube for about 15 dollars a few days ago. Of course I ve already scrambled it and threw my sad attempt at accomplishing something without these foreign directions that come out of the box. I guess I can relate this to the process of converting to a new religion or being introduced to a new religion. It s very confusing and overwhelming, being careful not to misinterpret anything at face value. I feel intimidated, but determined to learn this little three by three cube. Laziness... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... I ve already watched a few YouTube videos of beginner guides other enthusiasts have created. Sadly, being able to complete the Rubik s cube in the future will not make me a Shaman. Hinduism is the main focus of this week. This is also the week I committed to learning the orientations of the Rubik s cube and the terminologies I didn t understand in the directions. I ve had somewhat of an understanding of the direction, but still have a hard time performing the action correctly. For example, the instruction will say to rotate this side inverted (counter clockwise) and I will misinterpret and just rotate it regular (clockwise). This is kind of like forgetting your rights from your lefts. This is frustrating because if one move is messed up everything you ve done goes to waste and are forced to restart. The orientation labels and instruction are to the Rubik s cube as the Vedas are to Hinduism. At this point I have the first two algorithms almost down, but struggle quite a bit with anything beyond that. The algorithms jump from being four notations to eight notations. I expect my learning progress from here out to be a little slower than how fast and easy it was for me this week. I just need to set some time to dedicate to learn the Rubik s cube in the coming weeks so I do not procrastinate if I want to be able to complete the Rubik s cube completely by memory. This week we touched a little on ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
