America. Just like his other documentary films, this film takes a historical perspective. I was
introduced to this film last month when we were covering historical documentaries. I believe that I
had seen parts of this documentary but I had never watched the entire filmuntil now. Crips and
Bloods: Made in America was released in 2008 and explores the origins of the Crips and Bloods,
two of the most prominent gangs found all over America. The films run time is about the same as

films to determine that. I also noticed the sped up interview sections in this film as well. I believe
that the fancy editing and animations are to meant to keep the viewer interested by presenting the

to understand how each group worked on a very personal level, they had to immerse themselves in
the scenes directly. Before beginning production, Peralta spent months hanging in these
neighborhoods WITHOUT a camera, trying to establish relationships and gain peoples trust, as
well as looking for interviewees. This effort is shown when Peralta can get some of these guys to
open up and talk about things that they would not normally talk about. Patience and
communication were absolutely critical in achieving that level of trust. He is not telling the stories
from his perspective, because he did not experience it. Instead, he is giving a platform to these
gang members and member of the community to share their opinions and beliefs. There were also
people questioning Peralta s credibility, suggesting that a white former surfer/skateboarder has no
type of relation to the gang culture of South Central La and that he does not fit to tell the story.

The first two lines prior to the actual poem describe a group of seven pool players. During the
1950s pool halls were a popular hangout, mostly for delinquents who would use the hall as a
cover for partaking in illegal activities. The world golden is often used to represent innocence and
being young. The word shovel is a used to represent a digging of some sort. The combination of
golden and shovel represents the kids burying their innocence and youth away for a life of crime. So
already in the first two lines prior to the actual poem we can already tell that there s seven young
kids wasting their youth and innocence away at a pool hall while they should be at school

so many. The obvious of course would be my mother, wife, and daughter. But educationally, two
people really come to mind. One was my microbiology professor, a very small in stature woman
from the Philippines, who gave her entire lecture series, start to finish, over an entire semester,
without ever looking at a note. Not once. She would have been my mentor for my master s degree

100 lbs. alone. It costs approximately $150, 000 to fully train a U.S. Navy Bomb Squad
member, and in prior years, the only observation made on the individual was a college transcript
review (USNA NEOD screener instruction, 2015). The organization realized this problem and

organization, screened for accession, and a few would be selected to begin training after
graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy. The screener began at 3 pm on November 6th and

for training upon merit alone, with no personality or physical screening process. This was a very
real challenge, for the aforementioned reasons of required emotional intelligence and physical

The purpose of my science fair was to figure out what angle in shooting will produce the most
amount of goals. First I chose which angle for shooting is more effective to produce the most
amount of goals in a game. I chose this because in my games I have found that sometimes we miss

science experiment. My results were that the 45 degree angle proved to be the best angle for

In the short story, The Flying Machine, the wise emperor understood that happiness comes from the
simple things in life rather than personal achievements. As a result, the emperor made the tough
decision to kill the inventor of the flying machine because he believed the invention would detract
from his subjects enjoyment of the simple things around them. Similar to the inventor, Victor
Frankensteinbelieved that achieving his goals would bring him happiness. Later as the story
unfolds, however, Victor became more like the emperor because he finally understood that
happiness is derived from relationships and nature, not personal gain. What Victor desired most
turned out to be his biggest source of misery. In the book Frankenstein, the author, Mary Shelley,

bugs can be used to analyze a body, especially to determine when and where the murder occurred
(Environmental Science, 2017). Entomologists are able to do so by analyzing the age and species
of a bug (Discovery Network, 2015). While this does not always provide necessary evidence, it
