My Life Span Development Class
On February 17, 2016, our Life Span Development class observed the physical,
cognitive, and social development of Asher, a 5.5 month old male. The observation
was conducted at Dordt College in room CL2260 and the infant s parent consented to
participate in the live observation. Asher was quite sick and later saw a doctor, so the
findings of this report may not entirely represent Asher s development.
Asher was 5 weeks along when his mother, Abby, found out she was pregnant.
Asher is the third child and has a 4 year old sister and a 3 year old brother. Abby
tried to eat as healthy as she could during her pregnancy to ensure that Asher would
be as healthy as possible. Thus, she avoided lunchmeats, seafood, and soft cheeses.
At 20 weeks, Abby had an ultrasound, in which no structural abnormalities were
found. Since this was her third child, Abby chose not to take part in prenatal

FTSG) and simple loop stitch tie over technique. The patients were followed up for

the war and the point of all of this. Logos is defined as an appeal to logic. I feel like
he uses this the most out of all of the other ones because this speech is meant to
appeal to logic because it is reasons on why we need to end the war. The first time
he uses logos is when he starts talking about why we are in need of peace. In the
speech he says We entered this war because violations of our right had occured...
(1). I feel like this is a logical explanation as to why people go to war and why this
war had begun. Therefore, it appeals to your logic. Another way that this speech
appeals to your logic is when he talks about his ideas for peace once this war is
over. He has fourteen of these and some of them apply to other appeals but I
believe that they all fall under logos as well. One example of this is when he talks
about all of the territories being uninvaded (2). This would be a logically step to
take once the war has ended. He also talks about how he believes that there should
be a league of nations that monitors the other nations in order to keep the peace
going at the end of the war (3). This makes sense because we need someone or
something to monitor our world and make sure that they do not start another World
War. This also lets there be someone or something to regulate events that happen
around the world so that they do

Pope Sixtus, the church authority who permitted the persecution, was a man of
luxury. Early on in his reign, he established himself as a Pope with expensive taste
and expansive vision. His churches throughout Italy served to put him in a favorable
light amongst the visionaries and upper class. Sixtus greatest achievement during his
reign was his commissioning of the world renowned Sistine Chapel. He
commissioned painters and architects to fill the illustrious ceilings with murals and
religious imagery to emphasize his prosperity. Sixtus obsession with the Papal
