I is for In South Carolina. Last summer me and my family went on vacation to myrtle South
Carolina. It was a lot of fun we for to see the ocean for the second time. It took us 19 hours to get
there. We stopped at some cool places on the way there. One place we stopped at was a cave it
was a 2 mile walk for there through the cave and back. Once we got to Myrtle beach we took
some of our stuff Into the hotel. Then my mom, brother, dad and got our passes to go out on the
pier. We first went out onto the pier and then we went down to the ocean. We spent all day there
and then we ate at the restaurant on the pier entrance. The next day we went to the boardwalk the

The doctor was persuaded by giving some acres of land in Bangalore by Bharati s MLA
father. This conspiracy needs to be commented upon in the light of what happens to the girl child
in Indian society. Mr. Patel is also not devoid of fault. He continuously and doggedly favours
Chandan when it comes to giving him higher education abroad, and a career. He appears to be
more concerned about the future of Chandan than Tara. Bharati s excessive love for Tara results
from her past guilt. She feels the pangs of her past guilt. She, allied with her father, did great
injustice to Tara. Now she wants to give more and more love and comforts to Tara. It is because
of this that she wants to give her own kidney to Tara when there is another donator available. She
wants to give part of herself and craves satisfaction out of this. The play also can be deemed as
the tragedy of human self. Dan realizes wretchedness and misery of his existence which is the
outcome of the crime done to Tara. There is an unprecedented development in the field of
science and technology. It has blessed mankind with speed, pleasure and perfection. If we look at
the other side of coin, we shall come to know that it is also used to cause suffering and pain in the
lives of many people. After all, it is the man who operates the machine for his own motives and
desires. The play Tara shows us how technologically enhanced equipments are used to subjugate the
woman. The play also

Analysis Of Mary Wroth s Sonnet 19
Time, a river that travels endlessly in the same direction, never able to go back, you must always
follow the current downstream. While we are young, we think little of time and rarely worry
about what the future may hold. However, as we continue to age, we become more and more
aware of the impact our actions make on the rest of our lives. Even now, as I sit here at the fairly
young age of 17, I am already worried that I have not made the most of the timethat has been given
to me. With all the pressure put on youth to decide their futureso early into their lives, it is no
wonder we harbor this anxiety. Often, I find myself romanticizing the pastbecause the future seems
so frightening which many psychologists, like Toni Bernhard, consider to be an unhealthy
behavior, but what else is there for me to do? As Lady Mary Wroth said, In this strange labyrinth
how shall I turn? All of my worries about the past, present, and future are all mirrored well in
Wroth s Sonnet 77, as this poem encapsulates my feelings of not wanting to stay where I am, but
not knowing which path to take in life.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It makes sense then that many of the memories made in our youths are the ones we remember
most vividly. Due to our childlike sense of wonder, these memories seem almost magical
because, to a child, everything is new experience. I can clearly envision my various trips with
my grandparents to lakes or river, or even simply to their home. While the person I currently am
would consider this boring, as I child I only wanted to explore the world around me as much as I
could, to see something totally alien. Looking back, I have only the desire to return to this
period of my life so that I may once again feel the lack of life s burden on my shoulders. I feel
just as Wroth did when she says, Let me turn back, Shame cries I ought return. Alas, I can never
return, for time s clock never ticks

The Central Banks Of The World
The Central Banks of the world have a role in today s society to provide stability to the economy.
Through monetary policy, the Central Banks must utilize the daily economic data in order to make
policy decisions that attempt to ensure continuous growth and prosperity. The Central Banks do this
through regulating inflationas well as implementing specific goals such as currency stability, low
inflation and full employment (Heakal). In 2008 the global financial crisis hit numerous nations
around the world and each Central Banksaw their economies crash, consumers lose market
confidence, investors stop investing, and banks stop lending. If the money stops circulating in the
economy banks [can t] provide customers with a variety of basic financial services; [such as] an
on demand source of bank notes; deposits and savings accounts; payment services; and ... credit, to
both business and households (Fisher 2). The credit crunch was experienced throughout the world
and each Central Bank laid out their plans in order to halt and begin recovering from the crisis and
set the economy back to a stable 2% inflation. Along with The Federal Reserve, the Bank of
Englands conventional attempts at restoring the economy never had enough of an impact to jump
start the economy. An unconventional crisis called for unconventional resolutions. The Bank of
England turned to unconventional monetary policies when all else failed. The utilization of the

The Creation of Suspense in Different Film Genres Essay
The Creation of Suspense in Different Film Genres We humans demand a lot nowadays where a
film is concerned. No longer do we want simple, traditional storylines (well at least I don t!), but
instead we expect big explosions, top notch special effects and quality acting. Film directors
have a tough task keeping its audience happy; however the more suspense they create in their
films, the more appreciative we will be of it. A classic horror or an intense thriller tends to leave
us all on the edge of our seats and this is how suspense affects viewers; what will happen next?
This is the only question we want to know the outcome of. I have decided to study three different
genres for this article: an... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This tyrannical behaviour rather instantly makes us realise the cruelty of the Tweedy regime and
how it affects the poor, helpless chickens. The severe setting and the fact that its night time, adds
to the suspense and melodrama of the scene. One point worth noting in this opening sequence is
of the soundtrack; it s of a frantic and regimental style, re inforcing the ideas about this particular
setting. Ginger however, is a wily ol character and has cunning plans to destroy the Tweedy s
long term dreams in business. The following shot of interest is mainly shrouded in darkness. We
partly see Ginger s foot, sensing that she is up to something The suspense in this is that we are
being denied information or an outcome caused by Ginger s actions. Low and behold Ginger is
again trying to escape, this time by crawling under the barbed wire, with the humour being that it
was just via the help of a metal spoon and not some of the members of her clueless crew. Ginger
tries really hard to free herself, but every time she ends up in the coal bin. The last time we see
Ginger there in the opening sequence, is built up full of suspense. Parallel editing becomes a real
feature now and so much tension is created in the semi chase scene between Ginger and Mr
Tweedy, plus two of his most vicious dogs! The constant switches of one character to another,

The (Mis) Behavior of Successful CEOs Leads to Their Departures
Question 1
The misbehavior forces that were in play in f Harry Stonecipher (p 227), Mark Hurd (p 229) and
Brian Dunn (p 229) cases were to some degree sexual harassment and fraud. Sexual harassment
happens when unwelcome advances, requested for sexual favors, and other types of verbal,
psychological, or physical abuses. (p 210) occur. In this case Harry Stonecipher was not found to
be guilty the executive did not work directly for Stonecipher and it was not considered harassment
(p 229), however there was no consensual relationship agreement or love contract (p 211) signed.
That led to Stonecipher being indirectly guilty. Mark Hurd was not involved in a sexual
harassment, yet was accused of trying to hide an inappropriate relationship with [the contractor] by
altering his expense reports. (p 229) Hurd misbehavior was fraud. Fraud is an intentional act of

New World History
Learning about Pocahontas in class made me very interested in the topic of Native Americans
coming over to The New World . I grew up learning that Native Americans were perfectly fine
with people coming over from England to conquer their land, as Disney casually depicts it. During
my research for the paper I watched The New World which was nothing like Disney s Pocahontas.
Even though they both were missing some key history elements. The New World was directed by
Terrence Malick, produced by Sarah Green, and the screenwriter was also Malick. The filmmakers
were pretty accurate with the big parts of the movie; I could imagine that these parts of the movie
were changed to make movie more exciting and entertaining. The film blends recorded... Show

So the props, costumes, sets, etc. were hand built for the film by these masters, utilizing native
woods, plants, leaves, metals, fabrics, etc. and working from historical writings and drawings,
and with the assistance of an advisory board consisting of more than a dozen archivists,
librarians, professors and others. The important recreation of Fort James was accomplished with
wood chopped out of growth in the actual Jamestown area, just as the English would have in
1607. All other elements clothing, makeup, hair designs, guns, swords, bows arrows, etc. were
constructed under Fisk s supervision from materials which would have been available to the
Indians and to the English colonists at that time (IMBD, 2). In the film, Fort James was actually
built on land off of Little Creek Dam Road in Toano, Virginia. The city of Werowocomoco was
built across the river in the Chickahominy Wildlife Management Area, which is a very beautiful
area. The agecroft hall in the movie is the real hall from the fifteenth century. It was transported
from Lanacashire to Windsor Farms on the James River in 1925. It is now also open to the public.
The Susan Constant ship also appeared in The Scarlet Letter and Disney s Squanto: An Indian

Spirited Away Essay
Give 110% this quote is usually uttered to athletes who are struggling to find motivation or to
push through a workout. It is pretty obviously a hyperbole. We usually over emphasize what we
want our children to learn. It seems that Miyazaki followed this pattern in his film Spirited
Away, specifically in his character Chihiro. In the story Chihiro gives 110%. She is always
humble and willing to do anything with very little personal gain involved. Chihiro is a very
idealistic representation of how to be selfless, which is not possible to apply to real life. Modern
culture has a strong opinion on being selfish versus being selfless. People who display the
personality trait of being selfish are demonized, some for good reason, but sometimes it is not
possible to give the entirety of ourselves to others. If we... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Look to a child for an answer. Chihiro embodies this sense of complete trust and outpouring of
oneself. Specifically represented by her willingness to go to Zeniba s house on the small chance
that she has a possibility to save Haku s life. This choice sounds like it is relatively small and
should be an easy accomplishment, but requires going on a train that runs one way and a long
journey away. There is a chance she will not make it back to her parents and go home. Now she
does have some personal gain due to her love for Haku, but the risk of never returning home
displays how selfless she can be. Chihiro is willing to throw away chances of going home on the
slight change that she can save her friend. She does not stop there, she brings along the monster,
No face, who was terrorizing the bath house. She not only does something for little gain, but
changes others for the better in the process. By bringing No face, she is bettering the world for
everyone when she could have easily left him there to continue to cause problems. The only issue
is the way she is portrayed is not entirely accurate to how real life

William Shakespeare s Othello And Racial Interactions...
New York City is the biggest, most international, multi racial and cultural difference city in the
world. It is common for the New Yorkers to interact with people visiting from all over the world.
The racial differences seem not to matter to anyone in New York. The book Othello show
similarities to racial interactions with the ones from New York City. However, looking closer at the
play, Othello, seem to show us many interesting aspects of cultural differences. It seems that not
only, racial and cultural differences were unconventional, but also unnatural .
As an illustration, within first act of Othello , Roderigo and Iago encounter Brabanito and make
many _not nice__ remarks towards the relationship between Brabanito s daughter and Othello. Iago
says (...) an old black ram is tupping your white ewe. (P.30), suggesting that the black ram is
Othello, and the white ewe is Desdemona. The first aspect of that quote is that a black ram,
meaning black person (Othello) shouldn t be tapping, meaning reproduce (having sex) with a white
ewe, a white person (Desdemona). Iago suggests that Othello s relationship is not only
unconventional to the society in those times, but also unnatural . Iago tries to explain that Othello s
and Desdemona s relationship in unnatural because, as he states in the previous citation, a black
ram and a white ewe shouldn t be interacting with each other. Another supportive line that Iago used
to underline the racial difference, and the

The Research Design For A High Quality For Healthcare And...
Researches are always carried out with the purpose of answering questions that are there, to

This paper tries to look at what the researchers were after and at the same trying to see the
challenges they faced and their limitations. It basically tries to understand why the researchers
chose the research design that has been used in the research. Thesis What reasons did the
researchers have in carrying out this research and what significance does it have. The research
design that was chosen, what reasons are behind it being chosen? Did the researchers achieve their
objective? The researchers try to bring out the importance of having a high quality in healthcare
and social services and how it can be achieved. They acknowledge that various stakeholders are
involved in the development of a meaningful and significant of high quality in the fields of

During charging, the cycle is reversed: the lead sulfate and water are electro chemically converted
to lead, lead oxide and sulfuric acid by an external electrical charging source.
Ni Cd CELLS: Nickel cadmium battery ,fairly recently developed ,is a portable rechargeable cell
and its cell voltage is fairly constant. Like a dry cell ,it can be packed in a sealed container. It can

A Call to Sacrifice
Julia Alvarez s In the Time of the Butterflies, fictionalizes the real life story of the four Mirabal
sisters: Patria, Maria Teresa, Minerva, and DedГ©. Dominican dictator, Trujillo, has Patria,
Minerva, and Maria Teresa killed for their participation in the revolution. Though not all of the
sisters gave their life, each of them sacrificed a great deal. Throughout the novel, all four sisters

sisters, however, along with this call to motherhood, each sister is also called to sacrifice. For each
sister, this call to sacrifice is answered in a different way.
Early in her life, DedГ© s father predicts that she will be a survivor: She ll bury us all, her father

Internal Financial Statements For Business Performance And...
Introduction
The details of even the smallest business or commercial enterprise can be extremely complicated.
Global enterprises are significantly more complex. Internal financial statements provide business
leaders a method to evaluate business performance and support the decision making process. The
income statement, balance sheet, and statement of cash flows are important financial statements
used by a firm s managers, owners, and lenders. Ratio Analysis provides a method to analyze these
statements.
Income Statement The income statement is an important tool for tracking cash flow in and out of
an organization. The income statement tracks revenue and expenses over a period of time, or

359). This snapshot provides a clear understanding of where the company stands financially.
Similar to the income statement, the balance sheet can be compared to previous balance sheets to
understand key financial trends of the organization. The balance sheet, by definition, is associated
with balancing assets, liabilities, and owner equity. Company assets should equal liabilities plus
owner equity (Melicher Norton, 2014, p. 359). This relationship, a balanced equation between
assets, liabilities, and equity, provides the balance sheet its name. Some of the major assets
claimed by a corporation include cash, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets (Melicher
Norton, 2014, pp. 359 360) while major liabilities include accounts payable and various types of
debt (Melicher Norton, 2014, p. 360 361). Equity can include preferred stock, common stock, or
retained earnings (Melicher Norton, 2014, p. 361). Like the income statement, the balance sheet
provides consistency on how financial information is organized and categorized. It provides a
consistent method to view the information of a corporation over time and also allows for the
comparison of financial information between companies.
Statement of Cash Flows The statement of cash flows looks at inbound and outbound cash from a
different perspective than the income

Western medicine. This book does not focus on a specific time period or regions where Chinese
medicine is practiced. Rather, it centers on the logic behind Chinese medicine. After studying
Chinese medicine in Macao, Ted Kaptchuk returned to America and realized that he could not
abandon what he learned just because it was different from Western medicine. Chinese medicine is

upgrades cause problems and don t produce the desired results. What are Exhaust Headers They

This reduces back pressure, but can interfere with other auto parts. Let me provide a nightmare
example. On the [1970s Dodge Dart Swinger] with a 340 small block, installing headers is
difficult. Buying a complete kit designed by a Mopar specialist for this model Dart doesn t make
it easier. The first problem is you have to lift the engine with a hoist to install them. Interference
with the upper control arms and the tie rods is yet another issue. After completing the operation,
the problems began to surface. To clear some suspension parts the headers had now become the
lowest part of the automobile. After going over a few speed bumps the tubes that serviced the
front cylinders were completely smashed closed. Instead of increasing efficiency the end result
was exactly the opposite. Reasons to Pass on High performance Headers If reviewing the above
information didn t talk you out of installing aftermarket headers, I have a couple more issues to
make clear. Classic muscle car enthusiasts keep the automobile original to preserve the value. If
you do install aftermarket high performance parts label and save the original factory

What it evolved into wasn t a second battle of Sidney Street as the Daily Mail claims because
Craig was the only one shooting, until a police officer fired three warning shots into the air.
Leaving out bits of information such as how Craig jumped from the building after shooting the
police officer stops people from feeling sorry for the bandits and making up excuses for them like
saying that if he jumped he can t have meant it.
By writing about the gangsters as if they were shooting at everyone and not just to scare the police
away, the media have created an interesting story that people will want to read and find out how the
case progresses and what verdict it will get in court, which is the effect that they would have
anticipated.

Community Vs. Perception Of Alcohol
Ian Markle 10/03/2016 Community vs Paranoia The influence of alcohol has been everywhere
in human history and is undoubtedly the most dominant psychoactive substance in every human
culture. It was critical for developing countries where alcohol was key to trade. (Awkward)
Alcohol was one of the main three psychoactive products (with tobacco and caffeine) which
helped drive the globalization of trade from the 17th century. Today, the consumption of alcohol
has become more omnipresent because of how diversified drinks have become. Drinking is an
increasingly globalized cultural practice because alcohol is a substance with a global history.
Producers of these alcoholic beverages tend to be large corporations reliant on innovative
marketing techniques. The global alcohol industry is also trying to expand into developing
countries while continuing to collect profits in the saturated markets of North America and
Europe. Thesis: No one knows for certain as to when humans first produced alcohol. The original
alcoholic drink could have been created from berries or honey. But according to (quote), the
discovery of late Stone Age beer containers dating back to 8000 BCE demonstrates that humans
have been fermenting alcoholic drinks for at least 10,000 years. Since then alcohol has been
produced, consumed, and traded by humans for thousands of years. An early example of alcohol
trade happens in 3000 B.C., early Mesopotamian farmers realized that the alcohol surplus they

Construction and Demolition Waste
Briefing Paper: Construction and Demolition Waste
Construction and demolition waste (CDW) is a significant issue in New Zealand. Teo and
Loosemore (2001) maintain: Levels of waste within the construction industry need to be reduced for
environmental and economic reasons. Changing people s wasteful behaviour can make a
significant contribution (pp.741). This paper defines the CDW issue, significant stakeholders,
relevant ethical theories and costs.
CDW has increased as construction volumes have risen generally, and following natural disasters.
For example, the Canterbury Earthquakes generated a major increase in CDW. Major damage to
buildings, rock falls and landslips, liquefaction and major infrastructure damage has left an
estimated $7.1 billion [Earthquake Commission] EQC bill, says Mackenzie (2011 pp.33). The
Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA, n.d.) estimated 8 million tonnes of CDW.
CERA (n.d.) points to the construction industry and local authorities working together to find and
quickly implement new solutions for recycling or reusing waste.
More generally, Level Organisation (2013) noted that demolition and construction processes are
the most significant producer of waste as opposed to other stages of buildings lives. Much CDW
is seen to be preventable: Most of this dumping of construction waste is unnecessary it has been
demonstrated that simply by sorting waste, at least half of it could be diverted from landfills (Level
Organisation, 2013).

Corn Prices
The Effect of U.S. Ethanol on Corn Prices
Introduction: There are over 96 million acres of corn planted in the U.S. every year, where the mid
west dominates the country in production. Corn can be used for a variety of things that include;
energy ingredient in livestock feed, ethanol for biofuels, oils, sweeteners, alcohol, and food
substances such as starches.
Ethanol production in the U.S. has been on the rise for over the last 10 years. Production totals
were around 115,604 barrels (1,000 barrels) in 2006 and has more than doubled by 2014 reaching
341,419 barrels (1,000 barrels). A majority of the US ethanol is made from corn. In 2013 the U.S.
used 4.7 billion bushels of corn (40% of the harvest) to produce over 13 billion gallons of ... Show

A comparison of results with the no subsidy results and with actual prices and quantities shows
separate estimates of the impact on corn. The general pattern of corn prices would have been the
same as in the historical period without ethanol subsidies or without expansion of ethanol, rising
from 2005 to 2007 and then declining to 2009. Corn prices would have still risen dramatically in
2007, to $3.75 per bushel. Policy: By 2011 most cars on U.S. roads could run on blends of up to
10% ethanol (E10), and manufacturers had begun producing vehicles designed for much higher
percentages. Flexible fuel cars, trucks, and minivans use gasoline/ethanol blends ranging from
pure gasoline up to 85% ethanol (E85). By early 2013 there were around 11 million E85 capable
vehicles on U.S roads. In January 2011 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted
a waiver to allow up to 15% of ethanol blended with gasoline (E15) to be sold only for cars and
light pickup trucks with a model year of 2001 or later. The EPA waiver authorizes, but does not

Workplace Diversity Issues
Workplace diversity policies have emerged among countless companies, in an attempt to increase
diversity among its workers. While noble in idea, the effect it is having is ultimately questionable.
In a very recent study conducted by Dover, Kaiser, and Major, its overall effect to company
diversity is negligible (John Moyer, 2016). The study went on to demonstrate diversity policies can
blind white men to racismand sexism at work and also lead to resentment (Moyer, 2016, p. 1).
This idea is reinforced via Reddit commenters anecdotes and an older study (Moyer, 2016). The
study demonstrated how whites felt threatened by companies that had workplace diversity policies
compared to companies that didn t (Moyer, 2016, p.2). In essence, as the country increases in
diversity, white peoplefeel more threatened (Moyer, 2016, p.3).
This article relates to our class by demonstrating the racial friction in America. In thinking that the
increase in diversity as threatening to the status quo, it is unsurprising that white people feel
threatened and treated unfairly. This perceived unfairness leads to racism and sexism in and out of
the workplace. Which, in turn, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The study was very recent, a pleasant surprise, and it raised some interesting thoughts. I wished
the article explained how to go about increasing workplace diversity. On a side note, I found the
use of the word white people almost dehumanizing, which could easily be transferred on to the
media s (and the everyday) use of the word black people. Obviously, I found it odd, due to the fact
I am white, which entails that I have white privilege. Also citing Reddit commenters, while it is the
front page of the internet, was rather odd to see. Unsurprisingly enough, I agree with the study. I
personally remember stories told to me where the mere mention of workplace diversity was filled
with contempt. While sad, it personally validates the study s

United Nations Shortcomings
The United Nations is one of the most well known international organizations in the world. It tries
to serve the task of maintaining international order by promoting international collaboration
throughout its 193 member states and various agencies. The United Nations facilitates order by the
coordination of international security, international law, economic development, human rights,
social progress, and trying to maintain world peace. Overall, the United Nationshas failed to deliver
on its main objectives which has resulted in the organization having little to no power. The United
Nations shortcomings are evidently shown through the United Nations Security Council s (UNSC)
unsuccessful prevention of international conflicts, its organization s ignorance towards human
rights crimes, and the little to no authoritative power that the organization possesses in resolving
conflicts as a mediator.
The United Nations most widely known purpose is to prevent conflicts within and between
countries. However, the United Nations has failed to prevent a plethora of conflicts, resulting in
catastrophic consequences. An ongoing conflict, The Somali Civil War began in 1991. In 1992, as
the Somali Civil War crisis worsened, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) sanctioned the
Unified Task Force (UNITAF) to initiate a safe and protective environment to allow humanitarian
efforts to proceed. However, the UN s efforts completely failed, resulting in a crisis.

The Impact of Economic Meltdown on the Nigeria Banking...
ABSTRACT
This study tends to unravel the effects of economic meltdown on employee productivity in the
Nigerian banking system using the August 14, 2009 CBN intervention into commercial banks (as a
result of the meltdown originating from unsecured credits and poor bank management in the
Nigerian commercial banking system) as a benchmark to analyze the effects. Data was collected
from journals, interviews and direct data from specific units of the bank. The appraisal of the staff
of Intercontinental Bank was used to assess performance under the first hypothesis. The second
hypothesis tends to seek the staff opinion on effects of policy changes in the system and their
performance. The study suggests that the economy ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In this research work, the impact of the economic meltdown and recent banking reforms in
Intercontinental Bank Plc has been critically analyzed and its impact on employee performance
will be identified and ways to ensuring a positive productive effect will be discussed.
2.2 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM
There has been a number of banking reforms in Nigeria with varying attendant effects. However,
the effect of the current reform originating from the conspicuous effect of the economic meltdown
has become of great concern. While the reform of 2004 cannot be exonerated from its attendant
casualties of job loss among others, the current reforms seems to have raised some dust.
Following the financial stringencies in the economy and the role of banks in a depressed
economy, the CBN governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on August 14, 2009 relieved some
banks CEOs of their duties for wrong exercise of executive responsibility.
As the unexpected turn in financial market prevails, forecasting economic changes is growing
more difficult, employees which are the success tools of any organization are in no small way
impaired in their level of productivity. For most bank employees in Nigeria today, the economic
crisis has led to a wave of financial anxiety. Most bankers start to ask themselves questions like,
What if I lose my job, will I be able to cater for my family and other needs?
The economic meltdown has put to threat job security and an enhanced sustainable juicy

The Societal Evolution Of Women Through Cinema

been portrayed many ways in film according to the era or according to what society considers
appealing. Often times when a women is placed at the center of the story and is the main actress
she is the product of what society makes her out to be. Dating back to the Postwar era in
Germany to now women in films, particularly the women in Pandora s Box, A Women Under the

women in these films are the result of the broken and disturbed societies. In G.W. Pabst Pandora

society during the postwar and stabilized period in Germany. Then through John Cassavetes A
Women Under the Influence we will see how Mabel struggles to live in a society that expects so
much of her. We will discuss how her illness is the result of certain social roles imposed on her.
Finally, through Frances Ha we will see Pandora Box s Lulu was essentially the creation of the
after effect of Post War Germany. Though the film was released in 1929, a time where Germany
entered the stabilized period (Weimar Republic) but Siegfried Kracauer criticizes Pabst film and
considered it to be part of the fantastic postwar era rather than to the reautic stabilized period. Films
in this time were meant to represent the reality of Germany such as the decline

companies saw that the cheap labor was available in Mexico and moved their manufacturing

one of the 1st floor bedrooms. Servepro set up 3 fans, 2 dehumidifiers, and scheduled a follow up
appointment for 8/7/17 at 5:30 pm.
The plumber arrived and went to our neighbors, but stopped never followed up with us. After
contacting the emergency builder and Tiffany to determine what happened, the plumber called
Linda around 5:00 pm. He stated that he would only come for an emergency, that we did not have
an emergency situation, and that we would have to call back Monday to schedule a regular
appointment.
Today, 8/7/17, Mike and I spoke multiple times about the situation. Mike decided to stop by, assess
the damage, and assist with contacting the right tradesmen. During the meeting, we discussed the
following:
The incident history
What Servpro found
The next steps in repairs to include but not limited to baseboards, drywall, carpet, carpet pad, and
the bathroom cabinet
What Mike determined about the BSG power over ethernet issue and how it was not relayed to us
Sending another plumber after hours to snake the toilet and tub
Power washing the remaining waste out of our walk way
The status of our windows that need to be replaced
How the platform supporting our AC

China s Constitution Case
1.When was the latest Constitution written? What does this say about the countries rule of law?
The United Kingdom s constitution was written in 1215 and was last revised in 2013. This shows
that the rule of law has remain relatively consistent besides being updated to keep up with the times.
China s constitution was adopted in 1982 and revised in 2004, which shows that China s current
rule of law is a little bit more modernized.
2.Are the three branches (executive, legislative, and judicial) mentioned in the document?
Yes, the United Kingdommentions its parliament, three judicial systems in its different regions
(Northern Ireland, Scotland, and England/Wales) and also outlines the powers of its monarch such
as the ability to dismiss ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
What types of rights are protected by the different constitutions? (political, economic, or/and social)
In the United Kingdom s constitution, the people are given rights such as the right to life, thought,
religion, and expression. The citizens of the People s Republic of China are allowed freedom of
speech, press, assembly, association, precession, demonstration and religious belief.
4.Out of the two constitutions you looked at, which provided the greatest amount of protection?
The United Kingdom s constitution provided more protection because in China, the central
governing party is the Communist Party and although power is given to the National People s
Congress to make decisions, most of those members belong to the founding Communist Party.
5.What do you think is missing from the two documents?
The People s Republic of China s constitution does declare it a socialist state and gives power to the
National People s Congress, but is missing the fact that all power is given to the Communist Party.
The constitution of the United Kingdom is missing a single document to represent the constitution
because it is made up of so many different documents.
6.What is unique about your documents? Anything written in it that we do not have in our

Sequence Pattern
In sequence pattern I got a score of 27 which means I use that pattern first. In precision pattern I
got a score of 29 which means I also use that pattern first. My score for the technical reasoning
pattern was 8 which means I usually avoid it. In confluence pattern I got a score of 22 which
means I use it as needed. With all my scores combined it makes me a dynamic learner. An
example of when I used the Sequence Pattern was when I was in high school and I was in a
CNA class doing job shadowing for the first time. I asked what exactly I was expected to do;
what my job duties were as a shadowing student . I was nervous, of course, so I asked my
teacher, whom was a long time nurse, what I was supposed to be doing exactly. She explained to
me and the other students in detail that we were to help the elderly in and out of bed, to and
from the restroom, to get them dressed and to get them to and from the cafeteria for lunch. That
sounded simple enough so we all got started helping the residents and some of the CNA s who
worked there had a completely different way of doing things, not the exact way as shown by our
teacher. I don t like when people do things differently then how I have been shown and then expect
me to do it that way as well. I had to just adjust to it and do it... Show more content on

I m not the most crafty or out of the box thinkers most of the time but I had to think of a gift that
would be special and unique to give my daughter s papa. Something he didn t already have. So
my daughter and I scoped the crafts section at the store when I came across a wooden picture
frame. Then I had the idea to have my daughter paint it and write I love my papa on it and put a
picture of my daughter and him in it. When all was said and done it looked so cute. It was unique
and a priceless gift I knew he would cherish. Sometimes all you need is a small idea to get you

Case Write Up on Keurig Essay
Case Write up Keurig
It is essential that Green Mountain s negotiation succeed because the value proposition that
comes along a new product like the portion pack system. Keurig is a start up coming looking to
expand its business venture and GMCR central location is in the Northeast and they were also
looking to expand the company s geographic existence. With expansion ideas in mind as a
common ground for both companies, it would be smart and beneficial for the companies to work
towards this specific goal. Keurig would make it feasible for GMCR to sell the K cups it will
eventually produce in parts of the country they are not already connected to once the Keurig goes
national. There is major room for them to grow and to be ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

With this being said they must find ways successfully spread out some the overheads costs that
are in dire need of attention or raise more money. The VC s are saying that they will not receive
any more money until they have proven track of strong sales. A successful negotiation would
help alleviate their economics burdens they are currently incurring this is why it is important so
they do not end up in the worst situation where they cannot get money from the VC s, angels
investors or investments banks and have to go out of business. Keruig has 2 BATNA s the first
is they can each other try to find other roasters to contract with like Starbucks, Swiss Miss,
Folgers or more regional companies like Van Houtte of Canada and Diedrich of South
California. Their second BATNA was to revert back to the old plan and produce their own
branded line True North Coffee. Under this plan they would have to raise a lot more capital from
angels and private investors. This approach would come with a lot of obstacles such as higher
costs, possibility of a lower valuation
One of the biggest barriers from GMCR s standpoint is that they realize they can possible build up
sales and marketing for the Keurig system once they start producing and endorsing the product.
They are capable of doing so because of the position that GMCR is in as an emerging

Grey s Anatomy Character Analysis
Shonda, Please Stop Killing my Favorite Characters Love, hate, life, death, and medicine; the
five crucial parts of ABC s hit TV show, Grey s Anatomy. Grey s Anatomy is a show that first
premiered on March 27, 2005. The script was written, produced, and even created by Shonda
Rhimes. Some people consider Shonda to be evil based on the plot of the show, and I do too.
On the other hand, she did create a show that many people enjoy to watch including me. I am still
an active watcher even after 14 seasons of this show. Even though I like the show so much, I
found areas in the show to critique that include the plot and the actors. The first area to critique is
the plot. The first seasons of Grey s Anatomy revolves around five new surgical interns of... Show

They are all trying to reach the goal of becoming a surgical resident in the hospital, which is the
highest position in the surgical field other than the Chief of Surgery. During their climb to the
top, they all experience dramatic moments during the show. For example, Izzie falls in love with
a patient at Seattle Grace and breaks a lot of rules to save his life. This ended Izzie s internship
and the patient ended up dying. During these scenes, Izzie was acting crazy, and she was
devastated when the patient died. The way that Izzie was portrayed was not fair and mean.
Shonda made her look like she was actually crazy, but she was not. She was acting the way any
normal person would act when a loved one dies. Many people did not like Izzie after that scene
because of the way that she acted when her patient died. Another example of a dramatic moment
is when Meredith s husband, Derek, got into a car crash and died. This was the turning point for
the whole show because Derek was another main character. The morning of his death date he
stopped on his way to work and helped some people who were in a car accident. He called the
ambulance, and they got it taken care of.

How Did Queen Elizabeth I Impact On English Society
She had the looks that would capture any man s heart. She had the grace. She had the elegances.
But most importantly, she had the unbreakable iron heart of a king. Her white, pale, innocent
face fooled everyone, but it was her actions that gave her the real image of a leader. Queen
Elizabeth I had many revolutionary impact on the English Society. It the way she rebuilt England
up from the ruins left behind by her sister and the fact that she reunited England and finally made
it a nation. She accomplished greatness without a man by her side. Growing up from a childhood
where people came in and out of her life she restricted herself from developing personal
relationships. From a young age, she had to fight her way to power. The struggles she... Show more

She stood strong even though all her advisors wanted her to marry so she would have an heir to
the throne. She refused, but she was smart enough to use this factor as an advantage with foreign
affairs. Marriage negotiations constituted a key element in Elizabeth s foreign policy. The first
marriage proposal she turned down was from Philip II in 1559, then for many years she lead on
the proposal of King Eric XIV of Sweden.2 Years later she was genuinely consulted to marry
Phillip II s cousin Archduke Charles of Austria. With the weaken relation between England and
Habsburg she then considered marrying two French Valois princes. During all these marriage
proposals from all over the world she did have her heart stolen by a dear friend. Her most certain
love was with her Master of the Horse, Lord Robert Dudley, whom she named the Earl of
Leicester in 1564. During most of his career as Master of the Horse, Lord Dudley lived apart
from his wife and very close to the Queen. Dudley s wife was slowly dying, probably of breast
cancer, but Dudley left his dying wife in their lonely castle by herself. He preferred nearly
constant service to the Queen, despite the fact that his post was a decorative and fairly
unimportant one. Even though she was deeply in love she knows that she needs to put England
before her own needs. Continuing to refuse to marry, her advisors were concerned she would not
have an heir to her throne and a civil war will break when she

  • 4. Analysis Of Mary Wroth s Sonnet 19 Time, a river that travels endlessly in the same direction, never able to go back, you must always follow the current downstream. While we are young, we think little of time and rarely worry about what the future may hold. However, as we continue to age, we become more and more aware of the impact our actions make on the rest of our lives. Even now, as I sit here at the fairly young age of 17, I am already worried that I have not made the most of the timethat has been given to me. With all the pressure put on youth to decide their futureso early into their lives, it is no wonder we harbor this anxiety. Often, I find myself romanticizing the pastbecause the future seems so frightening which many psychologists, like Toni Bernhard, consider to be an unhealthy behavior, but what else is there for me to do? As Lady Mary Wroth said, In this strange labyrinth how shall I turn? All of my worries about the past, present, and future are all mirrored well in Wroth s Sonnet 77, as this poem encapsulates my feelings of not wanting to stay where I am, but not knowing which path to take in life.... While the person I currently am would consider this boring, as I child I only wanted to explore the world around me as much as I could, to see something totally alien. Looking back, I have only the desire to return to this period of my life so that I may once again feel the lack of life s burden on my shoulders. In the story Chihiro gives 110%. She is always humble and willing to do anything with very little personal gain involved. Chihiro is a very idealistic representation of how to be selfless, which is not possible to apply to real life. Modern culture has a strong opinion on being selfish versus being selfless. The book Othello show similarities to racial interactions with the ones from New York City. However, looking closer at the play, Othello, seem to show us many interesting aspects of cultural differences. It seems that not only, racial and cultural differences were unconventional, but also unnatural . As an illustration, within first act of Othello , Roderigo and Iago encounter Brabanito and make many _not nice__ remarks towards the relationship between Brabanito s daughter and Othello. Iago says (...) an old black ram is tupping your white ewe. (P.30), suggesting that the black ram is Othello, and the white ewe is Desdemona. The first aspect of that quote is that a black ram, meaning black person (Othello) shouldn t be tapping, meaning reproduce (having sex) with a white ewe, a white person (Desdemona). Iago suggests that Othello s relationship is not only unconventional to the society in those times, but also unnatural . This relationship, a balanced equation between assets, liabilities, and equity, provides the balance sheet its name. Some of the major assets claimed by a corporation include cash, accounts receivable, inventory, and fixed assets (Melicher Norton, 2014, pp. 359 360) while major liabilities include accounts payable and various types of debt (Melicher Norton, 2014, p. 360 361). CDW has increased as construction volumes have risen generally, and following natural disasters. For example, the Canterbury Earthquakes generated a major increase in CDW. Major damage to buildings, rock falls and landslips, liquefaction and major infrastructure damage has left an estimated $7.1 billion [Earthquake Commission] EQC bill, says Mackenzie (2011 pp.33). The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA, n.d.) estimated 8 million tonnes of CDW. • 26. Corn Prices The Effect of U.S. Ethanol on Corn Prices Introduction: There are over 96 million acres of corn planted in the U.S. every year, where the mid west dominates the country in production. Corn can be used for a variety of things that include; energy ingredient in livestock feed, ethanol for biofuels, oils, sweeteners, alcohol, and food substances such as starches. Ethanol production in the U.S. has been on the rise for over the last 10 years. Production totals were around 115,604 barrels (1,000 barrels) in 2006 and has more than doubled by 2014 reaching 341,419 barrels (1,000 barrels). A majority of the US ethanol is made from corn. A comparison of results with the no subsidy results and with actual prices and quantities shows separate estimates of the impact on corn. The general pattern of corn prices would have been the same as in the historical period without ethanol subsidies or without expansion of ethanol, rising from 2005 to 2007 and then declining to 2009. Corn prices would have still risen dramatically in 2007, to $3.75 per bushel. In January 2011 the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) granted a waiver to allow up to 15% of ethanol blended with gasoline (E15) to be sold only for cars and light pickup trucks with a model year of 2001 or later. While noble in idea, the effect it is having is ultimately questionable. In a very recent study conducted by Dover, Kaiser, and Major, its overall effect to company diversity is negligible (John Moyer, 2016). The study went on to demonstrate diversity policies can blind white men to racismand sexism at work and also lead to resentment (Moyer, 2016, p. 1). This idea is reinforced via Reddit commenters anecdotes and an older study (Moyer, 2016). The study demonstrated how whites felt threatened by companies that had workplace diversity policies compared to companies that didn t (Moyer, 2016, p.2). In essence, as the country increases in diversity, white peoplefeel more threatened (Moyer, 2016, p.3). This article relates to our class by demonstrating the racial friction in America. In thinking that the increase in diversity as threatening to the status quo, it is unsurprising that white people feel threatened and treated unfairly. Obviously, I found it odd, due to the fact I am white, which entails that I have white privilege. Also citing Reddit commenters, while it is the front page of the internet, was rather odd to see. The United Nations facilitates order by the coordination of international security, international law, economic development, human rights, social progress, and trying to maintain world peace. Overall, the United Nationshas failed to deliver on its main objectives which has resulted in the organization having little to no power. The United Nations shortcomings are evidently shown through the United Nations Security Council s (UNSC) unsuccessful prevention of international conflicts, its organization s ignorance towards human rights crimes, and the little to no authoritative power that the organization possesses in resolving conflicts as a mediator. Data was collected from journals, interviews and direct data from specific units of the bank. In this research work, the impact of the economic meltdown and recent banking reforms in Intercontinental Bank Plc has been critically analyzed and its impact on employee performance will be identified and ways to ensuring a positive productive effect will be discussed. 2.2 STATEMENT OF PROBLEM There has been a number of banking reforms in Nigeria with varying attendant effects. However, the effect of the current reform originating from the conspicuous effect of the economic meltdown has become of great concern. While the reform of 2004 cannot be exonerated from its attendant casualties of job loss among others, the current reforms seems to have raised some dust. Following the financial stringencies in the economy and the role of banks in a depressed economy, the CBN governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on August 14, 2009 relieved some banks CEOs of their duties for wrong exercise of executive responsibility. As the unexpected turn in financial market prevails, forecasting economic changes is growing more difficult, employees which are the success tools of any organization are in no small way impaired in their level of productivity. For most bank employees in Nigeria today, the economic crisis has led to a wave of financial anxiety. • 46. Grey s Anatomy Character Analysis Shonda, Please Stop Killing my Favorite Characters Love, hate, life, death, and medicine; the five crucial parts of ABC s hit TV show, Grey s Anatomy. Grey s Anatomy is a show that first premiered on March 27, 2005. The script was written, produced, and even created by Shonda Rhimes. Some people consider Shonda to be evil based on the plot of the show, and I do too. On the other hand, she did create a show that many people enjoy to watch including me. I am still an active watcher even after 14 seasons of this show. Even though I like the show so much, I found areas in the show to critique that include the plot and the actors. Another example of a dramatic moment is when Meredith s husband, Derek, got into a car crash and died. This was the turning point for the whole show because Derek was another main character. The morning of his death date he stopped on his way to work and helped some people who were in a car accident. He called the ambulance, and they got it taken care of. ...
