Grill Steak
How to Grill the Perfect Steak There is nothing worse than showing up to a barbeque expecting a
nice juicy steak; only to receive some over cooked, dry, and hard as a rock piece of beef jerky the
cook wants to pass off as a steak. Knowing how to how to properly grill a steak is an essential skill
needed to be a good cook. Properly grilling a steak can separate the men from the boys and might
even impress a lady or two. There are five steps to grilling the perfect steak, choosing the best meat
for the job, letting the flavor of the beef be the hero, Temperature of the grill and steak, letting
the meat rest, and last but no least digging in! Time to choose the meat! The meat is the most
important part of this whole process. Knowing what cut of beef to gill can make or break a
barbeque. Most people believe that a filet or a tenderloin are the best cut for gilling; while it is
probably the most tender cut out there being best is debatable. Filets sacrifice flavor to be so
tender which is why they rely on the seasoning or sauce to give it a better flavor. Then there are
ribeyes, ribeyes have amazing flavor but tend to be fattier. Lastly there is the New York strip which

No matter how much make up you put on a pig at the end of the day it s still a pig. Salt and
butter should be the only seasoning used while grilling steaks. If quality steaks are being used
then the last thing that should be tasted is a super sugary marinade or barbeque sauce. If there
are too many flavors then the true flavor of the steak disappears. Salt the meat for at least 40
minutes before cooking. The salt will slowly work its way deep in to the steak seasoning the
whole steak not just the outside. Butter on the other hand should be applied to the steak while
grilling. When the steak is grilled the fat in the steak opens up and absorbs more flavor so a light
coating of butter really enhances the overall flavor of the

Fredrick Argument
Fredrick, I enjoyed reading your discussion post and found it to be very well thought out. Right
off the bat your argument resonated with me. Your statement of when you know better, you do
better was pivotal. After learning about the name of Washington s NFL team, I talked with my
son whom is nine years old about his Redskin s blanket, which I purchased for him because he
likes the team. Nevertheless, I will be the first to admit that I am embarrassed by my stupidity and
for the part I played in supporting racial slur. Needless to say the choice was made not keep the
blanket or any other sport related caricature that trivialize raceof people. Also it appears that your

Lab Report Chromatography
Procedure: First, we began the lab with the chromatography strip positioned 152 mm tall and 19
mm wide. Using a ruler and pencil, we drew 15 mm from the bottom of the paper across the
width. We measured 9.5 mm from the edge and placed a dot with the pencil on the line to mark
the starting point. The, we measured 20 mm from the top of the strip and folded across the width
of the strip. These few steps were repeated with a second strip. Next, the red and purple dyes were
obtained. Using 2 clean toothpicks, the chromatographystrips were spotted by placing the toothpick
into a dye and then touch the tip gently onto the designated pencil dot. The sample was allowed to

While the samples are drying, two 250 mL Erlenmeyer flasks and watch glasses were obtained.
Then, we poured 20 mL of 2% chromatography solvent (isopropyl) into each flask. We covered
each flask with a watch glass. Once the chromatography paper is dry, the watch glasses were
removed. Next, the strips were carefully hanged into the 2 flasks with the sample side down. We
made sure to keep the sample spots above the level of the solvent. Afterwards, we placed the
watch glasses back on top. The chromatography was allowed to develop. We recorded
observations of dye samples as the solvent traveled up. When the solvent was within 1 to 2 cm
of fold in strip, the run was stopped by removing strips from flasks. With a pencil, we lightly
drew a line to mark the distance the solvent has traveled, which is called the solvent front. Using
a ruler, we measured the distance from the pencil line at the bottom of the strips to the solvent
front and recorded our observations in mm. Lastly, the shape of each dye bands was traced with a
pencil to mark its locations on the strips. The distances in mm that each dye band traveled were
measured and recorded. we made sure to measure from the bottom of the strip to the center

He then goes into explaining how Calvin Coolidge lived his life as president and events that
acquired while he was in office. While reading his book he stated a lot of interesting facts with
detail proving how these events took place. Al Capone was a figure in the Chicago society being
known as the great American gangster who had an illegal booze business and caused terror and
corruption in the community. Every one of the authors chapters shows the significances in each
situation he talks about. Bryson lets the readers know the histories of the prohibition, crime,

Evaluation Of The Portfolio Management System
Guinn_ENVM625_M2_GradedAssign
Payback Model
As part of the portfolio management system, a selection criterion is used to determine which
projects are most in accord with the organizations mission. Selection criteria is usually either
financial or non financial. In the example provided we are considering which project will meet the
needs of high annual cash flow for the small startup company. Using the financial criteria for
selection we will employ the payback model, which allows for the direct assessment of future cash
flows. This model measures the time it will take for the recovery of the project investment (Larson
Gray, 2011). The limitations of this model are the assumed cash flow during only the investment
period, the exclusion of profitability, and the effect of the time value of money (Murphy, 2016).
Results: Project 1: 5.7 years; Project 2: 7.5 years; and Project 3: 5 years.
Based on the results, Project 3 would satisfy the high annual cash flow requirement with a shorter
payback period of 5 years.
Net present value (NPV)
Net present value uses managements minimum desired rate of return to calculate the value of all
net cash inflow (Larson Grey, 2011). A positive value is desired, and is the indication of the project
eligible for consideration. The greater the values the higher the rank in consideration. A negative
value would indicate the project is not financially viable.
Results: Using the Investopedia NPV calculator, it was determined

The author s purpose is to persuade the reader so that more people will become informed of the

In 2 A.D. Hua T o a surgeon used red wine and marijuana for anesthesia for painful surgeries.
Marijuana wasn t just used in China. It also spread throughout India and into North Africa, and
then eventually to Europe by A.D. 500. In 1611, Jamestown, an original American colony,
became the number one crop grower for both tobacco and marijuana. During this time, it was
used as a source of fiber. Also, in the mid 1800 s and mid 1900 s, Marijuana was used to calm
labor pains, nausea, and rheumatism. Marijuana in the south during 1890 was a more popular

North America during the World War Two era, because Asia s hemp was cut off. Culture also

The American Media s Influence On The Italian American
The American media has had a substantial influence on the Italian American stereotype, especially
that regarding mobsters. The American cinema has created movies and TV shows such as The
Godfather, Goodfellas, The Sopranos, and more. The media has the power to influence how people
think and see things, including ethnic groupsand races. This was seen extensively in the 2016
United States Presidential election. Hollywood has always had the strength to have ethnic groups
be seen in a positive or negative light. In the twentieth century, the media had a negative portrayal
of Italian Americans that has evolved as time passed. The reason for the views changing with each
passing decade is the fact that foreigners and their future generations became more Americanized.
First, Hollywood and the media had a negative portrayal of Italian Americans compared to other
ethnic groups. In the article Family, Gang, and Ethnicity in Italian themed Hollywood Gangster
Films, the author Silvia Dibeltulo states that in movies where both Italian American and Irish
American gangsters were portrayed, Italian American gangsters were portrayed as more alien
whereas their Italian American counterparts were portrayed as more assimilated . This led to
Italians being negatively associated with the stereotypes from these movies, which led to anxiety
across the country. The article goes on to state more differences between the depictions of Italian
American and Irish American gangs in films. The

The Lion King Film Analysis
The social implications children s animated movies portray is a strong example as to why there are
strong societal standards around gender, sexuality, race, and class. Most children s films are
completely heterosexual and the majority of children s films portray male characters of more
importance than femalecharacters. Children s film also portray characters of color to be in a lower
class, to be of less importance, and are even portrayed as villains. These social implications
influence the ideas that maledominance, heterosexual dominance, and white dominance make up
individuals who are of more importance in society. Both the animated movies Shark Tale and The

In one sense, Oscar can be viewed as privileged due to his gender but because he is black and in a
lower class, he still is not a member in society that s viewed as being a part of the top of the reef.
Oscar s gender does give him an advantage but his race and class changes the extent of his
privilege in his process to try and make it to the top of the reef. This is an example of the way that
being intersectionally marginalized can affect a person s entire life style.
The Lion King and Shark Tale both have characters that are portrayed as both black and lower
class. In The Lion King, the hyenas, the villains of the movie, are portrayed as black and the
actors used for the characters are all black as well. The hyenas live in the Elephant Graveyard,
which is clearly portrayed as the inferior location in the film. It s portrayed in a dark, dirty, and
poor manner in comparison to Pride Rock, which would be considered the higher class area in
the film. The individuals that live in Pride Rock, the higher class area, also discriminate and talk
very badly about the Elephant Graveyard and those living there, implying elitism within those
who are higher class. The animals in Pride Rock specifically make it clear that only individuals
that live in Pride Rock are to be leaders of the kingdom. This also portrays elitism within the upper

How Did Nero Unstable Rule

Nero: A Powerful yet Unstable Ruler. Nero was a highly influential Roman leader whose actions

Rome. Nero was born to Gnaeus Domitius Ahenobarbus and Agrippina, the great granddaughter of
Augustus in 37 A.D, with the full name of Lucius Domitius Ahenobarbus. He was the last remaining
direct male descendant of Augustus. Nero received a good education and was taught by Seneca. He

married her uncle, Claudius who at the time was the emperor. She manipulated Claudius to make
Nero his successor instead of his son Britannicus, as well as give Nero his daughter, Octavia s
hand in marriage in 50 A.D. In 54 A.D Claudius died, and Agrippina was suspected to have
poisoned him. Nero took the throne soon after. Nero claimed that Britannicus had an epileptic

While the men had no significant personal relationship, they were certainly aware of each other s
work. In fact, Constable thought very highly of Wordsworth s poetry. As to whether that sentiment
was reciprocated... It is known that Wordsworth attended at least one of Constable s lectures on
landscape painting in 1836, however, there are no recorded comments by Wordsworth regarding
Constable until after the painter s death in 1837. You ll notice in the comments under the copy of
The Cornfield that I ve passed around that Wordsworth was a subscriber to the fund that bought the
painting for the National Gallery. He contributed one guinea. Other than this, there is little record
of Wordsworth s feelings towards Constable and his art. The records that we do have reflect both
admiration and disdain: Wordsworth called Constable both an admiral artist and a genius, but also
commented (via Joseph Farington) on an 1807 Royal Academy exhibition of Constable s art that it
was a poor exhibition.
The Cornfield (remote)
On the other hand, Constable valued Wordsworth s poetry, calling the descriptions of landscape in
The Excursion beautiful. In the 1830s he twice connected Wordsworth s poetry to his own pictures,

The success of Chanel Perfume traces its roots back to 1870, when Ernest Wertheimer moved from

The Theory Of The Work Of Art
Cubism was always an interpretation of objective reality, of a given motif. But Kandinsky was to

personal and even apocalyptic.
2 Kandinsky conclude non objective painting must be expressive, emotion or spiritual experience.
Non objective painting could form and colour, free form all representational aim, be articulated into

3.Art is a construction of concrete elements of form and colour which become expressive in the
process of synthesis or arrangement: the form of the work of art is in itself the content, and
whatever expressiveness there is in the work of art originates with the form.
4. The whole purpose of this alternative principle was to escape from the internal necessities of our
individual existence and to create a pure art, free from human tragedy , impersonal and universal.

Non Traditional vs Traditional Learners A Look at Statistics and Outcomes
Historically, the quintessential college student leaves home at the age of 18 to live on a college
campus for four years. These students have long been labeled as Traditional college students with
the learning category outliers such as Adult, Online, Part Time, and those working Full Time while
earning a degree being considered Non Traditional and a minority amongst students. However, the

Students with one or fewer characteristics are minimally traditional, two to three characteristics are
moderately traditional, and having four or more characteristics define highly Non Traditional
students. (Hoyt, Howell, Young Wygant 2010)
For highly Non Traditional learners there are several factors that can negatively impact their lives.
Lack of time, including child rearing and full time work that limits time and opportunity is often
cited as a major constraint. Additionally, highly Non Traditional learners are significantly less
active in campus activities and are less involved in the the general college experience. Hoyt,
Howell, Young Wygant s 2010 study found that Non Traditional students were Less likely than
traditional students to participate in other academically related activities such as organized off
campus study opportunities (10% versus 17% ) and forums, seminars, galleries, and recitals related
to their major (49% versus 56%).
Student involvement on campus is viewed by higher education institutions as an important metric
in predicting academic achievement. While GPA does not assess specific learning outcomes, it
can be used as a factor to assess academic success. A study at Purdue Universityfound that students
who are involved in student organizations having statistically higher GPAs than the general student

One point of contention between Halsall and Heather is the labeling of the Sassanid Persians. The
former said pays little mind to the Persians, saying that they were not considered to be barbarians

barbarian than simply living outside the Roman Empire(Halsall 52). The latter, on the other hand,
clearly states that they were thought of as a barbarian culture (Heather, 57 58). This causes the
reader to question what exactly the term barbarian meant to the citizens of the Roman Empire and
how this related to the Sassanid Persians. The label of barbarian was related to the lifestyle,

the view that barbarians represented humanity s irrationality, the Romans would not have
wanted to believe that their greatest military rivals were barbarians. Therefore, it is only natural
that they did not label the Persians as such. One should remember that while they might have
believed that Western barbarian cultures were less able to plan a battle due to a lack of reason,
it does not mean that they were actually poor fighters. In fact, they could rival the Roman army
in all but training and numbers (Halsall, 146). They were even able to defeat Roman troops from
time to time. One example from the early empire, was the loss of three legions led by P.
Quinctilius Varus to an alliance of Germanic fighters (Heather, 46). Nor did it meant that barbarian
forces were seen as universally weak. Barbarian peoples had been incorporated into the army even
when the empire was new (Halsall, 105). This inclusion could be seen in the potentially inherited
ethnic names that certain regiments, even

Essay On Japan Labor Shortage Advantages And Disadvantages
Challenges that created by country characteristics:
1.High land prices
Japan is an island country(see in figure 1), the land area is only 378,000 square kilometers. Land
is in short supply, especially in the business district in Japan. And the price is absolutely the most
prohibitive all around the world. This is one of the major obstacles to business expansion in Japan.
Possible measures to deal with shortages include open stores dedicated to delivery, the
establishment of standard stores in lower rental areas, or the development of more profitable shops
with smaller kitchen areas.
Figure 1
2. Labor shortage and Japanese labor practices
Because of the lack of young workers from structural rather than temporal changes, including the
decline in the birth rate of Japan, labor shortages for the fast food industry becomes a serious
problem. Fast food industry mainly relies on high school graduates and college students part time
staff. Half of the full time employees, including the managers, are college graduates.
Therefore, management must provide them with the benefits of Japanese employment practices,
such as the seniority system and the lifetime employment system. Management must also be
concerned about the increase in salary levels and prevent them from leaving to ensure the future
potential of employees. In order to address labor shortage challenge, Kentucky Fried Chicken is
attracting working conditions by developing a new system, getting rid of dirty, dangerous, hard

Donald Horne has raised seven commitments in his book called An Australian compact. Two of
these that will be discussed throughout this essay are To uphold the ideal of Australian as a

Here in the United States, there are medical facilities who because of their religious affiliations

hospitals, and their adherence the religious doctrines that are set forth by either churches or other
religious orders, that people may find that they can be denied certain procedures forcing people to
face unneeded consequences. The group of people that can specifically fine themselves denied are

Storytelling can be found in every corner of the world. It is used to pass the time, tell of past or

Chinese Seamstress, by Dai Sijie, storytelling occurs during times of hopelessness when life seems
hard and allows the characters to live vicariously through the tales told. The narrator and Luo use
storytelling as an escapefrom reality in times of desperation. The tailor is influenced by the stories

minimum. In my picture, the spider is working hard to make a web. Second, I think I am wise

decisions. I also consider myself fairly intelligent, which is a major part of being wise. I showed

The Economic Impact Of Nuclear Energy
3.1 Economic Impact of Nuclear Energy
The primary reason that people intend to build a nuclear power plant is the cost of nuclear
energy. The number of nuclear power stations increased dramatically during the first oil crisis.
During that time, the nuclear energy is taken as a substitution of fossil fuels with reasonable
cost. Governments were afraid that the high oil price in the future would affect economics,
especially for those industrialized countries who have a lack of natural resources such as Japan
and some countries in Europe. Since the nuclear stations can operate for a fairly long period,
typically 40 to 60 years, the lifetime cost of nuclear generated electricity is low and can be very
competitive at a low price per unit energy produced. Also, majority of the cost of nuclear energy is
incurred during construction and preparation before it starts operating. The cost of uranium affects
little to the total cost of nuclear energy, so not like a thermal power station, which is sensitive to
the price of coal, natural gas or oil, the electricity price from a nuclear power plant will be pretty
stable. These advantages on cost will benefit both industry and people s living. A report from
Mckinsey about energy in Japan shows that after the Fukushima accident, because of the shutdown
of nuclear power plants, household electricity prices have increased by more than 50% from 10
в‚µ/kWh to 16в‚µ/kWh. [27] The rise of electricity price may be a result of power shortage. This

Though great change happened in abundance, each change was different for the multitude of
continents present. The greatest changes possibly occurred in respect to Europe, West Africa, and
the Americas. Europe experienced a complete overhaul of society. They moved away from
societies based on protection and moved more towards being ruled over by monarchs. They moved
away from services dependent on others and tried to focus more on mercantilism. Contrarily, West

Ancient Greeks And The Ancient Romans
The Romans had one of the most innovative and influential ancient civilizations. Although
arguments can be made for the Ancient Greeks and the Ancient Egyptians, it can be seen that the
modern world had adopted many of the values and ideas of the Ancient Romans. The achievements,
ideas, and values of the Ancient Romans have had a lasting impact on the modern world. The
majority of people don t know that many of the things they take for granted came from Ancient
Rome.
Architecture
One of the things the Romans had multiple achievements in that have left a lasting impact on the
world is there innovation of architecture. A major, lasting example of Roman architecture is the
Roman Colosseum. The Colosseum was used for all kinds of things in ancient Rome including
battle re enactments, dramas, executions, and most famous of all, it is the place where the
gladiators fought. The unique design of the Colosseum was not like other structures built at this
time. A major difference it had from any theater or other event for public viewing was the audience
was seated all around the event. The idea of seating the audience all around the event with the event
at the bottom in the center became the basis for the modern sports stadium. All stadiums of the
modern era are based on the same concept of the Colosseum; so the Colosseum was essentially the
first stadium. Another architectural achievement that left a lasting impact on the world today is the

Skin Cell Revelletion
Exfoliation is the key to getting skin that looks fresh, bright, and smooth.
As our skin ages, the rate of skin cell regeneration begins to diminish. The result is a dreary, dull
skin tone. Proper exfoliation is essential to retain a healthy, radiant glow. But, not all forms of
exfoliation are the same, and various skin types will need a personalized approach to exfoliation.
Most people know why it s important to routinely exfoliate skin. However, not everyone does it
properly. The following are a few guidelines to get you on the right path for younger, fresher
looking skin.

Immediately after using a washcloth, generously apply a thick moisturizer to soothe, replenish and
hydrate your skin.
People with overly sensitive skin should avoid excessive scrubbing, which can result in undue
irritation. Prior to applying a clay based or exfoliating glycolic mask to your entire face, apply the
product to a small area on your face to test for any irritation or skin sensitivities.
2. Exfoliating Gloves
Exfoliating gloves were created to use with or without exfoliate scrubs, and the majority of them
are great to use on any part of your body. They are particularly useful for exfoliating your legs, as
well as other larger areas of your skin where using a washcloth or small sponge may take too much

McTeigue uses characterisation and cinematic techniques including camera angles, light and
music to convey this theme. The government uses oppression by establishing ridiculous laws
that force the people to fear the world without them. These laws include curfews, rethatching
free speech and getting tortured if they speak out. The media is also a way to control people
throughout their actions and behaviour, Fear is also instilled through the lies dispelled through
media sources that demonise undesirables such as Muslims, blacks and homosexuals. Example
when Chancellor Sutler uses the media for his own gain Lewis Prothero carries out orders of the
Chancellor . Chancellor Sutler is a character who is in control of the citizen s daily life in every
way. In addition camera angles are used to show his power within the state, example when
Chancellor Sutler is seen is the large in the screen, as the rest of his workers are seen small and
fearful, this symbolises that he has power over the people, by promoting the citizens to fear and
obey unlike using the media to convey his message across London as mind control . Chancellor

A Long Way Gone By Ishmael Beah And The Movie Blood Diamond
Imagine if you had a younger sibling or relatives between the ages nine through eighteen. What
if they were forced to be sent to fight in the war at such a young age. But in Sierra Leone, that is
not the case. Many children within that area were taken from their own homes and were
threatened to become adult soldiers. As for the book, A Long Way Gone wrote by Ishmael Beah
and the movie Blood Diamond , shows a briefly description of how young innocent children were
obligated to be committed to be a soldier. Most of the children were restrained from leaving the
different rankings that they were sent to.
Ishmael Beah, is a veteran who wrote the novel A Long Way Gone , that shares his horrific
memoir experience in A Long Way Gone. In Beah s younger years he was a happy child who
loved listening to the genre rap along with listening to rap he enjoyed breakdancing on his free
time. Ishmael life was different compared to other children s lifestyle. At the age of twelve, he was
one of the children who was taken away by Revolutionary United Front (RUF) and forced to
become a child soldier. The 2006 film Blood Diamond demonstrated the manner in which the kids
were taken from their homes and forced to become soldiers. The rebels tried taking the kids that
looked like they would be able to survive the war and kept those to continue fighting. In one scene,
the rebels blindfolded one of the chosen kids, gave him a gun, and told him to shot. Frightened the
little boy shot the gun,

Nature of South China Sea Disputes
The issues on South China Sea disputes are inherently complex and are compounded by conflicting
interpretations from the claimant states. In attempting to dissect this conundrum, Dutton (2011)
propounds a framework to explain the three facets to the disputes territorial sovereignty, jurisdiction
over sea zones, and control over military activities. The argument on territorial sovereignty
premises on the notion of complete state authority over part of, or all of the islands in the South
China Sea, in particular the Paracel and Spratly Islands. Common to both, China is the only state
that has made sovereignty claims over both clusters of islands. It is noted that since 1949, the
Zhou Enlai government has published maps with nine dashes forming a U shape line in the South
China Sea demarcating its maritime boundaries (Nguyen, 2012). In late 2012, China even
published maps with the U shape line in its new passports (Anderlini amp; Bland, 2012).
Separately, Dillon (2011) posits that Beijing s territorial assertion in the South China Sea stems
from the historical tributary system with its vassal kingdoms that span from Japan and Korea in the

Truth In Sentencing Policies and the Effects on Courts and...
Society has high expectations for criminal justice. Controlling the behavior of people is a difficult
task, and there are several differing opinions on how this should happen. Many believe this can best
accomplished by prevention through deterrence. Deterrence can be achieved from increased police
patrols, good relationships with the community, and through tough penalties for convicted
criminals. When deterrence fails, criminals need to be identified and held accountable for their
actions. Law enforcement enforces many different crimes; some of the most serious crimes are
violent crimes. According to the FBI s Uniform CrimeReporting Program, violent crime is defined
by four offenses: murder and non negligent manslaughter,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

According to Brian J. Ostrom, Truth in sentencing is the most prominent sentencing reform
movement of the 1990s (2001). Truth in sentencing was designed to closely align the sentence
imposed by the judge with the actual amount of time served in prison by restricting or eliminating
parole eligibility and good time. This violent offender incarceration and truth in sentencing initiative
was amended in 1996 to promote reform by providing States grants to expand their prison capacity
if they included truth in sentencing requirements to violent offenders (Rosich, 2005). This grant
program was instrumental in many states adopting the truth in sentencing guidelines into their
policies. To be eligible for grants, each state had to demonstrate they applied truth in sentencing
laws, within three years truth in sentencing laws would be implemented. By 1999, 41 states and the
District of Columbia passed laws or implemented some form of truth in sentencing; however each
state varied in their applications.
TRUTH IN SENTENCING EFFECT IN COURT Each states truth in sentencing policies regulated
offender s time in prison, each state chose different ways to do so. The basic sentence of time
served may be determinate or indeterminate, for the states using indeterminate sentences this
percentage can apply to the minimum or maximum sentence. Most states that used truth in

Essay about The Key Change Needed for an Alcohic to Recover
The spiritual experience is about the personality change that occurs in mind of an alcoholic. This
change is the ultimate key that unlocks the door to recovery. Additionally, the appendix describes
how the process of recovery is paved with religious experiences. It is believed that a religious
experience must be sudden or spectacular. However, the appendix states that everyone s
experience is personal and unique. However, this is a very difficult experience to embrace. This is
the very element that forces alcoholics to finally confront and overcome their inner demons.

Life Long Learner Approach For Teaching
Having believed in life long learner approach, every now and then I have learned from others at
numerous instances. Before CELTA, teaching was just a mundane practice for me. I was very much
an average teacher and barely try to link with any student. Throughout this whole learning process, I
have enjoyed learning through edutainment, a blend of educationand entertainment that enhance
learning tremendously. The guidance and assistance given by my mentors are still working
exquisitely; for certain it was a magnum opus. CELTA reformed my teaching practice; I am on the
crest of a wave since then.
Besides, every teacher can narrate numerous highs and lows in their teaching career. Personally, I
experienced many great moments while teaching. Over my last 8 years of teaching and working in
education, one event stands above the rest as my absolute best teaching experience. Through the
years, I learned so much about teaching and dealing with students. Recently I graduated with TESL
Ontario and TESL Canada from Canadian College of Educators, Canada.
Today TESL (Teaching English as a Second Language) plays an imperative role in Canada.
TESL Canada National Certification Standards for Instructors of English as a Second Language
or Foreign Language in Adult Programs were developed for instructors trained in Canada an
obligation in today s ESL or educational world. By all odds, education system has developed more
and more than the previous times and it is one of the leading systems

Why People Eat Bananas
Bananas, a very common fruit that is seen at all grocery stores are not naturally made. There are
dozen of species and different types of bananas, though they are not the ones that humans consume.
The banana that humans eat is called the Cavendish banana. This was not always the banana of
choice. The Gros Michel was the banana of choice until the 1960s. Though, the Gros Michel was
extincted due to the Panama disease. A disease which is now threating the survival of the
Cavendish and the entire fruitas a whole.
Yes, most bananas found in grocery stores and Walmarts are made by people. However, there are
wild banana plants that are native to South and Southeast Asia. Humans do not eat these bananas.
We do not eat bananas with seeds, well noticable ones. Bananas found in the stores have been
cultivated causing the seeds to stop existing. The only ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This type of banana was bigger, sweeter, and had a thicker skin. Banana flavored things like
candy and juices do not taste like normal bananas. The flavoring is actually the taste of a Gros
Michel. The reason why people do not eat Gros Michel anymore due to the genetic monotony of
the Gros Michel. A fungicide resistant pathogen, the Panama disease began infecting the crop.
When the growers finally realized of the disease, most of the population of the Gros Michel was
extinct.
Due to the common banana going extinct at this time, the entire industry had to be rebuilt for the
Cavendish banana. Although, the Cavendish is seedless the only way to reproduce the banana
was to transplant part of the plant stem. The Cavendish has been the noble banana choice due to
its resistance to the Panama disease. However, after awhile the disease will be able to figure out a
new way to infect and destroy the genetic makeup. Once one of the individuals is infected there is
no diversity to stop it. This has caused scientists to worry about the survival of the

Knowing how to how to properly grill a steak is an essential skill needed to be a good cook. Properly grilling a steak can separate the men from the boys and might even impress a lady or two. • 7. Evaluation Of The Portfolio Management System Guinn_ENVM625_M2_GradedAssign Payback Model As part of the portfolio management system, a selection criterion is used to determine which projects are most in accord with the organizations mission. Selection criteria is usually either financial or non financial. In the example provided we are considering which project will meet the needs of high annual cash flow for the small startup company. Using the financial criteria for selection we will employ the payback model, which allows for the direct assessment of future cash flows. This model measures the time it will take for the recovery of the project investment (Larson Gray, 2011). The limitations of this model are the assumed cash flow during only the investment period, the exclusion of profitability, and the effect of the time value of money (Murphy, 2016). Results: Project 1: 5.7 years; Project 2: 7.5 years; and Project 3: 5 years. Based on the results, Project 3 would satisfy the high annual cash flow requirement with a shorter payback period of 5 years. Net present value (NPV) Net present value uses managements minimum desired rate of return to calculate the value of all net cash inflow (Larson Grey, 2011). A positive value is desired, and is the indication of the project eligible for consideration. The greater the values the higher the rank in consideration. A negative value would indicate the project is not financially viable. Results: Using the Investopedia NPV calculator, it was determined ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

The American cinema has created movies and TV shows such as The Godfather, Goodfellas, The Sopranos, and more. The media has the power to influence how people think and see things, including ethnic groupsand races. This was seen extensively in the 2016 United States Presidential election. Hollywood has always had the strength to have ethnic groups be seen in a positive or negative light. In the twentieth century, the media had a negative portrayal of Italian Americans that has evolved as time passed. The reason for the views changing with each passing decade is the fact that foreigners and their future generations became more Americanized. First, Hollywood and the media had a negative portrayal of Italian Americans compared to other ethnic groups. In the article Family, Gang, and Ethnicity in Italian themed Hollywood Gangster Films, the author Silvia Dibeltulo states that in movies where both Italian American and Irish American gangsters were portrayed, Italian American gangsters were portrayed as more alien whereas their Italian American counterparts were portrayed as more assimilated . This led to Italians being negatively associated with the stereotypes from these movies, which led to anxiety across the country. The latter, on the other hand, clearly states that they were thought of as a barbarian culture (Heather, 57 58). Not only did the emperor die due to wounds inflicted in battle, but his successor, Jovian, had to make a truce with the Persians in order to return home (Maas, 336). Considering the view that barbarians represented humanity s irrationality, the Romans would not have wanted to believe that their greatest military rivals were barbarians. Therefore, it is only natural that they did not label the Persians as such. One should remember that while they might have believed that Western barbarian cultures were less able to plan a battle due to a lack of reason, it does not mean that they were actually poor fighters. In fact, they could rival the Roman army in all but training and numbers (Halsall, 146). They were even able to defeat Roman troops from time to time. One example from the early empire, was the loss of three legions led by P. Quinctilius Varus to an alliance of Germanic fighters (Heather, 46). • 30. The Economic Impact Of Nuclear Energy 3.1 Economic Impact of Nuclear Energy The primary reason that people intend to build a nuclear power plant is the cost of nuclear energy. The number of nuclear power stations increased dramatically during the first oil crisis. During that time, the nuclear energy is taken as a substitution of fossil fuels with reasonable cost. Governments were afraid that the high oil price in the future would affect economics, especially for those industrialized countries who have a lack of natural resources such as Japan and some countries in Europe. Since the nuclear stations can operate for a fairly long period, typically 40 to 60 years, the lifetime cost of nuclear generated electricity is low and can be very competitive at a low price per unit energy produced. Also, majority of the cost of nuclear energy is incurred during construction and preparation before it starts operating. The cost of uranium affects little to the total cost of nuclear energy, so not like a thermal power station, which is sensitive to the price of coal, natural gas or oil, the electricity price from a nuclear power plant will be pretty stable. These advantages on cost will benefit both industry and people s living. A report from Mckinsey about energy in Japan shows that after the Fukushima accident, because of the shutdown of nuclear power plants, household electricity prices have increased by more than 50% from 10 в‚µ/kWh to 16в‚µ/kWh. [27] The rise of electricity price may be a result of power shortage. This means ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
