The Island Of Dr Moreau Analysis
In Wells s The Island of Doctor Moreau, which will be referred to as TIODM, the Beast
Folk are forced to live under a regime created by Dr. Moreau to control their habits.
These habits include walking on four legs, eating meat, and attacking men. Perhaps the
most chilling scene of the entire novel is set in the cave of the abused former beasts
turned into humanesque simpletons. The main character, Prendick, follows one of them,
the Ape Man, back to their hovel, initiating himself into their world. Not to chase other

Those of lesser intellect become oppressed through following spiritual leaders, who

Film Analysis Of Citizen Kane
Citizen Kane was rife with innovations in cinematic technique and introduced many new
and unique aspects of mise en scГЁnГ© that would thrive in films to come. Orson
Welles was a young visionary whose career had been limited to stage production and
radio until his first film, Citizen Kane. Uniquely, as someone new to the filmindustry, he
retained full creative control of his very first project, co writing, producing, directing,
and starring as Kane himself. This unfounded level of trust for a newcomer allowed
Welles to trail blaze and experiment with techniques few other directors were willing to
risk such as a non linear story, narrative from multiple unusual character perspectives,
unique blocking and lighting, deep focus, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Additionally, the use of low camera angles required sets to be built with ceilings which
was very different from typical Hollywood conventions. Studios usually had large sets of
lights above the the set to illuminate the scene, but with the low camera angles used, the
lighting had to come from other sources, primarily atmospheric lighting. The presence of
lighting and how it is used in Citizen Kane is unique and was influenced greatly by the
low camera angles used, but after eliminating the overhead lighting effects afforded by
not having a ceiling, Welles and Toland used this absence of light to their advantage.
The use of focused light to illuminate the subject of a shot in deep focus still allowed
the viewer to pick out whatever he wanted to see, but the director still had control over
that focus using lighting and shadows. Shadows played a particularly strong part in
Citizen Kane. A notable scene is when the opera ends and Kane alone is standing to
applaud. In this scene Kane is backlit so we see his shadow standing out in stark
contrast to those around him who remain seated. Using light and dark in stark contrast
like this is called chiaroscuro and is frequently an element of film noir.
Citizen Kane can be called the first film noir. Film noir is a style characterized by the
use of chiaroscuro, unique camera angles, and stories that often include a mystery or
investigation. Welles delivers those things with his story of Charles
Revolution in France in 1789 Essay
Revolution in France in 1789 The causes of the revolution in France can be divided it
to long term causes and short term causes. The main long term cause was the way in
which the country was run. The ancien regime was the period in France before the
revolution of 1789. There was royal despotism, heavy taxes, the parlements had no real
power and the church was also exploiting the peasants. The main short term causes were
the American war of Independence, the financial crisis in France and the unwillingness
for the King and church to change. During the ancien regime the country was divided
into estates. The first estate was the clergy, the second estate were the nobles and the
third were... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They new that they had no real power, and they also knew that the King was an
absolutist ruler. This combined with the enlightenment , which was produced by the
Philosophers like Rousseau, may have been considered to form the base of a
revolution, but it would have never flourished without other factors. Many members
of the nobility also held seats in Parlements, which were up for sale. This resulted in
the important seats on the councils not being filled by people that are competent, but
by people that have enough to please the monarch and their extravagant lives. The
third estate made up approximately 98% of France. Most of them were peasants,
working on increasing small pieces of land that they rented from their lord from an
extortionate amount of money, or they worked in the factories in the cities, were the
working and living conditions were atrocious. Although in the present day state of
mind, were it is uncommon for somebody not to be educated, it is hard to realise that
these people were contempt in life. As I explained earlier, the 1st estate had extreme
power over the 3rd estate. The Peasants went to church and believed that there current
life was insignificant as long as they obeyed God and were guaranteed a place in heaven.
The peasants were also very badly educated and the ideas of the philosophers were
Lord Of The Flies Nature Analysis
William Golding s experiences in World War II deeply influenced his views on man s
nature. Golding s allegorical novel Lord of The Flies explores the frightening and
consistent, yet ignored, truths of man s nature. British schoolboys board a plane in hopes
to escape their war torn land. Unfortunately, the planeis shot down, thrusting the boys
into a deserted island and leaving them to their own devices. At first, the boys look to
find independence and freedom in the island. However, as the boys dig deeper and

This shift inhibit Jack s loss of childhood innocence and displays his vulnerability to the
evil which has taken root in his heart. Jack is no longer human; he is a savage who has
lost all control and power over his own life. So, he looks for control and power in the
lives of others.
Regardless of Jack s self serving manners, in order to ensure their own security, the
boys blindly trust and give power to Jack. The boys are forced to blindly trust Jack. It is
in human nature to either lead or to follow and Jack refuses to do the latter. Although the
boys follow Jack throughout the novel, there is evidence of slight resistance in the
beginning. When asked for support for Jack, with dreary obedience the choir raised their
hands (Golding 23). Though the choir supports Jack, it is important to note that pause.
The pause signifies a moment of not only hesitation, but thought. The shadow of
doubt, which ceases to exist further on, has passed over their minds for a brief
moment. In this moment, the boys are free. Too soon, the boys are engulfed in the
power of Jack which rips apart any chance for the boys to think for themselves. Jack
says, See? They do what I want (Golding 179). No matter whether the leader or the
follower, each one holds a responsibility. The leader holds the

Continuing Corruption in Mali
Mali was a part of West African empires that controlled trans Saharan trade: the Mali
Empire, the Songhai Empire, and the Ghana Empire. At its climax in 1300, Mali was a
large area about twice the size of France, and was doing great by itself. In the end of the
nineteenth century, during the Partition for Africa, France got control of Mali, making it a
part of French Sudan and becoming a colony. French Sudan joined with Senegal in
1959, getting its independence in 1960 as the Mali Federation. After a long phase of
one party rule, a 1991 coup led to a new constitution and the establishment of Mali as a
democratic state. Mali has been a corrupt country and was not guided into the right
direction, which cause many dictators and conflicts to arise. In spite of many political
programs against corruption demonstrated by a series of organization, Mali continues to
descend into corruption as shown by its World Bank Governance and Corruption
Perceptions Index.
Children in Mali, as little as 13 years of age, are being recruited as soldiers by armed
groups or suspected of links with them, are being held and detained by the forces of Mali
along with adults, where they say they ve been tortured. GaГ«tan Mootoo, Mali
Researcher at Amnesty International said Under international law, children should be
detained separately from adults, and Malian law also prohibits detaining them with
adults. The Malian authorities should give notice to the UNICEF when arresting children

Children s Unsatisfactory Test Scores
Test scores should reflect on how highly skilled a child s teachers are in school, because
tests measure how much children have learned. Teachers teach children lessons or
knowledge, and if they are skilled, children can remember it, which means children
should perform decently or at least average. However, provided if the teachers are
unskilled, and children don t retain anything, children logically should get an
unsatisfactory test score, which implies that the teachers aren t good enough for the job.
In order to teach children, a teacher has to minor or major in an education degree.
However, sometimes even with a degree, teachers aren t the best. They may still be
skilled, but they could practice certain teaching methods that don t help children retain
his or her teachings, and therefore wouldn t be able to recall the knowledge on tests,
which would reflect poorly on the teacher. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Of course it also can depend on the children, but usually if they can retain information,
then they should excel on tests.
Critics of this argument may argue that it s all the children s fault, but that only
happens in rare cases, and is one or two individuals out of an entire class. Overall, the
teacher s class should have a mediocre to excellent average, if there s only one child who
refuses to

Free Chapel Report
This week I spent a great amount of exploring the space at Free Chapel. I went on
Wednesday April 6th, and was hoping to attend a service, but unfortunately they no
longer have a Wednesday night service, and hold a meeting for the men s ministry
instead. In general the space inside the church is very large, and it consist of two
different level with a wide variety of room that are used for different groups of people.
Furthermore, the large cross on the outside lets people outside know what the space is
being used for, before they even enter the building. In contrast, as I began to walk around
the space I realized that there besides for a bible quote on one of the walls there are very
few relics which give the space away as a Christian space of worship. In my experience,
the space of church is used as a place where people who have some of the same beliefs
can come together to learn more about the Christian religion.... Show more content on

Firstly, there was no popular music being played as people entered the room. In
addition, the screen were not in use as the sermon was going on. I believe that this is
due to the fact that the church is catering the space to the audience that they have.
Additionally, the space consist of a stage and seats similar to a normal church setting
where people would to listen to the pastor/ speaker. However, in the back there are
also seats and tables where people can sit to socialize with each other. This proves that
the space is not only being used as a place to learn, but rather a place to socialized and
be entertained. Moreover, at the front there is a large desk that one must pass on the
way out, this in affect is a way to regulate and discourage people from leaving during the

Fat taxes have been experimented with in numerous European countries. There are many
benefits such as boosting economic growth, improving health and elongating life
expectancy. On the contrary if a fat tax is implemented into a weak economy it could
cause the loss of jobs due to higher prices. These higher prices cause local consumers to
begin to purchase their unhealthy products in different states or countries, causing the
loss of business for local industries. France, Hungary and Denmark all have experimented
with the enactment of a fat tax. All four countries experienced varied results with both
positive and negative outcomes. The French, when implementing the Junk Food Tax ,

Energy drink producers have changed their recipe, playing a cat and mouse game with
the government and their new tax regulations. There is much opposition and debate
over this, and difficult economic times have created unrest with the residents. Still,
the tax with all of this negative feedback has survived, unlike the experiment
performed in Denmark. Denmark implanted a fat tax on food products containing
more than 2.3% saturated fat. After only being in place for one year, Denmark
repealed the fat tax and got rid of an impending tax on sugar in 2012. The tax was
causing the loss of jobs due to the increased cost of doing business . Consumers began
buying food products in Sweden and Germany. Many younger adults who would
frequently purchase bags of chips after school simply began buying different brands of
potato chips that merely just changed the types of ingredients to meet the governments
fat tax demands. While the tax did bring in $216 million for the government, the higher
price of meat, dairy and butter proved to be too much for the Hungarian economy to
handle. With the loss of consumers in Denmark, business owners were not able to
sustain consistent sales to stay profitable. Americans would have even less options for
buying foreign food products considering our geography, compared to that of Denmark.
With mixed results it is necessary to carry out evaluations before implementing a fat tax.

What Is Toru Dutt Poem
Poetry is the representation of mental thoughts, it symbolize all the conflicts that
dominate the poets mind either from childhood memories or impressions laid down
by the society which is always in the process of gradual change. Every writer has
something beforehand in mind which acts as an inspiration for his/her writing. Every
poet after being inspired need to present his mental agony or bliss in a way that he be
able to make his reader fathom the real and core meaning of the issues tossing in his
mind. The poet revamps and tries to convey his message in the form of words which
may or may not convey what he/she actually wants, so as at times vocabulary couldn t
find the appropriate word for a feeling. The poets cannot claim and remain adamant...

The Ballads consists of number of Indian mythical stories which originally in Sanskrit
are very faithfully being translated into English by this young girl. This work reflects
another great quality of Toru as a storyteller. Her narrative and descriptive techniques
are very well presented in Ancient Ballads. If we keenly go through the poem Savitri
which is the opening poem of the Ancient Ballads her understanding of the Hindu
mythology and tales can be best noted here. This poem being very long is the message
for entire women living on earth, it describes how the character of a women should be,
the portrayal of Savitri is the portrayal of every women. Toru represents Savitri as an
example for all the women, her qualities and virtues need to be followed by all the
women. In the following lines Toru very beautifully describes the firmness of Savitri
who remain adhered to her choice even though she knew the fate of her choice( her

The Foreign Exchange Regulation Act
The Foreign Exchange Regulation Act or FERA, passed by the Parliament in 1973,
was framed to eradicate crimes relating to foreign exchange in the country , such that
the economic development, which was still in its pre liberalization era and thus slow,
was not adversely affected. It was also to preserve the scarce Forex or foreign exchange
currency in the country and hence tried to keep a strict control on these particular
resources. However, it was repealed and replaced by the Foreign Exchange Management
Act(1999) to reinforce and fortify the development and the maintenance of the foreign
exchange resources in the country. It was more extensive, comprehensive and since the
floodgates of the economy had opened after liberalization in 1991, had more scope to
actually reinvigorate the availability of foreign exchange in the country.
This act, in essence, was formed to keep in check the foreign exchange resources in the
country and hence all business deals involving foreign exchange need to be authorized
by the Government. It is drastic in nature as it does not allow arbitrary trade in foreign
exchange of any form, as this is a resource that needs to be willfully protected. Under this
Act, Lalit Modi had performed a number of violations. He accepted a deposit of в‚№
200 million from UK based Emerging Media (IPL), in contravention of FEMA, where
other BCCI officials were also involved. He also contravened the provisions of Foreign

Question:How do you avoid exposition?
Answer:You don t. You police it. I go back through and read it over and over and
continually ask myself do they need to say this? And in doing so, I ve come up with
some really cool scenes and interesting ways to show things that I initially had been
telling.
Fascination with Becoming a Screenwriter/Director
I made the career choice to become a screenwriter/director because it is an easy outlet.
Since I was in elementary school I was an excellent writer. I would write fairytales
upon fairytales and read them to whoever was willing to listen. When all the other
children wanted to go outside and play, I would be writing. Anywhere and
everywhere, you could always catch me with a pen and paper. Growing up I had many
dreams, had many aspirations. Over time most of those aspirations faded, and it
became all but nothing a simple dream. Yet as I grow older writing has never left my
side. I began doing spoken word which opened the door to my public speaking. Which
now has me so excited to write something, anything, knowing that people are excited and
willing to hear me
The Empty Tomb
Between how the empty tomb was discovered, who discovered it, who told the
discoverers where Jesus had gone, there were many differences in these stories details
pertaining to this. Another vast difference came in the reactions to what the storytellers
told the disciples and who Jesus appeared to in regards to getting others to believe what
has happened. Matthew 27, the crucifixion was one that is very familiar to many
Christians; this story doesn t often stray from its basis. The one new thing I did learn
was that two rebels were executed with Him and even they cursed Jesusname at the time.
One of my favorite differences between Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were when
the message of Jesus resurrection was told to people. Between the angel, the young
man with a white robe, two men in gleaming robes, or Jesus himself, the stories all
came from a different perspective but for the most part were very similar and that
specifically was interesting to research. The angel said to the women, Do not be
afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He
has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.... In this encounter,
Mary and Mary Magdaleneboth approached the tomb but was confronted by this angel
on the closed tomb who told them the fate of Jesus. In their quest to inform the
disciples of this great news they met with the presence of Jesus who told them not to be
afraid and to tell his brothers to go to Galilee and
The History of American Literature
The history of American Literature starts well before this land was even called
America. It has been a great evolution to come from tribal symbols and drawings to
today s Stephen King and Danielle Steele. Literature has gone through many phases
and was impacted by great events and ideas in American history. The earliest form of
literature in what would one day be known as America were far from what modern day
people would consider Literature . The Natives who inhabited this land first had
unwritten ways of passing on experiences, beliefs, and stories. Natives relied heavily on
the verbal telling of these stories to younger generations. The same stories, fables, or
belief structures were told repeatedly, each time identical to the last,... Show more content

Mather s rewarding career included writings on science and medicine as well as theology
and history. His Sentiments on the Small Pox Inoculated (1721) was instrumental in
introducing the smallpox vaccine to New England. A new genre for American writers,
the travel narrative, would become especially influential late in the 1700s. Travel
narratives include Travels Through the Interior Parts of North America (1778) by
Jonathan Carver and Travels Through North and South Carolina, Georgia, East and West
Florida, the Cherokee Country, etc (1791) by William Bartram . Travel stories often
blended observations on nature and landscape with tales of personal courage and
achievement. The first American newspaper, the Boston News Letter, was founded in
1704, and joined by the Boston Gazette in 1719. At a time when newspaper journalism
was concerned primarily with reporting political events, the New England Courant,
started by James Franklin in 1721, became the first newspaper to include literary
entertainment. Franklin s younger brother Benjamin Franklin published humorous social
commentary in the Courant under the pen name of Silence Dogwood . Magazines also
appeared for the first time in the colonies during the mid 1700s. Before 1800 magazines
were concerned primarily with measuring America s developing culture against the
British model. During the 1700s Boston and Philadelphia became centers of publishing
in addition to being political and commercial centers.

  • 2. The Island Of Dr Moreau Analysis In Wells s The Island of Doctor Moreau, which will be referred to as TIODM, the Beast Folk are forced to live under a regime created by Dr. Moreau to control their habits. These habits include walking on four legs, eating meat, and attacking men. Perhaps the most chilling scene of the entire novel is set in the cave of the abused former beasts turned into humanesque simpletons. The main character, Prendick, follows one of them, the Ape Man, back to their hovel, initiating himself into their world. Not to chase other Men; that is the Law. Are we not Men? Not to eat Flesh or Fish; that is the Law. Are we not Men chant the mutilations of nature, illustrating the vicious control that Moreau keeps upon his creations (75). Moreau focuses his Godlike... Western Marxism develops in Dune in the form of people seeking answers to their endless suffering as critic Seigaj writes, . . . pervasive Western belief in realizing ultimate goals in an authority, object, state of mind, system, or machine that will provide the final answers . . . This idea is seen not only in Dune s Bene Gessirit and Fremen religions, but in TIODM s Beast Folk, and Foundation s Periphery. Domination becomes blatant at the treatment of the followers under the head of the

  • 4. Film Analysis Of Citizen Kane Citizen Kane was rife with innovations in cinematic technique and introduced many new and unique aspects of mise en scГЁnГ© that would thrive in films to come. Orson Welles was a young visionary whose career had been limited to stage production and radio until his first film, Citizen Kane. Uniquely, as someone new to the filmindustry, he retained full creative control of his very first project, co writing, producing, directing, and starring as Kane himself. This unfounded level of trust for a newcomer allowed Welles to trail blaze and experiment with techniques few other directors were willing to risk such as a non linear story, narrative from multiple unusual character perspectives, unique blocking and lighting, deep focus, and... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Additionally, the use of low camera angles required sets to be built with ceilings which was very different from typical Hollywood conventions. Studios usually had large sets of lights above the the set to illuminate the scene, but with the low camera angles used, the lighting had to come from other sources, primarily atmospheric lighting. The presence of lighting and how it is used in Citizen Kane is unique and was influenced greatly by the low camera angles used, but after eliminating the overhead lighting effects afforded by not having a ceiling, Welles and Toland used this absence of light to their advantage. The use of focused light to illuminate the subject of a shot in deep focus still allowed the viewer to pick out whatever he wanted to see, but the director still had control over that focus using lighting and shadows. Shadows played a particularly strong part in Citizen Kane. A notable scene is when the opera ends and Kane alone is standing to applaud. In this scene Kane is backlit so we see his shadow standing out in stark contrast to those around him who remain seated. Using light and dark in stark contrast like this is called chiaroscuro and is frequently an element of film noir. Citizen Kane can be called the first film noir. Film noir is a style characterized by the use of chiaroscuro, unique camera angles, and stories that often include a mystery or investigation. Welles delivers those things with his story of Charles
  • 5. Revolution in France in 1789 Essay Revolution in France in 1789 The causes of the revolution in France can be divided it to long term causes and short term causes. The main long term cause was the way in which the country was run. The ancien regime was the period in France before the revolution of 1789. There was royal despotism, heavy taxes, the parlements had no real power and the church was also exploiting the peasants. The main short term causes were the American war of Independence, the financial crisis in France and the unwillingness for the King and church to change. During the ancien regime the country was divided into estates. The first estate was the clergy, the second estate were the nobles and the third were... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... They new that they had no real power, and they also knew that the King was an absolutist ruler. This combined with the enlightenment , which was produced by the Philosophers like Rousseau, may have been considered to form the base of a revolution, but it would have never flourished without other factors. Many members of the nobility also held seats in Parlements, which were up for sale. This resulted in the important seats on the councils not being filled by people that are competent, but by people that have enough to please the monarch and their extravagant lives. The third estate made up approximately 98% of France. Most of them were peasants, working on increasing small pieces of land that they rented from their lord from an extortionate amount of money, or they worked in the factories in the cities, were the working and living conditions were atrocious. Although in the present day state of mind, were it is uncommon for somebody not to be educated, it is hard to realise that these people were contempt in life. As I explained earlier, the 1st estate had extreme power over the 3rd estate. The Peasants went to church and believed that there current life was insignificant as long as they obeyed God and were guaranteed a place in heaven. The peasants were also very badly educated and the ideas of the philosophers were

Golding s allegorical novel Lord of The Flies explores the frightening and consistent, yet ignored, truths of man s nature. British schoolboys board a plane in hopes to escape their war torn land. Unfortunately, the planeis shot down, thrusting the boys into a deserted island and leaving them to their own devices. At first, the boys look to find independence and freedom in the island. Jack is no longer human; he is a savage who has lost all control and power over his own life. So, he looks for control and power in the lives of others. Regardless of Jack s self serving manners, in order to ensure their own security, the boys blindly trust and give power to Jack. The boys are forced to blindly trust Jack. It is in human nature to either lead or to follow and Jack refuses to do the latter. Although the boys follow Jack throughout the novel, there is evidence of slight resistance in the beginning. When asked for support for Jack, with dreary obedience the choir raised their hands (Golding 23). Though the choir supports Jack, it is important to note that pause. The pause signifies a moment of not only hesitation, but thought. The shadow of doubt, which ceases to exist further on, has passed over their minds for a brief moment. In this moment, the boys are free. Too soon, the boys are engulfed in the power of Jack which rips apart any chance for the boys to think for themselves. Jack says, See? They do what I want (Golding 179). No matter whether the leader or the follower, each one holds a responsibility. The leader holds the

  • 8. Continuing Corruption in Mali Mali was a part of West African empires that controlled trans Saharan trade: the Mali Empire, the Songhai Empire, and the Ghana Empire. At its climax in 1300, Mali was a large area about twice the size of France, and was doing great by itself. In the end of the nineteenth century, during the Partition for Africa, France got control of Mali, making it a part of French Sudan and becoming a colony. French Sudan joined with Senegal in 1959, getting its independence in 1960 as the Mali Federation. After a long phase of one party rule, a 1991 coup led to a new constitution and the establishment of Mali as a democratic state. Mali has been a corrupt country and was not guided into the right direction, which cause many dictators and conflicts to arise. In spite of many political programs against corruption demonstrated by a series of organization, Mali continues to descend into corruption as shown by its World Bank Governance and Corruption Perceptions Index. Children in Mali, as little as 13 years of age, are being recruited as soldiers by armed groups or suspected of links with them, are being held and detained by the forces of Mali along with adults, where they say they ve been tortured. GaГ«tan Mootoo, Mali Researcher at Amnesty International said Under international law, children should be detained separately from adults, and Malian law also prohibits detaining them with adults. The Malian authorities should give notice to the UNICEF when arresting children suspected of
  • 9. Children s Unsatisfactory Test Scores Test scores should reflect on how highly skilled a child s teachers are in school, because tests measure how much children have learned. Teachers teach children lessons or knowledge, and if they are skilled, children can remember it, which means children should perform decently or at least average. However, provided if the teachers are unskilled, and children don t retain anything, children logically should get an unsatisfactory test score, which implies that the teachers aren t good enough for the job. In order to teach children, a teacher has to minor or major in an education degree. However, sometimes even with a degree, teachers aren t the best. They may still be skilled, but they could practice certain teaching methods that don t help children retain his or her teachings, and therefore wouldn t be able to recall the knowledge on tests, which would reflect poorly on the teacher. ... Critics of this argument may argue that it s all the children s fault, but that only happens in rare cases, and is one or two individuals out of an entire class. Overall, the teacher s class should have a mediocre to excellent average, if there s only one child who refuses to

  • 11. Free Chapel Report This week I spent a great amount of exploring the space at Free Chapel. I went on Wednesday April 6th, and was hoping to attend a service, but unfortunately they no longer have a Wednesday night service, and hold a meeting for the men s ministry instead. In general the space inside the church is very large, and it consist of two different level with a wide variety of room that are used for different groups of people. Furthermore, the large cross on the outside lets people outside know what the space is being used for, before they even enter the building. In contrast, as I began to walk around the space I realized that there besides for a bible quote on one of the walls there are very few relics which give the space away as a Christian space of worship. In my experience, the space of church is used as a place where people who have some of the same beliefs can come together to learn more about the Christian religion.... I believe that this is due to the fact that the church is catering the space to the audience that they have. Additionally, the space consist of a stage and seats similar to a normal church setting where people would to listen to the pastor/ speaker. However, in the back there are also seats and tables where people can sit to socialize with each other. This proves that the space is not only being used as a place to learn, but rather a place to socialized and be entertained. Moreover, at the front there is a large desk that one must pass on the way out, this in affect is a way to regulate and discourage people from leaving during the middle of the

There are many benefits such as boosting economic growth, improving health and elongating life expectancy. On the contrary if a fat tax is implemented into a weak economy it could cause the loss of jobs due to higher prices. These higher prices cause local consumers to begin to purchase their unhealthy products in different states or countries, causing the loss of business for local industries. Energy drink producers have changed their recipe, playing a cat and mouse game with the government and their new tax regulations. There is much opposition and debate over this, and difficult economic times have created unrest with the residents. Still, the tax with all of this negative feedback has survived, unlike the experiment performed in Denmark. Denmark implanted a fat tax on food products containing more than 2.3% saturated fat. After only being in place for one year, Denmark repealed the fat tax and got rid of an impending tax on sugar in 2012. The tax was causing the loss of jobs due to the increased cost of doing business . Consumers began buying food products in Sweden and Germany. Many younger adults who would frequently purchase bags of chips after school simply began buying different brands of potato chips that merely just changed the types of ingredients to meet the governments fat tax demands. While the tax did bring in $216 million for the government, the higher price of meat, dairy and butter proved to be too much for the Hungarian economy to handle. With the loss of consumers in Denmark, business owners were not able to sustain consistent sales to stay profitable. Americans would have even less options for buying foreign food products considering our geography, compared to that of Denmark. With mixed results it is necessary to carry out evaluations before implementing a fat tax. The state of

What Is Toru Dutt Poem Poetry is the representation of mental thoughts, it symbolize all the conflicts that dominate the poets mind either from childhood memories or impressions laid down by the society which is always in the process of gradual change. Every writer has something beforehand in mind which acts as an inspiration for his/her writing. Every poet after being inspired need to present his mental agony or bliss in a way that he be able to make his reader fathom the real and core meaning of the issues tossing in his mind. The Foreign Exchange Regulation Act The Foreign Exchange Regulation Act or FERA, passed by the Parliament in 1973, was framed to eradicate crimes relating to foreign exchange in the country , such that the economic development, which was still in its pre liberalization era and thus slow, was not adversely affected. It was also to preserve the scarce Forex or foreign exchange currency in the country and hence tried to keep a strict control on these particular resources. However, it was repealed and replaced by the Foreign Exchange Management Act(1999) to reinforce and fortify the development and the maintenance of the foreign exchange resources in the country. It was more extensive, comprehensive and since the floodgates of the economy had opened after liberalization in 1991, had more scope to actually reinvigorate the availability of foreign exchange in the country. This act, in essence, was formed to keep in check the foreign exchange resources in the country and hence all business deals involving foreign exchange need to be authorized by the Government. It is drastic in nature as it does not allow arbitrary trade in foreign exchange of any form, as this is a resource that needs to be willfully protected. Under this Act, Lalit Modi had performed a number of violations. He accepted a deposit of в‚№ 200 million from UK based Emerging Media (IPL), in contravention of FEMA, where other BCCI officials were also involved. Sure, the aftermath is awesome: watching something you ve written come to life, etc. But getting it onto the page is, personally speaking, excruciating. Question:How do you avoid exposition? Answer:You don t. You police it. I go back through and read it over and over and continually ask myself do they need to say this? And in doing so, I ve come up with some really cool scenes and interesting ways to show things that I initially had been telling. Fascination with Becoming a Screenwriter/Director I made the career choice to become a screenwriter/director because it is an easy outlet. Since I was in elementary school I was an excellent writer. I would write fairytales upon fairytales and read them to whoever was willing to listen. When all the other children wanted to go outside and play, I would be writing. The Empty Tomb Between how the empty tomb was discovered, who discovered it, who told the discoverers where Jesus had gone, there were many differences in these stories details pertaining to this. Another vast difference came in the reactions to what the storytellers told the disciples and who Jesus appeared to in regards to getting others to believe what has happened. Matthew 27, the crucifixion was one that is very familiar to many Christians; this story doesn t often stray from its basis. The one new thing I did learn was that two rebels were executed with Him and even they cursed Jesusname at the time. One of my favorite differences between Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were when the message of Jesus resurrection was told to people. Between the angel, the young man with a white robe, two men in gleaming robes, or Jesus himself, the stories all came from a different perspective but for the most part were very similar and that specifically was interesting to research. The angel said to the women, Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; He has risen, just as He said. Come and see the place where He lay.... In this encounter, Mary and Mary Magdaleneboth approached the tomb but was confronted by this angel on the closed tomb who told them the fate of Jesus. In their quest to inform the disciples of this great news they met with the presence of Jesus who told them not to be afraid and to tell his brothers to go to Galilee and

A new genre for American writers, the travel narrative, would become especially influential late in the 1700s. Travel narratives include Travels Through the Interior Parts of North America (1778) by Jonathan Carver and Travels Through North and South Carolina, Georgia, East and West Florida, the Cherokee Country, etc (1791) by William Bartram . Travel stories often blended observations on nature and landscape with tales of personal courage and achievement. The first American newspaper, the Boston News Letter, was founded in 1704, and joined by the Boston Gazette in 1719. At a time when newspaper journalism was concerned primarily with reporting political events, the New England Courant, started by James Franklin in 1721, became the first newspaper to include literary entertainment. Franklin s younger brother Benjamin Franklin published humorous social commentary in the Courant under the pen name of Silence Dogwood . Magazines also appeared for the first time in the colonies during the mid 1700s. Before 1800 magazines were concerned primarily with measuring America s developing culture against the British model. During the 1700s Boston and Philadelphia became centers of publishing in addition to being political and commercial centers.
