advertisements send out the wrong message or impel people to buy certain products.
On the other hand, advertising can be perceived as a means to sell a product or a

Mystic Monk Coffee Case Summary
Introduction Father Daniel Mary, a monk in Clarke, Wyoming, has a vision to move
and ultimately expand the Carmelite brotherhood to a 496 acre monastery (Irma Lake
Ranch). Here, he could accommodate new men into the brotherhood, and build his
business establishment. For the past year Father Mary and his brotherhood have been
purchasing Arabica coffeebeans from Seattle, to distribute under the name Mystic
Monk Coffee. The problem that arises is the capacity that the current monastery can
produce (540 lbs/day). There are also many expenses the monks face while currently
operating. If the monks could move to Irma Lake Ranch, many problems could be
resolved; unfortunately, there are financial barriers to purchasing the ranch. An

The ranch would require more work to be able to keep up with lease payments and
general maintenance costs of the land and the four addition building that Father Mary
would like to build.
Recommendation
In a business aspect, purchasing the Irma Lake Ranch would be the best option for
financial growth. Here they could grow an unlimited capacity of coffee beans and
completely eliminate inbound shipping costs and broker fees, and could also
reduce the cost of sales down from 30% of revenues. If the monks were able to put
equal dedication to the coffee industry as they do to their prayer, then Mystic Monk
Coffee should be a success.
Action Plan Before anything else, Father Mary would have to approach the current
owners of Irma Lake Ranch and provide an offer to lease to own half the property
if they were willing to donate the other half. Donating half the land would be a huge
loss for the current owners, so an agreement could be set up where the current
owners of the ranch would hold shares in the company. This is a risky project to
undertake for the ranch owners, but the payoff could be huge.Once the monks moved
to the ranch, they could start developing the land into suitable crop fields for the
coffee beans. Here they can master their technique and get the highest yield possible.
Production possibilities could be unlimited which means customers could be
A Critical Analysis Of Little Shop Of Horrors
Not everyone loves musicals as much as others, but most people can recognize
when someone says FEED ME or DON T FEED THE PLANTS . The well known
musical Little Shop of Horrors took over the Dubois Little Theater this December
under the direction of Ms. Shannon McNutt. Little Shop of Horrors is a fun, musical
about a young botanical genius, Seymour Krelborn, his boss, and future foster father,
Mr. Mushnik, and the young, dramatic and attractive Audrey. Seymour was a shy
and sheltered man until he found a strange and interesting plant, which he named
Audrey Two after his one true love, Audrey. The musical follows Seymour as he
tries to get his sentient, bloodthirsty plant to grow so he can reap the benefits, but
his morals quickly catch up with him as he begins to lose everything that matters. I
believe that this show was worthwhile to see and be part of. While watching Little
Shop of Horrorsyou can tell that it has comedic elements, but it also is somewhat
dark and disturbing to watch Seymour s guilt and grief consume him. It is clearly a
dark comedy. This is made clear through many different aspects of the writing. The
show deals with murder, death, and world domination, but the characters are
always sure to throw in a funny line or stop for a quick song. Though I enjoyed
being part of this production, I don t think it has a universal appeal by any means.
During one of the shows, a young girl was watching Seymour feed fake body parts
to the plant at the end of act
Music And Censorship Essay
In our society today, some musicians and their music drain and plague the moral
and spiritual well being of the people; therefore, censorship offers a necessary
action that we must take to keep the world from becoming a land of decadence. The
musicians lives are not examples for the children or the adults. The lyrics of many
songs are not suitable for anyone. All types of musicneed some kind of censorship.
Censorship makes a person realize that music is good for the heart. Censorship totally
makes people act better, and when thinking better, this sustains a better society. The
lives of some musicianscontain types of anarchy and self gratification. Once the
musicians realize that people want not just their music but them as well, they act...

The song quot;Rainy Day Woman #12 and #13, quot; blatantly says that
quot;everybody must get stoned. quot; That tells people to disobey the law and
tells people to mangle the temple of God, our bodies by perverting it with drugs
and stimulants. Many musicians make a mockery of their fans. The lead singers
subsist to do this the most because of the vocal opportunities they have to express
their discontent with life and thrust their ideas upon those who hypnotize with the
musician s power position, thus, makes the listeners obey their thoughts without
fully knowing. The lead singer Billie Jo, for Green Day, says to his fans, quot; I m
not going to say anything f****** intelligent, I m just going too swear a whole
d*** lot. quot; The Bible tells us that we should let everything that comes out of
our mouth praise Him, and swearing for any reason doesn t really praise Him at all
and is degrading for us as well. Almost like if he did not swear than we wouldn t like
him or understand him.
In addition the lead singer for Kiss would spit on his fans. He would get the crowd
to spit in a spittoon type container, and by the end of the concert, he would drink
the saliva and then he would use what dwelled left in the spittoon to spit on the
crowd. This creates a bad influence on anybody and makes a person believe that it
justifies him to do these actions because he dwells on stage, which totally in fact
creates wrong, and not right. The band would also wear face paint
Changes due to Urban Renewal in Pyrmont-Ultimo Essay
In 1900, Pyrmont was an important port and industrial area, with a population of
almost 30 000 people. There was a wide range of industries and services present
including wharves, dockyards, warehouses, abattoirs, wool stores, railway yards and
even an incinerator for the disposal of Sydney s waste. It was deemed a working
class suburb with a predominantly Irish/Catholic population. As the income for
Pyrmont was only modest, semi detached cottages were the most common type of
housing present.
In the 1960 s however, Pyrmont Ultimo was deteriorating at a fast rate and became an
unfortunate example of urban decay. The government policy of decentralisation,
which is having industries move away from the centre of the city, was having an ...

The major objectives were to improve the economic efficiency, social equity and
environmental sustainability of Australia s cities and Pyrmont Ultimo was a targeted
suburb for urban renewal. There were several areas that the program aimed to
improve including housing, transport, public parks or open spaces and protection of
the environment.
Housing:
Prior to urban renewal, Pyrmont Ultimo had residents with similar incomes.
However to achieve the goal of social equity plans were made for a mixed, high
density, medium rise residential area. Approximately 7500 new dwellings have been
constructed plus the renovation of 1400 existing dwellings. The aim was to cater for
all household types such as families, couples and singles, provide affordable housing
for middle to low income earners, provide residential dwellings with waterfront
access and with water and city views, protect existing housing, retain a socially
diverse residential population which includes all income groups, provide
opportunities to live close to places of work and to create a high quality urban
environment. The provision of affordable or public housing was an important
aspect to consider in the process. Without some sort of intervention to provide this
affordable housing, the attractiveness of living close to Sydney s CBD would only be
reserved for high income earners as dwellings would be too expensive and rent would
be too high. From a social equity point of view it was therefore vital to provide

Modern World Leaders Angela Merkel
The person chosen for this leadership report is Angela Merkel. I read Modern World
Leaders Angela Merkel written by Clifford W. Mills. Being born in Berlin, with my
pride in being German, as well as being a female with my own leadership ambitions,
I felt Angela Merkel was a perfect fit for me. Gaining knowledge on the leadership
style from one of the most powerful and influential women in the world, while also
learning the values and beliefs my country is grounded on, I find Angela Merkel to
be extremely interesting leader to study. Angela Merkel (born Angela Dorothea

In Germany teachers quiet strict and at one point she had a teacher that would
punish the entire class if a presentation differed even slightly from what the teacher
told them to do. Deep down inside Merkel knew that the students put in extreme
effort into the presentations and that this matter was so serious that the students
could all be expelled from school. After explaining the situation to her parents,
Merkel wrote a petition which she also presented to some GDR officials. Merkels
class was saved; the teacher was later disciplined. I characterize her leadership style
as one that is based on ethics and morals while also being very direct. She is both
task oriented as well as relationship oriented. Merkel focuses on the business task at
hand while putting great emphasis relationships and networking... I don t think it
make sense to go round and round in circles arguing about this crisis. We have to
manage it instead. But that s something we can only do together with our neighbors,
our partners, the big ones and the small ones. I think Germany is destined, partly as a
result of its geographic position, to be a mediator and balancing factor.
From this statement I feel as though Merkel is very direct and to the point there is no
point in arguing, let s do something about it. At the same time Merkel puts emphasis
on leader member relations. Previous chancellor Schroeder was known for his

Use Of Taxation And Its Effects On Income
Another policy that Thatcher implemented was the use of taxation, she preferred to
use indirect taxes rather than taxes on income and she also used VAT. Thatcher s
ultimate goal by doing this policy was to increase GDP, increase employment and
keep inflation at bay. The use of taxation had some good effects and some bad
effects. In many ways the taxpolicy introduced led to a use of policy mix and also
promised far too much which is why it all went wrong.
The policy included decreasing income tax and corporation tax but increasing
indirect tax and VAT. She reduced the income tax rate for the wealthy from 83
percent to 60 percent and the common rate was cut from 33 percent to 30 percent

2013), so in fact prices were higher than before, this increase in VAT is said to hit
the poor harder. This was said to be done to pay the loan that the Britain had from the
International Monetary Fund and to also create budget balance. Inflation, went from
above 15 percent in 1980 to
3 percent in 1986 as shown in figure 3. As you can see along with the decrease in
the interest rate, GDP was slowly rising in the economy as people were spending
more of their income as their GDP per capita was increasing shown in figure 4 and
people saw their income and wages become larger. This led to Britain s goods
/services and economy becoming more competitive and showing signs of recovery.
The tax policy was proving to be quite a success as it gave the economy much
needed revenue, throughout the 1980s revenue from the 90% tax on North Sea oil
extraction was used as a short term funding source to balance the economy and pay
the costs of reform (Wikipedia, 2015), this was helping the deficit and also allowing
for governments to spend some money on welfare benefits for the unemployed. This
revenue was never seen to have been acclaimed.
The fiscal and monetary squeeze, combined with increased revenues from the North
Sea oil led to an appreciation in the exchange rate (Hoskins, M. 2015), for

After Millard Drexler was appointed CEO in 2003, J. Crew transformed its
branding from focusing on its previous contemporary denim label, to an emphasis
on higher quality staple pieces that can easily be transitioned from day to night.
This rebranding proved to be successful for the company and soon the J. Crew was
being worn by everybody from celebrities to fashion conscious women looking for a
higher quality item. During the inauguration, all of the Obamas were dressed head

Leno in an entire J. Crew outfit. J. Crew had really found its market through its brand
restructuring. Since 2013, J. Crew has transformed its branding from a print only
catalogue to more intricate social media and digital marketing tactics to increase it
brands strength. Under its 2013 annual SEC filing, the company s marketing and
advertising strategy focused more on print catalogue, but the following year, J. Crew
s strategy focused on communicating its brand message to customers through
websites, catalogues, email marketing, online advertising, and social media. Due to
its increase in social media presence, the company has seen a large growth

Step one in Vickers book is to understand the problem I am going to follow this
point via its sub steps (Vickers takes each main step of the process and sets it into
smaller more manageable steps) to provide an outline in solving the issue provided.
Understanding the Problem
Before a plan is even in its preliminary stage, we must actually understand the
problem. This is arguably the most important stage of solving an issue as failure to
do so could result in the wrong issue being solved, as exampled in the read it
through several times substage. Therefore these steps are meticulously followed to
give the most personally accurate understanding of the problem at hand as possible.
To reiterate before the process is followed, this method was published by Paul Vickers
1.Read it through several times
Failure to read the problem or task through more than once is a sure way to fail
understanding the problem and falling at the first hurdle as it was. When I first read
the problem, thoughts of possibilities of solving the problem began to go through
my mind. GPS tracking, communication between bicycles, mobile apps with
pointers on a satellite map. Detailing these solutions following the rest of the steps
Vickers has laid out would have been a great way to show a solution, but would

Social, Political And Economic Equality Of The Sexes
Feminist: the person who believes in the social, political and economic equality of
the sexes. , those are the words used to define a feminist by Chimamanda Ngozi
Adichie. The quote was later sampled by popular music artist Beyonce in her song,
Flawless , from her self titled album. This quote and a performance of the song
later caused an unforeseen backlash by some feminist. Pandemonium ensued as a
result of Beyonce s actions. Feminist debated about who can and cannot call
themselves a feminist. Feminist argued Beyonce, her music, and dancing
supported a misogynistic culture. They falter by proclaiming one brand of
feminism is better than the other. The overall message you can t be too risquГ©,
or you cannot be feminist. Recently, there has been a tsunami of scrutiny thrown at
Columbia recording artist, Beyonce, who performed at the nationally televised
Video Music Awards, commonly referred to as the VMAs. While performing,
Beyonce stood on stage with her fist clinched and the word Feminist behind her.
She was quickly praised, but at the same time scolded. Beyonce was scolded for
having sexually suggestive lyrics, provocative dancing, and her lifestyle. Lyrics
like Bow down bitches! , that were seen as derogatory to women. She was seen as
sexually provocative while dancing on poles, and twerking on stage. Beyonce was
also scolded for being rich, and selling a consumerist lifestyle other could not afford. I
beg to argue each of these statements. Although not a huge

cages, where they were under standard conditions such as, 12 hour light and dark time
schedules, room temperature environment, and given tap water every other day.
2.After every rat s individual body weight was measured, the animals were randomly
distributed to five independent experimental groups; each consisting of intervals of
16 hour, 24 hour, 48 hour of food deprivation, 4 days of fixed time feeding, or ad

a.The rats were transferred into single housing cages to establish a habituation setting.
b.Sixteen hours before the behavior experiment started, the rats in the fixed time
feeding group received food for 4 hours between 8:00 12 AM for four consecutive
days.
c.The food deprived group s period was staggered to ensure that each individual

The Coptic Orthodox Christian Community

One has to consult the sayings of the Fathers of the Church, as well as other ancient
writers. This helps us understand the historical changes which have occurred over
the years. Reading the Fathers can give meaning to many of the rubrics, many of
which are not carried out properly because of lack of understanding of their meaning .

John Kennedy Toole s A Confederacy Of Dunces
John Kennedy Toole s novel A Confederacy of Dunces, set in New Orleans in the
1960s, features a unique main character named Ignatius J. Reilly. Ignatius, whose
father passed away when he was still young, struggles to find and maintain
employment to support both himself and his mother, Mrs. Reilly. He spends his
days attending movies and searching for work, which he finds at Levy Pants and
again at Paradise Vendors. During Ignatius s journey, he exhibits many negative
qualities and refuses to change them. Two of these qualities particularly stand out
with respect to his character: gluttony and feebleness. Ignatius s primary vice is
gluttony. All of Toole s characters serve as satirical interpretations of different
stereotypes affiliated with certain types of people. Ignatius, an obese white man, is
portrayed as a slob who depends on his mother, acts entitled, and eats everything in
sight. For example, when Mrs. Reilly goes out and buys him twelve doughnuts, all
he leaves are ...two withered pieces of doughnut out of which ... the jelly had been
sucked (Toole 39). This... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The main character Ignatius J. Reilly is the personification of several prejudices
about overweight white men. Two of these are gluttony and feebleness, which
Ignatius recognizes but refuses to change throughout the course of his adventures.
Ignatius would become a more relatable human and more attractive to the other
characters if he considered his thoughts and actions more carefully. If he were to
think about how claiming that someone injured him might make that person feel, he
could use compassion to decide not to make such a comment. Additionally, if he
were to consider the choices he makes with respect to his health, he would be
inclined to abstain from gluttony. While Ignatius may not serve as a role model, one
can certainly learn from his
Summary Of Saturn Devouring His Son
The devastatingly gruesome painting of Saturn Devouring His Son by Francisco de
Goya surprisingly has more connection to the nursing world than what first meets
the eye. Created between 1819 through 1823, the painting s legend stems from
Greek mythology (Goya, 1970). Saturn, also known as Cronus, was the almighty
Greek titan who had come to power by taking over his father before him. Saturn
feared his children would one day try to overcome him so he devoured them all. The
legend goes on to tell how one of his sons Zeus survived to one day free his other
siblings. This disturbing legend and painting connects to nurses bullyingeach other.
This dark aspect of nursing needs to be brought to the light and only then can change
be made. Jay Scott Morgan s interpretation of the painting focuses in on the
relationship of Saturn and his son. The painting Saturn Devouring His Sonwas once
seen as a symbol of evil, a Satan, a monster (Morgan). Morgan chose to focus on
the relationships of the son and the father rather than the evil image of Saturn. He
made the connection to Goya s twisted relationship with his son and Goya s
painting; revealing jealousy is what causes a father to hate his son. Morgan
interprets the painting as a story of fathers and sons (Morgan, n.d). He even makes
connections to other western tales such as Abraham agreeing to his son to be
sacrificed on Mount Moriah to depict the father son struggle. In both stories the father
ends his son s life, whether
Epidemiology In Stuttering
Stuttering affects an individual s ability to produce fluent speech and often includes
repetitions and prolongations of sounds. This causes disfluency in an individual s
speech. Stuttered speech is prevalent in less than 1 percent of people in the United
States, (Bloostein Ratner, 2008). Currently, there is no known cause of stuttering, but
many argue that epidemiologic factors play a crucial role in the origins of stuttering.
Factors such as incidence, genetics, the sex of a person, and other influences may
impact a change in a health condition. Therefore, it is important to understand current
evidence behind epidemiology in stuttering, as well as its prevalence and incidence
in the field. Epidemiologic data is currently a topic for discussion... Show more

Prevalence refers to how common stuttering occurs whereas incidence refers to the
how often stuttering occurs. When looking into these factors, age variables can be
considered. It has been found in certain studies that children often outgrow stuttering,
similar to articulation disorders, (Bloostein Ratner, 2008). The article brings into
question why numerical figures do not drop, the hypothesis behind this being that
instances of stuttering develop during childhood as well, (Bloostein Ratner, 2008).
Additionally, in the same article, Bloostein and Ratner (2008), mention that while,
stuttering may develop at any age during childhood, the younger the child the more
likely is the occurrence of an identifiable episode of stuttering and some children
apparently stutter with their first attempts to say sentences, (Bloostein Ratner, 2008).
After reading this article it is thought provoking to see the inconsistencies between
prevalence and incidence due to the various epidemiologic factors and there affect on
stuttering. It makes me wonder what other factors can be looked at in order to
standardize the research of stuttering. Another issue relating to prevalence and
incidence involves the idea of spontaneous recovery. In the article written by,
Bloostein and Ratner (2008), it was found that many individuals will stop stuttering
by the time they become adults. Also, it was

Apartheid policies entrenched race as the basis for access to power and resources.
Conflicts resulted from increasingly polarized groups Blacks in majority and Whites

discriminatory and exploitive social policies both using passive resistance and armed

Mahatma Gandhi, Martin Luther King, and Nelson Mandela work for the human

Toyota s Total Quality Management Process
During the identification stage for process improvement in the previous assessment,
we were able to identify that Toyota s failure to adhere to its own principles The
Toyota Way in regards to the Toyota Production System (TPS), more directly
principle 5, to build a culture for stopping production in order to fix identified
problems and getting qualityright the first time. Furthermore, leading to Toyota s
biggest crisis sudden unintended acceleration in their top selling models causing a
number of losses across the board. It is clear that Toyota must follow the TPS,
precisely the Total Quality Managementprocess (TQM), in order to properly address
and resolve any issues associated with the safety and quality of its products. It is
imperative to have the complete buy in and support of Upper Management to
encourage accountability and ensure the sustainability of this process. Thereby,
enabling Toyota to re build its brand, re gain consumer trust and confidence in their
products and reposition themselves as the leading automotive manufacturer
internationally. During this assessment we will create a current state and new process
map for the recommended process improvement; create a cause and effect diagram;
and identify one main cause as a result of the examination of the cause and effect
diagram and current state process map.
Cause and Effect Diagram Cause and effect diagrams or the more commonly used
term Fishbone diagrams, are used as a help aid to visually display
Rise Of Stardom
Stardom can be read from another angle in the 1950s. Even while actors received
much fame they were still under the control of producer and studio, who assigned
actors to pictures in their range and within the range of the audience expectations
(Schickel 91). This system prevailed even after the Supreme Court ruling of 1948.
Actors gained so much from Hollywood but became victims of the same few died
young and others had troubled private lives. Studios continued to own their actors
despite the shift in filmproduction. For instance Marilyn Monroesigned a seven year
contract with Fox in 1950 and those who tried to build a career outside the studio
system were vulnerable like the black actress Dorothy Dandridge. She found it
difficult to survive in a white dominated industry though she achieved mainstream
success through musicals such as Carmen Jones (1954)... Show more content on

She relied on her singing talents to getby. Ava Gardner and Natalie Wood used
their industry relationships to make advancements in their career (Halliwell 171).
Studio lost its power and grip over the star system in the early to mid 50s and it
continued well into the next decade. Stars became independent and as free lance
agents thy moved from studio to studio for individual pictures and it ushered in an
era of the new superstar. James Stewart became a pioneer who decided to freelance
and demanded half of the profit of his movies. Other star treaded his path and
demanded payment for an individual film basis and this resulted in huge star
salaries and the formation of their own production companies. Directors feared that
the soaring salaries would ruin the film business and by 1959 the production of
films in the US dropped about 250 films a year. The theatrical going audience also
dropped. More Asian and European films flooded the theatre such as Rashomon
(1950), The Seven Samurai (1954), Pather Panchali (1955) and The 400 Blows
(1959). These films were exhibited in art houses and
The Event I Went At The University Of Minnesota
The event I went to go see was a Guest Master Class instructed by Barthold Kujiken.
This event was held on Sunday afternoon in Ferguson Hall at the University of
Minnesota. It was held in a small auditorium similar to a class setting. Barthold was
accompanied by a student flutist and pianist. A lot of time was spent with the flutist
and pianist playing a part of a piece, and him teaching and demonstrating on how to
improve a piece and explaining the fundamentals of the music. It was a very
informative event/class.
Barthold Kujiken was born March 8, 1949. He s a Belgian flutist and recorder
player. He attended Bruges Conservatory and the Royal Conservatories of Brussels
and The Hague, where he studied the modern flute. He is best known for playing
baroque music on authentic instruments such as the flute. He played in baroque
orchestras for many years, and then went off to playing chamber music concerts all
over the world, where he extended to playing 19th century music. The majority of
the event he talked about Sonata s. As we discussed in class, a sonata is a solo
instrument accompanied by a keyboard. In this case the solo instrument was the
flute and it was accompanied by a piano. The flutist played a major sonata. As she
played apiece he would stop her and tell her a few things to change to improve the
piece, and she would play that piece once again with the revisions. One of the other
things he told her was to play the sonata without any ornaments just the skeleton.
Gun Safety
The picture above displays one of the most important pieces of the gun: the safety.
The safety is a small lever or button that when on prevents the gun from firing. This
feature helps to keep the gun from firing in unwanted directions that could potentially
harm someone. When transporting a rifle, always make sure that the safety is on, and
when shooting turn the safety off. Another important thing to pay attention to is your
shooting range s rules. Every range requires eye and ear protection because debris
could hurt your eyes and the sound of a gunshooting is loud enough to harm your
ears. Most gun ranges prohibit running and have rules about keeping the ground clear
of bullet shells. There are other more specific rules, such as maximum

This report is produced in order to provide clients a basic compare between the two
accounting computer system, Excel and MYOB. By doing this, the customer could
choose the best accounting software depend on the business size and its features.
_The major difference between Excel and MYOB in accounting is that, Excel is a
manual system; mean the users must input all the transactions data manually in the
Excel spread sheet. If the firms have some credit transaction, double entry may be
required. Then at the end of an accounting period, the Excel users (owners) may
provide the spread sheet to accountants or someone who have accounting background
to prepare BAS for the ATO or other financial reports for stakeholders.
Unlikely, MYOB or Mind Your Own Business is a specialist accounting software that
designed for small business and is probably the best known accounting software in
Australia and New Zealand. With MYOB the users only need to input the transaction
information and the system will automatically prepare the BAS, financial report and
also bank reconciliation. Moreover, MYOB is a more complex accounting computer
system compare to Excel, since it provides different functions that help the owner to
manage their business; such as payroll, inventory,
1839-Lord Durham s Conflict In Lower Canada
In Lower Canada, the conflict had been divided along linguistic and cultural lines.
Within Durham s report, The Act of Union, and1841 Election. The English and
French battled out the ultimate power control over the new nation, where the lower
Canada and the upper Canada became as one. In Durham s report back in 1839, he
came up with two recommendation: union of Upper Canadaand Lower Canada, and a
responsible government. I expected to find a conflict between the government an the
peoples: instead I found two warring nations within a single state; I found a struggle,
not of principles...which now divides the inhabitants of lower Canada into hostile
groups: French and English. Quote from Lore Durham (1839 Lord Durham s

Analysis Of Mutability By Percy Bysshe Shelley Essay
Portfolio Part B Mutability (Greenblatt 752 753) is a poem written by the
Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1816. The Oxford English Dictionary
defines the word Mutability as: Liability or tendency to change. (OED Online)
Mutability was most probably written in order to portray Shelley s own views that
humans do not have control over changes which occur in their own lives.
However, it asserts Shelley s belief that, Nought may endure but Mutability.
Shelley demonstrates this idea by using various literary devices, diction, and a
sombre tone which is reflected through his choice of writing in the lyric form.
Mutability was written at a time when Shelley experienced significant life
changing events; January 1816 saw the birth of his first child to Mary Shelley, in
the same year Shelley experienced financial struggles, and the suicide of his first
wife Harriet in December 1816. (O Neill, M.) In addition to the changes he endured
in his personal life, Shelley was very much aware of the changes happening during
1816 which was named, The year without a summer due to extreme changes in
weather. During his trip to Switzerland, Shelley and a group of other Romantic poets
began to create works to reflect this time of great change. (Gardiner, Lisa) This is
significant as being exposed to so much change during 1816 more than likely inspired
Shelley to write Mutability to demonstrate the human ability to accept and embrace
change, as it cannot be prevented.
Key Aspects Of Dog Grooming
Everyone cares about their dogs, and some people care so much that they treat their
dogs like family. Taking care of their dog and making sure he/she is giving the proper
care is the most important thing to a veterinary/vet. tech./assistant. Throughout this
text one will begin to learn and note the key aspects of doggrooming, along with
that, they will be able to apply them to their skills. So why not take this knowledge
and make someone s dog s vet trip more of a relaxing spa day.
Before one can begin any type of grooming, applying for and getting the job at a

At most vets or animal clinics there are small and large dogs, because of the size
differences the small and large dogs the grooming techniques differ. But lets hold
on for a second. Before we even begin to groom the dogs one should get to know
the dog better. Getting to know the dog (even if it s for only a few minutes) can
help the grooming process go ten times smoother, because it allows not only you to
get use to the dog but the dog gets use to you. Now that you two are familiar with
one another the real grooming process can begin. When you are going to wash the
dog know that there are some key points to remember. Though the dog has
familiarized themselves with you, they still may not want a bath. At all cost do
not force the dog to be bathed, in the end you are only going to stress out the dog
and a stress dog creates an even more frustrated groomer. The point was clearly
stated in the quote The reality is that few dogs were born loving baths, or even
water. Resistance toward getting a bath can stem from inexperience or a previous
bathing debacle. Regardless of the reason, a calm demeanor and gentle persistence
are essential to keeping your pooch calm in the bathtub. SSS It gives a clear view
and why the dog may feel this way and how to correct it for a successful grooming.
Once you have gotten the dog to relax and stay calm you are ready to start. This
first step is optional and mostly used for dogs who have long fur, before applying
any water grab a brush and brush through the fur, this technique helps to lessen the
amount of tangles the dog could have had or will have by the end of the bath. Now
you can go ahead to apply water all over the dog s body to get the fur nice and
soaked. After the dog has been soaked next is the shampoo, most vets use shampoos
that help kill fleas, ticks, and other vermin. Bring the shampoo to a lather and get it
all over the dog,
The Progressive Movement Of The United States
The progressive movement was one of the greatest times in America s history, not
only was the progressive movement noble but also needed especially after the
lasting effects of the Civil War. Although there were many problems still plaguing
the United States the progressive movement provided some Americans with a sense
of hope because of changes in politics. First of all, progressive Presidents like Teddy
Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilsonwould not necessarily fight for their own political
parties, but would fight for the people, reduce the power of big businesses that
exploited their employees and helped small businesses by introducing antitrust
legislation. Women s rights also became a huge issue during the progressive
movement which would be solved by granting women more rights and even giving
Americans the right to directly select senators. Basically the progressive movement
was beneficial to America because it gave more Americans more opportunities, like
being able to vote, being able to make decent wages and small businessto be able to
compete.
There is hardly an office in any part of the country in which the business man has not
been elected; yet politics remain corrupt (Lincoln Steffens, 141). This is what
journalist Lincoln Steffens had portrayed about politics in the United States, that
businessmen ran the country and only cared about money and not the people.
Although America has successful business practices, its ability for almost anyone to

1980s Technology Research Paper
In this ESSAY I will be discussing all of the type s technology that was popular in
certain eras, and what influenced in its popularity. Technology is the application of
scientific knowledge for practical purposes, especially in industry, machinery and
devices developed from scientific knowledge. The eras that I will cover are the
1980s, the 1990s and the 2000s. I have chosen these eras because I would like to
learn about some of the technologies while I m researching for technologyin these
eras, and to get a better understanding of how some of them influenced in the grate
technologies we have today.
In the amazing era of the 1980s some of the most popular technologies were the

Monster At A Window Meaning
Have you ever been so mad, so angry that words can t describe how rageful you
are? You re so blinded by anger, that you do or say something that you would ve
never do when you re calm, you re not in monster form. Some say that being a
monster is just like being uncivil, that depends on you. Even the most civilized, well
mannered, polished, enlightened people will still have their moments of monster
mode. Well the definition of civilized is to bring (a place or people) to a stage of
social, cultural, and moral development considered to be more advanced, meaning
that whatever you think is socially, morally, or culturally advance is civil. The
definition of uncivilized is (of a place or people) not considered to be socially,

so blinded by rage that he literally turns into a monster, we are non fictional people,
we don t actually turn into big, green, things, we just say and do things that we

How Does Robert Hayden Use Imagery In Those Winter
Sundays
Robert Hayden s poem, Those Winter Sundays , focuses in upon the narrator who
is looking back upon their younger years and their relationship with their father.
The poem then further elaborates on this concept, keeping it as the focal point of
the poem, through use of imagery. Robert Hayden uses imagery a great deal to
describe, in depth, not only the setting, but the very nature of the father and the
narrator s relationship. Parallels can be drawn between the use of imagery, the bitter
and frigid winter days, and the narrator s cold relationship with his father. Thus, by
exploring the use of imagery in the poem the father and narrator s relationship
becomes clearer. Warmth and coldness are two main pieces of imagery that are

The Glass Castle
The Glass Castle
As I first started reading The Glass Castle by Jane Walls the novel immediately caught
my attention. There were many things that I found to interesting throughout the
novel. Through my reading I also found certain characters or events to be annoying.
The first thing I found to be interesting is staring the novel with her mother. Wall s
mother is rummaging through the dumpster and she goes out of her way to avoid
her mother. I was overcome with panic that she s see me and call out my name, and
that someone on the way to the party would spot us together and mom would
introduce herself and my secret would be out (12). It seems she is embarrassed that
her mother is homeless and ashamed because it is a secret. I find it very interesting ...

At a young age of three she was boiling water and making hot dogs. What you can

I know. I said, But if I m not, that s okay too (17). I found this of her to say that even
if she weren t okay she would be okay to be very mature of her at a young age.
I believe her parents are very interesting as well and at times can be irresponsible.
For example when her brother Brian fell off of the back of the couch and they did
not take him to the hospital. There was blood everywhere, Mom said but one kid in
the hospital at a time is enough. Besides dad said, Brian s head is hard, I think the
floor took more damage than he did (20). This is just one example of them being
irresponsible. I think they should have taken him to the hospital no matter what they
thought he could handle.
Overall I think the events in the novel are very interesting. I believe it is an
interesting novel because of her family and their actions. Through my reading I have

Russel Wangersky s An Accident Of Birth
Russel Wangersky s An Accident Of Birth (The Telegram, Jan. 10, 2009), provides
a insight on how lucky people are to live in Canada. He uses an example of a
stereotypical Toronto taxi driver, a foreigner who moved to Canada for a means to
find a better life. However, this taxi driver is revealed to have a master s degree in
business administration, who has more education than the majority of the people he
drives. Although he doesn t work in marketing, he is perfectly okay with working
as a taxi driver this because he wants to live in a peaceful place, that is full of
opportunities and to give his daughter the best life possible. Ultimately, Wangersky s
article is successful because it illustrates how pure luck can overcome any hard work,

Although the taxi driver s life is not what he imagined it to be, he s still proud to be
a Canadian citizen and proud that his daughter gets to grow up in Canada. Some
people need to make big sacrifices in their life just to get what others get from
luck. Wangersky then directly states We re lucky to live here, and, it seems, many
of us are luckier still to actually have grown up in this country and to work here and
get credit for training and education. He can t be anymore right because Canadian
citizens are some of the luckiest people in the world because we are born into a
peaceful, developed and free country without having to work hard. Other people in
the world are born into terrible living conditions, but were not chosen that life, they
were given it. Children born in Syria for example, are born into war and this is the
only life they will know. These people could work extremely hard to try and escape
the country, but they could fail and never make it out. This brings Wangersky to his
next point that people should be grateful for the blessing of being born in Canada.
Few people understand how better off they are than others, so they take their
citizenship for granted. He ends with the quote It would do you well to keep that in
mind. telling people to recognize and appreciate their citizenship because it is not
something that they had to work for, it is simply given to them at
The Lewis Blackman Case Case Study
The Lewis Blackman case is an unfortunate case of failure to be ready to deal with
unexpected problems, failure to recognize the problem, and failure to respond to
the crisis at hand. Clinical warning signs and symptoms were clearly present and
even recognized by the healthcare team however, they failed to recognize the
significance of the data and correlate it to impending crisis which lead to failure to
rescue. There was a presence of understanding the data but a lack of cognitive ability
to translate the data into meaningful information to guide decision making efforts.
The focus of the team was obviously focused on the fact that the expected and
anticipated plan of care for Lewis Blackman only accounted for a favorable outcome

Blackman s complaints, signs, and symptoms were downplayed and eventually he
was transferred out of the PACU with no further plan of care, assessment of the
issues, or action to alleviate his complaints. 3 days postoperative, with continued
scheduled Ketorolac administration, Lewis pain was unfathomable. Despite repeated
attempts to gain the attention of the healthcare team to Blackman s impending
crisis, his pain was once again downplayed. The nurses again failed to recognize
the significance of his increasing abdominal pain and deterioration, chalking it up to
gas pain, suggesting only movement and a bath as the acceptable plan of care.
Lewis symptoms continued to progress and he deteriorated to a state of clinical
shock evidenced by abnormally low temperature and increased heart rate and
respiratory rate accompanied by extreme paleness, enlarged abdomen, with absent
bowel sounds. Inexperience, lack of recognition, and failure to rescue eventually led
to the unexpected death of Lewis Blackman (Acquaviva, et al., 2013).
Was the healthcare team ready to care for Lewis Blackman? In this case, it appears
that the healthcare team was anchored in the fact that Lewis was a healthy, young
man. Because of this they were unable to think outside of the expected outcome.
While it is clear that signs and symptoms leading up to Lewis critical condition and
unnecessary death were recognized the healthcare team appears to have been unable

A Positive Relation Between Organizations, Human...
Additionally, trust in organizations is a positive relation with behavior at the
workplace and is connected with unions, human resources, and government
interventions. Most government marketplace interventions have used the alternative
treatment principle of triage to split those in pain into three groups : those who
cannot be helped with the assets offered ,those who will recuperate (or at least
continue ) without any help, and those who will improve only with instant
assistance(Sastre,2010, chap.16).In some anxiety, managers have progressively
advanced in training, structural behavior, and job improvement to help workers. In
order that a company is productive a union, human resources, and government
interventions must allow workers to change their habits, skills, values, beliefs, and
attitudes in a workforce. This process will more likely take some hard work and
years to process. They need to accept dissatisfactions and unpredicted consequences of
solutions to difficult problems, and the continuing power to work determinedly at
improving the quality of help the workers receive.
The federal government has intervened in the past and is still adjusting market
outcomes. They are keeping up with the needs of workers. The Home Ower Loan
Corporation, Continental Illinois in 1994, The Savings and Loan Crisis of the 1980s,
and Brady bonds in 1989 are some government interventions which modify market
outcomes.
One of the lessons from these four instances of government intervention is
On The Origin Of Species Analysis
There are many sensitive topics that humans chose not to discuss with each other.
One topic in particular is if there truly is a God. Many people talk there way out of
this conversation for one main reason, insecurity. People become insecure about
the topic of God because they are scared to face the world as if there isn t one. To put
this into perspective, you get people such as Dorothy Day, who expresses her
beliefs in her passage, Poverty in the Face of Christ, that the world is meant to be
equal and live for, and around God. Then you get people like Charles Darwin, who
writes about his belief in his passage, On the Origin of Species, that life is revolved
around science rather than a God. While both sides can easily plead their case,...

Day believes that we can exist in relation to the Triune God due to the belief that
God is real, and the fact that she grew up in a time where peace was a common
theme. However, in modern day this simply doesn t work. The reason it doesn t
work is due to equality not being achievable, and the fact God may not even exist.
Living in a world full of capitalism and competition, people aren t willing to accept
being equal. And as Hume s proved, people learn through experience, not by innate
ideas, thus contradicting the belief there is a God. This all leads to Darwin, that
we live in a world full of science. The universe was made by the Big Bang, we all
compete against each other through natural selection, and we fight to exist. Sorry

Assess The Difference Between Developmental Psychology...
Psychology is the study of the behavior and mental processes of all living organisms.
In psychology, different perspectives are made in order for us to have a better
understanding of the different changes and behavior humans will undertake
throughout their life. These theories help contribute to the study of human growth
and development and provide us with a better understanding. They can be sorted into
continuous or discontinuous, one course or many courses of development, and nature
or nurture. In developmental psychologycontinuity and discontinuity are two theories
that compete to try and explain how individuals change throughout their lives. The
continuity theory says that someone changes for the duration of their life along a
smooth course whereas the discontinuity theory instead claims that people change
abruptly. A development theory is one course when it is believed that there is one
universal common path for all people across all places and cultures. On the other
hand, a development theory with many courses is stated to have specific stages for
specific individuals across specific contexts. Lastly, the nature theory argues that we
are born the way we are and genetics determine who we are and who we will become.
The nurture theory argues that outside influences such as society determines... Show

The Life of Juan Ponce de Leon
Have you ever heard of Juan Ponce de Leon? Rumor has it he was searching for the
mythical fountain of youth , but historians suggest otherwise. There are no surviving

It is thought that Gonzalo FernГЎndez de Oviedo y Valdez disliked Juan, and
attempting to make him look foolish, spread the rumor saying that Juan Ponce de
Leon was looking for the fountain of youth. Both Juan Ponce de Leon s birthplace
and birthdate are not known for sure. Based on their research, historians believe
Ponce de Leon was born in either 1460 or 1474. He is thought to be born in Tierra
de Campos. Tierra de Campos is a village in northwestern Spain. He was likely born
into a noble family. Noble families sons were sent to work for famous nobleman.
Working for a nobleman would help further his education to become a knight.
First, Ponce de Leon became a page to Pedro Nunez de Guzman. As a page, Juan
served meals and went to several events with Guzman and his wife. As a teenager,
Juan s position required more work. Juan became a squire. As a squire, Ponce de
Leon cared for Guzman s armor, and assisted him in battle against the muslims.
Ponce de Leon s career as an explorer began in 1493, on Columbus s second voyage.
He was a conquistador, a leader of the Spanish conquest. He was probably looking
to become wealthy from all of the gold in the Americas. Ponce de Leon may have
been curious. It is a mystery
The Characteristics Of Athena
Athena Athena is known as the Goddess of wisdom, courage, inspiration, civilization,
law and justice, strategic warfare, mathematics, strength, strategy, the arts, crafts, and
skill. Although she is known more specifically for her skill in warfare. She is usually
portrayed as the companion of heroes and as the patron Goddess of heroic endeavour.
Her birth was anything but normal, when Zeus got an enormous headache, Athena
sprang out from his forehead, fully grown with armour. She has no confirmed
mother, but lots of common stories say that Zeus laid with Metis, the goddess of
craft and wisdom. Due to a prophecy that said his child would be more powerful than
him, he swallowed Metis, thinking she wouldn t give birth to any baby.
Unfortunately for him, she had already conceived a baby. Athena was tall and thin,
with bluish green eyes. She wore a suit of armour and a golden helmet. Athena has
many characteristics, but the most prevalent and well known is her wiseness,
kindness and creativeness. She created the plow and the rake, she made the first
bridle and taught men how to tame horses with it. She also invented the flute, the
chariot, the trumpet, and taught men how to count and use numbers. She was a great
weaver, weaving many clothes with beautiful patterns with beautifully colored cloth.
Athena was known to be very kind and generous, especially to those who were
honest and brave. She was known to protect civilized life, valuing the lives of mortals.

African Helmet Masks Essay
Masks are one of the most spiritually important art forms developed in Africa.
Among the masks many uses were; communicating with spirits and ancestors,
serving as teaching aids in gender specific initiation ceremonies, tools for
maintaining order, enhancements for reenacted stories and myths, symbols of rank
and power, and a record for past leaders. I will be focussing on masks from the first
three categories. The masks, which are all Helmet style masks from West and Central
Africa, illustrate how artists from different tribes approached symbolism and visual
storytelling. They also show what was considered ideally beautiful for each clan. The
first mask is from the Kuba (Bushongo) tribe in the Democratic Republic of Congo;...

Interpretation of the symbolism behind the mask varies, however the rings are
thought to invoke both the ridges of a black moth chrysalis, representing a girl s
transformation into a woman, and the ripples of water created as a leader rose from
the water, the home of female spirits. The masks elaborately braided hair and
scarification also refer to the appearance of this leader and what was considered
ideally beautiful. The expression on the face is to convey the wisdom, grace, and
self control that the young women would hopefully inherit. The third mask also
deals with a secret society. This carved wood Helmet Mask (inventory # 5 13259)
is thought to be from the Bamileke society of Cameroon and is dated to about
1976. Used in a men s secret society known as the Kwifo ( night ), masks in this
style disguised the members identities as they acted as a police force for the king.
The Kwifo mediated conflicts, pronounced legal sentences, and carried out the
resulting punishments. Different masks represented the various powers of the group
and the carved headdress of this mask mirrors the prestige caps worn by elites and
kings. The intertwined legs represent the earth spider, which, because it lived
underground was thought to unite the world of the ancestors and spirits, who live in
the earth, with that of humans. Revered for its supernatural wisdom and power it is
often consulted
Louis Xiv s Absolutism
When it come to which leader was the most absolute I would say that Louis XiV of
France. While his earlier policies were a bit heavy handed and were unpopular
enough to cause rebellion he quickly learned from his mistakes. He then took a
much subtler approach to absolute rule and by the end of his rule France had
expanded greatly and the crown had a stranglehold on both domestic and foreign
policies. The first of his many great decisions was that he appointed no Chief
minister that way no noble could simply challenge a single man, they had to
challenge the entire crown. He had also made many of the people who would form
his councils those who had just begin to rise in the social structure. This tactical move
ensured their loyalty and competence

Mystic Monk Coffee Case Summary Introduction Father Daniel Mary, a monk in Clarke, Wyoming, has a vision to move and ultimately expand the Carmelite brotherhood to a 496 acre monastery (Irma Lake Ranch). Here, he could accommodate new men into the brotherhood, and build his business establishment. For the past year Father Mary and his brotherhood have been purchasing Arabica coffeebeans from Seattle, to distribute under the name Mystic Monk Coffee. The problem that arises is the capacity that the current monastery can produce (540 lbs/day). There are also many expenses the monks face while currently operating. The ranch would require more work to be able to keep up with lease payments and general maintenance costs of the land and the four addition building that Father Mary would like to build. Recommendation In a business aspect, purchasing the Irma Lake Ranch would be the best option for financial growth. Here they could grow an unlimited capacity of coffee beans and completely eliminate inbound shipping costs and broker fees, and could also reduce the cost of sales down from 30% of revenues. If the monks were able to put equal dedication to the coffee industry as they do to their prayer, then Mystic Monk Coffee should be a success. Action Plan Before anything else, Father Mary would have to approach the current owners of Irma Lake Ranch and provide an offer to lease to own half the property if they were willing to donate the other half. Donating half the land would be a huge loss for the current owners, so an agreement could be set up where the current owners of the ranch would hold shares in the company. This is a risky project to undertake for the ranch owners, but the payoff could be huge.Once the monks moved to the ranch, they could start developing the land into suitable crop fields for the coffee beans. Here they can master their technique and get the highest yield possible. Production possibilities could be unlimited which means customers could be

The well known musical Little Shop of Horrors took over the Dubois Little Theater this December under the direction of Ms. Shannon McNutt. Little Shop of Horrors is a fun, musical about a young botanical genius, Seymour Krelborn, his boss, and future foster father, Mr. Mushnik, and the young, dramatic and attractive Audrey. Seymour was a shy and sheltered man until he found a strange and interesting plant, which he named Audrey Two after his one true love, Audrey. The musical follows Seymour as he tries to get his sentient, bloodthirsty plant to grow so he can reap the benefits, but his morals quickly catch up with him as he begins to lose everything that matters. I believe that this show was worthwhile to see and be part of. While watching Little Shop of Horrorsyou can tell that it has comedic elements, but it also is somewhat dark and disturbing to watch Seymour s guilt and grief consume him. It is clearly a dark comedy. This is made clear through many different aspects of the writing. The show deals with murder, death, and world domination, but the characters are always sure to throw in a funny line or stop for a quick song. Though I enjoyed being part of this production, I don t think it has a universal appeal by any means. During one of the shows, a young girl was watching Seymour feed fake body parts to the plant at the end of act

There was a wide range of industries and services present including wharves, dockyards, warehouses, abattoirs, wool stores, railway yards and even an incinerator for the disposal of Sydney s waste. Housing: Prior to urban renewal, Pyrmont Ultimo had residents with similar incomes. Approximately 7500 new dwellings have been constructed plus the renovation of 1400 existing dwellings. The provision of affordable or public housing was an important aspect to consider in the process. Without some sort of intervention to provide this affordable housing, the attractiveness of living close to Sydney s CBD would only be reserved for high income earners as dwellings would be too expensive and rent would be too high. From a social equity point of view it was therefore vital to provide

Summary Of Saturn Devouring His Son The devastatingly gruesome painting of Saturn Devouring His Son by Francisco de Goya surprisingly has more connection to the nursing world than what first meets the eye. Created between 1819 through 1823, the painting s legend stems from Greek mythology (Goya, 1970). Saturn, also known as Cronus, was the almighty Greek titan who had come to power by taking over his father before him. Saturn feared his children would one day try to overcome him so he devoured them all. The legend goes on to tell how one of his sons Zeus survived to one day free his other siblings. This disturbing legend and painting connects to nurses bullyingeach other. This dark aspect of nursing needs to be brought to the light and only then can change be made. Jay Scott Morgan s interpretation of the painting focuses in on the relationship of Saturn and his son. The painting Saturn Devouring His Sonwas once seen as a symbol of evil, a Satan, a monster (Morgan). Morgan chose to focus on the relationships of the son and the father rather than the evil image of Saturn. He made the connection to Goya s twisted relationship with his son and Goya s painting; revealing jealousy is what causes a father to hate his son. Morgan interprets the painting as a story of fathers and sons (Morgan, n.d). He even makes connections to other western tales such as Abraham agreeing to his son to be sacrificed on Mount Moriah to depict the father son struggle. In both stories the father ends his son s life, whether

The article brings into question why numerical figures do not drop, the hypothesis behind this being that instances of stuttering develop during childhood as well, (Bloostein Ratner, 2008). After reading this article it is thought provoking to see the inconsistencies between prevalence and incidence due to the various epidemiologic factors and there affect on stuttering. James Stewart became a pioneer who decided to freelance and demanded half of the profit of his movies. Other star treaded his path and demanded payment for an individual film basis and this resulted in huge star salaries and the formation of their own production companies. Directors feared that the soaring salaries would ruin the film business and by 1959 the production of films in the US dropped about 250 films a year. The theatrical going audience also dropped. This event was held on Sunday afternoon in Ferguson Hall at the University of Minnesota. It was held in a small auditorium similar to a class setting. Barthold was accompanied by a student flutist and pianist. A lot of time was spent with the flutist and pianist playing a part of a piece, and him teaching and demonstrating on how to improve a piece and explaining the fundamentals of the music. It was a very informative event/class. Barthold Kujiken was born March 8, 1949. He s a Belgian flutist and recorder player. He attended Bruges Conservatory and the Royal Conservatories of Brussels and The Hague, where he studied the modern flute. He is best known for playing baroque music on authentic instruments such as the flute. He played in baroque orchestras for many years, and then went off to playing chamber music concerts all over the world, where he extended to playing 19th century music. The majority of the event he talked about Sonata s. As we discussed in class, a sonata is a solo instrument accompanied by a keyboard. In this case the solo instrument was the flute and it was accompanied by a piano. The flutist played a major sonata. As she played apiece he would stop her and tell her a few things to change to improve the piece, and she would play that piece once again with the revisions. One of the other things he told her was to play the sonata without any ornaments just the skeleton.

  • 27. Analysis Of Mutability By Percy Bysshe Shelley Essay Portfolio Part B Mutability (Greenblatt 752 753) is a poem written by the Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley in 1816. The Oxford English Dictionary defines the word Mutability as: Liability or tendency to change. (OED Online) Mutability was most probably written in order to portray Shelley s own views that humans do not have control over changes which occur in their own lives. However, it asserts Shelley s belief that, Nought may endure but Mutability. Shelley demonstrates this idea by using various literary devices, diction, and a sombre tone which is reflected through his choice of writing in the lyric form. Mutability was written at a time when Shelley experienced significant life changing events; January 1816 saw the birth of his first child to Mary Shelley, in the same year Shelley experienced financial struggles, and the suicide of his first wife Harriet in December 1816. (O Neill, M.) In addition to the changes he endured in his personal life, Shelley was very much aware of the changes happening during 1816 which was named, The year without a summer due to extreme changes in weather. During his trip to Switzerland, Shelley and a group of other Romantic poets began to create works to reflect this time of great change. (Gardiner, Lisa) This is significant as being exposed to so much change during 1816 more than likely inspired Shelley to write Mutability to demonstrate the human ability to accept and embrace change, as it cannot be prevented.

At most vets or animal clinics there are small and large dogs, because of the size differences the small and large dogs the grooming techniques differ. But lets hold on for a second. Before we even begin to groom the dogs one should get to know the dog better. Getting to know the dog (even if it s for only a few minutes) can help the grooming process go ten times smoother, because it allows not only you to get use to the dog but the dog gets use to you. Now that you two are familiar with one another the real grooming process can begin. When you are going to wash the dog know that there are some key points to remember. Though the dog has familiarized themselves with you, they still may not want a bath. At all cost do not force the dog to be bathed, in the end you are only going to stress out the dog and a stress dog creates an even more frustrated groomer. The point was clearly stated in the quote The reality is that few dogs were born loving baths, or even water. Resistance toward getting a bath can stem from inexperience or a previous bathing debacle. Regardless of the reason, a calm demeanor and gentle persistence are essential to keeping your pooch calm in the bathtub. SSS It gives a clear view and why the dog may feel this way and how to correct it for a successful grooming. Once you have gotten the dog to relax and stay calm you are ready to start. This first step is optional and mostly used for dogs who have long fur, before applying any water grab a brush and brush through the fur, this technique helps to lessen the amount of tangles the dog could have had or will have by the end of the bath. Now you can go ahead to apply water all over the dog s body to get the fur nice and soaked. After the dog has been soaked next is the shampoo, most vets use shampoos that help kill fleas, ticks, and other vermin. Bring the shampoo to a lather and get it all over the dog,

The Progressive Movement Of The United States The progressive movement was one of the greatest times in America s history, not only was the progressive movement noble but also needed especially after the lasting effects of the Civil War. Although there were many problems still plaguing the United States the progressive movement provided some Americans with a sense of hope because of changes in politics. First of all, progressive Presidents like Teddy Roosevelt and Woodrow Wilsonwould not necessarily fight for their own political parties, but would fight for the people, reduce the power of big businesses that exploited their employees and helped small businesses by introducing antitrust legislation. Women s rights also became a huge issue during the progressive movement which would be solved by granting women more rights and even giving Americans the right to directly select senators. Basically the progressive movement was beneficial to America because it gave more Americans more opportunities, like being able to vote, being able to make decent wages and small businessto be able to compete. Despite repeated attempts to gain the attention of the healthcare team to Blackman s impending crisis, his pain was once again downplayed. Additionally, trust in organizations is a positive relation with behavior at the workplace and is connected with unions, human resources, and government interventions. Most government marketplace interventions have used the alternative treatment principle of triage to split those in pain into three groups : those who cannot be helped with the assets offered ,those who will recuperate (or at least continue ) without any help, and those who will improve only with instant assistance(Sastre,2010, chap.16).In some anxiety, managers have progressively advanced in training, structural behavior, and job improvement to help workers. In order that a company is productive a union, human resources, and government interventions must allow workers to change their habits, skills, values, beliefs, and attitudes in a workforce. This process will more likely take some hard work and years to process. They need to accept dissatisfactions and unpredicted consequences of solutions to difficult problems, and the continuing power to work determinedly at improving the quality of help the workers receive. To put this into perspective, you get people such as Dorothy Day, who expresses her beliefs in her passage, Poverty in the Face of Christ, that the world is meant to be equal and live for, and around God.
