Cabaret the plot is more dramatic really focusing on the rise of Nazism and the

Literary Analysis of The Kite Runner In the novel The Kite Runner, there are many
actions from the characters such as Baba that make people wonder if they are
good people or not. The Kite Runner is about two groups of people and two
children from entirely opposite ethnicities who grow up together. While growing,
it shows their suffers of a new age and world that they have to live in and how they
adapted to it. Hosseini s purpose of including morally ambiguous characters to this
book is to give everybody in the novel an equal slate. Amir and Baba were rich but
they were cold hearted at many times along with being selfish with rare chances
they were good natured around others. Unlike Amir and Baba, their servants were
as kind as possible to everybody that came around including enemies and friends.
Baba shows his moral ambiguity all throughout the book by taking Amir to
America but is a mediocre father and a horrible role model. Baba is a morally

love or affection for Amir. The way he raised Amir was to be there for Amir when

view, character, and setting in their short stories The Storm and Greasy Lake . Kate
Chopin s characters and events follow the setting the storm. This greatly enhances her
work. Boyle s characters mirror his setting as well a greasy lake. It is amazing how

flat, mainly because of the point of view of first person. The reader must of course

The reader sees inside the narrator and through his eyes out at the world around him

Despite being so busy, the nursing style was still far more holistic than on my
surgical placements and the involvement of the multi disciplinary team was far more
evident. Overall a very good experience indeed.
General Surgery Ward 33 (RLI) I have just finished my ten week placement here,
and I m so glad it s over! It has been my least enjoyable placement so far. The pace
was so fast and the ward was very understaffed which means of course that students
get treated as dogsbodies for much of the time rather than having the time and

wondered what am I doing this for. Ward 33 is a mixed gender 28 bedded ward
which is always full. As soon as someone is discharged there is another patient
waiting to come in. It takes both elective and emergency cases mainly for vascular
surgery and bowel surgery. There was such a lot to learn, so much interesting stuff
going on, but all in all the whole experience was just too stressful by far. The staff
were a mixed bunch with some very highly skilled and knowledgable nurses, but
some which made us feel so stupid and worthless and treated us really badly. It was

Fun House, Not So Fun
The autobiographical graphic novel Fun Home, by Alison Bechdel presents
characters evolving to the reader in an intimate way. She reveals within her novel
the high cost of claiming to be gay or lesbian within America. Instead of reading the
author s recollection of her experiences, her graphic novel connects the reader within
the experience as the observer. This allows the reader to look at both the personality
of the novelist and the developmental impacts that have shaped her. Fun Home, is a
distinctively persuasive novel that is entangled within the lives of Alison s family.
While presenting to the reader the explanations of Bruce s death, Alison endeavors to
adjust to the reality of her father s death by remembering family life at the Fun House.
Alison introduces the mourning of her father to the readers as the central event of
the story in the first chapter. She proclaims her father s demise by saying; His
death was quite possibly his consummate artifice, his masterstroke. In essence she
is broadcasting Bruce Bechdel death as a clever move, while trying to acclimate to
the reality of her father s death. Her lack of emotions shows she has not adapted to
reality, the comic strip illustrates her dead stair looking away from her father s
coffin. At the same time, family and friends believe Bruce was run over by a truck
and his death is an accident, but Alison is convinced
