In conclusion of this case, we learned that leasing and purchasing items for the
purpose of business has different implications on the financial status of the company.
This is especially true when the terms for each are different.
Another point to consider is the future impact of either buying or leasing a piece of
equipment has on the future of the company. Does the company hope to depreciate
the value of a purchased piece of equipment and then gain some salvage value at the
end. Could any salvage value come from taking this approach? Would there be any
potential buyers for the used equipment if it was yours to sell at the end of a useful
life? These are all questions to consider along with the NPV and terms and payments
and financial stability of the company when determining whether one should buy or
lease something.
I would recommend that Mr. Jeffries take all the analysis he can consider into
account before making his decision keeping in mind that the revenues and expenses
he will generate will be the same regardless of whether he leases or buys the carts. I

Researching South Africa and Somalia
In this paper I will be researching about South Africa and Somalia. I will be
discussing the lithosphere, atmosphere, hydrosphere and biosphere of the two
countries. I also will be comparing and contrasting the two countries, seeing their
similarities and differences. This will include the Kalahari Desert, Shimbiris
Mountain, climate, major rivers and environmental issues in the two countries. With
much research, I hope to learn all that I can and maybe give some new unknown facts
about South Africa and Somalia that whoever is reading didn t know.
Starting off with South Africa, one of the major geologic features in this country is
the Kalahari Desert. The desert formed about 60 million years ago along with the
African continent and covers most of Botswana, Namibia and South Africa. The
name of the desert name descends from the word Kgala meaning a waterless place
. The Kalahari has very hot weather and can get up to 40 degrees Celsius in the
summer and in the winter it can get dry and cold reaching a temperature of 0
degrees Celsius. A lot of the desert has a huge area that s great for grazing and
supporting the animal s needs that are there. It has a lot of reserves, which includes
the Central Kalahari Game Reserve, the Khutse Game Reserve, and the Kgalagadi
Transfrontier Park. There are many tribes in the Kalahari Desert even though survival
may be tough. One in particular are the San Bushmen people who have been living in
the desert

Influence Of Risk Factors
Discussion:
The lack of adequate knowledge about risk factors and failure to implement
necessary measures has resulted in increasing day to day risk factors. Identifying
NCDs risk factors, implementing control strategies and decreasing the upward trend
can have a significant impact on reducing NCDs. In many countries, the incidence
and prevalence of chronic and NCDs has risen and this trend is expected to continue
upward. The reason for this increase is the increased risk of these diseases in recent
years.

Due to low age of onset of diabetes in Iran, screening programs, with accuracy and
high quality, are required for people over 30 years of age. Prevalence of gestational
diabetes was 4.41 percent, which is consistent with previous studies in western
countries (18). Because of the differences in age of marriage and fertility in Iran,
prevalence of gestational diabetes risk factors is very different, but in general,
prevalence of gestational diabetes in Iran is about 1.3 to 18.6% (19).
Hypertension and Cardiovascular Diseases:
The most significant metabolic risk factor in the world is hypertension (HTN),
accounting for 18% of the total global deaths. Prevalence of HTN in this study is
lower than other studies. Lack of awareness is one of the reasons for low HTN
prevalence (20). The age of diagnosis of HTN is similar to other studies . However,
it must be borne in mind that HTN appears earlier than other chronic diseases.
Findings of this study indicate that prevalence of HTN in women is nearly twice
than men. In some studies, prevalence of HTN is higher in men, while in some
other studies, it is higher in women, and the difference is due to differences in
prevalence of risk factors, such as obesity and physical inactivity in both sexes (21).
As prevalence of the risk factors is higher, among women in Iran, prevalence of HTN
in women is more than men, as well (22). If HTN is not controlled or treated, leads
to 50%, 33% and about 10 to 15%
