effective teacher aspiring to meet the Every Student Succeeding policy (Education Queensland,
2016), in addition to well developed content and pedagogical knowledge I will require a broad
knowledge, understanding, and respect for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander histories, cultures
and languages (2.4 AITSL, 2011). Cultural diversity is multidimensional and may range from,
language to beliefs, personal space to family roles, presence to the value of education, spirituality
or concepts of health and healing (Lee, Cosby, deBaca, 2012). To address such diversity research,

Abortion The title of the scholarly journal article I read is called Making Abortion rare and safe.
Abortion is the process where you end pregnancy before the fetus is born, which therefore deceases
the fetus. This article is important because this subject has become very prevalent worldwide.
Abortion is developing a high increase in numerous of countries, therefore there needs to be a safer
abortionawareness or to even make it infrequent in non serious cases. The author, Duff Gillespie,
started of this article by explaining to the audience how important and severe abortion is to
women. Gillespie wrote that in the United States, there is a serious debate on women s right to
control their bodies against letting a healthy fetus live. This shouldn t be a serious case because
all women do have the right to control their bodies, but when it comes to a fetus, they have to
think twice. Many women are tremendously having medical issues while pregnant, and in that
case they have no absolute control on their bodies so they will need to officially proceed with an
abortion. But On the other hand, other women are just concerned about body beauty and how it
would risk a fetus s life, like gaining a couple of extra body fat. So I feel that if this debate is
recognized, medical or political researchers would have to consider it intensely. The increase in
abortion is developing a world foreign assistance. This United States was listed as one of the main

Herman, are both films that share similar themes and are focused on the time of war during Hitler s
reign of power. In both films, the idea of innocence is portrayed and corrupted through the
friendship of child protagonists, influence of father figures, characterisation of children in war and

The innocence of Bruno is portrayed through the stylistic device, dramatic irony, such as Not fair,
me stuck by my own and you have all your friends in there. The innocent friendship between the
two boys leads them to their deaths in the ending scene, mise en scene comes into place as the
scene shows the empty room with only the clothes and boots that were left after the boys and other
Jews got gassed. In this scene, there is a form of diegetic music being played and the film
finishes with a fading camera shot, that creates a heart breaking tone to the film and the
audience is able to feel the loss of innocence after the boys death. With a similar end of war scene
in The Book Thief, after the bombings that occurred, Liesel lost the boy she loved which is
another way that the idea of innocence has been corrupted. Within this scene the director uses a
bird s eye view angle of the death of Rudy and mise en scene is also used in this text, placing
Liesel sitting with Rudy in the middle of the ruins of their street, leaving the audience to feel
heartbroken just as The Boy in Striped Pyjamas does with the death of both boys. Although, the
friendship between child protagonists in The Book Thief, Liesel and Rudy, starts as an innocent
friendship and remains that way through most of the film, their friendship is explored through
playful love whereas the friendship between Bruno and Shmuel is explored through boundaries
