I. HARDWARE IMPLEMENTATION: A. Power Supply First power comes from 240v,59 Hz
Ac supply. We cannot apply those power directly to Arduino. Because capacity of Arduino is 5v
Dc Supply. so in first we need to level of voltage down from 240v to 5v. in second step we need
to convert AC current to Dc current. The block diagram is shown below. B. Arduino Arduino Uno

The Importance Of Civil Rights In The NFL Players
Players from the National Football League(NFL) are taking a stand for the violation of civil
rights in our country. This started to be an issue when Colin Kaepernick took a knee during the
playing of the national anthem. In many eyes, the ways these NFL players are expressing their
opinion is very frowned upon. It has snowballed into a heated viewpoint of the NFL and has
many fans boycotting. The NFL stars are protesting violations in civil rights in an unpopular
fashion because the national anthem is not the problem rather than the events occurring in our
country, there are alternate ways to protest, and tv ratings are crashing. The national anthem is
not the problem rather than the events occurring in our country. Colin Kaepernick said, I am not
going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of
color, (Wyche, 2016). With his decision to kneel during the anthem it has lead to many
problems associated with the NFL. Problems associated with his decision to kneel includes tv
ratings and merchandise sells of the NFL are at an all time low. Another problem is that teams
are afraid to sign Colin Kaepernick and get in the middle of all of the controversy surrounding
him. The reason he chose to kneel during the anthem is that he has the right to exercise whether or
not he participate. He was eager in his attempts to prove a point and get his message across. Some
may feel he has done an excellent job while others are very unhappy

Abstract
This report aims to analyse and discuss the results of carrying out tensile tests for two materials, in
this case Mild Steel and Nylon. The purpose of this is to use the information generated to calculate
Young s Modulus, Yield Stress, Tensile Strength
, and Percentage Elongation. These properties must
be known before designing a product using the materials tested, because the anticipated behaviour
of the material must be suitable for the design specification, with a margin left for safety.
The test followed the standard procedure for tensile testing; force was applied to a specimen of
known dimensions, and the resulting extension was recorded, thus allowing a stress strain graph to
be generated. The bottom of the specimen was secured into the crosshead of a tensile test machine,
and the top secured to the load cell. An extensometer is placed on the specimen to measure
extension. The test is complete when the force applied by raising the load cell at a constant rate
causes the specimen to fail.

Vince Lombardi Speech
What it takes to be number one by Vince Lombardi, the speaker talks about winning and losing.
The speech was given in 1967 in the locker room to his teammate before the super bowl in L.A
California. As an American football player, coach, and executive in the National Football League.
He also won the first two Super Bowls following the 1966 and 1967. Also, he best known as the
head coach of the Green Bay Packersduring the 1960s. Throughout the speech Lombardi applies
different rhetorical strategies as metaphor, appeals, allusion, diction, understatement, etc., arguing
the winning is everything but you also you can t win if you didn t lose, his purpose motivate his
team to win and the time but eventually his speech became and motivational address to the
American people, and to everyone who reads it.
Lombardi uses metaphor to explain what he means by what he hints throughout the speech. The
author is not talking about playing with your heart literally, but he expects to listen to what your
heart truly wants, But more importantly, you ve got to play with your heart, with every fiber of
your body. . The speaker means that you should do your best and try your hardest.
Lombardi uses appeals in two different ways pathos, and logos. He appeals to the audience
emotions by using God as an example in his speech, I believe in God, and I believe in human
decency. By using god in his speech he is making his audience to use their hearts because God, and
religion those are usually topic

Social Media Trends That Rock The Internet
FIVE SOCIAL MEDIA TRENDS THAT ROCK THE INTERNET
WE can clearly observe the substantive share of social media on internet from the data above.
More importantly the popularity of social media as seen from the above data amongst youngsters
indicates the growth of social media in times to come as this generation moves on. Also, there are
studies indicating that the time spent online has doubled in the past ten years. These two trends
combined together indicate that social media is really becoming big in our lives and the net.
The social media trends that dominate the scene are:
1. SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES : Social networking has grown to become one of the largest
and most influential components of the web. It is the use of internet based social media programs
to make connections with family , friends, classmates, customers and clients. Social networking can
occur for social purposes, business purposes or both through sites such as Facebook, Twitter,

Pros And Cons Of Porn
Spreading immorality? Ruining relationships? Perpetuating sexism and increasing crime rate? On
top of any religious objections, pornography has always been a very controversial subject, an issue
with various opinions and also blatant facts.
Especially for the past few decades, the porn debate with its cons and pros has been raging
constantly. Those who link pornography to countless crimes and ill effects are definitely
ideologically motivated, but the actual scientific evidence hardly supports their conclusions.
Here are some of the most essential cons of pornography and the facts that prove them wrong:
1.Porn is obscene, ill and against religion! Throughout the world, porn is considered in most
cultures quite morally questionable and obscene and religious beliefs are against it, considering it a

Theme Of The Lone Ranger And Tonto Fistfight From Heaven
Imagine a society that prevents you from being successful because of who you are. That is the
kind of life both Balram and Victor lived throughout their lives. In The White Tiger by Aravind
Adiga, the main character Balram experienced excessive discrimination because of his
background. People like him who came from extreme poverty are treated like animals because of
the caste system that people in Indiafollows as some form of tradition. On the other hand, Victor,
from The Lone RangerAnd TontoFistfight From Heaven by Sherman Alexie, he witnesses the tragic
lifestyle of native americans in the reservation and after leaving the reservation, he also experienced
discrimination because of the stereotypes against the native americans. The marginalization Balram
accustomed in the caste system of India and Victor experienced outside of the reservation and
within the community of the reservation caused them to escape from their own lives and hope for a
better reality.
Both Balram and Victor thinks that the culture that they lived throughout the most part of their life
is completely dysfunctional and that thought made them eager to attain the outside culture. The life
that Victor witnessed in the reservation and Balram witnessed in his village proved the society
they live in is flawed. In The Lone Ranger And Tonto Fistfight In Heaven, Victor and Adrian
watches the basketball game of Julius but he is not doing as well as they expected him to be. After
the basketball game, Victor

Argument Against Higher Order Theories Of Consciousness
Dretske s quick argument against higher order theories of consciousness Students Name
Institutional Affiliation Date Dretske s quick argument against higher order theories of
consciousness Higher order theories of consciousness directly state that thoughts, perceptions, and
beliefs follow the first mental orders that that connect to personal consciousness. Mostly, the
perception of something such as visible images represents the initial thought of phenomenal
consciousness. The higher order of theories of consciousness seeks to elaborate the distinct
characteristics of consciousness between the consciousness of a particular state of a question and a
representation of a higher order thought and believe of the same subject state (Carruthers, 2016).
The phenomenal consciousness consists distinctive characteristics that are challenging to explain in
the higher orders theories. The subjective components include properties are challenging since the
subjective aspects involve feelings and personal process to undergo through their mind. According
to the higher order theory of consciousness, the mental feeling, thoughts, and perception people
have in life consciously occur but not always since people sometimes sense things subliminally
hence independent in people consciousness. In the past, philosophers differ in support of the higher
order theory of consciousness since there are issues that arise in clarifying the difference conscious

The Pros And Cons Of Cyber Harassment
The 21st Century brought a great amount of developments on the field of communication. The
most distinguished one, with no doubt, is the Internet, which enabled instant and constant
communication from one point of the planet to the other. However, not everything has been
grandiose: this power to communicate brought along several new ways of damaging others. One of
the most common new crimes related to this phenomenon is cyberstalking, which is many times
confused with both cyberbullying and cyberharassment. Before talking about these cybercrimes, it
would be convenient to define the crimes as they were before Internet arrived to our lives:
Harassment is an umbrella term which includes actions designed to annoy, provoke, threaten or

One that may easily arise is that one regarding expletives: cyberstalking or cyberbullying very
often includes hard and very rude vocabulary, and, alongside cyberharassment, can present sexual
intentions from the wrongdoer, which the plaintiff shall explain in crude detail. Even when the
interpreter is shocked or offended by such use of language, he should never embellish the speech
or omit the parts which he, due to personal standards and beliefs, considers inappropriate. Doing
this would account for a change in the meaning of the speech, which the judges or attorneys from
the other part will use to consider the case on one way or the other, which may very well harm the
interests of any of the parts involved in the proceeding. An interpreter should, as well, control his
emotions. Cases involving cyberstalking and the related crimes can often present impressive
stories, which may sensitize the interpreter. This may not damage the result of the proceeding, but
will damage the reputation of the interpreter as it will deem him not reliable to convey the proper
equivalent of the speech due to emotional

What Is Meant by the Kingdom of God Essay
Outline what Jesus must have meant when he used the term: Kingdom of God . The term Kingdom
of God (or as is otherwise referred to as Kingdom of Heaven in Matthew s Gospel) is mentioned
throughout the Four Gospels. Over the centuries many scholars have reached the same conclusion
that the central theme of Jesusmessage regards the Kingdom of God. But what did Jesus mean by
this term? This essay aims to discuss the meaning of the term Kingdom of God and what Jesus must
have meant by this.
The Kingdom of God is perceived in many different ways by a variety of people. It is commonly
thought that it refers to a life after death namely Heaven and Jesus seems to reinforce this by
stating, my kingdom is not of this ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Consequently it is fair to say that to the Jewish people of Jesus time the term Kingdom of God
was interpreted as a time when God s rule would be restored through a descendant of David and
things would be good again. Macquarrie sums their view precisely when he states, The coming of
the Kingdom would mean the judgement of the existing order, the overthrow of all evil and
demonic powers and a new order in which God s perfect reign would be manifested.
In contrast Pope Benedict XVI s book, Jesus of Nazareth, stated that the Kingdom of God is ... an
inner disposition characterised in daily behaviour by adopting the mind and outlook of Christ...
A teacher of the law once asked Jesus, Which commandment is the most important? He deemed
loving God and your neighbour as the two most important. So here it is clear that Jesus is
talking about love as a major theme in personal conduct a theme which is exemplified by biblical
stories of Jesus own behaviour. Jesus demonstrated his love for others on many occasions and in
many different ways. He spoke to people who were outcasts or disliked such as the woman at the
well and Zacchaeus. He met people s physical needs through some of his

Electronic Health Records And Health Information Technology
In the last decade of USA medical history there have been little to no change in medical errors in
regards to improvement of care. Meaningful Use, Electronic Health Records and Health Information
Technology are practices and programs that can be possible solutions for this issue. The goals of
meaningful use include improving quality, safety, efficiency, and to reduce health disparities,
improvecare coordination and ensure adequate privacy and security of personal health information
(Hoyt,2014). With meaningful use, there are three stages: stage one begins the process of
capturing date and sharing the information. Stage two is advancing the data processing and sharing
and building off of the first stage. Stage three is the examination of the outcomes. Meaningful Use
is defined under the Center of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and is essentially an incentive
program through the government to create a health system that is run electronically and provides
higher quality of care through technology. Since the goal is to create safer and higher quality
through HIT by providing an incentive for EP s to further develop their use of the technology
there must be a time line in place in order to know whether the Ep s hitting the requirements. This
year, 2014, is originally a major year for Meaningful Use however, with changes in the time line,
the cost of HIT, and the increasing of objectives can lead to major complications in the initial
timeline created.
Meaningful use is a subsection

Is Bridget jones nothing more than Pride and Prejudice in...
Love and marriage is the theme of the best selling book Bridget Jones Diary by Helen Fielding
and the critically acclaimed novel Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen. There are numerous
similarities between the two yet they are set in different eras. Despite this, the young women in
both texts have to deal with family and people in their social circles pressurising them to meet the
ideal man or love interest.
Each story revolves around the main female characters, Bridget Jones and Elizabeth Bennet. In pride
prejudice, the financial status of the women was more of an issue when it came to finding an ideal
partner, than it was in Bridget Jones Diary. The Bennets were not very financially secure, so Mrs
Bennet would arrange or attend parties ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Nowadays, this has changed as Bridget s love life with her boyfriend Daniel Cleaver, affects no
one but herself and she is not concerned how her relationship with him will affect her parents.
In both texts the men have very high expectations of the women they want to date or court, and
seem to disregard women who do not reach these standards. An example of this is when Bridget
overhears Mark Darcy talking about her to his mother remarking on how inappropriate her
language is and how dependable she is on alcohol and cigarettes. Mother I do not need a blind
date. Particularly not with some verbally incontinent spinster who drinks like a fish, smokes like
a chimney and dresses like her mother. Mark doesn t want to be associated or fixed up with Bridget
as she does not fit his ideal.
Equally, Mr Darcy tells his friend Mr Bingley how outspoken and rude the Bennet girls are, and
how he dislikes the family. He makes this known to Elizabeth by refusing to dance with her.
Indeed, sir, I have not the least intention of dancing. I entreat you not to suppose that I moved this
way in order to beg for a partner. Mr Darcy replied with this, when asked if he would like to dance
with her.
Mr Darcy feels Elizabeth is of a lower status than himself, and looks down on her for that, in the
same way that Mark does on Bridget preferring to keep friendship with his more likely partner
Natasha his work colleague.
Bridget feels personally, that she is

Essay On Game Theory
Game Theory was devised in the 1950 s and slowly grew into the field of biology and today it is
even used in computers and is one of the most important tool in every field. Game Theory is a
psychological theory which usually applies to social conditions, which affect the behavioral and
decision making of an individual. This theory is vast and deals with how a group reacts and
interact. This theory is used in mostly all major fields such as business, biology, science, logic,

They can study their strategies and decisions they make to buy and sell products , how they engage
during transactions and what outcomes that result in the end.
Game theory has three main branches: The mechanism design theory, the general equilibrium
theory and the decision theory.
The Mechanism design theory gives analysts flexibility, as it lowers the restrictions on variables.
This theory shows the consequences of different regulations and guidelines and how groups of
people can take advantages when using certain strategy in different situations. We can look at the
examples on auctions where sellers can identify the risks and avoid them completely.
The General equilibrium theory lays down general guidelines to set up rules and restrictions
looking at the behavior of people. It is broadly used in economics such as in making tax policies,
voting, which intensives to apply and to interpret stock exchanges.
The Decision theory is a game generally used for a single person. It brings the possible outcomes of
the choices of a person where high risks equals maximum profits and low risk equals low profits.

Philosophy Of Clinical Mental Health Counseling
Philosophy and Approach
I am a mental health counselor working towards licensure in the state of Washington. I have a
master s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University Seattle. In my
current counseling practice, I work with individual adults (over 18). I take a humanistic
approach to therapy; in our sessions together, we will focus on the here and now of your
experience, while also exploring your past and social context to the extent they are relevant to
your present concerns. Our first meeting will be a time for you to tell your story; then, together,
we will assess your concerns and issues, and decide on the goals toward which you would like to

I am committed to embracing cultural diversity and social responsibility in my counseling practice
(Corey, et al., 2015, p. 112). I am committed to my own cultural competency and, although I am
not perfect, I am open to learning and growth (p. 118). I invite you to challenge my assumptions.
Many therapy approaches reflect Western patriarchal values that do not fit the needs of all
cultural perspectives (p. 117 118). I consider your disclosure of personal information to be an
important aspect of therapy, but I will encourage you to self disclose according to your own
timeline, not mine (p. 120). Some people hesitate to speak due to respect and cultural norms, so
I encourage you to let me know when I am being too direct or assertive in my questions (p. 122).
Therapy sometimes assumes a goal of individualization, buy I realize this might not be your
goal, so I am open to exploring issues of collective responsibility as well as self actualization (p.
123). Finally, I come from a Western cultural orientation, both personally and professionally, and
am often unconscious of my nonverbal behaviors, so I encourage you to let me know when I treat
you disrespectfully in my use of eye contact, facial expression, or gestures, or when my
interventions feel uncomfortably personal or intrusive (p. 123). Recognizing our own cultural and
historical embeddedness can remind us that our assumptions about what a person is and what a

Diagnosis of TB Disease:
People suspected to have TB disease should test for the following:
Medical history,
Physical examination,
Test for TB infection (TB skin test or TB blood test),
Chest radiograph (X ray)
Appropriate laboratory tests
Testing for TB infection:
Tuberculin skin test: Also called the Mantoux tuberculin skin test is done by injecting a small
amount of fluid (called tuberculin) into the skin in the lower part of the arm. A person given the
tuberculin skin test must return within 48 to 72 hours to have a trained health care worker look
for a reaction on the arm. If at the site of injection there may be raised, hard area or swelling, its
size should be using a ruler. If the size is greater than 5cm this indicates the positive result for TB.

Analysis Of Katsushika Hokusai s Influence On Art
To what extent should an artist go to to draw in a crowd? Katsushika Hokusai painted hanging
upside down, painted with his mouth, painted with his toes and painted sometimes with a broom
instead of a paintbrush. Hokusai grew in fame because of his art, but also because of how he could
promote himself. Katsushika Hokusaiwas a very different type of artist during his time. He did not

Hokusai, in total, had two sons and three daughters with these two wives. His youngest daughter,

him to branch away from traditional ukiyo e subjects to the daily Japanese life and landscapes.
In 1798, Hokusai passed on his name to his pupil and set out as an independent artist with the

Why Spanking Is Wrong
Sitting back and watching the destruction of our youth is very disconcerting. We need to take back
our youth from the streets, clubs, and gangs. There has been a sort of disconnect with the way
youths are being raised because, parents can no longer spank their kids when they do wrong.
Society has decided that spankingwas too harsh and that parents needed to find other ways to
discipline their children. Spanking is a type of corporal punishmentthat is commonly used to
discipline children. Without producing any physical injury, the parent will normally strike the child
s bottom with their open hand, belt, or a switch (which is normally a tiny off a tree) for
inappropriate behavior.
The argument over whether a child should be spank or not has ... Show more content on

If a child gets a spanking he will view it as violence to get what he wants but thinks the parents
condones violence because he received a spanking. When that is not the case, most children that
receives a spanking knows what they did was wrong and they should not do those things again.
Spanking is not a form of violence but a form of discipline that helps parents keep their children
in line. Those parents that believes in spanking, most comes from a Christian background. It is
widely believed the God commands them to spank for the wrongdoing. The Christians knows in
the Bible it says in Proverbs 19:18 Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare
for his crying . So, therefore they have no problems spanking the children for their misdeeds. The
parents who does not believe in spanking, thinks that other forms of punishment such as time out is
effective. Contrary to popular believe, that may work for some but not all. There has to be a
middle ground somewhere. Some parents thinks that giving a child stern talk will also help. There
has not been proof that it

2020 marks for the 50th anniversary of the first Earth Day, in that year the main focus will be to
end plastic pollution (Earth Day). The first Earth Day was on April 22, the 1970s all throughout
the U.S. Know it s a global event that people from all over the world celebrated. Before the
movement started in the 1970 s, a great oil spill happened that Santa Barbara had in California,
1969. Thus, the oil spill encouraged Senator Gaylord Nelson of having a day to focus on helping
the environment and teach the public of natural disasters (History of earth day, 2017). Millions of
people went to the street to protest for the negative impacts of more than a hundred years of
industrial development. The natural environment has been on a road of destruction ever since the
industrial revolution. In addition, humans have been overwhelmed with gaining wealth that they
have ignored the environmental needs for many years. It can be said that this movement has been a
great success in protecting the environment. There are three main reasons why this movement is
successful: The first, is the strong focus of the movement, which promotes public awareness of
pollution problems, the second, is all the positive influence the main media has have to the
movement and lastly, is the overall knowledge that people receive after participating in an earth

Terrorism Stereotypes
Within the twenty first century, terrorism has sparked a global hysteria. In recent years the
group ISIS or the Islamic State of Iraq and Syria seems to be the cover of every newspaper and
TV broadcasts headlines and breaking news. Since June of 2014 the group has inspired at least 90
different terrorists attacks in 21 countries around the world, killing around 1,400 people and
critically injuring 2,000 others (ISIS attacks). This trend has pushed men and women from western
cultures to research stereotypes many Westerners hold against Middle Easterners. Some examples
of these stereotypes include: All Middle Easterners are Muslim. All Muslims are terrorists. Islamis a
violent religion. Muslims are all foreigners who can not adapt to Western culture. (Typical

The Star Wars Trilogy
A directors cut, is a specified edit of a version of a film (or video game, music video, etc.) that is

interview with Associated Press, and states that the Star Wars series only represented 25 or 30 per
cent of what he wanted it to be. In the following paragraphs, I will show you how editing scenes

Finding out about Jabba the Hutt s appearance and likeness delivers a huge blow to character
development. It takes the mystery out of finding out who this guy that is constantly being talked
about. Ruining a plot mystery like this can ruin the surprise to endings of a story instead of letting
it all unfold.
Another change that happen between versions of Star Wars IV: A New Hope, is the various CGI

Often nowadays characters of well known stories are at times more well known than the stories
they inhabit thanks to pop culture where people recognize faces, but not their origins. The
Sandman, a comic published by DC Comics, has taken various comic and Biblical references and
incorporated them into its own universe. These allusions to other works helps the reader easily
identify characters and their roles in the story, especially if they have a wide enough literature
background. Some simply reveal something about the universe they inhabit. Understanding this
makes the book much more satisfying to read and appreciate the thought put into the book. In The

Cain and Abel are an allusion to the story of the first murder in the Bible, and Lucifer is the Lord
of Hell (or in the story a triumvirate with Beelzebub and Azazel). Cain and Abel s first
appearance involves the two arguing about a present and finding Dream at the doorstep
(Gaiman, Imperfect Hosts ). Lucifer is introduced when Dream ventures into hell to retrieve his
mask from a demon that traded it (Gaiman, A Hope in Hell ). Throughout their interactions, the
reader can learn a lot about the universe that they inhabit. Abel lights a room with fire on his

one can conclude that magic is real, and there are multiple realms or worlds that the supernatural
beings inhabit (Gaiman, A Hope in Hell ). Any reader that had read any book that relates to

concept that magic and Hell has laws or rules to follow, which Choronzon even mentions when

epic stories are realistic, but like Dr. McDonie described in his lecture notes, the book was mostly
invented. Indeed, about 99 of the kings that seen in the story, 70 were invented by Geoffrey of

women and question the reader, where they have been in the entire book. As a matter of fact, I

The Second Wave Of Freedom Movement
Since universities did not accept women students, they were denied a college education.
This movement was hard fought. The campaign for women suffrage was met with such fierce
opposition that it took 72 years for the women and their male supporters to finally be successful.
It was on August 19, 1920 that the 19th amendment to the United States Constitution was passed,
giving all American women the right to vote. This victory was just the beginning of fighting for
women s rights. This movement led to the second wave of rebellion, because much still needed to
be done.
THE SECOND WAVE
The Second wave is a time in history that refers to the Women s Liberation Movement. The year,
1963, was marked with great events happening. The Civil Rights Movement was also taking hold at
that time; two great social movements were rising.
The Women s Liberation Movement was thought of as the Second Wave of women seeking reform.
Second wave activist fought for sexual and reproductive rights, but even more importantly fought
for equal rights in education and in the workplace. Women felt that again great unfairness and
injustices were placed on women.
One fact that stands out during this time of second wave movement is that the women of the 60s
and 70s were daughters of the women who had joined the workforce during World War II. The
women of the 40s and 50s remembered how difficult it was for them and how they were treated
after the war. They felt the discrimination first hand so

Designing A Computer Model Of A Human Body
If you are new to 3D, you may wonder what exactly the term rendering means. Rendering is the
process of developing a life like image or animation from any 2D or 3D model with the help of
computer programs. The model generated holds three dimensional qualities such as shadows,
texture, lighting and viewpoint. Rendering can take a few minutes or even up to days for a single
image per frame.
In a 3D graphics context, rendering is a leading interactive media process and the last stage in the
pipeline. Rendering has been gradually improving in terms of the speed as computer has become
more rapid and the breakthrough from programmers. Rendering has been dated all the way back in
the 1960s, and American computer graphics director William Fetter was the first to create a
computer model of a human body.
William Fetter administers the progress development of a computer program as he was attempting
to come up with a new process which allowed him to widen the layout efficiency inside Boeing s
airplane cockpits. Fetter defines the process by calling it computer graphics . It was one of Fetter s
partner, Ivan Sutherland who transformed things in motion in 1963. The graphical communication
system name Sketchpad enabled one to interactively create an image on the computer display for
the first time. This granted Fetter the ability to create the first ever three dimensional image of the
human body through computer graphics. It was called the First Man or also known as Boeing Man .

After studying Silas Deane s life following his death it was discovered that he was very
depressed by his poverty, low reputation and poor health. So a rumor was begun that he
consequently committed suicide on the Boston Packet sailing back to the United States. One of
Silas greatest friends, John Cutting, reported that Deane had prearranged to take an adequate
quantity of Laudanum to ensure his dissolution before the ship would dock in America. Thus
now this becomes the most likely cause of his death; that Deane, who was extremely depressed,
chose to take his life shortly after boarding the ship sailing to America. The only fault that would
come to this conclusion is why would Silas go to all that trouble of packing/buying food and
supplies for the voyage when he could have just killed himself at his home in England, this now
brings us to the last possible cause of his death. Later, we found out that Silas Deane s long time
friend Edward Bancroft was double dealing of sorts, Bancroft was a known spy to the Americas
but no one knew that he was also a spy for the British as well until British documents from that
time were released to the public library; we then learned that Edward Bancroft was on the payroll

With roots in the Church of the Brethren, it is easy to trace where the organizational culture gets its
roots. In fact their mission statement is to provide Christian educational opportunities, facilities,

centered living, leadership, and stewardship of creation, leading toward wholeness in the kingdom
of God (Brethren Woods, 2017). These Christian beliefs are explicit in each camp week as the

Blackrobe Movie Review Essay
В‘Black Robe Movie Critique
В‘Black Robe is the story of a young Jesuit Priest from France who embarks on a religious
journey to convert, to Christianity, the Aboriginal tribes of New France. Set primarily in Ontario
during the mid 1630 s, Father Lafargue travels from Quebec via the Ottawa River to the home of
the Huron people in what is now referred to as the Simcoe Region of South Central Ontario. He is
aided by a band of Algonquin speaking people, numbering roughly 20 and a young Frenchman with
aspirations of Priesthood in the motherland. Blackrobe offers an intriguing insight into the

The Jesuit Priests saw the Aboriginals as savage and uncultured. not unlike the English or Germans
before French influence. During a flashback sequence belonging to the main protagonist Father
Lafargue, one can see what the elite of France, to which he belongs, think about their new colony.
According to his mother it is a land of backwards people with dangers around every corner which
was certainly not the case.
A point of contention between critics is the depiction of the horrible torture scenes which illustrates,
one might conceive, the Aboriginals barbarism. In one of the opening scenes, a contingent of
French workers joke about the various ways the Aboriginals torture Jesuit Priests and Frenchmen
alike, not to mention other rival tribes. An example of this barbarism is illustrated when the
survivors of the Iroquois attack go through beating lines to inevitably be tortured by having their
fingers removed surgically with mussel shells. Although these actions are barbaric, they are no
worse than the atrocities that arguably every В‘civilized nation during the time period committed.
This being said, the film seems to make the Iroquois more barbaric than they actually were omitting
the fact that they routinely practiced cannibalism.
It is interesting to observe the camera work whereby in almost all the scenes the Jesuits occupy
higher position than anyone else. This refers to the Jesuits standing over the Aboriginals

Using Raw Data From Oil Fields
Problem Statement
We want to try and develop a material balance equation that tries to give an accurate estimate of
the original gas in place in a coalbed methane reservoir considering the absorbed gases, free gases,
rock compressibility and certain factors that have strong effect on the original gas in place.
Considering so many MBE equations that have been presented by different researchers, we are
going to be using raw data from oil fields to with researchers developed material balance equation
to calculate the OGIP in the reservoir and compare the results to various simulation results to see
the similarities and differences between them.
Methodology
We will be considering G.R king (1993) MBE and E. Firanda Material balance equations and
doing our calculations based on their developed equations. We would be comparing these results
with the result gotten from the finite difference simulator mentioned in king s paper so validate
and see the viability of applying this MBE s to actual reservoirs.
We used the parameters for a 6ft coalbed reservoir stated in kings (1993) and E. Firanda (2011)

cases have been reported in which other body organs are affected with this condition. This form of
cancer is extremely aggressive and often proves deadly if it is malignant Mesothelioma.
Know the Risk Factors
Although quite a few materials can possibly cause this disease, mesothelioma is mainly attributed
to exposure to asbestos as reported by the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry of the
CDC. In addition, Asbestos has been classified by the EPA as a human carcinogen.
According to the CDC (Center for Disease Control and Prevention), exposure to asbestos increases

This exposure affects individuals in different ways. Few factors are involved, including frequency,
concentration and duration of exposure as well as the size, shape and chemical makeup of the
fibers that determine your chances of contracting Mesothelioma.
It is normal to feel concerned about Mesothelioma if you have experienced chronic exposure to
asbestos. Doctors advise that such people should get regular chest x rays or CT scans. They
should also get lung function tests as these tests can spot problems caused by asbestos fibers. If
any problems are detected, you must obtain a professional Mesothelioma diagnosis. In the event of
being diagnosed with Mesothelioma, you have the rights for filing a lawsuit. A Mesothelioma
lawsuit can help you claim imbursement for the additional costs borne in dealing with this disease
as well as for the resulting emotional distress and

The Theory Of Principles For Financial Theory
Karl Gunnar Myrdal was an economist who belongs to Swedish and lived during the year 1988
till 1987. He contributed towards the theory of markets, economic fluctuation and a very efficient
use of the limited resources and got the Nobel Prize for his theories presented. The theory of
principles for Financial Theory profile sets out the principles that the Accounting Standards Board
considers should bring about the research and demonstration of general purpose financial theories
in the field of economics. The basic purpose of articulating such principles is to provide a rational
frame of reference to be used by the Board for the improvement and evaluation of accounting
standards in economics and by others who act together with the Board through the standard setting
procedure. Such a frame of orientation should explain the conceptual foundation of projected
accounting standards and should enable standards to be developed on a steady basis by
decreasing the need to discuss fundamental issues each time a standard is reviewed or established
(Qiyan Wua, 2014). The economic theory is being published because of the knowledge of the
principles should help the users and the preparers of the theories, as well including auditors and
others, to appreciate the Board s line of attack to formulating accounting principles and the nature of
the information mentioned in the general purpose financial theories. Economic theories are a very

Anthrax Is A Disease Of Herbivores And Commonly
Introduction
Anthrax is a disease of herbivores and commonly infects the human through direct contact with the
infected animals or ingests contaminated animal products. The causative agent of anthrax is
Bacillus anthracis, rod shaped, gram positive bacteria and able to form endospore. [1] The spores
of bacillus anthracis could affect both humans and animals through different routes and lead to a
variety of clinical significant. Cutaneous, inhalational and gastrointestinal anthrax are the most well
known diseases caused by bacillus anthracis. The recent Anthrax outbreak in 2009 resulted in
injectional anthrax, an anthrax disease that affects heroin users. [2] In this essay, the main focus is
on injectional anthrax including a briefly description of Bacillus anthracis, the range of symptoms
it may cause when injected into heroin users and the discussion of the methods to inactivate B.
anthracis spores.
Bacillus anthracis
Anthracis belongs to genus Bacillus, rod shaped, gram positive bacteria. Its special characteristic is
their ability to form dormant endospores in response to extreme conditions including nutrient
deprivation and other environmental factors. The spores are antimicrobial and antibiotic resistance
enables the organism to survive and endure in such unfavorable conditions. B.anthracis is an
extremely virulent pathogen and the causative agent of anthrax, the disease in mammal known as
cutaneous, respiratory tract, gastrointestinal anthrax and injectional anthrax

Lego Case Study for
ISM class 5014
How did the information systems and organization diging changes implemented by Knundstorp
align with the changes in business strategy.
The Lego Cast Study is about how the toy company has been affected by the rapid and vast change
in the way children play with toys and their preference of the same. Historically, Lego s have been a
top rated toy for children and when that quickly changed Lego was not expecting it and
furthermore not prepared. The company began to lose money, by 2004, the company found itself
close to extinction, losing $1 million a day. (Saunders Pearlson , 2013) A new CEO, Jorgen Vig
Knudstorp, was hired in an effort to bring the company back to its feet and the Lego toys back ...

This allowed Lego to better serve customers by enhancing their overtaxed order management and
fulfillment systems. (Pearlson Saunders)
At first glance many would discount the idea that Lego deployed a strategy of hyper competition.
However, when we consider some of the characteristics of hyper competition, such as profit
maximization, emphasis on customer satisfaction, and the ability to dynamically adjust allocation
of organizational resources, we see that Lego did adopt a hypercompetitive strategy.
4. What advise would you give Knudstorp to keep Lego competitive, growing and relevant?
I think Knudstorp did an amazing job with coming into Lego and taking a failing business to a
successful one by building a block style work environment. He made standards which the
employees were to follow which allowed them more creative freedom and incentives to want to
improve upon the great quality of their products. One suggestion I would give Knudstorp would
be to spend more time focusing on his competition and to see what Lego could do to model what
has worked for their company and how it would fit in best with Lego. Mattel is Lego s biggest
competition in the market place. Mattel has advanced in the market place due to their new product
development effort. Toy developers are encouraged to think globally from

Essay on Georges Auguste Escoffier
REPORT ON: GEORGES AUGUSTE ESCOFFIER
George August Escoffier, later known simply as Auguste Escoffier, was born on October 28,
1846, in the small village of Villeneuve Loubet, near Nice, in the Provence region of France.
Among the key figures in his life was his father, who worked primarily as a blacksmith, yet also
cultivated tobacco plants. His grandmother, an enthusiastic cook, was perhaps more responsible
than anyone for instilling in young August an appreciation for cooking.
Young Escoffier attended the local school until age 12, upon which time his father thought it
necessary that his son learn a trade. His father took him to Nice, where he would work as an
apprentice in his uncle s restaurant, Le Restaurant Francais.
When ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
It was during this period when Escoffier began publishing his culinary works. He began with Le
Guide Culinaire in 1903, comprised of over 5,000 recipes and garnish preparations. He also wrote
Le Livre Des Menus ( The Book of Menus ), and Ma Cuisine ( My Cuisine ) in 1934.
In 1920, at the age of 73, Escoffier moved back to Monte Carlo with his wife. His intention was to
retire. However, he continued to work, collaborating and consulting on several projects, including
another casino in Upper Monte Carlo. He died in 1935, at the age of 89, only days after the death
of his wife. Escoffier s most noted career achievements are revolutionizing and modernizing the
menu, the codification of of cooking techniques and the organization of the professional kitchen
(Simon, 2001).
I discovered Escoffier when I open Bouchon Bistro Lyonnais, in 1998. I was approached by my
private chef, Thierry Aubert, with a copy of Saveur Magazine, with an article entitled The
Bouchons of Lyon. We traveled to Lyon together, collecting menus from many of the bouchons
in Old Lyon. During that trip I purchased several cook books, one of which was Le Guide
Culinaire. It was in that book that we found most of the recipes for Bouchon s first menu. I have
always been drawn to traditional French cuisine, and this book has been my Bible for years. It was
in this book that I learned about cross utilization of ingredients and sauces. I continue to

Civil War Military Draft
Since the Civil War the United States has been using the military draft to defend the country. The
draft is the reason why the U.S. is the powerhouse it is today. The military draft has been successful
for all the wars we fought, so why stop it now? The Unites States gives its citizens freedom that
most countries don t allow. To ensure the citizens natural rights the United Statescitizens should
show loyalty and be willing to fight when called for duty. An all volunteer army is filled with
citizens from low income households. The minorities in the country fill these positions. The all

Adolf had six siblings and as a child he showed his interest into German nationalism. Which

Where Men Win Glory, Jon Krakauer
Glory. It is an honor that all men, even if they are not aware, strive for. The definition of glory is
different for everyone. To one, glory might mean graduating medical school; to another, it could
mean taking center stage in a play as the applause surrounds her. To Pat Tillman, glory was not
defined as a multimillion dollar NFL contract or millions of adoring fans. It meant following his
upright inner voice and fulfilling his civil obligations. In Where Men Win Glory by Jon Krakauer,
Tillman rejects a successful football career to join the Army after being deeply disturbed by the
September 11, 2011, terrorist attack. I never thought a book with so much war and politics could be
so heart wrenching. Although I did not like the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Krakauer has a straight to the point, concrete writing style. I tend to favor abstract writing with a
great deal of figurative language. I had a hard time finding trope, but My favorite simile in the
book is on page 96. It said, Like a super villain in a Marvel comic book, he seemed to be endowed
with the ability to absorb the mightiest blows his enemy could deliver, draw energy from them,
and become more powerful as a consequence. This quote is comparing Osama bin Laden to a villain
in a comic book because it seemed like no matter what attempts the U.S. made to take him down,
he always came back stronger. If there had been more similes like this, the book would ve been
better. Also, Krakauer s excessive use of acronyms left me feeling frustratingly confused.
Nevertheless, not all is bad about Krakauer s writing technique. I was pleasantly surprised to find
that he included actual entries from Pat Tillman s journal and statements from Tillman s friends and
family. In doing so, Krakauer made me easily connect and empathize with Pat Tillman and his
loved ones. This made a powerful impact on the book and reader.
Despite my previous explanation of what I did not like about the book, the list of what I did like is
more significant. I will admit that I am not an avid reader. For a book to successfully make me feel
heartbroken says a lot. I had never heard of the story of Pat Tillman, so

The Kalam Argument That God Is The Creator Of The Universe
The Kalam argument is the best argument to explain that God is the Creator of the universe. Some
of the major expositors of this argument are Lane Craig, JP Moreland, Groothuis and many others.
This cosmological argument is divided in three sections, the first premise states Whatever begins
has a cause it denies the idea that nothing came out of nothing. In fact, nothing lacks all casual
power, therefore material things should have a cause. Groothuis in his book shares that he does not
conceive the idea that a musician appears in from of him from nowhere. Therefore all beginnings
have to have a cause. The universeis not eternal because it has a beginning. The second premise
claims, The universe began to exist J.P. Moreland gives a philosophical

The Israeli and Palestinian Gaza Conflict Essay
Broad international consensus regarding the political and legal controversies of the Israeli and
Palestinian Gaza conflict has been minimal at best. At its worst it has fueled the controversies
created by the United Nations Fact Finding Mission, through which, both sides maintain their
positions and justification for their actions. In ordered to obtain an opinion on this issue one must
examine the factual historical background of the GazaConflict. By identifying the major legal and
political discrepancies, observing the perspectives of those who defend Israeli actions, and those
who have a strong critique against those actions we can grasp the complexity of this issue and
make an assessment of actions on both sides. In 2005 Israel... Show more content on

International outcry caused the creation of the United Nations Fact Finding Mission on the Gaza
Conflict. This conflict has brought about legal and political controversies pertaining to the use of
force, obligations of Palestinian and Israeli forces to use precaution pertaining to civilian
population and infrastructure, illegality of the blockade, and human rights abuses by Israeli
defense forces which still elude full resolution and clarity. Based on the United Nations Fact
Finding Missions on the Gaza Conflict (aka the Goldstone Report) defenders of Israeli actions
such as Golda Begin would start by arguing that the fact finding mission came in with pre
conceived biases against Israel. Alan Dershowitz believes the fact finding mission is far more
accusatory of Israeli actions, far less balanced in its criticism of Hamas, far less honest in its
evaluation of evidence, far less responsible in drawing its conclusions, far more biased against
Israeli than Palestinian witnesses, and far more willing to draw adverse inferences of intentionally
from Israeli conduct and statements than from comparable Palestinian conduct and statements.
(Dershowitz, pg.1) A common theme in the report is the accusation that Israel instituted military
policies which led to the intentional death of Palestinian civilians. Dershowitz believes that this is
the reason the Goldstone Report chose to ignore

Predicting Performance Of Post Graduate Education From...
Predicting performance in post graduate education from admissions information comparisons of
health professions with pharmacy
Richard E Wilcox, PhD* and Kenneth A Lawson, PhD ABSTRACT
Objectives. The goal of the present review was to assess the state of performance prediction in
health care programs generally, versus performance in pharmacy schools, using didactic and non
didactic admissions measures. This is important because clinical success represents a combination
of skills that are not fully predicted by either type of measure alone.
Methods. PubMed searches were conducted focusing on work published from 2000 onwards,
since it is during this period that non didactic admissions measures have come to be incorporated
into the applicant evaluation process. Relevant papers that were available as free full text were
used. When these papers were not available by direct import into EndNote, we went directly to the
journal to try to retrieve the paper.
Results. Published literature clearly showed that prediction of performance in the didactic portions
of health care programs is straightforward when based on pre health care GPA and achievement test
scores. The best predictions are achieved when both measures are combined. While significant
statistical prediction is achieved in virtually every study, the percent of total performance variance
accounted for is also consistent and uniformly small in the order of 25%. Similarly, there is now an
emerging consensus that

Link between Verbal Fluency and Phonological Short-Term...
Each time a bilingual speaks its brain functions in slightly different ways than that of a monolingual
s. Bilinguals deal with constant dual language activation as they are able to switch between two
sometimes very different languages. The ability to use one language without intrusions from the
other languageis seen as an important topic of study (Van Assche, Duyck, and Gollan, 2013).
However, one of the costs of being bilingual is the reduced exposure to each language. Studies
show that both sequential and simultaneous bilinguals score lower on vocabulary measures than
monolinguals (Rosselli et al., 200 as cited in Kaushankaya, Blumenfeld and Marian, 2011). Strong
evidence for weakened vocabulary performance in bilinguals comes from... Show more content on

Lexical representations are classified for language membership after receiving syntactic properties
(lemmas). This enables the bilingual person to produce language in a selective manner.
Furthermore, bilinguals use task schemas and a Supervisory Attentional System to create, retrieve
and, if necessary to adapt these task schemas. Because bilinguals cannot completely turn off one
language the letter version of the verbal fluency task used in the present study activates twice as
many lexical representations in bilinguals than in monolinguals. This will lead to a greater degree
of competition for activation across languages hence the effect of subject type (Van Assche et al.,
2013). In the present research bilinguals and monolinguals verbal fluency is tested using a classic
letter fluency task. According to the literature bilinguals have a disadvantage in Vocabulary
acquisition that we expect to see manifest in their Verbal Fluency Task scores. Kaushankaya et al.
(2011) were interested in the link between phonological short term memory and vocabulary
development in children and word learning in adults that has been found in previous research
(Gathercole and Adams, 1993,1994; Service and Martin, 1997). For example, adults nonword
repetition performance predicted their ability to learn novel words in a foreign language (Speciale,
Ellis and Bywater, 2004 as cited in Kaushankaya et al.). Similarly, Rosen and Engle (1997) found

The Importance Of Social Class In The Canterbury Tales
What importance does social class have over population as a whole, has it s importance changed
and if it hasn t will it ever change? While reading The Canterbury Tales, many of these questions
were answered before anyones could even create them through the stories of the Prioress, Parsons
and the Knight. For instance, in modern day we place; the rich, famous, and politics in the upper
class. But has that changed over time and do you think that it ever will? Many do believe that
social classdeficiency has changed and that it will not cease to change. Now, whether it s changes
for the better or worse, that s for individuals to decide. In the Middle Ages, social classesconsisted
of about five groups; Royalty, Nobility, Church, Merchants, and Peasantry. As we learned during
the reading, nobility and clergy were for the most part, interchangeable. It becomes evident that
The Canterbury Tales were written about these five groups with stories and lives from each.
Interaction between the social classes wasn t unheard of, but it wasn t a generous interact, if that
makes sense. If and higher class encountered a lower class, then the lower class was almost
always treated as a lower class member. Social classes have changed, but how and why? For
instance, while reading, the Prioress is constantly being shown with an attitude of a higher class
member, That in her cup no single speck was seen of grease, because she drank so neat. (Chaucer
1861) In this it is evident that people

Brazil Independence Movement
Brazilian Economic Booms through History The beginning phase of the economic boom in Brazil
was in 1500. The first exported item that brought outside interest was Brazilian wood. Mainly, it
was logged and exported to Northern Europe for the purpose of creating red dye for textiles. As a
result of the logging industry s rise, metal products for cutting and logging purposes were also high
in demand and often traded. This attracted both Portuguese and French ships in hopes of trading
metal products. This era lasted until 1550. As the logging industry was in high demand, another
agricultural boom was taking place. Sugarcane became the next major export within Brazil. In 1530,

During the time of the coffee boom, another industry was beginning to rise. By the late 1930s,
agricultural industries began to take a back seat to industrialization of the cities. Even as times
were changing however, Brazil remained one of the world s top coffee producers. From 1880
until roughly 1919, the Amazon rain forest became and economic attraction because of its vast
resources of rubber trees. Soon, such large quantities were being exported by Europe that mass
production of the resource took over in other parts of the world by European plantations which
drove the costs down. The British, Dutch and French plantations of Southeast Asia soon took over
the lead in this industry. Within 10 years of the rubber industries decline, the top economic boom
and most self sustaining boom for the country began. In the 1930s industrialization took over as the
major economic force of the nation. As agricultural resources were no longer able to sustain a
totally rural existence, the draw of jobs within factories in the cities brought many new employment
opportunities for farmhands who were left out of work. The industrialization of Brazil and it s
abilities to mass produce items rather than just raw materials changed the face of the Brazilian
economy. The boom continues today with the ability to change farming practices with mechanized
equipment, Brazil has been one of the top food exporters in the

Rhetoric And Rhetoric
There are various models of rhetoric that have been applied in speeches, especially in the political
and social world. For a long time, the world has been exposed to the persuasive model of rhetoric
that has dominated most of the speeches we have had. A different approach to rhetoric has however
not received the attention that it deserves. The rhetoricapproach is called invitational model of
rhetoric. The invitational approach promises to bring more impressive and long term results as
opposed to the traditional model of rhetoric. This essay will examine and compare the traditional
and the invitational models of rhetoric.
Traditional Model of Rhetoric
The artifact identified for purposes of this assignment is titled I have a Dream made by Martin
Luther King in August 1963 at the Lincoln Memorial in Washington. The speech has been
identified as a perfect example of the traditional models of rhetoric that sought to persuade. To
understand this speech completely, it is crucial to understand the setting and the time during which
it was made and who made it. The speech was delivered during the height of the American Civil
Rights Movement that had taken over the whole country. The leader of this movement, civil rights
activists Martin Luther King made the speech in front of a packed crowd that cheered on his every
sentence; they wanted to send a message to the whole of America.
The speech is a good example of a traditional model of rhetoric because of several factors. Firstly,

The Characteristics And Features Of Mutual Funds
1.1General Introduction
The term investment refers to the commitment of funds made with an expectation of some positive
returns. Two essentials aspects of investment are that firstly it involves waiting for returns, and
secondly it involves an element of risk of not getting what is expected of the investment. Basically
investment means purchase of financial asset that yield a return, which is proportionate to risk
assumed over some future period of time.
In finance, investment means buying securities or other monetary or paper (financial) assets in
the money markets or capital markets, or other in fairly liquid real assets, such as good as an
investment, real estate or collectibles with a view to earn some gain over a period of time.

Consequently it is fair to say that to the Jewish people of Jesus time the term Kingdom of God was interpreted as a time when God s rule would be restored through a descendant of David and things would be good again. Macquarrie sums their view precisely when he states, The coming of the Kingdom would mean the judgement of the existing order, the overthrow of all evil and demonic powers and a new order in which God s perfect reign would be manifested. • 15. Electronic Health Records And Health Information Technology In the last decade of USA medical history there have been little to no change in medical errors in regards to improvement of care. Meaningful Use, Electronic Health Records and Health Information Technology are practices and programs that can be possible solutions for this issue. The goals of meaningful use include improving quality, safety, efficiency, and to reduce health disparities, improvecare coordination and ensure adequate privacy and security of personal health information (Hoyt,2014). With meaningful use, there are three stages: stage one begins the process of capturing date and sharing the information. Stage two is advancing the data processing and sharing and building off of the first stage. Stage three is the examination of the outcomes. Meaningful Use is defined under the Center of Medicare and Medicaid (CMS) and is essentially an incentive program through the government to create a health system that is run electronically and provides higher quality of care through technology. Since the goal is to create safer and higher quality through HIT by providing an incentive for EP s to further develop their use of the technology there must be a time line in place in order to know whether the Ep s hitting the requirements. Despite this, the young women in both texts have to deal with family and people in their social circles pressurising them to meet the ideal man or love interest. Each story revolves around the main female characters, Bridget Jones and Elizabeth Bennet. An example of this is when Bridget overhears Mark Darcy talking about her to his mother remarking on how inappropriate her language is and how dependable she is on alcohol and cigarettes. Mother I do not need a blind date. Particularly not with some verbally incontinent spinster who drinks like a fish, smokes like a chimney and dresses like her mother. Indeed, sir, I have not the least intention of dancing. I entreat you not to suppose that I moved this way in order to beg for a partner. Mr Darcy replied with this, when asked if he would like to dance with her. Rendering has been dated all the way back in the 1960s, and American computer graphics director William Fetter was the first to create a computer model of a human body. William Fetter administers the progress development of a computer program as he was attempting to come up with a new process which allowed him to widen the layout efficiency inside Boeing s airplane cockpits. Fetter defines the process by calling it computer graphics . It was one of Fetter s partner, Ivan Sutherland who transformed things in motion in 1963. The graphical communication system name Sketchpad enabled one to interactively create an image on the computer display for the first time. This granted Fetter the ability to create the first ever three dimensional image of the human body through computer graphics. It was called the First Man or also known as Boeing Man . ... • 37. Possible Causes of Silas Deane s Death There are quite a few reasons for Silas Deane s death that historians have come up with after studying his life and the people around him. Though, we will never know which one is truly the correct answer to the mystery of how he died. In 1789, after many years of living alone and unhappily in England Deane finally decided that he would book a passage on a ship sailing to the United States. However, he would never make it back to the states. While trying to wait out a storm that had come up on the Boston Packet Silas Deanebecame ill, he complained that he felt dizzy and had an oppression at this stomach. After studying Silas Deane s life following his death it was discovered that he was very depressed by his poverty, low reputation and poor health. So a rumor was begun that he consequently committed suicide on the Boston Packet sailing back to the United States. One of Silas greatest friends, John Cutting, reported that Deane had prearranged to take an adequate quantity of Laudanum to ensure his dissolution before the ship would dock in America. Thus now this becomes the most likely cause of his death; that Deane, who was extremely depressed, chose to take his life shortly after boarding the ship sailing to America. The only fault that would come to this conclusion is why would Silas go to all that trouble of packing/buying food and supplies for the voyage when he could have just killed himself at his home in England, this now brings us to the last possible cause of his death. Later, we found out that Silas Deane s long time friend Edward Bancroft was double dealing of sorts, Bancroft was a known spy to the Americas but no one knew that he was also a spy for the British as well until British documents from that time were released to the public library; we then learned that Edward Bancroft was on the payroll as a spy for the British. Then several wondered if Deane knew that his long time friend was a double spy, many believed so. After learning more into the friendship of these ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

In fact their mission statement is to provide Christian educational opportunities, facilities, and programs for all ages in an inviting woodland setting; encouraging the formation of Christ centered living, leadership, and stewardship of creation, leading toward wholeness in the kingdom of God (Brethren Woods, 2017). These Christian beliefs are explicit in each camp week as the organization values events including bible study, vespers, and morning watch. They can also be seen in the expectations for employees from the dress code to the housing rules. Brethren Woods also gets much of their funding from Brethren churches surrounding the area. As stakeholders, these churches keep the camp accountable to their values because they do not want to put their money into an organization that does not align with their beliefs. All of these elements of the camp s organizational culture led to the way the handled the problem with their staff. First off, one of the elements of their mission is to form leaders in Christ. With their leaders exhibiting behaviors contrary to these values, something had to be done. Blackrobe Movie Review Essay В‘Black Robe Movie Critique В‘Black Robe is the story of a young Jesuit Priest from France who embarks on a religious journey to convert, to Christianity, the Aboriginal tribes of New France. Set primarily in Ontario during the mid 1630 s, Father Lafargue travels from Quebec via the Ottawa River to the home of the Huron people in what is now referred to as the Simcoe Region of South Central Ontario. During a flashback sequence belonging to the main protagonist Father Lafargue, one can see what the elite of France, to which he belongs, think about their new colony. According to his mother it is a land of backwards people with dangers around every corner which was certainly not the case. A point of contention between critics is the depiction of the horrible torture scenes which illustrates, one might conceive, the Aboriginals barbarism. In one of the opening scenes, a contingent of French workers joke about the various ways the Aboriginals torture Jesuit Priests and Frenchmen alike, not to mention other rival tribes. An example of this barbarism is illustrated when the survivors of the Iroquois attack go through beating lines to inevitably be tortured by having their fingers removed surgically with mussel shells. Although these actions are barbaric, they are no worse than the atrocities that arguably every В‘civilized nation during the time period committed. This being said, the film seems to make the Iroquois more barbaric than they actually were omitting the fact that they routinely practiced cannibalism. Predicting performance in post graduate education from admissions information comparisons of health professions with pharmacy Richard E Wilcox, PhD* and Kenneth A Lawson, PhD ABSTRACT Objectives. The goal of the present review was to assess the state of performance prediction in health care programs generally, versus performance in pharmacy schools, using didactic and non didactic admissions measures. This is important because clinical success represents a combination of skills that are not fully predicted by either type of measure alone. Methods. PubMed searches were conducted focusing on work published from 2000 onwards, since it is during this period that non didactic admissions measures have come to be incorporated into the applicant evaluation process. Relevant papers that were available as free full text were used. When these papers were not available by direct import into EndNote, we went directly to the journal to try to retrieve the paper. Results. Published literature clearly showed that prediction of performance in the didactic portions of health care programs is straightforward when based on pre health care GPA and achievement test scores. The best predictions are achieved when both measures are combined. While significant statistical prediction is achieved in virtually every study, the percent of total performance variance accounted for is also consistent and uniformly small in the order of 25%. However, one of the costs of being bilingual is the reduced exposure to each language. Lexical representations are classified for language membership after receiving syntactic properties (lemmas). This enables the bilingual person to produce language in a selective manner. Furthermore, bilinguals use task schemas and a Supervisory Attentional System to create, retrieve and, if necessary to adapt these task schemas. Because bilinguals cannot completely turn off one language the letter version of the verbal fluency task used in the present study activates twice as many lexical representations in bilinguals than in monolinguals. This will lead to a greater degree of competition for activation across languages hence the effect of subject type (Van Assche et al., 2013). While reading The Canterbury Tales, many of these questions were answered before anyones could even create them through the stories of the Prioress, Parsons and the Knight. For instance, in modern day we place; the rich, famous, and politics in the upper class. But has that changed over time and do you think that it ever will? Many do believe that social classdeficiency has changed and that it will not cease to change. Now, whether it s changes for the better or worse, that s for individuals to decide. In the Middle Ages, social classesconsisted of about five groups; Royalty, Nobility, Church, Merchants, and Peasantry. As we learned during the reading, nobility and clergy were for the most part, interchangeable. It becomes evident that The Canterbury Tales were written about these five groups with stories and lives from each. Interaction between the social classes wasn t unheard of, but it wasn t a generous interact, if that makes sense. If and higher class encountered a lower class, then the lower class was almost always treated as a lower class member. Social classes have changed, but how and why?
