The Great Migration Of Chinese Immigrants In The 19th
Century
Similar to all the other countries in the 19th century, early Chinese immigrants were
pushed by forces in China and pulled by attractions in the United States. These
pushes mainly came from natural disasters, internal rebellious, and imperialistic
aggressions in China. The pulls came from the discovery of gold in Californiaand
different kinds of opportunities in the United States. The push and pull factors
resulted in the great migration of Chinese to the United States.
In the early 1800s, China faced lots of natural disasters. The major ones were
happened in Henan Province in 1847, the flooding of the Yangtze River in the four
provinces of Hubei, Anhui, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. Then two years later, a famine
struck Guangxi. As a result,
The Department Of Alcohol, Tobacco, And Firearms
For our third assignment for Criminal Justices we must answer questions about the
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, U.S. Marshals Service, and U.S. Drug
Enforcement Administration. We must answer the following question: What are the
mission or goal of these agencies? When were they established? Briefly discuss
each of the agencies history. Discuss some of the difference between these agencies.
The first agency is called the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. The mission
for the ATF is a Law enforcement agency in the United State Department of Justice
that protects our communities from violent criminals, criminal organizations, the

of arson and bombings, acts of terrorism, and the illegal diversion of alcohol and
tobacco products . They partner with communities, industries, and public safety
agencies to protect the public they serve through information sharing, training,
research and use of technology. ATF was established on July 1, 1972. The ATF was
formerly part of the United StatesDepartment of the Treasury, which had been
formed in 1886 as the Revenue Laboratory within the Treasury Department s Bureau
of Internal Revenue. ATF is the youngest tax collecting Treasury agency, separated
from the Internal Revenue Service by Treasury Department Order No. 120 1, since 1

Causal Academic Critique And Argument Research
This semester, I learnt many writing skills and tried different type of essays. I wrote
three type of essay, Formal Academic Critique, Causal Analysis and Argument
Research. We started with practicing the technique to summarize and paraphrase the
article. Then we did research practice based on Stand on your Ground . Through
this practice, I learnt how to narrow down my topic, by combing the main topic,
viewpoint and focus aera. This skill is very useful, as it is easier to structure essayin
this way.
I did not know any critique analyze skills before I finish this critique essay. I
criticized The Sexual Misery of the Arab World written by Kamel Daoud. Through the
critique essay writing process, I learnt many new knowledge that helped me to
complete my essay. First, I learnt the difference between summary and critique. Such
as a successful summary restated resources in my own words; present only the main,
or important details; maintain a neutral and objective stance. A successful critique
moves beyond summary; assess or analyze what author want to present; should offer
interpretations and judgments about what I read; give evidence to support my
evaluation. Second, summary and critique do have something in common, such as
both of them should be written in present tense, stated title, author s full name and
formatted in MLA styles. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I analyzed the effects of music downloading on the music industry. I learnt how to
cite sources in APA styles. Before this, MLA styles is the only citation I know. I
learnt that I should indicates the cause and effect pattern and the clear topic in this
type essay s thesis statement. I learnt that I can structure a cause and effect essay in
two ways: Chronological order and emphatic order. Chronological order discusses the
causes and effects in the order that they occur. Emphatic order reserves the strongest
or most significant cause and/or effect until the
Ancient Greece Influence On Modern Society
Some of the greatest aspects of modern society came from Ancient Greece. The
people of Ancient Greece were very creative, and they designed their own buildings
and theatres. They were smart because they established the foundations for
mathematics and philosophy. Ancient Greece influenced sports and the Olympic
games the modern world has today in many ways. Ancient Greeceinfluences in the
areas of philosophy, mathematics, art, architecture, sports, and government had a
profound impact on modern day culture and society.
The people of Ancient Greece laid the foundations for mathematics and philosophy.
Greek philosophers, full of knowledge and wisdom, believed that ordinary humans
could understand the workings of nature. Ancient Greece became known for many
great philosophers. Thales, who lived in a time when Greek mythology was popular,
became known as the first philosopher and the first to consider that there might be
natural explanations to the world Pythagoras, a mathematician and philosopher,
gained notoriety for developing the Pythagorean Theorem. The Pythagorean
Theorem, a well known theorem in geometry classes in the modern world today,
states that the square of the hypotenuse of a right triangle equals the sum of the
squares on the other sides . Aristotle, one of the most influential Greek philosophers
known today, created the idea of the food chain. In this food chain, humans started at
the top and animals such as sharks, birds, dogs, insects, and worms followed
Forrest Gump Historical Perspectives
Forrest Gump is a film based on a 1986 novel of the same name by Winston Groom
and produced by Robert Zemeckis. The film portrays several decades in the life of
Forrest Gump, a slow witted, naГЇve but goodhearted man from Greenbow, Alabama.
Gump witnesses these events and in some cases influences these events to happen
(Wikipedia 1). In the midst of the film Jenny Curan, her childhood friend and lover,
appears throughout the film also taking part in some of these events. Forrest Gump
revises popular memories of the 1960 s and 1970 s through its representations of
history (Wang 92). Gump takes place in many comical but important historical events
along with Jenny, such as, the Hippie Movement, the Vietnam War, and the Ping
Pong Diplomacy. To begin with, the Hippie Movement occurred during the mid 1960
s. The Hippie Culture emerged mainly among the youth population and their number
one belief was their anti sentiments towards the Vietnam War. Hippies were known
for the type of music they listened to, their way of dressing, their openness to sexual
revolution and for the use of marijuana, LSD and shrooms .... Show more content on

Meanwhile, in recovery Forrest discovers he is a prodigy of ping pong. He then
begins playing with the U.S Army team and is then sent to play against the Chinese.
Zemeckis demonstrates a clear parallel to the term Ping Pong Diplomacy. This term
comes from when the Chinese invited the American ping pong team to play in
Japan, for the World Table Tennis Championship in Beijing (Berkowitz 40). The U.S
gave its approval, since the President did want to improve relations with Communist
China (Berkowitz 40). Soon enough it was agreed that the American table tennis
team would also be used for foreign affairs. Many people do not know that the Ping
Pong Diplomacy was in fact something true that occurred in the 1970 s. The film
successfully altered the Ping Pong Diplomacy in an entertaining
What Are President Elton s Major Accomplishments
Elton was born March 25th in 1947. He was born in the UK in a town called
middlesex. He was raised in Pinner and was educated here. At the age of 17 Elton
left to pursue his career in music. Elton was introduced to music early on in life
because both of his parents were musically inclined, Elton even started playing
piano at the age of 3. In fact his dad played in a band that was a semi professional
band. Fun fact, Elton s favorite kind if music was Rock and Roll. At the age of 7
he decided to take formal classes for piano. Here he would compose melodies.
Eventually, at the age of eleven, elton would win a junior scholarship to an academy
called Royal Academy of music. He would attend classes at the Academy every

Your Song became his first hit single. Soon after his album reached number four on
the US billboard 200 and number five in the UK. In August of 1970 Elton John had
his first concert in Los Angeles and of course it was a Success because he is
amazing. Also, in October of 1970 the concept album called Tumbleweed
connection was released and it reached number five in the US. Elton would continue
releasing album and most of them reached number 4 or above. In fact, the first
album to reach number one was one he released in 1972 called Honey ChГўteau .
The album contained two hit singles called Rocket Man and Honky cat . A few
more albums Elton Released are Don t shoot me I m only the piano player which
was released in 1973 and the hit song from that album was Crocodile Rock which
was actually his first US Billboard Hot 100 number one. Later in October of 1973
he released Goodbye yellow brick road which had a hit song called Bennie and the
Jets . Elton John also formed his own label and named it the Rocket Record
Company. Now let s jump to 1976 when John recorded a live album named Here
and There which was released in may. Later he would release an album called Blue
moves . Elton s biggest success of 1976 was one of his songs called Don t go
breaking my heart which is the best song to jam out to. Don t go breaking my heart

release an album called Made in England in 1995. He also released an
College Vs. High School
Coming into English 102 I assumed it would be extremely easy and it would be
similar to high school English. This was correct, it consistent mainly of writing
papers and a few assignments where we had to read something then write about it.
As a result of this I believe I did not take the course as serious as I needed to.
However along the way I learned multiple useful concepts that will be beneficial to
my continuance of college.
College and high school are not as different as people make them seem, the only
difference is I am paying for one and not the other. With both being similar I
maintained bad habits I had in high school such as procrastinating, incorrect form
use, lack of proofreading and using resources available for my benefit. A great
example of this was my college English class. Throughout the semester we were
given multiple assignments to which I waited tilt the night before or the week before
to complete. This was the first habit I needed to break.
Waiting to the last minute to write my English papers is one of my big regrets form
this semester. I learned it is tiresome and when a person rushes on a paper it is more
likely to sound like their rushing on a paper. My papers consisted of misplaced
words, grimace errors, tense errors, and unorganized flow. As I continued to go
through this class I learned writing my paper ahead of time would make it sound
much better. Each and every time I procrastinated I forgot to proofread.
Proofreading is one of the most
The French Republic Of France
The French Republic of France is located in Western Europe. It s history dates back
as far as Julius Caesar and the Romans. One could easily write a lengthy paper simply
addressing the history of France. Just looking at the last 5 centuries for France alone,
one could fill books with the information. Between the wars of Religion in the late
15th century, the Enlightenment and Reign of Napoleon during the 18th Century,
and the World Wars of the 19th century, France
has experienced monumental changes
becoming the country that it is today. France as it is known today did not adopt its
current constitution until 1958. The government of France is a unitary semi
presidential constitutional republic. This governmental system is very similar to that
of the United States the only difference being the existence of a Prime Minister and
a Cabinet which both compliment the President. Other parliamentary systems such
as India, Japan merely elects a President as more of ceremonial head of State.
However the French President actually works with some power (Hou, Stephen). The
President is the head of the armed forces and actually has control over France s
nuclear deterrents. The president is also in charge of selecting the nine members of
France s constitutional council, which then decide the constitutionality of some laws
(The Local). The Prime Minister is more so in charge of determining policy and
general direction that the country will take. The official language and most widely
Reflective Speech About God
Heavenly Father, I have been feeling overwhelmed and anxious lately; I feel like I
have so much to do and not enough time or resources to get them done. I am facing
situations that make me feel small and incapable. Today Lord, I humbly come to
you and lay all my anxieties at your feet because I know you care for me. I claim
that promise and hold it close to my heart. Father, I know that I cannot change
anything in my life by being stressed and worried. So today I proclaim your peace
that cannot be found in the world over my life. You Lord are the Prince of Peace and
I call on the name of Jesus to cast out every spirit of anxiety, fear, and worryin my
life. Your word says that you would keep in perfect peace if my mind is stayed on
you and I trust in you. The next time I find myself getting overwhelmed by the
stress of this world, I ask for the strength of your spirit to help me stay focused on
you. I thank you Father because I know that your peace that surpasses all
understanding will guard my heart and mind. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen. About a
month ago, this is the prayer that I found myself repeating over and over again
each night. I have, and probably always will be a perfectionist and a chronic
worrier. I stay constantly stressed out about any and everything. I don t just worry
about things in my own life, I even worry about things in my friend s and family s
lives that they don t even worry about themselves. I know that I put too much
pressure on myself to have
The Iran-Contra Scandal
Introduction
The Iran Contra Scandal occurred on the (insert specific dates) in the midst of the

No one can say that North is unpatriotic. Even Representative Lee Hamilton, the
opposition for his trial, said I do not have any doubts at all, Colonel North, that you
are a patriot. There are many patriots in the country and many forms of patriotism.
For you, patriotism rests in the conduct of deeds, some requiring great personal
courage, to free hostages and to fight communism. Even President Reagan himself
stated that [Oliver North] has proven to be an outstanding American patriot in a 1985
letter. North will do anything to protect his country, his beloved America. He even
carried suicide pills on a mission to Tehran in case he was captured; he announced his
willingness to die for his country. All actions taken by North during the Iran Contra
Affair was undertaken to defend the United States.
Furthermore, Oliver North was legally fulfilling his ambition of protection because
he was only following instructions handed down by his superiors. There is no
criminal intent in his actions, only a need to defend his country. President Ronald
Reagan stated that he wanted to keep the contras going body and soul . He wanted to
keep the Contras together as a fighting force in the field until Congress resumed
funding and to keep them together as a viable political opposition.
Additionally, North was only following the chain of command. Orders originated

In these organizations, managers rely on instant information to deliver mass
customized products and services uniquely suited to the targeted markets. The
decentralized structure allows the managers to persuade informal commitments and
networks to establish goals. In these kinds of organizations, managers appeal to the
knowledge, learning, and decision making of individual employees to ensure proper
operation of the firm. Once again, Information technology can perform these
activities in the best manner. High usage of Internet since the mid 1990s caused
significant organizational redesign and has contributed the emergence of new
phenomenon Digital Firm. This is the fourth factor of environmental change which
forced companies to introduce new information technology, and can be described as
the firm where the most processes are enabled digitally, as well as relationship with
customers, employees and suppliers. This is flattened organization where, any
information required could be gained any time, anywhere in the firm. The level of
technology in such firm enables the managers to sense and respond to its customers

rather it is the core of the business and primary management tool.

The Realm Of Sociology, By George Herbert Mead
In the realm of Sociology, the study of social behavior is deeply explored. Social
life, social change, social causes and consequences are what makes us all human.
Psychologically and sociologically, we are all different. Each individual has different
characteristics and personalities. Society has its way of organizing people who share
the same similarities typically by their cultural (or ethnic) identities, gender identities,
class identities, and so forth. According to George Herbert Mead s classic text, Mind
Self and Society, he stated that those identities are established through interaction
with people. They are produced through agreement, disagreement, and negotiation
with other people. We adjust our behavior and our self image based... Show more

The majority of people perceive members towards a certain group. The perceiving
of one person based on their appearance, behavior, race, gender, and etcetera are
considered stereotypes. Labels and stereotypes are a huge issue in society today.
Especially those who are labeled by targeted groups by the larger society. Labels
can be applied to anything. Be it positive or negative. Even though it is a natural
human reaction, but when taken to extremes it can have a negative consequence.
Those reactions are want we call deviance. The word deviance itself does not have
simple definition. The most useful explanation would be: one who does not conform
to the norm or behaviors, thoughts, or attributes to which some people react
negatively or would react relatively if they know about it. (Goode 1994) Another
definition would be: an individual or organizational behavior that violates societal
norms and is usually accompanied by negative reactions from others. Sociologist S.
Becker, stated that it is not the act itself that makes an action deviant, but rather how
society reacts to it. Though not always people do react negatively. It many not seem
deviant to some people, though may certainly be deviant to others. Basically when
people react disapprovingly towards something, that something is deviant. When
society does not approve someone s deviant behaviors, thoughts or attributes they will

The Incident Command system refers to a management system which contains
various system features or attributes. Due to these functions, ICS holds the
adaptability and flexibility to be applied to an array of incidents both large and small.
Therefore, these features can be used to strengthen the Emergency Management Plan
(EMP). Features like management by objective and unity and chain of command
ensure that EMP develops clear and attainable objective for disaster management.
Developing alternative means of communication to manage and control disaster
response efforts effectively, ensures timely response actions are employed. These

year nineteen hundred and eleven, over one hundred and forty workers lost their lives
in the deadliest factory fire in American history, when a fire destroyed the Asch

Manhattan, New York City, New York (osha.gov, 2011). The fire killed mostly young
women, some of them as young as fifteen, who were paid only six dollars a week at

This commission helped usher in much needed changes on the labor side, which
after a few years developed into the New York State Department of Labor
(aflcio.org, 2017). The fire also helped fire departments not only in New York City,
but all over the Nation at that time, make changes to how they operate. The
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), which was founded in eighteen
ninety six, declared at its annual meeting right after the fire, to all departments
nation wide, how important fire drills were to life safety (Teague Farr, 2009). A
few years later the NFPA formed the Committee on Safety to Life to help with fire
codes, regulations and departments. Several years after its development, they adopted
revised specifications to fire escapes, and worked on specific regulations to exits to
buildings and the Building Exit Codes (Teague Farr, 2009). All of their work helped
bring items like fire drills, egress from buildings, sprinklers, fire escapes, and other
building code changes. Fire Departments all over the Nation were also helped and

The Current Indian Laws On Child Labor
What are the current Indian laws on child labor and how are they followed? On
December 11, 1992, India endorsed the Convention on the Rights of the Child but
did not agree to one clause that declared children, fourteen years of age and
younger, to be protected by the law to not engage in hazardous working conditions.
The convention was open for ratification in 1898 and mapped out basic necessary
rights for children under the age of eighteen. These are a few of the rights India
ratified: the right to education, the right to information, the right to nutrition, the
right to health and care, the right to protection from abuse, the right to protection
from exploitation, the right to development, and the right to survival. India has
also created a law in 2006 that banned the use of child labor for domestic purposes
and in the hospitality industry (Clifford, 2011). The legal age is fourteen years of
age for children to work but that law is not strictly followed. A number of children
are recruited into industries at ages as young as six years old. The table on the
above page represents the percentage of children, from seven to fourteen, who are
child laborers. NGO, or Non Governmental Organizations, are groups of people who
stand up for social justice and sustainable development and human rightswho are not
a part of the government (NGOs India, n.d.). These organizations go around India and
try to find the employers that still hold children under the age of fourteen as
Effect Of Candle Light On Candles
Today, I will be testing the effect of candle light in a room that has no other light
sources. While doing this I will observing the effect of low light on cast shadows
as well as the effect of candle light on walls. In addition, I be observing the shift in
the intensity of light when adding two candles and later three candles. Before this I
will be describing the candle in order to make sense of some of my observation in
relation to the colorof the candle and how that effects the lightit emits. The candle
itself gives of an intense fragrance of apple cinnamon in tandem with its rich color of
deep red, it is placed in a glass container that is similar in size to a 8 ounce glass. For
this exercise I have chosen to place the candle on the ground in a dark corner of the
hallway. The space has various objects lining the walls, and a few items on the floor
as well. The color of the walls are a lemon yellowand in the darkness its color is faint
and is more reminiscent of a gray. I place the candle on the ground and it creates a
immediate ring of light around its self, the color of the light contains a tint of red and
the effect is creating a halo around the candle. Although, surrounding the candle s ring
of light, a darker tone represents the shadow of the candle itself. This initial ring of
light on the ground creates the sense of movement in the candlelight by moving in an
out mimicking, a camera lens opening and closing. Looking around the room, I notice
the candle light
Erik Erikson s On Golden Pond
Erik Erikson has developed the psychosocial theory that proposes eight stages
across the life span of human development. Each and every one of the stages has a
crisis , a significant psychosocial topic that is important in that moment. The
theories are deliberately having an impact on by social and cultural influence a
process of development of the ego and self. According to Erikson, the ego develops
as it successfully resolves crisis that are distinctly social in nature. These involves
establishing a sense of trust in others, developing a sense of identity in society, and
helping the next generation prepare for the future. (McLeod 2008, p. 1) In this
paper I will be talking about each of the main characters in the movie, On Golden
Pond and what they all go through to a crisis of psychosocial development using
Erikson s theory. In the movie each of the main characters, Norman who is eighty
years old, Ethel who is seventy years old and Chelsea who is forty years old go
through some of the stages of psychosocial development. The first character in the
movie I will be talking about is Norman. I recognized him first from the movie
because I knew something seemed wrong with him. For example, in the beginning
of the movie him and his wife Ethel goes to their vacation spot and he sees a picture
of them and doesn t recognize who the people are. His wife had to remind him that it
was them in the picture. He is very forgetful and it seems that his mental is not as
strong as it
How Is Onomatopoeia Used In Huckleberry Finn
Literary Term #6: Onomatopoeia
Onomatopoeia: A word whose pronunciation is the same as the sound it represents.
Example: Boom! I see the white smoke squirt out of the ferryboat s side. You see,
they was firing cannon over the water, trying to make my carcass come to the top
(37). Twain, Mark. The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn. New York: Bantam Dell,
2003.Print.
Function: This use of onomatopoeia represents a significant change in the story
because, at this moment in the story, Huckleberry Finn is pretending to be dead. The
people of the town are using cannons to find his corpse, but will not find it because
Huckleberry Finn is not actually dead. The boom of the cannon represents how the
novel will take a turn into an entirely new direction
Sweater Weather Analysis
Very few songs retain the inimitable aptitude to tell a story, let alone create a
platform in which the central idea of that story is juxtaposed between the lofty
heights and the crushing depths of the presence and absence of that idea. Unlike
most of its contemporaries, Sweater Weather by The Neighbourhood, tells its own
story that of a fleeting romance, and provides a stage to contrast the facets of love
that are both exalted and despised. The Neigbourhood s Sweater Weather, utilizes a
unique mix of quick paced music and clever lyrics to create an atmosphere in which
the evanescence of love can be examined and by extent scrutinized. The music
possesses a unique ability of conveying the message of how quick and tragic love
can be. The... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The lyrics of the main body of the song are rapid and roll off the tongue as lead
singer Jesse Rutherford swiftly rattles off the lines, creating an enveloping sense
of the lust that is present at the beginning of a relationship. However, as the song
progresses, Rutherford s poignant vocal talents seep through as the song becomes
less of a praise of love and more of a lamentation of it, and the deep scars it leaves
behind as it comes to a close. The beginning of the song is riddled with
juxtapositions like, Head in the clouds but my gravity s centered which provide a
unique insight into two component of love, the pure ecstasy of lust coupled with
the grounding force of complacency and reality that cements the relationship. While
the lyrics often exalt the conquest of love, as it evolves the song provides a
evocative lamentation of that lost in the pursuit of love. The lyrics become darker
and more cacophonous, shifting from the upbeat, The goose bumps start to raise to,
it too cold, it s too cold. The protracted feeling that creeps into Rutherford s voice
conveys a demeaning view of that lost, and leaves a lasting impression of
hopelessness that persists long after the song finishes. While simple syntactically, the

Cinderella By Jacob And Wilhelm Grimm
Our society as a whole has been built upon the strength of the written word and the
power of stories, being the cause of our religions, wars, and laws. Fairytales are no
different. They have taught morals, encouraged human creativity, and inspired
generations of the written craft. Fairytales were important to societies of the past
and the ones of modern day. As of current days, we define morals as a lesson,

The Future In The Pedestrian By Ray Bradbury
Have you ever wondered what the future will be like? The Pedestrian a short story
written by Ray Bradbury takes place in 2053, the future. The main character Mr.
Leonard Mead is a non conformative man who goes against the rules of the society
in which he lives in. Ray Bradbury accurately predicted the use of technology in our
society in the short story The Pedestrian because it is very relatable and similar to
our society. Bradbury s use of imagery tells us what he predicts the futurewill be like.
Ray Bradburydescribes how Mr. Mead walks and never meets anyone, for thousands
of miles he had never met another person walking not even in ten years (Bradbury
98). This is very comparable to our society with the development of technology,
which deters people from exercise and other good things. Mr. Mead never meets
anyone because he is the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
A study by Time Heathland and MSNBC studied the effects of TV. The findings
suggest that too much TV is a detrimental to longevity as smoking and lack of
exercise (Time Health). In Bradbury s society everybody was inside watching TV,
which is destructive to society as shown by the study. Mr. Mead was walking one
night as he normally does and he was stopped by a dark voice. Stand still stay
where you are don t move... (Bradbury 98). It was the police who stopped him from
walking. Through clever and effective syntax Bradbury does not tell the readers, but
expresses very indirectly that if humanity advances to greatly in technological
aspects, then mankind may be led to its demise. The police car represents the society
very conformed and dark. One theme that Bradbury wants to get across is that one
man can stand up and influence a society for the better, which is Mr.
Watchtowers Research Paper
Wikipedia lists all the different things that are considered Watchers , Watchtowers ,
or Guardians . Wikipedia goes on to break down the Watchtowers into different
pantheons and even to their coordinating colors. In Richard Cavendish s book, The
Powers of Evil5, he listed the Watchers as the fallen angels that magicians call forth
in ceremonial magic. He mentions that the Watchers were so named because they
were stars, the eyes of night . According to Minnie Eerin in the Student Resources

water, air, fire and earth. However, the Watchtowers can also be considered the four
quarters such as north, south, east and west2. And according to E.A. Koetting3, the
Watchtowers can also be called by their angelic administrators. These are all great

Essay On Working Conditions In The 1800s
Eric Humphrey During the progressive era one major problem that was fixed were
the working conditions. The working conditions in the 1800 s were very poor. For
example one aspect that was an issue for the people was the pay. The pay was very
low. The low pay caused about 40 percent of working class families to live in
poverty. Another issue was that working conditions were extremely dangerous ,
for example because of the lack of safety laws, the triangle shirtwaist factory and
many other workplaces resulted in tragedies. An additional issue that troubled the
people were children working for long hours with little pay. The resolution to this
problem was labor laws. The second issue that was solved during this era was
consumer protection. For example during this time the food was very unsafe.

His book resulted in the creation of the FDA. The book he wrote was titled The

what allows human beings to have free will. He thinks that being conscious of
imagining and noticing the different consequences of situations allow you to know
the different possible futures that might come about from the actions we do that
allow us to choose our path. For Sartre, being observant of the world allows us to
take a step back from our lives and view it in a different type of lens. This opens up
a distance between our consciousness and the rest of the physical aspects in the
world. Free will is the ability to choose from choices that allow the action to
creatively determine by the conscious mind. Libertarianism rejects that they are
innocent because everything that we do as humans are our own free will and we will
always be responsible for what we do as people. Sartre agrees with this argument
stating that human consciousness can withdraw itself from any existing situation to
seek a future that does not exist, so humans are not determined by any existing
situation but
Aflac Case Study
Abstract
The HR practices of Aflac were examined in the context of its effect on employee
satisfaction. In 2015, Aflac made the list of 100 best companies to work for as it has
done for the past ___years.
The team examined the benefits provided to the employees and the workplace
culture at Aflac in order to determine why the organization enjoyed a low rate of
employee turnover and why surveys showed that its employees were highly satisfied
with working at Aflac.
Aflac strives to deliver quality services to its 4,500 employees while staying
competitive in the insurance market (Reed, 2015). The team determined that part of
the employee satisfaction resulted from Aflac s decision to not lay off its employees

Essay about Snapple Case Study
Snapple Case Study
Despite the fact that many small startup premium fruit drink companies stayed
small or even disappeared during the period from 1972 to 1993, Snapple was able
to flourish. A large part of Snapple avoiding the fate of these other companies can be
attributed to how successful it was in utilizing the four Ps of marketing, especially
product and promotion.
Of the four Ps, the marketing mix typically starts with the product, which is one area
where Snapple separated itself from competitors. The product not only entails the
physical unit but also, among other factors, its package, warranty, after sale service,
brand name, company image, and value. Snapple prides itself on being 100% natural.

Snapple also sponsored the radio programs of two highly outspoken men, Howard
Stern and Rush Limbaugh, who promoted Snapple s various products on air.
Finally, price is what a buyer must give up in order to obtain a product. It is often
the most flexible of the four Ps. Although not explicitly stated in the case study, I
know from further research that Snapple isn t significantly cheaper or more
expensive than substitute products. The average sixteen ounce bottle of Snapple is
$1.50, which is comparable to what one would pay for an Arizona iced tea or a bottle
of Coca Cola. A significant advantage was not gained in this area.
In order for Mike Weinstein to regain the level of success that Snapple once enjoyed,
he needs to make a serious effort to return Snapple to its roots. First and foremost he
needs to reestablish the public relations and advertising strategies the company once
used. Weinstein should reach out to Howard Stern, Rush Limbaugh, and Wendy
Kaufman to again promote Snapple s products. He needs to communicate to them
how instrumental they would be in returning Snapple to its former status among fruit
drink companies. If he can t get these individuals on board, then Weinstein needs to
find suitable replacements that have similar personalities to the aforementioned
spokespersons. In addition, because today s society is so reliant on technology, he
should advertise Snapple products through various social media.

Romanians will go to the utmost extreme of providing extravagant food,
entertainment, and ceremonies. Before the wedding, the groom will visit the
house of the bride to bring her to the place where the wedding will be held. All of
the many people involved in the wedding then proceed in their cars to the wedding.
Typically, they will drive leisurely and will honk at pedestrians to cheer for the
couple. Once the procession reaches the place of the wedding, which will usually
be an Orthodox church, the priest will lead the people into the main auditorium for
the ceremony. The ceremony itself, which is comprised of the priest blessing the
couple, reading from the Bible, and singing, could take up to three hours. After the
ceremony, the couple drinks from the same glass of wine and eat the same piece of
bread to symbolize unity. After the couple is unified, they proceed to visit the
numerous pictures of Jesus and the saints and kiss them. Once the entire ceremony is
over, the bride and groom normally take their guests to a restaurant of some sort to
have refreshments and entertainment. Some weddings go as far as buying fireworks
and lighting them after midnight symbolizing the first day of being married. This
time of refreshing and entertainment could last between a weekend and a whole
week. The final tradition that is most prominent in Romanian culture is funerals.

Wisconsin Fast Plant Life Cycle
Stage six happens on days nine through thirteen. This is the stage when Fast Plants
will begin to develop the buds for flowers on its tip, or shoot meristem. Stage seven is
on days fourteen through seventeen, and in this time the Wisconsin Fast Plants
flowers will bloom, and pollination may occur.
Stage eight occurs on days eighteen through twenty. During this time, seed pods will
develop. The final stage is stage nine, which occurs on days twenty one to forty.
This will be when the Fast Plant begins to wilt and die, and its seed pods will begin
to become dry and eventually and await planting. Then the entire life cycle will begin
all over again.

By this I mean that both stars and Wisconsin Fast Plants take an element that is not
solid or liquid and turn it into something else. Wisconsin Fast Plants breathe in
nitrogen and turn it into oxygen, and stars take hydrogen and turn it into helium.
Likewise is another similarity, although this one counts only for Fast Plants and
average sized stars: both will die if they run out of that element they convert, by
which I mean that if Wisconsin Fast Plants run out of nitrogen, they will die, as not
having any nitrogen is like not having any oxygen for us; they wouldn t be able to
breathe and would die due to lack of nitrogen. The same goes for average stars: if
they didn t have any hydrogen, they d die, and they convert
Child Development Reflection
The moment I glanced at my schedule, I immediately knew that something was
wrong. The classes that I had planned for, that I had spent hours interrogating
upperclassmen about, were not all there. My carefully planned out future was swiftly
and harshly brought to an end with the final statement at the bottom of my
supposedly new schedule All schedules are final, and will only be considered if the
student has been placed in a classwith a repeat credit.
Two years ago, my school administrators placed me in a semester class that I did
not sign up for titled Child Development. With over two thousand schedules to
consider, it was not a major surprise that some of them had gotten messed up along
the way. However, I was shocked that something like this would ever have
happened to me. How on earth could the classes that I wanted to take be
overlooked? How dare they do this to me. I immediately requested a schedule
change. When the change was denied I was appalled. I was going to be forced to
take a class that I didn t know much about. It seemed like every force in the world
was against me. There was nothing that I wouldn t have done to get out of that class.
The first day of the second semester seemed to drag by until I was finally in the last
place that I wanted to be, Child Development. I walked into the class with a horrible
attitude and an absolute assurance that I was going to hate every aspect of the class.
And yet, I didn t. As the semester progressed, I was drawn in by
The Rwandan Genocide Of Rwanda
Starting on April 6, 1994, Hutus started butchering the Tutsis in the African nation of
Rwanda. Lasting 100 days, the Rwandan Genocide left approximately 800,000 Tutsis
and Hutu sympathizers dead. To understand this act horrible against the Tutsi
population, one most be aware of key historical factors that lead to increase in tension
between the Tutsi and Hutu. At the point when Rwanda was initially settled, the
general population who lived there raised cows. The general population who claimed
the most cattle were called Tutsi and other people was called Hutu. During time
period, individuals could without much of a stretch change classification through
marriage or cattle acquisition. Considering Tutsi and Hutus speak the same language,
inhabit the same areas, and follow the same tradition. It wasn t until Europeans came
to colonize the zone that the expressions Tutsi and Hutu tackled a racial part. During
these time, Belgium colonists believed that Tutsi s had more European physical
futures and where in this manner a more prevalent race. Furthermore, the Belgium s
distributed identity cards which stated whether you were of Hutu or a Tutsi ethnicity.
Tutsi s welcomed the Belgium s idea and for a prolonged timeframe were given better
social, economical and political opportunities, such as higher political voice, better
job opportunists, and better education. Despite the fact that Hutus consisted of the
vast majority of the population compared to Tutsis. This

Cirque Du Soleil
a) Background and Motivation
The Cirque du Soleil, the arguably most famous circus in the world, has been
founded in 1984, in Quebec, Canada. The two initiators of this company, Guy
LalibertГ© and Daniel Gauthier, have always seen circus with a modern eye.
Effectively, their power of creativity and their visionary ideas have been the key
ingredients to make this circus a global empire. The comparative advantage which
makes the Cirque du Soleil so unassailable is its creative inspiration and the perfection
of its shows.
The particularity of the business model of Cirque du Soleil is to create demand all
around the world on the circus market. The strength of this circus is to develop shows
which are different than the ordinary; for example ... Show more content on

At the end, we assume that they almost signed a complete contract which should
avoid any kind of hold up. On the other hand, we have the contract with MGM. It
took about one yeariii for MGM and the Cirque to agree on the terms of a contract for
a residential show. Here, the time was clearly too short to get close to perfect
foresight, description and communication in the contract which means that the
contract was incomplete. At the end, both conditions for a hold up were fulfilled with
MGM: Relationship Specific Investment and incomplete contract. While Cirque du
Soleil always insisted on having the creative force for all productions, MGM Mirage
and Disney had very high initial relationship specific investments by building huge
theaters. However, neither company feared opportunism nor has there been an
attempt to vertically integrate Cirque into either company.
Now that we have seen that a hold up was possible with the Cirque s partner, let s
see if we might have such problems within the company (internal hold up).
Actually, it s possible that the employees hold up the firm: When they decide to
produce a new show, the Cirque has to invest in order to train the artists and once
they are trained, they could ask for a higher salary. We could also argue that the
Cirque could hold up the employee because once he is trained, his knowledge is
very specific to only one show and cannot be used by any other circus. At the end, we
see that
The Effects Of Television On Today s Society
Television has greatly evolved since the 1950s, and has become a part of most
American households over the years. Today s society has turned to television for a
variety of purposes including; entertainment, intellectual growth, and as a way to stay
updated with what is going on in our society. While these seem like all positive
aspects that have come with the progression of television, there are also negative
components that have a direct affect on today s society. Therefore this paper will
discuss the growth of television in America, as well as the negative components that
contribute to undesirable behaviors that occur in the American society today. When
the television first was introduced to the public, society was much different.
Technology was something that was still rather new, as the radio was one of the
biggest ways of receiving information, and not many could afford a television.
Families that were fortunate enough to purchase a television would use it to listen to
the news, and watch entertainment through means of variety shows with the family.
In fact, one of the most memorable events in television during that time was when
President Roosevelt was seen on television for the first time in history (Edgerton, 13).
Reversely today, humans not only use television much more frequently, but now we
depend on it. Instead of television being used strictly as means of relaying
information and for family entertainment, today s television is full of inappropriate
Load Optimum Mpls Routing With Routers And Links
Load Optimum MPLS Routing with Routers and Links (N+M)
ABSTRACT:
MPLS is now a days the most important thing in the intra domain routing (i.e.
routing in own domain or network). The main advantage of MPLS is the
flexibility it offers towards traffic engineering ex. To support higher demand
without overloading any links. Most of the major vendors are now offering MPLS
routers and many ISPs are deploying MPLS in their IP backbone as well as in
ATMs and frame relays. Because of this increase in transition to MPLS we are
required to increase our knowledge towards the importance and limitations of MPLS.
Mitra and Ramakrishna from GLOBECOM 99 has showed optimum routing

It can provide applications like Traffic Engineering, Quality of Service and Virtual
Private Networks. The packets in MPLS are directed through the network based
on an assigned label. The label is associated through the network with an assigned
path which allows a higher level of control on the packets than in packet switched
networks. MPLS routing allow differing QoS characteristics and priorities to be
assigned to particular data flows. Traffic Engineering explains the optimization of
fundamental abilities of the network [2]. Traffic Engineering is the process of
controlling how traffic flows through ones network so as to optimize resource
utilization and network performance [3]. It is performed by detouring the traffic to
paths that are lightly loaded in order to balance the load amongst the paths as per the
various calculated metrics. These can be divided as two types. They are state
dependent and time dependent. Both of them are focused to balance the traffic so
that they can avoid the congestion. State dependent policies change the traffic in
short time scale depending on different metrics calculated both online and offline of
the present traffic and the time dependent policies engineer it based on long time
scaling. Both these methods aim to balance the traffic so as to avoid the congestion.
The problem that we face while using previous MPLS routing solutions is that
Gothic Elements Of Gothic
The Gothic genre is a product of the Romantic era and is believed to have started with
Horace Walpole s The Castle of Otranto in the late eighteenth century; the popularity
of the genre continued throughout the nineteenth century and still has influence in
modern times, as evident in Charlotte BrontГ« s Jane Eyreand the film adaptation of
The Turn of the Screw : Jack Clayton s 1961 The Innocents . Gothic literature and
cinema are famously known for their staple elements present in almost every text.
Some of the most notable features of these texts are the supernatural, isolation, and
women in distress. These elements are, arguably, what makes Gothic fictionso unique.
In particular, these details create an overall suspenseful and otherworldly
atmosphere, they also aid the story to reach its climax. BrontГ« s Jane Eyre and
Clayton s The Innocents are examples of these Gothic features working together to
create an enigmatic and theatrical story. Jane Eyre follows the story of an orphan
governess who, by fate, becomes romantically entangled with a wealthy gentleman
who has dark secrets. Similarly, The Innocents also observes the narrative of a plain
governess who is employed to take care of strange children who live in a grand house
full of mystery and concealment.
The most famous element of Gothic fiction is the supernatural. When thinking about
the Gothic genre, many are familiar with the occult driven storylines of Stoker s
Dracula and Shelley s
Analysis Of A Plea For The Oppressed
To be a woman meant that one had no say in regards to political affairs or in
government making decisions. If being a woman had limitations, imagine what a
black woman experienced, as they were considered less than human and mistreated
more than any other female from any different background. In A Plea for the
Oppressed , Lucy Stanton, one such black woman, tried to avail her people s plight
upon an audience of white women, to support the antislavery and reform cause.
Lucy Stanton was born a free women and raised by John Brown, an abolitionist.
She was the first African American woman to graduate from a four year collegiate
course. A black woman going to school is extraordinary, because she challenged the
women are only housewives stereotype and rose like a phoenix from the ashes as an
influence to future abolitionists and authors in the United States. Being a black
woman in the 1850s, the odds were stacked against her. The majority of black
students were denied admission to educational facilities, although white women were
considered as non intellectuals, black women were seen as less than that. In her
address, she used pathos to grab the attention of the audience, by talking about
happiness being achieved only by doing things that benefited others and that
enslaving another is no different from dehumanizing them. The structure of her
address shows the passion she had for the freedom of her people as well as the urge
to unite women to join her cause. In her essay, she wants to inspire women to connect
their maternal instincts to the abolitionist movement and give sympathy to the slaves
as if they were their own flesh and blood.
As a black woman, she was doing things not even white women and a few men
were capable of, especially coming from the least privileged group of people. The
fact that she, as a woman of color, went on stage in front of an audience of
predominately white women, manifests the courage she built up in order to speak
her mind to the people regarding the antislavery cause. Stanton was able to go
against the building blocks of how white Americans viewed the blacks and showing
that black people are not subjugated to the illiterate reputation given to them is a
reform of its own. Two weeks

Body Image Dissatisfaction In Maya Angelou s Phenomenal
Woman
Beauty Comes From Within Imagine this: A person calls themself ugly because
they feel as if they aren t beautiful. A person feels as if no one likes them because of
their appearance. As a result, people start to become unsocial, never go out, and
feel as if they are at their lowest point. Suicide has even been a consideration.
Unfortunately, this is a reality for many people in our society. In Maya Angelou s
Phenomenal Woman , she makes it clear that she will not let her appearance affect
her. She is confident and happy with her body. Body image dissatisfaction is
brought on by a low self esteem that can be caused by the media and peers. Body
image dissatisfaction has always been prevalent, however, with social media now,
the chances of insecurities are even higher. The media only compounds the
problem, bombarding society with what they define as acceptable and beautiful.
When females go out looking for acceptance, they will always fail because it s
impossible to please everyone. All of this could feel overwhelming, and it would
certainly be a lot easier if we really could purchase social acceptance and a positive...

Boys and girls are affected by the media and peers and are influenced by societal
expectations. In the video Body Image The Media , real people openly admit to
being affected by the media and images of what is said to be the perfect figure. A
study found that adolescent girls are more fearful of gaining weight than contracting
cancer, nuclear war, and even losing their parents . This quote is horrifying to think
about, but it is a huge eye opener and example that body image insecurities are
definitely still around. In order to obtain confidence, people need to be themselves
and ignore the expectations set by airbrushed and photoshopped models. A person is
beautiful and unique in their own way and shouldn t want to change who they are for
A Selection System In Human Resource Management Is...
A selection system in human resource management is combination of tools and
procedures used in choosing a person who is qualified for a certain role, who can
successfully bring valuable contributions to an organization (Foot, Hook, Jenkins,
2016). An effective selection system is fundamentally based on job analysis so that
the selection tools utilized in the recruitmentprocess add value to the organization.
This selection system provides a framework for recruiting an accountant, and it
provides job analysis for the position as well as the selection tools and procedures for
the position.

Those who do not meet this requirement will be eliminated at this stage. Other items
to check during screening are education background and work experience as stated
in the job analysis. As result, the tool is reliable in ensuring misfits will not be able
to proceed to the next level. The applications for the position will be received online
through recruitment portals and therefore the applications will be screened
electronically by the human resource personnel. This tool will be administered by
two human resource staff and it will take approximately five hours to execute.
Telephone interviews
Telephone interview is the second tool in the selection system. It involves
contacting the applicants who passed the in the screening tool. The questions that
are asked in the telephone interview are based on the job analysis weighed against
the applicant s responses in the application materials. It is a cost effective and
reliabvle tool in selecting the best candidates who will proceed to next level in the
recruitment process. One basic question that can asked on the telephone interview is,
Do you still have interest in the job that you applied for? those who provide a no
answer will automatically be eliminated from the selection system. Other leading
questions will enable the recruiter to measure other key KSAO s such as experience,
communication skills and educational qualifications. This tool will be administered

Abstract Mobile Ad hoc Network (MANET) is a kind of wireless network. A
Wireless ad hoc network is a temporary network with no network infrastructure. The
nodes communicate with each other, they co operate by forwarding data packets to
other nodes in the network. Thus the nodes find a path to the destination node using
routing protocols. Due to the security vulnerabilities of the routing protocols,
wireless ad hoc networks are unprotected to attacks of the malicious nodes. One of
these attacks is the Sinkhole Attack. Sinkhole attack is a kind of routing attack in
MANET. A sinkhole node tries to attract all the network packets to it self from all
neighboring nodes. This paper focuses on to detect and prevent sinkhole node. The
detection techniques which make use of proactive routing protocol have better packet
delivery ratio and correct detection probability. The detection techniques which make
use of reactive routing protocols have low overheads, but have high packet loss
problem. Therefore, using a hybrid detection technique which combines the
advantages of
Public Administration Vs. Government
Trust in government is one of the major concerns in modern social sciences research.
It is addressed in the literatures of political science, public administration, law,
philosophy, counseling and psychology, economics, organization theory,
management, and others. The literature often documents a positive correlation
between citizens trust in governmentand the government s performance (Feldman,
1983). What is less clear is the nature of any causal relationship (BjГёrnskov, 2007).
Some assert the more intuitive notion that citizens trust more in their government if
and when they deem that the government institutions are delivering required services
and fulfilling the policy agendas (Chanley, Rudolph and Rahn, 2000). On the other
hand, trust also can be seen as the cause of better government performance as the
citizens may think the people running the government would not do anything
illegitimate and beyond the rules (Uslaner, 2002). That is why researchers are still
trying to figure out whether the trust is cause or consequence (BjГёrnskov, 2007
2010).
It implies that the mystery of citizens trust in government still to be solved based on
scholarly agreement. Moreover, citizens trust in government in developing countries
are mostly studied by focusing on national government setting instead of local
government. Studies like Booth and Seligson (2009), Gupta (2005), Bellina, Darbon,
Eriksen, and Sending (2009), Papagianni (2008) and Reno (1995) have indicated that

Cultural Fidelity Essay
The analogy between cultural transmission and genetic inheritance has proven to be
a powerful heuristic in shaping the research program of cultural evolutionary theory.
It has served to organize the explanatory agenda of the field (Mesoudi et al. 2004,
2006; Richerson Boyd 2005) and to structure the transfer and adaptation of the formal
methods of population biology to the study of cultural change (Boyd Richerson 1985;
Cavalli Sforza Feldman 1981). Moreover, the identification of disanalogies between
the biological and cultural domains have served as stepping stones for cultural
evolutionary theory to move away from a strict adherence to the gene cultural
analogy and towards developing itself into an increasingly autonomous and
productive scientific program (Laland Brown 2010; Lewens 2015). Impeding on the
theoretical self determination of the field, however, is its continuing reliance in
understanding the notion of cultural... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Differently put, the price in lacking a clear definition of cultural fidelity, or in
keeping the concept s meaning bound to the genetic analogy, is equivocation.
Different researchers may understand the meaning of the analogy differently,
adopting conflicting notions of fidelity, yet fail to realize that they do so.
Equivocation also opens the door to those disagreeing about the importance of
fidelity in maintaining cultural traditions and those dissenting on the validity of the
analogy to talk pass one another. Finally, and more importantly, newcomers to the
field of cultural evolution studies may find the prevalent concept ambiguous,
understand the analogy through unchecked idiosyncratic interpretations, and thus
perpetuate its
What Impact Did Robber Barons Have On The Economy
Throughout the American History there s been several people and events that have
influenced the economy of the United States both positive and negatively. The
Gilded Age, for instance, was a period where the growth of industries quickly took
place leaving many great fortunes and wealth. The Robber Barons were businessmen
responsible for taking control of major industries; and with so, they took most of the
credit due to the fact that they shaped the economic landscape we experience in today
s daily living. Yet many people believe that the Robber Barons where greedy
capitalists pigs even with the many opportunities they built such as large industries,
technological changes, countless jobs for the Americans, and many other factors that

Even though they benefited the United States, the Robber Barons were also hated
throughout the country. They used ruthless tactics to defeat their competitors; they
would overwork their employees and sometimes even underpay them. Also they were
known to be corrupt and for using their political networks to change decisions in
favor of their organizations. In addition, they would lower the pricing unethically just
to eliminate any other competitors and established monopolies after overpricing their
The Decolorization Potential of Microorganisms
The decolorization potential of microorganism was assessed by examining its
ability to degrade various textile dyes. All 10 dyes monitored showed
decolorization as follows: Reactive Yellow 84 (complete decolorization in 5 h),
Reactive Green 19A (95% in 24 h) , Reactive Red 120 (complete decolorization in 6
h), Reactive Blue 160 (complete decolorization in 3 h), Reactive Red 31(complete
decolorization in 6 h), Solvent Red 24 (complete decolorization in 8 h), Basic
Green 4 (80% in 24 h), Diamond Green 4 (complete decolorization in 24 h),
Pigment Orange 31 (complete decolorization in 3 h) and RO16 (complete
decolorization in 2 h), while in sterile, cell free medium decolorization did not occur
up to 48 h of incubation suggesting the absence of abiotic decolorization. As RO16
showed complete decolorization in 2 h, this industrially important toxic azo dyewas
taken for further studies. Lysinibacillus sp. RGS could decolorize RO16 rapidly
and thus was found to be better than the bacterial consortium DAS reported by
Jadhav et al (2011). To confirm the decolorization, UV Vis spectroscopic analysis
was carried out. The absorption spectra of RO16 before and after treatment by
Lysinibacillus sp. RGS in visible range were taken. Peak responsible for absorption
maxima of parent dye (495 nm) were completely disappeared in the sample obtained
after decolorization (Fig.S1) confirming the complete removal.

Figurative Language In Brave New World
Strumpet! Strumpet! is what the people in Brave New World would say to the real
world s society because of with the government has told them. Totalitarian
government in this society of Brave New World is a way to control the masses to
become just a mass of bodies to work and only complete their assigned jobs. In Brave
New World, Aldous Huxleyuses figurative language and details to explain political
and social issues in the 1920s 1930s when this novel was written. Mustapha Mond
is one of the most powerful men is this society and certainly the most powerful we
ve met in the book. He controls what the masses can read and see in the media. He
was one of the few people who can know what s actually going on and how to
control everyone. Thus, showing the reader some of the many political problems
in this utopia. In chapter 11 Huxley writes, Our library, said Dr. Gaffney, contains
only books of reference. If our young people need distraction, they can get it at the
feelies. We don t encourage them to indulge in any solitary amusements, to say that
the people of this world have no choice in what they consume in the media. This
small detail tells about the type of society of Brave New World. Details like this
showing the limitation of the people in this society gives the reader a feeling of
uneasiness. The government if this world has a type of totalitarian government. As

Rights Of The Legal System
Right to Legal Counsel Access to justice refers to one s ability to access the legal
system to enforce one s legal rights. Without access to the legal system, an
individual s legal rights are meaningless. The maldistribution of legal services has
rendered the ideal of equality before the law an empty promise. Ensuring access to
justice is cumbersome, as a constitutional right to legal counsel will impose a
considerable burden on taxpayers. The Charter of Rights and Freedom (the Charter )
guarantees the right to legal counsel for criminal matters. Conversely, right to civil
legal aidonly arises when someone s life, liberty, or security of the person is
threatened by state action. The state action requirement excludes all... Show more

Extra legal solutions aim to incentivize practicing lawyers to engage in pro bono
work. This paper will focus on incentivizing lawyers to do pro bono work. First, the
paper will discuss the main barrier to pro bono work and then it will suggest a
general framework to address the barrier. The main barrier to pro bono work is
liability risk, which should be shifted to an insurance provider.
The main reason behind private practice lawyers reluctance to take on pro bono
cases is liability risk. In Canada, most practicing lawyers have professional liability
insurance coverage. According to the Federation of Law Societies of Canada (
FLSC ) report, in Ontario, 85 out of 125 charges laid resulted in conviction.
Overall, LawPro (main insurance provider to lawyers in Ontario) received 5140
complaints. Even though there is only 1.65% chance of a successful malpractice
claim (but 68% chance if a charge is laid), lawyers are still fearful of such claims.
Lawyers practice meticulously because mistakes will end their career. For example,
the team of lawyers that drafted the contract in the comma case will likely not be
hired again. The legal profession is reputation based. Clients expect expertise,
competence, and perfection. Failure to deliver less than a perfect document that costs
the client money will ruin the lawyer s reputation. The time between the retainer
agreement and closing letter, lawyers are vulnerable. The opposing counsel cannot
harm the lawyer as
Polycephalum Essay
Physarum Polycephalum is a slime mold that has a yellow coloring to it and it
resides in areas of shade, cool temperatures and moisture. Not only does this slime
mold have the name Physarum Polycephalum, but it is also referred to as
Polycephalum as suggested by (Jabr, 2012). P. Polycephalum is a multicellular
microbe that feeds fungal spores and other microbes because the organisms are
heterotrophic (Sauer, 1986). P. Polycephalum is very interesting because it has traits
of both fungi and animals, which I find very interesting. It has this ability to move
around where it is located to find food by engulfing and surrounding it, and it does
this by going through enzyme secretion. Although we know a lot about this organism,
for many years it was mistaken as fungi due to the fact that it was thought to be
heterotrophic but through further analysis it was removed from that category
because they realized that fungi is not as mobile as this organism. P. Polycephalum
doesn t have a cellwall but fungi have cell walls made of chitin, which lead to the line
being drawn between these two organisms (Ashworth and Dee, 1975).
The most ideal habitat for P. Polycephalum is a moist and shady region but not only
is it suitable for P. Polycephalum but its also suitable for bacteria, archea and protists
that it feeds on (Jabr, 2012). When it engulfs its food, it grows with the help of
Phagocytosis and then it becomes a mass of multinucleate protoplasm, which then has
a bright yellow color,
The Rights Of Aboriginal People In Canada
The acts regarding Aboriginal peoples is a third important aspect of the major terms
and conditions set in the constitution act (1867). Throughout the years, Canada has
faced many issues regarding the rights of Aboriginal People. As colonization spread
across North America, native peoples often found themselves unwelcome in habitats
of their own lands, and Europeans used a combination of force and peaceful means
(eg. treaties) to re settle natives in reserved areas of land. (McCormack Bueckert,
2013). The harsh treatment directed towards the aboriginal people made their lives
very difficult. It s hard to imagine why the people who were in Canadabefore
colonies started to form would be kicked out of their own land. After many years of

Narnia Foils
In literature, a foil is a person, object, or idea that is contrasted with another in
order to highlight and enhance its qualities. These are great literary devises which
are used to draw focus to the desired emphasis of a story. For example, in The
Chronicles of Narnia, specifically The Silver Chair and The Last Battle, Jill and
Eustace are foils for each other. Their personalities balance each other out which
allows them to highlight each other s strengths and weaknesses. However, they aren t
just foils for each other, though. In The Silver Chair, the two of them together serve
as foils for the characternamed Puddleglum. They are eager to dive head first into
their adventure while Puddleglum, with his pessimistic outlook, is always either...

He serves as a guide and a protector for the children. There are multiple occasions in
which Puddleglum saves the children from almost certain death. The first instance
that comes to mind is also in the giant city of Harfang. Had it not been for
Puddleglum, the children would have likely gone into completely panic, been
caught, and certainly been eaten. Instead, Puddleglum does a wonderful job of
keeping the children calm for as long as possible and giving them the perfect time
to make a break for it and escape. Once the company made was in Underland and
the Queen returned to find them there, she attacked them at once and tried to put all
of them under a spell. Puddleglum bravely lunged towards the Queen and put out
the magic fire. He severely burned himself in this process and yet he continued to
watch after the children. The Queen turned herself into a serpent and attacked
Prince Rilian Eustace and Rilian himself, along with Puddleglum, despite his
wounds, kill the Queen with their swords. In a way, Puddleglum is almost a foil for
himself! He displays all the attributes of a heroic character while being perpetually
distraught and pessimistic. These traits typically do not mix, yet Lewis does an
outstanding job of making it work for this
Social Cognitive Theory, And Social Cognitive Theory
Social cognitive theory, also known as social learning theory, a theory of learning that
focuses on changes in behaviour that result from observing others (Bandura 2001 as
cited in Eggen,Kauchak, 2013). According to Simons(1994, p.43) Social learning
Theory is the view of psychologists who emphasize that behaviour is learned through
experiences with the environment and that cognitive factors influence learning.
Albert Bandurais the theorist behind this psychological theory. According to a survey
conducted in 2002, Bandura was ranked as the third most frequently cited
psychologist of all time (Eggen,Kauchak, 2010). Social Cognitive Theory emphasizes
the roles of beliefs, self perceptions, and learner expectations (Eggen,Kauchak.2010).
According to social cognitive theorists learning is viewed as a change in a person s
mental processes that stimulates the capacity to demonstrate different behaviours
(Hill, 2002 as cited in Eggen,Kauchak, 2010).
Social Cognitive Theory (SCT) continues to emphasize that learning occurs in a
social context and that much of what is learned is gained through observation. SCT

(Eggen, Kauchak, 2013). A closely related assumption within the SCT is that people
have an agency or ability to influence their own behavior and the environment in a
purposeful, goal directed fashion (Bandura, 2001). In other words, it can be said that
those influences take place in a two directional and reciprocal fashion. Bandura
created the Triadic reciprocal causation model which can be used to explain how
learning results from the interactions among three factors: (1) personal and cognitive
factors, (2) behavioural patterns and (3) social environment. Example of personal
factors are self control and
Pluto Personal Statement
As a lover for science, I fled with joy when I found out that I was born on the same
month the dwarf planet Pluto was discovered. I have always been an enthusiast for
art and science, especially Astronomy; it is a study that I was fascinated with. I
believe that determination and perfectionism is important, and I am not the type of
person who gives up on what they want easily so I was hard to satisfy, however, I
learned to embrace that aspect of me and since then have always been trying my best
to succeed and learn from my mistakes.
Ever since I was a child, I have always wanted to become a mosaic scientist; I loved
the idea of collecting rocks and create images with them. However, as I grew older,

Answer to Question 1 In the SANDC, there are 33 picking stations in the area
where the tote bins are moved to the bin to bin system of the picking areas. All of
these picking stations have 12 of these bins on the lower levels and these 12 lower
level bins represent stores which are to be picked. On the other hand, on the higher
level conveyor, the bins are gotten to two locations in front of the person picking.
The person picking picks as per the instructions of a system of pick to light. Beside
every bin is a display showing the number of items which are to be picked from the
upper bins. In the same way, lower bins also have a display showing the items to
be removed. The person who is performing the task of picking, is to complete the
requirements of each of the tasks being displayed and then press buttons accordingly
to show that each of the tasks that were displayed have, in fact, been completed.
When this happens, the bin is returned to its place by an automated system and the
person has to now start picking from the second bin on the upper hand. The bins on
further ends keep replacing bins that are being completed as and when the picker
presses the buttons indicating completion. The bins that are completed are then
transported to a despatch buffer store and loaded into automated dolly machines.
There are 10 of these tote bins placed on each dolly machine which are then
assembled in groups of three. Then a vehicle
Stress-Related Back Pain Research Paper
Millions of Americans have experienced back pain at one point or another in their
life. Back pain is one of the most common complaints that a doctor will hear from a
patient on a visit. Understanding the source of your pain can be very overwhelming
and frustrating, especially when a structural explanation cannot be provided. Could
your back painbe triggered by stress? For many individuals, stress is not the first
thing that comes to mind when trying to establish the cause of their back pain.
However, it is quite possible that stress is the primary cause of your back pain.
Stress related back pain is real. What is stress related back pain? This is a back
pain that is initiated by the psychological or emotional factor stress, or is maintained
by it, or both. In simpler terms, when we hold stress in our bodies, it can cause a
physical change that leads to back pain. Physician and professor of physical medicine
and rehabilitation at New York University, John Sarno MD, who helped to popularize
the notion of stress related back pain, contends that the patient s feelings, personality,
and unconscious issues are the direct cause of the back pain. Stressful life situations,
coupled with personality characteristics, can... Show more content on Helpwriting.net

related back pain carries symptoms such as back or neck pain, sleep disruption and
fatigue, shifting muscle aches, and muscle tenderness. If back pain is stress related,
lacking a structural explanation, a multi disciplinary treatment option involving an
assessment of the physical, cognitive, emotional, and environmental is typically

The Great Migration Of Chinese Immigrants In The 19th Century Similar to all the other countries in the 19th century, early Chinese immigrants were pushed by forces in China and pulled by attractions in the United States. The film portrays several decades in the life of Forrest Gump, a slow witted, naГЇve but goodhearted man from Greenbow, Alabama. • 9. College Vs. High School Coming into English 102 I assumed it would be extremely easy and it would be similar to high school English. This was correct, it consistent mainly of writing papers and a few assignments where we had to read something then write about it. As a result of this I believe I did not take the course as serious as I needed to. However along the way I learned multiple useful concepts that will be beneficial to my continuance of college. College and high school are not as different as people make them seem, the only difference is I am paying for one and not the other. With both being similar I maintained bad habits I had in high school such as procrastinating, incorrect form use, lack of proofreading and using resources available for my benefit. A great example of this was my college English class. Throughout the semester we were given multiple assignments to which I waited tilt the night before or the week before to complete. This was the first habit I needed to break. Waiting to the last minute to write my English papers is one of my big regrets form this semester. I learned it is tiresome and when a person rushes on a paper it is more likely to sound like their rushing on a paper. My papers consisted of misplaced words, grimace errors, tense errors, and unorganized flow. As I continued to go through this class I learned writing my paper ahead of time would make it sound much better. Each and every time I procrastinated I forgot to proofread. Proofreading is one of the most
  • 10. The French Republic Of France The French Republic of France is located in Western Europe. It s history dates back as far as Julius Caesar and the Romans. One could easily write a lengthy paper simply addressing the history of France. Just looking at the last 5 centuries for France alone, one could fill books with the information. Between the wars of Religion in the late 15th century, the Enlightenment and Reign of Napoleon during the 18th Century, and the World Wars of the 19th century, France has experienced monumental changes becoming the country that it is today. France as it is known today did not adopt its current constitution until 1958. The government of France is a unitary semi presidential constitutional republic. This governmental system is very similar to that of the United States the only difference being the existence of a Prime Minister and a Cabinet which both compliment the President. Other parliamentary systems such as India, Japan merely elects a President as more of ceremonial head of State. However the French President actually works with some power (Hou, Stephen). The President is the head of the armed forces and actually has control over France s nuclear deterrents. The president is also in charge of selecting the nine members of France s constitutional council, which then decide the constitutionality of some laws (The Local). The Prime Minister is more so in charge of determining policy and general direction that the country will take. The official language and most widely
  • 11. Reflective Speech About God Heavenly Father, I have been feeling overwhelmed and anxious lately; I feel like I have so much to do and not enough time or resources to get them done. I am facing situations that make me feel small and incapable. Today Lord, I humbly come to you and lay all my anxieties at your feet because I know you care for me. I claim that promise and hold it close to my heart. Father, I know that I cannot change anything in my life by being stressed and worried. So today I proclaim your peace that cannot be found in the world over my life. You Lord are the Prince of Peace and I call on the name of Jesus to cast out every spirit of anxiety, fear, and worryin my life. Your word says that you would keep in perfect peace if my mind is stayed on you and I trust in you. The next time I find myself getting overwhelmed by the stress of this world, I ask for the strength of your spirit to help me stay focused on you. I thank you Father because I know that your peace that surpasses all understanding will guard my heart and mind. In Jesus name, I pray, Amen. About a month ago, this is the prayer that I found myself repeating over and over again each night. I have, and probably always will be a perfectionist and a chronic worrier. I stay constantly stressed out about any and everything. I don t just worry about things in my own life, I even worry about things in my friend s and family s lives that they don t even worry about themselves. I know that I put too much pressure on myself to have

Even Representative Lee Hamilton, the opposition for his trial, said I do not have any doubts at all, Colonel North, that you are a patriot. There are many patriots in the country and many forms of patriotism. For you, patriotism rests in the conduct of deeds, some requiring great personal courage, to free hostages and to fight communism. Even President Reagan himself stated that [Oliver North] has proven to be an outstanding American patriot in a 1985 letter. North will do anything to protect his country, his beloved America. He even carried suicide pills on a mission to Tehran in case he was captured; he announced his willingness to die for his country. All actions taken by North during the Iran Contra Affair was undertaken to defend the United States. Furthermore, Oliver North was legally fulfilling his ambition of protection because he was only following instructions handed down by his superiors. There is no criminal intent in his actions, only a need to defend his country. President Ronald Reagan stated that he wanted to keep the contras going body and soul . He wanted to keep the Contras together as a fighting force in the field until Congress resumed funding and to keep them together as a viable political opposition. Additionally, North was only following the chain of command. Orders originated from the

The decentralized structure allows the managers to persuade informal commitments and networks to establish goals. In these kinds of organizations, managers appeal to the knowledge, learning, and decision making of individual employees to ensure proper operation of the firm. Once again, Information technology can perform these activities in the best manner. High usage of Internet since the mid 1990s caused significant organizational redesign and has contributed the emergence of new phenomenon Digital Firm. Social life, social change, social causes and consequences are what makes us all human. Psychologically and sociologically, we are all different. Each individual has different characteristics and personalities. Society has its way of organizing people who share the same similarities typically by their cultural (or ethnic) identities, gender identities, class identities, and so forth. It many not seem deviant to some people, though may certainly be deviant to others. Basically when people react disapprovingly towards something, that something is deviant. Due to these functions, ICS holds the adaptability and flexibility to be applied to an array of incidents both large and small. Therefore, these features can be used to strengthen the Emergency Management Plan (EMP). Features like management by objective and unity and chain of command ensure that EMP develops clear and attainable objective for disaster management. Developing alternative means of communication to manage and control disaster response efforts effectively, ensures timely response actions are employed. These alternative communication

On December 11, 1992, India endorsed the Convention on the Rights of the Child but did not agree to one clause that declared children, fourteen years of age and younger, to be protected by the law to not engage in hazardous working conditions. The convention was open for ratification in 1898 and mapped out basic necessary rights for children under the age of eighteen. These are a few of the rights India ratified: the right to education, the right to information, the right to nutrition, the right to health and care, the right to protection from abuse, the right to protection from exploitation, the right to development, and the right to survival. India has also created a law in 2006 that banned the use of child labor for domestic purposes and in the hospitality industry (Clifford, 2011). The legal age is fourteen years of age for children to work but that law is not strictly followed. A number of children are recruited into industries at ages as young as six years old. While doing this I will observing the effect of low light on cast shadows as well as the effect of candle light on walls. In addition, I be observing the shift in the intensity of light when adding two candles and later three candles. Before this I will be describing the candle in order to make sense of some of my observation in relation to the colorof the candle and how that effects the lightit emits. The candle itself gives of an intense fragrance of apple cinnamon in tandem with its rich color of deep red, it is placed in a glass container that is similar in size to a 8 ounce glass. For this exercise I have chosen to place the candle on the ground in a dark corner of the hallway. The space has various objects lining the walls, and a few items on the floor as well. The color of the walls are a lemon yellowand in the darkness its color is faint and is more reminiscent of a gray. I place the candle on the ground and it creates a immediate ring of light around its self, the color of the light contains a tint of red and the effect is creating a halo around the candle. Although, surrounding the candle s ring of light, a darker tone represents the shadow of the candle itself. This initial ring of light on the ground creates the sense of movement in the candlelight by moving in an out mimicking, a camera lens opening and closing. Looking around the room, I notice the candle light

However, as the song progresses, Rutherford s poignant vocal talents seep through as the song becomes less of a praise of love and more of a lamentation of it, and the deep scars it leaves behind as it comes to a close. The beginning of the song is riddled with juxtapositions like, Head in the clouds but my gravity s centered which provide a unique insight into two component of love, the pure ecstasy of lust coupled with the grounding force of complacency and reality that cements the relationship. While the lyrics often exalt the conquest of love, as it evolves the song provides a evocative lamentation of that lost in the pursuit of love. The lyrics become darker and more cacophonous, shifting from the upbeat, The goose bumps start to raise to, it too cold, it s too cold. The protracted feeling that creeps into Rutherford s voice conveys a demeaning view of that lost, and leaves a lasting impression of hopelessness that persists long after the song finishes. Sartre believes that the very nature of consciousnessis what allows human beings to have free will. He thinks that being conscious of imagining and noticing the different consequences of situations allow you to know the different possible futures that might come about from the actions we do that allow us to choose our path. For Sartre, being observant of the world allows us to take a step back from our lives and view it in a different type of lens. This opens up a distance between our consciousness and the rest of the physical aspects in the world. Free will is the ability to choose from choices that allow the action to creatively determine by the conscious mind. Libertarianism rejects that they are innocent because everything that we do as humans are our own free will and we will always be responsible for what we do as people. At the end, both conditions for a hold up were fulfilled with MGM: Relationship Specific Investment and incomplete contract. While Cirque du Soleil always insisted on having the creative force for all productions, MGM Mirage and Disney had very high initial relationship specific investments by building huge theaters. However, neither company feared opportunism nor has there been an attempt to vertically integrate Cirque into either company. Now that we have seen that a hold up was possible with the Cirque s partner, let s see if we might have such problems within the company (internal hold up). Actually, it s possible that the employees hold up the firm: When they decide to produce a new show, the Cirque has to invest in order to train the artists and once they are trained, they could ask for a higher salary. We could also argue that the Cirque could hold up the employee because once he is trained, his knowledge is very specific to only one show and cannot be used by any other circus. At the end, we see that
  • 39. The Effects Of Television On Today s Society Television has greatly evolved since the 1950s, and has become a part of most American households over the years. Today s society has turned to television for a variety of purposes including; entertainment, intellectual growth, and as a way to stay updated with what is going on in our society. While these seem like all positive aspects that have come with the progression of television, there are also negative components that have a direct affect on today s society. Therefore this paper will discuss the growth of television in America, as well as the negative components that contribute to undesirable behaviors that occur in the American society today. When the television first was introduced to the public, society was much different. Technology was something that was still rather new, as the radio was one of the biggest ways of receiving information, and not many could afford a television. Families that were fortunate enough to purchase a television would use it to listen to the news, and watch entertainment through means of variety shows with the family. In fact, one of the most memorable events in television during that time was when President Roosevelt was seen on television for the first time in history (Edgerton, 13). Reversely today, humans not only use television much more frequently, but now we depend on it. Instead of television being used strictly as means of relaying information and for family entertainment, today s television is full of inappropriate

Load Optimum Mpls Routing With Routers And Links Load Optimum MPLS Routing with Routers and Links (N+M) ABSTRACT: MPLS is now a days the most important thing in the intra domain routing (i.e. routing in own domain or network). The main advantage of MPLS is the flexibility it offers towards traffic engineering ex. To support higher demand without overloading any links. Most of the major vendors are now offering MPLS routers and many ISPs are deploying MPLS in their IP backbone as well as in ATMs and frame relays. Because of this increase in transition to MPLS we are required to increase our knowledge towards the importance and limitations of MPLS. Mitra and Ramakrishna from GLOBECOM 99 has showed optimum routing solutions can be found to achieve the goals for diverse set of Traffic ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... It can provide applications like Traffic Engineering, Quality of Service and Virtual Private Networks. The packets in MPLS are directed through the network based on an assigned label. The label is associated through the network with an assigned path which allows a higher level of control on the packets than in packet switched networks. MPLS routing allow differing QoS characteristics and priorities to be assigned to particular data flows. Traffic Engineering explains the optimization of fundamental abilities of the network [2]. Traffic Engineering is the process of controlling how traffic flows through ones network so as to optimize resource utilization and network performance [3]. It is performed by detouring the traffic to paths that are lightly loaded in order to balance the load amongst the paths as per the various calculated metrics. These can be divided as two types. They are state dependent and time dependent. Both of them are focused to balance the traffic so that they can avoid the congestion. State dependent policies change the traffic in short time scale depending on different metrics calculated both online and offline of the present traffic and the time dependent policies engineer it based on long time scaling. Both these methods aim to balance the traffic so as to avoid the congestion. The problem that we face while using previous MPLS routing solutions is that

Gothic Elements Of Gothic The Gothic genre is a product of the Romantic era and is believed to have started with Horace Walpole s The Castle of Otranto in the late eighteenth century; the popularity of the genre continued throughout the nineteenth century and still has influence in modern times, as evident in Charlotte BrontГ« s Jane Eyreand the film adaptation of The Turn of the Screw : Jack Clayton s 1961 The Innocents . Gothic literature and cinema are famously known for their staple elements present in almost every text. Some of the most notable features of these texts are the supernatural, isolation, and women in distress. These elements are, arguably, what makes Gothic fictionso unique. In particular, these details create an overall suspenseful and otherworldly atmosphere, they also aid the story to reach its climax. BrontГ« s Jane Eyre and Clayton s The Innocents are examples of these Gothic features working together to create an enigmatic and theatrical story. Jane Eyre follows the story of an orphan governess who, by fate, becomes romantically entangled with a wealthy gentleman who has dark secrets. Similarly, The Innocents also observes the narrative of a plain governess who is employed to take care of strange children who live in a grand house full of mystery and concealment. The most famous element of Gothic fiction is the supernatural. When thinking about the Gothic genre, many are familiar with the occult driven storylines of Stoker s Dracula and Shelley s

If being a woman had limitations, imagine what a black woman experienced, as they were considered less than human and mistreated more than any other female from any different background. In A Plea for the Oppressed , Lucy Stanton, one such black woman, tried to avail her people s plight upon an audience of white women, to support the antislavery and reform cause. Lucy Stanton was born a free women and raised by John Brown, an abolitionist. She was the first African American woman to graduate from a four year collegiate course. A black woman going to school is extraordinary, because she challenged the women are only housewives stereotype and rose like a phoenix from the ashes as an influence to future abolitionists and authors in the United States. Being a black woman in the 1850s, the odds were stacked against her. The majority of black students were denied admission to educational facilities, although white women were considered as non intellectuals, black women were seen as less than that. In her address, she used pathos to grab the attention of the audience, by talking about happiness being achieved only by doing things that benefited others and that enslaving another is no different from dehumanizing them. The structure of her address shows the passion she had for the freedom of her people as well as the urge to unite women to join her cause. In her essay, she wants to inspire women to connect their maternal instincts to the abolitionist movement and give sympathy to the slaves as if they were their own flesh and blood. As a black woman, she was doing things not even white women and a few men were capable of, especially coming from the least privileged group of people. The fact that she, as a woman of color, went on stage in front of an audience of predominately white women, manifests the courage she built up in order to speak her mind to the people regarding the antislavery cause. Stanton was able to go against the building blocks of how white Americans viewed the blacks and showing that black people are not subjugated to the illiterate reputation given to them is a reform of its own. It is addressed in the literatures of political science, public administration, law, philosophy, counseling and psychology, economics, organization theory, management, and others. The literature often documents a positive correlation between citizens trust in governmentand the government s performance (Feldman, 1983). What is less clear is the nature of any causal relationship (BjГёrnskov, 2007). Some assert the more intuitive notion that citizens trust more in their government if and when they deem that the government institutions are delivering required services and fulfilling the policy agendas (Chanley, Rudolph and Rahn, 2000). On the other hand, trust also can be seen as the cause of better government performance as the citizens may think the people running the government would not do anything illegitimate and beyond the rules (Uslaner, 2002). That is why researchers are still trying to figure out whether the trust is cause or consequence (BjГёrnskov, 2007 2010). It implies that the mystery of citizens trust in government still to be solved based on scholarly agreement. Moreover, citizens trust in government in developing countries are mostly studied by focusing on national government setting instead of local government. Moreover, the identification of disanalogies between the biological and cultural domains have served as stepping stones for cultural evolutionary theory to move away from a strict adherence to the gene cultural analogy and towards developing itself into an increasingly autonomous and productive scientific program (Laland Brown 2010; Lewens 2015). It has this ability to move around where it is located to find food by engulfing and surrounding it, and it does this by going through enzyme secretion. Although we know a lot about this organism, for many years it was mistaken as fungi due to the fact that it was thought to be heterotrophic but through further analysis it was removed from that category because they realized that fungi is not as mobile as this organism. P. Polycephalum doesn t have a cellwall but fungi have cell walls made of chitin, which lead to the line being drawn between these two organisms (Ashworth and Dee, 1975).
