Examples Of 10 SEO Tips For Your Mobile App
10 SEO Tips For Your Mobile App
There are so many mobile app development companies today. It is no wonder there
are so many mobile apps online right now. Some are doing well: ranking high with
millions of downloads while some have faded into the background because they
could not meet up with the competition. As the owner of a new mobile app
development company, you might be intimidated by the way other mobile apps are
ranking high and ruling the world of mobile application. These companies might
have big names and wealth, but that should intimidate you because your app can still
do better than theirs. It might be a little tricky at first, but with a little diligence your
app can perform better and have millions of downloads. The first ... Show more

This is because they constantly monitor feedbacks and make improvements on the
app as requested by their users. Constant app updates prove to your customers that
you take them seriously and they will give you positive reviews.
Videos and Pictures
Apart from search ranking, you can also make use of attraction in SEO. You can
make your app hard to resist for users by making a short video podcast that
showcases the best features of your app and how it can help improve everyday life
for users. You can also take a few vibrant pictures displaying the best features of your
app that would attract users to download the app.
Smart Link Text
As the owner of an app development company android or iOS, you should not
make the common SEO mistakes of not adding the supported mobile devices for
linking your app. For example, when liking your app, it is better to use get this app
on iOS instead of using click here. With the former, you would be able to get Google
s attention and rank well.
Social media platforms
Another way to get high rankings in search engines is the use of social media
platforms. Social media is a very effective search engine optimization tip; because it
gives preference to the number of time content is displayed on all social media
platforms. The more the content are shared on social media networks, the higher the
rankings the mobile app gets.

The name of the app goes a long way in making the popular and rank high. You need

Consumer Debt And Personal Loan
Consumer Debt And The Personal Loan: How To Give Yourself An Economic Edge
Between credit cards, mortgages and student loans, Americans are collectively in
debt to the tune of over 11 trillion dollars. If your personal finances are riddled with
debt, you re likely pulling off quite a balance act as you try to pay all the bills while
still maintaining some quality of life. Here s how personal loans could make life
easier for you:
The Advantages Of A Personal Loan
Personal loans are much more flexible than other borrowing, particularly because
they require no collateral. The terms are often far more appealing, too, especially if
you have a good relationship with your local bank. For example, you don t need a

earnings power is limited by many things, whereas a lot of spending is completely

coffee. Treat your household finances like a business, holding yourself (and
everyone else involved) accountable for every dollar spent and you will quickly

Coronary Artery Disease Essay
One of the major implications that can be caused by heart disease is a heart attack.
The definition of a heart attack is when oxygen rich blood is suddenly blocked off to
a section of the heart. This makes the heart unable to get oxygen, and if not restored,
leads to the death of that section of the heart. (NIH, 2015) This can be caused in a
few different ways. The most frequent cause for a heart attack is coronary artery
disease, which is further explained in the What is Heart Disease? section. The basic
definition, though, is when plaque builds up in a person s coronary arteries.
Coronary arteries are the arteries that supply oxygen rich bloodto a person s heart.
(NIH, 2015) This gradual build up of plaque in the arteries is known as
atherosclerosis and takes place over the course of many years. The prescence of
plaque in the arteries is not enough to cause a heart attack, though. There needs to
be a complete blockage of the coronal artery. This blockage can be caused by a
rupture in the artery at an area of plaque. The rupture causes a blood clot to form on
the surface of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This spasm can constrict the artery to the point that it completely blocks off blood
flow to a section of the heart. (AHA, 2016) Heart attacks are very serious events
and can lead to even more severe complications. These complications include
arrhythmias and heart failure. Arrhythmias are irregular heartbeats that can be fatal
in some cases. (AHA, 2016) You can find more information about arrhythmias here.
Heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to pump blood at a high enough rate
to keep up with the body s needs. Heart attacks and the complications that come with
them can be minimized, though, if it is treated quickly. This relies on keeping the
public informed about what a heart attack looks or feels like and what to do if one

Chinese Culture Vs American Culture
I stand between two worlds: the American and the Chinese culture, one which I was
born into, the other I was raised into. The two doctrines drag at me constantly with a
noose around my neck constantly warning me of accepting the other doctrine.
Throughout my life, my family functioned on a basic norm: to not trust others and to
value only the worth of my family, yet within the American institution, I learned to
function upon the doctrines of cooperation and individualism. My life was thus a
constant balance and strife as my parents saw in me undesirable traits that would, in
the Chinese culture, rendered me empty minded, without a thought of my own, or
blatantly, an easily deceived idiot. Through the lens of my family, I viewed the world

List Price And Agent Feedback On The Weekly Calls
As RMS has indicated many times, based on our observations and more importantly
on the review of assets during our weekly calls with Altisource, RMS continues to
believe on many of these assets, the condition or location of the property is the
primary driver behind not only the large reduction in list price, but ultimately a sales
price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to extended days on
market and increased carrying costs incurred by the trust. This is an ongoing issue
observed with Altisource and discussed on the weekly calls.
List price continues to be the biggest concern and is a frequent topic during our
weekly target assets and RMS raises these issues on an asset level basis, reviewing
activity, property condition, agent feedback and offers (or lack thereof).
RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is
high relative to our opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more
than 60 days and no offers, RMS and Altisource discuss the list price and agent
feedback to understand why offers have not been received. RMS targets these assets
for review every 2 weeks.
Another recent observation is a continued increase in the number of assets in pending
contracts that fall out because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. RMS
continued to observe this in January 2016. We believe this relates to the process by
which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU website), where
Balanchine In Modern Dance
It is thus indisputable that Balanchine s revolutionary choreography is still revered to
this day. In addition, Symons personally recognizes Balanchine as historically, the
most influential figure who contributed to modern dance. In a recent questionnaire
she wrote of how He transformed dance into unconventional classical lines, turned in
(parallel) shapes and revolutionised costume design away from the traditionalism of
the classical tutu (Symons, 2017). His choreography was considered unorthodox as
Balanchine took traditional classical steps and experimented with them in a way that
people hadn t seen before (Kisselgoff, 1983). After failing at many attempts to open a
modern classical school, an opportunity to co fund a strictly regimented and
traditional balletsociety was offered to him, he gladly accepted and eventually
incorporated his neo classical style into the traditional performances. Soon his work
became famous amongst ballet associates around the world (Kisselgoff, 1983). When
Balanchine s choreography is compared to that of typical romantic ballet, there is
clearly a difference between the unyielding fundamentals of ballet and the constant
changing details in Balanchine s work. The main element that set Balanchine apart
from other contemporary choreographers at the time was his use of music (NYCB,
2002). Balanchine grew up with a composer as a father, when he began devising
routines he used music to set the tone of the performance (NYCB, 2002). Balanchine
Theorems Of A Penalty Kick
Now, how do these two theorems help in analysing a penalty shootout?
Let us first see what a penalty kick is? When do players receive a penalty kick?
Penalty kick is a direct free kick that is taken from the penalty spot which is 12
yards from the goal. Only the goalkeeper is allowed to stand between the player
taking the penalty kick and the goal. All other players need to stand behind the
penalty taker. Penalty kicks are performed during normal play. They are awarded
when a foul that is punishable by a direct free kick is committed within the offending
player s own penalty area. Similar kicks are made in a penalty shootout in major
international tournaments such as the World Cup to determine which team is
victorious after a drawn match.
So the striker lines up with the ball in front of him. He runs forwards and kicks the
ball towards the net and the goalkeeper tries to stop it. ... Show more content on

Although the goalkeeper dives after the striker has kicked the ball, he cannot
actually wait to the ball comes off the foot to decide which way to dive because the
ball moves so fast, it will already be behind him by the time he finishes his dive. So
the goalkeeper must pick his strategy before observing any relevant information from
the striker.
This type of game is actually very common. Both players pick a side. One player
wants to match sides (the goalie), while the other wants to mismatch (the striker).
That is, from the striker s perspective, the goalkeeper wants to dive left when the
striker kicks left and dive right when the striker kicks right; the striker wants to
kick left when the goalie dives right and kick right when the goalie dives left. The
same case happens in basketball where a shooter wants a defender to break the
wrong way to give him an open lane to the basket, while the defender wants to stay
lined up with the ball

that make me the person I am are helping others, being organized, and doing the

concepts to people without making that person more confused than they probably
already are. The Focus 2 Assessment made me realize that it is not bad to be the
person I am because I can easily affect someone just as much as someone else can
affect me. The Focus 2 assessment made me realize the career field that I want to

Sociological Analysis Of Hip Hop And Rap Music
1.) In this class we have examined the sociological forces that created the social
conditions from which Hip Hop emerged in the Bronx. Drawing upon Chang, as
well as videos (Bronx is Burning, Flying Cut Sleeves etc.), discuss the sociological
roots of rap. Specifically, what social forces (for example: state policies, global
economic trends, technological advancements, community characteristics as well
as race, class, gender politics) were present and facilitated the development of Hip
Hop? Hip Hop is an extensive and a broad conglomerate of various artistic forms
that ultimately originated in the South Bronx and then quickly spread throughout
the rest of New York City among African Americans and other African American
youth mainly from the Caribbean and from Jamaica during the 1970 s. Over the
course of decades and recent years, controversy surrounding Hip Hop and rap
music has been the vanguard of the media. From the over hype of the East and
West Coast rivalry to the deaths of Tupac, Biggie, and even Michael Brown and
Trayvon Martin, it seems that political and broadcasting groups have been
injudicious to place essentially the blame on rap and Hip Hop music for a
superficial trend in youth violence. Even though critics are very quick to point out
the vehement and intense lyrics of some Hip Hop artists, they are ultimately missing
the point of their message. Similar to other different forms of music, Hip Hop and
rap cannot be understood unless it is studied and analyzed

The Mexican Peso Crisis Essay
The Mexican Peso Crisis
This paper argues that the Mexican peso crisis of December 20 should have been
expected and foreseeable. In the year preceding the crisis, there were several
indicators suggesting that the Mexican economy and peso were already under
extreme pressure. The economy bubble was ballooning to burst so much so that it
was simply a crisis waiting to happen.
Evidences Signaling the Crisis
1. Decreasing Current Account Deficit versus Increasing Capital Account Balance
Mexico was running an increasing current account deficit from US$7.5 billion in
1990 to US$23.4 billion in 1993. This indicates an excess of private investing over
private savings. However, the country was able to maintain an improving fiscal ...

To counter the impact of federal fund rate increase on peso, Mexican government
raised the domestic interest rate by selling more short term government bonds.
The interest rate for peso denominated cetes rose to 15.79% in April 1994 and
increased to 17.07% in July 1994. However, in the second half of 1994, the
Mexican government started to reduce the interest rate, contrary to the federal
fund rate. Also, more of dollar denominated tesobonos were issued aggressively
instead of peso denominated cetes. This was likely due to investors being more
willing to hold tesobonos as they will be covered against the risks of devaluation
and also lower interest rate for tesobonos than cetes. This was an indication that
there was a loss in confidence for peso (i.e. people expected that the peso will
devaluate to a point that even the differential in interest will not be able to cover and
so were unwilling to hold on to peso denominated bonds). 4. Declining Real GDP
Growth
The Mexico?s inflation rate was really not in control as promised by the Mexican
government. The Consumer Price Index was on the rise and real GDP growth has
declined from 4.5% in 1990 to 0.6% in 1993. This shows that Mexico will
experience more rapid inflation than United States in the coming year. This also
means that Mexico peso will lose more value than US dollar during the year ahead.
Hence, there will be an

With the age all of the numbers were very close together, so I think most just
guessed. Which is why the numbers are fairly consistent. With your father s
occupation for me the pilot seemed plausible. Maybe it wouldn t seem very likely
if we lived anywhere else but with the wright Patterson air force base so close by it
was a strong possibility that he could have been a pilot. Not just the Wright Patt,
but with Ohio being one of the birth places of aviation, the possibility got stronger.

Analysis Of The Geography Of Bliss By Eric Weiner
The Geography of Bliss, by Eric Weiner, was truly an enjoyment to read. Wiener, a
former NPR correspondent and self proclaimed Grump, takes his own shot at trying to
answer the age old question, what makes people happy and why? Writing with wit
and humor, Weiner had me laughing on every page. To summarize the novel, Weiner
sets out to countries that are deemed happy, such as the Netherlands, Bhutan, and
Qatar to try and figure out what happinessis, but also why is it in that given location?
He then travels to countries with low levels of contentment such as Moldova, to
discover the differences between the two. Weiner makes astounding insights on
culture and happiness all while maintaining a writing style full of wit that keeps the

Dictionary.com defines Human Geography as the study of the interaction between
human beings and their environment in particular places and across spatial areas.
Relating to the book, how does geography affect happiness? The nineteenth century
Italian painter Giovanni Segantini once said that people of the mountains see the
sun rise and set as a golden fireball, full of life and energy, while flatlanders know
only a tired and drunk sun (Weiner 35). From the results proven by Weiner,
geography does affect happiness. Bhutan is a tiny nation in the foothills of the
Himalayas and was introduced to TV in 1999, but nonetheless, the people always
seem happy (Weiner 90). When the question gets raised, If you took [a Bhutanese
citizen] to America, they would see what they re missing, Weiner responds with the
fact that 90 percent of Bhutanese who study abroad return, forsaking western style
incomes for life in Bhutan (Weiner 90). Geography clearly has an effect on
happiness, because these individuals are turning down more money and jobs to return
home to the place in which they feel
Frankenstein Feminist Analysis
For many years, even to this day we are able to view how women have been
dominated by men. It is obvious that men are seen as the most dominant figure
throughout the story Frankenstein written by Mary Shelley. You can see that in the
1800 s, women were restricted to many commodities In the novel the reader can tell
how she is able to prove that women are shown to be possessions other than
independent like the men. You can immediately tell that Shelley s novel gives
feminist qualities. Many interpreters actually view Shelley as someone who is
centered around men when it comes to looking at the genderroles. As you can see in
the novel most of the women are very quiet and actually all share something in
common. Women back then and to this day can t stand up for themselves when it
comes to men. Unlike Shelley she is able to reach out to her audience and let them
visualize how important women really are. We can see that women are actually smart
and can be confusing people. Unfortunately she is also able to show women such as
Justine, elizabeth and Caroline as a control by the men in the novel, Frankenstein.
The definition of feminism can be interpreted in multiple ways. But the way that
many see it as is ... a political, cultural or economic movement aimed at establishing
equal rights and legal protection for women (The History and Theory of Feminism).
Humans today believe that there are theories or philosophies pertaining to feminism.
For example, the issue of gender

A study of American undergraduates indicated that the beliefs about the nature of life
after death were quite complicated. A 41 item questionnaire produced 12 independent

God were associated with a more positive view of the afterlife, as was being Roman

In this method twelve factors were identified about beliefs about afterlife. Three of
the major factors were that 12.1 percent believe in Heave and Hell. 7.9 percent
believe in reincarnation and 6.6 percent believed that there ate material objects and
sexual desire in the after life. The gender differences that were found are that men
are not less likely to believe in afterlife but they were less likely to believe in Heaven,
reuniting with loved ones, communication with the living and request for forgiveness
before death. Men were more likely the women to believe that there are material
objects, that spirits have human form, that there is pain, hunger, thirst and that rituals
carried out after death are important. The religious differences they found were that
Protestant students were less likely to believe in life after death then Roman
Catholic students. On the other hand, Protestant students were more likely to believe
that there is Hell and that forgiveness needs to be requested to get into Heaven. One
of the strengths that this article has is that they provided a broad hypothesis. It was
not specific and that gave them more room to play around with how they want to test
the beliefs on life after death. They basically just wanted to explore from what was
found in previous search on the afterlife and find more detailed data. Another
strengths in this article were the specific questions that the participants were asked
about their beliefs in the afterlife. The

Emerging Economies And Globalization Of India And China
: Emerging Economies and Globalization
There are many factors involved when a company makes a strategic choice to enter
into a new market. These factors include strategic market position, resource
availability, human capital, as well as financial gains and efficiencies. For General
Electric Healthcare (GEH), the strategy was clear: ...to revolutionize the world s
health by improving the quality, access and affordability of care. (GE Healthcare,
n.d.) For GEH, the position that they needed was clear, to find a cost effective way
to meet their goal. And their choice was to expand their operations into India and
China. Specifically, according to Kumar (2012), India is on the brink of an innovation
boom where many companies like GEH are establishing operations due to the influx
of talented human capital.
...talent is going to be based out of India and China, and the largest growth markets
are going to be based out of India and China, you have to confront the problem that
your top management of the future is going to have to come out of India and China,
because that s where the product leadership is, that s where the important market
leadership is. (Kumar, 2012)
Therefore, it makes logical sense that GEH made the decision to expand its
operations into these two countries. The question now is to define the strategy and
trade theory in which this decision was based as well as understand why these
theories were used.
International trade theories are constantly changing due to

Many ambitious and successful women in the workplace begin declining offers or
stop pursuing better positions due to fear that they may not be able to handle the
responsibility once they have a child, long before they are even close to having a
child. Sandberg suggests that women not take their foot of the gas pedal or put on
the brakes until they need to. In chapter 8: Make a Partner a Real Partner, Sandberg
stresses the importance of having a partner who is willing to split the roles at home
so that the time and workload is 50/50. She believes that just as women must be more
empowered at work, men must be more empowered at home. Admitting that this
easier said than done, it ends up being better for everyone. In chapter 9, The Myth of
Doing it All, Sandberg explains that it is impossible for anyone to do it all. Many
working mothers feel guilty when they compare themselves to stay at home mothers,
assuming that they spend more time with their children than working mothers can.
Studies show no difference in child outcome from working mothers and stay at home

Researching Socratic Pedagogy and Education in Plato s Republic
ABSTRACT: Though Plato never wrote a dialogue that explicitly asks, What is
education? , few argue that he is uninterested in the subject; after all, Plato, like
Socrates, was a teacher. In his magnum opus, the Republic, Plato deals with
education repeatedly. The eduction of the guardian class and the allegory of the cave
present two landmark pedagogical passages. Yet to catch a glimpseof Socratic
pedagogy, we must first sift through the intricacies of dialogue. In addition to the
complexity inherent in dramatic context, it seems clear that Socrates remarks are
often steeped in irony. Thus, we stumble upon a problem: how should we read these
passages on education? Does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first portion of this paper will analyze various dramatic elements that indicate
Socrates ironic intent with respect to the education of the guardians. The second
portion will focus on the allegory of the cave as Socrates genuine conception of ideal
paideia (or education).
II. Dramatic Context and the Introduction of Irony
A. Conventional Irony
Unfortunately perhaps, we cannot look at Plato s treatise on education to learn about
his educational theory because he does not write analytical treatises. Instead, Plato
employs written dialogues to inspire philosophical insight in his students. In light of
Plato s dialogical style, the dramatic context introduces new complexities to the
project of figuring out Socratic pedagogy.
While many may find Plato s drama a refreshing alternative to the dry argumentation
of a treatise, it is likely that Plato s purposes are not limited to reading ease. In fact,
in many ways the use of drama makes reading Plato a great deal more complex. Plato
certainly makes use of arguments, yet frames them in real life contexts. Thus, the
reader must consider not only the nuances of argumentation, but also the characters
abilities and motives behind presenting the argument in a particular way. So the
argument should not necessarily be taken at face value; instead, such
Materialized Soccer Ball Research
PACE SPEECH
I have always wanted to know if the type of soccer ball I use in my soccer games will
help me improve in my skills. Do you think professionals check and do research on
the type of soccer ball they use? Do you think using two different materialized
soccer balls effect the distance the ball travels when a force is applied to it? Scoring a
goal in a soccer game is a difficult thing to do, but what if you know what the material
of a soccer ball is and how helpful it could be. Well the material used on a soccer ball
may be more responsive off the foot than other types of material. If you go to score
a goal from a further distance and you have the ball that is very responsive then it ll
go straight to the back of the net. If I test two different types of materialized soccer
balls to see which ball will travel the furthest, then ball, PU (Polyurethane) will travel
the greater distance, because this type of material is used more for outdoor, it s
tough and adapts to a wide temperature range. This way the ball won t rip and tear

some of its own. PVC is divided into hard and soft, it s more affordable and
durable, and it generally used in training, indoor, futsal and street soccer. Soccer

protective, until 1970 they coated leather with PU, synthetic material to protect from
damages and is more playable on wet
7 Deadly Sins In Hamlet Research Paper
In the play Hamlet by William Shakespeare, there are many of the seven deadly
sins used to show feeling, however the most prominent of the seven would
definitely be wrath. Of course all of the seven deadly sins were used in the play,
and many were very prevalent and reasonable. The sin that stood out to me the most
however, was wrath. The play started off with an envious sin being committed but
from there that sin quickly disappeared. Lust was also prevalent in a few scenes but
quickly faded; whereas wrath quickly and constantly increased each scene and once
it started I didn t see it fade out like the others.
Act 1, scene 5 of Hamlet, lines 43 92 consist of the ghost of Hamlet s father talking
about how his own death went about. He claimed that Claudius, Hamet s uncle, saw
his father napping outside in the courtyard and decided to put poison in his ear. His
father quickly awoke and began choking, thus resulting in him lying there dead only
moments later. Claudius committed this tragic sin because he felt envious over what
his brother had the title of king, a beautiful wife, and wealth. That envy quickly built
into wrath and that s when Claudius decided to take it all for himself. Hamlet s father

Thanks to Laertes and Claudius, that was poison that she drank. Even more raged

The Case Of The Nestle Baby Formula Controversy
Anthropologist can use many different approaches and specialized roles when
conducting and using their research. In the case of the Nestle Baby Formula
Controversy it was a case of medical anthropology and business anthropology. It is a
case of problem oriented research. The researchers took on the roles of advocate,
impact assessor, evaluator, and expert witness to try to combat and understand the
induction of formula in third world countries.
Before formula a baby had to be breast feed by the mother or another woman. In the
1920 s 90% of woman breastfed. As formula was promoted that fell to 38% in 1946
(Guasti). Formula sales were going great fueled by the post war baby Boom
caused by World War II. As the baby boom came to an end sales started dropping.
In the late 1970 s to the 1980 s with the reduction of formula feeding mothers in the
United States and Europe Nestle turned it s marking towards third world countries
mainly Africa, Asia, and South America. This had devastating results to young
infants in the area. The lack of clean available water and the resources to prepare the
water prevented the formula from being used in a manner it was designed for. Often
the formula would be watered down with dirty water. This caused many ill effects for
infants and could led to death. Common ailments were diarrhea, dehydration, and
intestinal infections.
Science supported that in the environments of third world countries breastfeeding was
the safe, renewable and free choice

The more time I spent around theater, the more I realized that, at it s heart, theater
is not about skill. It is not about how well you act or if you can do a killer French

I was led away from the entrance of the house, trailing behind him slowly,

Martin Luther s Nine-Five Theses Essay
Martin Luther s Ninety Five Theses Martin Luther was and monk from Germany in
the early 1500s. He came up with the ninety five theses. Basically, all the ninety five
theses were was a list of problems Luther had with the doctrines of the Catholic
Church. Luther came up with the list that condemned the Catholic Churchbecause he
was frustrated with how the Catholic Church s teachings were incorrect. He used the
printing press to print his list and spread the church s flaws to the public easier.
Martin Lutheropened the gate for many other protestant minded Christians by
standing up for his beliefs. His opinions began the era later known as the Protestant
Reformation. Martin Luther was very angry how the Catholic Church did not teach
from the Bible. The church would twist the scripture so they would get more profit
from the congregation. An example of this is indulgences. An indulgence is when
someone would give money or gifts to the Church to ensure eternal salvation.
However, that is contradictory to John 3:16 which states that all that is needed to go
to Heaven is belief in Jesus Christ. The Catholics had an inaccurate concept of
salvation. Luther encouraged Christians to not follow the teachings of the Catholic
Church but to follow Christ instead.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Along with indulgences, the church would often find ways to force the people to
pay fines. If the Church told someone to do something but it was not done exactly
how they wanted it, a fine would have to be paid or the person would be sent to
prison. Luther did not agree with how the Church was overly wealthy and sought
ways to get more money out of the members of the church. At the time, Pope Leo X
was having money raised to fund the renovation of St. Peter s Basilica in Rome.
Luther disagreed with the Pope s efforts to collect money from poor believers instead
of the wealthy church paying for the renovation
Global Warming And Its Effect On The Marine Ecosystem
Essay
The fear of global warming has been looming over people, and baffling scientists for
decades. Since it was recognised that climate change is becoming accelerated due to
human resources, the knowledge around it has been slowly evolving. Fifty years ago,
as will be discussed, thinking around the subject was quite different. Even now
experts cannot come to a consensus as to what the result of climate changewill be. It
is observed, at present, that global warminghas made a huge impact on the marine
ecosystem as the sea temperature and amount of carbon continues to rise. One of
the great concerns about global warming is its effect on the cryosphere and polar
caps, of which the science will be later explored. In addition, it is predicted that if
global warming continues to develop within the next ten years, the world will change
drastically for the worse. Body Paragraph One: Past knowledge
Fifty years ago, scientific knowledge of climate change was limited, and some
predictions were far from the results. In the 1960 s to 1970 s, what we in the present
day fear, global warming, was not an issue at all, actually, experts were concerned
about global cooling. According to this theory, proposed by Kenneth Watson of the
University of California, it was predicted that by the 21st century, the earth would
have cooled enough to send the world into an ice age, and billions of people alive
now would have died due to starvation, caused by crops being unable to grow. There

Fascist Italy and Population Essay
Overall, the fascist experiment in Italy was a failure. Benito Mussolini aimed to
make the world safe for the middle class, small business owners, property owners,
and people in the agricultural area. Through this, Mussolini gained support of the
majority of the population. There is no doubt that most of the support was actually
the work of propaganda and rhetoric rather than the В‘real thing . The government
made desperate attempts to significantly increase the birthrate in Italy. In 1927,
Mussolini launched the Battle for births . The task of young women was to get

benefits they get from the government. Mussolini s population policy failed to

Canada s Energy Sector
Canada s energy sector is probably one of the most important to Canada, and
possibly the most important to the world. In 1846, Abraham Gesner produced
kerosene from coal in Nova Scotia. He was the first man of his time to do this in
Canada. In 1870, the government of the United Kingdom handed over control of
the land used by the Hudson Bay Company to Canada. Canadian s did not realize
that the land they had been given, mainly Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba
was extremely rich in minerals, mostly fossil fuels. Canada is a major player in
energy imports and exports. Canada produces 6% of the worlds energy. In fact,
only Saudi Arabia, USA, Russia and China produce more energy than Canada.
Canada produces 33% of the worlds Uranium, and 13% of the worlds hydro
electricity, making it the largest producer of these two forms of energy in the world.
Canada is also a major supplier of coal, petroleumand natural gas. Alberta is the home
of most of Canada s oil and coal fields.

The emerge of the cloud computing is becoming one of the most important virtual
technologies. Cloud computing enables organizations to solve more complex tasks
and services. The application of the cloud platform makes organizations more cost
effective and simplify complicated workloads. The development of this technology
has brought a dramatic change in every field. The use of the cloud computing in the
library system has achieved a significant success. Libraries have also started adopting
this technology, which involves delivering hosted service over the web. Managers
now spend less money on the development and procurement of computing resources
and peripherals. Cloud computing is the best option for the libraries to solve the
above mentioned problem. What is cloud computing? Cloud computing is a practice
of storing, collecting and sharing data and resources through web based tools. It
connects many computers together and forms a bigger computer. The biggest
characteristic of cloud technology is flexibility. This refers to the ability of system
adapting and scale to change in workload. Cloud computing can automatically
provision and deprovision information to ensure it satisfies the latest resource
demands (Interoute, What is Cloud Computing). There are different levels of security
and management requirements that fit almost all the companies. Cloud computing

Trifles Analysis
Woman
Susan Glaspell shows her readers that women will no longer be in the background.
By writing Trifles she gave women an outlook they have never received before.
Trifles is a coming up story about women, in other words its about women and their
rise to power. Glaspell embodies the women spirit by showing the power, conning,
and intectellt of the women in her play.
When people think of power the first thing that comes to mind is a man Women are
shown to be weak, mindless and serving, but in Trifles Glaspell depicts women to
have more fire and power. In 1900 s women were housewives they did not own
anything and did what they were told kind of like slaves. Trifles shows Mrs. Peters,
Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Wright as something much more than that. Right in the beginning
(1860) it shows that Mrs. Wright might have committed murder.Trifles shows that
this woman could have possess the power to kill a man. That was unheard of in the
1900 s because women did not speak out or defend themselves against a man. Mrs.
Hale shows just a snippet of her power when The County Attorney on page (1861)
says Dirty towels! Not much of a housekeeper, would you say, ladies? Mrs.Hale
claps back with There s a great deal of work to be done on a farm. Mrs. Hales
defends Mrs. Wright because she knows just how difficult it is to maintain a
household and didn t feel that was necessary because they had Mrs. Wright leave
in a hurry. Mrs. Hale yet again shows she is not afraid of what is to come on page
(1864) she undoes the knot on the quilt and the sewing comes undone. Mrs.Hale at
this time knows that this quilt is evidence but does not care and starts to sew. Mrs.
Peters finally shows she is capable of having powerful demeanor on page (1866) she
says ...If they hadn t held me back I would have... hurt him. A boy killed her cat and
that made her angry enough to think about hurting and possibly killing him. Power
has many different forms and women are starting to take on that form.
Women are capable of many things and being conning is just one of them. People
lie all the time to get away with things they do not want to get in trouble for. For a
woman to lie was unheard of especially to an attorney and sheriff. Mrs.
The Moral Obligation Of Affluent Individuals
The question on whether affluent individuals have a moral obligation to assist the
poor is a widely controversial subject, and this was even apparent in our very own
ethical reasoning class. So the question still stands, is it our duty to assist the poor?
The answer is much simpler than people make it out to be. Yes.
While this answer is widely based of off my own opinion as well as those of Peter
Singer, I am prepared to defend my answer not only with the Singers evidence but
also with my own thoughts and motives. But I don t believe that only the rich
should feel the moral obligation to assist the poor, I believe everyone should do
whatever we can to help one another. I do not believe that people should be forced
into helping one another by laws and government authorities, but instead that it is the
simply the right thing to do. First off I am going to explain the details of Singers
argument for the moral obligation of affluent individuals to assist the poor. Singer
basis his argument off utilitarian grounds, so generally promoting whatever promotes
the most happiness for the most people. Here are Singers three main premises. First,
if we have the power to prevent something bad from happening without having to
sacrifice too much then morally we should do it. Second, poverty is the number one
source of human misery. And third, those who are well off have a moral obligation
to help reduce poverty, but they do not necessarily have to sacrifice everything or
anything of too

We took readings every 15 minutes, until the class was over which was at the 90
minute mark.
For the temperature and aeration trials, the test tubes of Escherichia coli with tryptic
soy broth (TSB) were measured using identical procedures as the nutrient trials were
tested. Before every sample, we had to re zero the spectrophotometer with a blank test
tube, and then we took the reading from the cultured tubes. As we did for the nutrient
experiments, we also took the readings from the temperature and aeration samples
every 15 minutes. The temperature test tube was prepared by exposing it to room
temperature (25В°C), another test tube in an oven (33В°C), and the test tube in a lab
oven which was slightly warmer, at 37В°C.
In the aeration samples, one flask was stationary and it was exposed to the
atmosphere. The second sample was put in a regular flask, and placed in a shaking
water bath. The third sample was placed in an irregular shaped flask, which was also
placed in the quivering water bath. After treatment, all the samples were measured on
the spectrophotometer, using the same procedure as the nutrient samples and
temperature samples.
Results
The results showed that the experimental data did not necessarily display the lowest
MGT. For the nutrient data, the MSG had a mean generation time of an hour, the
MSGT had a doubling time of less than 13 minutes, and the MSGTYE had a mean
generation time

17th Century Virginia Dbq Analysis
In the seventeenth century, Virginia came across many hardships and conflicts that
affected them socially and economically. Disease, famine, and the fear of Native
Americans, were some of the many hardships that the Virginians had to face at this
time. Their efforts to overcome these misfortunate circumstances changed the
Virginian colony over the course of the century. A lot of the economic hardships that
were dealt with during this time had to do with the land. The colonists at first
believed that the land that they had settled on was a blessing, and that Virginiawas

more in depth with their lives in Virginia, they soon realized that Virginia was not
Reflection Paper For Teachers
During the month of November, I became our school s acting testing coordinator.
Our testing coordinator was in an accident and went out on medical leave. She was
suddenly out for an undetermined amount of time and with a severe concussion
was unable to remember what she completed and what she did not. During her
absence, there were two assessments and a survey that needed to me completed.
These assessments included SAT 10, FFT (Teacher Survey) and MAP R. This was
a very demanding experience. The first thing that needed to be completed was the
FFT Teacher Survey. This is important to all teachers on cycle using the
Framework for Teaching. The Survey is a vital component to a teachers overall
effectiveness. If left incomplete, the teacher receives a score of zero for that
portion. When I became the acting testing coordinator, only two weeks were left in
the window and no surveys were completed. Within two weeks, I needed to
complete 167 surveys for 7 teachers. Unfortunately, the teachers could not assist in
this endeavor. I tried to create a schedule were I was able to conduct all 167 surveys.
This was impossible if I was still going to meet with my intervention students.

Introduction To maximize student academic and social success and to encourage
lifelong learning and citizenship. is the mission statement for Van Buren Elementary
School. In order to maximize student achievement teacher leaders and administration
must work in unison to identify goals for improvement. By analyzing data teacher
leaders, administrators, and teachers can work together to derive a goal in the area
of literacy instruction pertinent to our school. According to Taylor and Francis, By
design or default, teachers also are leaders of change, whether they promote it,
support it, resist it, or ignore it. (Taylor Francis, 2014, 102 103) Henceforth, teacher
leadership will be essential to achieve our literacy instruction goals.
Identification of Problem Area
Iowa adopted a Universal Screener (FAST, Iowa Tier) in 2013, which is a universal
screening in reading for grades K 3. Students that scored substantially deficient in
reading were then required to be progress monitored weekly, provided intensive
reading instruction, which includes 90 minutes a day of scientific, research based
reading instruction, notification of parents, and finally, grade level retention if the
student is not proficient by the end of third grade. The students in grades K 3 are
universally screened three times per year.
Iowa schools are also required to provide an intensive summer reading program for
any student who is substantially deficient in reading by May 1, 2017. Additionally,
Who Is The Narrator Of Bartleby The Scrivener
The Narrator and Bartleby
In Herman Melville s short story, Bartleby, the Scrivener, the storyteller s aura
towards Bartleby is ceaselessly changing, the storyteller s attitude is gone on through
the maker s use of theoretical parts, for instance, lingual power particular and
occupying, point of view first individual, and tone confuse and inconvenience.
One of the unique parts that Melville uses that go on the storyteller s mindset
towards Bartleby is style. The maker s style in this short story is astoundingly
hypnotizing and is moreover imperceptibly silly. One of the ways this is used is the
time when the maker carefully scorns the storyteller
Dr. Firestine Biochemistry
Biochemistry can be defined as the science of Biology and Chemistry combined.
When people hear the scientific term of Biology, they know that it is the study of life.
However, when people hear the scientific term of Chemistry, it can be defined as the
study of interaction along with the study of matter. Biochemistryis the branch of
science that explores the chemical processes within and related to living organism (
What is Biochemistry 1). Biochemistry is the major for people who have an interest

Bulimia Nervosa Effect
Cause and Effect Essay Bulimia Nervosa is a psychological and severe life
threatening eating disorder described by the ingestion of large amounts of food in a
small amount and then doing things such as misusing laxatives and self induced
vomiting.
Bulimia Nervosa can be caused by abuse and/or trauma. For instance, a woman could
be in an abusive relationship where the man is constantly calling her fat. She may
binge eat and then purge right after to lose the weight. Purging is the act of trying to
control body weight by misuse of laxatives, self induced vomiting, or diuretics.
Another cause of Bulimia nervosa could be having a job or profession that focuses
on body image. An example of this is: a man going for an interview at a modeling
agency. The manager says everything about the man is perfect except his excess
body fat around his abdomen. So he begins to binge eat for about a day and then
vomits for a day. Binge eating is the process of eating more than your daily value in
one sitting; or a few hours. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These effects include chronic dehydration and infertility.
One of the effects of bulimia nervosa is chronic dehydration. Some symptoms of
chronic dehydration include constipation, high blood pressure, and high cholesterol.
Also, this can cause low levels of sodium, potassium, and magnesium.
The next effect of bulimia nervosa is infertility. Infertility is not being able to get
pregnant, despite having carefully timed, unprotected sexual activity for a year or
over.
Finally, there are many causes and effects of bulimia nervosa. A few of the causes
are abuse or trauma; another cause is having a job or profession that focuses on
physical image. A few of the effects are chronic dehydration, and infertility. These
things all play into the process of
Human Trafficking And The Trade Of Human Sex
Trafficking...
Between the time periods of 2005 and 2008, 10 countries in the region introduced
new anti trafficking laws or modified old ones. The United Nations has also picked up
the fight against ending all forms of modern slavery including human sex trafficking.
The U.N implemented the a protocol that focuses on (1) prevention and combat of
trafficking persons, paying particular attention to women and children; (2) to protect
and assist the victims of such trafficking, with full respect for their human rights; and
(3) to promote cooperation among States Parties in order to meet those objectives.
(UN Trafficking Protocol ) Europe, Asia, Africa, the U.N., the United States, and
other nations are fighting and implementing policies to contest to the world s
organized crime networks and combat the trade of human sex trafficking.
The U.S. needs to continue being more proactive concerning human trafficking and
the end of slavery. Some may ask how does human sex trafficking affect the U.S or
its foreign policy? Perhaps others ask if policies are already intact dealing with this
issue what more can we do? Well, one of the most basic but fundamental ways
human sex trafficking affects the foundation of this nation and any U.S foreign
policies deals with democracy. This nation was founded on the fundamental beliefs
and constitutional principles of our core democratic values. These core democratic
values are what constitutes the United States and provides a model as a superpower
for the world.
Persuasive Essay On Pedestrians
Walk Your Wheels: The Danger of Bicycles in Pedestrian Sidewalks
I glance down at my phone for a moment and I realize that my 15 minute margin of
travel time to race across campus to my class is dwindling; I look up only to find
an individual on a bicycle hurdling toward me, clearly, incapable of stopping in
time, I scramble out of the way in an attempt to save myself from becoming roadkill.
This is a common occurrence for student pedestrians on their way to class given the
increasing number of bicyclists and skateboarders that refrain from following
university transportation laws, however, instead of criminalizing the act of using
these modes of transportation on pedestrian sidewalks the university should make it
safer and more efficient for these individuals to share the roads with cars by installing
bicycle lanes. This issue is important to all campus residents, since the incorrect use
of transportation could jeopardize their safety and should be carefully considered in
order to prevent accidents. This proposal argument will aim at persuading university
officials, specifically those in charge of the university transportation services, to
reconsider their handling of bicycle and other non motorized transportation rules and
safety on campus. There are many rules that bicyclists and other alternative
transportation users must follow, for example, bicycles [are] not [to] be ridden on
sidewalks or any pedestrian paths in the limited bike zone [central campus] , yet not
Relationship Between Babylonians And Babylonians
Mesopotamia is one of the oldest civilizations. The civilization contained many city
states and Babylon is one of them. At its height, Babylon was one of the largest,
most important cities of the ancient world. It came to be understood in Akkadian as
bab ili, meaning gate of the god, also written in Sumerian as ka dingir ra, which has
the same meaning. Around 2050 2000 BC, the great kingdom of the Sumerians was
attacked by external invaders. Sumeria had been a powerful kingdom in the western
part of Asia, and it had roughly occupied the land that one day had become Babylonia
.The history of Babylonia is considered to have started with Hammurabi, who
became the king of the city of Baby lon in 1792 BC. Hammurabi enlarged his
kingdom and established... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
They used more than 350 signs in their writing. They used to write on soft clay
tablets by pen made of bone and bamboo. Then they baked tablets on sun shine and
kept one after another. During the reign of Hammurabi, the famous Emperor of
Babylon, education spread in the look and corner of that land.
He established many schools for the students. The Babylonian boys put emphasis on
writing, reading and Mathematics and girls were fond of song and dance. From the
ruins of a Babylonia an inspiring sentence was written on the wall of school. That
sentence was He who shall excel in tablet writing shall shine like the sun . This
shows the love of the Babylonians for education.
In ancient writings the Hanging Gardens of Babylon were first described by
Berossus, a Chaldaean priest who lived in the late 4th century BCE. In his book
Babyloniaca, written around 280 BCE, he describes the gardens and attributes them
to the great Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar II. Many other Greek historians went
on to provide detailed descriptions of the gardens, citing either Berossus work, or
from accounts of other ancients.
Catalase Test Essay
Results The catalase test was positive for unknown #4. After addition of hydrogen
peroxide the sample began to bubble. The bubbles indicated that the unknown
produced catalase that broke down the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen gas
( Microbugz ). The initial coagulase test was inconclusive. After the addition of
coagulase in the second attempt, the sample began to clump indicating that the
unknown bacteria possessed the ability to produce fibrin barriers ( Microbugz ).
After the 18 hour incubation period, the bile esculin tube turned completely brown.
This indicated that unknown #4 could hydrolyze esculin to esculetin and dextrose
which reacts with the ferric citrate in the media to produce a dark brown or black
color ( Microbugz ).... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
aureus. Since B. subtilus was not an organism available in the lab, at this point, it
was safe to assume that unknown #4 was S. aureus. The positive results for the
bile esculin and blood agar and the negative SFB results provided further evidence
of S. aureus. The only test that did not go as planned was the MSA. No growth was
observed on either of the plates even though S. aureus can grow in hypersaline
environments and ferment mannitol. The plate should have turned yellow from acid
production and exhibited growth. Perhaps the sample was dying and couldn t grow
on either MSA plate or the strain possessed a mutation that took away its ability to
grow on that media. The only way to know for sure would be to run more tests and
perhaps a sequence of the genome to scan for mutations or abnormalities. However,
the back up TSA slant turning blue, albeit not a biochemical test, also supported the
conclusion that S. aureus was unknown #4 because S. aureus can turn TSA slants
blue. The Gram negative rod, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, can also turn TSA slants blue
because of pyocyanin production, but the majority of the biochemical tests supported
S.
The Failure Of The Bay Of Pigs Invasion
The Bay of Pigs invasion was one of the most surprising and embarrassing foreign
policy mishaps in the history of the United States. The invasion was such a failure, in
fact, that it resulted in the empowerment of the enemy it intended to defeat.
The conditions for the Bay of Pigs invasion were set by a political power shift in Cuba
. In 1959 a Cuban revolution led to the overthrow of President Fulgencia Batista,
who was replaced by leftist Fidel Castro ( The Bay of Pigs ). Castro quickly
reorganized and rebuilt the Cuban government. Much to the dismay of the United
States, this new government severed the ties between Cuba and the United States,
expropriated any U.S. economic assets in Cuba, and began building a strong
relationship with the Soviet Union ( The Bay of Pigs ). Due to Cuba s close
geographic location, the United States saw revolutionized Cuba as a threat to national
security. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Namely, Castro and his regime. President Dwight D. Eisenhower began preparations
to do just that. In March of 1960, Eisenhower ordered the Central Intelligence
Agency (CIA) to concoct a plan to overthrow Castro. The CIA s subsequent plan
involved training, arming, and funding a group of exiled counter revolutionary
Cubans that became known as Brigade 2506. President Kennedy, elected the same
year, concurred with former president Eisenhower that the Castro regime was a threat
and gave the green light for the continuation of the CIA s operation ( The Bay of

  • 4. Coronary Artery Disease Essay One of the major implications that can be caused by heart disease is a heart attack. The definition of a heart attack is when oxygen rich blood is suddenly blocked off to a section of the heart. This makes the heart unable to get oxygen, and if not restored, leads to the death of that section of the heart. (NIH, 2015) This can be caused in a few different ways. The most frequent cause for a heart attack is coronary artery disease, which is further explained in the What is Heart Disease? section. The basic definition, though, is when plaque builds up in a person s coronary arteries. Coronary arteries are the arteries that supply oxygen rich bloodto a person s heart. (NIH, 2015) This gradual build up of plaque in the arteries is known as atherosclerosis and takes place over the course of many years. The prescence of plaque in the arteries is not enough to cause a heart attack, though. There needs to be a complete blockage of the coronal artery. This blockage can be caused by a rupture in the artery at an area of plaque. The rupture causes a blood clot to form on the surface of the... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This spasm can constrict the artery to the point that it completely blocks off blood flow to a section of the heart. (AHA, 2016) Heart attacks are very serious events and can lead to even more severe complications. These complications include arrhythmias and heart failure. Arrhythmias are irregular heartbeats that can be fatal in some cases. (AHA, 2016) You can find more information about arrhythmias here. Heart failure occurs when the heart is unable to pump blood at a high enough rate to keep up with the body s needs. Heart attacks and the complications that come with them can be minimized, though, if it is treated quickly. This relies on keeping the public informed about what a heart attack looks or feels like and what to do if one takes
  • 5. Chinese Culture Vs American Culture I stand between two worlds: the American and the Chinese culture, one which I was born into, the other I was raised into. The two doctrines drag at me constantly with a noose around my neck constantly warning me of accepting the other doctrine. Throughout my life, my family functioned on a basic norm: to not trust others and to value only the worth of my family, yet within the American institution, I learned to function upon the doctrines of cooperation and individualism. My life was thus a constant balance and strife as my parents saw in me undesirable traits that would, in the Chinese culture, rendered me empty minded, without a thought of my own, or blatantly, an easily deceived idiot. Through the lens of my family, I viewed the world through
  • 6. List Price And Agent Feedback On The Weekly Calls As RMS has indicated many times, based on our observations and more importantly on the review of assets during our weekly calls with Altisource, RMS continues to believe on many of these assets, the condition or location of the property is the primary driver behind not only the large reduction in list price, but ultimately a sales price well below the initial list price, all of which contribute to extended days on market and increased carrying costs incurred by the trust. This is an ongoing issue observed with Altisource and discussed on the weekly calls. List price continues to be the biggest concern and is a frequent topic during our weekly target assets and RMS raises these issues on an asset level basis, reviewing activity, property condition, agent feedback and offers (or lack thereof). RMS continues to review assets where we believe the list price set by Altisource is high relative to our opinion of market value. On listed assets with DOM of more than 60 days and no offers, RMS and Altisource discuss the list price and agent feedback to understand why offers have not been received. RMS targets these assets for review every 2 weeks. Another recent observation is a continued increase in the number of assets in pending contracts that fall out because the buyer fails to return the purchase agreement. RMS continued to observe this in January 2016. We believe this relates to the process by which Altisource sells REO assets (on the HUBZU website), where
  • 7. Balanchine In Modern Dance It is thus indisputable that Balanchine s revolutionary choreography is still revered to this day. In addition, Symons personally recognizes Balanchine as historically, the most influential figure who contributed to modern dance. In a recent questionnaire she wrote of how He transformed dance into unconventional classical lines, turned in (parallel) shapes and revolutionised costume design away from the traditionalism of the classical tutu (Symons, 2017). His choreography was considered unorthodox as Balanchine took traditional classical steps and experimented with them in a way that people hadn t seen before (Kisselgoff, 1983). After failing at many attempts to open a modern classical school, an opportunity to co fund a strictly regimented and traditional balletsociety was offered to him, he gladly accepted and eventually incorporated his neo classical style into the traditional performances. Soon his work became famous amongst ballet associates around the world (Kisselgoff, 1983). When Balanchine s choreography is compared to that of typical romantic ballet, there is clearly a difference between the unyielding fundamentals of ballet and the constant changing details in Balanchine s work. The main element that set Balanchine apart from other contemporary choreographers at the time was his use of music (NYCB, 2002). Balanchine grew up with a composer as a father, when he began devising routines he used music to set the tone of the performance (NYCB, 2002). Balanchine
  • 8. Theorems Of A Penalty Kick Now, how do these two theorems help in analysing a penalty shootout? Let us first see what a penalty kick is? When do players receive a penalty kick? Penalty kick is a direct free kick that is taken from the penalty spot which is 12 yards from the goal. Only the goalkeeper is allowed to stand between the player taking the penalty kick and the goal. All other players need to stand behind the penalty taker. Penalty kicks are performed during normal play. They are awarded when a foul that is punishable by a direct free kick is committed within the offending player s own penalty area. Similar kicks are made in a penalty shootout in major international tournaments such as the World Cup to determine which team is victorious after a drawn match. So the striker lines up with the ball in front of him. He runs forwards and kicks the ball towards the net and the goalkeeper tries to stop it. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Although the goalkeeper dives after the striker has kicked the ball, he cannot actually wait to the ball comes off the foot to decide which way to dive because the ball moves so fast, it will already be behind him by the time he finishes his dive. So the goalkeeper must pick his strategy before observing any relevant information from the striker. This type of game is actually very common. Both players pick a side. One player wants to match sides (the goalie), while the other wants to mismatch (the striker). That is, from the striker s perspective, the goalkeeper wants to dive left when the striker kicks left and dive right when the striker kicks right; the striker wants to kick left when the goalie dives right and kick right when the goalie dives left. The same case happens in basketball where a shooter wants a defender to break the wrong way to give him an open lane to the basket, while the defender wants to stay lined up with the ball
  • 9. The Focus 2 Assessment The Focus 2 Assessment confirmed what type of person I am. The three main tasks that make me the person I am are helping others, being organized, and doing the task. I knew that I was really effective at organizing and doing the task, but not so much helping. I am more quiet and sometimes it is difficult for me to explain certain concepts to people without making that person more confused than they probably already are. The Focus 2 Assessment made me realize that it is not bad to be the person I am because I can easily affect someone just as much as someone else can affect me. The Focus 2 assessment made me realize the career field that I want to pursue. After completing the work interest and personality assessment, the occupation that
  • 10. Sociological Analysis Of Hip Hop And Rap Music 1.) In this class we have examined the sociological forces that created the social conditions from which Hip Hop emerged in the Bronx. Drawing upon Chang, as well as videos (Bronx is Burning, Flying Cut Sleeves etc.), discuss the sociological roots of rap. Specifically, what social forces (for example: state policies, global economic trends, technological advancements, community characteristics as well as race, class, gender politics) were present and facilitated the development of Hip Hop? Hip Hop is an extensive and a broad conglomerate of various artistic forms that ultimately originated in the South Bronx and then quickly spread throughout the rest of New York City among African Americans and other African American youth mainly from the Caribbean and from Jamaica during the 1970 s. Over the course of decades and recent years, controversy surrounding Hip Hop and rap music has been the vanguard of the media. From the over hype of the East and West Coast rivalry to the deaths of Tupac, Biggie, and even Michael Brown and Trayvon Martin, it seems that political and broadcasting groups have been injudicious to place essentially the blame on rap and Hip Hop music for a superficial trend in youth violence. Even though critics are very quick to point out the vehement and intense lyrics of some Hip Hop artists, they are ultimately missing the point of their message. Similar to other different forms of music, Hip Hop and rap cannot be understood unless it is studied and analyzed

  • 12. The Mexican Peso Crisis Essay The Mexican Peso Crisis This paper argues that the Mexican peso crisis of December 20 should have been expected and foreseeable. In the year preceding the crisis, there were several indicators suggesting that the Mexican economy and peso were already under extreme pressure. The economy bubble was ballooning to burst so much so that it was simply a crisis waiting to happen. Evidences Signaling the Crisis 1. Decreasing Current Account Deficit versus Increasing Capital Account Balance Mexico was running an increasing current account deficit from US$7.5 billion in 1990 to US$23.4 billion in 1993. This indicates an excess of private investing over private savings. However, the country was able to maintain an improving fiscal ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Colosio. To counter the impact of federal fund rate increase on peso, Mexican government raised the domestic interest rate by selling more short term government bonds. The interest rate for peso denominated cetes rose to 15.79% in April 1994 and increased to 17.07% in July 1994. However, in the second half of 1994, the Mexican government started to reduce the interest rate, contrary to the federal fund rate. Also, more of dollar denominated tesobonos were issued aggressively instead of peso denominated cetes. This was likely due to investors being more willing to hold tesobonos as they will be covered against the risks of devaluation and also lower interest rate for tesobonos than cetes. This was an indication that there was a loss in confidence for peso (i.e. people expected that the peso will devaluate to a point that even the differential in interest will not be able to cover and so were unwilling to hold on to peso denominated bonds). 4. Declining Real GDP Growth The Mexico?s inflation rate was really not in control as promised by the Mexican government. The Consumer Price Index was on the rise and real GDP growth has declined from 4.5% in 1990 to 0.6% in 1993. This shows that Mexico will experience more rapid inflation than United States in the coming year. This also means that Mexico peso will lose more value than US dollar during the year ahead. Hence, there will be an

  • 15. Information Integration Theory With the age all of the numbers were very close together, so I think most just guessed. Which is why the numbers are fairly consistent. With your father s occupation for me the pilot seemed plausible. Maybe it wouldn t seem very likely if we lived anywhere else but with the wright Patterson air force base so close by it was a strong possibility that he could have been a pilot. Not just the Wright Patt, but with Ohio being one of the birth places of aviation, the possibility got stronger. At least in my mind. Writing with wit and humor, Weiner had me laughing on every page. To summarize the novel, Weiner sets out to countries that are deemed happy, such as the Netherlands, Bhutan, and Qatar to try and figure out what happinessis, but also why is it in that given location? Dictionary.com defines Human Geography as the study of the interaction between human beings and their environment in particular places and across spatial areas. Relating to the book, how does geography affect happiness? The nineteenth century Italian painter Giovanni Segantini once said that people of the mountains see the sun rise and set as a golden fireball, full of life and energy, while flatlanders know only a tired and drunk sun (Weiner 35). From the results proven by Weiner, geography does affect happiness. Bhutan is a tiny nation in the foothills of the Himalayas and was introduced to TV in 1999, but nonetheless, the people always seem happy (Weiner 90). When the question gets raised, If you took [a Bhutanese citizen] to America, they would see what they re missing, Weiner responds with the fact that 90 percent of Bhutanese who study abroad return, forsaking western style incomes for life in Bhutan (Weiner 90). Geography clearly has an effect on happiness, because these individuals are turning down more money and jobs to return home to the place in which they feel

It is obvious that men are seen as the most dominant figure throughout the story Frankenstein written by Mary Shelley. You can see that in the 1800 s, women were restricted to many commodities In the novel the reader can tell how she is able to prove that women are shown to be possessions other than independent like the men. You can immediately tell that Shelley s novel gives feminist qualities. Many interpreters actually view Shelley as someone who is centered around men when it comes to looking at the genderroles. As you can see in the novel most of the women are very quiet and actually all share something in common. Women back then and to this day can t stand up for themselves when it comes to men. Unlike Shelley she is able to reach out to her audience and let them visualize how important women really are. We can see that women are actually smart and can be confusing people. Unfortunately she is also able to show women such as Justine, elizabeth and Caroline as a control by the men in the novel, Frankenstein. The definition of feminism can be interpreted in multiple ways. But the way that many see it as is ... a political, cultural or economic movement aimed at establishing equal rights and legal protection for women (The History and Theory of Feminism). Humans today believe that there are theories or philosophies pertaining to feminism. For example, the issue of gender

Men were more likely the women to believe that there are material objects, that spirits have human form, that there is pain, hunger, thirst and that rituals carried out after death are important. The religious differences they found were that Protestant students were less likely to believe in life after death then Roman Catholic students. On the other hand, Protestant students were more likely to believe that there is Hell and that forgiveness needs to be requested to get into Heaven. One of the strengths that this article has is that they provided a broad hypothesis. Researching Socratic Pedagogy and Education in Plato s Republic ABSTRACT: Though Plato never wrote a dialogue that explicitly asks, What is education? , few argue that he is uninterested in the subject; after all, Plato, like Socrates, was a teacher. In his magnum opus, the Republic, Plato deals with education repeatedly. The eduction of the guardian class and the allegory of the cave present two landmark pedagogical passages. Yet to catch a glimpseof Socratic pedagogy, we must first sift through the intricacies of dialogue. In addition to the complexity inherent in dramatic context, it seems clear that Socrates remarks are often steeped in irony. Thus, we stumble upon a problem: how should we read these passages on education? Does ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... The first portion of this paper will analyze various dramatic elements that indicate Socrates ironic intent with respect to the education of the guardians. The second portion will focus on the allegory of the cave as Socrates genuine conception of ideal paideia (or education). II. Dramatic Context and the Introduction of Irony A. Conventional Irony Unfortunately perhaps, we cannot look at Plato s treatise on education to learn about his educational theory because he does not write analytical treatises. Instead, Plato employs written dialogues to inspire philosophical insight in his students. In light of Plato s dialogical style, the dramatic context introduces new complexities to the project of figuring out Socratic pedagogy. While many may find Plato s drama a refreshing alternative to the dry argumentation of a treatise, it is likely that Plato s purposes are not limited to reading ease. In fact, in many ways the use of drama makes reading Plato a great deal more complex. Plato certainly makes use of arguments, yet frames them in real life contexts. Thus, the reader must consider not only the nuances of argumentation, but also the characters abilities and motives behind presenting the argument in a particular way. So the argument should not necessarily be taken at face value; instead, such

Of course all of the seven deadly sins were used in the play, and many were very prevalent and reasonable. The sin that stood out to me the most however, was wrath. Lust was also prevalent in a few scenes but quickly faded; whereas wrath quickly and constantly increased each scene and once it started I didn t see it fade out like the others. In the case of the Nestle Baby Formula Controversy it was a case of medical anthropology and business anthropology. It is a case of problem oriented research. The researchers took on the roles of advocate, impact assessor, evaluator, and expert witness to try to combat and understand the induction of formula in third world countries. Before formula a baby had to be breast feed by the mother or another woman. In the 1920 s 90% of woman breastfed. As formula was promoted that fell to 38% in 1946 (Guasti). Formula sales were going great fueled by the post war baby Boom caused by World War II. As the baby boom came to an end sales started dropping. In the late 1970 s to the 1980 s with the reduction of formula feeding mothers in the United States and Europe Nestle turned it s marking towards third world countries mainly Africa, Asia, and South America. This had devastating results to young infants in the area. The lack of clean available water and the resources to prepare the water prevented the formula from being used in a manner it was designed for. Often the formula would be watered down with dirty water. This caused many ill effects for infants and could led to death. Common ailments were diarrhea, dehydration, and intestinal infections. Science supported that in the environments of third world countries breastfeeding was the safe, renewable and free choice

He used the printing press to print his list and spread the church s flaws to the public easier. Martin Lutheropened the gate for many other protestant minded Christians by standing up for his beliefs. His opinions began the era later known as the Protestant Reformation. Martin Luther was very angry how the Catholic Church did not teach from the Bible. The church would twist the scripture so they would get more profit from the congregation. An example of this is indulgences. An indulgence is when someone would give money or gifts to the Church to ensure eternal salvation. However, that is contradictory to John 3:16 which states that all that is needed to go to Heaven is belief in Jesus Christ. The Catholics had an inaccurate concept of salvation. It is observed, at present, that global warminghas made a huge impact on the marine ecosystem as the sea temperature and amount of carbon continues to rise. One of the great concerns about global warming is its effect on the cryosphere and polar caps, of which the science will be later explored. In addition, it is predicted that if global warming continues to develop within the next ten years, the world will change drastically for the worse. When people think of power the first thing that comes to mind is a man Women are shown to be weak, mindless and serving, but in Trifles Glaspell depicts women to have more fire and power. In 1900 s women were housewives they did not own anything and did what they were told kind of like slaves. Trifles shows Mrs. Peters, Mrs. Hale and Mrs. Wright as something much more than that. Right in the beginning (1860) it shows that Mrs. Wright might have committed murder.Trifles shows that this woman could have possess the power to kill a man. That was unheard of in the 1900 s because women did not speak out or defend themselves against a man. Mrs. Hale shows just a snippet of her power when The County Attorney on page (1861) says Dirty towels! Not much of a housekeeper, would you say, ladies? Mrs.Hale claps back with There s a great deal of work to be done on a farm. Mrs. Hales defends Mrs. Wright because she knows just how difficult it is to maintain a household and didn t feel that was necessary because they had Mrs. Wright leave in a hurry. Mrs. Hale yet again shows she is not afraid of what is to come on page (1864) she undoes the knot on the quilt and the sewing comes undone. Mrs.Hale at this time knows that this quilt is evidence but does not care and starts to sew. Mrs. Peters finally shows she is capable of having powerful demeanor on page (1866) she says ...If they hadn t held me back I would have... hurt him. A boy killed her cat and that made her angry enough to think about hurting and possibly killing him. Power has many different forms and women are starting to take on that form. Women are capable of many things and being conning is just one of them. People lie all the time to get away with things they do not want to get in trouble for. For a woman to lie was unheard of especially to an attorney and sheriff. Mrs.
  • 37. The Moral Obligation Of Affluent Individuals The question on whether affluent individuals have a moral obligation to assist the poor is a widely controversial subject, and this was even apparent in our very own ethical reasoning class. So the question still stands, is it our duty to assist the poor? The answer is much simpler than people make it out to be. Yes. While this answer is widely based of off my own opinion as well as those of Peter Singer, I am prepared to defend my answer not only with the Singers evidence but also with my own thoughts and motives. But I don t believe that only the rich should feel the moral obligation to assist the poor, I believe everyone should do whatever we can to help one another. I do not believe that people should be forced into helping one another by laws and government authorities, but instead that it is the simply the right thing to do. First off I am going to explain the details of Singers argument for the moral obligation of affluent individuals to assist the poor. Singer basis his argument off utilitarian grounds, so generally promoting whatever promotes the most happiness for the most people. Here are Singers three main premises. First, if we have the power to prevent something bad from happening without having to sacrifice too much then morally we should do it. Second, poverty is the number one source of human misery. And third, those who are well off have a moral obligation to help reduce poverty, but they do not necessarily have to sacrifice everything or anything of too

Introduction In this experiment, the gram negative bacterium Escherichia coli is being subjected to various environmental factors that affect the rate of growth. These factors scrutinized were the different types of nutrients, the intensity of aeration, or the temperature at which it was stored. The purpose of this lab is to determine which factor affects the Escherichia coli the greatest. It is known that these abiotic factors affect the rate of growth the greatest if they remain at the correct conditions for living. Escherichia coli and other bacteria will go through four phases; a lag phase, log phase, stationary phase, and a death phase. In the lag phase, the bacteria reproduce fairly slowly, as they are preparing for the rapid ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... We took readings every 15 minutes, until the class was over which was at the 90 minute mark. For the temperature and aeration trials, the test tubes of Escherichia coli with tryptic soy broth (TSB) were measured using identical procedures as the nutrient trials were tested. Before every sample, we had to re zero the spectrophotometer with a blank test tube, and then we took the reading from the cultured tubes. As we did for the nutrient experiments, we also took the readings from the temperature and aeration samples every 15 minutes. The temperature test tube was prepared by exposing it to room temperature (25В°C), another test tube in an oven (33В°C), and the test tube in a lab oven which was slightly warmer, at 37В°C. In the aeration samples, one flask was stationary and it was exposed to the atmosphere. The second sample was put in a regular flask, and placed in a shaking water bath. The third sample was placed in an irregular shaped flask, which was also placed in the quivering water bath. After treatment, all the samples were measured on the spectrophotometer, using the same procedure as the nutrient samples and temperature samples. Results The results showed that the experimental data did not necessarily display the lowest MGT. For the nutrient data, the MSG had a mean generation time of an hour, the MSGT had a doubling time of less than 13 minutes, and the MSGTYE had a mean generation time

She was suddenly out for an undetermined amount of time and with a severe concussion was unable to remember what she completed and what she did not. During her absence, there were two assessments and a survey that needed to me completed. These assessments included SAT 10, FFT (Teacher Survey) and MAP R. This was a very demanding experience. The first thing that needed to be completed was the FFT Teacher Survey. This is important to all teachers on cycle using the Framework for Teaching. The Survey is a vital component to a teachers overall effectiveness. If left incomplete, the teacher receives a score of zero for that portion. When I became the acting testing coordinator, only two weeks were left in the window and no surveys were completed. Within two weeks, I needed to complete 167 surveys for 7 teachers. Unfortunately, the teachers could not assist in this endeavor. I tried to create a schedule were I was able to conduct all 167 surveys. This was impossible if I was still going to meet with my intervention students. Therefore, I rounded up a team of individuals that had opportunity and the willingness to assist. This is a common occurrence for student pedestrians on their way to class given the increasing number of bicyclists and skateboarders that refrain from following university transportation laws, however, instead of criminalizing the act of using these modes of transportation on pedestrian sidewalks the university should make it safer and more efficient for these individuals to share the roads with cars by installing bicycle lanes. This issue is important to all campus residents, since the incorrect use of transportation could jeopardize their safety and should be carefully considered in order to prevent accidents. This proposal argument will aim at persuading university officials, specifically those in charge of the university transportation services, to reconsider their handling of bicycle and other non motorized transportation rules and safety on campus. There are many rules that bicyclists and other alternative transportation users must follow, for example, bicycles [are] not [to] be ridden on sidewalks or any pedestrian paths in the limited bike zone [central campus] , yet not

The bubbles indicated that the unknown produced catalase that broke down the hydrogen peroxide into water and oxygen gas ( Microbugz ). The initial coagulase test was inconclusive. After the addition of coagulase in the second attempt, the sample began to clump indicating that the unknown bacteria possessed the ability to produce fibrin barriers ( Microbugz ). No growth was observed on either of the plates even though S. aureus can grow in hypersaline environments and ferment mannitol. The plate should have turned yellow from acid production and exhibited growth. Perhaps the sample was dying and couldn t grow on either MSA plate or the strain possessed a mutation that took away its ability to grow on that media. The only way to know for sure would be to run more tests and perhaps a sequence of the genome to scan for mutations or abnormalities. However, the back up TSA slant turning blue, albeit not a biochemical test, also supported the conclusion that S. aureus was unknown #4 because S. aureus can turn TSA slants blue. The Gram negative rod, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, can also turn TSA slants blue because of pyocyanin production, but the majority of the biochemical tests supported S.
