What Is The Snapchat-Personal Narrative
When March 5th finally arrived we had a lot of preparations to tend to. We were pretty sure the
Mack s would leave at night, they told Alex they had a family birthday party to go to. Unlike
past Fight Nights no invitations were sent out, everyone was invited. We posted Alex s address
on all forms of social media that morning. I then went to Alex s in the middle of the afternoon to
help him set up for the night. We moved couches, and set up the basement for optimal viewing.
Now all we had to do was wait for the Macks to leave. We hung around the house for the rest of
the day but right around dinner time I left to make it less obvious and met Katie Peters and
Hannah Bouas at subway for dinner. Alex was going to call me whenever his parents left... Show

We expected that the only fight that night would be Chandler vs. Brendan, that was definitely
not the case. Before the main event there were six other fights. We had attracted a lot of the
seniors to Fight Night X and they were definitely down for fighting. These minor fights included,
Alex Mack vs. Zach Diecker, Luke Worley vs. Blake Metcalf, Max Kemper vs. Collin Goveia,
Michael Smith vs. Austin Sweet, Square vs Joe Wolf, Bryce Rutledge vs. Parker McDonald all
leading up to the main event. Will Hogan had been taking cash bets throughout the night and
Brendan was the heavy favorite. (Our event had turned from an underground fight club to an
underground fight club with illegal gambling) Brendan was the favorite due to his size and the
fact that he was getting shipped off to Army basic training in just a few months. But, he was a
wild card, like I stated earlier he was not part of our friend group so we had never seen him fight.
This was unlike Chandler who was a Fight Night veteran with a side of batshit crazy when it came
to wrestling. After a crowd pumping introduction from Joe Wolf the most historic fight in Fight
Night history was

Diabetes Mellitus As A Disability
The amount of patients being diagnosed with Diabetes Mellitus has sky rocketed these past few
years. In 2010 the figures were 25.8 million and 8.3% and has increased in 2012 to 29.1 million
Americans, or 9.3%. (American Diabetes Association, 2014); it is seen nationwide, and has now
even begun to affect our youth. In South Texas Diabetes Mellitusseems to be the number one
thriving disease affecting its general population. Diabetes Mellitus is now one of the most widely
known diseases that has turned into an epidemic and in 2008 the ADA Amendments Act of 2008
acknowledged Diabetes Mellitus as a disability, and rightly so since it affects many, from children
to the elderly, causing complications (such as amputations, failure of... Show more content on

Two out of three people with diabetes die from heart disease or stroke (American Diabetes
Association, 2014).Society needs to further educate themselves in order to fully understand this
disease and how it can affect their daily lives, whether by short term complications like blurred
vision, to long term complications like kidney failure, and how they can prevent or delay diabetes
and its complications.
Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic illness that requires the individual to manage, support, and educate
themselves of their illness in order to prevent any further complications. It is disease that is caused
by the impairment of insulin secretion and also caused by insulin resistance and insulin deficiency.
Insulin is the hormone used to control and maintain homeostasis over the amount of glucose in
our blood stream. If not much insulin is secreted it can lead to hyperglycemia, which is an
abnormal increase of glucose in the body. Early symptoms of Diabetes Mellitus are related to
hyperglycemia and include, but not limited to, polyuria (excessive urination), polydipsia (excessive
thirst), weight loss, sometimes with polyphagia (excessive hunger), and blurred vision. This may
also lead to pre diabetes, which is when glucose levels are higher than normal, but not high enough
for a diagnosis of diabetes (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014).
There are two main types of diabetes, Type 1 and type 2. Type 1 is where the

Corporate Governance Essay
Corporate Governance
Corporate Governance is the relationship between the shareholders, directors, and management of
a company, as defined by the corporate character, bylaws, formal policies and rule laws. The
corporate governance system was designed to help oversee the decisions and best interest of the
shareholders. The system should works accordingly: The shareholders elect directors, who in turn
hire management to make the daily executive decisions on the owner s behalf. The company s
board of director s position is to oversee management and ensure that the shareholders interest is
being served. Corporate governance focus is with promoting enterprise, to improve efficiency, and
to address disputes of interest which can force upon ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Boardrooms are changing. Directors can no longer be passive. They must be alert, accountable and
active. The board s performance has come under more scrutiny. Shareholders, members and staff
expect more from their boards.
Individual directors of the corporate governance board should possess all of the
following characteristics:
Integrity and Accountability
Informed Judgment
Financial Literacy
Mature Confidence
High Performance
Passion
The board as a whole should possess the following core competencies, with each
member contributing knowledge, experience and skills in one or more domains.
Accounting and Finance
Business Judgment
Management
Crisis Response
Industry Knowledge
International Markets
Strategy Vision
Companies are becoming more involved with corporate governance and they are following more
strict rules and guidelines. One major problem is how board members are being elected. Avoid
employees for the company seems to be one way to eliminate poor corporate governance
committees. They have to try to keep the chief executive officers from loading the board with
friendly directors that are close to them. The most difficult change will be electing board members.

A Pyrrhic Victory Is Defined, Per Merriam-Webster, As в
ЂњA
A pyrrhic victory is defined, per Merriam Webster, as A victory that is not worth winning because
so much is lost to achieve it. For much of America in the era of the Vietnam War, the Tet Offensive
could be defined as such a victory. In this paper I will first define the Tet Offensive in a concise
manner, give the arguments supporting an American victory and the reciprocal considering a North
Vietnamese victory, and finally make a conclusion supporting the thesis that in the long term, the
North Vietnamese defeated the South Vietnamese and by proxy the Americans, peaking at the Tet
Offensive. Early in 1968, the North Vietnamese concocted and pursued an attack on an American
base near the town of Khe Sanh. The base, originally built in... Show more content on

Starting at 3:00 A.M. on the 31st of January, the North Vietnamese regulars and Vietcong (North
Vietnamese sympathizers and guerillas in South Vietnam) performed attacks on many provincial
capitals and major cities, also attacking U.S. bases. This force of over 80,000 men contributed to
the largest offensive action the Americans had seen since the start of the war. The size of the
individual attacks varied but followed a rehearsed and well planned out plan consisting of different
waves starting with sappers, main forces, and propaganda forces. It becomes increasingly clear to
the ARVN and the U.S. forces that these attacks weren t just random hit runs that became the status
quo of the enemy, this was a well thought attack strategy. The military high command was still
insisting that Khe Sanh was the real target of the large scale offensive and had underestimated the
North Vietnamese ability to congeal into a major offensive fighting force, while the media was
watching it all. The exact ending date can be hard to pin down, and most American accounts place
it at the end of March with the lifting of the Siege of Khe Sanh. However, for the North
Vietnamese, the fighting that continued late into September was part of the plan starting with the
Tet Offensive. After the heavy losses occurred during the earlier fighting, the North Vietnamese sent
down replacements of equal size to the original force, but the offensive came at no surprise to the
Allies. For the military,

The Canadian Lyme Disease Prevention
In Canada, there are too many false negative results, according to Jim Wilson, President of the
Canadian Lyme disease Foundation and this standpoint is also recognized by Health Canada.
(Magnotta, 2015). The human body takes several weeks for humans to create antibodies at
detectable levels. This limits the detection of the various genotypes of the borrelia bacteria, from
the procedures used, which in effect, is allowing late stage serology to occur. According to Dr.
Ralph Hawkins, who is a General internal site lead at Calgary s South Health Campus Hospital and
a Clinical Associate Professor of Medicineat the University of Calgary, states that serology is

This method is irrespective of the stage of the infection. Current research suggests that a single
course of antibiotics can be insufficient, especially if Lyme disease has been prevalent for several
months (Magnotta, 2015).
Physicians in Canada have not been properly exposed to the symptoms of clinical Lyme disease;
therefore it has become difficult to diagnose a patient with clinical Lyme disease. Professional
organizations, such as International Lyme and associated disease society, and Lyme literate medical
doctors, have acknowledged the uncommonness of Lyme disease in Canada (Magnotta, 2015).
Canada has been highlighted with concerns of misdiagnosis and the increased cost in public health
care. The lack of research and resources in Canada, have caused physicians to dismiss the clinical
symptoms of Lyme disease, and diagnose patients with a variety of other illnesses, such as
fibromyalgia, chronic Fatigue syndrome, to name a few, or something less substantial such as
increased anxiety or stress (Magnotta, 2015). A case study presented in Hospital News has
recognized that the rarity of symptoms requires hospitals and clinics to do excessive amounts of
testing and the patient is sent to different specialists. These chronic illnesses are associated with
bacteria, but the Canadian health system needs to recognize that the underlying diagnoses are
infections, where Lyme disease

Veiled Sentiments By Lila Abu-Lughod
Throughout Veiled Sentiments, Lila Abu Lughod mentions ghinnawas that the Bedouin women
use. However, it wasn t until I read chapters 7 and 8 that I was able to perceive the full effect of
why the Bedouins value theses poems so much. These poems are called little songs and are
women s way of expressing what they truly feel without being judged by society. For example, as I
mentioned in discussion 12, at the end of chapter 7, Abu Lughod told a story of Mabruka, a woman
who was about to welcome a co wife. Polygany was a cultural norm within Bedouin society, so it
wouldn t have been appropriate for Mabruka to object to it. It also would ve shown romantic
attachment, which was frowned upon. Hence, she said that she didn t care. Yet, even while she was
posed this uncaring attitude, she would sing ghinnawas about feeling betrayed.... Show more content

This allows insight into what is important to people in Bedouin society. Lila Abu Lughod gives
examples of ghinnawas about star crossed lovers, divorce, arranged marriage, polygyny, and many
other ghinnawas related to love. All of these areas are associated with modesty, or hasham, and are
taken very seriously. For instance, when the one of the girls mentioned in the book wanted to marry
another man and was upset that she had to marry the man that she did, she ran away. She came
back, but still sang very sad Ghinnawas. People thought that she was doing it for attention, but
when her brother in law heard about her Ghinnawas, he realized that she actually was unhappy. This
solidifies Lila Abu Lughod s point that was mentioned in nearly every chapter that modesty is
important to the Bedouin society, as it is what the women choose to think of and express thoughts
and feelings about. Furthermore, what is sang in these songs are meaningful to those who hear
them because they truly believe that it is what the person singing them actually

Write An Argumentative Essay On Stroller
A woman placed her baby inside a stroller outside of a ride at Disney s Hollywood Studios and
walked away, the problem was she didn t the owner of the stroller. Lauren Collazo was the mom
who did own the $1,800 Bugaboo stroller that was stolen by another mother while she was
having a fun family day at the park, according to WFTS. The mother was shocked when she
came off the ride to find her stroller had vanished, along with her wallet and car keys that she left
in it. Collazo said: I was there with no money, stranded. My husband had to fly over from Miami
that same day, catch the first flight available to rescue me and my family. The woman s day at
the park was ruined, but she was determined to find out who the thief was. NBC4i reported
Disney security camera footage captured the stranger stealing the baby stroller, using her own
child as a prop in the seat. Collazo used a photo from that footage to track down the woman by

Analysis Of Their Eyes Were Watching God
Their Eyes Were Watching God: Prompt 10 Their eyes were watching god a novel that looked
how societies view on women, written by Zora Neale Hurston, portrays a society where nigger
women are considered a mule . Throughout the novel, the protagonist, Janie Crawford, strives to
find her own voice but struggle to find it because of the expectation in the African American
community. Each one of her husbands play a big role in her life long search for independence
and her own voice. Janie s journey sets off when her grandmother, Nanny, insists she marries
Logan Killicks, a man twice her age. Because Nanny s experience with slavery, her worldview
has been about financial security for Janie. Like all elders they hope that their children and
grandchildren have protection and stability so they can ease. Tain t Logan Killicks Ah wants
you to have, baby, it s protection... (Hurston 15) . With Janie rebellious young age, she does not
realize what her grandmother went through. Janie knew she had to obey her grandmother so she
can give her Nanny assurance that she would be taken care of before she dies. But not long after
the Nanny s death, Logan Killicks starts to treat her like a mule a free work of labor. Because of
Janie status she ought to speak for herself. Another example, where Janie struggles to find her
voice is with her second husband Jody Starts, a man who starves for power and the mayor of
Eatonville. Jody rarely allows Janie to speak her mind, participate in social

How Does Chinua Achebe Depict Ibo Culture In Things Fall...
How does Achebe depict Ibo culture in Things Fall Apart ? Chinua Achebe s, Things Fall Apart, is
a story of a traditional village in Nigeria from inside Umuofia around the late 1800s. This novel
depicts late African history and shows how the British administrative structure, in the form of the
European Anglican Church, imposed its religion and trappings on the cultures of Africa, which they
believed was uncivilized. This missionary zeal subjugated large native populations. Consequently,
the native traditions gradually disappeared and in time the whole local social structure within
which the indigenous people had lived successfully for centuries was destroyed. Achebe spends the
first half of the novel depicting the Ibo culture, by... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Even though the Ibo are described as primitive and savage by Mr. Smith, one of the missionary
church leaders, the tribesmen evidently show their etiquette through their mannerisms.
Proverbs, a form of Ibo mannerisms, are used quite frequently throughout this novel as the art of
conversation is regarded very highly [by the Ibo], and proverbs are the palm oil with which
words are eaten. (Achebe. P.5:1986) The Ibo people are also not as violent and savage as many
of the missionaries believed. This is shown when a villager from the Mbaino village kills a
woman from the Ibo village, the Ibo village elders and those with titles, instead of initiating war
against the neighbouring Mbaino, reach a peaceful agreement on the reparations from the Mbaino
tribe. ... [A]t the end it was decided to follow the normal course of action. An ultimatum was
immediately dispatched to Mbaino asking them to choose between wars on the one hand, and on
the other the offer of a young man and a virgin as compensation. (P.8) Achebe also expands on the
reflection of the Ibo peoples of being civil, depicting the civilised aspects of the Ibo religion.
Another example similar to the peaceful reparation, previously

Tracy Chapman
Tracy Chapman Fast Car In Tracy Chapman s song fast car , the speaker deals with her reality
and longs for a better life situation. By using the metaphor fast car , she wants to describe an
incisive moment in her life. The woman supports this with words which are associated with this
conveyance and talks about the escape from her old, deadlocked life to a new place, where she
wants to be able to start all over again. The speaker opens the song with expressing her desire of a
conveyance, that takes her away from her present surroundings. She is longing for somebody to
rescue her, a company that takes her into a better life, where she can be able to start all over again.

It was the driver of the car as well, her boyfriend, who was next to her during that turning point in
her life. Together, they were driving towards a new place, a place where they could start a new
beginning: Your arm felt nice wrapped round my shoulder. For the first time after her mother
had left the family, it was somebody else that took care of her and not the other way around. She
had somebody besides her that supported and protected her. For the first time after a long while,
she felt being loved. However, towards the end of the song, the woman is no longer talking
about we and is using the words you and I instead. This splitting up can be related to their
relationship. Fearing that her partner would convert into the same person as her father, the
speaker is not only splitting up the word we , she is also splitting up with him. You got a fast car
/ but is it fast enough so you can fly away . No longer is she talking about so that we can fly
away . With those words, she is making an explicit request that he should leave her and his
children. She wants him to sit in his car alone and to drive away, just as she did some time ago, in
the hope that the speed of the fast car would change his life situation as well. In conclusion, one
can see that despite of the title of the song and the repeated use of it, fast car is not the main aspect
of the song, but rather the meanings and feelings that are associated with it. In the beginning

Different Types Of Computer Protocols
A protocol is most simply defined as a standard. These standards define how computers are able
to communicate with each other. These standards are defined in documents called Request for
Comments( RFC ) which is a formal document from an organization known as the Internet
Engineering Task Force( IETF ). These documents are made publicly available so that any
program that needs to use these protocols are able to configure them properly so that it works
with all other programs that make use of the same protocol. There are thousands of protocols that
exist and many of them are very common and others are very seldom used. Some of the most
common protocols are HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, SMTP, IMAP, POP3, SSH and DNS. Many of these are
used almost every... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
POP3 is used when downloading an email from the email server to a client. IMAP functions
similarly to POP3 in that its function is very similar. It is used when downloading emails from
mail servers. There are a few differences between the two. With IMAP the mail client is synced
with the mail server. An example of this would be reading an email on a mail client( Outlook
Express ) and this change being reflected on the mail server. This differs from POP3 because
POP3 would not update the mail server, and the fact that the email was read would only be
visible on that mail client. The next protocol is very important and called Secure Shell( SSH ).
This protocol uses port 22 by default and is inc readably useful. Its intended purpose is to
connect to a host that has an SSH server running and open a remote shell that is encrypted. This
offers a lot of possibilities that make remote administration secure. One of the additional functions
that SSH provides is the ability to create tunnels. The amount of possibilities with SSH tunnels is
endless. It allows unencrypted protocols to pass through an encrypted tunnel and can repeated
several times over several hosts to further encapsulate and secure data. The final protocol listed is
the Domain Name Server. This protocol is used when a computer knows the domain name of a
server and not the IP address. Unfortunately computers are not able to put a domain name in a layer

Oh, The Shark Has Pretty Teeth Dear and He Show s em, Pearly White When the image of a
vampire is brought to mind one imagines a tall, thin and pale European aristocratic man dressed in
fine clothes and displaying a set of pearly white fangs. However neither the aristocratic status nor
the fangs can be found in folkloric accounts of vampirism. The true image of a vampire is a difficult
thing to describe due to the influence that different cultures have had on the development of the
myth. The depiction of vampirism in Bram Stoker s Dracula and Richard Matheson s I Am Legend
differ from one another and while these depictions stray from the folkloric accounts of vampires
both find their roots in legend. The folkloric vampire has taken many different forms and has
held a variety of traits, skills and weaknesses; each mirroring the customs, beliefs, and fears of
different cultures (Bartlett 1). I can be difficult to find one all encompassing description of a
vampire due to the myths discrepancy among cultures. Vampire myths and legends exist in many
cultures spanning the globe. Each has its own beliefs in regards to the creation, appearance,
abilities, and extermination of vampires. In Vampirism as Mental Illness: Myth, Madness and the

factions present that are seeking their own foothold in the country s struggle over power.
However, this was not always the case and an examination will take place into weather the conflict
can be defined as either a civil war, an insurgency or a proxy conflict. The definition of the type of
conflict is relevant as it is critical to whether or not intervention is necessary and how states may
go about it, for instance, the laws of war are different from the laws of armed protests. ... Show

In April 2011, the Syrian Army was deployed to quell the uprising and soldiers murdered
demonstrators throughout Syria. The protests began to evolve into armed rebellions and members
of the Armed Forces defected and created the Free Syrian Army (FSA). Since the formation of the
FSA, the rebel group expanded throughout Syria. Factional groups also joined the conflict with the
Army of Islam and less known Al Qaeda groups operating against both the Syrian Armed Forces
and the FSA. Recent statistics show that in July 2013, the Syrian government controlled
approximately 30% 40% of the country s territory and 60% of the Syrian population. The death toll
reached 120,000 by September 2013. International organizations have accused both government and
opposition forces of severe human rights violations including the use of chemical weapons. The UN
and Amnesty International s inspections and probes in Syria determined both in 2012 and 2013
that the vast majority of abuses were carried out by the Syrian government. Estimates show that
more than four million Syrians have been displaced and at least a further three million

Swan Lake
A lonely, somewhat weaker than the average Prince Siegfried, who questions his sexuality (think
Oedipus complex) and his mother s open issues in attempting to marry him to someone just like
herself. The Prince encounters androgynous creatures, swans that waddle through the ground rather
than the graceful water creatures that we know from Petipa/Ivanov. (http://www.theballetbag.com

Sleeping Beauty
The teenager Princess Aurora falls in love with the wrong guy and ends up in a drug induced

out of a TV show, while the Prince is a spectator.

The Cathedral By Raymond Carver Essay
Cathedral Born on May 25, 1938 in Clatskanie, Oregon, Raymond Carver was destined to be a
writer. He was a son of a sawmill worker and grew up working hard majority of his life. He
married year after he finished high school and had two children with his wife at the time. He
raised and supported his children with normal working class jobs such as delivering, janitorial
and gas station services. Carver discovered his interest in writing after taking a creative writing
course in college in 1958. His first success was in 1967 from the story Will You Please Be Quiet,
Please? and ended up becoming a fulltime writer after losing his job at the time. He drank heavily
and had problems with alcoholism around the same time, but he shortly recovered from that and
started teaching at the University of Texas at El Paso and Syracuse University. A few years later
in 1983 he won a literary award which made him focus on his full time writing. His short story
collection consisted of What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, Cathedral, and Where I
m Calling from. In his short stories he mostly wrote about the everyday lives most experienced
and problems of the poor, broken marriages, and financial problems. He died at the age of 50 of
lung cancer but his stories continue to live on. For my first paper I will be analyzing Cathedral by
Raymond Carver. In Cathedral Carver uses setting, characterization, and also symbolism to reveal

We Land On The Moon Research Paper
We Landed on the Moon ... Allegedly
On July 20, 1969 American astronauts, Neil
Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the moon at 20:18 UTC, allegedly. Conspiracists have a
theory that the moon landing was fake, and that it was really filmed in a studio. People think that
America wanted to be superior to Russia, so they faked it to show that they are more advanced in
technology associated with space travel. There is a great deal of evidence from the moon landing
that proves it is fake. During the moon landing astronaut Buzz Aldrin put down the American Flag
to show America was the first country to land on the moon. When he put the flag down the flag
waved. Except in space there is very little gravity, therefore if it was on the moon the flag wouldn t
of waved. Another piece of evidence that America/NASAfaked the moon landing was that in the ...

NASA said that the flag waved because Aldrin twisted the flag to get moon soil, which caused it
to wave. They responded to the theory about the weird shadow by saying, the moon s surface
reflects the sun and with the glare the stars would be hard to see. An astronomer named Phil Plait
said They were taking pictures at 1/150th or 1/250th of a second. In that amount of time, stars just
don t show up. NASA thinks that it s absurd that people think that the moon landing is fake and
people are just want to be against them.
When the moon landing happened it was during the Cold War. The Cold War was between the
world s two superpowers, The United States and Russia. They were competing over technology
advancement and who could do more. Conspiracists think that the United States didn t have the
technology to make it safely on the moon, so they faked it to beat Russia. Russia and the United

The rising cost of using British suppliers was also a burden, as rival retailers increasingly
imported their goods from low cost countries, but M S s belated switch to overseas suppliers
undermined a core part of its appeal to the public. Another factor was the company s refusal until
2000 to accept any credit cards except its own store card.[13] In addition, as an ageing and famously
bureaucratic company, it was losing touch with potential younger customers, who were reluctant to
shop with it. At the same time Greenbury, who had dominated the company, had his attention
diverted by the Prime Minister s committee on directors pay.
These factors combined to plunge M S into a sudden slump, which took the company, its
shareholders, who included hundreds of thousands of small investors, and nearly all retail analysts
and business journalists, by surprise. The company s share price fell by more than two thirds, and
its profits fell from more than a billion pounds in 1997 and 1998 to ВЈ145 million in the year
ended 31 March 2001.[14]
Since the late 1990s M S has experienced serious boardroom instability and has made a number of
attempts to revive its business, with only partial success. By 1999, Online Shopping was brought
in, and the company grew with new sales of fashion clothing. In 2001, with changes in its business
focus such as taking credit cards, the introduction of the

Human Resource Development

and empirical studies. A Study of HRD Concepts, Structure of HRD Departments, and HRD
Practices in India T V Rao, Raju Rao, and Taru Yadav Human Resource Development (HRD) as a
function has evolved in India indigenously from the year 1975 when Larsen Toubro (L T)
conceptualized HRD as an integrated system and decided to separate it from the personnel function.
Since then, most organizations have started new HR departments or redesignated their personnel
and other departments as HRD departments. Today, there are high expectations from HRD. Good

Structurally, HRD is to be a subsystem of HRF and integration of this with the other two
subsystems (Personnel Administration and Worker Affairs) is to be done by a person at the
Director level (for example, Vice President Personnel HRD), through task forces and subsystem
linkages. Inter system 1. linkages were outlined between various HRD subsystems to have an
integrated system. Pareek and Rao also outlined a philosophy for the new HR system, which
included 14 principles to be kept in mind while designing the HRD system. These principles deal
with both the purpose of HRD system and the process of its implementation (see Box). In essence,
the Integrated HRD Systems Approach of Pareek and Rao (1975) has the following elements: A
separate and differentiated HRD depart ment with full time HRD staff. Six HRD subsystems
including OD. Interlinkages between the various subsys tems. Designed with 14 principles in mind.
Linked to other subsystems of HRF. After L T accepted these recommendations in full and started
implementing them, the State Bank of India (the single largest Indian Bank) and its Associates
decided to use the Integrated HRD Systems Approach and created a new HRD Department. By mid
80s, a large number of organizations in India had established HRD departments. Box: Principles of

Conclusion About Globalization
Globalization
Whenever I heard about the term globalization the first thing that comes in my mind is gravity. In
my humble opinion, the term globalization is just like gravity higher you go higher will be the
gravity. Same is the case with the notion of globalization as much as you can discover new facts
and figures more changes can be made. In this respect, from the current outlook of this modern
world of affair, it would not be wrong to say that globalization has become the most significant part
in the lives of human beings, as globalization has influenced nearly all facets of the contemporary
world. Globalization has approached in almost every sphere of life, from a kinder garden school to
the manufacturing to huge satellites, revolving around this earth. This is all because of the modern
advances and transformation that have been made through the technological means and scientific
revolutions.
In fact, due to the globalization, it would not be wrong to say that the world has gained a unique
and new outlook just because of the changes that have been made within the last couple of years,
especially within the field of technology. In this regard, due to the development of new found
technological advances, it has become easy for people to link with each other without any kind of
barrier and difficulty. For instance, internet has paved the way for the modern form of
communication through which people living at different places are interacting with each other

Exit Ramp
Exit ramps can create a tricky situation for drivers. This can be especially true for new drivers
or when you are driving in an unfamiliar area. You do not want to go too fast, but you also do not
want to go too slowly when using an exit ramp. To help you avoid an accident on an exit ramp,
consider the following advice:
When traveling in an unfamiliar area, make sure you know your exit number early on. Then you
can anticipate when you will need to exit and avoid having to take the exit at the last second.
Never try to go across several lanes of traffic all at once to get to your exit. Be in the right lane
early on. If you are not in the right lane, it is better to exit later and backtrack than to risk a wreck.

Siddhartha Analysis Paper
Time does not exist; love is eternal; death brings peace. Siddhartha illustrates each of these themes
in the novel, Siddhartha. Throughout his life, Siddhartha is very independent. For example,
Siddhartha demonstrates self determination when he leaves his overbearing father to begin the life
of the Samanas (Hesse 10). There, he escapes from the physical world to soon realize that
enlightenment cannot come from ignoring the world around him. He decides to follow the Buddha
and learn his teachings; however, he is unsuccessful. As Siddharthagoes through his unaccompanied
journey towards Enlightenment, he comes to realize that he must let his loved ones go and that
each man must find the way by himself (Malthaner 3). Foolishly, he falls... Show more content on

After his experiences, Siddhartha comprehends that he is not capable of individualistic love and
decides to abandon Kamala. Later, he meets her again, but now she is not alone. While Kamala
takes a journey with her son to visit the dying Buddha, she gets bitten by a poisonous snake and
perishes. He loses Kamala s love but hopes to gain the love of his son. Unfortunately, he never
does. Siddhartha treats his son with consideration and respect although he realizes the boy has
been spoiled by a wealthy lifestyle. He unsuccessfully tries to win over the love of his son, but his
love is not mutual. Young Siddhartha soon runs away towards the village to continue his life
without his controlling father. Although Siddhartha understands that he must let him go, his love
for his son is overwhelming; he cannot bear to let the boy go. After speaking with Vasudeva, the
Ferryman, and learning from the river, Siddhartha learns to accept the loss of love. Now,
Siddhartha has gained wisdom and understanding of love universal love. Enlightenment cannot
exist without love, for love is the most important thing in the world (Hesse 147). Through Kamala
and his son he has learned that one must love the world, not despise it (Hesse 147). At first, love
is portrayed as an immoral feeling and thought of as an obstacle in his journey to reach Nirvana.
Later, Siddhartha learns that one must love to prosper and that love is what keeps the world alive.

Martin Luther, A Christian Theologian And Augustinian Monk

October 8, 2014
Bible 2nd Assessment
Martin Luther Martin Luther, a Christian theologian and Augustinian monk has taught and inspired
the Protestant Reformation. His translation of the Bible has helped to develop the correct version
of the German language. Martin Luther was a great man. Martin Luther was born on the 10th of
November, 1483 in Eisleben, Germany. Hans and Margaretha Luder were his parents. In 1501,
he had been enrolled in the University of Erfurt at the age of seventeen. But all of that changed
during a harsh thunderstorm where a lightning bolt struck near him on his way back to school.
With terror he yelled these words, Help St. Anne! I ll become a monk! Since then, he dropped out
of law school and started attending monastery there. He would devote himself only to things like
fasts, long hour prayers, and constant confessions. He tried a lot to change this, but the more he
tried to do this for God, it always seemed that he became more aware of his sinfulness. Martin
Luther eventually ended up being good with God personally when his teacher, Johann von Staupitz,
ordered that Luther needed more work to distract him from all his thoughts. So then Luther was
ordained to the priesthood. So in the year of 1508, Martin Luther started to teach theology at the
University of Wittenberg. The difficult time of study for academic degrees and preparation for the
hard lectures drove Martin Luther to study the Scriptures very deep. Luther engaged

Fission Vs Fusion
What s the difference between Fission and Fusion? Science is a measurement of true knowledge
to the world and for some is a bragging front to show the amount of intelligence and power some
countries have. Through certain aspects of science, countries can demonstrate any amount of
dominance they have by demonstrating new technologies and theories. Fusion and Fission is one
of the great explorations that man has discovered due to the benefits it brings to human life. The
promise of fusion is enormous due to how big of an energy system it gives and it comes together
by fuel that is obtained by seawater and is also mixed with lithium from the earth s crust. Most
people get Fission and Fusion confused and they figure that it is the same thing.... Show more

Most prefer Fission because it can be controlled but if defense is an option fusion would win.
Fusion can be three to four more times powerful than fission. Fusion has a higher energy rate and
blast range capacity. Hydrogen bombs that have been tested have been seen to remain better and
greater than the atomic bombs. A hydrogen bomb uses a fission reaction to trigger the isotope
Deuterium in the bomb which causes a thermonuclear reaction which then is lead by a fusion
reaction. During the process the fusion reaction implodes in and the explodes out, that is why
hydrogen bombs are shown to have a higher release of energy and a more destructive outcome.
Most people like the United states prefer Fusion bombs over fission bombs due to the capability of
their results. The megaton bomb that Korea is testing has a blast range of 1.7 miles, while Castle
Bravo (USA) has a impact about 80 times stronger than the megaton. Most countries have developed
fusion bombs and Iran is now conducting research on its nuclear capacity. Due to the knowledge
that the United States has about both fusion and fission, this is why it is so concerning that other
countries are testing nuclear bombs. If they can perfect their formulas, and get the right range right
this could put many countries including the United States in danger. Overall,

Previously, routers would implement FIFO method for storing SYN packets. Once new (bogus)
SYN packets enter the system, old (legitimate) packets are dropped off. Thus, the server memory
gets overwhelmed by storing illegitimate packets and cannot accept new (legitimate) SYN
requests from its intended users thereby, denying services to its intended users. Over the time,
routers became smarter. They use rate based filtering. After a certain limit of packets are
accepted, routers don t further accept packets. Also, routers don t implement FIFO methods
anymore. They only accept and store packets from computers that send an ACK as response to
their SYN ACK and complete the 3 way handshake. Incoming packets from a computer system
that do not complete a 3 way handshake are dropped. 1.3 2 nd generation DoS attacks As the

A Brief Introduction to Methods of Word Formation in English
A Brief Introduction to Methods of Word Formation in English
I. Introduction Linguistics is the scientific study of human language. Linguistics can be broadly
broken into three categories or subfields of study: language form, language meaning, and language
in context. The earliest known activities in descriptive linguistics have been attributed to Panini
around 500 BCE, with his analysis of Sanskrit in Ashtadhyayi. The first subfield of linguistics is the
study of language structure, or grammar. This focuses on the system of ruled followed by the users
of a language. It includes the study of morphology (the formation and composition of words),
syntax (the formation and composition of phrases and sentences from these words), and ... Show

3. Acronym An acronym is an abbreviation formed from the initial components in a phrase or a
word. These components may be individual letters (as in CEO) or parts of words (as in Benelux
and Ameslan). There is no universal agreement on the precise definition of various names for such
abbreviations nor on written usage. In English and most other languages, such abbreviations
historically had limited use, but they became much more common in the 20th century. Acronyms
are a type of word formation process, and they are viewed as a subtype of blending. There are many
different types of the word formation process acronym. Here are several pairs of them.

The protagonist was so motivated to teach the children such that she accompanied the students even
when school was out of session. Sylvia is the antagonist in this story, owing to the way in which
the youngster differentiated her values from Ms. Moore s. Sylvia used her interaction skills to
sway the group s attention away from the teacher, particularly at the endof the story when she
slipped out of the group in search of chocolate (Bambara 6). To add salt to injury, Sylvia wasted no
time in returning the lion s share of Ms. Moore s money, seeing the opportunity to buy chocolates
and other confectionary. The exposition of the story lies in the rising wave of inequality, especially
among African American communities. The rising action in the story is when the children get busy
ogling at the expensive toys on display, which builds the tension associated with poverty.
Alternatively, the story s climax is when thestudents realize the moral of the lesson, which is
economic inequality within urbanareas. The falling action occurs when Sylvia and Sugar tear away
from the group in search of the ill gained confectionary. The denouement of the story is when the
children realize the value of money and its impact on society. Such a scene is present when the
children began thinking of different ways the exorbitant prices could change their lives, such as

Essay on Exegesis of Matthew
Exegesis of the Gospel according to Matthew Chapter 5:3 12
The Eight Beatitudes
In Matthew s Gospel, starting with Chapter five verses three through twelve, Jesus tells us of the
Eight Beatitudes. These verses are much like The Ten Commandments in nature, but more
philosophical:
В·Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
В·Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
В·Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the Earth.
В·Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.
В·Blessed are those who are merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
В·Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
В·Blessed are the peacemakers, for they ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The beatitudes are just a sample of the many teachings that this book has to offer. The text itself
written by Matthew, one of Jesus disciples, does coincide with the beatitudes written by another
of Jesus disciples; Luke. Only Luke writes the beatitudes a little differently than Matthew. One
example of the differences is in the first beatitude where Matthew writes, Blessed are the poor in
spiritВ… where as Luke recorded Jesus as saying only, Blessed are the poorВ… By annexing in
spirit Luke suggests that only the monetarily poor belong in God s kingdom, where Matthew
seems to state that material status or social poverty alone are not the standards for faith. All
throughout the beatitudes there seems to be the theme that it does not matter what is on the
outside, but God sees and is only concerned with the inside of his children. Their hearts and their
souls. It doesn t appear God cares much for material wealth or success in the world, but more so
for what is in mans heart. Luke suggests В‘the poor should be monetarily poor, and if they have
any wealth they should give it all up to those more needy to give glory to God. Money and
wealth may be seen by some as a sign of being in God s favor with darker signs and adversity a
sign of some sort of punishment. Which should not be the case at all, Matthew seems to add in
spirit more to identify wealth and social status is not the standard by which God will judge. Money
and wealth do have an

The Chosen Quotes
As a boy becoming a man life gets a little harder. But as that man you have to be strong and know
that your struggle will only make you stronger. By an unknown source. Many young men
experience this journey in their lifetime. In the book, The Chosen. By: Chaim Potok. He shows
that this journey isn t easy and that there are many bumps in the road of manhood and this is
shown in the character Reuven Malter. Reuven Malter has shown in the book The Chosen by:
Chaim Potok, that he is smart, he is a very loyal and caring friend, and he is very committed to
his faith. Reuven is a very smart and he is able to adapt to things very easily. Reuven Malter has

Reuven is a kind, caring person who would, as shown in the book, always be there for the other
person and never let them do something bad and leave them dry. Reuven s best and probably most
important relationship is with Danny Saunders. This relationship started at a softball game that
both boys played in. They were on opposite teams. Reuven went up to bat and Danny was pitching,
then Danny hit Reuven in the face with a ball and he was hospitalized. After the incident, Danny
would visit Reuven everyday and just be with him. Reuven has helped Danny with many tough
times with his father and many other things. When Danny needed to talk to someone, Reuven was
always there for him and he would always be open to talk about anything. A good quote that
represents the friendship between Danny and Reuven, Poor Danny, I thought. Professor Appleman,
with his experimental psychology, is torturing your mind. And your father, with his bizarre silence,
which I still couldn t understand, no matter how often I thought about it, is torturing your soul
(222). Reuven is talking to Danny about his college classes and how he is handling them. Reuven
has always been a good and loyal friend and that is one thing that shapes him into the man he is

In the article sooner or later U.S must act on climate change laws it states it is necessary that
Congress try to design and pass a national climate change law and do it soon. It needs to hold
hearings, hear experts and other witnesses, review the evidence, and discuss the problem at
length to build support. If it needs to find ways that make businesses happy, then it should.
Clearly, this will be a tough battle, but it is necessary to try. This is saying that once congress
decides on laws they will have to hold a meeting and hearings so that the laws they make appeal to
all. Those are the actions that would need to be taken for congress and others to make new laws.
Those were my three reasons on why laws should be made NOW on climate change. Sooner

Persuasive Essay On The Voting Age
Imagine a time where teenagers are allowed to vote on important positions or issues that could
possibly define our nation s future. The average teenager may seem responsible, but would they be
able to handle the responsibility of deciding our nation s fate in the world as well as their own. In
the article, Takoma Park 16 year old savors his history making moment at the polls, Annys Shin,
who writes in depth about the historical event as well as shares valued opinions of those who
participated in the making of this event, exclaims that the, Montgomery County community [was]
the nation s first to lower the votingage from 18 to 16. This seems to be a test to determine if the
nation should lower the voting age completely. However, this test shows varying results, but
majority seem to shed some light on the fact that teenagers simply should not take part in voting.
The average teenagers seem too young to be mature about issues, are uninterested in what major
decisions are made by the government, and are simply being used by their parentals for an extra
person support their own beliefs. Although, being a teenager myself I do have a clear understanding
about the momentous moment certian teeangers in the Montgomery County are being offered, but
was it worth the controversy within the government to finally make it happen. A Fred Schultz,
elaborated on the issue that the outcome would not be as rewarding for the amount of time that was
spent to grant this right to the counties teenagers in order to raise the amount of political
participation(Shin). Once the results came trickling in, there seemed to still be an exceedingly low
rate for voter turnouts. Montgomery teenagers were simply granted the right, and proved to the
county there was no point in doing so since there was little participation from their age group. Not
to mention that majority of the sampled teenagers would not take the initiative to register to vote,
and even though the county had registration at the Motor Vehicle Registration there is a point that
not every teeanger is able to drive legally. Thus, that extra step to increase voter registration
amongst teenagers was not beneficial. Giving us the right to vote comes at a cost, and it seems

An Essay About Apollo Flayed
Apollo
According to the Greek poet Hesiod, Apollo is the son of the Olympian Zeus and Titan Leto who
is the goddess of dark nights. Artemis is his twin sister, who is also an Olympian (Hesiod). He is
the god of sun, light, music, and prophecy. Besides, he is also the god for both medicine and
healing. Apollo is associated with medicine and healing through his son, Asclepius. Yet, he could
bring ill health and deadly plague (Houle 34). He is feared as he is able to bring ill health to mortals.
Apollo is often shown in playing the lyre. According to Favorite Greek Myths , Apollo has won
couple musical contests by playing his golden seven strings lyre, which is said to represent the
seven planets (Hyde 17). One time, Phyrgian satyr Marsayas challenges Apollo to a music contest.
At the end, Satyr lost the contest and is flayed alive. The lyre that Apollo plays is invented by
Hermes, the messenger of Zeus. One day, Apollo notices the beautiful musical instrument that
Hermes carries and was fascinated in that. He wants to trade with Hermes for ... Show more content

Mattes, Alpha Channels And Masks
In the below written essay I will explain the purpose of Mattes, Alpha channels and Masks. I will
also explain how and why they are used.
Adobe After Effects uses mattes as an invisible layer which can control the opacity of the image
above the matte layer. If there is an image visible and another image layered beneath that image, a
matte can be used in certain ways to manipulate that image. (Tobias, 2012)
Although a matte is an invisible layer it allows a determined amount of luminance or colour to
push through from the bottom layer to the top layer. In a way a matte can be thought of as fading
to images on top of each other, although mattes are a bit more complex.
Mattes can also be used to separate a background image from a foreground image. For instance, if
and actor is standing in a room and you want to change the background image, a matte can be used
to change the background. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Mattes can also be used to animate text . If you have one image as a layer above a different
image (acting as the bottom layer) you can add text as a matte and allow the bottom image layer to
be seen through the text. This gives the text a more interesting and original look. (Adobe Systems
Incorporated, n.d.)
The word alpha means transparency. The Alpha Channel is essentially the channel that carries
transparency information. (Okun Zwerman, 2010, p. 125)
The colours that are visible in the images on programs like Photoshop and Adobe After Effectsare
usually split up into three different channels. There is a Red channel (R), a green channel (G) and
blue channel (B). These channels are often grouped and named RGB channels.
The RGB channels are what make up the colours of an image. In addition to these channels there is
another channel called the Alpha Channel which is a channel that deals with the opacity and
transparency of the Red, Green and Blue

Columbus Letter Essay
The Columbus Letter
Since my endeavors have achieved achievement, I realize that it will please to you: these I have
resolved to relate, so you might be made familiar with everything done and found in this our
voyage. On the thirty third day after I withdrew from Cadiz, I went to the Indian ocean, where I
discovered numerous islands occupied by men without number, of all which I took ownership for
our luckiest ruler, with broadcasting envoys and flying benchmarks, nobody questioning. To the
first of these I gave the name of the favored Savior, on whose guide depending I had achieved this
and additionally alternate islands. Yet, the Indians call it Guanahany. I likewise called every one of
the others by another name. For I requested one island to be called Santa Maria of the Conception,
another Fernandina, another Isabella, another Juana, thus on with the rest.
When we had landed at that island which I have a few seconds ago said was called Juana, I
continued along its coast towards the west for some separation; I discovered it so expansive and
without discernible end, that I trusted it to be not an island, but rather the mainland nation of
Cathay; seeing, in any case, no towns or urban areas arranged on the ocean coast, however just a
few towns and inconsiderate ranches, with whose tenants I was not able chat, in light of the fact
that when they saw us they took off. I continued more distant, believing that I would find some city
or vast homes. Finally, seeing that we

Difference Between Public And Public Health Care
Health care is often seen as an important topic in political terms, more specifically people are
concerned about public vs. private health care. Public health care is often associated with welfare
state liberalism, this is because public health care is generally provided through the government and
national healthcare systems. The welfare state system is one that focuses on the physical and
economic well being of it s citizens. In contrast to this, the private health care system is associated
with neo conservatism. This is because neo conservatism has principles which include wanting to
keep their funds within the country and not altered by outside influences, as well, they tend to
distrust international organizations such as the United Nations. Throughout the paper there will be
evidence and examples to explain each system and how they are related to either the welfare state
or neo conservatism. The citizens of each country, these being Canada and the United States, both
have their own ideas of which system would be favourable. Canada s health care system is public,
this means that Canada is associated with welfare state liberalism. For example, Ontario has their
own insurance plan called Ontario Health InsurancePlan, which is otherwise known as OHIP.
OHIP does not allow for charging or selling private insurance to cover medically necessary services
that are covered by OHIP. The National Health Institute has been influenced by the constitution in
the way which they

We posted Alex s address on all forms of social media that morning. I then went to Alex s in the middle of the afternoon to help him set up for the night. Two out of three people with diabetes die from heart disease or stroke (American Diabetes Association, 2014).Society needs to further educate themselves in order to fully understand this disease and how it can affect their daily lives, whether by short term complications like blurred vision, to long term complications like kidney failure, and how they can prevent or delay diabetes and its complications. Diabetes Mellitus is a chronic illness that requires the individual to manage, support, and educate themselves of their illness in order to prevent any further complications. It is disease that is caused by the impairment of insulin secretion and also caused by insulin resistance and insulin deficiency. Insulin is the hormone used to control and maintain homeostasis over the amount of glucose in our blood stream. If not much insulin is secreted it can lead to hyperglycemia, which is an abnormal increase of glucose in the body. Early symptoms of Diabetes Mellitus are related to hyperglycemia and include, but not limited to, polyuria (excessive urination), polydipsia (excessive thirst), weight loss, sometimes with polyphagia (excessive hunger), and blurred vision. This may also lead to pre diabetes, which is when glucose levels are higher than normal, but not high enough for a diagnosis of diabetes (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 2014). • 7. A Pyrrhic Victory Is Defined, Per Merriam-Webster, As в ЂњA A pyrrhic victory is defined, per Merriam Webster, as A victory that is not worth winning because so much is lost to achieve it. For much of America in the era of the Vietnam War, the Tet Offensive could be defined as such a victory. In this paper I will first define the Tet Offensive in a concise manner, give the arguments supporting an American victory and the reciprocal considering a North Vietnamese victory, and finally make a conclusion supporting the thesis that in the long term, the North Vietnamese defeated the South Vietnamese and by proxy the Americans, peaking at the Tet Offensive. Early in 1968, the North Vietnamese concocted and pursued an attack on an American base near the town of Khe Sanh. The base, originally built in... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Starting at 3:00 A.M. on the 31st of January, the North Vietnamese regulars and Vietcong (North Vietnamese sympathizers and guerillas in South Vietnam) performed attacks on many provincial capitals and major cities, also attacking U.S. bases. This force of over 80,000 men contributed to the largest offensive action the Americans had seen since the start of the war. The size of the individual attacks varied but followed a rehearsed and well planned out plan consisting of different waves starting with sappers, main forces, and propaganda forces. It becomes increasingly clear to the ARVN and the U.S. forces that these attacks weren t just random hit runs that became the status quo of the enemy, this was a well thought attack strategy. The military high command was still insisting that Khe Sanh was the real target of the large scale offensive and had underestimated the North Vietnamese ability to congeal into a major offensive fighting force, while the media was watching it all. The exact ending date can be hard to pin down, and most American accounts place it at the end of March with the lifting of the Siege of Khe Sanh. However, for the North Vietnamese, the fighting that continued late into September was part of the plan starting with the Tet Offensive. After the heavy losses occurred during the earlier fighting, the North Vietnamese sent down replacements of equal size to the original force, but the offensive came at no surprise to the Allies. Professional organizations, such as International Lyme and associated disease society, and Lyme literate medical doctors, have acknowledged the uncommonness of Lyme disease in Canada (Magnotta, 2015). Canada has been highlighted with concerns of misdiagnosis and the increased cost in public health care. However, it wasn t until I read chapters 7 and 8 that I was able to perceive the full effect of why the Bedouins value theses poems so much. These poems are called little songs and are women s way of expressing what they truly feel without being judged by society. For example, as I mentioned in discussion 12, at the end of chapter 7, Abu Lughod told a story of Mabruka, a woman who was about to welcome a co wife. Polygany was a cultural norm within Bedouin society, so it wouldn t have been appropriate for Mabruka to object to it. It also would ve shown romantic attachment, which was frowned upon. Hence, she said that she didn t care. Yet, even while she was posed this uncaring attitude, she would sing ghinnawas about feeling betrayed.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... This allows insight into what is important to people in Bedouin society. Lila Abu Lughod gives examples of ghinnawas about star crossed lovers, divorce, arranged marriage, polygyny, and many other ghinnawas related to love. All of these areas are associated with modesty, or hasham, and are taken very seriously. For instance, when the one of the girls mentioned in the book wanted to marry another man and was upset that she had to marry the man that she did, she ran away. She came back, but still sang very sad Ghinnawas. People thought that she was doing it for attention, but when her brother in law heard about her Ghinnawas, he realized that she actually was unhappy. This solidifies Lila Abu Lughod s point that was mentioned in nearly every chapter that modesty is important to the Bedouin society, as it is what the women choose to think of and express thoughts and feelings about. Furthermore, what is sang in these songs are meaningful to those who hear them because they truly believe that it is what the person singing them actually ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Chinua Achebe s, Things Fall Apart, is a story of a traditional village in Nigeria from inside Umuofia around the late 1800s. This novel depicts late African history and shows how the British administrative structure, in the form of the European Anglican Church, imposed its religion and trappings on the cultures of Africa, which they believed was uncivilized. IMAP functions similarly to POP3 in that its function is very similar. It is used when downloading emails from mail servers. There are a few differences between the two. With IMAP the mail client is synced with the mail server. An example of this would be reading an email on a mail client( Outlook Express ) and this change being reflected on the mail server. This differs from POP3 because POP3 would not update the mail server, and the fact that the email was read would only be visible on that mail client. The next protocol is very important and called Secure Shell( SSH ). This protocol uses port 22 by default and is inc readably useful. Its intended purpose is to connect to a host that has an SSH server running and open a remote shell that is encrypted. This offers a lot of possibilities that make remote administration secure. One of the additional functions that SSH provides is the ability to create tunnels. The amount of possibilities with SSH tunnels is endless. It allows unencrypted protocols to pass through an encrypted tunnel and can repeated several times over several hosts to further encapsulate and secure data. The folkloric vampire has taken many different forms and has held a variety of traits, skills and weaknesses; each mirroring the customs, beliefs, and fears of different cultures (Bartlett 1). • 23. The Cathedral By Raymond Carver Essay Cathedral Born on May 25, 1938 in Clatskanie, Oregon, Raymond Carver was destined to be a writer. He was a son of a sawmill worker and grew up working hard majority of his life. He married year after he finished high school and had two children with his wife at the time. He raised and supported his children with normal working class jobs such as delivering, janitorial and gas station services. Carver discovered his interest in writing after taking a creative writing course in college in 1958. His first success was in 1967 from the story Will You Please Be Quiet, Please? and ended up becoming a fulltime writer after losing his job at the time. He drank heavily and had problems with alcoholism around the same time, but he shortly recovered from that and started teaching at the University of Texas at El Paso and Syracuse University. A few years later in 1983 he won a literary award which made him focus on his full time writing. His short story collection consisted of What We Talk About When We Talk About Love, Cathedral, and Where I m Calling from. In his short stories he mostly wrote about the everyday lives most experienced and problems of the poor, broken marriages, and financial problems. He died at the age of 50 of lung cancer but his stories continue to live on. For my first paper I will be analyzing Cathedral by Raymond Carver. Conspiracists have a theory that the moon landing was fake, and that it was really filmed in a studio. People think that America wanted to be superior to Russia, so they faked it to show that they are more advanced in technology associated with space travel. There is a great deal of evidence from the moon landing that proves it is fake. During the moon landing astronaut Buzz Aldrin put down the American Flag to show America was the first country to land on the moon. When he put the flag down the flag waved. The rising cost of using British suppliers was also a burden, as rival retailers increasingly imported their goods from low cost countries, but M S s belated switch to overseas suppliers undermined a core part of its appeal to the public. Another factor was the company s refusal until 2000 to accept any credit cards except its own store card.[13] In addition, as an ageing and famously bureaucratic company, it was losing touch with potential younger customers, who were reluctant to shop with it. At the same time Greenbury, who had dominated the company, had his attention diverted by the Prime Minister s committee on directors pay. These factors combined to plunge M S into a sudden slump, which took the company, its shareholders, who included hundreds of thousands of small investors, and nearly all retail analysts and business journalists, by surprise. The company s share price fell by more than two thirds, and its profits fell from more than a billion pounds in 1997 and 1998 to ВЈ145 million in the year ended 31 March 2001.[14]

Martin Luther was born on the 10th of November, 1483 in Eisleben, Germany. Hans and Margaretha Luder were his parents. But all of that changed during a harsh thunderstorm where a lightning bolt struck near him on his way back to school. With terror he yelled these words, Help St. Anne! I ll become a monk! Since then, he dropped out of law school and started attending monastery there. He would devote himself only to things like fasts, long hour prayers, and constant confessions. He tried a lot to change this, but the more he tried to do this for God, it always seemed that he became more aware of his sinfulness. Martin Luther eventually ended up being good with God personally when his teacher, Johann von Staupitz, ordered that Luther needed more work to distract him from all his thoughts. So then Luther was ordained to the priesthood. So in the year of 1508, Martin Luther started to teach theology at the University of Wittenberg. Fusion and Fission is one of the great explorations that man has discovered due to the benefits it brings to human life. Most prefer Fission because it can be controlled but if defense is an option fusion would win. Fusion can be three to four more times powerful than fission. Fusion has a higher energy rate and blast range capacity. Hydrogen bombs that have been tested have been seen to remain better and greater than the atomic bombs. A hydrogen bomb uses a fission reaction to trigger the isotope Deuterium in the bomb which causes a thermonuclear reaction which then is lead by a fusion reaction. During the process the fusion reaction implodes in and the explodes out, that is why hydrogen bombs are shown to have a higher release of energy and a more destructive outcome. Most people like the United states prefer Fusion bombs over fission bombs due to the capability of their results. The megaton bomb that Korea is testing has a blast range of 1.7 miles, while Castle Bravo (USA) has a impact about 80 times stronger than the megaton. Most countries have developed fusion bombs and Iran is now conducting research on its nuclear capacity. Once new (bogus) SYN packets enter the system, old (legitimate) packets are dropped off. Thus, the server memory gets overwhelmed by storing illegitimate packets and cannot accept new (legitimate) SYN requests from its intended users thereby, denying services to its intended users. Over the time, routers became smarter. They use rate based filtering. After a certain limit of packets are accepted, routers don t further accept packets. Also, routers don t implement FIFO methods anymore. They only accept and store packets from computers that send an ACK as response to their SYN ACK and complete the 3 way handshake. One example of the differences is in the first beatitude where Matthew writes, Blessed are the poor in spiritВ… where as Luke recorded Jesus as saying only, Blessed are the poorВ… By annexing in spirit Luke suggests that only the monetarily poor belong in God s kingdom, where Matthew seems to state that material status or social poverty alone are not the standards for faith. Reuven has helped Danny with many tough times with his father and many other things. When Danny needed to talk to someone, Reuven was always there for him and he would always be open to talk about anything. A good quote that represents the friendship between Danny and Reuven, Poor Danny, I thought. Professor Appleman, with his experimental psychology, is torturing your mind. And your father, with his bizarre silence, which I still couldn t understand, no matter how often I thought about it, is torturing your soul (222). Reuven is talking to Danny about his college classes and how he is handling them. Reuven has always been a good and loyal friend and that is one thing that shapes him into the man he is ... The average teenager may seem responsible, but would they be able to handle the responsibility of deciding our nation s fate in the world as well as their own. This seems to be a test to determine if the nation should lower the voting age completely. However, this test shows varying results, but majority seem to shed some light on the fact that teenagers simply should not take part in voting. The average teenagers seem too young to be mature about issues, are uninterested in what major decisions are made by the government, and are simply being used by their parentals for an extra person support their own beliefs. Although, being a teenager myself I do have a clear understanding about the momentous moment certian teeangers in the Montgomery County are being offered, but was it worth the controversy within the government to finally make it happen. A Fred Schultz, elaborated on the issue that the outcome would not be as rewarding for the amount of time that was spent to grant this right to the counties teenagers in order to raise the amount of political participation(Shin). Once the results came trickling in, there seemed to still be an exceedingly low rate for voter turnouts. Montgomery teenagers were simply granted the right, and proved to the county there was no point in doing so since there was little participation from their age group. Not to mention that majority of the sampled teenagers would not take the initiative to register to vote, and even though the county had registration at the Motor Vehicle Registration there is a point that not every teeanger is able to drive legally. Thus, that extra step to increase voter registration amongst teenagers was not beneficial. Giving us the right to vote comes at a cost, and it seems ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 45. Mattes, Alpha Channels And Masks In the below written essay I will explain the purpose of Mattes, Alpha channels and Masks. I will also explain how and why they are used. Adobe After Effects uses mattes as an invisible layer which can control the opacity of the image above the matte layer. If there is an image visible and another image layered beneath that image, a matte can be used in certain ways to manipulate that image. (Tobias, 2012) Although a matte is an invisible layer it allows a determined amount of luminance or colour to push through from the bottom layer to the top layer. In a way a matte can be thought of as fading to images on top of each other, although mattes are a bit more complex. Mattes can also be used to separate a background image from a foreground image. • 49. Difference Between Public And Public Health Care Health care is often seen as an important topic in political terms, more specifically people are concerned about public vs. private health care. Public health care is often associated with welfare state liberalism, this is because public health care is generally provided through the government and national healthcare systems. The welfare state system is one that focuses on the physical and economic well being of it s citizens. In contrast to this, the private health care system is associated with neo conservatism. This is because neo conservatism has principles which include wanting to keep their funds within the country and not altered by outside influences, as well, they tend to distrust international organizations such as the United Nations. Throughout the paper there will be evidence and examples to explain each system and how they are related to either the welfare state or neo conservatism. The citizens of each country, these being Canada and the United States, both have their own ideas of which system would be favourable.
