Essay On Animal Farm By George Orwell
Crafting an essay on the topic "Animal Farm" by George Orwell can be both challenging and
rewarding. The novel delves into complex themes such as power, corruption, and the
consequences of unchecked authority. To effectively address these topics, one must possess a
deep understanding of the allegorical elements in the narrative, historical context, and Orwell's
satirical style.
The difficulty arises from the need to navigate the layers of symbolism in "Animal Farm" and
connect them to real-world events, particularly the Russian Revolution. It demands a careful
analysis of characters, their motives, and the evolving dynamics on the farm. Moreover, grasping
the subtleties of Orwell's critique on totalitarianism and the abuse of power requires a keen
literary insight.
Creating a compelling essay involves the skillful incorporation of textual evidence, quotes, and
analysis to support the arguments made. The challenge lies in weaving a coherent narrative that
not only explores the plot and characters but also delves into the deeper implications of the story.
Furthermore, discussing the relevance of "Animal Farm" in contemporary society requires the
ability to draw parallels between the events in the novel and current political and social
landscapes. This adds an additional layer of complexity as it demands a nuanced understanding
of both historical and modern contexts.
In conclusion, writing an essay on "Animal Farm" by George Orwell is a formidable task that
necessitates a blend of literary analysis, historical insight, and critical thinking. However,
successfully navigating these challenges can lead to a rich and insightful exploration of the
novel's themes and their enduring relevance.

The Importance Of Listening And Recommend Best
Practices
Evaluate the Importance of Listening to Recommend Best Practices I.What is a
Leader: You may have heard the question of where do leaders come from. The
answer to this question is perhaps vague and it seem to be a more difficult question
than most may think. From a topic of vagueness comes a variety of answers.
However, the best thing about it, all the answers could possibly be correct. Leaders
are perhaps uncovered at many different levels and situations (Simmons, 2011).
However, leaders in many organizations lead when forced into the spotlight and find
out they are not equipped to function effectively. Becoming a leader can be as simple
as leading a small team, a group or a community organization (Jennings, 2012). The
truth of the matter... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Scanlans difficulty to be effective was not because he did not possess the ability to
listen but he allowed bias of a situation to selectively, not hear what his peers were
trying to convey. Scanlan (2011) goes on to say that, people are confused about
listening most of the time. Moreover, the confusion prevents the focus and distorts
the direction as well as vision. In today s business, environments where individuals
are more concerned with the level of multitasking and listening becomes necessary
only when someone requests. However, one does not have to be a manager of the
organization to understand the importance of listening. Perhaps even in a family one
could attest that listening is perhaps one of the most difficult aspects of making
decisions effectively (Scanlan, 2011). III.Passive Listening You may be familiar
with passive listening, passive listening is where an is involved in a conversation
however, multitasking by listening to several different conversations or events
happening in the background (Bell Smith, 2010; Jennings, 2012). There has been
perhaps a number of times you have slipped into this passive state of attention it
seems as if you are actively listening to a conversation but truly, there are other things
happening that seem to be more worthy of your attention (Jennings, 2012; Scanlan,
2011). For example, have you ever had to sit through a board meeting or perhaps just
a gathering with a
Clover case study chapter 2
2. Clover Machines Case: Dabbling in International Markets?
1. What are overall benefits of tapping international markets? Does it make sense for
Clover given its success in using domestic capital markets?
Global financial markets are often larger than domestic financial markets. This
means that financing issue size can be larger, costs can be lower and contract
flexibility can be higher. But global markets are typically only available for large
firms. Clover appears to be of sufficient size for tapping global markets. Clover is a
well known issuer of capital in domestic markets and a large number of analysts (16)
follow the firm. It might be the right time to explore global markets and make its
brand known in other countries also: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Clover faces continuing large setup costs and its free cash flows (surplus of operating
cash flows over investments) may not be sufficient to fund these investments.
4. What are the pros and cons of tapping the Eurobond market? Does Clover fit the
profile of firms using this market? What are pre conditions for successful
participation?
Clover may face initial hurdles in tapping the Eurobond markets: potential investors
may not be familiar with the firm. But Clover does satisfy a key requirement:
Eurobond issues are large issues; since Clover needs large amounts of capital, this
market is appropriate. Pre conditions for a successful offering are: (a) well known
firm and (b) large offering.
5. Clover does not have any business in Japan. Given this, does it make any sense to
obtain JPY financing? What might be the downside of the attractive rate that is
offered?
It is interesting that one of the alternatives is a Samurai issue (JPY issue in Japan).
Such an issue might be quite valuable if Clover has business in Japan and can
offset JPY operating cash flows against JPY debt related cash flows. But even
without this benefit, there are advantages to diversifying funding sources (a topic
discussed in chapters 10 and 11). One problem that Clover needs to consider is the
potential for JPY to strengthen; if this happens, debt service (that is, repayment of
interest and principal) will be at disadvantageous
Essay On Real Estate Attorney
Real estate attorneys are fully licensed attorneys who focus their practices on real
estate law. Real estate law is the sale, purchase, or transfer of buildings, businesses,
and properties. There are strict laws that surround these types of transactions and a
real estate attorney is required.
Purchasing a home is one of the largest purchases you will ever make. The
consequences from mistakes during the buying process can cause you many
headaches and a lot of frustration. It is always a wise idea to hire an attorney before
you purchase any kind of property. If you re involved in a law suit, you should find a
litigator or real estate attorney who handles lawsuits. Alternatively, an attorney who
handles real estate transactions may be your best bet.
These type of attorneys prepare contracts, review agreements, and appear in court for

For instance, he may hold the deposit until a deal is closed. He can also negotiate on
behalf of his clients. If the attorney appears in court to work on a lawsuit that
involves a real estate transaction, he is responsible for researching case law, preparing
a strategy, and attempting to negotiate a settlement. If an agreement cannot be
reached, the attorney will question witnesses, present the case to a jury, and make
legal arguments.
The costs for hiring a real estate attorney varies across the country. You can expect to
pay about $2,000 for hiring an attorney. Some lawyers charge an hourly rate and
others charge a flat fee. Before you hire an attorney, you should request a retainer
agreement that outlines the fees and the attorney s responsibilities.
Before you choose a lawyer, make sure you do a lot of research. Make sure the
attorney you hire has expertise in the area of law that you need. Hire a professional
who has at least five years of experience. Contact your state bar association to find
out if an attorney is in good
Challenges Treating Willie
Challenges Treating Willie One challenge would be helping Willie get over the
guilt feeling that it was not his fault, but his friend. He is overwhelmed with guilt
that he did not report his friend action. His friend killed a young girl. It haunts him
because the young girl reminds him of his niece. Another challenge would be the
continuation of anticipatory anxiety after being reduced or stopped (Preston, O
Neal, Talaga, 2013). In addition, a third challenge would be relapse. Preston et. al.,
(2013) state clients have a high rate of relapse when medications have been

potential anxiolytic medication to use with Willie. This medication has three
receptors that are located in the area as gamma aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor

chloride ions and improve the GABA. According to Preston et. al. (2013), a
disadvantage of this medication is that it affect REM sleep. Clients that... Show more

Moreover, it is not known to cause dependence or tolerance. In, essence, it does not
affect certain central nervous system depressant. Furthermore, the disadvantage of
this medication is it effectiveness with clients that may have used benzodiazepines,
and the fact that it has delayed onset of action. The third choice would be tiagabine.
Preston et. al. (2013) explain this medication potential in treating anxiety disorders.
There has been some clinical trial studies done on PSTD and panic disorders. This
medication is a careful GABA reuptake inhibitor (Preston et. al., 2013). Furthermore,
this medication still needs more researcher to get an understanding of its usage for

The Recovery Model Of Mental Health
In today s society, many people are begin diagnosed with, treated and recovering from
mental health issues. Mental health issues are growing rapid pace. The increase of
mental health disorders communities are struggling to keep up with the demand.
Communities are also struggling to keep up with information and facts that surround
mental healthand recovery. The recovery modelcan be implemented into to a
community setting but first we have to understand why it is important model and
what it is. With crucial education the community can benefit from the recovery model
which can help reduce or dissolve the stigma that surrounding mental illnessand allow

mental illness and recovery can go hand in hand.
The recovery model is about bring change to the community in regards to mental
health. This is not an old style of thinking but rather a new way of thinking, a new
plan, different approach to handling and treating mental health illness and the
community as a whole. The recovery model helps people return to a place where
they can live a productive and functioning life; it does not believe in institutionalizing
and medicating people as primary form of treatment and management for mental
health illness. The concept of mental health recovery has been evident in consumers
/ survivor writing in the late 1980s (Onken, Craig, Ridgeway, Ralph, and Cook,
2007). Defining what the Recovery model is an

and skills essential for those studying and working at different levels in the food
and beverage sector. The operations in this department are constantly improving
and developing over the years together with progress in the quality as per the ever
changing customer needs and industry demands. The long established perspective
of food and beverage service was considered as just a delivery process with
customer being recognized as a pliant recipient of service. But now, the vision has
changed to a much broader and wider extent. The customer is now seen as a prime
center to the process and has an active participation in it. Accordingly, to identify the

Choice C is the best answer. This patient has no abscesses or fluctulant nodules. He

at this stage of HD. Surgery should be performed as early as possible after the
formation of abscesses, fistulas, scars, and sinus tracts. Initial treatment may include
the following: local hygiene and ordinary hygiene, weight reduction in patients who
are obese, use of ordinary soaps and antiseptic and antiperspirant agents (e.g., 6.25%
aluminum chloride hexahydrate in absolute ethanol), application of warm compresses
with sodium chloride solution, wearing of loose fitting clothing, laser hair removal

Finasteride might be a suitable additive therapy for refractory female hidradenitis

and III isoenzymes. By inhibiting 5О± reductase, finasteride prevents conversion of
testosterone to dihydrotestosterone (DHT) by the type II and III isoenzymes,
resulting in a decrease in serum DHT levels by about 65 70% and in prostate DHT
levels by up to 85 90%, where expression of the type II isoenzyme dominates[2].
Choice B is not the best answer. Local incision and drainage of purulent lesions are
often required in the acute phase, and, although these procedures are helpful in
providing short term relief, recurrent inflammation is almost inevitable.
Choice D is not the best answer. Systemic treatment is indicated when more severe or
widely spread lesions are present. Some clinicians advocate long term therapies with
systemic antibiotics, such as tetracycline, as a primary component, but long term
outcomes are often poor[2[. Tetracycline inhibits protein synthesis by blocking the
attachment of charged aminoacyl tRNA to the A site on the ribosome. Tetracycline
binds to the 30S subunit of microbial ribosomes. Thus, it prevents introduction of new
amino acids to the nascent peptide
History Of Electricity As A Treatment
History of Electricity as a Treatment
The idea of placing electric shocks on the head, or body, of a mentally ill patient
has existed for hundreds, even thousands of years. Before the invention of
electricity, electric eels, electric catfish, and other electrically stimulating fish were
applied to a variety of body parts in order to alleviate some sort of ailment. In A.D.
46, it was recorded that a torpedo fish applied to the head was used to relieve
headaches. Later in the sixteenth century in Africa, people used electric catfish to act
as a tool to carry out an exorcism to expel devils.
Once electricity was invented, psychologists and scientists alike utilized this new tool
in hopes of curing a range of mental illnesses, physical ailments, and diseases. In the
18th and 19th centuries European researchers applied electricity to the hands, neck,
spinal column, kidneys, and buttocks of patients attempting to treat physical
impairments, like blindness, to schizophrenia. The first documented use of electricity
to treat melancholia, was Giovanni Aldini, a professor at the Bologna University in
1801. Aldini believed that the use of electricity by itself was therapeutic. The
difference between simply using electricity and electroconvulsive therapy is the
stimulation of a grand mal seizure, without a seizure the treatment is not efficacious.
The two Italian psychiatrists credited with discovering ECT plainly stated that
electricity is simply the easiest way to induce a seizure;

Cinder Cone Research Paper
A Volcano is a mountain or hill that has a crater running through it filled with lava,
rocks, gas and hot vapour that will erupt. There are three types of volcanoes, there is
the Cinder Cone volcano which is the smallest, the Shield volcano which is in most
cases the biggest and the Composite volcano which can be the most deadly.
Cinder Cone volcanoes are the smallest type of volcano out of the three, their
eruptions are small and they are the most common volcano. They tend to be small
hill sized and their eruptions are pretty small potatoes as far as volcanoes go. Cinder
Cone volcanoes form of congealed lava ejected in a single vent. The lava erupts from

We Must Stop The Headmaster s Office Deserted Essay
Peppermint Humbugs, Severus snarled, shaking his head at the ridiculous password
as the gargoyle slid aside to let him pass.
Finding the headmaster s office deserted, he slumped into the nearest chair, reaching
inside his coat for the bottle he d stashed in an inner pocket. He raised it to his lips
before changing his mind, conjuring a tumbler instead.
Drinking wouldn t make what he had to do any easier, but he downed the cheap
whiskey anyway, relishing the familiar burn as it made its way down his throat. One
swallow, two, and then he hurled the empty glass at the wall, watching
dispassionately as it shattered all over the floor.
The portraits jerked awake with startled squeaks and muttered complaints, though
only Phineas Black took the risk of addressing him directly.
Do you mind? We re trying to sleep here!
Fuck off, Severus said sourly. And then for good measure, he conjured a second glass
and flung it directly at the gilded frame. With a shout of alarm, Phineas crowded into
a neighboring painting just in time to avoid impact.
They watched him warily after that, silently, with pronounced scowls and
disapproving stares. Severus didn t give a shit... as long as they were quiet, he could
ignore them easily enough. Did it matter that the busybodies were about to witness
the most humiliating moment of his life?
Did anything fucking matter anymore?

Descriptive Essay On Animals
On October 19th 2017, my classmates and I had the opportunity to visit the Lamar
Bruni Vergara Environmental Center. During our visit, we toured the facility and
were privileged to have an employee inform us on the grand diversity of the species
found in our region. Throughout the tour, we observed and discussed a variety of
animals, however in this paper I decided to focus on five: The first species we
encountered during our tour was a bobcat or Lynx rufus. The bobcat s phylum is
chordata and from the class mammalia. It belongs to the order carnivora, which
consists of meat eating organisms. The bobcat then falls under the family, felidae
commonly referred to as the family of cats. Found all throughout North America,
from southern Canada to central Mexico, the bobcats can live in habitats like
mountain ranges, prairies, and deserts. These habitats are favorable to bobcats
because they can camouflage with their environment and have more success as
hunters. Bobcats are known for their brown reddish coat with black spots and a few
stripes. Apart from their coat which allows them to camouflage, bobcats are also
efficient hunters because of their speed and intelligence. When approaching its prey,
a bobcats tends to creep on its victim and attack once it is close enough. Using its
sharp teeth, claws, and strength, this wildcat can kill prey much larger than its size.
Their diet consists of mostly rabbits, hares, and mice. Aside from those animals,
bobcats sometimes prey on
Medical Records and the Implementation of Health
Informatics
Introduction
Health Informatics or Medical Informatics is the intersection of information science,
computer science, and health care. Health Informatics offers resources, devices, and
methods required to optimize the acquisition, storage, retrieval, and use of
information in health and biomedicine. The applicable areas would be nursing,
clinical care, dentistry, pharmacy, public health, and bio medical research.
Electronic health information systems are the science that addresses how to use
information to improve health care. This paper will present the concept of electronic
health records (EHRs) and the current developments and analysis of the transition and

Electronic Records and Physicians
The evolution of health care informatics developed in four stages. The development
of bioinformatics the first stage, in the 1950s, medical informatics was the second
stage in the 1960s, public health informatics, the third stage in the 1990s also
consumer health informatics, the fourth stage in the 1990s. In the first stage of health
care informatics, Robert Ledley was the first to use a computer for health purposes at
the National Bureau of Standards, to study dental projects.
The field of Health Informatics collects data from a variety of patients, and uses that
information to create successful patient care. Health Informatics is a combination of
computer sciences, communication technologies, biological, and cognitive sciences
to address today s health care problems utilizing data management, analysis, and
transmission. Dental hygienists handle vast amounts of data in clinical practice.
There are new techniques/products that they read about on the Internet, and they ask
if this particular treatment would be of benefit. On the other side of the equation, we
find that dental hygienists are using the Internet to search for the same types of
information.

Next, something must be said about the fact that most Japanese Americans lived in
separate neighborhoods than other Americans. As stated in the text of Farewell to

is refering to Terminal Island, which is an island that was, during that time, mainly
inhabited by Japanese Americans. Jeanne s mother moved the whole family over to
Terminal Island from Ocean Park, after Jeanne s father was taken by the FBI. While
living in Ocean Park, they were the only Japanese American family there. All of these
things show that the Japanese Americans separated themselves from other
Americans, and vice versus. Due to a predetermined opinion of both sides, these two
races or parties rather, separated themselves from each other. Finally, prejudice still
played a role in the aftermath of the Japanese American Relocation. Even as Japanese
Americans were making there way back from the internment camps, they were still
treated as outcasts, and were not given the same rights or opportunities as their fellow
Americans. They were forced to accept the blame for others hurting them and treating
them wrongly, and put that burden on themselves, even though it was not their fault.
According to pages 159 and 160 in Farewell to Manzanar, Choosing friends, for

Egypt Vs Nubia Research Paper
Egypt VS. Nubia Essay:
Lately a debate that has the question, was Nubia as powerful and successful as
Egypt. See this is a very interesting question, and the topic in intriguing, but I have
come to the tricky conclusion that Egypt was better. Today I m going to explain why
Egypt is better by comparing the power of Egypt and Nubia. Not only will I show the
strengths of Egypt against Nubia, I will show the weaknesses of Nubia as well, so
let s get started.
Some researchers and scholars say that Nubia conquered Egypt, but truly that was
only for about a decade, Egypt has conquered Nubia for many millennia compared
to the few centuries and decades Nubia ruled Egypt. One passage says : The
Ethiopians ... are said to be the tallest and handsomest men in the whole world. ,

In reality that is totally useless, because that person may not be smart enough to
outsmart Egyptian pharaohs. Ok, maybe Nubia had people that were more graceful
than the power hungry Egyptians, but they used other countries armies to destroy
Egypt, and they took the credit for it too, to think about that Nubia was somewhat

Zen Meditation Papers
Zen meditation is the study of self. According to great master Dogen, To study
Buddha is to study the self, to study the self is to forget the self, and to forget the self
is to be enlightened by the ten thousand things. We have to recognize the unity of the
self and things surrounded in order to be enlightened and understand Buddha. By
practicing zenmeditation, we can achieve the state of unity.
Zen meditation originates from Buddhism, so in the old days almost every devoted
buddhists practiced zen meditation and saw it as a way of communicating with
Buddha. The history of Buddhism spans the 6th century BC to the present which
makes it one of the oldest religions practiced today. But the history of zen meditation
is rather short.
Puritan Beliefs Of The Massachusetts Bay Colony
In Puritan belief, life was planned according to God, and a society worked to live
out that plan. The Massachusetts Bay Colony was a closely integrated group that
worked together to fulfill the wishes of a larger community. Puritans religious beliefs
produced ideas that God s will was to lead a community based on peace. God had set
high expectations for a happy and trustworthy community. However, if a community
did not live up to the expectations, God would destroy the community. Therefore,
Puritanleaders felt the need to enforce strict rules so Puritans could not disobey the
ideals. If anyone did not conform, they were called an impostor who did not belong in
the community. If Puritans allowed freedom of worship, dissenters would not be
banished from the community because all ideologies could potentially exist
peacefully. The only time dissenters existed were in communities that limited
freedom of rights. Along with most communities, there are differences from popular
belief which leaders try to disestablish. A peaceful and harmonic community were
guiding principles for Puritan communities.

Online Gaming And Its Impact On Social Psychology
Through the formation and participation of major professional online game
competitions to more leisure forms of gaming entertainment such as popular
YouTube channels, online gaming is continually growing from a form of hobby
and quickly becoming a mainstream form of lifestyle. The idea of friendships
initiating solely online, and growing into complex relationships that readily
provide and accept social support, has become a vibrant social experience. Video
game genres such as MMO s (Massively Multiplayer Online), which could be
subcategorized into genre s such as MMORPGs (MMO Role Playing Games) or
MOBAs (Massive Online Battle Areas), aggressively inspire interaction and
communication between gamers. Popular MMORPG s such as World of Warcraft
offer involving storytelling and large scale boss fights that require large amounts of
teamwork and cooperation to succeed. These features strongly motivate
communication and collaboration, which in turn possibly begin the development of
acquaintanceship between players. The aspects of online relationships have only
just begun to develop as a field of study in social psychology. More extreme aspects
of online interaction and conduct have been studied in the past. Topics range from
cyber bullying (Thacker, 2012), to online romances (Huyhn, 2013), even sexual and
gender identity (Martey, 2014). The topic suggested here is more concentrated on
social and emotional support, more precisely: Does the anonymity of being online

Challenge in the education system today raise concern as to the effectiveness and
fairness associated with diverse cultures that compose our school systems today than

from below poverty line with limited resources, and those whom are non English

Main concern here is for cultural and regional indifferences, improving efficiency of

and manage their own system uniting individual and team organizational goals.
School resources can effectively be redistributed to the district decision makers. Some
US cities are currently utilizing the decentralized system in school districts,
performance of these organizations are monitored and accountable for improved
Northanger Abbey and the Bildungsroman
The Female Bildungsroman Like other Jane Austen novels, such as Emma or Pride
and Prejudice, Northanger Abbey s primary trajectory is the development of the main
female character. Even though Catherine Morland is not a typical female
Bildungsroman, her realizations in who she is and who she is becoming are very
evident throughout the novel. Webster s Dictionary defines the Bildungsroman as a
novel which traces the spiritual, moral, psychological, or social development and
growth of the main character towards maturity. In this novel, the main developments
of Catherine being traced are the social, psychological, emotional, and intellectual, in
addition to her growth as a fully functional lady of society. This paper will focus on...

A Program For Encourage Diabetes Management And
Prevention
Aisha Hanif
Introduction
St. John s Well Child in Los Angeles has created a program to encourage Diabetes
management and prevention. The program, established in 2008, aims to help patients
manage their diabetes through weekly classes, educating them on maintaining
healthy diets, self regulating their blood sugar levels and creating daily exercise
routines. The program at St. John s follows many constructs of the Transtheoretical
Model (TTM), a model that uses various stages and processes of behavior to
implement change (Glanz, 97). Consciousness raising, the first process of change in
the TTM, applies to the St. John s program when patients visit with their physicians at
the clinic and learn facts regarding complications that can arise from mismanagement
of diabetes (PowerPoint). Action, a major construct of the theory, was applied to the
program through the patients actively attending the weekly classes, and the
maintenance stage was seen when many of the patients consistently attended classes
for months and noticed healthy changes in their blood sugar levels, weight and blood
pressure (Powerpoint). Another important construct in the TTM, self efficacy, can
also be applied to the organization of this program. Through this program, patients
learned how to measure and maintain their blood sugar levels and eat a healthy diet;
detailed steps on managing their diabetes helped patients build their confidence,
allowing them to continue using these skills even after leaving
Essay about Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm
The cardiovascular system is the most important system in our body. This system
is what keeps us alive. Beating on average 30 billion times a year, our heart is
never able to stop and take a break. With every beat of our heart, the cardiovascular
system moves blood, gases, nutrients, and hormones throughout the intricate
vasculature of our bodies. An adult body contains over 60,000 miles of vessels,
which can wrap around the world two and a half times. The vessel branching off of
the heart is largest artery in our body and is known as the aorta. The aorta supplies
oxygenated blood to our body. The aorta runs along the midline of our body and has
many other vessels that stem from it to deliver the blood to a specific location. The...

Elastic tissue is very strong. The adventitia is the outermost layer. It is made of
collagen and nourishes the wall with vasa vasorum.
An aneurysm is a widening or ballooning of a vessel. It is caused by weakness in
the aortic wall. In the aortic wall, the media is mostly affected because it is the
thickest. There are instances where dilation of the wall can occur, but to the
outermost layer and this is not a typical aneurysm. It is known as a false aneurysm
or a pseudoaneurysm. When the outermost layer is dilated, often times the inner or
medial wall will rupture, but the outer wall will still be intact. The extracellular
matrix proteins degenerate and the inflammatory T cells are present. The collagen
and elastin dissolve and disintegrate which will lead to an expansion of the aortic
wall. If the pressure in the vessel is too great, the aortic wall will rupture. An
abdominal aortic aneurysm is a ballooning or dilating of the abdominal aorta. An
aneurysm is diagnosed when the diameter of the vessel is greater than 50% of its
original diameter. The aorta is normally two centimeters in diameter at the level or
the renal arteries. An aneurysm is named based off of their location, size and shape.
An aneurysm will affect how the vessel is shaped, therefore causing the blood flow
to alter. When an aneurysm is symmetrical on both sides of the aortic wall it is
called fusiform; but if only one side of the wall is dilated, it is saccular. Aneurysms
What Role Does Dolley Play In Women s Rights
Although women now have many more rights and freedoms than what they used to,
it didn t simply happen over night. Throughout the course of history men have
always had a superior role to women in our society. White Men could own land,
earn a wage, get an education, and state their political ideas much before women
ever could. Women have earned their way closer to being equivalent to men by
fighting for a higher position in law, receiving education, and advancing to wage
labor in the work force. Women today can vote, run for office, and have many
interactions with politics, but it took a lot to lead up to this point. Dolley Madison,
wife of James Madison, played an important role in women s political life. Known as
the Presidentress , Dolley hosted many femalesocial political parties called Mrs.
Madison s Crush or squeeze . At Mrs. Madison s parties, information was often
traded, informal channels were established, and political access was gained. She
was a main asset to her husband and understood the function of the White House
and what it took to have the power of being in presidency. Dolley was a form of

Role Of The Federal Reserve
Role of Federal Reserve
We will begin with real GDP. Real GDP, an acronym for Gross Domestic Product, is
the total value of final goods and services during a particular period or year
adjusted for price changes. The GDP is an indicator of a country s economic health.
Final goods and services definition is a goods consumed rather than used for further
processing. The Real GDP is increased or decreased based Inflation or deflation.
Inflation is an increase in the average overall price for goods or services while
deflation is the decrease of average overall price for goods and services. Inflation
always produces the effect of reducing the value of money and reduces the value of
future monetary obligations. Reducing the value of money means a consumer has
less money to buy services or goods. Reducing the value of future monetary
obligations means investing or lending becomes more restricted as the value of
return will be less than the amount paid back. Economist Arthur Okun analyzed the
relationship between Unemployment and the GDP statistical. Okun s law simply
states that with rising unemployment there is a relationship of slow growth.
Unemployment is a person looking for work and unable to find work. Deflation is
the value of any amount of money rises. Deflation makes borrowers less likely to
borrow because the value of the money they have to pay back will raise.
Part of GDP is Aggregate Demand and Supply. Aggregate Demand is the demand for

A Rhetorical Analysis Essay On A Liberal Education
A Liberal Education Analysis Thomas Henry Huxley s A Liberal Education [A
Game of Chess] is an essay that subtly advocates Charles Darwin s theory of
evolution through natural selection. Huxley forms conclusions on how education
should be based on the ideas encompassed in evolutionary naturalism. He begins A
Liberal Education with a question directed towards the reader. Soon after, he answers
the question using illustrative metaphors and unambiguous phraseology. By
including the audience in his essay, he employs the use of hypophora and
anthypophora. This rhetorical device is effective in arousing curiosity from the
audience about the opinion the author has to express. Huxley uses a conceit
metaphor to persuade the reader of his argument. He illustrates life as a game of

The function of the game is reminiscent of Darwinism as the man who plays well is
rewarded, while the ill prepared man is checkmated without haste, but without
remorse. Huxley alludes to Retzsch s Die Schachspieler to provide a visual
representation of his chess metaphor. When he begins his pedagogy, he makes an
appeal to pathos by asking the reader, Do you not think that we should look with a
disapprobation amounting to scorn, upon the father who allowed his son, or the state
which allowed its members, to grow up without knowing a pawn from a knight?
Huxley employs pathos in his introduction to draw the audience in and help them
connect to his argument. Huxley targets the audience s sense of disappointment and
indignation. This is to persuade them against sole dependency on the education

What is a profession? The Oxford English Dictionary defines professions as that way
of life/manner of making a living that involves the application of a specialized
knowledge of particular subjects, field, or science to fee paying clientele. Examples
of professions include nursing, architecture, medicine and engineering.
Although journalism has some characteristics of a profession, for Merrill it cannot be

For Wasserstrom, the lawyer client relationship is morally objectionable because it is
a relationship which the lawyer dominates allowing inevitably for a situation where
the lawyer treats the client in both an impersonal and a paternalistic fashion. He sees
the lawyer as a professional, one that is different from other professionals. He sees
this profession to be more vulnerable to moral criticism than any other.
In the Watergate affair, it was noted that most of the persons involved in the cover
up were lawyers. Wasserstrom proposes that it is not an accident, the fact that most
of the characters involved belonged to the legal profession; the fact is, lawyers see
society through the eyes of one who understands the labyrinth of legalities which
made it rather easy for them to manipulate the affair and do what they have done. For
him, this was a good example of noting the intricacies of the lawyering profession,
particularly professionalism.
Wasserstrom holds that the core of the problem is professionalism and its role
differentiated behavior. Role differentiation refers to situations in which one s moral
response will vary depending upon whether one is acting in a personal capacity or
in a professional, representative one. In one of his examples, he illustrates that the
way a parent would distribute assets among children who are strangers would be
morally different if it was being distributed among children whom they have reared

Adler How To Mark A Book

Mortimer J. Adler argues in his article, How to Mark a Book , that to be an active
reader, the reader needs to actually write in their book; but also to fully claim
ownership of their book. According to Adler, there are plenty of ways one can mark

initially understand what they are reading, until they feel like they are having a
conversation with the author. Adler emphasizes marking in a book keeps the reader

How Does Steinbeck Present Greed In The Pearl Of The
World
Every living thing, despite its beauty, is pursued. Even something as simple as a
deer is hunted, but in The Pearl, a Pearl of the World is found. John Steinbeck, a
famous American author, wrote the novella The Pearl. Kino, an American Indian
man who would do anything for his family, finds a pearl of great value. The pearl
changes the humble man into a greedy monster of a man. He becomes violent
towards those he loves. He will soon learn a beneficial lesson about greed.
Throughout the story, a man lets a material item change his life for the worse as he
copes with his inner demons.
At the beginning of the story, Kino sees his family and his boat as the priorities in
life. For a man with a boat can guarantee a woman she will eat something.
(Steinbeck, pg.14). In this quote he is saying that because he has a boat, he can
provide Juana and Coyotito with livelihood. Kino s families lives depend on what

of it, is the reason Coyotito is dead. Throwing away the pearl eases some of this
pain, but it probably would have felt better for Kino, internally, if Juana had

jaws tight...he was as dangerous as a rising storm. (Steinbeck, pg. 88). This quote

emotionally anger he was. At the end of the book, Kino feels guilty as well as angry
about Coyotito s death and how the pearl changed

Intestine problems are often associated with constipation.
Constipation can cause stomach to bulge and many people are concerned about it.
However, this is just one example caused by the deteriorating intestinal environment.
Other than digestion, nutrient absorption and excretion, the intestine has other
functions which are less known. Such functions are closely related to the whole
human body.
This is why when one s intestinal environment deteriorates, it does not simply cause

There is no reason why the same cannot happen for homosexual couples. I am sure
that many homosexual couples in the U.S. are better parents than some heterosexual
couples. The fact that there are people that cannot physically have children together
does not mean that they have no parental instincts or would be incapable as parents.
Thus, this argument against homosexual marriages cannot hold in America.
The government of America recognizes marriage as a secular entity, and with
homosexual unions we must make sure that we look at marriage in this way.
Marriage in the eyes of the government consists of a legal license that states that it
can look at two people as one unit. A court of law can perform a marriage, thereby
eliminating all religious aspects of it. So, the government looks at a marriage simply
as something that is put in the records.
This decade is the time of the paper marriage. More people sign pre nuptial

their own line on tax forms. While this seems impersonal

way.

Characteristics Of Heroism In Mother Teresa
Heroism
Being a hero does not mean you have to run into a burning building and save four
people single handedly, while you re putting out the fire with your mind. Heroism in
today s world is seen in many forms. There are firemen and soldiers, fathers and
mothers, encouragers and uplifters. All these can be forms of true heroism. It is
simply becoming part of something bigger than yourself, just as Joseph Campbell
says, A herois someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than
oneself. The many qualities of heroism are selflessness, humility, fearlessness,
patience, and perseverance. These characteristics are evident in a lifestyle such as
Mother Teresa s.
Selflessness needs to be a bigger part of the world today. Too many people are so
absorbed with themselves that they don t prioritize helping out someone else in
need. A hero to me is someone who dives into action without regard for their own
safety. Not like a reckless behavior suicide mission, but a real thought out plan with
positive results, whether it be organizing a food and clothes basket or planning an
army mission in foreign countries. Selflessness is evident in Mother Teresa s life
everywhere you look. She risked catching incurable diseases, being a target to some
who hated her work, and she devoted all of her time to help others instead of herself.
Heroes can also be people who use words and patience instead of running into
burning buildings or going to war for our country, which are great

and changed what people would consider to be paintings done by African
Americans. He enrolled at Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1879, he was
the first African American there and attended fulltime. There was a lot of prejudice
and racism happening while Tanner was at school. In one incident, some students
tied his hands and feet to his easel and put him in the street as a public crucifixion.
After this, Tanner continued to go to the school on and off for a couple years but in
1891 Tanner set out... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
He was really the first artist that portrayed African Americans both in a dignified and
sympathetic way. He gave the figures character and something to identify with rather
than the general stereotypical images of African Americans as cheerful coons or
dancing darkey with a cartoonish effect. He paints the African Americans as
individuals and references to real people and places in actual time. Many black people
appreciated him for countering the normal images of African Americans, and saw
him as the new visionary for black culture and art. It was very easy to associate and
assume an African American painter painted an African American genre scene he did
not want the color of his skin to dictate what he could and could not paint and what
success he could achieve. He moved on to religion an area that was not associated
with African American painters and thought he could have some success in. Henry
The Annunciation was Tanner s first work to go into any American museum and the
first African American in the Philadelphia Museum of Art. Ossawa Tanner became
the first African American painter to have a work in the White House collection of

Molly Galbraith s Strength
Molly Galbraith, a former fitness model and bodybuilder, took New Year s fitness
resolutions to a whole new level with a Facebook status update she posted on New
Years Day. Galbraith, who is now 31, shared exactly what it was like to be a
competitive body builder, and told everyone about the harsh criticism she received
during that time. She told her followers that they must love their bodies and
themselves before they can begin to lose weight.
Along with her post, Galbraith shared a photo of herself on the beach, which she
described as a life picture. She goes on to write about the struggles she has had with
body image and health issues, including being diagnosed with Hashimoto s and
PCOS. She then goes on to list all the names that her
Why We Should Be Heading Towards Space Exploration
Why We Should Be Heading Towards Space
Space exploration is something that has intrigued mankind ever since science fiction
writers of old sparked the imagination of the people. Since then, we have made leaps
and bounds towards space travel with landing people on the moon, sending satellites
to Saturn, the photos from the Hubble Telescope and the rover, Curiosity, on Mars.
These advances have provided information that will prove to be beyond measure.
While the cost of such information has been high, the benefits of the information has
been irrefutable. Ultimately, this information goes to support not only further
exploration of space, but also towards technologies that will benefit Earth directly.
Two such projects deal primarily with solar power and nuclear waste disposal. Both
of these industries would benefit immensely from such a service and would also
generate the need for many space flights (Coopersmith, 2012). According to
Coopersmith (2012), Space based solar power (SBSP) promises gigawatts of electric
power with minimum environmental damage. Example like this go to show that the
inventions and benefits realized through space exploration reach far beyond the
cosmos and into the everyday lives of people.
Right off the bat, the question for most is, with all the benefits realized through space
exploration aside, what is the actual cost of these endeavors. The space shuttle
program (now retired) was the primary consumer when it came to taxpayer funds.

Mortuaries Research Paper
When a loved one dies, people naturally look for a funeral home. Also referred to as
mortuaries, these businesses are involved with managing the activities surrounding
funerals. Mortuaries offer an assortment of services for the deceased as well as the
family and friends who wish to pay their respects. Each mortuary is different. The
types of services offered can vary, affecting the quality of service and total price.
The work of the funeral director and his staff begins with the initial meeting. This is
where any planning and decision making is confirmed with the bereaved. Mortuaries
are also responsible for doing any paperwork and arrangements. This includes filing
for any permits and authorizations required for transporting and burying
My Life Reflection
Albert Einstein once said, Life is like riding a bicycle, in order to keep your
balance, you must keep moving. The summer of 2016, I moved here from
Southeastern Wisconsin. Focusing on being positive was rough. Leaving friends
and family felt like the end of the world for me. I have always thought moving here
was a mistake, that I could do something about it. I have learned that I cannot do
anything about it, so I might as well take Einstein s advice and keep moving forward.
I made a goal on the last day of my Junior year, to make Summer 2017 the best one
yet. In order to make Summer of 2017 stand out, I had to do things that I was too
afraid to do in the past. My family planned to drive up to Wisconsin for a few days to
attend my Great ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Once we finally reached Atlanta, I realized my ticket did not have a gate or seat
assigned to me. My face got hot and I began to sweat. I started to panic because I
knew that Atlanta had one of the busiest and largest airports. Anxiously, I hurried off
of the plane and spoke to someone at the gate about my ticket. They told me that the
gates at that airport changed constantly and that I should check the screens in case
my gate changes. They then printed off a new ticket and sent me on my way. I
only had a two hour layover, so I bought a smoothie and called my best friend. I
told her about how fun flying alone really was. At first, the trip was nerve racking,
but it felt exciting. I got ready to board the plane back to Greenville. As the plane
took off, I knew my adventure was coming to an end.
We are beginning our descent to Greenville Spartanburg International Airport, I
heard over the speaker. I looked out of the window and saw numerous lights
blinking at me. The city was welcoming me back. At the time, I wanted to just hop
on the next plane back to Milwaukee, but deep down I knew that this was now
home. As I walked through the desolate white halls of the airport, tempted to turn
around and try to board a flight back, I reminded myself to just keep moving. That
was not the end of my adventure, in fact, it was only the beginning.
The rest of the summer was filled with more challenges and fun memories which left

ruin the chances of success in any given project or task that we are trying to
achieve here at XYZ Company. I was asked by our Vice President to give some
suggestions and guidelines to help you avoid these barriers, which will allow your

Definitions Paper
What are creativity, innovation, and design, and how are these concepts important to
meeting the objectives of an organization? To understand these concepts they must
first be defined. Webster s dictionary (http://www.merriam webster.com) defines
creativity as the Ability to produce something new through imaginative skill,
whether a new solution to a problem, a new method or device, or a new artistic
objects or form. The term generally refers to a richness of ideas and originality of
thinking. Psychological studies of highly creative people have shown that many have
a strong interest in apparent disorder, contradiction, and imbalance, which seem to be
perceived as challenges. Such individuals may possess an ... Show more content on

New sciences have also contributed to technology, as in the theoretical preparation for
the invention of the steam engine. In the 20th century, innovations in semiconductor
technology increased the performance and decreased the cost of electronic materials
and devices by a factor of a million, an achievement unparalleled in the history of any
technology.
I would define innovation as the ability to apply this creative thinking to an existing
product, solution or approach that improves the outcome of a solution to a problem
or usefulness of a product. Innovation is the ability to put creative thoughts to use in
a way that is beneficial to a person, product, object, problem or situation. .
Design is defined by Webster as to create, fashion, execute, or construct according to
plan; to conceive and plan out in the mind; to have as a purpose; to devise for a
specific function or end; to conceive or execute a plan; or to draw, lay out, or prepare
a design.
I would define design as taking these creative thoughts and ideas, or applying an
innovative concept, and putting them into a plan of action. Design is the point at
which creativity and innovation become a useful part of a solution. It is the ability to
take creative thoughts and manifest them into a tangible object or cohesive solution,
and incorporate that into a plan of action to solve a particular problem or take a
product to market,
Bill Gates and Nolan Bushnell
Pioneers of Computer Programming
When you think of 21st century computing, two things come to mind: Windows and
video games. Learning Team A introduces you to the two men responsible for these
phenomena В– Bill Gates and Nolan Bushnell.
William Henry Gates III
During that late 1960 s and early 1970 s, BASIC was one of the premier
programming languages. At that time, Bill Gates and his friend Paul Allen made the
commitment to learn BASIC by reading the user manuals. In exchange for computer
time, they made an agreement with a local company called the Computer Center
Corporation to provide de bugging services for software on the company s DEC
machine. This time was used not only to search for errors, but also to study the

After seeing the magazine article, Gates contacted Ed Roberts of the MITS
Company and proposed to that he write some BASIC software for the Altair. The
MITS personnel were impressed with the initial work that Gates and his friends had
completed and decided to meet with them to test the team s code. After a successful
demonstration of the code, Gates made the decision to leave school and move to
Albuquerque and work with MITS on the Altair.
After the move Gates would devote his energies to Microsoft, a company that he
would establish in 1975 with Allen. Guided by a belief that the computer would be
a valuable tool on every office desktop and in every home, they began developing
software for personal computers. Microsoft would sell its BASIC system to MITS,
NCR and Intel. It proved to be more cost effective for companies to buy Microsoft
software rather than spend the time and money to develop their own.
In January of 1979, Gates made the decision to move Microsoft to Seattle,
Washington. Gates believed that part of the country was better suited for recruiting
programmers. Microsoft adopted a new standard for hiring employees; the company
decided to hire only the most gifted and intelligent new college graduates rather than
experienced programmers. The company was looking for talent that came with no
previous programming biases. The expansions of personnel would lead to the
development of a

Essay On Animal Farm By George Orwell.pdfEssay On Animal Farm By George Orwell

  • 1. Essay On Animal Farm By George Orwell Crafting an essay on the topic "Animal Farm" by George Orwell can be both challenging and rewarding. The novel delves into complex themes such as power, corruption, and the consequences of unchecked authority. To effectively address these topics, one must possess a deep understanding of the allegorical elements in the narrative, historical context, and Orwell's satirical style. The difficulty arises from the need to navigate the layers of symbolism in "Animal Farm" and connect them to real-world events, particularly the Russian Revolution. It demands a careful analysis of characters, their motives, and the evolving dynamics on the farm. Moreover, grasping the subtleties of Orwell's critique on totalitarianism and the abuse of power requires a keen literary insight. Creating a compelling essay involves the skillful incorporation of textual evidence, quotes, and analysis to support the arguments made. The challenge lies in weaving a coherent narrative that not only explores the plot and characters but also delves into the deeper implications of the story. Furthermore, discussing the relevance of "Animal Farm" in contemporary society requires the ability to draw parallels between the events in the novel and current political and social landscapes. This adds an additional layer of complexity as it demands a nuanced understanding of both historical and modern contexts. In conclusion, writing an essay on "Animal Farm" by George Orwell is a formidable task that necessitates a blend of literary analysis, historical insight, and critical thinking. • 2. The Importance Of Listening And Recommend Best Practices Evaluate the Importance of Listening to Recommend Best Practices I.What is a Leader: You may have heard the question of where do leaders come from. The answer to this question is perhaps vague and it seem to be a more difficult question than most may think. From a topic of vagueness comes a variety of answers. However, the best thing about it, all the answers could possibly be correct. Leaders are perhaps uncovered at many different levels and situations (Simmons, 2011). However, leaders in many organizations lead when forced into the spotlight and find out they are not equipped to function effectively. Becoming a leader can be as simple as leading a small team, a group or a community organization (Jennings, 2012). The truth of the matter... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Scanlans difficulty to be effective was not because he did not possess the ability to listen but he allowed bias of a situation to selectively, not hear what his peers were trying to convey. Scanlan (2011) goes on to say that, people are confused about listening most of the time. Moreover, the confusion prevents the focus and distorts the direction as well as vision. In today s business, environments where individuals are more concerned with the level of multitasking and listening becomes necessary only when someone requests. However, one does not have to be a manager of the organization to understand the importance of listening. Perhaps even in a family one could attest that listening is perhaps one of the most difficult aspects of making decisions effectively (Scanlan, 2011). III.Passive Listening You may be familiar with passive listening, passive listening is where an is involved in a conversation however, multitasking by listening to several different conversations or events happening in the background (Bell Smith, 2010; Jennings, 2012). There has been perhaps a number of times you have slipped into this passive state of attention it seems as if you are actively listening to a conversation but truly, there are other things happening that seem to be more worthy of your attention (Jennings, 2012; Scanlan, 2011). For example, have you ever had to sit through a board meeting or perhaps just a gathering with a
  • 3. Clover case study chapter 2 2. Clover Machines Case: Dabbling in International Markets? 1. What are overall benefits of tapping international markets? Does it make sense for Clover given its success in using domestic capital markets? Global financial markets are often larger than domestic financial markets. This means that financing issue size can be larger, costs can be lower and contract flexibility can be higher. But global markets are typically only available for large firms. Clover appears to be of sufficient size for tapping global markets. Clover is a well known issuer of capital in domestic markets and a large number of analysts (16) follow the firm. It might be the right time to explore global markets and make its brand known in other countries also: ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Clover faces continuing large setup costs and its free cash flows (surplus of operating cash flows over investments) may not be sufficient to fund these investments. 4. What are the pros and cons of tapping the Eurobond market? Does Clover fit the profile of firms using this market? What are pre conditions for successful participation? Clover may face initial hurdles in tapping the Eurobond markets: potential investors may not be familiar with the firm. But Clover does satisfy a key requirement: Eurobond issues are large issues; since Clover needs large amounts of capital, this market is appropriate. Pre conditions for a successful offering are: (a) well known firm and (b) large offering. 5. Clover does not have any business in Japan. Given this, does it make any sense to obtain JPY financing? What might be the downside of the attractive rate that is offered? It is interesting that one of the alternatives is a Samurai issue (JPY issue in Japan). Such an issue might be quite valuable if Clover has business in Japan and can offset JPY operating cash flows against JPY debt related cash flows. But even without this benefit, there are advantages to diversifying funding sources (a topic discussed in chapters 10 and 11). One problem that Clover needs to consider is the potential for JPY to strengthen; if this happens, debt service (that is, repayment of interest and principal) will be at disadvantageous

Real estate law is the sale, purchase, or transfer of buildings, businesses, and properties. There are strict laws that surround these types of transactions and a real estate attorney is required. Purchasing a home is one of the largest purchases you will ever make. The consequences from mistakes during the buying process can cause you many headaches and a lot of frustration. It is always a wise idea to hire an attorney before you purchase any kind of property. If you re involved in a law suit, you should find a litigator or real estate attorney who handles lawsuits.   • 9. History Of Electricity As A Treatment History of Electricity as a Treatment The idea of placing electric shocks on the head, or body, of a mentally ill patient has existed for hundreds, even thousands of years. Before the invention of electricity, electric eels, electric catfish, and other electrically stimulating fish were applied to a variety of body parts in order to alleviate some sort of ailment. In A.D. 46, it was recorded that a torpedo fish applied to the head was used to relieve headaches. Later in the sixteenth century in Africa, people used electric catfish to act as a tool to carry out an exorcism to expel devils. Once electricity was invented, psychologists and scientists alike utilized this new tool in hopes of curing a range of mental illnesses, physical ailments, and diseases. In the 18th and 19th centuries European researchers applied electricity to the hands, neck, spinal column, kidneys, and buttocks of patients attempting to treat physical impairments, like blindness, to schizophrenia. The first documented use of electricity to treat melancholia, was Giovanni Aldini, a professor at the Bologna University in 1801. Aldini believed that the use of electricity by itself was therapeutic. The difference between simply using electricity and electroconvulsive therapy is the stimulation of a grand mal seizure, without a seizure the treatment is not efficacious. The two Italian psychiatrists credited with discovering ECT plainly stated that electricity is simply the easiest way to induce a seizure;

Throughout the tour, we observed and discussed a variety of animals, however in this paper I decided to focus on five: The first species we encountered during our tour was a bobcat or Lynx rufus. The bobcat s phylum is chordata and from the class mammalia. It belongs to the order carnivora, which consists of meat eating organisms. Found all throughout North America, from southern Canada to central Mexico, the bobcats can live in habitats like mountain ranges, prairies, and deserts. These habitats are favorable to bobcats because they can camouflage with their environment and have more success as hunters. Bobcats are known for their brown reddish coat with black spots and a few stripes. Apart from their coat which allows them to camouflage, bobcats are also efficient hunters because of their speed and intelligence. When approaching its prey, a bobcats tends to creep on its victim and attack once it is close enough. Using its sharp teeth, claws, and strength, this wildcat can kill prey much larger than its size. There are instances where dilation of the wall can occur, but to the outermost layer and this is not a typical aneurysm. It is known as a false aneurysm or a pseudoaneurysm. When the outermost layer is dilated, often times the inner or medial wall will rupture, but the outer wall will still be intact. The extracellular matrix proteins degenerate and the inflammatory T cells are present. The collagen and elastin dissolve and disintegrate which will lead to an expansion of the aortic wall. If the pressure in the vessel is too great, the aortic wall will rupture. An abdominal aortic aneurysm is a ballooning or dilating of the abdominal aorta. An aneurysm is diagnosed when the diameter of the vessel is greater than 50% of its original diameter. The aorta is normally two centimeters in diameter at the level or the renal arteries. An aneurysm is named based off of their location, size and shape. An aneurysm will affect how the vessel is shaped, therefore causing the blood flow to alter. When an aneurysm is symmetrical on both sides of the aortic wall it is called fusiform; but if only one side of the wall is dilated, it is saccular. Aneurysms

  • 30. Role Of The Federal Reserve Role of Federal Reserve We will begin with real GDP. Real GDP, an acronym for Gross Domestic Product, is the total value of final goods and services during a particular period or year adjusted for price changes. The GDP is an indicator of a country s economic health. Final goods and services definition is a goods consumed rather than used for further processing. The Real GDP is increased or decreased based Inflation or deflation. Inflation is an increase in the average overall price for goods or services while deflation is the decrease of average overall price for goods and services. Inflation always produces the effect of reducing the value of money and reduces the value of future monetary obligations. Reducing the value of money means a consumer has less money to buy services or goods. Reducing the value of future monetary obligations means investing or lending becomes more restricted as the value of return will be less than the amount paid back. A Rhetorical Analysis Essay On A Liberal Education A Liberal Education Analysis Thomas Henry Huxley s A Liberal Education [A Game of Chess] is an essay that subtly advocates Charles Darwin s theory of evolution through natural selection. Soon after, he answers the question using illustrative metaphors and unambiguous phraseology. By including the audience in his essay, he employs the use of hypophora and anthypophora. For Wasserstrom, the lawyer client relationship is morally objectionable because it is a relationship which the lawyer dominates allowing inevitably for a situation where the lawyer treats the client in both an impersonal and a paternalistic fashion. He sees the lawyer as a professional, one that is different from other professionals. He sees this profession to be more vulnerable to moral criticism than any other. In the Watergate affair, it was noted that most of the persons involved in the cover up were lawyers. Wasserstrom proposes that it is not an accident, the fact that most of the characters involved belonged to the legal profession; the fact is, lawyers see society through the eyes of one who understands the labyrinth of legalities which made it rather easy for them to manipulate the affair and do what they have done. For him, this was a good example of noting the intricacies of the lawyering profession, particularly professionalism. Wasserstrom holds that the core of the problem is professionalism and its role differentiated behavior. Role differentiation refers to situations in which one s moral response will vary depending upon whether one is acting in a personal capacity or in a professional, representative one. In one of his examples, he illustrates that the way a parent would distribute assets among children who are strangers would be morally different if it was being distributed among children whom they have reared and

Thus, this argument against homosexual marriages cannot hold in America. Characteristics Of Heroism In Mother Teresa Heroism Being a hero does not mean you have to run into a burning building and save four people single handedly, while you re putting out the fire with your mind. Heroism in today s world is seen in many forms. There are firemen and soldiers, fathers and mothers, encouragers and uplifters. All these can be forms of true heroism. It is simply becoming part of something bigger than yourself, just as Joseph Campbell says, A herois someone who has given his or her life to something bigger than oneself. The many qualities of heroism are selflessness, humility, fearlessness, patience, and perseverance. These characteristics are evident in a lifestyle such as Mother Teresa s. Selflessness needs to be a bigger part of the world today. Too many people are so absorbed with themselves that they don t prioritize helping out someone else in need. A hero to me is someone who dives into action without regard for their own safety. Not like a reckless behavior suicide mission, but a real thought out plan with positive results, whether it be organizing a food and clothes basket or planning an army mission in foreign countries. Selflessness is evident in Mother Teresa s life everywhere you look. She risked catching incurable diseases, being a target to some who hated her work, and she devoted all of her time to help others instead of herself. Heroes can also be people who use words and patience instead of running into burning buildings or going to war for our country, which are great

Why We Should Be Heading Towards Space Exploration Why We Should Be Heading Towards Space Space exploration is something that has intrigued mankind ever since science fiction writers of old sparked the imagination of the people. Since then, we have made leaps and bounds towards space travel with landing people on the moon, sending satellites to Saturn, the photos from the Hubble Telescope and the rover, Curiosity, on Mars. These advances have provided information that will prove to be beyond measure. While the cost of such information has been high, the benefits of the information has been irrefutable. Ultimately, this information goes to support not only further exploration of space, but also towards technologies that will benefit Earth directly. Two such projects deal primarily with solar power and nuclear waste disposal. Both of these industries would benefit immensely from such a service and would also generate the need for many space flights (Coopersmith, 2012). William Henry Gates III During that late 1960 s and early 1970 s, BASIC was one of the premier programming languages. The MITS personnel were impressed with the initial work that Gates and his friends had completed and decided to meet with them to test the team s code. After a successful demonstration of the code, Gates made the decision to leave school and move to Albuquerque and work with MITS on the Altair. After the move Gates would devote his energies to Microsoft, a company that he would establish in 1975 with Allen. Guided by a belief that the computer would be a valuable tool on every office desktop and in every home, they began developing software for personal computers. Microsoft would sell its BASIC system to MITS, NCR and Intel. It proved to be more cost effective for companies to buy Microsoft software rather than spend the time and money to develop their own. In January of 1979, Gates made the decision to move Microsoft to Seattle, Washington. Gates believed that part of the country was better suited for recruiting programmers. Microsoft adopted a new standard for hiring employees; the company decided to hire only the most gifted and intelligent new college graduates rather than experienced programmers. The company was looking for talent that came with no previous programming biases. The expansions of personnel would lead to the development of a
