International Law Is An Old Concept
2.0 Introduction International law is an old concept that came into play because of the need to
establish a strong international relations system that was characterized by justice and respect for
the rights of the minority groups and the general human rights. This was very crucial in ensuring
that there was a codified system of laws that had the capacity was universally applicable and
acceptable to all nations. This paper traces the development of international law and the manner in
which the United States contributed towards the development of the international law system that
has now become widely accepted in the normal international relations. 3.0 Early Worlds For a
brilliant suggestion of how individuals from even the most different cultures can interact with one
another in a nonviolent, conventional, and communally advantageous style, it is challenging to
summit Herodotus portrayal of a single market amid the Carthaginians and not well named North
African ethnic groups in about sixth century. The two continents had a silent trade due to the
language barrier. The market was barter trade where the Carthaginians arrive in the market area
by ship; they unload a pile of commodities from their crafts, go back to the boat and send a smoke
signal. The North African tribes, on the hand, would come to supervise the goods by themselves,
exchange the gold with commodities and leave. The other party would also come to inspect the
gold and if it is not satisfied would return to the

Founding Fathers Hypocritical
The founding fathers may have been smart but they were lacking of important human qualities.
Compared to some of the world leaders we have today, that s no question. Despite being that smart,
you would think they would try not to be hypocritical, when writing one of the most important
document in the history of the United States. The constitution s preamble is hypocritical, it was
then and it is now, but more so in 1789. The Preamble was hypocritical in 1789 because of the
votingsystem that the US had, when the Preamble says Insure domestic Tranquility , and when the
Preamble says We the people.
The founding fathers brought in a system of voting for their leader, this system was very corrupt
at the time of 1789, and made the preamble look even more hypocritical. The major reason that
this made the Preamble look bad is because the Preamble said We the people, the word people,
means ... group of human beings (men or women or children) collectively The main word in the
definition is human, this means everyone. The last time I checked, only rich property owning
white guys could vote in the US states in 1789, excluding Virginia where women could vote. There
are also other reasons for the voting system making the Preamble hypocritical, like the fact that the
Preamble says they will secure the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves... this is hypocritical because
the voting system only let some people secure their blessings, like bankers and merchants, the other
people

Informative Speech On Fashion
Specific Purpose: To inform my audience about the culture and traditions of Indian clothing.
Central Idea: There are many types of Indian clothing, but my focus is to discuss one specific type
which is the lehenga. The lehenga is a big part of the Indian culture, comes in a variety of colors,
and has many designs.
Organizational Pattern: Topical
Introduction
I.Attention Getter: India is a country known for its rich and diverse culture. When it comes to
fashion there are a variety of different styles just like any other country. But what really sets it
apart is the bright colors and the heavy work on the outfits which you don t see very often.
II.Relate to Audience/ Thesis Statement: We all love fashion and we want to look classy as well
as sophisticated when it comes to weddings or any other social events. Indian clothes are all about
looking your best.
III.Establish Credibility: I was born in India and I know about the different cultures and traditions
when it comes to Indian dresses. I own variety of different Indian outfits, therefore, I know a lot of
them. It is something which I love shopping for and enjoy wearing.
IV.Preview: Throughout this speech, I will explain how Indian dresses are a big part of our
culture. First, I will talk about how it connects me to my culture, then how it comes in a variety of
colors, and at last the different designs.
[Transition: First, Indian clothing comes in many different styles and we have endless options
when it comes to deciding what to wear to Indian weddings or other social events.]
Body
I.Main point: India has many different cultures and every culture has different types of clothing
they wear.
A.Sub point: My focus is on one specific type of Indian clothing which is called the lehenga and it
is worn in almost every part of India by women.
1.The word lehenga means a long skirt. The top part can be described as the crop top and the
bottom part is the long skirt.
2.It is a three piece attire which includes the skirt, the top, and the dupatta otherwise known as the
shawl. Although it is called by many different names in different parts of India it is the same outfit.
3.As you can see these are two of my outfits which include all the three

Confidantes, Marriage, and Friendship in Pride and...
One cannot accomplish much without the help and opinions of people such as their friends,
siblings, or parents. This person, or confidante, must be willing to listen to and provide helpful
thoughts and feedback. In Pride and Prejudice, a novel by Jane Austen, Elizabeth Bennet is a
heroine who is in desperate need of a confidante. Jane Bennet, Elizabeth s kind and honest sister,
becomes that person Lizzy needs when she is feeling flustered. Jane perfectly fits the criteria of a
confidante because she is optimistic and sanguine, in which she can provide Elizabeth a different,
more positive, approach to her problems. The author uses Jane Bennet to portray a paradigm of a
young lady in England during that time period, where marriages depended... Show more content on

Although it may seem to the reader that Jane is idealistic or dishonest, she really says what is on
her mind. Jane truly believes all people are good spirited and that she will never be deceived by
anyone. In this way, the author uses Jane Bennet to give the reader a different perspective of a
certain character in the story: while Elizabeth is always criticizing the many characters in this
novel, Jane is there to deliver a contradictory statement about those characters. Mr. Wickham
reveals to Elizabeth that Mr. Darcy had prevented him from joining the ministry by refusing to
supply the money Darcy s father had intended to provide for Wickham. Upon hearing these
revealing statements about Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth is appalled and outraged at how selfish a man
can be. Elizabeth then relates to Jane about what she had discovered about Mr. Darcy but Jane
provides her and the reader with a different, more optimistic point of view: It is impossible. No
man of common humanity, no man who had any value for his character, could be capable of it.
Can his most intimate friends be so excessively deceived in him? Oh! no (Austen 74). Elizabeth s
decision to believe Mr. Wickham originates her prejudice towards Mr. Darcy into the novel.
However, in the end, the reader finds out that Jane had actually been correct in that Darcy can
never have done such a horrible thing and that he had actually given Wickham the money his father
left for him. Jane Bennet is the perfect example of what a

Toyota Hilux Is A Light Commercial Utility Vehicle
The Toyota Hilux is a light commercial utility vehicle (ute) manufactured by Japanese company
Toyota. The ute has become known for being reliable, sturdy and being able to withstand harsh
terrains and abuse. This has led to the automobile becoming known as the unbreakable Hilux . This
has subsequently motivated its latest advertising campaign the unbreakable driver .
Product analysis:
The Hilux is a four wheeled drive (4WD) Ute. The vehicle has a v6 turbo engine, double wishbone
suspension and a 750kg towing capacity. (Toyota, 2015)
The Ute Market within Australia represents 19.2% of the total motor vehicle industry (Whytcross,
2014). Toyota occupies a large majority of the industry, selling 58,000 light utility vehicles in 2012
(Di Leo, 2013). This is illustrated upon in figure 1 which indicates the market share and precent
change in volume sold for the previous year.
Despite holding a heavy market share, the Hilux faces direct competition from the Nissan Navara,
Holden Colorado, Ford Ranger , Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda BT 50, Isuzu D MAX and the
Volkswagen Amarok.
The Hilux has been given the title of Unbreakable car . This statue came about from the popular
British television show Top Gear. In 2010 the show attempted to destroy the truck, displaying
various tests including, crashing into a tree, driving through a cottage, hit by a wrecking ball,
drowned in a sea tide and light on fire. Despite all the trials the car was able to start without

Vancouver Drug Problem
The city of Vancouver has been known to have a drug issue, more specifically in the downtown
eastside area, which holds one of the most unwealtiest and oldest neighbourhoods in Canada. While
British Columbia has an estimate of 20,000 injection drug users who are pronounced to be in
poverty, have a mental illness, and be homeless (Jozaghi, Andresen, 2013: 1). In efforts to reduce
this drug problem, the city developed a plan using a four pillar approach that focuses on
enforcement, harm reduction, treatment, and prevention (Schaefer Haaland, 2014: 242). Schaefer

Even though there are already harsh penalties toward those who contain and use illicit drugs, it
would not be possible to give them these sentences without their presence. Many legal drugs
such as alcohol and tobacco have relatively dangerous affects that could lead to death in the same
ways illegal substances can, which brings upon the question of why an individual s well being
would ever be put before the law. INSITE has proven to the world that providing a secure and
reliable facility for addicts to inject drugs will not only prevent them from harm and provide
safety for the public, but it will also encourage users to seek recovery. Research shows that
associations with the safe injection site has caused a 30 percent increase in rehabilitation
programs, and an estimate of $14 million in savings and 1000 HIV preventions through the course
of 10 years (Mosher, 2011: 377). With the significant amount of evidence that INSITE has
positively impacted toward society and its members, there is no reason not to launch additional safe

Nonviolent Direct Action In Martin Luther King s Letter...
In this life, many hope for peace, but not many try to achieve it. According to Martin Luther King
Jr s Letter from Birmingham Jail , there are many ways to achieve this, but the best possible course
of action would be through nonviolent direct action, which includes but is not limited to: peaceful
protest, sit ins and civil disobedience. In King s letter, he proclaims his reasoning behind
nonviolent direct action, including: the concept that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice
everywhere (par. 4), extremism can be used positively (par. 22), and the fact that oppressed
people will not stay oppressed forever (par. 24). King uses literary devices including ethos, logos,
and pathos to prove and reaffirm that which he is trying to convey. King begins to develop the
concept that injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere , early on in his letter (the fourth
paragraph to be precise). He continues to make the concept clear by following up with: whatever

Billy Elliot Diversity
Billy Elliot, directed by Stephen Daldry, is a coming of age film, filmed in the year 2000. It was
set in the year 1984. The film was set in the North of England, in a village called Everington. The
director made sure that the movie did not go off course and stayed relevant to the time period of
the 1980s. I found that the language presented in the film, was relevant to the time period and the
labeling or stereotyping used was very appropriate to the 1980s period. This was because people
were only coming to terms with the change and the diversity of men being gay or females being
lesbian. The four aspects covered in this essay will be on, Billy Elliot and his relationship with his
father. The relationship between Billy Elliot and Mrs. Wilkinson.... Show more content on

In the movie, Billy was not seen as a normal eleven year old boy just because he enjoyed ballet.
In the 1980 s gender diversity was not accepted as much as it is now. When he did ballet, Billy s
class was full of female students which were seen as normal and boys were not expected to do
any female activities. Billy did not mind joining the class and he actually enjoyed it. Billy was
not very good at dancing but he eventually found a passion and a fire within him to want to do
ballet. One of the problems that Billy faced was to actually learn how to dance. His body had
never had to have been controlled and every movement in ballet was controlled and precise.
Another obstacle was that he had to deal with the abuse and disgrace from Jackie and Tony who
were worried that Billy would have been seen as a poof . Jackie and Tony were disgusted when
they heard Billy wanted to become a professional ballet dancer. This made Billy more determined
to achieve his dream, not just to prove his family wrong, but other people who thought that boys
shouldn t dance. Billy wanted it so much that he would practice in secret. The biggest goal was
that he had to prove not just to himself but also to Mrs. Wilkinson that he had the passion to make
ballet a lifetime career and the willingness to learn to join the Royal Ballet

The Ethical Decision Making Is A Vital Part Of The Foundation
Sound ethical decision making is a vital part of the foundation for any organization and its
individuals looking for stability and longevity in their respective industries. In other words, it is
extremely important for organizations, managers, and employees to practice ethical decision
making. The course textbook provides a significant piece of evidence to support this:
According to a global survey of almost 500,000 employees, efforts to promote ethics are associated
with better business performance. In high integrity company cultures, employees were far less
likely to see significant business misconduct. And at companies where employees were encouraged
to speak up about wrongdoing, financial returns to shareholders were higher (Bateman and Snell
174).
A look at a couple of ethical blunders in recent history further cements this idea. Enron and
WorldCom both utilized unethical methods to boost earnings and appear more profitable while
paying less tax during a time when revenue growth was slow and stock prices were declining
(Obringer 10). Accounting books were obfuscated so that no one could tell what was legal and
what wasn t (Obringer 8). In the end, Enron and WorldCom filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The
lack of sound ethical decision making at the head of each organization resulted in major collapses.
The kind of decision making within companies such as Enron or WorldCom are the exact opposite
of a company like GE that values ethical business practices. An important

Left And Right Hemispheres Of The Brain Essay
I.The left and right hemispheres of the brain have many different functions, but they also work
together to accomplish certain tasks. The brain is a soft, shiny, grayish white, mushroom shaped
structure. It is a bundle of nerve tissue that has a mass of about three pounds on average. During the
1900s a neurophysiologist well known as Roger Sperry had determined that the two hemispheres
operated individually, but could still communicate with each other. During the 1950s the corpus
callosumwas ascertained. Placed between the two hemispheres it receives information from both
sides and helps the two sides communicate. On the other hand, over the past two decades the brains
and nervous systems of various animals have had a tremendous impact on our findings on the two
hemispheres. It has mainly helped us with our understanding about the brains organization. The
brainhas many vessels that are very firmly packed together and they transport food and oxygen to
the brain and they also block out harmful bacteria and germs. Many factors that have been
discovered by conduction simple tests to identify what each side of the brain is responsible for.

The Effects Of Pertussis On Infants Under The Age Of One...
Descriptive
This study focuses on pertussis affecting infants under the age of one in Bell County. As mentioned
earlier, pertussis is given to infants at the age of two, four and six months (Center for Disease
Control and Prevention, 2015). Even though, a number of the infants acquire this immunization,
their immunity still lacks. In 2012, there was a report of 21 confirmed cases in the local area of
pertussis and 20 that were unconfirmed (Fort Hood Sentinel, 2012). There was a confirmation that
pertussis was seen in children under the age of one. Additionally, doctors have made it clear that
the infants that contracted pertussis at a younger age are at risk for respiratory compromise (Fort
Hood Sentinel, 2012). Pertussis has been described as an upper respiratory disease in which 10 12
days later the child develops this whopping cough.
In Bell County, the doctors recommended immediate notification if an infant is affected so
treatment can promptly begin. It is significant to understand that pertussis can kill the infants which
is the reason why vaccination among the adults and children is imperative. Of course, the infant can
obtain immunized for pertussis and sometimes the immunity is not guaranteed for the infant. Every
Child by Two (2015) states that 90% of deaths for children under one is related to pertussis.
Additionally, among half of those infants required hospitalization for their condition. According to
the CDC, children who do not acquire their five doses of

understood how the discrimination they faced during the Holocaust came about. It is very clear to

Kabbalah Hasidism really showed me the effect Judaism has had on the rest on the world. How
their traditions have turned into the traditions of other countries. It is interesting to see in the
reading A Hasidic Tish how much they still today come back to tradition. In modern Christianity,
traditions have been changed to match today s culture. I think it is very interesting to see religious
groups like ultra orthodox Jews still maintain the traditions exactly they way they did when they

Elite Society In George Orwell s Animal Farm
In today s world it is quite common for there to be elite societies, whether it is a result from
power or intellect. The formation of an elite society is based on how others respond to others
actions. In the novel, Animal Farm, the elite society of Animal Farm is the result of the actions of
both the pigs and the lower animals as well. The pigs use their superior knowledge to manipulate
the lower animals, and the lower animals do not rebel against the pigs or recognize they are being
controlled.

animals. One example of the pigs creating an elite society is when they announce they can read

One example of the lower animals allowing the creation of the elite society to occur is when the

Squealer explains to the lower animals why the pigs deserve the milks and apples by saying,
Milk and apples...contain substances absolutely necessary to the well being of a pig... [because]
the whole management... of this farm depends on us... [and] it is for your sake that we drink
that milk and apples (23). The lower animals did not rebel against this idea because they agree
that the pigs need to be healthy to run the farm. Squealer also uses fear to control the animals.
He mentions to the lower animals, if [the] pigs failed in [their] duty... Jones would come back
(23). The animals believe Squealer s statement and certainly do not want Jones to return so they
do not rebel. Another example of the lower animals allowing the creation of the society to
happen is when Napoleon executes some of the lower animals. After the execution the thoughts
of Clover are, There was no thought of rebellion or disobedience in [Clover s] mind. She knew

Allusions In The Metamorphosis
Though many strive for a degree of stability in life, our lives are largely dependent on change. It is
necessary for both mental and physical development, and our survival as a species has relied on our
ability to react to changes in our environment. Furthermore, certain situations show that change is
actually critical in reaching stability. This is evident in Franz Kafkas The Metamorphosis, as Gregor
s transformation from household breadwinner to loathsome insect to be essential in allowing his
family to become self sufficient as well as provide the opportunity for a better, more stable life.
This essay will explore how biblical symbols and allusions in the novella support the role changeof
Gregor Samsa as the savior of his family. At the beginning of The Metamorphosis Gregor Samsa is
introduced as a hard working traveling salesman who works long arduous hours in order to maintain
his family and pay back his parent s debts. This debt symbolizes inherited sin, which in Christianity
stems from the first humans: Adam and Eve. This sinful nature is what Gregor aims to relinquish
through his monotone routine of work. However, despite... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

without him he decides to sacrifice himself. His thoughts, full of tenderness and love, went back
to his family. He was even more firmly convinced than his sister, if possible, that he should
disappear. (48) Gregor s death parallels that of Christ, who like Gregor sacrificed himself so that

Man And Evil In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness
Although the author Joseph Conrad never met the German philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz,
who died more than a century before Conrad s birth, their distinct philosophies still have numerous
points of intersection, suggesting some fundamental truths within the structure of the human reality.
Through the novella, Heart of Darkness, Conrad details his perspectives on the faults of man and
reality as a whole, with views often coinciding with many of Leibniz s own, as found in his
numerous philosophical works. Consequently, the two perspectives combine together, like a
cyclopean image, to enhance and deepen each of the two men s philosophies on humanity.
Conrad and Leibniz both note that man has an underlying vulnerability to evil. Among Leibniz s
many conceptual principles is that of perfection vs imperfection, as he claims that no being is
entirely flawed or completely ideal (Burnham, n.d.). Rather, all men possess varying magnitudes of
perfection, except God, however, whom Leibniz believes to be the embodiment of infinite
perfection (Burnham, n.d.). Continuing, Leibniz explains that man s limited perfection causes a
lack of good, in contrast to just an unequivocal inherent evil, that consequently allows man the
ability to create evil, arguing that evil and sin are only negations of positive reality, a principle that
corresponds heavily with Leibniz s belief in theodicy, which serves as an attempt to explain and
reconcile evil in the world with its creator, a

The most widely used instruments for the assessment of symptoms related to PTSD have usually

The community based studies reveal that the overall prevalence of PTSD ranges are between 1

what was the most significant event in German history
In considering the process of change in the development of Germany over the whole period 1890
1991, how far can the treaty of Versailles been seen as a key turning point?
Jonathan Sokolov
The Treaty of Versailles was a monumental stage in German history, helping to shape German
history for arguably the best part of thirty years. It can be argued that the Treaty was the most
significant event since the unification of Germany in 1890. The short term consequences were also
highly prominent as over 300,000 Germans fled to America in the years 1917 23. Moreover many
Germans were aggrieved by the Treaty, this lead to public exploits (Kapp Putsch and Munich
Putsch) that lead to casualties accumulating into the 1000 s. With so much death and ... Show more

Although William Carr (A History Of Germany 1815 1945 (1985)) argues that as severe as the
Treaty was it should be remembered that Germany might easily have feared much worse. If
Clemenceau had had his way instead of being restrained by Britain and America the treaty could
have been much worse for Germany . However this does not undermine the fact that the Treaty
was highly influential in shaping German history. Finally the Treaty can be held responsible for
the rise of Hitler in 1933. Moreover Hitler used the Treaty as a major campaigning point because
many Germans were still aggrieved by the terns imposed by the Treaty, thus enabling Hitler s rise
to prominence to be swift; however there are many extenuating factors, such as the Reichstag fire
in 1933. Due to the fact the Treaty aided Hitler s rise to power it can be argued it instigated the
process of the Second World War, a monumental stage in German history. No one can challenge the
fact that the Treaty of Versailles was a key turning point; however it is hard to come to a conclusive
statement on whether or not it is the most significant.
After the Second World War the Treaty can no longer be influential as it was scrapped following
Germany s defeat in 1945. Following the defeat of Germany in June was the three conferences in
1945 that were highly influential In German history,(Tehran, Yalta, Potsdam) in particular Potsdam.

accompanied by many senior Chinese officials during this visit, which totaled about sixty people.
Two months later there was a break in of the building Pelamis occupied, and five laptops containing
design information were stolen. The interesting thing in this case was that the burglars skipped the
first floor occupants, who were the Siemens Corporation, and went straight to Pelamis. A few years
later the Chinese produced a similar project called the Hailong 1.... Show more content on

Note that the terms of corporate and industrial espionage are used interchangeably in my research.
One may wonder what the roots of competitive intelligence, intellectual espionage, and reverse
engineering are. On the surface, it may seem clear that there is a distinction between competitive
intelligence and corporate espionage. One is gained legally, as a means of retaining corporate
relevance, while the other is gained illegally and at in some cases in an indignant fashion [4].
According to David Blenkhorn, a professor at Wilfrid Laurier University, this topic is not
appropriately discussed in universities today. It is not clear or obvious how one should treat
corporate intelligence ethically, as cultural viewpoints skew the morality of the situation. It
certainly could be argued that this information gathering is a necessary and sufficient means to an
end. Dr. Blenkhorn notes that there is a generally accepted ethical view with respect to information
gathering in Europe and North America, but in other countries, this perspective is quite different.
To some degree this may be a normalization of deviance, where over time, such actions are simply
accepted as a means of holding a business or national security edge, and thus over time becomes
ingrained into the culture. Interestingly, according to Professor Blenkhorn, one of his students from
Russia was taught how to conduct industrial

Standing On The Rooftop Of A Building
Standing on the rooftop of a building in a city can give you the feeling that you can view the
whole world from where you stand. Worldviews differ for every individual, shaped by their
values, biases, prejudices, loves, commitments, and fears as mine is. Developed through experience
worldviews shift, as I expect mine will many times. A large component of your worldviews are the
values you hold, something that event affect other things that shape your worldview. Over the past

I feel this is the case for many people and is a human condition that can be suppressed if a person
realizes the bias has developed into a negative prejudice. Prejudices are rooted in a person s
sense of justice, which is most likely why I have a prejudice against negative and unkind people.
Because I have such a strong value of kindness I have developed a slight prejudice towards those
who do not share this value though I try my best to not act upon this prejudice. The contrasting
aspect of the prejudices contained in my worldview are my loves. What a person loves is such a
broad subject it can mean anything from a person to a meal to a color. Some of my loves
include my family, friends, food, my cat, myself, and hope that can be found when you least
expect it. Each one of these things are large parts of my life that have influenced my life in a
positive way and this positive influence is most likely why I have come to love them so much. Of
course I love other things like books I have read like: Harry Potter, Les Miserables, and Stephen
Hawking s Brief History. Or shows I watch like: Supernatural, Sherlock, Criminal Minds, and
Merlin.
Or even my sweatpants, the color blue, and my soccer cleats.
But all of these things have a lesser impact on my life even though I love them. In this way a
person s loves shape their core values and yet are also shaped by those values. Based on your love

Arguments of Christopher Browning versus Daniel John Goldhagen Regarding The German View
of the Holocaust
The arguments of Christopher Browning and Daniel John Goldhagen contrast greatly based on the
underlining meaning of the Holocaust to ordinary Germans. Why did ordinary citizens participate
in the process of mass murder? Christopher Browning examines the history of a battalion of the
Order Police who participated in mass shootings and deportations. He debunks the idea that these
ordinary men were simply coerced to kill but stops short of Goldhagen s simplistic thesis.
Browning uncovers the fact that Major Trapp offered at one time to excuse anyone from the task
of killing who was not up to it. Despite this offer, most of the ... Show more content on

Goldhagen argues that for centuries, nearly every German was possessed of a homicidal animus
towards Jews and thus 80 to 90 percent of Germans would have relished in the occasion to
eliminate Jews. (Goldhagen dissents from Christopher Browning s estimates that 10 20 percent of
the German police battalions refused to kill Jews as stretching the evidence ). It is one of
Goldhagen s central arguments that the police battalions were prototypical of the murderous
German mind set. Goldhagen s true distinction from Browning is to argue that German anti
Semitism was not only a significant but rather it was the sufficient condition for perpetrating the
extermination of the Jews. Goldhagen observes that if it was not for Hitler s moral authority , the
vast majority of Germans never would have contemplated the genocide against the Jews. He also
argues that by the time Hitler came to power, the model of Jews that was the basis of his anti
Semitism was shared by the vast majority of Germans. To rebuttal his claim I must ask that if anti
Semitism was true to not only the Germans but also the other European countries then why didn t a

Themes In The House On Mango Street
Journal 5
In the novel, the House on Mango Street, Esperanza constantly thinks about her dream of success
and leaving Mango Street. The unfortunate situations and circumstances of those who live in her
neighborhood increase her strive for this future. For instance, she doesn t want to chose marriage
as an easy way out of the neighborhood, like what most women on Mango Street choose to do.
Moreover, she wants to obtain success and independence from the neighborhood on her own.
Through her writing and education, she defies the typical fate most of the people in the
neighborhood end up with. Cisneros uses the thematic idea of dreaming to reveal the theme that a
person may have to contain the initiative to take a more challenging path to obtain success.
In the novel, people tend to rely on chance and luck to change their fate rather than taking action
to improve their circumstances. For example, Esperanza s mother claims that [w]hen [they] win
the lottery (86), they can buy a house on the hills (86). Waiting to win a lottery is impractical and
Esperanza realizes this because she s tired of looking at what [they] can t have. (86).
Consequently, Esperanza becomes even more determined to own [her] own house. (87). Esperanza
knows that she has to work to get the house, not wait on lotteries, which are unreliable. Another
example of people s dependency on chance to improve their situation would be Marin. Marin waits
for a car to stop, a star to fall, someone to change her

Sacrificity And Spirituality InThe Butterfly Mosque, And...
In a spiritual journey, often times it is necessary to put oneself at risk. Physical, emotional or
psychological harm can easily befall someone on their travels from Booth s Badland to
Homeland. One s willingness to accept the burden of suffering, begrudgingly or otherwise,
resonates throughout the toils of a spiritual traveller in many forms. Sacrificing oneself or
aspects thereof in the pursuit or support of one s spirituality often presents challenges unique to
the journey itself; as Heraclitus of Ephesus said, You could not step twice into the same river; for
other waters are ever flowing on to you. In The Butterfly Mosque by G. Willow Wilson and the
film Silence, directed by Martin Scorsese, we see two different perspectives on the notion of self
sacrificein search of spiritual growth and confirmation. While Willow Wilson relinquishes
everything she knows in search of a new world that may open her eyes farther than the Western
world ever could, the travels of SebastiГЈo Rodrigues begin to strengthen his resolve in God, which
would be dashed and battered against the Kyushan shores. Both individuals will be shown to
demonstrate the impact acts of self sacrifice have on ones spirituality, for better or for worse;
whether it is one s intent to alter their entire system of belief or not, the costs that spirituality
extolls from a person can have a wide range of unintended effects. Faith can itself be subject to
sacrificial acts; in order to save something else, one might

Honoring him at the time you wake up and/or bedtime would be appropriate. Some affirmations, or
phrases to honor the god at the time could be as follows:
Waking up: Kalimera (good morning) Apollon! May your light shine upon me as I rise for the day.
Bedtime: Kalinichta (good night) Apollon! May your light inspire me even as I dream.
Prayers in ancient Greece went along the following formula:
1) Greet the god in as many of his or her names as you can especially those relevant for the task.
For a dream oracle, Apollon Pythios, Apollon Daphnephoros, Apollon Delphinios, and Apollon
Loxias are especially good to remember.
2) Remind the god of all of the good things that you ve done for him or her in the past
3) Request the favor of the god
4) Thank the god and promise to offer some form of formal sacrifice or thanks when the favor has

The best incense to burn for Apollo is granules of frankinense, which is a standard offering to

Advertisements appear in various forms within the media such as television, radio, national press

An Efficient Way Transmit Codes
Throughout time the need for an efficient way transmit codes were essential to success, after
World War I and into the start of World War II American forces was running out of ideas for
codes. The USA had always used the white s soldiers for the code talkers because there were
easy to train, and a abundance of them to choose making them the practice choose for code
talkers. Until Philip Johnston, he was an initiator that worked for a Marine Corps program. As a
kid and into his teens he grew up on a Navajo reservation and his dad was a missionary. Whit all
the time that Johnston spent of the reservation he became familiar with the people and their
language. With the use of the Navajos it grained equality for Native Americans which was not
found in the late 1800 s, and soon it gained them a greater respect by the whites into today s age.
In the late 1800 s Indians were seen through the eyes of the settlers as pests, people who occupy
the land that rightfully belonged to the whites. They were thought of as savages. However this
was not true, the Navajo Indians and many other tribes were only willing to fight for their land,
families and the property that they have inhabited for hundreds of years (Robert A. Roessel, 1). In
this time of lack of control, Navajos were overpowered by Americans who were in position of
authority and control. This is because Americans lacked the understanding of the Navajo way,
leading to be fatal for many as they were being transferred, resigned,

Qualities of a Strong Teenage Girl
Qualities of a Strong Teenage Girl
Being a teenage girl, I know what it is like to be let down, put down, and feel completely alone.
But I also know what it takes to get back up, be courageous, and fight. One quality a teenage girl
must have is courage. Courage to stand up for yourself and others. To succeed, a teenage girl must
have smarts. Street smarts as well as book smarts are important. However, one quality that most
teenage girls have is a carelessly open heart; letting anyone in that tries. These qualities of a
teenage girl may lead her to heartbreak and emotional struggles, but overall can contribute to a
successful life. The first quality an adolescent girl must have to succeed, is courage. One reason for
this quality is ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
She may do this because she wants to feel loved and needed. This leads to my second reason
which is the motivation of her partner. He may be looking to take advantage of her and wishes
to leave her heartbroken. When the partner realizes the girl s despiration, he feels a position of
power and can further take advantage of her; body and soul. Through my experience, I hear how
girls can be taken advantage of, and move from partner to partner as a reaction. Avoiding a
broken heart can be accomplished by having a strong heart that is selective and strives for mutual
and balanced commitment. A final reason for a teenage girl to be cautious with her heart is in
connection to her self worth. When a girl gets her heart broken, she may feel intense loneliness, or
she may look quickly for someone else to love and care for in order to avoid or fill the void of
emotional pain. She may start feeling negatively about herself and her body and believe she will
never be good enough. This poor self image can lead to severe depression and self harm. Many
times, this heartache happens because a girl lets someone into her life without boundaries, or
standards and once she realize this, she can feel defeated. For these reasons, having an open heart
without using intelligence is a dangerous combination for a teenage girl. As you can see by the
reasons above, teenage girls must have intelligence and courage to be successful.

Abstract Through three different experiments we were to find the quality of NaCl as a deicer.
These experiments included testing the freezing point depression of NaCl in solution at two

experiments we found NaCl to be the best deicer for our region due to its proficient freezing point

Through our data acquisition on day one our predicted values for the change in temperature of our
NaCl solution in water was slightly off. This was most likely due to recording the freezing
temperature sometime after the precise moment of the solution freezing. However, we predicted
that as we doubled our concentration of NaCl in solution the freezing point depression would also
double which is consistent with our results. Through our day one experiments we were able to
better understand the ability of NaCl as a deicer by understanding how the freezing point depression
changes based on concentration. We could further test these results by testing with different
concentrations of NaCl.

her husband a nice chain for his watch but, he sold his watch to get her a nice set of combs.
Money does not buy you happiness. Mme. Losiel found this out because she felt rich with the
necklace but, because she lost it she lived in a life of great work for ten years. Delia and her
husband ended up putting their gifts away because they realized they didn t need to give away
their most prized possession away to get nice gifts for each other to be happy.
The Necklace shows that money does not buy happiness. As Guy De Maupassant stated, He
threw over her shoulders the warps he had brought for going home, modest garments of everyday
life whose shabbiness clashed with the stylishness of her evening clothes. She felt this and longed
to escape unseen by the other women who were draped in expensive fur. (Maupassant 229) This
shows that Mme Loisel felt rich and was happy in her new nice dress and her diamond necklace
but, because her husband put a old ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
O. Henry shows this when he stated, They were expensive combs, she knew, and her heart
simply craved and yearned over them without the least hope of possession. And now, they were
hers, but the tresses that should have adorned the coveted adornments were gone. (O. Henry 108)
Della proves this because she thought if she cut her hair to get enough money so she could buy
her husband a nice chain for his watch he would be happy but, because he sold his watch to get
Della nice combs they both ended up sad because they sold their most prized possessions to make

Overpopulation Is A Problem Of Overpopulation
People Beget but Land Does Not
Too many people. Too little space. There are already seven and a half billion people walking on
the surfaces of the earth and is believed that there will be 9.6 billion people as of 2050, according
to a UN report. As time passes by, population is rapidly increasing and there will be less space for
people to reside in. Scientists say that this world cannot espouse many people on the next 50 years.
This crisis is fatal that can entirely obliterate the whole humankind. Overpopulation is a problem
that every nation is facing but sometimes over looked by due to lack of understanding and
awareness. This is a serious issue that should be taken care of immediately. Overpopulation is an
undesirable situation where the number of existing human populace surpasses the carrying
capability of Earth. There are main factors that are contributing overpopulation such as the rising
birth rate and declining of mortality rate. Overpopulation occurs when the birth rate surpasses the
mortality rate. Birth rate is currently increasing due unprotected and premarital sex. Every day, as
estimated by UNICEF, there are 350,000 babies being born. That means 255 mothers are giving
birth per minute or 4.3 babies are born per second. While death rate is diminishing because of the
technology that improved created better medical treatments and developed high standard of public
health. The number of babies born should be equal to the number of people that die in order for the

Is Animal Testing Necessary
Imagine sacrificing your own pet so it could be used for space exploration. In the Space Race, the
USA and the Russians would send animals to space to make sure it was safe enough for humans.
The animals were used to help improve technology and to help get the first man on the moon.
Without testing animals, we wouldn t have been able to know the effects it has on the humanbody or
if humans would be able to survive in space.
To begin with, animal testing was necessary because it was too risky to send a human to space.
According to Space.com, Calla Cofield wrote, We didn t even know if humans would be able to
digest their food [in space] (Cofield). Scientists had thought that if you went to space, your stomach
would float up and you would

Tijuana Summary
Questions Derived from Moral Landscaping
Ian Bogost investigated how games could teach particular procedures and practical systems to
players. But Julian Dibbel s investigation in Tijuana revealed how players could transform
procedures into self serving, manipulative machines. Profiteering is likely not the lesson Bogost or
Epistemic Games for that matter hoped to teach players. But what is the difference between
Epistemic Games transferring players power into solutions to real life problems and Blacksnow
transferring power into real life profit? Simply stated, it is the players motivation. More complexly
stated, a game like Candy Crush commits no moral error by placing players into a work based
system of economic growth.
Candy Crush transfers ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
And are these games really just simulations of real life? This would make sense since games now
have real life applications and implications. But all things considered, the difference between a
game and a simulation is arbitrary and based strictly on one s definition of each term. If the
difference relies on how realistic the game is in its mechanics and play style, then Call of Duty
might as well be called a combat simulator. Does a VR set such as the Oculus Rift along with the
still in development rifle shaped controller and multi direction gaming treadmill automatically turn
a game into a simulation? Perhaps every game is a low stakes simulation of its real life
counterparts. Pit, then, is a non digital, non profit simulation of stock market trading...that is, of
course, unless one started playing for money. Then, does the inclusion of money turn a game into a
simulation, or even into work? These terms are debatable. What is clear is the driving factor
behind why games are made beyond artistic expression, though not mutually exclusive of it, is the
desire for profit.
The gaming industry, much like the motion picture industry, is a business, driven by profit.
Whether other companies design games for other uses to teach or to problem solve is outside the
scope of what the industry (not so much the indie developers) prides itself on. King wants to make
money for its product; that is common sense. Whether the company makes money on the front

  • 2. International Law Is An Old Concept 2.0 Introduction International law is an old concept that came into play because of the need to establish a strong international relations system that was characterized by justice and respect for the rights of the minority groups and the general human rights. This was very crucial in ensuring that there was a codified system of laws that had the capacity was universally applicable and acceptable to all nations. This paper traces the development of international law and the manner in which the United States contributed towards the development of the international law system that has now become widely accepted in the normal international relations. 3.0 Early Worlds For a brilliant suggestion of how individuals from even the most different cultures can interact with one another in a nonviolent, conventional, and communally advantageous style, it is challenging to summit Herodotus portrayal of a single market amid the Carthaginians and not well named North African ethnic groups in about sixth century. The two continents had a silent trade due to the language barrier. The market was barter trade where the Carthaginians arrive in the market area by ship; they unload a pile of commodities from their crafts, go back to the boat and send a smoke signal. The North African tribes, on the hand, would come to supervise the goods by themselves, exchange the gold with commodities and leave. The other party would also come to inspect the gold and if it is not satisfied would return to the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 3. Founding Fathers Hypocritical The founding fathers may have been smart but they were lacking of important human qualities. Compared to some of the world leaders we have today, that s no question. Despite being that smart, you would think they would try not to be hypocritical, when writing one of the most important document in the history of the United States. The constitution s preamble is hypocritical, it was then and it is now, but more so in 1789. The Preamble was hypocritical in 1789 because of the votingsystem that the US had, when the Preamble says Insure domestic Tranquility , and when the Preamble says We the people. The founding fathers brought in a system of voting for their leader, this system was very corrupt at the time of 1789, and made the preamble look even more hypocritical. The major reason that this made the Preamble look bad is because the Preamble said We the people, the word people, means ... group of human beings (men or women or children) collectively The main word in the definition is human, this means everyone. The last time I checked, only rich property owning white guys could vote in the US states in 1789, excluding Virginia where women could vote. There are also other reasons for the voting system making the Preamble hypocritical, like the fact that the Preamble says they will secure the Blessings of Liberty for ourselves... this is hypocritical because the voting system only let some people secure their blessings, like bankers and merchants, the other people ... Jane Bennet, Elizabeth s kind and honest sister, becomes that person Lizzy needs when she is feeling flustered. Although it may seem to the reader that Jane is idealistic or dishonest, she really says what is on her mind. Jane truly believes all people are good spirited and that she will never be deceived by anyone. In this way, the author uses Jane Bennet to give the reader a different perspective of a certain character in the story: while Elizabeth is always criticizing the many characters in this novel, Jane is there to deliver a contradictory statement about those characters. Mr. Wickham reveals to Elizabeth that Mr. Darcy had prevented him from joining the ministry by refusing to supply the money Darcy s father had intended to provide for Wickham. Upon hearing these revealing statements about Mr. Darcy, Elizabeth is appalled and outraged at how selfish a man can be. Elizabeth then relates to Jane about what she had discovered about Mr. Darcy but Jane provides her and the reader with a different, more optimistic point of view: It is impossible. No man of common humanity, no man who had any value for his character, could be capable of it. Can his most intimate friends be so excessively deceived in him? Oh! no (Austen 74). Elizabeth s decision to believe Mr. Wickham originates her prejudice towards Mr. Darcy into the novel. However, in the end, the reader finds out that Jane had actually been correct in that Darcy can never have done such a horrible thing and that he had actually given Wickham the money his father left for him. The Ethical Decision Making Is A Vital Part Of The Foundation Sound ethical decision making is a vital part of the foundation for any organization and its individuals looking for stability and longevity in their respective industries. In other words, it is extremely important for organizations, managers, and employees to practice ethical decision making. The course textbook provides a significant piece of evidence to support this: According to a global survey of almost 500,000 employees, efforts to promote ethics are associated with better business performance. In high integrity company cultures, employees were far less likely to see significant business misconduct. And at companies where employees were encouraged to speak up about wrongdoing, financial returns to shareholders were higher (Bateman and Snell 174). A look at a couple of ethical blunders in recent history further cements this idea. Enron and WorldCom both utilized unethical methods to boost earnings and appear more profitable while paying less tax during a time when revenue growth was slow and stock prices were declining (Obringer 10). Accounting books were obfuscated so that no one could tell what was legal and what wasn t (Obringer 8). In the end, Enron and WorldCom filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The lack of sound ethical decision making at the head of each organization resulted in major collapses. The kind of decision making within companies such as Enron or WorldCom are the exact opposite of a company like GE that values ethical business practices. An important ... • 11. Left And Right Hemispheres Of The Brain Essay I.The left and right hemispheres of the brain have many different functions, but they also work together to accomplish certain tasks. The brain is a soft, shiny, grayish white, mushroom shaped structure. It is a bundle of nerve tissue that has a mass of about three pounds on average. During the 1900s a neurophysiologist well known as Roger Sperry had determined that the two hemispheres operated individually, but could still communicate with each other. During the 1950s the corpus callosumwas ascertained. Placed between the two hemispheres it receives information from both sides and helps the two sides communicate. On the other hand, over the past two decades the brains and nervous systems of various animals have had a tremendous impact on our findings on the two hemispheres. It has mainly helped us with our understanding about the brains organization. The brainhas many vessels that are very firmly packed together and they transport food and oxygen to the brain and they also block out harmful bacteria and germs. Even though, a number of the infants acquire this immunization, their immunity still lacks. In 2012, there was a report of 21 confirmed cases in the local area of pertussis and 20 that were unconfirmed (Fort Hood Sentinel, 2012). There was a confirmation that pertussis was seen in children under the age of one. Additionally, doctors have made it clear that the infants that contracted pertussis at a younger age are at risk for respiratory compromise (Fort Hood Sentinel, 2012). Pertussis has been described as an upper respiratory disease in which 10 12 days later the child develops this whopping cough. In Bell County, the doctors recommended immediate notification if an infant is affected so treatment can promptly begin. It is significant to understand that pertussis can kill the infants which is the reason why vaccination among the adults and children is imperative. It is necessary for both mental and physical development, and our survival as a species has relied on our ability to react to changes in our environment. • 16. Man And Evil In Joseph Conrad s Heart Of Darkness Although the author Joseph Conrad never met the German philosopher Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz, who died more than a century before Conrad s birth, their distinct philosophies still have numerous points of intersection, suggesting some fundamental truths within the structure of the human reality. Through the novella, Heart of Darkness, Conrad details his perspectives on the faults of man and reality as a whole, with views often coinciding with many of Leibniz s own, as found in his numerous philosophical works. Consequently, the two perspectives combine together, like a cyclopean image, to enhance and deepen each of the two men s philosophies on humanity. Conrad and Leibniz both note that man has an underlying vulnerability to evil. Among Leibniz s many conceptual principles is that of perfection vs imperfection, as he claims that no being is entirely flawed or completely ideal (Burnham, n.d.). Rather, all men possess varying magnitudes of perfection, except God, however, whom Leibniz believes to be the embodiment of infinite perfection (Burnham, n.d.). Continuing, Leibniz explains that man s limited perfection causes a lack of good, in contrast to just an unequivocal inherent evil, that consequently allows man the ability to create evil, arguing that evil and sin are only negations of positive reality, a principle that corresponds heavily with Leibniz s belief in theodicy, which serves as an attempt to explain and reconcile evil in the world with its creator, a ... The short term consequences were also highly prominent as over 300,000 Germans fled to America in the years 1917 23. However this does not undermine the fact that the Treaty was highly influential in shaping German history. Finally the Treaty can be held responsible for the rise of Hitler in 1933. Moreover Hitler used the Treaty as a major campaigning point because many Germans were still aggrieved by the terns imposed by the Treaty, thus enabling Hitler s rise to prominence to be swift; however there are many extenuating factors, such as the Reichstag fire in 1933. It certainly could be argued that this information gathering is a necessary and sufficient means to an end. Dr. Blenkhorn notes that there is a generally accepted ethical view with respect to information gathering in Europe and North America, but in other countries, this perspective is quite different. Prejudices are rooted in a person s sense of justice, which is most likely why I have a prejudice against negative and unkind people. Because I have such a strong value of kindness I have developed a slight prejudice towards those who do not share this value though I try my best to not act upon this prejudice. The contrasting aspect of the prejudices contained in my worldview are my loves. What a person loves is such a broad subject it can mean anything from a person to a meal to a color. Some of my loves include my family, friends, food, my cat, myself, and hope that can be found when you least expect it. Each one of these things are large parts of my life that have influenced my life in a positive way and this positive influence is most likely why I have come to love them so much. Of course I love other things like books I have read like: Harry Potter, Les Miserables, and Stephen Hawking s Brief History. Or shows I watch like: Supernatural, Sherlock, Criminal Minds, and Merlin. Or even my sweatpants, the color blue, and my soccer cleats. But all of these things have a lesser impact on my life even though I love them. In this way a person s loves shape their core values and yet are also shaped by those values. Arguments of Christopher Browning versus Daniel John Goldhagen Regarding The German View of the Holocaust The arguments of Christopher Browning and Daniel John Goldhagen contrast greatly based on the underlining meaning of the Holocaust to ordinary Germans. Why did ordinary citizens participate in the process of mass murder? Christopher Browning examines the history of a battalion of the Order Police who participated in mass shootings and deportations. He debunks the idea that these ordinary men were simply coerced to kill but stops short of Goldhagen s simplistic thesis. Browning uncovers the fact that Major Trapp offered at one time to excuse anyone from the task of killing who was not up to it. Despite this offer, most of the ... Goldhagen argues that for centuries, nearly every German was possessed of a homicidal animus towards Jews and thus 80 to 90 percent of Germans would have relished in the occasion to eliminate Jews. (Goldhagen dissents from Christopher Browning s estimates that 10 20 percent of the German police battalions refused to kill Jews as stretching the evidence ). It is one of Goldhagen s central arguments that the police battalions were prototypical of the murderous German mind set. Goldhagen s true distinction from Browning is to argue that German anti Semitism was not only a significant but rather it was the sufficient condition for perpetrating the extermination of the Jews. Goldhagen observes that if it was not for Hitler s moral authority , the vast majority of Germans never would have contemplated the genocide against the Jews. He also argues that by the time Hitler came to power, the model of Jews that was the basis of his anti Semitism was shared by the vast majority of Germans. • 25. Themes In The House On Mango Street Journal 5 In the novel, the House on Mango Street, Esperanza constantly thinks about her dream of success and leaving Mango Street. The unfortunate situations and circumstances of those who live in her neighborhood increase her strive for this future. For instance, she doesn t want to chose marriage as an easy way out of the neighborhood, like what most women on Mango Street choose to do. Moreover, she wants to obtain success and independence from the neighborhood on her own. Through her writing and education, she defies the typical fate most of the people in the neighborhood end up with. Cisneros uses the thematic idea of dreaming to reveal the theme that a person may have to contain the initiative to take a more challenging path to obtain success. In the novel, people tend to rely on chance and luck to change their fate rather than taking action to improve their circumstances. For example, Esperanza s mother claims that [w]hen [they] win the lottery (86), they can buy a house on the hills (86). Waiting to win a lottery is impractical and Esperanza realizes this because she s tired of looking at what [they] can t have. (86). Consequently, Esperanza becomes even more determined to own [her] own house. (87). Esperanza knows that she has to work to get the house, not wait on lotteries, which are unreliable. Physical, emotional or psychological harm can easily befall someone on their travels from Booth s Badland to Homeland. One s willingness to accept the burden of suffering, begrudgingly or otherwise, resonates throughout the toils of a spiritual traveller in many forms. Sacrificing oneself or aspects thereof in the pursuit or support of one s spirituality often presents challenges unique to the journey itself; as Heraclitus of Ephesus said, You could not step twice into the same river; for other waters are ever flowing on to you. In The Butterfly Mosque by G. Willow Wilson and the film Silence, directed by Martin Scorsese, we see two different perspectives on the notion of self sacrificein search of spiritual growth and confirmation. While Willow Wilson relinquishes everything she knows in search of a new world that may open her eyes farther than the Western world ever could, the travels of SebastiГЈo Rodrigues begin to strengthen his resolve in God, which would be dashed and battered against the Kyushan shores. Both individuals will be shown to demonstrate the impact acts of self sacrifice have on ones spirituality, for better or for worse; whether it is one s intent to alter their entire system of belief or not, the costs that spirituality extolls from a person can have a wide range of unintended effects. Faith can itself be subject to sacrificial acts; in order to save something else, one might ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Through my experience, I hear how girls can be taken advantage of, and move from partner to partner as a reaction. Avoiding a broken heart can be accomplished by having a strong heart that is selective and strives for mutual and balanced commitment. A final reason for a teenage girl to be cautious with her heart is in connection to her self worth. When a girl gets her heart broken, she may feel intense loneliness, or she may look quickly for someone else to love and care for in order to avoid or fill the void of emotional pain. This would make sense since games now have real life applications and implications. But all things considered, the difference between a game and a simulation is arbitrary and based strictly on one s definition of each term. If the difference relies on how realistic the game is in its mechanics and play style, then Call of Duty might as well be called a combat simulator. Does a VR set such as the Oculus Rift along with the still in development rifle shaped controller and multi direction gaming treadmill automatically turn a game into a simulation? Perhaps every game is a low stakes simulation of its real life counterparts. Pit, then, is a non digital, non profit simulation of stock market trading...that is, of course, unless one started playing for money. Then, does the inclusion of money turn a game into a simulation, or even into work? These terms are debatable. What is clear is the driving factor behind why games are made beyond artistic expression, though not mutually exclusive of it, is the desire for profit.
