For this course we received a hands on opportunity to view science in an outdoors
setting at Nixon County Park. I attended a training session to learn more about the
practices and procedures of nature education and assisted two grade levels of
children that visited the park. I helped first graders on a nature walk and fourth
graders on an indoor lesson about animals. Both were unique experiences that helped
me learn to become a better teacher of science.
On the day of the training session, I tried to use that opportunity to glean as much
information as possible from the park naturalists. I learned that some teachers do not
take into consideration how much planning and preparation it takes to go on a field
trip and what to do when they get there. Teachers have the responsibility to reach out
to the location they want to bring their students and figure out necessities such as
lunches and where to put them, locations of bathrooms, and how to use their time.
Teachers should attempt to be as organized as possible because then students will

Greek mythology refers to the myths and tales of the ancient Greeks. These legends
and myths pertain to their Gods, the nature and their heroes. It is also a brief on the
origin and significance of their cult, and the various practices that were followed by
them. Greek mythology also throws light on the origin of the world. It also has
various accounts of the lives of many different gods, goddesses and mythological
characters. Originally, the Greek mythology was in the poetic form, which has now
been converted into literary forms. It can also be found in the form of vase
paintings and votive gifts. Greek mythology can also be termed as a refined form
of the narratives that the Greeks recited during festivals and at banquets. Though
there are many contradictions that can be found to these narratives, they also add
to the fun. Greek mythology speaks about the age of Gods, the age of God and
men being friendly, and an age of heroes, where the presence of Gods had become
limited. The Greek mythology is an essential part of Greek history, and also a part of

The Future of the NCAA College athletic programs are among the most popular
sporting events in America. With this rise in popularity, the National Collegiate
Athletic Association (NCAA) and its colleges have also seen a rise in revenue in
recent years. In 2014, the NCAA made over 900 million dollars in revenue. Some
collegiate coaches, such as Kentucky s John Calipari, have yearly salaries in the
millions, not counting incentives and endorsement deals. While, clearly, money is
being made, NCAA regulations ban collegiate athletes from being paid. Many
question this rule and argue that athletes at the college level earn and deserve pay for
play. The debate to pay or not to pay college athletes rages on despite the latest court
ruling supporting NCAA policies. Because colleges and universities earn such a profit
from sporting events, many fans feel it is only fair to distribute some of the wealth to
the players. Supporters of paying student athletes feel that these young men and
women should be fairly compensated for the time demanded of the athletes and the
stress put on the athletes, physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. Those in
favor of paying college athletes contend that athletic and academic work ethic at both
high school and collegiate levels will improve, as well as, fiscal responsibility in
