Refelctive Essay
Writing a reflective essay about oneself can be a challenging task, as it requires a deep
introspection and the ability to articulate personal thoughts and experiences effectively. The
difficulty lies in the balance between being honest and insightful without veering into self-
indulgence or oversharing. One must navigate the fine line between self-reflection and
maintaining an objective perspective.
Crafting a reflective essay involves the challenge of selecting the most significant experiences or
moments for analysis. It requires a careful consideration of one's emotions, thoughts, and growth
throughout those experiences. The writer must delve into the why and how of personal
development, which can be a complex and often introspective journey.
Expressing oneself coherently is another hurdle. Finding the right words to convey emotions,
insights, and lessons learned can be a daunting task. Striking the right tone is crucial, as a
reflective essay should be both personal and universal, allowing readers to connect with the
narrative on a deeper level.
Moreover, the challenge extends to organizing thoughts in a logical and engaging manner. The
essay should have a clear structure that leads the reader through the reflective process, creating a
cohesive narrative that captures the essence of the personal journey.
In conclusion, writing a reflective essay about oneself is a formidable task that demands self-
awareness, effective communication skills, and a willingness to explore personal vulnerabilities.
It requires careful consideration of experiences, emotions, and growth, while also maintaining a
balance between self-reflection and objectivity.
If you find yourself struggling with such assignments, it's worth considering seeking assistance.

Siralos Research Paper
In the beginning, there were four divine beings that ruled the vast cosmos: Etihw, the
divine being of peace; Siralos, the divine being of light and warmth; Liliya, the
divine being of beauty;and Elux, the divine being of purity. Together, the four
immortals lived in harmony, all of their needs were fulfilled as they lived in their
respective realms that suit each individual.
Etihw lived in a realm of monochrome, her land devoid of any life aside from her
own. She saw it that there would be no peace if there was life; with life came war,
was her statement to the other three.
Siralos lived in a realm of the suns, enjoying the everlasting warmth he had given
himself. Though, with his eternal light, no life could reside in his realm, for no
humidity ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Yes, yes! We know that, Eti. How about... Terranian? Liliya wondered, holding a
bright pink rose in his hand.
No! That s too... Blegh! Something like what it represents... Earthen? Elux shrugged
at her own suggestion, jacket hung loosely over her shoulders.
Siralos got another grand idea, almost as good as the idea to create the world. Earth!
Yes, Earth! Oh, Elux, you genius! He praised his sister, who puffed out her chest in
pride. Etihw and Liliya hummed in agreement, nodding at the eldest immortal.
And so, with the agreement, the four called the world Earth, and watched as their
creation evolved into more than what they could even think of, seeing pride in their
mortals own creations. They became filled with pride each time they were reminded
of their children s progress, and watched as new conflicts arose, and die out just as
quickly. Though the four knew their creations may never know of their creator s true
existence, they didn t care.
After all, this world was simply a bonding experience like another game of marbles
for the immortals, to entertain themselves for the next few eons. Where was the harm

Vernon And Wichita Falls Case Study
Economic Development and Poverty of Vernon and Wichita Falls
In the cities of Wichita Falls and Vernon, the thought of economic growth and the
reduction of poverty does not usually cross the minds of most citizens, but as the
economic advisor of both cities, it is the main concern of my career. There are many
factors that contribute towards these issues, like tax cuts, infrastructure spending,
deregulation, and tax rebates (DePersio), but one focused inducer is agriculture
development.
Around Wichita Falls and Vernon there is a lots of agricultural centers and farmers
that help produce the needed farming and food needs for the surrounding
communities and cities. To continue to let the economy grow within these areas,

One of the new opportunities is a new coffee shop, called Frank Joe s. This
business, is not only after local people (Gregg), it is the first of its franchise to open
up here in Wichita Falls. Because of being the first in the city, they had to hire
completely new employees. Located in Parker Square (Gregg), this business will
continue to help expand the square to become home to more and more other
corporations. Alongside Frank Joe s, the AT T cell phone center in Wichita Falls
will be hiring over 100 new employees in the near future (2 Ingle). The people hired
will start out anywhere from $10.73 to $11.63 per hour, and on top of that, they will
receive many benefits (2 Ingle). Both of these companies bring a new kind of
economic relief to this area, and give the cities of Vernon and Wichita Falls the
chance to decrease poverty with AT T s starting wages and the motivation to cause
economic growth. Accompanying the new jobs, the economic infrastructure also

Examples Of Odysseus Admirable Character In Homer s
Odyssey
Odysseus as an Unadmirable Character In the epic poem, The Odyssey, by Homer,
a hero named Odysseus takes a journey back from the Trojan War in Troy.
Odysseus and his crew must make their way home to Ithaca, where he leads with
his wife. He displays himself, in some instances, brave and courageous, but
everyone has their flaws. Odysseus is actually not a good leader or an admirable
character. Odysseus lacks some of the very important qualities of being a great
leader. Instead he is very prideful, stubborn, and lacks responsibility. First of all,
Odysseus is very prideful. When their ship landed on an island and they realized
there was someone living there, they went out to explore the area. A huge cave was
seen and they later discovered is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
An example of this can be shown when Odysseus meets a witch goddess named
Circe, she tells them how to get back home. She warns him and the crew to stay
away from Helios s island, but Odysseus is to stubborn to follow her instructions.
For example, Homeward you think we must be sailing to our land; no, elsewhere
is the voyage Circe has laid upon me. (Book X lines 21 23) They end up going to
his island and it doesn t turn out to well. The men eat Helios s cattle when they are
not supposed to. If Odysseus wasn t so stubborn to take Circe s instructions, they
wouldn t be stuck in the situation. Another situation where Odysseus was very
stubborn is when they first arrived at the Kyklops cave. There was plenty of food
to eat and his crew wanted to leave at once and take all the food. For instance, Why
not take these cheeses, get them stowed, come back, throw open all the pens, and
make a run for it? (Book IX lines 242 244) Instead of listening to their suggestion,
Odysseus wanted to see who lived there. Odysseus thought what kind of gift he
would receive from who loved in the cave. For example, Yet I refused. I wished to
see the caveman, what he had to offer no pretty sight, it turned out, for my friends.
(Book IX lines 248 250) This shows that Odysseus didn t care for their ideas and
wanted it his way. This proves another trait as to why he is not
What Is The Theme Of Conflict In Lord Of The Flies
The book Lord of the Flies was written after the author William Golding came back
from second world war. William golding used his experiences from the conflict of
the war to write a book that has conflict as the core message. This is shown by the
direct war between civiliation and savagary. It is also shown by the underline
descriptions of the children being opposite to each other. The first point in the
book is the conflict between civilation and savagary. The conflict between these
two areas are shown by the using imagery of the two characters who represent
them. This is shown by the decription of both ralph and jack, the protaganist and
the antagonist. Ralph is shown within this book as The boy with fair hair , the fair
mentioned in this quote shows not only the colour of the boys hair but also has a
double meaning for the boy s nature. This shows that the boy is fair , kind,
civilised. The colour of the boy s hair also can symbolised that he is neutral or even
kind because of the fair colour (i.e white/blond)is lacking darkness... Show more

The main quotes that show the island are The shore was fleged with palm trees and
The long scar smashed into the jungle . These quotes present the island as both hell
and paradise. This can be seen by the imagary of the palm trees and the language
used to describe the parts of the island such as scar and how the smash into the
island. Both these words are veery negative showing that the island is much like
hell but the children see it as paradise because there are no parents that is why it is
show in both ways. The book The Lord of the Flies has the message of confict to
the core. This in my opinion is used to give the user insight into a battlefield. I
belive that the writer has used children to make the point more absorable and more
understandable from all walks of life. The writer has used his expeeriences to give
the conflict in this book meaning and
Women and the 1st Century Jesus Movement Essay
There are no known writings that chronicle the life of Jesus or his teachings during
his lifetime; rather there is an accumulation of written sources that arose decades
after his death (Seat 8/25). Originally, Jesus teachings were passed down orally, but
eventually, Christians began to write down the oral traditions decades later after his
death, specifically after the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70CE (Seat 8/25). As
a result, it is important to note that there is a time discrepancy. Jesusdied in 30 CE,
but it was not until 70CE that Christians began to write down his teachings; therefore,
this time difference has led to different interpretations of his teachings (Seat 9/1). As
highlighted by Barbara MacHaffe it is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
These women followed him, and ministered to him in Galilee (NRSV, Mark 15: 40
41). Thurston explains that to follow is a technical term for discipleship throughout
the Gospel and she also explains that ministered is best translated to provided or
served (Thurston 69). Therefore, Jesus male disciples followed him and were
expected to minister, actions which were also carried out by the women as depicted
in the Gospel of Mark (i.e. Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses,
etc). From this explanation, one can conclude that women in the 1st century Jesus
movement assisted Jesus in his mission to spread Christianity.
It is also important to note, that the women in the Gospel of Mark, unlike Jesus male
disciples, understand Jesus significance. For instance, in Mark 14:3 9, an anonymous
woman anoints Jesus head with an expensive oil, and in response the people at the
dinner table criticize her action. In this case, Thurston contends that the anointment
foreshadows Jesus death and that more importantly the anonymous woman
comprehends that Jesus is the crucified Messiah (Thurston 75). This demonstrates
that women in the 1st century Jesus movement understood who Jesus was, which
explains why they displayed unyielding faith. The males on the other hand are
Essay about Corruption in Politics
When it comes to corruption in politics, no one is immune. Both parties have had
their share. Not too long ago three members of Congress who are Republican were
indicted due to political and financial scandals (Wallis, 2012). Two are currently
under investigation and one is in prison (Wallis, 2012). Part of the problem in these
corruption scandals involves the ability of interest groups to determine policy as
well as pork barrel spending (Wallis, 2012). While corruption takes place at all levels
of government, it has been particularly noticeable in the U.S. Congress. In the United
States, there are two Senators elected from each state and numerous Congressmen
who comprise the United States Congress. Of those elected, there have been... Show

Those in Nevada thought they might influence him since he was in a position of
high authority (Solomon, 2011). In this situation, one has to wonder about the
seriousness of the corruption. The article goes on to report: He defended the gifts,
saying they would never influence his position on the bill and was simply trying
to learn how his legislation might affect an important home state industry

influence his decisions? The general rule is as follows: Senate ethics rules
generally allow lawmakers to accept gifts from federal, state or local governments,
but specifically warn against taking such gifts particularly on multiple occasions
when they might be connected to efforts to influence official actions (Solomon,
2011). While perhaps the Senator was within the law in accepting the gifts,
certainly it has the appearance of impropriety. In the manual, examples are
provided as to what is not acceptable, such as a time when an Oregon lawmaker
took gifts for personal use from the president of the South Carolina State
University (Solomon, 2011). The school was trying to exert its influence
(Solomon, 2011). What do the experts say? The article goes on to explain: Several
ethics experts said Reid should have paid for the tickets, which were close to the
ring and worth between several hundred and several thousand dollars each, to avoid
the appearance he was
Reaction Paper On Preposition
Preposition is a part of a sentence. Without a preposition, a sentence may not carry
any meaning even. A sentence may fail to give its complete meaning without a
preposition. It is the most commonly used functional word in sentences. A
preposition is placed anywhere in a sentence. According to the rules of forming a
sentence, a sentence does not end with preposition. The usage of preposition at the
end of sentence is not grammatically correct, still, it is used. It is permissible in the
modern times. A preposition that comes at the end of sentence is called stranded
preposition. No concrete and clear definition can be given for each preposition
except for a few. Most of the time, the meaning of prepositions can only be inferred...

(Placed over)
Preposition may be of a word or phrase,
e.g. (of words) at, in, on, etc.
e.g. (of phrases)
In spite of , on account of, instead of, etc. At times a preposition functions as a
modifier. (I.e. as an adjective or as an adverb)
e.g.
We arrived at 12 0 clock. (Adverb)
The news about him is not true. (Adjective)
The word preposition has its origin from a Latin word praepositia meaning placed
before that is pre positioned. It is placed before a noun, a pronoun, or a phrase. It
shows or explains its temporal or logical relationship of an object (a noun, a pronoun,
or a phrase)
with some other noun or pronoun or adjective or phrase in sentences. Preposition tells
or gives the information or idea on the relationship between nouns or pronouns or
something else. It tells, in what relation a noun or a pronoun stands in regard to
something else in a sentence.
The cat is under the table.
Here the preposition under is placed before the noun table and explains in what way
the noun cat stands in relation to the other noun table, in other words, the preposition
under, explains in what way the two nouns cat and table is related to each other:

State Of Nature Frankenstein
Persisting in discourses on state of nature even today, the theories of these two
philosophers provide various views on what man s state of nature may be; they
contain thoroughly developed hypotheses that stand individually as major influences
in state of nature philosophy. State of nature theories previously defined and
developed by notable philosophers became a guide for the state of nature discourse in
Frankenstein. Initially, Shelley seems to side with Thomas Hobbesin her ideas
regarding man s state of nature. Hobbes asserted that man is naturally violent and
the condition of Man...is a condition of Warre of every one against every one
(Hobbes). By using Hobbes s definition of the condition of man, one would infer that
a constant state of violence would be apparent in a state of nature. Conflict is an

In his interactions with society, the Creature often reacts aggressively, because
[their] purpose [is] to kill [him] and do [their] duty towards [him], and [he does his]

end the life of his Creature, the Creature s reciprocating duty is in turn to defend his
life by eliminating the lives of his adversaries. This conflict between Creature and
Man generates a state of war which is carried out by the Creature s following acts of
extreme violence: the murders of William Frankenstein, Henry Clerval, Elizabeth
Lavenza, and finally, Victor Frankenstein himself. Although the Creature behaves
violently in many instances, this cruelty is not the most prominent aspect of his
inherent nature. Upon further inspection, Shelley s stronger support of Rousseau s
theories becomes more apparent. Shelley clearly reaffirms the noble savage idea that
savages are not bad...because...[of] the peacefulness of [man s] passions, and [his]

Management Theories During The Industrial Revolution
During the industrial revolution, a number of management theories were introduced
which have helped contribute to our understanding of the structure of management in
the current business setting. These many different theories have assisted managers in
conceptualising new ways of the organisation and managementof their workplace.
Several theories have influenced and contributed to today s modern management
theories, these include the Scientific Management Theory, which was introduced by
Frederick Taylor and the Human Relations Movement developed by Elton Mayo and
his work on the Hawthorne studies. Both of these theories tried to introduce the best
way possible to achieve maximum productivity within the work place. This essay will
discuss the contributions of these theories in the development of the modern
management theory, and in particular, how these past theories have contributed to the
development of the contingency theory, and two separate approaches to modern
management, in the quantitative and behavioural approach.
Scientific management Fredrick Taylor
Several modern management theories have been shown to have their roots stemming
from the ideologies of the scientific management theory. The basic principles of
scientific management include standardised work activity based on measurement and
formulae, workers are matched to tasks, coordination of activities in order to execute
a number of related tasks and separation of planning and execution with the aim of
maximum output. (4) The scientific management theory explores the idea that
managers should manage and the workers should work. The industrial revolution era
brought the need to bring about an increase in the effective rate of output and
productivity and that led to the introduction of the scientific management theory by
Frederick W. Taylor. Taylor was an engineer interested in efficiencies through work
measurement and coordination of tasks and focused on the problems of dividing up
labour tasks. He believed that the most efficient methods for completing a task and
for the selection, development and motivation of employees could be scientifically
determined, Taylor concluded that there was one best way to achieve things (4).
Taylor had four

Female Sexuality In Aphra Behn s, Northanger Abbey
The notions of female sexuality and social status differ significantly, from the
eighteenth century to today. Writers have always been breaking gender stereotypes
through their literary work; for example the seventeenth century satire, A Thousand
Martyrs I have made, by Aphra Behn s, Jane Austen s, Northanger Abbey and the
twenty first century manga, The Ghost in the Shell, by Masamune Shirow. These
pieces of literature attempt to change the power dynamic of femalesexuality in
society. These authors use their characters to influence different ideologies on what
it means to be female, for example, Behn s poem uses a male voice with the
perspective of a woman, Austen mocks the typical female gothic narrative with her
character Catherine,... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

Differences Between Smalltalk And Python
Type systems
Both Smalltalk and Python are dynamically typed languages. These languages will
leave the type check until run time, in contrast with statically typed languages that
enforce types at compile time. The method lookup also happens at run time allowing
more flexibility in manipulating objects. The two languages have dynamically
dispatched, which is message is evaluated depending on the receiver object at runtime
(section 3 Code lists).
Smalltalk uses untyped variables and they must be declared before using. The
reason why variables should be declared is that we can inform the compiler to leave
some memory space for variables. Python also in the same case that it has untyped
variables but those do not need to be explicitly declared. Whenever assignment
happens for variables, the declaration also occurs. Since no type checks happen at
compile time, the responsibility is of programmers to ensure that variables will
receive the correct kind of values. The two languages provide type conversions that
will return the new objects represent converted values.
Another small difference between Python and Smalltalk is that the former provides
multimethods, functions with same name and different types of argument. This is
saying that Python ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Python provides some built in functions for doing introspection such as type(),
isinstance(), callable(), and getattr(). The dir() function is one of the most important
function when doing introspection since it gives a list of attributes and methods in

structure of objects at runtime. The inner structure of an object can be changed due
to the fact that in its dictionary the pointers to a field can be reassigned at runtime.
For example (section 5 Code lists), we can add new function intro() to ref, can

To begin with this process, you might want to pick a potty spot. You should
probably do this before you bring your new puppy home. Pick one spot outside and
when you bring your pup out take her directly there. Dogs are animals of habit, if
you do this consistently your pup will prefer to go there than in any other spot.

interruption. Once you interrupt her grab her by the collar and take her outside to
her potty spot. If she goes praise her, if not, then supervise her better next time. It
can be frustrating at times, but don t hit her or rub her nose in her mess, because
she will then be scared of doing her business in front of you inside or outside. This
will result in her instead of peeing on the carpet in plain sight, she will go hide
somewhere where she thinks you can t see her, which isn t good This is the
process of potty training your new puppy. This process might take 1 2 weeks or 1

puppy has. Remember not to punish her for her mistakes because she will get
scared of you and see you as a crazy person. Also remember to praise her when she
does good with a reward that she likes. Once she is trained you can have fun with your

The Value Of Art And Art
The ownership of art in 2017 is typically brought up in discussions regarding works
of art with seven to eight digit price tags, owned by individuals with a net worth
that can be described using nine to ten digits. However, popular opinion would
probably agree that the person who has the single greatest appreciation for art is the
art historian. Popular opinion would also be quick to agree that the art historian
does not value a work of art in accordance with the market s appraisal of a given
piece. The art historian s origin is grounded in academia rather than profit margins or
financial ownership.
The art historian s obligation lays in their responsibility to spread the wealth of
knowledge associated with the history of art while also ... Show more content on

However, if art historians were to take a passive stance to art that is at risk of being
destroyed because it is located in an area of geopolitical unrest, then they risk losing
the very subjects that legitimizes their occupational responsibilities. For example, we
have seen that works located in the turbulent sectors of the Middle East have been
wiped out on massive scales. AndrГ© Emrich highlighted the greatest contemporary
tragedy regarding the aforementioned statement in his essay, Improving the Odds:
Preservation through Distribution:
The worst act of barbarity to inaugurate the new millennium was the horrifying
destruction in 2001 by the Taliban and Al Qaeda in Afghanistan of the giant statues of
Buddha at Bamiyan, and the smashing of every piece of figurative art that could be
found in the National Museum. The unprecedented, deliberate destruction has left
nothing but photographs of the art of entire cultural epochs. (source)
Perhaps obvious, but the necessary ethical response to tragedies such as this is to
ensure the best possible chance for the collective preservation of art. Art historians
have no obligatory association with a specific nation or institution, their obligation is
to maintain and develop the narrative of art. This cannot be done if the art they would
like to examine evaporates from history due to rogue extremist human action.
Typically, disputes over repatriation are reserved to those who represent the
respective nations
Mental Health Issues In College Students
Abstract The primary purpose of this paper is to review literature and studies
regarding mental health issues in college students and on college campuses. An
overwhelming trend of mental health concerns have been raised in this population.
There are many variables and factors involved in the well being of college age
individuals. Stressors and triggers often disrupt the optimal daily functioning of this
group. The college environment brings unique barriers to mental health wellness as
well as an excellent untapped potential for prevention and education initiatives and
programming. This review was focused on the complex nature of mental health issues
in the specificity of college age students and in the unique college campus

Higher education institutions have a remarkable opportunity to positively educate
and support a massive college student population and thus help provide the necessary
resources to the many students struggling with mental health issues and concerns.
Creative programming and strategies should be implemented throughout college
campuses with an emphasis on proactive coping skills, intervention and mental health
promotion. Meeting the needs of a diverse population, a population experiencing an
unbalanced stage of life and finding ways to effectively connect with these
individuals must be an area of emphasis in framing campus resources and
West Side Story Play Analysis
West Side Story is about a conflict between two rival gangs, the Jets and the Sharks,
which comes to a head when Tony, a former Jets member, and Maria, the sister of
the leader of the Sharks, fall in love. Although the play centers around Tony and
Maria, the character of Anita (played by Karli Dinardo) caught my eye since she
revealed her purple dress which was different from the reds of the Sharks and
blues of the Jets and I found myself drawn to her in each scene she was present in. I
also found myself drawn to members of the Sharks as I understood the racism they
faced from members of the Jets, Officer Krupke, and Detective Schrank. The
characters of Tony and Mariawere actually the characters I didn t really like as I saw
them both as selfish.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
I found that many of the actors in West Side Story vocals fit well with their
characters such as Carly Evans soprano like voice that seemed so innocent to the
world just like Maria. The orchestra ability to match the emotions of the song or
scene was very beneficial in letting the audience know of Tony and Maria s undying
love for each other in Tonight through the use of light and upbeat notes or Anita s
anger in A Boy Like Thatwhich uses harsher notes. The effects of the characters
emotions would not have been as evident if the instrumentals they sang along too
didn t match the emotions they felt. Although the play is surrounded by dark
themes, there are musical numbers with a tinge of comedic value such as in
America where Rosalia praises Puerto Rico through phrases such as Puerto Rico,
you lovely island and Anita retorts back Puerto Rico, you ugly island or Gee
Officer Krupke where the Jets are joking as to what to say to Officer Krupke
ending the song with Gee, Officer Krupke. Krup you! . In many of the musical
numbers, there seems to be a kid friendly approach as profanity is nowhere to be
found with the replacement of words such as Buggin in the Jet Songs although slurs
such as spic and brown boy fill the script. Besides the musical numbers, there were
also sound effects in
Traditional Ways Of Business Transactions
Introduction
This raises several sub questions. Who will protect the authors rights in the
industry? Will they still be able to earn a living with their writing if publishers and
agents are no longer the key players of the book industry? Who will provide a certain
control in the quality of the publications?
In this paper I intend first to explain the traditional ways of business transactions in
the book industry as well as the traditional types and tasks of the industry s
intermediaries and gatekeepers. I will then explain what changed after the emergence
of digitization and the introduction of the amazon kindle in 2007. In the end I will
make some suggestions and predictions for the future of the industry.
When authors needed intermediaries and gatekeepers
Before the era of digitization, agents, publishers and publishing houses have been, for
a long time, the key intermediaries/gatekeepers of the book industry. The traditional
way of publishing in the book industry was completely different from the present.
Back then authors were in absolute need of, in some cases an agent to make the
connections as well as all the negotiations with the publishing houses or in others,
directly a publisher to get their book edited, printed, distributed and advertised
(Caves, 2000).
Regarding the agent as an intermediary, when an author decides upon hiring one, their
relation and chemistry is rather important. According to Caves, the agent is a first
stage gatekeeper and difficult to

my grandmother that I am having difficulty in learning English, since Spanish is my

purpose of reading books. The vivid illustration and short sentences captivate me to

to his audience that people face hardships throughout life, but they can surpass their
obstacles with determination. Likewise, in my Waiting Place, I am conflicted with

song is an acapella piece and he uses very rich harmonies that switch from being

One big element that he uses in this song is imitative polyphony. At the part of the
song when the choir sings Then died that she ,the soprano comes in then the alto

The song utilized soft dynamics like pianissimo and loud dynamics like

Arthurian Legend Essay
Arthurian Legend
Even though the Arthur legend is hundreds of years old, our culture today is still
fascinated with the idea of the Round Table and the love triangle between Arthur,
Lancelot, and Guinevere. There are movies and books galore to read about the
different takes on the legend of Arthur. However, it makes one wonder if our culture
really understands the Arthurian legend. Especially in the movies the central idea of
a literary work can be lost. Compared to Malory s Le Morte d Arthur have movies
lost sight of what the Arthurian legend tries to teach?
Le Morte d Arthur has several different themes working within in for Hollywood to

Unfortunately, the Round Table is destroyed by the above mentioned betrayal.
Another theme that is also borrowed from Beowulf is the idea of the sword
representing destruction. The sword in the stone is what starts a great deal of the
trouble. The sword is what continues to start such trouble. Merlin warns Arthur that
the sword is better off in its sheath but Arthur does not listen. Instead, the sword is
used to try to solve problems and ends up creating many more.
The last major theme was a common one during the time Malory was writing:
courtly love. This theme is definitely something our culture has dwelled on. The idea
of two lovers who cannot be together because of marriage is all too interesting for
the culture that is also obsessed with soap operas. One could say that many more
movies that do not even mention Arthur could be based on the Arthurian legend if
they imitate courtly love. Any movie with a love triangle could be game. However,
the key element of courtly love is that there must be a third party. If the love is not
forbidden it just is not worth the trouble.
The first movie examined for the comparison was Disney s The Sword in the Stone.
Without even watching it, one knows there are striking differences. One main
reason for several differences if that the movie is a cartoon and is geared towards
children. A children s movie is not going to try to

But before we can talk about what the Federal Reserve does and its responsibilities,

Taking a Look at Hinduism
Many religions offer an exact path to the afterlife; illuminated by various rules and
regulations that one must follow to reach enlightenment. Hinduism, on the other
hand, is much more complex, offering multiple ways to achieve moksha and
providing many answers to the ancient question of what happens after we die? Many
people think that Hindus believe in many deities, but the Hindu concept of Godis
much broader than that. In fact, Hinduismitself encompasses much more than just
one specific set of religious beliefs. While some Hindus believe that God is a
divine being with certain identifiable attributes, others believe that God cannot be
defined and is an all pervading being that extends beyond everything. Although
some beliefs differ, the majority of Hindus see the concept of God in multiple
ways. Among these are the concepts of God as one and many, God and the soul,
God as sound, God as image, God in nature, cows, and avatara. One of Hinduism s
most distinguishing features is the concept of multiple gods. These multiple gods
are manifestations of the various powers of the divine. Hindus believe that the all
pervasive God is both one and many. Because this concept carries the idea of God
as an omnipresent being, everything can be seen as being God s form. Hindus
worship many Gods, but they also believe that the divine is singular or one. These
Gods are representations of different aspects of the overall God. Although their

Anatomy course:
Disorganization of course material o Class reading assignments did not match
Lecture o Lecture PowerPoints were not provided despite request from several
students. It was usually provided a couple of days before the test. This shortened the
time to study, memorize and focus on the necessary anatomical structures.
Lack of guidance on how to study the information presented
As recommended during the PA orientation, I read the assigned readings for my
courses; however, for anatomy, this exercise quickly became futile only because it did
not contribute to helping to understand lectures provided in class. With voluminous
reading assignments, many times, the anatomy lecture focused little or none from the
information in the textbook. Lectures mostly presented anatomical structures and so
focus on images were paramount. Therefore, the reading did little to help understand
lecture material if one is not familiar enough with the anatomical structures. While
this was the case, the PowerPoints with the anatomical structures were not provided.
Insufficient consistent guidance in the Anatomy Cadaver lab
Initially there was no tutoring and/or review sessions for the lab. Many of us were

Essay on Contributions of Diversity to the Workplace
Contributions of Diversity to the Workplace
Diverse employees bring a wealth of creativity, insights, and skills to their jobs; it is
up to employers to recognize, cultivate, and value these contributions (Walton, Sally,
1994). Diversity is about setting a mindset of valuing the differences in people and
recognizing the similarities, it is not only about achieving results. Once this way of
thinking is established, the benefits of cultural diversity in the workplace tend to
come naturally, (Goessl, Leigh 2008). Diversity encompasses race, gender, ethnic
group, age, personality, cognitive style, tenure, organizational function, education,
background and more, (Greenberg, Josh 2004)

These differences are beneficial because it opens up new possibilities which can be
experienced in the form of innovation and creativity.
The various life experiences and alternate perspective shared with each other often
lead to unique new and innovative ideas that can be financially beneficial to the
company because they often lead to new products or services.
New Solutions: Often businesses experience a level of problems with their task
processes or things don t run as smoothly as they could. Through diversity solutions
to problems can come forth that may not have emerged if not for the different cultural
backgrounds or practices.
Cost Effective: In an article written by Gail Robinson and Kathleen Dechant in 1997
entitled Building a Business Case for Diversity , it was presented that several
organizational studies concluded pursuing diversity in the workplace resulted in less
absenteeism, employee turnover costs and a lessened liability in discrimination
lawsuits.
Companies that have experienced any of these costs know firsthand how expensive
they can be.
Appeal to Customer Base: People like to see themselves reflected in the organizations
they do business with. It stands to reason that the more culturally diverse a company
is, the more diverse the customers
New Laws For The United States
We leave it up to our politicians in Congress to come up with and pass bills that
become new laws for the United States. However, when it comes to making them
up, could it be in some situations that laws are made with the politician s personal
beliefs and feelings in mind rather than what he is supposed to represent? For laws
that already exist, is it the same case? We observe situations like Willie Horton,
Benghazi, and Trump University that get thrown around to stir up emotion. For
example, with Trump University, we see Donald Trump fussing over the lawsuits
and how they were handled because of his belief that it all had something to do
with Judge Curiel s ethnicity, heritage and his bias against Trumps plan for the
wall. Trump stated that Curiel has An inherent conflict of interest. There is no
evidence supporting Curiel s bias, but if he was, Curiel would have been using
subjective measures instead of objective measures for the case. We elect the
politicians that we see best fit the job they are running for. However, politicians are
people too and people have emotions. Emotions can cause politicians to lose
perspective or misjudge the scope of the issue. Some politicians choose to make a
career out of what they are doing and they wind up in office for their whole lives.
With this, they face many issues and situations that are very stressful. In the end, this
shapes who they become and what decisions they make. In the political world, every
decision you make is

Summary Of Chains By Laurie Halse Anderson
Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson portrays the life of Isabel, a young slave in the
American Colonies. When her master died, she was promised freedom out of her
will. However, her master s nephew took her ownership and is sold to the Lockton
family. During this period of hardship, another great conflict takes place. The
American Revolution. The Colonies are in turmoil with Britain. They feel as if they
are treated unfairly. Just like Isabel. The noveldemonstrated the risks taken to
achieve freedom to a point of equality and personal value. This shown both by the
story of Isabel, the Revolution and the people of the colonies. All throughout
Anderson has depicted this idea in a marvelous way. One of these ways is the setting
of the book.... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Several cases explain that no matter who they are they fight for who they believe
and what they want. The Locktons and the mayor of New York were close, and
they were both Tories meaning an American colonist who supported the British side
during the American Revolution(Google). With Washington gone, the revolution
will collapse... War will be averted and countless lives saved. Our world will return
to the former state of tranquility we enjoyed before all this nonsense(90). Lockton
and the Mayor still fought for what the believed no matter what is at risk. This
shows that people will fight for what they believe freedom is. The British had also
fought for what they believed as they fought the American Colonies and took
prisoners as they believed that is their value. So how many rebel prisoners did your
men bag, Colonel... Near three thousand of them devils. This shows that the British
army fought for the values and what freedom is for
Heraclitus Argumentative Essay
Heraclitus believed in a world of Logos, or logic, and that mankind lacks basic
reasoning. He stated that senses are necessary to understanding the world we live
in, but without the right language, we cannot interpret it correctly, and so, it s a
mistake for barbaric men to have senses (barbaric men do not have the capability
to learn language). Many of his ideas are widely known today. For example, expect
the unexpected and that if things happened the way we want or wish them to be,
then the world would become chaotic. Heraclitus stated, Opposition brings concord.
Out of discord comes the fairest harmony. The world is based on the balance
between opposite forces and that life is governed by a natural law of change.
According to Empedocles,
Benefits Of Integrated Managed Care
Integrated Managed Care Organization The organization is properly aligned for the
primary driver being cost cutting services. Since all entities within the organization
are responsible and affected by any expenses endured on any entity being
unfavorable or favorable, the foundation serves as a primary motivator to reduce
costs at all levels. This alignment eliminates any financial gains from driving high
utilization of services or higher intensity services within the organization. Ultimately,
this system allows the physician medical group to drive care, being responsible for
the clinical care decisions as opposed to health plan making those decisions as
designed in other organizations. This is the preferable model for Medicaid systems as

organized efficient manner. Also, this gives Kaiser the availability to flag high risk
patients with chronic conditions that could otherwise fly under the radar. Giving the
organization the ability to develop personalized care development plans and
transitioning the patients to outpatient programs as needed. Kaiser Permanente Phone

The Protestant Reformation And The Reformation Essay
The Protestant Reformation
Why the Protestant Reformation is considered a significant development in the
Christian Church.
The Protestant Reformation was an event which occurred within the Catholic Church
during the 16th century. This Reformation was prompted by Martin Luther s 95
theses which were a list of 95 criticisms towards the church. The Reformation formed
another branch of Christianity called Protestantism which is comprised of many
different Christian denominations including Anglican, Presbyterian, and Lutheran.
The Protestant Reformation is considered a vital part of the Christian Church s history
and in order to explain why, this essay will look at three key parts of the reformation:
the events which lead to Luther nailing his 95 theses on the door of the church, the
event itself, and the consequences on the Catholic Church, the Protestant Church, and
Western Society.
The first cause that I am going to talk about is the corruption that was going on
within the Catholic Church which led Martin Luther to write his 95 theses. In
order to understand why people did what they did, one must understand that
everyone was religious and no one assumed that it might be possible that what they
were taught was wrong, heaven was up above and this was why the churches were
built tall, in order to be closer to heaven and god. Hell was below and was for the
sinners; and the in between state of Purgatory, for people who didn t deserve either.
Purgatory was considered a place of

  • 1. Refelctive Essay Writing a reflective essay about oneself can be a challenging task, as it requires a deep introspection and the ability to articulate personal thoughts and experiences effectively. The difficulty lies in the balance between being honest and insightful without veering into self- indulgence or oversharing. One must navigate the fine line between self-reflection and maintaining an objective perspective. Crafting a reflective essay involves the challenge of selecting the most significant experiences or moments for analysis. It requires a careful consideration of one's emotions, thoughts, and growth throughout those experiences. The writer must delve into the why and how of personal development, which can be a complex and often introspective journey. Expressing oneself coherently is another hurdle. Finding the right words to convey emotions, insights, and lessons learned can be a daunting task. Striking the right tone is crucial, as a reflective essay should be both personal and universal, allowing readers to connect with the narrative on a deeper level. Moreover, the challenge extends to organizing thoughts in a logical and engaging manner. The essay should have a clear structure that leads the reader through the reflective process, creating a cohesive narrative that captures the essence of the personal journey. It requires careful consideration of experiences, emotions, and growth, while also maintaining a balance between self-reflection and objectivity. Siralos Research Paper In the beginning, there were four divine beings that ruled the vast cosmos: Etihw, the divine being of peace; Siralos, the divine being of light and warmth; Liliya, the divine being of beauty;and Elux, the divine being of purity. Together, the four immortals lived in harmony, all of their needs were fulfilled as they lived in their respective realms that suit each individual. Etihw lived in a realm of monochrome, her land devoid of any life aside from her own. She saw it that there would be no peace if there was life; with life came war, was her statement to the other three. Siralos lived in a realm of the suns, enjoying the everlasting warmth he had given himself. Though, with his eternal light, no life could reside in his realm, for no humidity ... Something like what it represents... Earthen? Elux shrugged at her own suggestion, jacket hung loosely over her shoulders. Siralos got another grand idea, almost as good as the idea to create the world. Earth! Yes, Earth! Oh, Elux, you genius! He praised his sister, who puffed out her chest in pride. Etihw and Liliya hummed in agreement, nodding at the eldest immortal. And so, with the agreement, the four called the world Earth, and watched as their creation evolved into more than what they could even think of, seeing pride in their mortals own creations. They became filled with pride each time they were reminded of their children s progress, and watched as new conflicts arose, and die out just as quickly. Though the four knew their creations may never know of their creator s true existence, they didn t care. After all, this world was simply a bonding experience like another game of marbles for the immortals, to entertain themselves for the next few eons. Where was the harm in another round before

Vernon And Wichita Falls Case Study Economic Development and Poverty of Vernon and Wichita Falls In the cities of Wichita Falls and Vernon, the thought of economic growth and the reduction of poverty does not usually cross the minds of most citizens, but as the economic advisor of both cities, it is the main concern of my career. There are many factors that contribute towards these issues, like tax cuts, infrastructure spending, deregulation, and tax rebates (DePersio), but one focused inducer is agriculture development. Around Wichita Falls and Vernon there is a lots of agricultural centers and farmers that help produce the needed farming and food needs for the surrounding communities and cities. Examples Of Odysseus Admirable Character In Homer s Odyssey Odysseus as an Unadmirable Character In the epic poem, The Odyssey, by Homer, a hero named Odysseus takes a journey back from the Trojan War in Troy. Odysseus and his crew must make their way home to Ithaca, where he leads with his wife. He displays himself, in some instances, brave and courageous, but everyone has their flaws. Odysseus is actually not a good leader or an admirable character. Odysseus lacks some of the very important qualities of being a great leader. Instead he is very prideful, stubborn, and lacks responsibility. First of all, Odysseus is very prideful. If Odysseus wasn t so stubborn to take Circe s instructions, they wouldn t be stuck in the situation. Another situation where Odysseus was very stubborn is when they first arrived at the Kyklops cave. There was plenty of food to eat and his crew wanted to leave at once and take all the food. For instance, Why not take these cheeses, get them stowed, come back, throw open all the pens, and make a run for it? • 5. What Is The Theme Of Conflict In Lord Of The Flies The book Lord of the Flies was written after the author William Golding came back from second world war. William golding used his experiences from the conflict of the war to write a book that has conflict as the core message. This is shown by the direct war between civiliation and savagary. It is also shown by the underline descriptions of the children being opposite to each other. The first point in the book is the conflict between civilation and savagary. The conflict between these two areas are shown by the using imagery of the two characters who represent them. This is shown by the decription of both ralph and jack, the protaganist and the antagonist. Ralph is shown within this book as The boy with fair hair , the fair mentioned in this quote shows not only the colour of the boys hair but also has a double meaning for the boy s nature. This shows that the boy is fair , kind, civilised. The colour of the boy s hair also can symbolised that he is neutral or even kind because of the fair colour (i.e white/blond)is lacking darkness... • 6. Women and the 1st Century Jesus Movement Essay There are no known writings that chronicle the life of Jesus or his teachings during his lifetime; rather there is an accumulation of written sources that arose decades after his death (Seat 8/25). Originally, Jesus teachings were passed down orally, but eventually, Christians began to write down the oral traditions decades later after his death, specifically after the destruction of the Jewish Temple in 70CE (Seat 8/25). As a result, it is important to note that there is a time discrepancy. Jesusdied in 30 CE, but it was not until 70CE that Christians began to write down his teachings; therefore, this time difference has led to different interpretations of his teachings (Seat 9/1). As highlighted by Barbara MacHaffe it is... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... These women followed him, and ministered to him in Galilee (NRSV, Mark 15: 40 41). Thurston explains that to follow is a technical term for discipleship throughout the Gospel and she also explains that ministered is best translated to provided or served (Thurston 69). Therefore, Jesus male disciples followed him and were expected to minister, actions which were also carried out by the women as depicted in the Gospel of Mark (i.e. Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James and Joses, etc). From this explanation, one can conclude that women in the 1st century Jesus movement assisted Jesus in his mission to spread Christianity. It is also important to note, that the women in the Gospel of Mark, unlike Jesus male disciples, understand Jesus significance. For instance, in Mark 14:3 9, an anonymous woman anoints Jesus head with an expensive oil, and in response the people at the dinner table criticize her action. In this case, Thurston contends that the anointment foreshadows Jesus death and that more importantly the anonymous woman comprehends that Jesus is the crucified Messiah (Thurston 75). This demonstrates that women in the 1st century Jesus movement understood who Jesus was, which explains why they displayed unyielding faith. The males on the other hand are

Not too long ago three members of Congress who are Republican were indicted due to political and financial scandals (Wallis, 2012). Part of the problem in these corruption scandals involves the ability of interest groups to determine policy as well as pork barrel spending (Wallis, 2012). Management Theories During The Industrial Revolution During the industrial revolution, a number of management theories were introduced which have helped contribute to our understanding of the structure of management in the current business setting. These many different theories have assisted managers in conceptualising new ways of the organisation and managementof their workplace. Several theories have influenced and contributed to today s modern management theories, these include the Scientific Management Theory, which was introduced by Frederick Taylor and the Human Relations Movement developed by Elton Mayo and his work on the Hawthorne studies. Both of these theories tried to introduce the best way possible to achieve maximum productivity within the work place. This essay will discuss the contributions of these theories in the development of the modern management theory, and in particular, how these past theories have contributed to the development of the contingency theory, and two separate approaches to modern management, in the quantitative and behavioural approach. Scientific management Fredrick Taylor Several modern management theories have been shown to have their roots stemming from the ideologies of the scientific management theory. The basic principles of scientific management include standardised work activity based on measurement and formulae, workers are matched to tasks, coordination of activities in order to execute a number of related tasks and separation of planning and execution with the aim of maximum output. (4) The scientific management theory explores the idea that managers should manage and the workers should work. The industrial revolution era brought the need to bring about an increase in the effective rate of output and productivity and that led to the introduction of the scientific management theory by Frederick W. Taylor. Taylor was an engineer interested in efficiencies through work measurement and coordination of tasks and focused on the problems of dividing up labour tasks. He believed that the most efficient methods for completing a task and for the selection, development and motivation of employees could be scientifically determined, Taylor concluded that there was one best way to achieve things (4).
