Donald Trump Informative Essay
Most people in this country know that Donald Trump has a problem with telling the truth. He is not
honest nor is he trustworthy and he definitely is not shy about making things up, even when they can
easily be proven false. In fact, that is what he has done just last week. According to Trump, he
received two awesome phone calls in the last week. The first one came from the Boy Scouts, telling
him what a great job he did at that speech, and how much everybody loved it, that it was just one of
the greatest things they have ever seen in their life. The second phone call he claims he got was from
the President of Mexico, congratulating him on what a wonderful job he is doing on border security
here in the United States. They just love it down there. Donald Trump s just the greatest guy that ever
lived and everything is just great... Yeah right.
Get this, neither of those phone calls actually ever happened. Donald Trump claimed that he got the
phone call from the leader of the Boy Scouts and from the President of Mexico, to congratulate him
and tell him what a wonderful person he is. Then both groups had to come out and basically said ...

Donald Trump got busted lying not once but, twice about two separate phone calls that never
happened. And the reason he s even lying about it in the first place is because he needs to boost his
own ego, because at the end of the day that is all he has. He wants to think that people are
congratulating him and think he s doing a great job. He wants to think that people like what he s
doing, because that s what his little bubble is all about. But once he steps outside that bubble, he
understands that the Boy Scout leader had to apologize to the public for how disgusting Donald Trump
s speech was. And the President of Mexico could care less about what Donald Trump is doing, he even
goes out his way to assure everybody knows that he s not paying for the stupid wall that Trump still
wants to

Privateering and its Impact on the American Revolution
Privateering and Its Impact on the American Revolution Emma Utesch History 201 122 September 18,
2012 In the 1700s, a privateer was someone who was mandated by the government to attack ships
from abroad during war time. 1During the Revolutionary War, privateer ships would receive Letters of
Marque, a decree that authorized ships to act on behalf of the nations from which they were issued for
the purpose of retaliating against another nation for some wrong such as border incursion. The

There are also several people that joined the privateer movement that were younger and wouldn t have
been let in the Navy. An example of is James Forten, an African American who joined the crew on the
privateering ship the Royal Lewis when he was fourteen as a powder boy.5 He was given this
opportunity because the privateers did not have as many restrictions on clientele as the Navy did; it is
highly probable that James Forten would not have been able to join the Continental Navy because of
his age and his race. Forten invented a new type of sail that was better for maneuvering and for
maintaining higher speeds for a longer stretch of time. Even though he did not patent his product, it
became the most widely used and prosperous sail in Philadelphia. James Forten s innovations
involving sails have influenced sailing technologies even to this day. The fortune he made by doing
this was substantial for any man, black or white. After his privateering days, he devoted more than
half of his fortune to abolitionist causes. He frequently purchases slaves freedom, opened his home as
an Underground Railroad Depot, and started a school for black children. Overall, American privateer
ships overtook and raided roughly 600 British ships during

King Henry Viii Influence On Religion
Henry the VIII has influenced the church today by making his own religion in the Catholic Church.
After Wolsey s downfall, Thomas Cromwell became Henry s chief minister and earned the confidence
of the King by helping him to break off with Rome and establish Henry the VIII as head of the Church
of England. (BBC, 2016) This profession also brought him in a lot of wealth through the dissolution of
well funded monasteries. Over four years Cromwell ordered that 800 monasteries be disbanded and
their lands and treasures taken for the crown (BBC, 2016). All the land that was sold to the gentry and
churches and monasteries were gutted and destroyed. Henry s contribution to the church started with
translating all the bibles to English and then he had ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
During the 1280 s, after Henry s son Edward had conquered Wales, the Welsh people had revolted
several times against the English people, due to Edward s conquer. But, the Welsh people finally
accepted the idea of unity with the English people. In the acts of 1536 and 1543, Henry joined both
Wales and England under one system of government. When Ireland was made a nation or kingdom in
1541, King Henry then became the king of Ireland. Henry now the king, had many wars with Scotland
and France, during 1542 Henry s troops defeated the Scotts at Solway Moss. In 1544, Henry s troops
also captured Boulogne sun Mer from the French, and then a peace treaty was made when Henry
received an indemnity from France in 1546 (history learning, 2016). Henry s wars with Scotland
remained indecisive in spite of some small victories. Though he opposed the Reformation. On January
28 1547, Henry the VIII of England died in the city of London. Henry was buried in Saint Georges
Chapel in the famous Windsor Castle. During the reign of Edward the VI, Henry the VIII s only
legitimate son, the parliament passed many more church reforms (reformation T, 2016). But, then in
1553, Edward s half sister, Mary, the daughter of Catherine of Aragon was a Roman Catholic, she

How Media Has Impacted Growing Up With A Measuring Body Image
In this advertisement it shows a little girl measuring herself with a measuring tape. By looking at this
image, it already outlines that we as society relay on having the perfect ideal women body, which is
being thin and skinny. Society also implies that valuing body image and perfection is significant that
children at a very young age are already influenced negatively growing up with a corrupted mindset.
The little girl in the photo is already measuring her waistline with a measuring tape at such a young
age. She is already feeling like she must be skinny to fit into society and is conscious of her size,
teaching her that she must look a certain way. The issue is that in society the media has
advertisements, commercials and magazines that portray standards such as women being thin, tall and
skinny. This according to the Western countries is having the perfect body image. The media shows
such unrealistic images to consumers such as these young girls to try to appear like these ideals that
are set for them from society that potentially be harmful and unhealthy which could lead to death
because of starvation leading to possible long term health disorders such as anorexia, bulimia nervosa
and nervosa. My opinion on this issue is those who are suffering with low self esteem shouldn t do
such horrific acts like starvation or dieting just to be accepted in society because they feel too fat or
they do not meet the societal standard of being perfect. Girls should relay on the ideal

Comparing Crimson Tide And A Soldier s Story
The movies I am reviewing are Crimson Tide and A Soldier s Story. The main characters in Crimson
Tide are Captain Ramsay, played by Gene Hackman; and Lieutenant Commander Hunter, played by
Denzel Washington, Ramsay s executive officer. The main characters in A Soldier s Story are Captain
Davenport, played by Howard Rollins; and Sergeant Waters, played by Adolph Caesar. Ironically, in
this movie a young Denzel Washington played a prominent role as Private First Class Peterson. This
was before he became a household name. Arguably, this movie catapulted him into superstardom. This
paper will compare and contrast the leadership styles of Captain Ramsay and Sergeant Watters.
The scene in Crimson Tide was aboard a nuclear submarine called the USS Alabama. Facing threat of
a nuclear attack from a Russian submarine, Ramsay and Hunter found themselves locked in a power
struggle because Hunter refused Ramsay s orders to launch a preemptive nuclear strike pending
confirmation of an aborted emergency action message (EAM).
Hunter s insubordination led to a mutiny and a series of armed standoffs aboard the submarine
between those loyal to Hunter and those loyal to Ramsay. When the EAM the finally came through,
Hunter s insubordination turned out to avert nuclear war. Ramsey quietly conceded that Hunter was a
correct to suggest waiting on confirmation and recommended Hunter for his next promotion before a
disciplinary hearing.

Stereotypes Of Native Americans In The Film Smoke Signals
In the movie Smoke Signals the writer Sherman Alexie frequently shows stereotypes of the Native
American people and shows the audience why the stereotypes are not true or meaningful. Focusing on
the character Thomas, the film portrays him like he would be the stereotypical Indian sitting around
the campfire telling stories. I think the film did a good job trying to show that, as he is often telling
stories and he is even guided by his dreams making him seem like a spiritual person. Specifically
citing the story when Thomas had a dream that told him to go to the river and look for a sign. This
easily displays the stereotypes of Native Americans, but it also shows the stereotype is not accurate,
because he meets Victor s dad there and they

Sympathizing With The Monster In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein
In Mary Shelley s Frankenstein, the monster appears to be disgusting, horrible and a killer. However,
readers sympathize with him since they learn about him and how he suffers throughout the story.
Besides, they like the creature as they get to know he has feelings, good intentions and that his actions
are nothing but the result of being a victim of mistreatment. This is possible because the author
includes well detailed descriptions of the character s thoughts that allow them to understand his
personality and acts. There are many reasons why readers like the creature and sympathise with him
although he makes some mistakes. First, they learn that the monster is rejected by his own creator
because of his appearance, so they feel mercy for him

Disadvantages Of Neonicotinoids
Knock Off Inorganic Pesticides to Coconut Trees The Philippines is now facing a serious industry
problem regarding the infestation of coconut scale insects, commonly known as cocolisap, to large
coconut plantations. This plant parasite eats on the leaf of a plant. This prevents photosynthesis
causing the low productivity of the plant. Cosico (2014) stated that, At least 60 percent of the total
coconut farming areas in the country, most of which are in the CALABARZON area, are infected with
cocolisap and it has crossed over to Basilan in Mindanao Region. Due to this, the government released
chemical called neonicotinoids to obviate these cocolisap. It is said that neonicotinoids is effective but

but eventually, it will also affect those natural enemies that can help to regulate the production of
cocolisap and will also affect the totality of the tree by means of the residue of neonicotinoids that is

The Role Of Temperance In Jacksonian America
Temperance, the moderation of consumption of alcohol, created conflict between different sets of
ideas and interests because the beginning of American history was heavy with alcohol use. Alcohol
was the meeting point of many. The Marine Corps was started alone in a tavern. Creating this idea of
being more moral because one doesn t drink set people off. As written in our textbook, one person s
sin is another s pleasure or cherished custom (449). The emerging middle class felt they had more
control of themselves because they didn t drink. They brought religion in it to also make some of the
public feel they were sinners for participating in a part of their culture. One large issue with
temperance was the heavy Irish and German immigrants. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

conflicting time on which way groups of people would come together as a union. It seemed our
country was split in too far of a way and it was going to either be slavery or no slavery to even cross
into our other issues. With the expansion of America going West, there needed to be drawn lines on

Informative Speech On Animal Abuse
I. There is not one circus in the United States that treats their animals humanly. According to

standards of care set by the United States Animal Welfare.
II. This is a clear indication that animal abuse is prevalent in U.S. circuses.
III. I feel credible to speak about this because I have conducted research over the past week.
IV. Today I will inform you about how animals performing in circuses are confined and restrained,
show abnormal behaviors, and are mistreated frequently.

III. Circus Animals are forced to perform tricks and mistreated when they do not perform them
correctly.
A. These animals do not naturally perform these tricks they are forced to perform them.
1. In order to train the circus animals, circus trainers physically punish them.
2. The training practices are hidden from the public eye because the circus knows they are disturbing.
B. According to lcanimal.org, animals in the circus are routinely whipped, beaten with long metal
rods, shocked with electric prods, and struck with clubs.
1. Circus trainers often hit elephants with bullhooks.
2. Circus trainers will also break bears noses to teach them to walk on their hind legs.
Conclusion:
Today I have talked to you about the conditions a circus animal lives in, how this effects their health
and how they are treated. In conclusion, baby animals are torn away from their mothers and forced

Holden s Pursuit Of Happiness In Catcher In The Rye
Happiness is only real when shared (Into the Wild). The idea of happiness is different from person to
person. Some people see it as a mindset, and others a way of life. Holden sees happiness as staying
young forever and never having to grow up and face responsibilities (Catcher in the Rye). Chris finds
happiness by escaping from all reality and being by himself in the wild (Into the Wild). But do either
of these characters find happiness? In parts of the book/ film these characters seem to be happy on the

Holden hits bottom multiple times, but most of the time he bounces back. The worst feeling in the
world for Holden was when Phoebe, the only person that seems to matter to him in life, gets mad at

The Ancient Egyptian Revolution And The Religious Services
For nothing irrational or fabulous or prompted by superstition, as some believe, was embodied in the
religious services, but ideas which either had moral and necessary causes or were not devoid of
historical or physical plausibility (De Iside et Osiride. Plutarch. 8.353e). The Ancient Egyptians
craving for Ma at over Isfet is most prevalent in this perception, with that being said the irrational as
well as the fabulous have no reason to exist in the Egyptians, or any, ordered world, thus allowing the
creation of the essentiality of sensible reasons for events of calamity, such as those of plague and
disease; the calendars of lucky and unlucky days being a primary example of the contradictory effort.
It could be thought that the calendars of lucky and unlucky days are just indicators of pure
superstition, but the Ancient Egyptians did not see it that way, therefore this thought cannot work in
this example. Henceforth, it may be that the Egyptians saw the epagomenal days as outstandingly
wicked since their prominence was that of being called the five days in addition to the year ,
disrupting the order the calendar had of being twelve thirty day months. For the duration of the
epagomenal days, the Ancient Egyptians assumed that time, neheh, remained stagnant and fearing that
djet, best described by J. Assmann as being the unchanging continuation of that which is completed ,
might persist evermore, thus forever upsetting Ma at, unless particular rituals were performed.

How Does Globalization Affect The Economy Of Sydney
As a result of this economic drive, an influence was evident on the spatial economic makeup of
Sydney. The unemployment map of the city was distributed into two opposing fragments, illustrative
of contemporaneous social geography. The highest rates of unemployment were marked in the western
and south western suburbs, while the lowest rates occupied the northern suburbs. In place of this, the
service sector, specifically finance, business, retail, community service, professional, and wholesale,
sprouted. However, this was not sufficient to counterbalance the unemployment rates. In 1996, the
services industry comprised a large 40% of employment, a step up from just 24% in 1971 (Fagan
Webber 1999), of which was concentrating in the inner city and neighbouring regions (Forster 2006).
In observation of these dynamics, the extent to which the urban layout of progressive producer
services and the additional locations of corporate headquarters have been altered by the forces of
globalisation is evident. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
But in conjunction with this socio spatial cleavage , and decentralisation of employment for a large
number of people, such an arrangement also led to a high level of automobile use. 58% of workers in

city is further evident upon observing that residents in the outer areas were made to travel lengthier
distances in order to access high order employment, with a lack of these jobs being situated in the

Analysis Of The House Of Mirth By Lara Saltz
Selden, in The House of Mirth, is a character that is part of the Elite class, but that doesn t allow the
constraints of the elites shadow his vision. In her essay, Lara Saltz argues Selden is able to see real,
poetic Lily because he possesses both an acute eye for what is materially in front of him (Saltz 1). She
continues on with this thesis, arguing that Selden posses a balance between realism and imagination,
that allows him to see the real Lily, during her performance of Sir Joshua Reynold s pain, Mrs Lloyd.
Evidence in the novel showing that Selden can see past the illusions of high life, can be seen in Lily
realizing that Selden is detached from the social world, the discussion of love between Lily and Selden
and Lily s final confrontation of Selden and subsequent death. These three pieces of evidence support
Saltz s assertion that Selden can see things for what they really are due to his ability to balance realism
and imagination. The first, being Lily s observation that Selden is detached from the social class. The
party, being thrown by Mrs. Trenor, is the stage in which Lily discovers that Selden is detached from
social class. The entire affair, starts with Lily being asked to help, it seems, to plan the weeding.

In Greek mythology, there exist creatures and monsters that are unexplainable. Those creatures and

Zeus and Poseidon are two brothers born as Greek gods according to Greek mythology. However,
even though Zeus and Poseidon are brothers and both are considered Greek gods according to Ancient

scope so it provides a moderate level of assurance on the financial statements. It is considered a sniff

Lysistrat A Political Satire Written By Aristophanes
Lysistrata was a political satire written by Aristophanes in early 400 B.C.E., and was performed in
Athens. The connection between Lysistrata and the society and culture surrounding it is deeply
significant. Due to the immense cultural pressure in this period, it s difficult to pinpoint a singular
theme that Aristophanes was trying to make a comment on. With the Peloponnesian War continuing to
lead a seemingly endless reign of chaos over Greece and its citizens, these elements of fear and
despair became very relevant in the plays of the time, most notably being Aristophanes Lysistrata.
Within such satires, it became commonplace to see women being used as satirical devices to call
attention to the craziness that had consumed society. It also contributed to the idea of women having a
social or political power and, more importantly, having worth and a voice. Although it is impossible to
know exactly which social aspects Aristophanes was trying to comment on, through historical
documents and contexts, it is clear that statements were made condemning war through the satirical
use of subverting gender norms to reinforce the foolishness in society and fighting. The fighting and
devastation that influenced Aristophanes was the result of the Peloponnesian War. The war had been
reigning terror and sorrow from about 431 to 404 B.C.E. across the Greek nation ( The Peloponnesian
War ). It was fought between Sparta and Athens, however, each of these cities served as the head of

in need. Though he is interiorly fictional , Batman has impacted thousands of lives, Including mine.
These people he has entertained when they have read his stories. He has also inspired these people to
be good citizens.I first learned of Batman when I watched his animated series as a child. I remember
that I was amazed by his black and gray costume. I also loved his villains, and his gadgets. Hours of
my childhood were spent watching Batman in his many adventures. My memory of Batman goes back
so far that I cannot remember a time when I did not know who Batman was. Now that I am an adult I
wonder, Why does Batman appeal to me so much? Could it be his costume. No, I find other super hero
costume far superior. Do Batman s villains draw me to Batman. The villain do entertain me, However,
I do not find them as interesting as Batman. Then why do I love Batman? The admiration I now have
for Batman goes deeper than the superficial aspects of the characters such as his costumes, gadget, or
villains. What instigates my desire to learn as much as I can about the character are his deeper core
elements, such as His tragedy, humanity, and morality.
The tragedy of Batman begins with the death of Bruce Wayne. Bruce Wayne was the son of the
wealthy Thomas and Martha Wayne. He had all he needed. However, when the Wayne s family
walked home from a visit to the movie theater one night,

The Lesson by Toni Cade Bambara
Teachers need to get through students on order to teach a student. Some students might not show up or
care about the class. Teachers of elementary schools have the hardest because the kids just want to
play, goof around and don t listen. Elementary teachers have hard time teaching young uneducated
students just like Miss Moore with her uneducated children from the neighborhood, in the story The
Lesson by Toni Cade Bambara. Miss Moore teaches the students how to take the first step toward a
better education just like elementary teachers, her teaching method were to show how the upper class
lived in comparison to the children but she could have though them differently by giving rewards for
something they did educationally. Furthermore, Miss Moore s teaching is related to elementary school
teachers do to the teachers of elementary schools have to lead the student on how to take the first step
towards a better education. Just like Miss Moore, elementary school teachers have a hard time
controlling the students because they are very inpatient and just want to do whatever is fun rather than
learning something that could benefit them later in future like learning how to read. Both the students
need a teacher that will lead them in the right direction Just like Miss Moore and the elementary
teachers by showing them the better. Miss Moore is a very educated for the block she has moved into

Improper Use Of Backboards
Every tool created has a proper and improper use. A tool, when used correctly, can assist the user in
successfully accomplishing a job or task. However, if that same tool applied incorrectly or over used,
it can result in undesired outcomes. In the realm of emergency medicine, the application of
backboards and cervical spine precautions has its benefits and its flaws. Since the implementation of
the backboard, it has been used for extrication, cardiopulmonary resuscitation, spinal or cervical
trauma, multi system trauma, and so on. Although there are indications for the use of backboards,
many personnel either improperly apply or apply when there is no significant injury. This paper will
address reasons why backboards are over used, how ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
This can t co exist with all patients in C Spine because the used of a backboard isn t implemented
without adverse affects. In a 1994 study, healthy volunteers ages 10 43 were placed on backboards for
only 30 minutes. This resulted in 100% of patients developing moderate to severe pain, with 29%
developing pain over the following 48 hours (Bledsoe, 2013). This pain may come from not padding
in voids or improper backboard strap placement or tightness. Keep in mind that these patients were
healthy. If an injured or unhealthy individual was to be placed in the same situation, their condition
may be more severe. For example, elderly or patients complicated with diseases like obesity,
congestive heart failure, COPD, asthma, or pneumonia may suffer from being secured to a backboard

The Pain Of Anne Bradstreet
Anne Bradstreet is very fond of her material possessions and her home. The pain, that she suffered, is
evident throughout the poem. Her life, for some time, had revolved around her domestic possessions.
To her these items represented her family, life, love, memories (past, present, and future), and possible
female inheritance. Bradstreet is deeply hurt by the loss of her material goods and possible questions
why God let such a thing happen. She had deeply invested herself, as well as her worth, within the
value of those items that she lost and was slowly streaming away from her spiritual connection to
God. Towards the end of the poem you can see a slow revelation that develops, which she acquires as
a consequence of her loss, and ultimately

Human Nature And Culture Being Responsible For Warfare
There is little interpretation necessary when two groups of men are painted shooting arrows at one
another or when skeletal remains are recovered inflicted by human weapons that predate to when
hunters gatherers once lived. This goes against the philosopher, Jean Jacques Rousseau s theory of
warfare, which opposes human nature and culture being responsible for warfare, but as being a result
of civilization. Evidence says otherwise. Warfare came before civilization had begun, but differently
from the war we know today. The way of life was completely different, resulting in the way humans
fought to also differ; from tactics and weapons to the reasons why they even fought to begin with.
Evidence such as our closest living relatives, the chimpanzees, which contains a difference of two
percent from our DNA (Dyer, 2005). Chimpanzees share a lot of similar characteristic, which Jane
Goodall has discovered though out her 40 years of research. I will also explore different pre
civilization tribes that also display recognizable war like behaviour, and the different findings to
support that. Lastly, that brings us to the physical evidence that archaeologists have recovered over the
years, such as human remains bearing weapons traumas suggesting death from these injuries were
inflicted by human weapons such as, fractured bones, spear wounds, and stone blade lodged between
the ribs. But first, I will begin with how hunter gatherers once lived to help you better understand the

Digital Intellectual Property Is The Creative,...
Digital intellectual property is the creative, intelligence, and artistic work produced by the creator
whose value comes from the ideas, research, skills, and labor he/she put in. Intellectual properties are
protected by the copyrights and patent law. Writing code and designing systems can be considered as
intellectual property, and they are protected by the copyrights and patent law. However, in the
computer software industry, there are some cases where the line between something original or simply
copyright infringement is blurred out and the case between Oracle and Google for using JAVAAPIs
interface in Android is a good example. Google copied code from JAVA, used in their Android mobile
platform, and Oracle own JAVA, sued Google for copyrights infringement.
Google s Android is the most popular mobile platform in the world with more than eighty percent
market share, and it is based on JAVA which was developed by Sun Microsystems and currently own
by Oracle. JAVA is an open source language and open to the public to use for free. However, open
source code does not allow modifying the code without licensing or publishing back the modified
code in the open community. In 2007, when Google first released Android SDK beta, they have used
some of the JAVA higher level interfaces that require licensing. Google knew that from the very
beginning, modification of JAVA code and including them in the Android SDK is violating copyrights
law yet they went on using the modified JAVA

Henry Clay, John C. Calhoun, And Daniel Webster And Their...
Perhaps the three most influential men in the pre Civil War era were Henry Clay, John C. Calhoun,
and Daniel Webster. These men all died nearly a decade before the civil war began, but they didn t
know how much they would effect it. States rights was a very controversial issue, and one which had
strong opposition and radical proposals coming from both sides. John C. Calhoun was in favor of
giving states the power to nullify laws that they saw unconstitutional, and he presented this theory in
his Doctrine of Nullification . Daniel Webster strongly disagreed with this proposal and showed this
by giving powerful support to President Jackson in resisting the attempt by South Carolina to nullify
the tariff of abominations , as they called ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The secession of South Carolina from the Union was the most extreme way that the South argued for
states rights. John C. Calhoun was, perhaps, best remembered for his part in inspiring the South s
effort to achieve national independence in the Civil War, even though it took place nearly twelve years
after his death.
Daniel Webster was one of the best orators in the United States during his time and, perhaps, ever.
While arguing that the Constitution had created a single, unified nation he put up strong opposition to
nullification. When Webster spoke on the senate floor, he left everyone in awe. He was a magnificent
lawyer and a convincing speaker. Daniel Webster was probably best remembered for his role in the
short story The Devil and Daniel Webster .
Henry Clay was, perhaps, the greatest compromiser of all time, authoring such documents as the
Missouri Compromise, the Compromise of 1850, and the 1833 compromise bill that gradually lowered
the tariff which the South had been so angry about. His view on states rights was that they should
work with the federal government to come to come to a compromise on the issue. Henry Clay was
best remembered for his support of the Compromise of 1850.
These three men were very different in a time of more partisanship and anger that today. I believe that

Justice Gray Film Analysis
In the movie, Justice Gray remains very quiet, only speaking when necessary compared to reading the
transcripts from the court. He asked questions of clarification but also seems to have a harsher tone
with Irving when he tries to expand his questioning on a matter that has already been debated in much
length. In the movie, it isn t until he gives his judgment that he plays a vital role, which is to be
expected for a judge making a ruling on a matter as important as this one. It was clear throughout the
trial, both in real life and during the movie that the defense was not trying to put the Holocaust on
trial, but about putting Irving himself on trial. Irving countless times tried to use his evidence to prove

Retinal Degeneration
New stem cell treatment has the potential to restore vision once lost. Researchers have developed a
new treatment that prevents irreversible vision loss brought on by end stage retinal disease. The new
technique involves the use of stem cells that are grown in a lab. During trails, scientist s were able to
grow new retina tissue and then transplant the tissue into the mice who had end stage retinal
degeneration. During the study skin cells are taken from an adult mouse and converted with induced

More than forty percent of the mice tested gained the ability to see light clearly. This was a new
medical advancement for the science community as no one has ever before been successful in
transplanting stem cells that have the ability to sense light. Retinal degeneration is extremely complex
to treat until now. Cells need to have the ability to make connections with the host s nervous system
and send signals to the brain. Regardless, many unsolved answers exist. Researchers are still trying to
find a way to increase the number of connections between a degenerated retina and the transplant.
This would allow the hosts to not only see light but large scale figures and movement. This is
extremely important as retinal degeneration that affects approximately around 170 million people
worldwide can led to total blindness. Nevertheless, this advancement comes with many unanswered
questions. Researchers are concerned whether this treatment could actually be applied to humans as
many risk factors exist. The experiments do not provide information on recovery time in humans nor
how the transplanted retinas would respond to the same procedure. Moreover, Scientists contend
whether human eyes have different environments from mice. The only way researchers could test
human retinal transplants would be from human conducted trails which remain a controversial

Battle Of Trenton And The American Revolutionary War
Abstract
Battle of Trenton was analyzed to ascertain what Military Intelligence assets could have been used to
provide a different outcome to the battle for the British forces. The Battle of Trenton is widely
considered to be the turning point of the American Revolutionary War. If the British Commander had
used his intelligence assets appropriately, it could have led to a different outcome to the battle. A
different outcome would have changed the course of the war and possibly led to a British victory.

Different Morals, Attitudes, and Goals with Changing...
As generations come and go, I ve noticed that each generation has grown up with different morals,
attitudes, and goals for their life. Which puts a gap on all these generations, each generation is very
distinct in their own ways. With each new generation being shaped and molded by the previous one,
by offering more and more to help them. Now when you look at my generation now and the new one
slowly coming up as well, you can see that we have been turned into a selfish, lazy, and even rude
generation. If you look back on our older generations, they were never handed anything. Everything
they wanted they had to work hard for an even struggle doing it. In this day and age it seems all
anyone looks for is hand outs, no one wants to work hard for anything and achieve it. Everyone looks
for the shortcuts through life, when there are none. Another reason why things are so much easier for
this generation is the new technology we have available. With all the new technology and so much
help from our previous generations, it has gave this generation a different attitude and not so much in
a good way. This generation s attitude has been infected with laziness, selfishness, and greed. It seems
that most people in my generation today is very and only self focused. They are all worried about how
much money they can make and care about only what they want, and how quick they can obtain it. I

When Louis failed, his attention turned toward Babette. He twice gave Babette advice on how to
maintain the plantation. First he told her that she was the only one of her family that was smart and
wise enough to run the plantation. Then, when the plantation started to struggle because everyone
doubted her ability to run the plantation, he told her to host a ball to show everyone her capabilities.
His attempts to help her were done because he still had feelings for her and wanted to see her succeed.
In the case of Claudia, Louis felt for her the any man would feel for their daughter. He felt that it was
his fault she became a vampire, so he needed to protect her, especially from Lestat. Louis would have
her sleep in his coffin with him. He ensured that she learned to read and write. He also made sure that
she had everything she needed. Louis always had time to answer Claudia s questions and worried
about how she felt.
Louis sense of humanity is present throughout the story. His choice to refrain from killing human and
the care he shows for Babette and Claudia are just a few examples. It separates him from the rest of
the vampires. Many of the others find it as a weakness, however a few commend him for

Although, the harm created that is usually harmful to people, can very likely be harmful to the

Liability for one s actions means that one can rightly be made to pay for the adverse effects of one s

example, consider selling a product that has defective problems. You did not intentionally make it

Corporate liability is different because it is formed to limit the liability of shareholders. It determines
the extent to how much they are liable for, unlike strict liability. The corporation can be punished or

Research Paper On Mad Cow Disease
Mad cow disease is a deadly disease caused by prions in the brains of cattle. The real name of this
disease is bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE). Abnormal prions are usually found in the brain
tissue of many diseased cattle and they transmit the infection. Many changes are seen in the brain of
infected cattle. Infection can lead to small holes in parts of the brain, giving the tissue a sponge like
appearance when viewed with a microscope. These small holes cause slow decline in a cow s brain
and eventually other symptoms develop affecting the whole body. The cows then die.

Thomas Jefferson Servant Leadership Examples

Servant leadership theory s emphasis on service to others and recognition that the role of organizations
is to create people who can build a better tomorrow resonates with scholars and practitioners who are
responding to the growing perceptions that corporate leaders have become selfish and who are seeking
a viable leadership theory to help resolve the challenges of the twenty first century (Parris Peachey,

servant leaders have been taken advantage of, due to their overwhelming desire to help that they don t
see that the employee is playing them and using their kindness as a way to get out of doing the
necessary tasks. My mentor, who is a servant leader herself, often gets yelled at by Sr. Leadership for
appearing to be unfocused, when in fact she is not, she is just trying to make sure that everyone gets
the information/assistance they need to the fullest extent. I have found that it is advantageous, if the
servant leader takes extra effort to be clear, concise, and consistent in their communications to avoid
appearing distracted by other servant leadership goals/priorities.
There are many advantages to practicing servant leadership to be experienced by all stakeholders. A
balance is required of either incorporating other styles when the situation calls for them or there
should be a good mixture of leadership styles among the leaders within the organization. This blend of
leadership styles allows for all levels of employees to feel they play an important role in the success of
the organization while continually

Riordan Manufacturing Executive Summary
Riordan Manufacturing Executive Summary

March 24, 2005
Executive Summary:
As a Fortune 1000 enterprise, and an industry leader in the field of plastic injection molding, Riordan
Manufacturing, offers state of the art plastics design capabilities through its facilities in San Jose,
California; Albany, Georgia; Pontiac, Michigan; and Hang Zhou, China. Currently, Riordan s COO,
Hugh McCauley, and the executive team have requested changes to the current information system
used to maintain inventory and manufacturing processes. Evaluation of current Sales, Inventory, and
Manufacturing processes will be required as well as the evaluation of ... Show more content on

The current process takes too many hours to complete the required tasks, so the new updated system
must be fast and efficient. All of Riordan Enterprise s locations will move to the new accounting and
inventory system; therefore, it must also comply with the existing technology. Companies are
recognizing that not only is the aftermarket profitable, but it also can drive significant competitive
advantage as a customer service differentiator (Kevin O Brian 2005)
An initial evaluation of accounting and inventory systems for all the Riordan Enterprise locations is
required. We need to know what software is currently in use and how effective it is. If our evaluation
determines that, the existing software is not performing all of the needed requirements it will be
necessary to upgrade them as well. Next, we will need to evaluate their existing hardware to determine
its integrity. If the hardware is also outdated, another evaluation will be necessary to determine what
will replace it. If the evaluation of the hardware determines that the existing equipment is adequate,
then we can proceed with the software upgrade. The request specifically asks for a complete system
that is faster and interrelated into all of the locations. After the evaluations are complete a list of
additional hardware will be generated and a timeline of what to be installed / upgraded where.
The timeline will be a critical part

Evidence Processing Firearms Evidence
Processing all different types of firearms is as important as lifting a fingerprint or packaging DNA as
evidence. It must be done in a cautious, safe manner so that fingerprints are not ruined, safety of the
investigator is insured. While using the proper techniques to processing firearms for evidence a case
can be brought to closure quicker, another criminal can be removed from the streets. The investigators
must realize the importance of the firearm being processed in order to find clues that lead to a suspect,
therefore collecting evidence should be error free for an example such as not having the correct bullet
casing at a shooting, can be in favor of the suspect.
Processing Firearms Evidence There are many steps ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The first step before handling any firearm is to take photographs for evidence! Next is to put on
protective gloves, ask an experienced officer or detective to handle, unload the firearm; if you don t
have the experience to do so. It would be a good idea to learn how to handle all types of firearms so
that investigations can be carried out faster due to a more experienced technician, fingerprints will not
be damaged. For all types of firearms they need to be unloaded before continuing the investigation.
The semiautomatic pistol has a magazine which holds the cartridge. This gun can be shot
automatically without having to load each bullet. This gun (all guns) need to be grabbed only by the
handle where the grooves are because here fingerprints cannot be damaged due to the rough surface.
Touching anywhere else on the gun can damage fingerprints, or other evidence that s why it is
important to avoid smooth surfaces on any firearm, NOTHING should ever be placed in the gun
barrel; this can damage any grooves in the barrel to match bullets for

A Brief Note On Consumer Electronics Bus ( Cebus )
2.3 ii) CeBus technology
Consumer Electronics Bus (CEBus), a standard proposed by the Electronic Industries Association, is
based on the concept of Local Area Networks (LAN s). CEBus based products consist mainly of a
transceiverwhich implements spread spectrum technology along with a controller to run the protocol.
The given protocol standards are for radio frequency, twisted pair, power line communication and a
number of other networking methods. The CEBus PLDT standard specifies that a binary digit is
represented by how long a frequency burst is applied to the channel i.e, a binary 1 is represented by a
100 microsecond burst, whilst a binary 0 is represented by a 200 microsecond burst. CEBus
transmission rate varies with how many 0 characters, and how many 1 characters are transmitted. The
CEBus standard specifies a language of object oriented controls including commands for volume
up/down, temperature up one degree, etc. Due to the high noise level of power line channels, data
should be transmitted via short frames, which is assured by the use of the spread spectrum technology.
CEBus protocol uses a Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Detection and Resolution
(CSMA/CDCR) protocol to avoid data collisions. CEBus is a commercially owned protocol, and thus
attracts registration fees.
2.3 iii) LonWorks technology
This technology was developed by Echelon Corporation. It is essentially structured as an automatic
control system that consists of sensors,

  • 2. Donald Trump Informative Essay Most people in this country know that Donald Trump has a problem with telling the truth. He is not honest nor is he trustworthy and he definitely is not shy about making things up, even when they can easily be proven false. In fact, that is what he has done just last week. According to Trump, he received two awesome phone calls in the last week. The first one came from the Boy Scouts, telling him what a great job he did at that speech, and how much everybody loved it, that it was just one of the greatest things they have ever seen in their life. The second phone call he claims he got was from the President of Mexico, congratulating him on what a wonderful job he is doing on border security here in the United States. They just love it down there. Donald Trump s just the greatest guy that ever lived and everything is just great... Yeah right. Get this, neither of those phone calls actually ever happened. He wants to think that people are congratulating him and think he s doing a great job. He wants to think that people like what he s doing, because that s what his little bubble is all about. But once he steps outside that bubble, he understands that the Boy Scout leader had to apologize to the public for how disgusting Donald Trump s speech was. And the President of Mexico could care less about what Donald Trump is doing, he even goes out his way to assure everybody knows that he s not paying for the stupid wall that Trump still wants to ... Privateering and its Impact on the American Revolution Privateering and Its Impact on the American Revolution Emma Utesch History 201 122 September 18, 2012 In the 1700s, a privateer was someone who was mandated by the government to attack ships from abroad during war time. 1During the Revolutionary War, privateer ships would receive Letters of Marque, a decree that authorized ships to act on behalf of the nations from which they were issued for the purpose of retaliating against another nation for some wrong such as border incursion. There are also several people that joined the privateer movement that were younger and wouldn t have been let in the Navy. An example of is James Forten, an African American who joined the crew on the privateering ship the Royal Lewis when he was fourteen as a powder boy.5 He was given this opportunity because the privateers did not have as many restrictions on clientele as the Navy did; it is highly probable that James Forten would not have been able to join the Continental Navy because of his age and his race. Forten invented a new type of sail that was better for maneuvering and for maintaining higher speeds for a longer stretch of time. Even though he did not patent his product, it became the most widely used and prosperous sail in Philadelphia. James Forten s innovations involving sails have influenced sailing technologies even to this day. The fortune he made by doing this was substantial for any man, black or white. After his privateering days, he devoted more than half of his fortune to abolitionist causes. He frequently purchases slaves freedom, opened his home as an Underground Railroad Depot, and started a school for black children. After Wolsey s downfall, Thomas Cromwell became Henry s chief minister and earned the confidence of the King by helping him to break off with Rome and establish Henry the VIII as head of the Church of England. (BBC, 2016) This profession also brought him in a lot of wealth through the dissolution of well funded monasteries. Over four years Cromwell ordered that 800 monasteries be disbanded and their lands and treasures taken for the crown (BBC, 2016). • 6. How Media Has Impacted Growing Up With A Measuring Body Image In this advertisement it shows a little girl measuring herself with a measuring tape. By looking at this image, it already outlines that we as society relay on having the perfect ideal women body, which is being thin and skinny. Society also implies that valuing body image and perfection is significant that children at a very young age are already influenced negatively growing up with a corrupted mindset. The little girl in the photo is already measuring her waistline with a measuring tape at such a young age. She is already feeling like she must be skinny to fit into society and is conscious of her size, teaching her that she must look a certain way. The issue is that in society the media has advertisements, commercials and magazines that portray standards such as women being thin, tall and skinny. This according to the Western countries is having the perfect body image. The media shows such unrealistic images to consumers such as these young girls to try to appear like these ideals that are set for them from society that potentially be harmful and unhealthy which could lead to death because of starvation leading to possible long term health disorders such as anorexia, bulimia nervosa and nervosa. My opinion on this issue is those who are suffering with low self esteem shouldn t do such horrific acts like starvation or dieting just to be accepted in society because they feel too fat or they do not meet the societal standard of being perfect. The main characters in Crimson Tide are Captain Ramsay, played by Gene Hackman; and Lieutenant Commander Hunter, played by Denzel Washington, Ramsay s executive officer. The main characters in A Soldier s Story are Captain Davenport, played by Howard Rollins; and Sergeant Waters, played by Adolph Caesar. Ironically, in this movie a young Denzel Washington played a prominent role as Private First Class Peterson. This was before he became a household name. Arguably, this movie catapulted him into superstardom. This paper will compare and contrast the leadership styles of Captain Ramsay and Sergeant Watters. The scene in Crimson Tide was aboard a nuclear submarine called the USS Alabama. Facing threat of a nuclear attack from a Russian submarine, Ramsay and Hunter found themselves locked in a power struggle because Hunter refused Ramsay s orders to launch a preemptive nuclear strike pending confirmation of an aborted emergency action message (EAM). Hunter s insubordination led to a mutiny and a series of armed standoffs aboard the submarine between those loyal to Hunter and those loyal to Ramsay. Focusing on the character Thomas, the film portrays him like he would be the stereotypical Indian sitting around the campfire telling stories. I think the film did a good job trying to show that, as he is often telling stories and he is even guided by his dreams making him seem like a spiritual person. This is possible because the author includes well detailed descriptions of the character s thoughts that allow them to understand his personality and acts. This plant parasite eats on the leaf of a plant. This prevents photosynthesis causing the low productivity of the plant. Cosico (2014) stated that, At least 60 percent of the total coconut farming areas in the country, most of which are in the CALABARZON area, are infected with cocolisap and it has crossed over to Basilan in Mindanao Region. Due to this, the government released chemical called neonicotinoids to obviate these cocolisap. The Ancient Egyptian Revolution And The Religious Services For nothing irrational or fabulous or prompted by superstition, as some believe, was embodied in the religious services, but ideas which either had moral and necessary causes or were not devoid of historical or physical plausibility (De Iside et Osiride. Plutarch. 8.353e). The Ancient Egyptians craving for Ma at over Isfet is most prevalent in this perception, with that being said the irrational as well as the fabulous have no reason to exist in the Egyptians, or any, ordered world, thus allowing the creation of the essentiality of sensible reasons for events of calamity, such as those of plague and disease; the calendars of lucky and unlucky days being a primary example of the contradictory effort. It could be thought that the calendars of lucky and unlucky days are just indicators of pure superstition, but the Ancient Egyptians did not see it that way, therefore this thought cannot work in this example. Henceforth, it may be that the Egyptians saw the epagomenal days as outstandingly wicked since their prominence was that of being called the five days in addition to the year , disrupting the order the calendar had of being twelve thirty day months. For the duration of the epagomenal days, the Ancient Egyptians assumed that time, neheh, remained stagnant and fearing that djet, best described by J. Assmann as being the unchanging continuation of that which is completed , might persist evermore, thus forever upsetting Ma at, unless particular rituals were performed. ... • 17. How Does Globalization Affect The Economy Of Sydney As a result of this economic drive, an influence was evident on the spatial economic makeup of Sydney. The unemployment map of the city was distributed into two opposing fragments, illustrative of contemporaneous social geography. The highest rates of unemployment were marked in the western and south western suburbs, while the lowest rates occupied the northern suburbs. In place of this, the service sector, specifically finance, business, retail, community service, professional, and wholesale, sprouted. However, this was not sufficient to counterbalance the unemployment rates. In 1996, the services industry comprised a large 40% of employment, a step up from just 24% in 1971 (Fagan Webber 1999), of which was concentrating in the inner city and neighbouring regions (Forster 2006). Analysis Of The House Of Mirth By Lara Saltz Selden, in The House of Mirth, is a character that is part of the Elite class, but that doesn t allow the constraints of the elites shadow his vision. In her essay, Lara Saltz argues Selden is able to see real, poetic Lily because he possesses both an acute eye for what is materially in front of him (Saltz 1). She continues on with this thesis, arguing that Selden posses a balance between realism and imagination, that allows him to see the real Lily, during her performance of Sir Joshua Reynold s pain, Mrs Lloyd. Evidence in the novel showing that Selden can see past the illusions of high life, can be seen in Lily realizing that Selden is detached from the social world, the discussion of love between Lily and Selden and Lily s final confrontation of Selden and subsequent death. These three pieces of evidence support Saltz s assertion that Selden can see things for what they really are due to his ability to balance realism and imagination. The first, being Lily s observation that Selden is detached from the social class. The party, being thrown by Mrs. Trenor, is the stage in which Lily discovers that Selden is detached from social class. A Review, however, is less in scope so it provides a moderate level of assurance on the financial statements. • 21. Lysistrat A Political Satire Written By Aristophanes Lysistrata was a political satire written by Aristophanes in early 400 B.C.E., and was performed in Athens. The connection between Lysistrata and the society and culture surrounding it is deeply significant. Due to the immense cultural pressure in this period, it s difficult to pinpoint a singular theme that Aristophanes was trying to make a comment on. With the Peloponnesian War continuing to lead a seemingly endless reign of chaos over Greece and its citizens, these elements of fear and despair became very relevant in the plays of the time, most notably being Aristophanes Lysistrata. Within such satires, it became commonplace to see women being used as satirical devices to call attention to the craziness that had consumed society. It also contributed to the idea of women having a social or political power and, more importantly, having worth and a voice. Although it is impossible to know exactly which social aspects Aristophanes was trying to comment on, through historical documents and contexts, it is clear that statements were made condemning war through the satirical use of subverting gender norms to reinforce the foolishness in society and fighting. The fighting and devastation that influenced Aristophanes was the result of the Peloponnesian War. The war had been reigning terror and sorrow from about 431 to 404 B.C.E. across the Greek nation ( The Peloponnesian War ). Human Nature And Culture Being Responsible For Warfare There is little interpretation necessary when two groups of men are painted shooting arrows at one another or when skeletal remains are recovered inflicted by human weapons that predate to when hunters gatherers once lived. This goes against the philosopher, Jean Jacques Rousseau s theory of warfare, which opposes human nature and culture being responsible for warfare, but as being a result of civilization. Evidence says otherwise. Warfare came before civilization had begun, but differently from the war we know today. The way of life was completely different, resulting in the way humans fought to also differ; from tactics and weapons to the reasons why they even fought to begin with. • 36. Different Morals, Attitudes, and Goals with Changing... As generations come and go, I ve noticed that each generation has grown up with different morals, attitudes, and goals for their life. Which puts a gap on all these generations, each generation is very distinct in their own ways. With each new generation being shaped and molded by the previous one, by offering more and more to help them. Now when you look at my generation now and the new one slowly coming up as well, you can see that we have been turned into a selfish, lazy, and even rude generation. If you look back on our older generations, they were never handed anything. Everything they wanted they had to work hard for an even struggle doing it. In this day and age it seems all anyone looks for is hand outs, no one wants to work hard for anything and achieve it. Everyone looks for the shortcuts through life, when there are none. Another reason why things are so much easier for this generation is the new technology we have available. With all the new technology and so much help from our previous generations, it has gave this generation a different attitude and not so much in a good way. This generation s attitude has been infected with laziness, selfishness, and greed. It seems that most people in my generation today is very and only self focused. They are all worried about how much money they can make and care about only what they want, and how quick they can obtain it. Abnormal prions are usually found in the brain tissue of many diseased cattle and they transmit the infection. Many changes are seen in the brain of infected cattle. Infection can lead to small holes in parts of the brain, giving the tissue a sponge like appearance when viewed with a microscope. These small holes cause slow decline in a cow s brain and eventually other symptoms develop affecting the whole body. The cows then die. A Brief Note On Consumer Electronics Bus ( Cebus ) 2.3 ii) CeBus technology Consumer Electronics Bus (CEBus), a standard proposed by the Electronic Industries Association, is based on the concept of Local Area Networks (LAN s). CEBus based products consist mainly of a transceiverwhich implements spread spectrum technology along with a controller to run the protocol. The given protocol standards are for radio frequency, twisted pair, power line communication and a number of other networking methods. The CEBus PLDT standard specifies that a binary digit is represented by how long a frequency burst is applied to the channel i.e, a binary 1 is represented by a 100 microsecond burst, whilst a binary 0 is represented by a 200 microsecond burst. CEBus transmission rate varies with how many 0 characters, and how many 1 characters are transmitted. The CEBus standard specifies a language of object oriented controls including commands for volume up/down, temperature up one degree, etc. Due to the high noise level of power line channels, data should be transmitted via short frames, which is assured by the use of the spread spectrum technology. CEBus protocol uses a Carrier Sense Multiple Access/Collision Detection and Resolution (CSMA/CDCR) protocol to avoid data collisions. CEBus is a commercially owned protocol, and thus attracts registration fees. 2.3 iii) LonWorks technology This technology was developed by Echelon Corporation.
