Buddhism In The Tang Dynasty
Buddhism is originated from India, however it seems that China has become the center of Buddhism
with the rise of Tang, and the Chinese Buddhism have a profound influence on the development of
Buddhism in East Asia. Although Buddhism was introduced to the Chinese people early in the Han
Dynasty in the first century B.C., a couple of historical events in Tang Dynasty truly mark the
prosperousness of Buddhism in China. During the early Tang dynasty, along with many other
pilgrims, the monk Xuanzang traveled to India and returned to Chang an (Place 1) with a large
collection of Buddhist texts, relics, and statues. With the support of Emperor Taizong of Tang,
Xuanzang set up a large translation bureau in Chang an, attracting students from

Franz Chopin Research Paper
Frédéric François Chopin (1 March 1810 17 October 1849) was a genius Polish composer and a
virtuoso pianist during the Romantic period of piano mainly creating solo piano compositions. Chopin
is a worldwide known piano composer who led his era and is nationally known whose poetic genius
was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation. (qtd. The Romantic
Generation p. 284) Throughout his career, Chopin was able to change the perceived viewpoint of
musical articulation and composition. His music contains many mysteries and wonders that involve a
singing legato, creating the sound of unbroken sound from the piano, like a human voice. Chopin s
childhood and education was revolved around the topic of music. He ... Show more content on

Musical improvisation is the creative activity of immediate musical composition, which combines
performance with communication of emotions and instrumental technique as well as spontaneous
response to other musicians. (qtd. From Wikipedia). Chopin used many of his techniques of
improvisations to meet the audience s expectations as well as maintaining the conventions of musical
form. After making his early combined works for piano and orchestra, he didn t compose any
orchestral musics for a while until of his late works of sonatas of the piano and cello. Chopin s
individuality was the advantage of his flexibility of his handling of four bar phrases as a structural
unit. Many of the works of Chopin was intended for concert performances. Chopin created many
different compositions varying in style and technique including: mazurkas, waltzes, polonaises,
nocturnes, and études. Chopin s mazurkas and waltzes were all in straightforward ternary or episodic
form. Chopin s polonaises showed the development and advancement of his Polish predecessors. And
his 21 nocturnes were posing of great emotional depth despite the fact the structure was so important
in these types of pieces. And finally, Chopin s études were the basic teachings of his own technique of
piano playing. Many of these innovations were sounding as mysterious and beautiful as they were
from Chopin s improvisation

The Roles Of Language And Harish Trivedi s Communication...
Communication through language performs a pivotal role in a human life as it sustains it and therefore
essential. Of course, various means of communication like gestures and others can never replace the
use of a language in a human life. A human being is a God s creation, but a language is a human
creation. The same information in one language can be communicated differently through different
languages depending on culture, region, religion, politics and above all the society of the speaker of a
particular language. The interaction between two persons of two diverse nations would be completely
impossible due to the absence of knowledge of the other s language with each other. Thus, the same
situation extends itself to even at the level of a ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Partly because of the oral traditions and partly due to the destructions of innumerable texts because of
weather conditions, several problems arise when the earlier history of translation is attempted. The
history of translation in India has, according to Ritā Kothāri, three stages: oral, written and printed
with no mechanism for tracing the oral tradition of translation . Further, she adds that The written
tradition. . . is rooted in medieval India, around the fourteenth and fifteen centuries, when excerpts
from the Sanskrit scriptures began to travel into the regional languages (Kothāri 2003: 6 7). However,
it is believed that, as Krishnamurthy notes, the first requirement for inter language communication in
the subcontinent probably arose through trade (Krishnamurthy 1998: 464). Kautilya, known as
Chānakya (c. 370 283 BC), a minister to Chandragupta Maurya (c. 340 298 BC), in the 4th century
BC wrote a treatise on statecraft indicating the status that the translator might have had during this
period without the use of a word translator but scribes (Ibid: 465). Thus, this activity of translation as
a discourse offers India more opportunities due to its multilingual status, whereas the possibility of
translation in the West is less due to its monolingual status. Thus, it is noticeable that multilingualism
offers benefits to the practice of translation simultaneously

Thomas Paine And His Father
Philosopher Thomas Paine Thomas Paine was born in Norfolk, England on January 29, 1737 to a
middle income family. His father was a Quaker while his mother was an Anglican, therefore, constant
family arguments about religion became part of Thomas life (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy 2).
He did not have much of formal education as he quit schooling at the age of thirteen years and began
working for his father. He was baptized in the Anglican Church that his mother attended. His father
had forbidden him from learning the Latin language while he was in school though he wanted to learn
it. His father specialized in craft staymaking and this was the skill that Thomas learned while working
for his father (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy 2). Thomas had tried running away from home
twice, failing in his first escape, but was successful in the second. He escaped to London and then
went to Margate where he continued to work as a craft staymaker. He also preached in a church called
Methodist persuasion. It was during this time that he married Mary Lambert who died during
childbirth (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy 2). Several incidents had a significant impact on the
life of Thomas such as working as an officer in an excise service, teaching in a school in London, as
well as being appointed a member of the debating society at the Headstrong Club. Thomas later
married Elizabeth Ollive in the year 1771. Thomas died on 8th June 1809 in Greenwich Village in

Derivates in Market Essay
INTRODUCTION
amp;#8220;A derivative is like a razor, you can use it to shave and make yourself attractive for your
girlfriend, you can slit your throat with it or you can use it to commit suicide. amp;#8217;(Anon.) This
statement describes to us the problems, and on the other hand rewards, that the proper use of
derivatives can bring. The derivatives market has developed responding to the uncertainty about
prices, and therefore provided a means of separating out this price volatility. The tendency of the
market to move up or down in what appears to be a random manner has brought about the need for
financial products which will protect or hedge the investor against the ill effects of market volatility.

Holder of a futures contract is locked in an effective selling price therefore if he sells the contract
against their position and then sees the market go up rather than down, he cannot take advantage of
that upswing.
If an investor wishes to take advantage of favourable yields but is aware this may increase interest rate
exposure, the financial futures markets will provide an opportunity to hedge against possible loss.
Gearing effect of the margining system means investors can quickly loose 100% of their investment,
which wouldn amp;#8217;t be likely if they invested directly in bonds and shares.
Holder of the contract can enter an offsetting contract with the same delivery month as the original
contract and by this close out their position.
Purchaser is forced to go through with the futures contract even if this is detrimental to them as
mentioned earlier potential loss is unlimited.
Futures contracts can provide great gains or losses (symmetric risk )
Clearing House system guarantees that all contracts will be fulfilled.
Risk of default is very low and the absence of some risk along with the presence of low transaction
costs, ensures that the secondary market is highly liquid (i.e. A contract can be opened in one countries
exchange and closed in another such is the high quality of the futures market.)
Offers a cash efficient means of taking position in a market as futures are traded on margin. This

Reflection Of Personal Branding
After speaking with Christina on the phone, I learned how she experienced the summer Management
program during her undergrad as an English major at WFU. She was an English major and did not
know specifically what she wanted to do immediately after graduation. After applying to a couple
jobs, she received feedback from a stranger who happened to be a fellow WFU alum. This individual
did not think Christina would get a job at her company, but offered to spread her resume around.
Christina was extremely grateful for the kindness the other lady gave her, and she eventually landed a
role as part of a production company for her first job. Christina learned of her current employer,
Compass Professional Health Services, through a roommate who was a former employee of the
company. She encouraged Christina to apply for the open positions, which she later did via
Handshake. Hearing about her experience during the application and interview cycle(s) were great for
me to see how the job market functions for this particular company. One of the things that caught my
attention after Christina was offered and accepted a position at Compass was the training time prior to
officially starting. The amount of preparation before, and then observing and learning from others at
work was a great example for me to listen and visualize while thinking of the points discussed in
Personal Branding. A point during our practice reviewing resumes was that companies are particular
with new hires, because

Malaria Research Paper
Malaria is a serious disease caused by a parasite. Infected mosquitoes spread it. Malaria is very
common throughout the world. In the United States, the main risk is to persons traveling to tropical
and subtropical countries where malaria is a problem. There are four different types of malaria caused
by four related parasites. The most deadly type occurs in Africa south of the Sahara Desert. The
symptoms characteristic of malaria include fever, chills, muscle aches, and headache. Cycles of chills,
fever, and sweating that recur every 1, 2 or 3 days are typical. There can sometimes be vomiting,
diarrhoea, coughing and yellowing (jaundice) of the skin and whites of the eyes. The treatment for
malaria depends upon the geographic area where a person has been infected with the disease. Different
areas of the world have malaria types that are resistant to certain medications.
Malaria is a disease which can be transmitted to people of all ages. It is caused by parasites of the
species Plasmodium that are spread from person to person through the bites of infected mosquitoes.
Malaria is a parasitic disease that involves infection of the red blood cells. Of the four types of
malaria, the most serious type is falciparum malaria, which can be life threatening. The other three
types of malaria (vivax, malariae, and ovale) are generally less serious and are not life threatening.

Analysis Of The Poem The Riveter
Rosie the Riveter is a symbolic figure and has helped shape America into what it is today. The bright
yellow back round, with bold words standing out in the navy speech bubble, We can do it . The focus
of the poster is much more than the words written. This poster is of the women of the modern world
Rosie. She is wearing a jean shirt with rolled sleeve as she flexes her arm to show her strength. She
has a red bandana around her head holding up her hair. She gives a twist to what the traditional
women looked like during the 1940 s. She was there to give women a sense of empowerment and
motivation to go to work. The poster Rosie the Riveter was created for the Saturday Evening Post
May 29, 1943 for the Memorial Day issue. The artist J. Howard Miller created one of the most iconic
posters of all time. The Rosie the Riveter poster was made as propaganda to encourage women to join
the workforce, as the men fought in World War 2. The meaning behind the poster Rosie the Riveter
has stayed the same throughout time, giving women a sense of entitlement. It intentionally made
women motivated to do their part and to support the war and join the workforce. The poster did
wonders as women headed to the factories. They were needed, so women put their work boots on and
went to work, as the men went off to war. Rosie the Riveter was the face if a new generation of
women by giving them the chance to be independent. This helped create mass social change. As men
headed back to work they were

Memory Is a Constructive and Dynamic System Rather Than a...
Exploring Psychology
Memory is a constructive and dynamic system rather than a passive mechanism for recording external
information. Evaluate this claim, making reference to research findings.
The concept that the memory is a constructive and dynamic system was originally introduced by Sir
Frederic Bartlett, in the 1920 s. According to Bartlett, social factors influence one s ability to
remember, and in turn, can either change a person s perception of a specific memory or distort the
original memory. As opposed to the memory being a passive mechanism which indicates that the brain
can store data and facts which can later be recalled without distortion and remain as they were when
they were first encoded.
Bartlett suggests ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Cognitive interview skills have been invented to combat such a constructive and dynamic system
which our memory is built on. These theories are called context reinstatement , which is a technique
used that puts a person s thoughts back to their physical surroundings so that these senses can
stimulate certain memories. Recalling everything , is a technique that encourages a person to
remember every detail of an event, whether they believe it to be relevant or not which, in turn, can
lead to the retrieval of important and factual information. Recalling in different temporal orders , uses
the technique of reversal retrieval. This method asks a person to remember the events in reverse order
which puts more emphasis on remembering the facts, as this is not a natural way of thinking it forces
information to be recalled. Finally, the last method is called changing perspective which asks a person
to recall the events from a different perspective other than their own. This encourages them to think in
more detail and again encourages more information to be retrieved (Brace, 2007, p126).
All these exercises have been created to help stimulate the brain into remembering and all work on the
basis that for our memories to be retrieved it is essential that we relate past experiences to specific
events. Without this stimulus our mind would not be able to retrieve memories that have been stored

No One Will Tell Movie Citation
No One Would Tell is a thriller film based off of an abusive relationship. This film is a film from 1996
directed by Noell Nosseck. The film stars Candace Cameron and Fred Savage. The film shows a shy,
16 year old Stacy Collins (Candace Cameron) who s mom happened to have a rude boyfriend. Now,
Stacy has been liking a boy for quite some time named Bobby Tennison (Fred Savage) who is in the
high school varsity wrestling team. After Bobby starts showing some romance and ends up dating
Stacy, they both find out that they both have dads that left them as kids. After some time from the
relationship, Bobby shows more possession towards Stacey and he gets angry every time Stacey is
with one of her friends who happens to be another boy. Now, there are some examples of warning
signs Bobby showed towards Stacey such as nasty looks as she does something Bobby doesn t like.
For instance, when Bobby and Stacey were at the dance, Bobby made angry faces at Stacy when she
was talking to one of her guy friends. As an outcome, ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The acting was really good which resulted in the movie looking more real than fake. The movie also
taught me a very good lesson which is to always stay out of trouble and avoid getting hurt. I also
learned that in some cases, you might need to do things on your own, but sometimes it doesn t hurt to
ask for help. I learned this lesson because I did see Stacy suffering through the pain while she was
taking a shower and it appears to be that she might be too scared to tell anyone about how Bobby is
mistreating her because she might fear that Bobby will hurt her. This movie showed its audience an
example of a real life situation that many teenagers and college students face and it gives us a clearer
image as to how we should handle our abusive relationships just as how Stacy s friends try to do so.
Overall, I congratulate the company this movie is coming from because it s a movie everyone should

Over the course of the semester, we have discussed the complex relationship between biological,
psychological, and social factors in relation to psychological disorders. For this paper, I will be
discussing how psychological and social (psychosocial) interventions can positively affect AIDS and
cancer. Typically, psychological and social factors influence your health in two ways, which include:
affecting the basic biological processes that lead to illness and disease and long standing behavior
patterns may put people at risk to develop certain physical disorders (Durand 277). The first disease
that I will be discussing is AIDS, which is the final stage of HIV. In our book, the authors discuss the

Examples Of Gothic Trope In Australia Directed By Baz Lurhman
Hello and welcome back to FNS. On today s episode, we ll be focusing on the Australian film
industry, and more specifically, how the gothic trope of the Australian outback is manipulated to
present Australian identity. One of the better examples of this manipulation is the movie Australia,
directed by Baz Lurhman. Lurhman has used narrative, aesthetic and cinematic techniques to distort
and manipulate the gothic trope throughout the film.
Gothic is known as the literary, artistic and architectural style which originated in the 12th century
(Wikipedia, 2016). The basic concept of the gothic style consists of fear, horror and strangely
eccentric ideas (Anon. 2016). Similarly, the gothic trope of Australia s outback relates to the harsh,

An example of this is how they re shown as a threat to settlers (Turcotte, G. 1998). However this
colonial perspective of the trope is corrupted when Nullah forms a bond with Lady Ashley. Their
relationship s established after Lady Ashley sings Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz to
Nullah. The tune then becomes the motif which plays when they re together. It can be assumed that as
a British woman, Lady Ashley represents the settlers. Therefore, the closeness her and Nullah share
symbolises how un threatening Aboriginals really are and subverts the tropes colonial perspective. The
pair s bond also challenges another element of the trope; the construction of Aboriginals as figures
haunting the Australian landscape (Turcotte, G. 1998). Not even four minutes into the film, the
audience is given a scene in which Nullah and his grandfather, King George, are wandering the land
and learning to hunt. This establishes the relationship Aboriginal people share with the land; as if the
land is their home and backbone (Korff, J. 2016). Later in the film, Nullah is drawn to go walkabout
with his Grandfather, but held back for a while by Lady Ashley and the Drover. This rejects the gothic
tropes idea that Aboriginal people own or are owned by the land at the expense of white

A Brief Note On Mechanical Engineering And Engineering
When taking a look at the world today, it is concluded that it has now been taken over by engineers.
With new inventions being innovated day by day, the world has been improved magnificently with the
help of engineers. Although there is no way to specifically define someone as a leader, with all of the
new inventions that are created by engineers daily they can definitely be classified as leaders and
creators of todays world. In almost every corner of this earth, there is some sort of engineering
involved. Know as some of the smartest people in the world, they are what improve and make a
difference in our daily activities. Mechanical, civil, electrical, computer, and biomedical engineers are
only a few of the many that have and continue to change the world daily with their inventions.
Mechanical Engineers
Mechanical engineering is one of the types of engineering that can be found almost everywhere. For
example, automobiles, it is nearly impossible to stay away from them as they are found almost
everywhere. Mechanical engineers work on the structure, the designs and re designs of automobiles by
improving their functions to benefit and them suitable for everyone. Another form of inventions that
are fun for or everyone or at least some people are rollercoaster and rides. Rollercoaster are designed
by mechanical engineers, from top to bottom, they make sure that the structure of a certain
rollercoaster or any ride is properly engineered for the safety and entertainment of

Brief Biography of the Poet Shel Silverstein

many characteristic such as being very courageous by going into the army but, also he was a shy man
he didn t want info being leaked out about himself (www.biography.com). Silverstein was an out
thinking kind of man which helped him improve his poems. He was this way because he had a unique
style to his writing by making his poems fun for people by the rhythm he puts into them. The style is
being different in every poem to be able to connect with his audience depending on what the purpose
of the poem is. Although Silverstein wasn t a popular poet at the time, he went to Playboy where he
put his name out there and found his voice (www.poets.org). Silverstein has shown a new way of
writing by not always being the same way of writing every poem but to be different.

Bay Of Fundy
In the Bay of Fundy the incoming tidal waters can overpower the flow of estuaries and rivers. This
extraordinary phenomenon is known as a tidal bore and occurs twice daily. At high tide, a massive
volume of seawater floods out of the Bay of Fundy into the rivers which feed it. The narrowing
riverbanks force the soaring waters in a amazing surge and often a visible standing wave, in some
cases 1 meter (3 feet) tall! In addition, 3 to 3.5 meters (10 12 feet) high rapids are generated in the
wake of the roaring and swirling tidal water as it charges upstream at speeds near 15 kilometers per

The assassination occurred on 28th June, 1914. The Archduke and his wife, Sophie, were travelling in
an open top car to a reception at the city hall. The Black Hand, a group of Serbian nationalists, had
previously attempted at assassinating Ferdinand, but failed. This second attempt was unplanned and a
coincidence. Gavrilo Princip happen to be waiting outside of the store he had just eaten from when he
saw the Archduke. He fired two shots killing each almost instantly. One hit Sophie and the other,
Ferdinand. (Eyewitnesstohistory.com, 2014) The Archduke was a target by Serbia and the Back Hand
because he was seen as the main obstacle in getting independence and running the government. This

My Experience At The Museum Service Of Fifty Visitors
During the course of her fieldwork she studied the discourse (what people say), the practice (what
people do) and the experience. For doing her study discourse she conducted a visitor survey for the
museum service of fifty visitors. In her questionnaire she asked about visitors demographics, the
experiences of museums visiting in general, as well as elicited visitors attitudes. She further combined
her data with already existing secondary data, such as visitor statistics and comment forms that helped
to compare her future data of prevalent attitudes and establish the main informants for future
interviews. From these initial surveys she distinguished various demographics of Croydon inhabitants,
such as class, gender, ethnicity, life style choices and sexuality that she made sure to include in her

households from three main demographic localities of Croydon. Anat Hecht also established lasting
relationships with fifteen staff informants, with librarians, security staff, cleaners, as well as museums

what they say and do helped the researcher to understand and deepen her studied subject. Anat Hecht

of your two samples of aluminum foil, calculate the volume of aluminum in each sample: the regular
vs. the heavy duty. (Note: You will have to use a bit of algebra and the formula D = m/v for this
calculation!) You must show all your work. (15 pts)
Regular Aluminum Foil:
2.699 g/cm3=0.67g/volume
2.699 g/cm3 x 0.67g= volume
Volume= 1.81 cm3
Heavy Duty Aluminum Foil:
2.699 g/cm3=0.97g/volume
2.699g/cm3 x 0.97g=volume
Volume= 2.62 cm3
11. Using the volume(s) you just calculated for regular vs. heavy duty samples as well as your
dimensional measurements (length and width in cm) from Part IV of this experiment, calculate the
height, or thickness, of each sample of aluminum using the formula V = l x w x h. In the formula, V
stands for volume, l for length, w for width, and h for height. Once again, you will have to use your
algebraic skills to manipulate the formula, to solve for height. You must show all your work. (15 pts)

Changes In The 15th Amendment
I feel that the changes made in the 15th Amendment, which gave all citizens the right to vote
regardless of race or color, and the 19th Amendment which gave women the right to vote improved
our government, because after those amendments citizens who previously would not have had a
chance to vote, now could. The opinions of those citizens could now be expressed through their votes
thereby expanding the demographic of the United States democracy.
The natural born Citizen clause in Article 2, Section 1 of the United States Constitution has caused
much controversy and its meaning has been deeply argued. It may be in our best interest if the clause
were to be reworded to make the meaning of the clause clear so there can be no discrepancies, ending

Concepts And Practices Of Sustainability And Green...
1. INTRODUCTION The activation of the application of the concepts and practices of sustainability

expenditures (Spielvogel, P. 517). Since nobles were an important and powerful part of the society,
both Louis and Peter tried to integrate them in the main body of the government hence, preventing
oppositions and maintaining stability in their governments. Louis XIV widened his control over higher
and provincial nobility by creating the court of aristocrats and summoning the nobles to take up
residence in Versailles. This made it easier for him to keep them under his eyes (Spielvogel, P. 509).
Peter on the other hand, created Table of Ranks to force nobles to enter into government service in the

At the beginning of the seventeenth century, Spain possessed the most populous empire in the world,
controlling almost all Africa. To most Europeans, Spain still seemed the greatest power of the age, but
the reality was quite different: the treasury was empty (Spielvogel P 512). A major political
development inspired by growing nationalism was the alliance of small states into two central new
nations: Italy and Germany. Before the second half of the 19th century, Italy was a collection of city
states that were only loosely allied with one another. The German Confederation was created by the
Congress of Vienna in 1815, but it had been controlled by the Austrian and Prussian Empires. In 1848
major rebellions broke out within the confederation, inspired by liberals who envisioned a German
nation ruled by parliamentary government. The revolutions failed, and many liberals fled the country,
but they proved to be an excuse for the Prussian army to invade other parts of the Confederation. The
Prussian military leader was Otto von Bismarck, who subjugated the rebels and declared the beginning

The Household Circle Of India
1.The household circle in France and that of India display numerous similarities. However, it may be
that such is the case in most countries where families are kept together. In India, distant relatives like
grandparents and cousins either settle collectively or maintain a near distance if living separately.
Indians are not as likely as Americans to relocate away from their families and, when it is
economically possible, prefer to stay in the same geographic area. Though it seems that the French
differentiate from that of my own culture due to that fact that they maintain relations with those of the
enlarged household till the third or fourth generation. Also, on page 60 Au Contraire mentions that the
extended kinsfolk gather together for a Sunday lunch. This is generally not seen in India as members
of the lengthened household may reside adjacent to each other, but do not meet as often as the French.
Nonetheless, as an Indian American, my society maintains most of the aspects of the Indian
community and a little of the typical American culture. The French concept of the state of a young
adult is similar to my cultural structure due to the fact that the youth gravitate to stay nearby parents
until marriage in order to remain under their watchful eye and to refrain from an involvement of
morally disliked activities. Similarly, as mentioned on page 60 of the book Au Contraire, in France,
children attend universities in close proximity to their homes and lean to disapprove of

The Beginning Of Foreign Aid Essay
Introduction: 1.The beginning of Foreign Aid
All human beings regardless of their background require a set of resources to survive. These are food,
water, shelter and clothing in addition to this, healthcare, education and sanitation are also essential for
a person s wellbeing. In 1949 Truman s Inaugural Address we must embark on a bold new program for
making the benefits of our scientific advances and industrial progress available for the improvement
and growth of underdeveloped areas raised awareness of the fundamental belief that countries that are
far more developed should be assisting underdeveloped countries to improve their living standards.
Aid is the giving of money, goods and advice by one country to another. The principle of giving and
supporting others through foreign aid blossomed during the 1960 s, technological advances provided
opportunities for televised reporting in the United States of inhumane situations in other
underdeveloped countries. The idea of tackling poverty took hold and the UN and Bretton Woods
Institutions (originally formed for post war reconstruction) became mechanisms for action on
development. 2. Why should we help?
After a reading a considerable amount, poverty has consistently been a vocal point of discussion when
addressing critical humanitarian issues such as: famine, drought, crime, population management and
much more. Global organisations have attempted to provide accurate data of distribution of wealth

Mr. Humphrey agrees since nurses are caregivers; this implies that they are the ones in charge of
taking care of the patients through providing them with food, administering drugs to them, and even
ensuring that the hygiene of the patients is maintained at all time. Apart from being caregivers, they
also make decisions pertaining the patients. In doing so, the nurses will determine the measures that
should be taken to improve the patients health in case it is on the decline. This is a vital role as it is
upon this that the patients recovery is determined. Moreover; nurses are also in charge of making
communications with the patient and even their family members (Institute of Medicine (US), 2011).
This aspect greatly determines the direction of the treatment as the opinion of the family members is
not only integral but also vital in some instances. The hospital can avoid being put into an awkward

Aboriginal People Essay
BACKGROUND
Aboriginal people within Canada and around the world are connected and exceptional in their unique
heritages, attachments to homelands, and natural ways of life , they are also deeply connected in
histories of contest and colonization in which they have had to combat efforts aimed at destroying
their material and cultural existence and failed efforts to assimilate or mould them to fit within the
configurations of other societies (Taiaiake Corntassel, 2005, 597). The Aboriginal history is based on
the context that they are occupied peoples who have been dispossessed and disempowered in their
own homelands (Taiaiake Corntassel, 2005, 598). Factors of social exclusion as well as political and

Part two: Summary of student outcomes
The evaluation of the students work was conducted with the end of year exams in mind. In particular, I
wanted to provide feedback and forward to the students that was targeted towards their essay writing
in the exams at the end of the year. I grouped results from what grades the students gained against the
marking schedule that I developed. Bearing in mind that the sample size was small, most students
attained the merit grade, with the same amount of students being either side of the merit grade with
three respectively. This indicates that the work that is being achieved is at an above average level,
highlighted by no one failing the assessment. The evidence also suggests that the students are on the
way to excellence. With the feed forward being provided there should be a number of those students
who should be attaining excellences in that class at the end of year mock exams.
In terms of the specific feedback forward itself. There were common trends that came through for
each grade. Figure two, outlines some common themes that came across for each student attaining
those grades. For the achieved level the, students were identifying the causes and consequences. The
feedforward for those students is that if they want to attain merits and excellences they need to be

There are two types of diabetes: diabetes insipidus and diabetes mellitus. Diabetes insipidus is a rare
metabolic disorder caused by a deficiency of the pituitary hormone, which is usually the result of
damage to the pituitary gland. Diabetes insipidus is characterized by enormous amounts of urine that
are produced by the body regardless of how much liquid is consumed. Diabetes mellitus results from
the production of insufficient amounts of insulin by the pancreas. Without insulin the body cannot

The Evils Of The Industrial Revolution And The Progressive...
Two of the most documented time periods in the history of the United States is the Industrial
Revolution and the Progressive Era. Thanks to the innovations of the late nineteenth century and the
early twentieth century, our country and the world are what they are today. Because of the
developments made during these time periods, capitalism is shaped the way it is. While the majority
of Americans revere the capitalist economic system as we know it today, the country was under great
criticism by protesters in the early 1900s. Although business in the early 1900s were incredibly
efficient with creating profit, it came at a great cost; horrible working conditions and corruption. The
huge amounts of profit generated by companies were largely thanks to the workers who, forced by
their poor living conditions, were willing to work long hours for miniscule pay. Many children were
also exploited for labor, hence why we have the child labor laws we have today. Of course, there were
several people who protested these companies and capitalism in general. Many of these protests
manifested themselves in the form of literature and art. These authors and artists were called
muckrakers. One of the most popular muckrakers of the time was Upton Sinclair, who wrote dozens
upon dozens of pieces dedicated to exposing the evils of capitalism at the time. One of his most
famous pieces is The Jungle, a novel which depicts the struggles of a migrant family from Lithuania

Hurricanes And Its Impact On Hurricane Katrina
INTRODUCTION: It is well known that hurricanes are extremely dangerous and cause a significant
amount of damage and devastation among many cities and countries. Researchers have studied and
found that hurricanes could be classified and categorized into five different areas ranging from least
severe to most extreme. Category one being the least severe and Category five would be known to
destroy a whole city. Hurricanes are categorized on how much damage one can cause and how strong
they are. There have been many hurricanes around the world that were known to cause a significant
amount of damage but not one hurricane was compared to what the people from New Orleans,
Louisiana experienced when Hurricane Katrina hit on Monday August 29, 2005. Katrina was known

How To Write An Organic Contaminant Essay
Organic Contaminants in Humans Unfortunately, we grew up with the inception that organic food
crops and other merchandises are pesticide free, making us believe that it is completely safe for us to

These Contaminants are carbon based chemicals; which include solvents and pesticides. They can
enter our main everyday sources such as: water runoff from cropland or waste from factories entering
our foods, eventually exposing humans to these contaminants. Organic Contaminants can be broken
down into plastics, lubricants, fuels, solvents, pesticides and preservatives. Overall, any kind of

contaminated air, food crops, and meat or dairy products. The level in an individual s body is
identified as the dioxin body burden. Individuals who are carnivores may have higher dioxin body
burdens as the food within that category contain high levels of dioxins. Fortunately, there are two
main available tests that are used for measuring dioxins in human blood. The first test is the Bioassay

Hasty Generalization Fallacy
Fallacies are an error in reasoning, a fault in one s argument that does not have the correct evidence or
facts. Fallacies are something that we commit since we were young kids, arguing with your brothers
or sisters and into our adulthood arguing with our spouse or trying to make a point in our career fields.
Many of us even commit these fallacies without realizing what we are doing, it is a learning progress
for many to realize and understand when we are using fallacy and trigger our brain to think in a
different way to avoid the trickiness of fallacies. One fallacy that could be tricky and easy to use daily

means so much to so many different people that without the designation of a town centre through
planning, the view on which place best serves this description varies as much as the people who live
and visit there. For me personally, the town centre is located along Tallebudgera Creek including
Burleigh heads national park and on the opposite side, the Tallebudgera Recreation Camp all the way
down to the Tallebudgera Creek Conservation Park. Because of this, this is the area is what will be
analysed for this essay.
In order to fully understand the centre I will look at it through the theory presented in Responsive ...

(David Seamon 2014) (Bentley, et al 1985).
The second of the explored aspects is Variety. Permeability by itself is useless without a difference of
view and function between different areas. Variety when explored in Responsive Environments are
more concerned in the ... Variety of uses... (Bentley, et al 1985, pg. 10) of the area. They propose that a
well designed environment has a diverse range of spaces within the same environment, e.g. Houses,
shops, recreational areas, etc. within the same block. (David Seamon 2014) (Bentley, et al 1985).
The third of the explored aspects is Legibility. This looks at how the spaces are arranged and
described. It proposes that paths should be descriptive enough to describe where the route would take
as well as the function a space will be used. It also proposes that routes and junctions should differ
from other routes and junctions through the differing of qualities. With the designation of legible space
comes understanding of the environment as well as the route to take to reach a destination without
prior understanding of the special arrangements. (David Seamon 2014) (Bentley, et al 1985).
The fourth of the explored aspects is Robustness. This describes the ability of an area to have a
multitude of uses (David Seamon 2014) (Bentley, et al 1985). In the book it is stated, Our objective is
to make their spatial and construction organisation suitable for the widest possible range of likely
activities and future uses both in short

Buddhism In The Tang Dynasty Buddhism is originated from India, however it seems that China has become the center of Buddhism with the rise of Tang, and the Chinese Buddhism have a profound influence on the development of Buddhism in East Asia. Although Buddhism was introduced to the Chinese people early in the Han Dynasty in the first century B.C., a couple of historical events in Tang Dynasty truly mark the prosperousness of Buddhism in China. During the early Tang dynasty, along with many other pilgrims, the monk Xuanzang traveled to India and returned to Chang an (Place 1) with a large collection of Buddhist texts, relics, and statues. • 3. Franz Chopin Research Paper Frédéric François Chopin (1 March 1810 17 October 1849) was a genius Polish composer and a virtuoso pianist during the Romantic period of piano mainly creating solo piano compositions. Chopin is a worldwide known piano composer who led his era and is nationally known whose poetic genius was based on a professional technique that was without equal in his generation. (qtd. The Romantic Generation p. 284) Throughout his career, Chopin was able to change the perceived viewpoint of musical articulation and composition. His music contains many mysteries and wonders that involve a singing legato, creating the sound of unbroken sound from the piano, like a human voice. Chopin s childhood and education was revolved around the topic of music. He ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Musical improvisation is the creative activity of immediate musical composition, which combines performance with communication of emotions and instrumental technique as well as spontaneous response to other musicians. (qtd. From Wikipedia). Chopin used many of his techniques of improvisations to meet the audience s expectations as well as maintaining the conventions of musical form. After making his early combined works for piano and orchestra, he didn t compose any orchestral musics for a while until of his late works of sonatas of the piano and cello. Chopin s individuality was the advantage of his flexibility of his handling of four bar phrases as a structural unit. Many of the works of Chopin was intended for concert performances. Chopin created many different compositions varying in style and technique including: mazurkas, waltzes, polonaises, nocturnes, and études. Chopin s mazurkas and waltzes were all in straightforward ternary or episodic form. Chopin s polonaises showed the development and advancement of his Polish predecessors. And his 21 nocturnes were posing of great emotional depth despite the fact the structure was so important in these types of pieces. And finally, Chopin s études were the basic teachings of his own technique of piano playing. Of course, various means of communication like gestures and others can never replace the use of a language in a human life. A human being is a God s creation, but a language is a human creation. The same information in one language can be communicated differently through different languages depending on culture, region, religion, politics and above all the society of the speaker of a particular language. The interaction between two persons of two diverse nations would be completely impossible due to the absence of knowledge of the other s language with each other. Partly because of the oral traditions and partly due to the destructions of innumerable texts because of weather conditions, several problems arise when the earlier history of translation is attempted. The history of translation in India has, according to Ritā Kothāri, three stages: oral, written and printed with no mechanism for tracing the oral tradition of translation . Further, she adds that The written tradition. . . is rooted in medieval India, around the fourteenth and fifteen centuries, when excerpts from the Sanskrit scriptures began to travel into the regional languages (Kothāri 2003: 6 7). However, it is believed that, as Krishnamurthy notes, the first requirement for inter language communication in the subcontinent probably arose through trade (Krishnamurthy 1998: 464). Kautilya, known as Chānakya (c. 370 283 BC), a minister to Chandragupta Maurya (c. 340 298 BC), in the 4th century BC wrote a treatise on statecraft indicating the status that the translator might have had during this period without the use of a word translator but scribes (Ibid: 465). Thus, this activity of translation as a discourse offers India more opportunities due to its multilingual status, whereas the possibility of translation in the West is less due to its monolingual status. Thus, it is noticeable that multilingualism offers benefits to the practice of translation simultaneously ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
  • 5. Thomas Paine And His Father Philosopher Thomas Paine Thomas Paine was born in Norfolk, England on January 29, 1737 to a middle income family. His father was a Quaker while his mother was an Anglican, therefore, constant family arguments about religion became part of Thomas life (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy 2). He did not have much of formal education as he quit schooling at the age of thirteen years and began working for his father. He was baptized in the Anglican Church that his mother attended. His father had forbidden him from learning the Latin language while he was in school though he wanted to learn it. His father specialized in craft staymaking and this was the skill that Thomas learned while working for his father (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy 2). Thomas had tried running away from home twice, failing in his first escape, but was successful in the second. He escaped to London and then went to Margate where he continued to work as a craft staymaker. He also preached in a church called Methodist persuasion. It was during this time that he married Mary Lambert who died during childbirth (Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy 2). Several incidents had a significant impact on the life of Thomas such as working as an officer in an excise service, teaching in a school in London, as well as being appointed a member of the debating society at the Headstrong Club. Thomas later married Elizabeth Ollive in the year 1771. Thomas died on 8th June 1809 in Greenwich Village in New York City in ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Derivates in Market Essay INTRODUCTION amp;#8220;A derivative is like a razor, you can use it to shave and make yourself attractive for your girlfriend, you can slit your throat with it or you can use it to commit suicide. amp;#8217;(Anon.) This statement describes to us the problems, and on the other hand rewards, that the proper use of derivatives can bring. The derivatives market has developed responding to the uncertainty about prices, and therefore provided a means of separating out this price volatility. The tendency of the market to move up or down in what appears to be a random manner has brought about the need for financial products which will protect or hedge the investor against the ill effects of market volatility. • 7. Reflection Of Personal Branding After speaking with Christina on the phone, I learned how she experienced the summer Management program during her undergrad as an English major at WFU. She was an English major and did not know specifically what she wanted to do immediately after graduation. After applying to a couple jobs, she received feedback from a stranger who happened to be a fellow WFU alum. This individual did not think Christina would get a job at her company, but offered to spread her resume around. Christina was extremely grateful for the kindness the other lady gave her, and she eventually landed a role as part of a production company for her first job. Christina learned of her current employer, Compass Professional Health Services, through a roommate who was a former employee of the company. She encouraged Christina to apply for the open positions, which she later did via Handshake. Hearing about her experience during the application and interview cycle(s) were great for me to see how the job market functions for this particular company. One of the things that caught my attention after Christina was offered and accepted a position at Compass was the training time prior to officially starting. The amount of preparation before, and then observing and learning from others at work was a great example for me to listen and visualize while thinking of the points discussed in Personal Branding. A point during our practice reviewing resumes was that companies are particular with new hires, because ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 9. Analysis Of The Poem The Riveter Rosie the Riveter is a symbolic figure and has helped shape America into what it is today. The bright yellow back round, with bold words standing out in the navy speech bubble, We can do it . The focus of the poster is much more than the words written. This poster is of the women of the modern world Rosie. She is wearing a jean shirt with rolled sleeve as she flexes her arm to show her strength. She has a red bandana around her head holding up her hair. She gives a twist to what the traditional women looked like during the 1940 s. She was there to give women a sense of empowerment and motivation to go to work. The poster Rosie the Riveter was created for the Saturday Evening Post May 29, 1943 for the Memorial Day issue. The artist J. Howard Miller created one of the most iconic posters of all time. The Rosie the Riveter poster was made as propaganda to encourage women to join the workforce, as the men fought in World War 2. The meaning behind the poster Rosie the Riveter has stayed the same throughout time, giving women a sense of entitlement. It intentionally made women motivated to do their part and to support the war and join the workforce. The poster did wonders as women headed to the factories. They were needed, so women put their work boots on and went to work, as the men went off to war. Rosie the Riveter was the face if a new generation of women by giving them the chance to be independent. This helped create mass social change. As men headed back to work they were ... • 10. Memory Is a Constructive and Dynamic System Rather Than a... Exploring Psychology Memory is a constructive and dynamic system rather than a passive mechanism for recording external information. Evaluate this claim, making reference to research findings. The concept that the memory is a constructive and dynamic system was originally introduced by Sir Frederic Bartlett, in the 1920 s. According to Bartlett, social factors influence one s ability to remember, and in turn, can either change a person s perception of a specific memory or distort the original memory. As opposed to the memory being a passive mechanism which indicates that the brain can store data and facts which can later be recalled without distortion and remain as they were when they were first encoded. Bartlett suggests ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... Cognitive interview skills have been invented to combat such a constructive and dynamic system which our memory is built on. These theories are called context reinstatement , which is a technique used that puts a person s thoughts back to their physical surroundings so that these senses can stimulate certain memories. Recalling everything , is a technique that encourages a person to remember every detail of an event, whether they believe it to be relevant or not which, in turn, can lead to the retrieval of important and factual information. Recalling in different temporal orders , uses the technique of reversal retrieval. This method asks a person to remember the events in reverse order which puts more emphasis on remembering the facts, as this is not a natural way of thinking it forces information to be recalled. Finally, the last method is called changing perspective which asks a person to recall the events from a different perspective other than their own. This encourages them to think in more detail and again encourages more information to be retrieved (Brace, 2007, p126). All these exercises have been created to help stimulate the brain into remembering and all work on the basis that for our memories to be retrieved it is essential that we relate past experiences to specific events. Without this stimulus our mind would not be able to retrieve memories that have been stored ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

I learned this lesson because I did see Stacy suffering through the pain while she was taking a shower and it appears to be that she might be too scared to tell anyone about how Bobby is mistreating her because she might fear that Bobby will hurt her. This movie showed its audience an example of a real life situation that many teenagers and college students face and it gives us a clearer image as to how we should handle our abusive relationships just as how Stacy s friends try to do so. • 13. Examples Of Gothic Trope In Australia Directed By Baz Lurhman Hello and welcome back to FNS. On today s episode, we ll be focusing on the Australian film industry, and more specifically, how the gothic trope of the Australian outback is manipulated to present Australian identity. One of the better examples of this manipulation is the movie Australia, directed by Baz Lurhman. Lurhman has used narrative, aesthetic and cinematic techniques to distort and manipulate the gothic trope throughout the film. Gothic is known as the literary, artistic and architectural style which originated in the 12th century (Wikipedia, 2016). The basic concept of the gothic style consists of fear, horror and strangely eccentric ideas (Anon. 2016). Similarly, the gothic trope of Australia s outback relates to the harsh, unforgiving ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... An example of this is how they re shown as a threat to settlers (Turcotte, G. 1998). However this colonial perspective of the trope is corrupted when Nullah forms a bond with Lady Ashley. Their relationship s established after Lady Ashley sings Over the Rainbow from The Wizard of Oz to Nullah. The tune then becomes the motif which plays when they re together. It can be assumed that as a British woman, Lady Ashley represents the settlers. Therefore, the closeness her and Nullah share symbolises how un threatening Aboriginals really are and subverts the tropes colonial perspective. The pair s bond also challenges another element of the trope; the construction of Aboriginals as figures haunting the Australian landscape (Turcotte, G. 1998). Not even four minutes into the film, the audience is given a scene in which Nullah and his grandfather, King George, are wandering the land and learning to hunt. This establishes the relationship Aboriginal people share with the land; as if the land is their home and backbone (Korff, J. 2016). Later in the film, Nullah is drawn to go walkabout with his Grandfather, but held back for a while by Lady Ashley and the Drover. However, it may be that such is the case in most countries where families are kept together. Indians are not as likely as Americans to relocate away from their families and, when it is economically possible, prefer to stay in the same geographic area. • 32. The Between China And Taiwan The campaign of the occupation lays the advantages as well as the disadvantages of the CSSTA under the sun stark naked; unfortunately, the pact is already passed. The forced adoption by the KMT highlights the Ma government s arbitrary abuse of the power and infringement of the human right, leading to the constitutional crisis of the retrogression in democracy. It meanwhile stimulates civilians to ponder the rebirth of democracy. (堅持,直到島嶼天光, see footnote , translation mine). The interaction of the trade activities between Mainland China and Taiwan always successfully draws attention from the global, but this time the fuel is directly presented in the manifesto of the Sunflower Movement 堅持,直到島嶼天光. People are mainly protesting the CSSTA [Cross Strait Service Trade Agreement, CSSTA] against the untransparent processes. This agreement, passed without the regular procedure, underlines the dark side of the Ma government and how it simultaneously summons up civilians to deeply think about what is now striking the democracy in Taiwan. In addition to the domestic problems originating from the CSSTA, the other vital issue our nation is encountering now is that Taiwan is standing at a lower position in this financial game. The scales and structures of business are totally different between Taiwan and China. If we just accept the trade without detailed consideration, China is likely [taking] control over Taiwan by means of financial interactions, and it will lead to what Hong Kong ... • 37. The Evils Of The Industrial Revolution And The Progressive... Two of the most documented time periods in the history of the United States is the Industrial Revolution and the Progressive Era. Thanks to the innovations of the late nineteenth century and the early twentieth century, our country and the world are what they are today. Because of the developments made during these time periods, capitalism is shaped the way it is. While the majority of Americans revere the capitalist economic system as we know it today, the country was under great criticism by protesters in the early 1900s. Although business in the early 1900s were incredibly efficient with creating profit, it came at a great cost; horrible working conditions and corruption. The huge amounts of profit generated by companies were largely thanks to the workers who, forced by their poor living conditions, were willing to work long hours for miniscule pay. Many children were also exploited for labor, hence why we have the child labor laws we have today. Of course, there were several people who protested these companies and capitalism in general. Many of these protests manifested themselves in the form of literature and art. These authors and artists were called muckrakers. One of the most popular muckrakers of the time was Upton Sinclair, who wrote dozens upon dozens of pieces dedicated to exposing the evils of capitalism at the time. One of his most famous pieces is The Jungle, a novel which depicts the struggles of a migrant family from Lithuania who traveled to Chicago in the ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 41. How To Write An Organic Contaminant Essay Organic Contaminants in Humans Unfortunately, we grew up with the inception that organic food crops and other merchandises are pesticide free, making us believe that it is completely safe for us to eat. This is not one hundred percent true. Organic Contaminants are the main sorcery behind this. These Contaminants are carbon based chemicals; which include solvents and pesticides. The level in an individual s body is identified as the dioxin body burden. Individuals who are carnivores may have higher dioxin body burdens as the food within that category contain high levels of dioxins. Fortunately, there are two main available tests that are used for measuring dioxins in human blood. The first test is the Bioassay Test. This test provides an estimate for the total TEQ concentration in the body. The second test is High resolution gas chromatography spectroscopy (HR GC/MS). (Bentley, et al 1985, pg. 10) of the area. They propose that a well designed environment has a diverse range of spaces within the same environment, e.g. Houses, shops, recreational areas, etc. within the same block. It proposes that paths should be descriptive enough to describe where the route would take as well as the function a space will be used. It also proposes that routes and junctions should differ from other routes and junctions through the differing of qualities. With the designation of legible space comes understanding of the environment as well as the route to take to reach a destination without prior understanding of the special arrangements.
