The first World Trade Center Attack in 1993 and the Boston Marathon Attack in 2013 are two
significant attacks that share some similarities and difference. Although horrific, both attacks
provide useful information to combat terrorism in the future. In a way, the World Trade Center
Attack influenced the Boston Marathon Attack, and there is even an indirect link between the two
attacks. Observing how the occurrences resembled one another, and interpreting the way
technology has changed will provide some insight.
First, the World Trade CenterAttack was perpetrated by the terrorist organization Al Qaeda. Al
Qaeda is a notorious, organized, and established group of radical Islamists. Al Qaeda has
influenced numerous other terrorist organizations in countries around the world. They have access
to massive resources, regarding both people, technology, know how, and weapons. Al Qaeda has
been on the intelligence radar for many years.
In contrast, the two subjects that committed the Boston Marathon Attack, later identified as the
Tsarnaev brothers, were not formally affiliated with any terrorist organization. They were self

are shipped at great distances (to UT, OK, TX, ID) for final disposition at C landfills or for
incineration. Corporate risk management in mishandling the Superfund sediment in transport such
as a derailment can lead to long term corporate liability as well as environmental hazards from a
spill from both the ecological and human health perspectives. As such, a new localized remediation
method involving superheating sediments on site within a rotary kiln have recently been
implemented in other areas, and, because of its beneficial use product generation, reduction of risk
and gaseous contaminants, and removal of transport costs, it is now being considered as a viable
alternative to traditional post dredge remediation procedures.

Introduction
The Forbidden City was the Chinese imperial palace from the mid Ming Dynasty to the end of the
Qing Dynasty. It is located in the middle of Beijing, and now houses the Palace Museum. It was
built from 1406 to 1420 by the third Ming emperor Yongle, who upon usurping the throne,
determined to move his capital north from Nanjing to Beijing. In 1911 the Qing dynasty fell to the
republican revolutionaries. The last emperor, PuyiжєҐе„Ђ, continued to live in the palace after his
abdication until he was expelled in 1924. Twenty four emperors lived and ruled from this palace
