Social Media Integration Theory Of Isra Garcia (2010)
Social Media Integration Theory of Isra Garcia (2010)
According to Isra Garcia (2010), The exposure, feedback, engagement , connection and sharing that
Social Media platforms provides, creates a major changes for the traditional communication
understanding. The flow of communication is no longer considered as a one way street in which
audience received messages through the I communicate you receive mantra. Rather, Social Media
integration is seen as an interactive process in which there is more than two people communicating to
each other at the same time that enables same level information exchange among the users.
Social bookmarking sites such as blogs or web pages place content into an active eco system that
allows social media interaction such as Twitter or Facebook. This content is then partaked and spread
virally through the interaction made on the social media eco system. This refers to people being
connected to people through common groups, associations, and interests. Since this becomes the six
degrees of separation this interaction causes the viral effect. This social media platform allows the
interaction and the ability for the model to flow and become organic. Then, the social networking
platforms enable the connection with the public through the engagement approach caused by the two

Hustler Vs Falwell Case Study
I. Hustler v. Falwell II. 485 U.S. 46 (1988) III. Facts: In Hustler v. Falwell a dispute arose when
Hustler Magazine, a a magazine that circulates nationwide featured a parody of an advertisement for
Campari Liqueur. The inside front cover of the magazine presented interviews with celebrities who
described their first time. One of the parodies belonged to Jerry Falwell, a nationally acclaimed
minister who was featured as describing his first time with his mother when they were both
intoxicated from drinking Campari Liqueur. While the interviews with the celebrities contained a
double sexual reference, it was evident in the end that the ads were referring to the first time the
celebrities had tried Campari Liqueur. However, after the magazine was accessible to the public, Jerry
Falwell sued Hustler Magazine and its publisher for libel, invasion of privacy, and intentional
infliction of emotional distress. At trial court the judge dismissed the invasion of privacy claim and
then sent the case to the jury where they ruled Hustler Magazine on the claim of intentional infliction
of emotional distress and awarded Jerry Falwell $150,000. The case was then taken to the Supreme
Court level on appeal by the petitioner, Jerry Falwell. IV. Issues: (1) Does the First Amendment s
freedom of speech prohibit public figures from recovering damages for intentional infliction of
emotional distress? V. Decision and Action: (1) No. Reversed. VI. Reasoning: Per

Malaga Island History
Malaga Island is located at the mouth of New Meadows River in Phippsburg, Maine. Within the last
1,000 years, Native Americans inhabited the 42 acres rocky and rugged island. Not a lot is known
about how the inhabitants lived, but now there are lots known about the later residents that occupied
the island s northern part from the 1860s to 1912. One of the possible origins traced back to an African
American man named Benjamin Darling. In 1794, he bought Horse Island which is now known as
Harbor Island, located near Malaga Island. All of Darling s descendants and families started to live on
the island, but Fatima Darling Griffin and Henry Griffin were the first ones to live on Malaga Island.
In the 1900s, Malaga was in the middle of the great change in Maine. A poor economy was uprising; a

Frederick Plaisted visited Malaga with his Executive council. He decided to have the shacks burned
down, he also said that the conditions in the island community were not creditable to the state and it
shouldn t have been there. The heirs of Eli Perry ruled the island so the family filed to have the
community dismissed. Later in 1912, the State of Maine bought Malaga Island from the Perry family
heirs for $400. The occupants were ordered to leave the island by July 1, 1912. There weren t any
other places they could go so when Agent Pease entered the island he found that all the houses were
empty. The State completed the removal by unburied the cemetery remains on Malaga Island
combining 17 people into 5 caskets and moved them into the cemetery at the Maine School for the
Feeble Minded. For decades, the descendants of the inhabitants of the island needed to hide their
heritage. They encountered racism and scandal throughout years since 1912. Now in the 21st century,
the story of Malaga Island has become a the center of attention again. Now the researching the history

Clarke And Stine Argumentative Essay
Despite what is commonly assumed, specific African traditions and beliefs were not merely
transferred from the continent to the Americas. Rather, African American communities took on
African customs and incorporated them into their own distinct worldview, and these new African
American customs were even transferred back to the Continent. The Atlantic served as a passageway
that did moved more than human bodies, but also the traditions that those bodies carried with them.
Evidence for this phenomenon is found through both anecdotal stories from the Lowcountry as well as
through anthropological findings on the way material objects were understood and used. Although
very different styles of research, Clarke and Stine provide compelling arguments

The Colonial Education System
When a person thinks of an education system, they most likely think of the education system that was
in place when they went to school. That system however had many different influences to become
what it was. Some of those influences came from the different regions in the American colonial time.
In American colonial time, the Europeans who were settling along the coast all shared a general
culture and heritage. They however had differences when it came to their economic, political and
religious beliefs. Those main factors, as well as others, such as language and geography, motivated
them to split into different colonies. Those colonies can be grouped into three regions which are the
New England, the southern and the Middle Atlantic colonies. Since each region had their differences,
with the main difference being the type of religion practiced, each region had a different style for
education. The New England colonies included Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and
Rhode Island. They followed the views of the Puritanism and Calvinism. The Puritan belief system
did not have a lot of patience with children, and they expected them to act as if they were young
adults. One view on children was that They were small savages who needed constant upbraiding and
discipline to curb their evil inclinations and desires (as cited in Gutek, 2013). The education system of
the New England colonies greatly reflected that view, where the teachers used great discipline to keep

Human Resource Professionals And Human Resources
Organisations of all kinds face changes in their environment, and there is a need for individuals who
are capable of turning strategy into reality. This change agent role is often located within the Human
Resource function. There are several reasons for this trend: Human resource professionals have
become business partners over the past decade, demonstrating the value they can add to the business
Leaders are looking for where the change process can best be managed Most business strategies
require major changes in people related issues, Human Resource professionals develop and manage
the key people systems needed to support organisational change Organisations that demonstrate a
flexible workforce who embrace the change will adapt more efficiently and effectively, and therefore
developing the skills, knowledge and behaviours of the human capital is crucial. Learning and
development initiatives are a key tool to encourage this culture of life long learning, and will
ultimately lead to a work force with the ability and desire to grow and adapt with the organisation. The
role of HR has changed from being a mostly administrative role to becoming a force that helps shape
company s aims and objectives. Whilst all HR strategies should be aligned and support each other
(horizontal integration), in order to provide the best possible service all HR strategies must be aligned
with organisational strategies (vertical integration) to support the company in achieving the

The Pastor And Teacher As A Gift
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors
and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of
Christ... (Ephesians 4:11 12). This passage in Ephesians establishes the ability to be a pastor and
teacher as a gift. The pastor is often looked at as the face of a local church. This is evidenced by the
fact that when people are discussing a church, someone will almost certainly ask the question: Who is
the pastor of that church? . The pastor plays an important part in a local church. He is generally looked
to as the leader, the head teacher, and the lead counselor to a specific local assembly. But a pastor s not
just the leader of a local church. It s important to examine how the Bible defines a pastor. The word
used for pastor in Ephesians 4 literally means shepherd. The same word is used in 1 Peter 5 when
Peter instructs the elders to shepherd the flock of God. For this reason, we can know that role of elder
and overseer are synonymous with pastor. They are interchangeable terms. Elders were appointed by
apostles to be in charge of a local church (Acts 14:23). This is what Jesus meant when he told Peter to
shepherd My sheep (John 21:16). Shepherds, naturally, were in charge of the sheep they tended. They
feed them, guide them, care for, and retrieve their sheep. When one thinks about what this illustration
entails, we begin to see how the term pastor is

The Principle Of Conducting Research
The principle of conducting research is sprouting and growing, which it has turned out to be a
important skill in today s modern world. A main importance of nursing is to deliver patients with high
quality and excellent service and care. It has concluded and established that lack of research in clinical
practice is merely a practice without validation. Research is dynamic and a vital component used in
appraising the efficiency and efficacy of modalities in nursing treatments and also to examining the
outcome of nursing care on a patient s health. In a situation when challenges and changes occur in
nursing practices, thus research needs to be conducted in order to address these needs or challenges.
Quantitative research is a recognized, official, objective, rigorous, systematic process for creating
statistical information and data about the nation. Quantitative research is conducted to define new
circumstances, procedures, impression or ideas; test the relationships among variables; and to
determine and conclude the effectiveness and efficacy of treatments in the whole world (Burns, 2011).
Qualitative research is a systematic, subjective approach used to describe life experiences and give
them meaning. Qualitative research is not a new idea in the social or behavioral sciences (Burns,
2011). Qualitative research consists of a detailed, thorough and complete description of circumstances
or events whereas quantitative research is the approach in attempts to describe these

Transformation Of Escherichia Bacteria And Dna
Transformation of Escherichia coli in different concentrations of Plasmid DNA
Introduction
This report discusses an experiment which students have to transform and plate competent Escherichia
coli in different concentrations of plasmid DNA. This experiment uses four concentrations of plasmid
DNA to perform four transformations. These concentrations are namely, 5 µl of distilled water, which
acts as the control in this experiment; 2.5 µl of undiluted plasmid DNA; 1.0µl of undiluted plasmid
DNA; and lastly, 1.0µl of plasmid DNA diluted 1 in 10. Transformation is an important aspect in
genetic engineering as it allows for a particular DNA to enter into another cell. The aim of this
experiment is to be able to perform a cell transformation ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
Then, we placed 100 µl of the E. coli cells into four Eppendorf tubes each and labelled them A, B, C
and D. After filling them up, we placed them into an ice box. After this, we needed to perform the
transformation process by mixing the E. coli cells with different concentrations of plasmid DNA. In
test tube A, we added 5 µl of distilled water to the E. coli cells. In test tube B, we added 2.5 µl of
undiluted plasmid DNA to the E. coli cells. In test tube C, we added 1.0 µl of undiluted plasmid DNA
to the E. coli cells. Lastly, in test tube D, we added 1.0 µl of plasmid DNA diluted 1 in 10 to the E.
coli cells. Then, we used a P100 pipette and mixed all the liquids in all the Eppendorf tubes by
pipetting the solution up and down. Then, we left the Eppendorf tubes along with its contents in the
ice box for twenty minutes. After twenty minutes, we labelled the base of the four agar plates to match
with the appropriate plasmid DNA concentration about to be plated. We also wrote our initials, the
date, and the table number on the base of the agar plate. We then gently lifted up the cover of the agar
plate with just enough space to allow us to plate each tube of cells onto four different agar plates one
agar plate to one plasmid DNA concentration. We used a spreader to spread the cells evenly over the
surface of the agar, being careful not let the spreader touch

Abstract
Several researchers contributed to the development of psychology as a separate field of study. Their
work, along with Wundt s work, made Germany the undisputed center of the movement (Schultz,
Schultz, 2011p. 77). The world s first psychological laboratory was opened by Wilhelm Wundt in
1879 at the University of Leipzig (Schultz Schultz, 2011).When researchers started to rely on
controlled observations and experimentation to study the human mind psychology began to obtain its

There were three stages of behaviorism Watsonian behaviorism, Neobehaviorism, and
Sociobehaviorism. Neobehaviorism believed that the core of psychology is the study of learning, most
behavior, no matter how complex, can be accounted for by the laws of conditioning, and psychology
must adopt the principle of operationism (Schultz Schultz, 2011).
The gestalt school of thought was considered an original, undistorted, natural approach to
understanding a person s thinking, acting, and feeling. The greatest value in the Gestalt approach,
according to Perls, Hefferline and Goodman (1951, p.xi) lies in the insight that the whole determines
the parts, which contrasts with the previous assumption that the whole is merely the total sum of its
elements . Wertheimer asserted that we perceive objects in the same way we perceive apparent motion,
as unified wholes rather than clusters of individual sensations. The Gestalt principles are the basic
rules that we use to make sense of or organize our perceptual world (Schultz Schultz, 2011 p. 272).
There are six principles proximity, continuity, similarity, closure, simplicity, and figure/ground
(Schultz Schultz, 2011).

The New Penology Summary
Introduction
The journal article The New Penology: Notes on the emerging strategy for corrections Focuses on the
current and future changes to the penal system. In 1992 Malcolm M Feeley and Jonathon simon raised
the idea of The New Penology . This covered transformations and differences between the old
penology and the new penology. In addition techniques and objectives , distinguishing features , social
bases, drugs and punishment , innovation , new functions and the underclass, were aspects that were
explored in the article. This stated , In my opinion I believe that the journal article is effective in
conveying the shifts of techniques and emerging strategies in the penal system. Furthermore, The New
Penology introduces new transformations that have produced new techniques in order to achieve its
aims. For instance the objective to reduce recidivism could gradually progress through parole and the

concepts stem for the classicist school of thought ideas like Deterrence. This is evident in modern
society where prison is seen as the primary deterrent for crime. However the new penology introduces
how the results of recidivism can be used as an evaluating mechanism . The new Penology will

Judgement Day, Or The Judgement
A huge concern for most people, Christ follower or not, is the question of what happens in the end?
What happens when humans die? It is a question that many people do not want to discuss because it
brings up fear. Regardless of what people believe, all humankind will be judged in the end. Judgement
Day, or the Judgement, is something that will happen in end times where God has selected a day to
judge the world in righteousness. All people who have lived upon the earth, including fallen angels,
will stand before Christ and give an account for his or her actions, thoughts, and words. The Judgment
will be discussed in order to describe how it has been interpreted and studied as well as why it is
important in life today.
In order for one to believe that there will be a final judgement, one must have a specific worldview.
One must believe that there is a God. This does not necessarily mean they are Christian as a person
can believe in a God without actually following Him. One must believe in the Bible and that it is the
inerrant word of God. One must also believe in Heaven and Hell and a basic belief in Eschatology.
Eschatology comes from a Greek word eschados which means last and logia which means the study of
. It is the study of what happens in end times. One must believe that when they die, he or she s soul
will leave their body and go to Heaven. From there, they will then be reunited with their body at the
resurrection, and then await final judgement.

Social Control And Its Impact On America s Public Housing...
Promised a helping hand, security, and affordable living, residents of Chicago s public housing soon
found themselves in dilapidated, drug infested, crime filled, isolated centers of despair. During a time
in which most American citizens could easily turn their eyes from the struggles of the poor, Sudhir
Venkatesh s Gang Leader for a Day took readers into the depths of the world in which the poor
resided. Through Venkatesh s work, readers are inadvertently introduced to broader sociological
concepts such as, collective efficacy within communities, the concentration effect, recurring themes of
morality, and the underlying power of race, class, and gender as it related to the crime that took place
during Venkatesh s ethnographic like research. Collective efficacy is defined as social control exerted
by cohesive communities in which there exists a mutual trust and shared responsibilities including the
care of children (Siegel, 2011). When a neighborhood, or in this case a building complex, has high
collective efficacy it is believed to lower crime rates because the community members are essentially
setting the standards for the behavior for what will and what will not be accepted. However, in Gang
Leader for a Day, I have noticed a deviation. The people who lived in the Robert Taylor homes had
been there for years, take women such as Ms. Mae and Ms. Bailey for example. Neighbors knew
neighbors, children were taken care of by other neighbors, and there were respected and

Technology Plays Significant Role Today s Society
Technology plays significant role in today s society. With advances in technology, the market of
smartphones has experienced a significant growth since Apple introduced the iPhone in 2007.
Technological advances have also paved way for wearable devices as the next generation of mobile
technology. A wearable device is a small electronic device which can be worn on the body so that an
individual can freely use it even when moving3. An example of such wearable technology is a
smartwatch. A smartwatch is a computerized device with a touchscreen display, designed to be worn
on the wrist. The first smartwatch, Pulsar, was manufactured in 1972 by Hamilton Watch Company.
Earlier models of the smartwatch like Pulsar performed basic tasks such as translation and
calculations. Smartwatches manufactured in the 21st century like the Sony Smartwatch 3 and the
Apple Watch, are more advanced and can completely function as standalone products. Most of these
smartwatches have a rechargeable battery and a graphical display with a touchscreen and run on
mobile apps using a mobile operating system to carry out their functions when paired via Bluetooth.
When paired with a phone, it allows the watch to display data such as incoming calls, text messages,
emails notifications and any data which may be made available by relevant phone apps. 2. SONY

Prostate Cancer In Men Essay
Long waist men have a higher risk of developing more aggressive types of prostate cancer, a new
study suggests.
A survey of 140,000 men in eight European countries showed that 10 cm more in abdominal
circumference would increase the chances of developing cancer by 13 percent.
The largest group at risk, however, was men with a waistline greater than 94 cm, according to the
Oxford University study in England.
Prostate cancer is the most common in men.
The study, which was presented at the European Obesity Summit in Gothenburg, Sweden, examined
the association between 50 year old male body measurements and the risk of prostate cancer at 14
years.
During the period, there were about 7,000 cases of prostate cancer, of which 934 were fatal.
The researchers found that men with a high ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...

have also noted a higher risk of death from prostate cancer with higher BMI and waist circumference.
Aurora Pérez Cornago of the University of Oxford said the study showed that the association between
body size and prostate cancer is complex and varies according to the aggressiveness of the disease.
According to her, the big villains would be the cancer causing hormones present in fat cells, but this
has not yet been proven.
Survey showed that 10 cm more in the abdominal circumference would increase the chances of
developing more aggressive type of the disease in 13%.
But she added that the study did not specifically analyze the impact of weight loss on the risk of
prostate cancer.
A spokesperson for Prostate Cancer UK, the largest male health NGO

says more studies are needed to prove the association between waist circumference and the risk of

The Growth Of The Human Population
The indefinite growth of the human population, has monumental impacts on the natural environment,
not only in the UK, but around the globe. Architecturally, the entire process of designing and
constructing a building, both domestic and not, can lead to the rapid exhaustion of natural resources
across the planet. Building with environmental design strategies in mind not only combats the impact
we as humans have on the natural environment, but also has considerable economic benefits, due to
lower running costs of buildings and advanced occupant productivity. There are also many social
benefits, such as improved air quality which resultantly leads too enhanced health of a buildings
occupants.
The first section of my report touches two case study buildings that considers such matters in an
intimate way, the Dalby Forest Visitor Centre in Yorkshire, and the Heels Building, National Trust
Headquarters, located in Swindon. The second section of the report focuses on a personal statement,
giving my opinions on both buildings environmental sustainability and overall impact.
Case Study 1 Dalby Forest Visitor Centre: Firstly I investigated the Dalby Visitor Centre by White
Design, located in Yorkshire, UK. The £2.5 million environmentally sustainable visitor centre is one
of the first visitor centres the Forestry Commission have funded with environmental viability as its
core target. The Forestry Commission wanted a building that touched the ground lightly .

The More Dysfunctions, The More Escapes
The Wingfields and Westons are both inimitable families who carry distinctive traits and
characteristics. In the play, The Glass Menagerie, Tennessee Williams portrays a southern family in
the 1930 s trying to deal with life s pressures, and their own fears after their husband and father
deserts them. In the play, August: Osage County, Tracy Letts depicts a large eccentric family who

Social Contract In The Walking Dead

The Walking Dead and the Social Contract
The award winning television show, The Walking Dead, is used as a tool to explain the complexities
of the human behavior when faced with the need for natural survival. The show depicts the world after
a zombie apocalypse. Society and government as we know it had been torn down. The show is an
example of what lengths people would do to survive. Thomas Hobbes, John Locke, and Jean Jacques
Rousseau are some political philosophers who explain their versions of how political societies form
and how societies stayed together when they follow their versions of the laws of nature. Thomas

Rick s wife and son, and other survivors are living outside the city in a small camp. Rick s best friend,
Shane, is the unofficial sovereign. He steps into power because he is the most strong and able; he is
the natural leader. The others in camp follow Shane s judgement and rule. When Rick gets to camp, it
is apparent who leads. When other s get into an argument they go to Shane for the final judgement
call. Clearly they are all following the sovereign in benefit for the greater good. I believe a true
Hobbesian society is what has formed. The group has surrendered freedom and submitted to the
impromptu authority; exchanging their freedom for protection.
The other philosophers, Jean Jacques Rousseau and Locke have both explained the concept of giving
up certain rights in return for the protections and benefits that come along with societies. The
reasoning behind The Walking Dead being Hobbesian over a Lockean or Rousseauian deals with the
idea of rebellion. In a Hobbesian society, the idea of an uprising is unjust. One may not revolt against
the government because even the concept of an overthrow imbalances the scales and causes a civil
unrest

Skiing Industry Animals
Mark C.J. Stoddart conducted a study about animals presence in skiing industry in his article,
Grizzlies and Gondolas: Animals and the Meaning of Skiing Landscapes in British Columbia, Canada.
When people think of skiing, most of them probably picture snow covered nature, especially
mountains and forest; however, that public perception has been overlooked one thing: animals are also
present as the part of nature (Stoddart, 2011). The subject of this article is to examine three ways in
which animals present in skiing world: animals as symbols of nature in the skiing business,
environmentalists concern about endangered animals as a consequence of expansion of industry, and
interactive interviews with encounters. He selected discourse analysis, field observation, and in person

hotels in British Columbia, Canada used animals as their mascots. Most of them were bears, placing

Although he was born free, Solomon Northup still became a slave under tough circumstances.
Solomon Northup was born in July of 1808, in Minerva, New York. Solomon was born free due to the
death of his father s, Mintus, owner. His father s owner was named Captain Henry Northup, which is
how Solomon and his father received their last name. While Northup was a child, he had acquired
some education, but mainly worked on his family s farm. In 1828, Solomon married Anne Hampton.
In 1834, he and his wife moved to Saratoga Springs, New York. They later had three children,
Elizabeth, Margaret, and Alonzo. While in upstate New York, Solomon Northup received the

Edwin Epps and was a slave under him for the next ten years. His owner, Edwin Epps, put Solomon in
charge over the rest of the slaves. Solomon tried many times to escape, but was never successful.
Finally, in June of 1852, he was able to send letters to his friends and family back home in New York.
In these letters, he told them where he was and all that had happened to him. In November of 1852,
there was a widespread search in order to find Solomon. Solomon was found in the same year. On
January 4, 1853, Solomon legally obtained total freedom. He was then reunited with his family and
friends. In 1853, Solomon wrote a memoir called Twelve Years a Slave. He could not have done this
without the help of his friend, David Wilson. In the year of 1857, Solomon disappeared from the
public eye. After he disappeared, he then began to help Harriet Tubman with the Underground
Railroad. No one is quite sure how, when, or where Solomon died, On top of not knowing how, when,

Applying Continuous Improvement Instructional Effectiveness
The lesson plan on bullying by kidshealth.org/classroom identifies the health standard: demonstrate
the ability to advocate for personal, family, and community health, and demonstrate the ability to use
interpersonal communication skills to enhance health and avoid or reduce health risks. By using
discussion questions, the teacher is able to scaffold information students already know about bullying
into the discussion. This is effective because the teacher is able to expand the students learning from
what they already know to teaching more in depth information on bullying. This lesson does not offer
suggestions for multiple ability levels or interest. The teacher should incorporate into the lesson ways
to differentiate instruction for students at different ability levels and interest. This lesson does align
with health standards of demonstrating the ability to advocate for personal, family, and community

Obama Reflection
For my seminar, my group and I did Obamacare and Birth Control and the theme we had chosen was
The corruption of power, which allows racism, sexism, and religious intolerance to flourish . Firstly,
Obamacare is called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act , but it is usually called, ACA . Before
I go into further detail regarding ACA, there is a big misconception regarding Obamacare. Obamacare
is a health insurance reform, not healthcare reform. Also, Obamacare and ACA are the same things.
Firstly, ACA was effective on March 23 2010, as a health insurance reform. The ACA required every
citizen in the United States to have health insurance by the year 2014. The reason for this is that they
can balance a number of healthy people to sick people, so they can keep the premiums down for
everybody. Also, the ACA requires all corporations with 50+ employees to pay for their female
employees birth control. For my seminar, I hope to accomplish a court trial seminar. The trail was
supposed to be a trial that was somewhat like the Hobby Lobby case that happened three years ago.

think Christina even though he didn t show up much. Even though Kishen gave his part of the work
one day before a seminar date, Christina did even doing anything. To get around this problem, I did
their part of the work, so we can finish our seminar and get somewhere further. The way we overcame
the first obstacle is that we made Paige have an illegal abortion. The reason for that is that the ACA
covers abortion. We tried to make it a bit different from the Hobby Lobby case so it could be

Characteristics Of The Renaissance
The beginning of the renaissance started in the 1400 s in Florence. Many turned towards Humanism
which was an emphasis on man s qualities and power. Idealistic realism was showed through the
paintings in this time. Idealistic realism was a way of painting people as real as possible, to how they
would look like in life. Michelangelo demonstrated this technique through his statue, The David. The
Renaissance also focused on what is now called the ideal renaissance man , which was an athletic
looking, handsome, and intelligent man. During this time, the Caravel was invented, which was a
large boat used mostly for exploration. This was a new way to spread the ideas and also expand
territory. These were the same boats that Columbus used to found North America. Another key event
during this time was the Spanish Inquisition. Spain decided that they only wanted Catholics in there
country so the soon used violence to convert the Muslims and Jews to Catholicism. Soon most of
Spain had become Catholic. These are just a few of the characteristics of the Renaissance, which all
connect together and in short, shape the decisions of the people of this time. The 15th century was
filled with many religious complications and many of the new moral standards and lifestyles were
affected by the disasters that occurred in the 14th century. There was the Western Schism, church
corruption, and the Spanish Inquisition, all of which changed the church to the modern sense they are
now. Throughout the

  • 2. Social Media Integration Theory Of Isra Garcia (2010) Social Media Integration Theory of Isra Garcia (2010) According to Isra Garcia (2010), The exposure, feedback, engagement , connection and sharing that Social Media platforms provides, creates a major changes for the traditional communication understanding. The flow of communication is no longer considered as a one way street in which audience received messages through the I communicate you receive mantra. Rather, Social Media integration is seen as an interactive process in which there is more than two people communicating to each other at the same time that enables same level information exchange among the users. Social bookmarking sites such as blogs or web pages place content into an active eco system that allows social media interaction such as Twitter or Facebook. This content is then partaked and spread virally through the interaction made on the social media eco system. This refers to people being connected to people through common groups, associations, and interests. Since this becomes the six degrees of separation this interaction causes the viral effect. This social media platform allows the interaction and the ability for the model to flow and become organic. Then, the social networking platforms enable the connection with the public through the engagement approach caused by the two way ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... • 3. Hustler Vs Falwell Case Study I. Hustler v. Falwell II. 485 U.S. 46 (1988) III. Facts: In Hustler v. Falwell a dispute arose when Hustler Magazine, a a magazine that circulates nationwide featured a parody of an advertisement for Campari Liqueur. The inside front cover of the magazine presented interviews with celebrities who described their first time. One of the parodies belonged to Jerry Falwell, a nationally acclaimed minister who was featured as describing his first time with his mother when they were both intoxicated from drinking Campari Liqueur. While the interviews with the celebrities contained a double sexual reference, it was evident in the end that the ads were referring to the first time the celebrities had tried Campari Liqueur. However, after the magazine was accessible to the public, Jerry Falwell sued Hustler Magazine and its publisher for libel, invasion of privacy, and intentional infliction of emotional distress. At trial court the judge dismissed the invasion of privacy claim and then sent the case to the jury where they ruled Hustler Magazine on the claim of intentional infliction of emotional distress and awarded Jerry Falwell $150,000. The case was then taken to the Supreme Court level on appeal by the petitioner, Jerry Falwell. IV. Issues: (1) Does the First Amendment s freedom of speech prohibit public figures from recovering damages for intentional infliction of emotional distress? V. Decision and Action: (1) No. Reversed. • 4. Malaga Island History Malaga Island is located at the mouth of New Meadows River in Phippsburg, Maine. Within the last 1,000 years, Native Americans inhabited the 42 acres rocky and rugged island. Not a lot is known about how the inhabitants lived, but now there are lots known about the later residents that occupied the island s northern part from the 1860s to 1912. One of the possible origins traced back to an African American man named Benjamin Darling. In 1794, he bought Horse Island which is now known as Harbor Island, located near Malaga Island. All of Darling s descendants and families started to live on the island, but Fatima Darling Griffin and Henry Griffin were the first ones to live on Malaga Island. Rather, African American communities took on African customs and incorporated them into their own distinct worldview, and these new African American customs were even transferred back to the Continent. The Atlantic served as a passageway that did moved more than human bodies, but also the traditions that those bodies carried with them. Evidence for this phenomenon is found through both anecdotal stories from the Lowcountry as well as through anthropological findings on the way material objects were understood and used. • 8. The Colonial Education System When a person thinks of an education system, they most likely think of the education system that was in place when they went to school. That system however had many different influences to become what it was. Some of those influences came from the different regions in the American colonial time. In American colonial time, the Europeans who were settling along the coast all shared a general culture and heritage. They however had differences when it came to their economic, political and religious beliefs. Those main factors, as well as others, such as language and geography, motivated them to split into different colonies. Those colonies can be grouped into three regions which are the New England, the southern and the Middle Atlantic colonies. Since each region had their differences, with the main difference being the type of religion practiced, each region had a different style for education. The New England colonies included Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. They followed the views of the Puritanism and Calvinism. The Puritan belief system did not have a lot of patience with children, and they expected them to act as if they were young adults. One view on children was that They were small savages who needed constant upbraiding and discipline to curb their evil inclinations and desires (as cited in Gutek, 2013). The education system of the New England colonies greatly reflected that view, where the teachers used great discipline to keep ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Human Resource Professionals And Human Resources Organisations of all kinds face changes in their environment, and there is a need for individuals who are capable of turning strategy into reality. • 11. The Pastor And Teacher As A Gift And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ... (Ephesians 4:11 12). This passage in Ephesians establishes the ability to be a pastor and teacher as a gift. The pastor is often looked at as the face of a local church. This is evidenced by the fact that when people are discussing a church, someone will almost certainly ask the question: Who is the pastor of that church? . The pastor plays an important part in a local church. He is generally looked to as the leader, the head teacher, and the lead counselor to a specific local assembly. But a pastor s not just the leader of a local church. It s important to examine how the Bible defines a pastor. The word used for pastor in Ephesians 4 literally means shepherd. The same word is used in 1 Peter 5 when Peter instructs the elders to shepherd the flock of God. For this reason, we can know that role of elder and overseer are synonymous with pastor. They are interchangeable terms. Elders were appointed by apostles to be in charge of a local church (Acts 14:23). This is what Jesus meant when he told Peter to shepherd My sheep (John 21:16). Shepherds, naturally, were in charge of the sheep they tended. They feed them, guide them, care for, and retrieve their sheep. • 13. The Principle Of Conducting Research The principle of conducting research is sprouting and growing, which it has turned out to be a important skill in today s modern world. A main importance of nursing is to deliver patients with high quality and excellent service and care. It has concluded and established that lack of research in clinical practice is merely a practice without validation. Research is dynamic and a vital component used in appraising the efficiency and efficacy of modalities in nursing treatments and also to examining the outcome of nursing care on a patient s health. In a situation when challenges and changes occur in nursing practices, thus research needs to be conducted in order to address these needs or challenges. Quantitative research is a recognized, official, objective, rigorous, systematic process for creating statistical information and data about the nation. Quantitative research is conducted to define new circumstances, procedures, impression or ideas; test the relationships among variables; and to determine and conclude the effectiveness and efficacy of treatments in the whole world (Burns, 2011). Qualitative research is a systematic, subjective approach used to describe life experiences and give them meaning. Qualitative research is not a new idea in the social or behavioral sciences (Burns, 2011). Qualitative research consists of a detailed, thorough and complete description of circumstances or events whereas quantitative research is the approach in attempts to describe these ... Neobehaviorism believed that the core of psychology is the study of learning, most behavior, no matter how complex, can be accounted for by the laws of conditioning, and psychology must adopt the principle of operationism (Schultz Schultz, 2011). The gestalt school of thought was considered an original, undistorted, natural approach to understanding a person s thinking, acting, and feeling. The greatest value in the Gestalt approach, according to Perls, Hefferline and Goodman (1951, p.xi) lies in the insight that the whole determines the parts, which contrasts with the previous assumption that the whole is merely the total sum of its elements . Wertheimer asserted that we perceive objects in the same way we perceive apparent motion, as unified wholes rather than clusters of individual sensations. The Gestalt principles are the basic rules that we use to make sense of or organize our perceptual world (Schultz Schultz, 2011 p. 272). There are six principles proximity, continuity, similarity, closure, simplicity, and figure/ground (Schultz Schultz, 2011). It is a question that many people do not want to discuss because it brings up fear. Regardless of what people believe, all humankind will be judged in the end. Judgement Day, or the Judgement, is something that will happen in end times where God has selected a day to judge the world in righteousness. All people who have lived upon the earth, including fallen angels, will stand before Christ and give an account for his or her actions, thoughts, and words. The Judgment will be discussed in order to describe how it has been interpreted and studied as well as why it is important in life today. In order for one to believe that there will be a final judgement, one must have a specific worldview. One must believe that there is a God. This does not necessarily mean they are Christian as a person can believe in a God without actually following Him. One must believe in the Bible and that it is the inerrant word of God. One must also believe in Heaven and Hell and a basic belief in Eschatology. Eschatology comes from a Greek word eschados which means last and logia which means the study of . • 23. Social Control And Its Impact On America s Public Housing... Promised a helping hand, security, and affordable living, residents of Chicago s public housing soon found themselves in dilapidated, drug infested, crime filled, isolated centers of despair. During a time in which most American citizens could easily turn their eyes from the struggles of the poor, Sudhir Venkatesh s Gang Leader for a Day took readers into the depths of the world in which the poor resided. Through Venkatesh s work, readers are inadvertently introduced to broader sociological concepts such as, collective efficacy within communities, the concentration effect, recurring themes of morality, and the underlying power of race, class, and gender as it related to the crime that took place during Venkatesh s ethnographic like research. Collective efficacy is defined as social control exerted by cohesive communities in which there exists a mutual trust and shared responsibilities including the care of children (Siegel, 2011). When a neighborhood, or in this case a building complex, has high collective efficacy it is believed to lower crime rates because the community members are essentially setting the standards for the behavior for what will and what will not be accepted. However, in Gang Leader for a Day, I have noticed a deviation. The people who lived in the Robert Taylor homes had been there for years, take women such as Ms. Mae and Ms. Bailey for example. In November of 1852, there was a widespread search in order to find Solomon. Solomon was found in the same year. On January 4, 1853, Solomon legally obtained total freedom. Firstly, Obamacare is called Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act , but it is usually called, ACA . Before I go into further detail regarding ACA, there is a big misconception regarding Obamacare. Obamacare is a health insurance reform, not healthcare reform. Also, Obamacare and ACA are the same things. Firstly, ACA was effective on March 23 2010, as a health insurance reform. The ACA required every citizen in the United States to have health insurance by the year 2014. The reason for this is that they can balance a number of healthy people to sick people, so they can keep the premiums down for everybody. Also, the ACA requires all corporations with 50+ employees to pay for their female employees birth control. For my seminar, I hope to accomplish a court trial seminar. To be honest, Kishen did more work think Christina even though he didn t show up much. Even though Kishen gave his part of the work one day before a seminar date, Christina did even doing anything. To get around this problem, I did their part of the work, so we can finish our seminar and get somewhere further. The way we overcame the first obstacle is that we made Paige have an illegal abortion. The reason for that is that the ACA covers abortion. We tried to make it a bit different from the Hobby Lobby case so it could be ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...
